Now and then I have a little giggle when I recall that JJ Abrams made Rey Palpatine's grandkid via some sort of nonsensical cloning plot. It's not the worst thing in the ST but I do think it's emblematic of why it's bad. Signifier without substance. Derivative *and* gutless. Tried to rip off ESB without understanding how the Vader reveal works as a narrative beat, gave Sheev spawn, and didn't even have enough courage of their convictions to admit that he fucks.

Like we all know Vader spent two decades pining gloomily after Padmé. But Palpatine? Sheev Palpatine? The guy whose two modes are smiling smug self-satisfied secret smiles to himself and crowing POWER, UNLIMITED POWER? The guy who cackles with maniacal relish anytime he gets to let his hair down and have a lightsaber fight? That guy is a hedonist. Tell me I'm wrong. That man is at all times enjoying the hell out of being irredeemably evil. He is a literal emperor, the vastly powerful and mostly unchallenged ruler of the galaxy, reveling in a victory he spent many years plotting and scheming for. And they had to invent some half-assed narrative afterthought of a cloning program rather than simply allowing us to assume that at some point in the two+ decades between ROTS and ROTJ, that man got laid? The cowardice. The incompetence. The sheer commitment to taking every conceivable L

How powerful is Vocx compared to Vox? Is either more powerful than the other? How differently is the Voxtech run and what's their reputation like in Hell?

Vocx is more powerful by far. I picture vox as one of those people who smiles on the surface but attempting to teach him anything makes him resent the fuck out of you. Vocx doesn’t have that problem. He’s got pride but he’s got no problem putting away to learn from his betters. So he both has more tricks just from the other overlords and more social connections and powerful friends. Letting other people teach you things is a sure fire way to make friends. People, no matter how awful, all like feeling smart and helping.

Plus I’m kinda yanking the Yrz method of contracting and having Vocx be one of the fairest overlords to work for (except without yrzs moral objections to literally owning people lol. When in rome etc). He treats it like an actual job, with performance reviews and everything. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, so being one of Vocxs people is considered pretty desirable. The grunts in the company don’t get contracts but above a certain level, being promoted means being contracted to Vocx.

Trying to finalize my Glenn Krampus so I can draw him with his balls out (/j). Which do y’all like more: Glenn classic, or Glenn but Shadow/more goat.

Pros of Glenn Classic: Looks like Glenn! We like that guy!

Cons of Glenn Classic: Not as goat. Less Krampus, more Glenn

Pros of Glenn But More Goat: mysterious and a smidge more monster-y. That’s sexy right?

Cons: you don’t get to see his beautiful eyes as easily.

If you like X27: my fav trope is the ‘Tsuna realizes he can marry Xanxus and then HE can be Decimo while Tsuna rocks the housewife chaos’. We don’t see it often but I love it.

Bonus if Tsuna just declares this and runs roughshod over Xanxus. Reborn, baffled, goes: you know what? Chaos.

Wait Tsuna finding a loophole so he doesn’t have to be Decimo/is Decimo in name only is so funny. He would have the Varia so well trained and also terrified of him.

Tenets of Conquest

A paladin who takes this oath has the tenets of conquest seared on the upper arm.

Douse the Flame of Hope.

I do enjoy a Bhaalist that is uncannily close to a Banite. In more ways than one. Also burning the tenets into ur skin? Yeah that does sound like Durge.

Also also, conquest paladins have a tendency to hate other conquest paladins but especially those who sided with the nine hells. So he nd the tyrant can bond about their shared hatred for everyone associated with the hells <3 well as long as my guy doesn’t join the hells knights in Avernus for some fun himself I suppose, you never know when ur conquest paladin may betray you after all
