cullen's crush on f amell/surana drives me insane. is he the first templar to have taken interest in you? have you been dealing with this your entire life? how long has this been going on? how long did it take you to notice the extra pair of eyes on you in the hallway? does he know you or does he just think you're pretty? did he mean it when he said he'd kill you? do you believe him? do you find yourself alone in corridors with him often? is it a coincidence? is he one of the good ones? is he stronger than you? whose side will the knight commander take if you have to defend yourself? is it worth it? how many of your friends have survived a situation like this? how many haven't? what are your odds? are you feeling lucky? are you sure?

Ages of the Primarchs when Found
In case any body needs this, my ass has decided to calculate their ages of roughly based on the year 792.M30 being when they were tossed out: Horus: 9 years old Leman Russ: 27 years [REDACTED]
Ferrus Manus: 32 years Fulgrim: 38 years old Vulkan: 40 years old Rogal Dorn: 43 years old Roboute Guilliman: 45 years old Magnus the Red: 48 years old Sanguinius: 51 years old Lion El'Johnson: 54 years old Perturabo: 57 years old Mortarion: 62 years old Lorgar: 65 years old Jaghatia Khan: 73 years old Konrad Curze: 104 years old Angron: 107 years old Corvus Corax: 130 years old [REDACTED]
Alpharius/Omegon: 189 years old
Thought this was interesting to calculate how old each of the Primarchs were when found, and damn I suppose the reason Horus might've been the favourite was because he was actually raised by the Emperor meanwhile almost everyone else was found long into their adulthood.
Here's the one for when they died/demonized/warp fucked

Ooook I think this needs to be done
My bet is 16 wins the poll (<Not indicative of my vote)
I wanted to include 11 for both extreme sides of possibility, I ran out of options and I've seen a lot of people suggest he's in the twenties and didn't want to exclude those. If you vote eleven/twelve, or twenty three plus, feel free to specify which in replies or tags or whatever.
Looking in the notes of my posts, I didn't realise everyone in this fandom liked math so much. But a very mention of the number 4, and everyone likes square numbers and math puns. Go figure.
Edit/update section: Hmm I meant to add this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jojo's words thus far on Four's age- 'not too far off in age' from Twilight (Four's theoretical words?), and grouped in teens with Wind. A bit confusing, there.
Anyways have fun! Maybe the whole fandom can be the apollos dodgeball meme if we get it right :)

i was thinking about how many distinct pairs there would be in a reintegrated mark/hellyna/gemma ship so i calculated it. there would be 112. 115 if you count their reintegrated selves as distinct people as well. this is SO far beyond a love triangle

A "RETURN of the Number of PERSONS FLOGGED in the BRITISH NAVY, in each of the Years 1845 and 1846; specifying the Name of the Ship, the Offence, the Sentence and the Number of Lashes Infficted." Parlamentary Paper, Number 661 of Session 1847
So after reading the Post about Jopsons Flogging by @handfuloftime I went down a research rabbit hole because I wanted to see if their exist sufficient & specific enough Data to accuratly compare his punishment and put it in the historical context.
I found this Website, which features the two tables from the Parlamentary Papers and their Source.
(Note: The tables on the website are incomplete and inaccurate in certain places. I compared it from top to bottom to the original source and corrected/added the informations in my table.)
I used that as a basis for my own table, where I also added Averages and Sliders so people can search the Informations!
(Apparently Sliders don't work on Mobil, and I don't know enough about Google Sheets how to fix it :/
If anyone knows or if you find a some kind mistake please let me know.)
This week I visited the University Libary, which has access to the Parlamentary Papers Online, to see if such tables also exist for earlier years but sadly 1845 was the first year where they went into such Specifics.
(I hope to add some of the Years after 1846 to the table, when I can.)
Earlier years only had these Informations per Year:
Total Number of Punishments
Total Number of Lashes
Highest Number of Lashes Inflicted at One Time
Lowest Number of Lashes Inflicted at One Time
This Information for 1839 - 1846 under the Cut.
Also under the Read More are some Graphs, Medians & Averages about Flogging for Drunkenness Alone, seperated by Seamen, Marines, Boys and Everyone!
Hope that someone find this useful/interesting !

Deer math 2: electric boogaloo
Tumblr media
Assuming the good people of king's landing somehow manage to kill enough deer to reduce the total population by 10% annually (which means they kill 1,500,000 the first year, more than 4,000 EVERY DAY) it would still take twenty years to get the population density to something sensible

This is a pretty interesting reaction
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering his "about Mavuika" is basically a revelation about the role of Malio that goes:
“For most of my life, I’ve been getting others to pay a price. Then, the Pyro Archon used the Ode of Resurrection to bring me back from the Night Kingdon, and suddenly I was the one paying the price… Only then did I understand it from both sides. To the stronger party, the “price” is a bargaining chip, and to the weaker party, it’s a sign of what’s at stake. What matters is whether you have the courage to make the gamble.”
As a bonus, @sapphireshineonao3 made s good point that this was quite possibly the moment he awoke his Ancient Name, this was the revelation that prompted a connection to Burkina ans the flood of memories. The moment he became aware of the insane gamble the heroes 500 years ago took on the future.
What he's saying here kind of feels like a different attitude to his "about Mavuika" quote, there's no sign of disdain in calling it courageous to take the gamble that, in hindsight, is probably specifically considering the 500 year plan, but you know what's changed since since he had this revelation? They actually went through with that gamble and it turned out that Mavuika was supposed to die to see it done, one of those hidden costs he speaks about here maybe? Sure, in the end she didn't pay it, but it did ultimately cost a life.
Looking back on his pov of the whole thing...I wonder if he feels some sort of responsibility to have seen that coming? He, of all people, knows that gambling can ruin you, his dad taught him that in the worst possible way, yet when he understood the bargaining from both sides after his brush with death he didn't suspect a hidden cost, just paid attention to the risk of it working at all.
In a weird way...that does circle back around to tell us a lot about how he thinks of Mavuika - after a lifetime treating people warily and squaring away any possible debts as soon as possible to feel safe from being taken advantage of, he blindly took her word for it that she was being completely honest about the plan both in Burkinas memories and when they talked about it in the present. And she did, in fact, take the opportunity to hide something important from them.
So...is the dig at gamblers possibly a bit aimed at her? As in, he's pissed off about that secret price and has no outlet bc its hard to blame someone for being willing to die to save everyone, and then this event happens and he's so strongly reminded of his dad that he can't hold back from lashing out at all of what's happened recently?
