"Stop making them gay"
The main reason a lot of male characters in Naruto didn't have a chance with each other despite being written like lovebirds, is because Shonen doesn't do "gay". Itachi was canonically more attached to Shisui than to Izumi and Naruto more to Sasuke than to Hinata, but Shonen insists to be traditionally masculine, and traditional masculinity rejects what it assumes of homosexuality minus its allowance for "manly tears" or flamboyant outfits. Instead, it exaggerates male friendships/brotherhood to a point that is far from credible and has to screech "no homo" as a constant disclaimer. The Naruto franchise may have started "low key shipping" SNS as a joke, but it's not a baseless one at all.
ShiIta are so similar to Romeo & Juliet, it's ridiculous. While they weren't from warring clans, they were loyal to warring entities and bound to be pitted against each other in the coup if it had gone down and Shisui been alive. The conflict between the Uchiha clan and Konoha was in the way of them being as close as they wanted to be, with Shisui being tasked to spy on Itachi and Itachi tasked to spy on the clan Shisui was loyal to, so they had to meet secretly. Ultimately, they were both sacrificed for peace and for what was left of their respective allegiances (Sasuke and Konoha).
Naruto stepped in repeatedly when Itachi was beating up Sasuke, but kept pushing Hinata to fight Neji against whom she clearly stood no chance and who was intending to kill her, because he is pathologically ready to disrespect Sasuke's wishes to save him, but projected his own, naive ideals onto Hinata with no regard for her life, just because it made HIM mad to watch. I mean, he was visibly shocked when Hinata confessed to him 16 years into their lives... She was never a priority in his life before The Last, and he probably would have equally lost it if Pain had beaten up Moegi that way, because he was already livid over Jiraiya, Kakashi, the village etc. and wasn't about to stand for one more friend getting killed by this terrorist. Hinata, at that time, meant little more to him than his other classmates, Sasuke did and always has. He literally asked her why she'd risk her life for him because he did not see or feel anything that would make that question redundant. Izumi wasn't mentioned once post-mortem except vaguely, by Obito, while Shisui's influence on Itachi, both ideological and emotional, is canon gospel. It's so great that I can't help but wonder if he used Kotoamatsukami on Itachi before giving him his remaining eye. "Friendship" and "brotherhood" are NOT "emotional co-dependency and self-destructive emulation". Neither is a healthy romantic relationship, but people in fiction more typically go insane over or sacrifice their authentic self for, (lost) romance than (lost) friendship or siblings.
There's also nothing platonic about stalking your "friend" to a point where he feels compelled to kill you while you're screaming that you're gonna break all of his bones if that's what it takes to keep him by your side. Nothing cute or sane either, mind you. Sasuke and Naruto are a lot like Sarah and Setsuna of Angel Sanctuary. Sure, they're meant to be siblings or sibling-like, but DAMN that's not a sibling-appropriate degree of obsession.
Shonen has a tendency to exaggerate the importance of bonds and convictions, but Kishimoto took it to a level that has licensing companies make jokes in the form of couple-coded merch or fan service scenes. Even if he didn't do it on purpose, he clearly did it on such a blatantly obvious level that you get shit like this:

i went into the itasaku tag and there's a lot of art of them with minato. (if you just went WTF WHY? it's because in the big favorite character poll that happened semi recently, they're the top 3 favorite characters.) anyway obviously i started to go "hmmm could that ship WORK though"
here is what i have so far
itachi and sakura accidentally time travel directly into the middle of the third shinobi war. this forces an unlikely team-up thing for survival.
i think itachi is so committed to his villain bit he would rather fuck himself over royally than team up with sakura. sakura is SLIGHTLY more likely to play nice but still needs dire circumstances as motivation. so maybe: they end up immediately in enemy territory with their konoha headband (sakura) and uchiha eyes (itachi) and become immediate targets. suddenly sakura is like "hey i need you to kill everyone" and instead of doing that itachi coughs up blood. she can point him at enemies though and he'll genjutsu them and that works great. like this
Tumblr media
so sakura is like "okay i need your help as a more experienced ninja for my own survival" bc yeah sakura is a badass, but she's never had to go on the run before or fight more than a handful of ninja at once. meanwhile itachi is breathing better than he has in years after one (1) session with sakura and suddenly a temporary team up seems like a great idea. like yes he wants sasuke to kill him but in order for that to happen he needs to live long enough to un-time travel himself.
however. neither of them have any idea what's happening. they get into stupid nerd fights over details of historical events. they cite publications at each other. frequently it turns out both of them are wrong. they also argue over whether or not they should seek help from konoha
sakura: you don't have to TELL the uchiha you murder them all in the future???? just use your fancy eyes to legitimize being an uchiha so they believe us!
itachi: (silent internal emoting)
meanwhile jiraiya has picked up on the most INSANE rumors of a tsunade impersonator smashing forests and mountains and shit. she may or may not have an even worse orochimaru impersonator with her. jiraiya sends minato to investigate.
there's a lot of fanboy debate over if minato could beat itachi in a fight. and for the purposes of this fic, i'm going to say: yes, yes he can. and it's incredibly upsetting for both itachi AND sakura
minato, to sakura, while sitting on itachi: okay so if you ARE an impersonator, your tsunade costume is really bad
sakura: (TERRIFIED SILENT SCREAMING?)
minato: but your jutsu impersonation is pretty spot on.....?
minato: (looks down between his knees at itachi) did you do that with your..... sharingan....... mr. uchiha bastard?
itachi: (has never been more confused in his life. he's never lost a fight this bad. he assumed losing a fight this bad would mean he'd die. he's not confused about being called a bastard though. that just happens.)
then idk. maybe they tell minato they're time travelers and he takes them back to jiraiya. the mood is very "minato is strong and hot and friendly. this is both sakura and itachi's type they didn't know they had. but also. help."
jiraiya: hmmm well, this one's obviously an uchiha, but YOU need to prove you're really tsunade-hime's apprentice. tell me...... what are her measurements
sakura: (pulverizes a boulder with her bare fist) does that answer your question or should i demonstrate on something else ( :
jiraiya: wow it's a mini-tsunade no further questions!!!!
i think i want minato to be in the 18-19 range so it's right around the time of itachi's birth. they decide itachi and sakura shouldn't go to konoha to reduce time travel shenanigans, such as accidentally preventing their own births. it seems like itachi would especially be at risk for butterfly effecting himself
sakura: (thoughtful expression)
itachi: no.
sakura: i don't say anything!
minato: ???? aren't you allies?
sakura: inside joke :) don't worry about it :)
so minato ends up their konoha proxy. he goes and researches un-time traveling them and then shows up and acts.... really charming? like when minato tells you everything will be okay, you believe him. and he's SMART and HANDSOME and once SETTLES AN ARGUMENT OVER WHERE THE RICE COUNTRY CAPITAL, WHICH MOVES ON AVERAGE EVERY THREE MONTHS DURING THE WAR, CURRENTLY IS. he's not even condescending that they're both wrong. itachi keeps thinking about him wrestling him down into submission and he doesn't know why. sakura is rethinking her personal definition of "dreamy"
sakura after minato leaves: this is SO upsetting. he's not even my type. i like dark and brooding.
itachi: what
sakura: DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT
and theeeen...... maybe they both get so sexually frustrated over minato they have sex with each other, idk don't worry about it

THE EYES THAT REFLECTS THE HEART
Uchiha clan is much more affectionate than others. So the difference in Uchiha's love lies in the way they express their affection. Their love is hard to understand more like a complicated one. So if we look at the depth of their affection, it is such an overwhelming love. It is expressed in the form of "self-sacrifice" and also how they are entering into darkness because of this. And that is what expressed in their eyes in the form of Sharingan, that's the 'power of love'. Love affect your eyes, right?? So when an uchiha felt 'love', it slowly awakens their mind & heart. And when it (love) breaks and sealed forever it turns into sharingan and then to Mangekyo Sharingan, means it awakens their eyes bcz they lost 'the love' and it never gonna return to them. And also it doesn't mean that sharingan eyes are only awakened because of the loss of love.
Eg: 1) Sasuke awakened his sharingan to protect Naruto from Haku. (As for Sasuke, his awakening will always be linked to Naruto)
Tumblr media
2) Obito awakened his sharingan when he wants to protect his comrades. Obito clearly loves and cares for his teammate, and he has never shown favoritism towards just one person. But Rin is special to him. Even when he was in the cave with Madara, with that body, he trained hard to become strong enough to reach out to his teammates. All he could think about was the happy moments he had with his sensei and teammates. No one was excluded from his thoughts. So his teammates encouraged him and pushed him to train and get stronger.
Tumblr media
[ See the difference in how both parties (sasuke & Obito) awakens their power for different purposes. Obito -> for his teammates and Sasuke-> only for 'Naruto' ]
So to awaken the sharingan it's not always of 'negative emotions ' but for to protect their important ones.
-> And when it come to 「大きな愛の喪失や」 “the loss of a great love”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
大きな - big; large; great. 愛 - love; affection. 喪失 loss; forfeit.
1) Madara awakens his sharingan when he was forced to sever his friendship with Hashirama. He didn't awaken when he lost his siblings, but when it came to a boy he met for a few days, his eyes responded. That boy is more important than his blood brother. So 'loss of love' here does not mean the death of a person. But a broken heart. His heart is broken, the love sealed in his heart is opened, and it is reflected in his eyes.
Tumblr media
2) Obito awakens Mangekyō Sharingan when rin died. That's a permanent lost even if that's an unrequited love. Obito's world was shattered when Rin died at Kakashi's hands. His desperate efforts to save his teammates become futile when he finds he has lost the one he truly loves. He cannot accept the reality he has seen with his own eyes. It is a complete disappointment. He had no regrets when he died, but he believed that everything would be fine after that, but everyone failed him.
Tumblr media
3) Sasuke's first awakening when he realizes his brother is going to leave him. (It's not because of his parents, it's because of his brother. Can't blame him for that bcz a parental figure in his eyes was his brother. There were no friends, happy memories or anything from his clan. It was entirely about Itachi and his parents played a very small role in his life.)
Tumblr media
4) Sasuke awakens his third tomoe when he determines to cut his bond with Naruto. (A premonition of an unstoppable loss. The feeling of losing him. The lose of love is a terrible thing. It is worse than death. So in this part sasuke's deep affection for Naruto was well expressed. Don't forget that he didn't want to kill him, but he was heartbroken and decided to kill Naruto in order to gain MS. It is a strong emotional state that shows in his eyes. That means sharingan- “the eye that reflects the heart ” and MS - “the eye that reflects the heart of love”)
Tumblr media
5) Sasuke awakens Mangekyo Sharingan after his brother died and Obito reveals the truth behind UMC.
Tumblr media
At the end Itachi's actions drove Sasuke's heart filled with hatred, who kidnapped Killer Bee...and it started the Kage summit... at last his action led into Shinobi War. Itachi stopped the war by protecting the village by lying to Sasuke... And that lie created another war and a threat to the village in the form of Sasuke.
These people have a beautiful side that others don't know about. We get to see a different Madara when he was with Hashirama. His cute and adorable side that he shows towards Hashirama. When it comes to Sasuke we can see his embarrassment, nervousness and shyness towards Naruto. When sasuke with his older brother he becomes a little baby. Obito was a good, kindhearted and loveable kid. Aside from uchihas, Zabuza killed many people for fun and earned the nickname 'A Demon' but in Haku's view he wasn't a complete demon.
Because of these that Hashirama-Madara and Naruto-Sasuke bond was different from others. There are things in common for Hashirama-Madara, like 'the loss of brothers' and 'a goal to change the shinobi world'. And for Sasuke and Naruto it was “loneliness”. And they fought each other only for their personal matters. But that was not the case with H&M. So with these features, the bond between them always stands out. Their bond wasn't like Kakashi- Obito (friendly bond) and Sasuke - Itachi (brotherly bond). Because Kishimoto wrote HM & NS as 愛 typically with the connotation of romantic love.
The family crest on the back of Uchiha and Sasuke's fire elements probably also symbolize love is fire and the wind (Naruto) energize and give warm to his heart. “Only wind can assist and magnify fire”.

UNSPOKEN AFFECTIONS.

" he taught her how to love, but not how to stop... "
characters: uchiha itachi x reader
genre: angst, romance
about: it took one glance to form a connection between them. whereas uchiha itachi saw her as a beautiful thing too valuable for someone like himself, y/n yearned to cross all the bridges to him. and in the end, it could only be a temporary escape.
THEIR FIRST ENCOUNTER TAKES place when Y/n is just a young novice following the older geishas around in order to learn the ways of her soon to be profession, timid, reserved and well practiced in avoiding unwanted mishaps; it was not her choice to be at the okiya in the capital of the Land of Crimson Trees, a smaller nation next to the Land of Fire where the forests and trees would artistically never change color and remain red all throughout the year, however, she came from a poor background out of which she had been made to rely on her own appearence. Her hands are most often hidden beneath the white sleeves of her simple, modest kimono, but on such a certain day they're visible and tinkering away at her shamisen一 a traditional three-stringed musical instrument. As she plays, four figures emerge from the darkness of the cold winter night and enter the popular yet secluded okiya house, bringing in with them all the frozen wind from outside which contrasts the warm, cozy elegance of the interior.
At the head of the group, behind another, there's a handsome but cold-looking shinobi. He's lethal but sophisticated, she can tell by simply appreciating his features and the neutral grace he moves about with; a combination of death and beauty. Though his face is cold and unreadable, Y/n finds herself filled with a strange warmth in his presence, even if his passive stare is far greater an effect than the cool breeze she feels from outside.
Itachi was tasked by their leader to come with the  other Akatsuki members to look for her mentor and the owner of the okiya, the full fledged, aristocratic head geisha known as Akanemio, he has a specific purpose but he can't take his eyes off of her as she plays.
Although no words are ever exchanged, she can sense his admiration.
His companions seem to take note of his change in demeanor. They shift their stances, unsure of what to do with the unknown emotion that suddenly takes over the atmosphere.
When asked that she serve them at their table by a louder one of them which she assumes it's his partner, it isn't Y/n's liberty to decide. Matsume, her current teacher of musical instruments and the second most revered geisha of their house declines politely, explaining that she is but a new one, and that her job is to play music.
After a few seconds, Itachi continues on his way. Y/n remains where she is, rooted to her spot.
This, this shared moment of understanding, it has an unspoken implication: that even if they know nothing of each other, their brief meeting is enough一 enough to make them feel something beyond attraction.
. . .
The second encounter comes as a surprise to Y/n because Akanemio allows her to sit in on the private, shoji divided gathering of the Akatsuki members one summer day, an event she would mandatory attend alone. This time she's instructed to follow through her mentor's exquisite movements and move her hands delicately to pour sake for the guests, a total of six. Apparently, Akanemio works tightly linked with the organization and the Akatsuki regard her with great respect from what she can pick of their conversation; she sits then, listening obediently, hands resting in her lap.
Only her gaze flutters, discreetly raising her head to allow herself to long for and catch that of the ever blazing sharingan.
The tension between them feels almost unbearable, when, in an inopportune time when she makes to pour him wine and the distance closes in causing her to weaver, Y/n accidentally knocks over the cup of sake, spilling it across the table.
The disapproval etched on Akanemio's expression speaks volumes, yet completely hidden behind her well matured, painted countenance.
Recovering quick and knowing a punishment would await her, she reaches out to clean it up but the Uchiha male swiftly stops her, his gaze turning icy. "That sake was poisoned." he says, at last.
Y/n is more entranced by his voice, which she hears for the first time, rather than the gravity of the situation. She forgets there might be a traitor at their house, or that she'd be discredited for her mistake, focused on the rogue nin due to him touching her hand.
The same emotion hangs in the air, with the promise of something more, but neither of them dares to speak.
She looks up into his eyes. The girl feels a shiver down her spine as his gaze lingers on her. But finally, Itachi breaks the spell and Y/n stands, claiming her rightful, seated corner a little bit behind Akanemio.
She's not sure she can explain the fact he too seems interested in her except nothing other than her keen observation can prove that.
It's almost as if it's not there…yet it is.
. . .
Itachi glances around the large room, lined with walls of paper doors and permeated with the smell of spring cherry blossoms; he spots her from across the stage, her beauty soft and inviting, dressed in a deep red kimono on this grand night because she is no longer just a novice or an upper maiko: she is a geisha, one whose first performance must be bought by the highest paying client.
She has no way of knowing that is him, but she would be grateful to meet him once again.
The music is a form of an epic tragedy and the dance accentuates her mastered art, fluid poise threading lightly along to the traditional beat of solemn drums.
When the song ends, Y/n goes to change, feeling nervous: it's then another geisha, Kozakura, tells her the bid ended and the winner would come to accompany her to her room…which she welcomes with both wonder and anticipation upon receiving the visit of the one person she hasn't seen in almost another year: Uchiha Itachi.
When she opens the door, she finds him with a determined look in his hues. He steps into the room and gently closes the door behind him, not letting anything一 not even words 一 stand in their way.
Itachi knows this may be his last chance to feel love from another human being, with his fate uncertain. No, his fate is decided, he himself walking to his own self machinated demise only making it seem it'll be at his brother's powerful hands. He feels an intense desire to draw this moment out and savour it, a reminder that despite his dark and solitary life, his heart still beats. He has only one night before he sets to leave and he wants to use it to indulge in one last pleasant memory.
He says, low and slow: "I won't be coming back from this."
Y/n's reaction clenches to something dreadful, comprehending immediately his cryptic comment. It's not another mission, he speaks about his own end.
She knew already, she has known he was sick because she heard his perfectly controlled yet strained breathing pattern when she'd gotten close to him due to the spilled cup of sake. But she never expected to what extent and that he planned from the start not to stay around much longer…
She's in love with a man who'd soon die out of his own volition, and whose feelings he preferred to negate than to atleast permit himself to want a momentary distraction from his purpose, as if he didn't wish for them nor deserved them, which are both lies.
"I know…" It's Y/n's simple response, daring to walk forward and touch him.
Her presence illuminates the darkness, stare glowing brighter, as if beckoning him closer.
Itachi obliges and kisses her, his lips fusing with hers as strong emotions of need and desire overwhelm them both.
The passionate evening doesn't last long: it isn't meant to. They know their time together is merely fleeting.
As he leaves the room, Y/n gives him a small token: a carved piece of crimson stone wrung on a black string as a reminder that she will always cherish his existence.
It would later become a mystery of whom it belonged to, questioning the origin of the item fallen from his cloak by his younger brother, after he presumably killed him.
"The red sun sets, the moon is lonely." it read...
. . .
a/n: hi, share / reblog if you like! and do follow me for more content to come.

It was a soft summer night. The dusk faded in an eternal black of the night, riddled with the stars and the moon. This is when Sasuke and Mimi came out to play. Creatures of the night, who like to hide in the shadows of the barely lit Konoha training grounds. Both the decedents of the two founding Clans, wearing the burden of expectations since their early childhood: They were expected to be strong, determined to carry on the will of fire without a second thought. But these two had second thoughts due to traumatic events. With Itachi slaughtered his own Clan, like cutting off the roots of a young blossoming tree, Sasuke tried to grow up without roots. Of course he was held and helped growing by important People in his life. But his Pillar through rainstorms and cold, freezing winter days never left his side. The young Senju girl. The gentle blonde girl and the black haired stoic boy were polar opposites right from the beginning. Mikoto and Tsunade often met with their beloved children to let them play with each other. Sasuke shared his tomatoes, Mikoto brought with her as a snack and Mimi made him a flower crown. The night after the massacre, Mimi snucked out of the old Senju compound where she lived with Shizune and her mother to reach Sasukes appartment. Without a word, everything was understood, Mimi laid herself behind the relentlessly crying Uchiha. Mimi was the place where he could show his feelings and sentiments, assured that the young Senju was always ready to gently gift stabiltiy and loyalty. Even through Sasukes darkest times, where he left the village, angry and full of hate, Mimi doesn’t disappeared out of his life. She risked being punished as a traitor herself, for meeting with a dangerous threat to the village. Gracing their bond with more importance than the will of fire, her great grandfather proclaimed. She was a frequent guest in the prison where Sasuke spent years for turning his back to the village. People who claimed being Sasukes friends or that he was their love interest stayed away for that time. But Mimi stayed, using the Mokuton to change his prison cell into a meadow with beautiful flowers growing in it, for her allowed visiting hours. Mimi always was and still is sensitive so the snarky remarks of her peers and especially the elders. She swallowed them all, to avoid conflicts, but before she starts to burst, Sasukes imprisonment ended. He gave her an healthy outlet of her feelings, she had swallowed all the years. They met for sparring sessions at night. The beginning was the same every time: Mimi sat between Sasukes legs while his hands worked her hair into a breaded ponytail for the fight. She on the other bandaged his hands. Like a king and a Queen suiting up for a fight. The ending though? Sometimes they screamed at each other, sometimes they laughed and teased each other and then there were the times where both of them were so concentrated, that they were just too focused to speak at all. Tonight started like the other days, as sasuke braided her hair, Mimi suddenly was focused on his hands touching the skin of her back, like they usually do. A little sigh, almost a moan, left her mouth. As she realised what she did, she bit her lips, being all too sure, that Sasuke heard her little slip of an emotion that she never felt or even showed towards him. || @senjumimi
Throughout everything he's endured with might and ignorant bravery, Sasuke's hands still shook. More precisely, his bad arm could never quell this nerve-deep shiver whenever he takes too a task requiring fine-motor skills. It was unnoticeable. Small micro-flexions of the first layer of muscle tensing over his entire hand and up his forearm, but when aggravated under fine-motor stress, his fingers would twitch and spasm.
Luckily, it didn't seem to affect his task, yet. The braid he worked into the Senju's long hair remained clean without a single stray. Every few minutes, he worked with his good arm to comb out the remaining long tresses straight before resuming his work, placing each plait tight with just enough volume to look glamorous rather than dull.
He pauses briefly, catching the sound of something he feels he shouldn't hear and promptly ignoring it.
Tying it off at the end with a forest green hair tie, he runs his hand under the length of it for good measure before allowing it to fall against her back. " It's done, " he says, pushing the handled mirror to her to look over his handiwork.
With her hair done, he reaches back on his belt, looking for the pouch with his bandages. He had bought new ones recently, slightly thicker than the usual brand, specifically for this. Not so much a taijutsu user in recent years in actual missions, so he didn't fret splurging a little extra for their little sparring sessions.
" Whenever you're ready, " he placed both wraps near her thigh, Sasuke, himself, rolling up his sleeves so the length won't interfere with her work.

Is it okay if you make one on how the Akatsuki reacts when their S/O has died and how they move on with their lives without them? I feel like this has been already done but I would like to see this!
Pein: He would be devastated, but as the leader, he doesn’t want to show anyone his weakness, so he would mourn his s/o only when he’s sure he’s alone. Only Konan would know how much it affected him and that’s only because they’ve known each other for so long. While he never truly moves on from it, choosing to distance himself from relationships in general, he is able to function like normal soon after the death, his resolve renewed. Stage of grief: depression
Konan: She would be inconsolable for a few days and doesn’t want anyone around her, even Nagato. In these moments, she wonders what she could’ve done to prevent it from happening again. She can’t believe she decided to pursue another relationship after what happened to Yahiko because now she’s right back where she started. She would eventually learn to live with the sadness, accepting it as part of her and carrying Yahiko and s/o wherever she goes, but she becomes more closed off than she already is. Stage of grief: bargaining
Deidara: He would not react very well. As we saw when reanimated Sasori died, he would be very volatile and loud with his grief, unable to believe that his s/o is gone just like that and he couldn’t do anything about it. He would be able to move on after letting out all his anger and frustration, but it wouldn’t be easy and he would be irritable to everyone who happens to be in his path. Eventually, though, this tragic time in his life would turn into just a sad memory. Stage of grief: denial
Sasori: He is very familiar with death to the point that it doesn’t really affect him as much as it does others. Also, he’s not one to express emotion, so there wouldn’t be a lot of outward indication that he feels anything at all. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t remember his s/o though. In fact, he would probably create a puppet of their likeness, preferably a human puppet, just like his parents. Stage of grief: acceptance
Itachi: He has killed a lot of people that he loved and cared for, and while he harbors great regret for that, it doesn’t stop him from carrying on with his life and executing his plans. It still stings, though, especially knowing he wasn’t there to protect his s/o when they needed him. At least with his clan, he had control over it and could deliver a quick, painless death. The death of his s/o would just be another ghost that joins the others in haunting him. Stage of grief: acceptance
Kisame: He’s been exposed to a lot of death and violence in his life so death doesn’t really faze him. He would be a little closed off and coldly curt in his interactions with others soon after the news, though, and his usual easy smile wouldn’t make an appearance for a few weeks. While he would move on pretty quickly, he would remain forever bitter that another thing that brought him happiness in this harsh world was cruelly taken away from him. Stage of grief: depression
Hidan: Instead of his usual thundering anger, this one would be hot and simmering just beneath the surface, which freaks everyone out because it makes him even more unpredictable. He would immediately go off on his own to hunt down the person who killed his s/o, but he’ll be satisfied after that. As a follower of Jashin, he sees death not as a tragic ending but as a privilege, so, following their death, he would start to include his s/o in all of his prayers to Jashin. Stage of grief: anger
Kakuzu: He would be sad about it for a while, but he would be determined not to let it linger for too long. He’s had a partner before that he lost when his village betrayed him, so the feeling of loss is not new, and he’s lived for far too long to get stuck on someone that he knows he will have inevitably lost to time anyway. Stage of grief: acceptance
Obito: He would be enraged that yet another person that was important to him was taken from him too soon and he couldn’t stop it. The death of his s/o would push him to complete his plans sooner regardless of the devastation it could cause. He wouldn’t be able to truly move on since the death would only add to his fury at the world and he would constantly remind himself of his failure and use it as fuel. Stage of grief: anger
Zetsu: He would be saddened by the sudden absence of his s/o. He got used to their presence and had hoped that he would be able to keep them with him in the new world. If the plan succeeded, he would have asked his creator to bring his s/o back with her limitless powers. Stage of grief: bargaining

Itachi has known you for quite a while now. He knows how you act in certain situations, but he never sees how it affects you emotionally. Especially when work is mostly handed to you without a second thought. "You'll get these done right?" One of your co-workers said and handed you half a stack of papers. "I-" "Also I have this mission that needs to be done, can you get that done for me as well? Thanks Y/n!" They said with a smile before running off leaving you standing there. You inhaled and exhaled to calm yourself down.
"Do you need help with that?" Itachi asked about to take the stack away from you till you turned away from him.
"It's fine. I can handle it on my own, I don't need your help." You said and walked off to your office. Itachi hummed and watched you leave and went on with his afternoon. Some time had passed and you just finished the last paper that needed to be checked with a sigh.
"Heyyy Y/n!" Your co-worker chirped and opened the door with a smile. "Did you finish the papers I gave you?" R/n asked and made their way to your desk. "Mhm. They're right here." You said standing up and handed them to stack of papers. "And the mission?" They asked making you freeze up; you had forgotten about it completely. "No..." "Please do it! It has to be done before morning! Also, after you finish that there's three more missions. So, if it isn't too much trouble can you do that for me too?" R/n asked with puppy dog eyes. You stared at them before nodding your head. "Great! Thank you, Y/n!" They exclaimed and left the room.
You sat back in your chair and rested your face in your hands with a low and long sigh. This is what you get for being such a pushover and not knowing when to say no. You stayed in that position for a couple more minutes before getting up and taking your leave to do as R/n had asked.
When you arrived home, your body would ache just from any small movement. You were tired, sweaty, and drained. You took a cold bath to help with your aching muscles. Just as you were about to lie in your bed there was a knock at your door. You grumbled under your breath and made your way to the door.
Lord and behold stood your co-worker, R/n. "Thanks for finishing those missions for me Y/n! Now what I came here to say was we kind of need you to help make copies of a few things if you don't mind." They said with an awkward smile.
You stared at them in disbelief. You literally just finished doing so much for them and they continue to ask you for more, there's only so much you could take and this might be your last straw. "Okay." You mumbled and slammed the door before R/n could say anything else.
Walking away from the door and to your bedroom, your vision began to blur up a bit till you felt that natural stinging sensation. You were crying. It wasn't sad or happy tears; it was just frustration and stress. You've reached your limit completely.
You sat down on the floor and gripped your hair. You didn't want to deal with yourself crying at the moment, it was too much to deal with at the moment. But no matter how much you wanted the tears to stop they continued coming down like rain. Surprisingly you hadn't heard your house door opening and someone walking in. "Y/n?" Someone questioned making you look up to see who it was, it was Itachi. His eyes widened when he saw you cry, he's never seen you cry since he's met you. "What happened? Why are you crying?" He asked and crouched done and was about to brush a tear away till you slapped his hand away. "I'm fine, just leave me alone...please?" You sniffled. "Is it about work?" Itachi asked.
You opened your mouth a little to say something but closed it back and nodded. Itachi sat down on his knees and brought your head close to his chest to try and sooth you a bit.
You were stunned by the sudden action, but you didn't struggle. "I'll tell them to ease up on putting too much work on you, alright?" "Alright."

So About Sakura...
I was was watching Naruto Shippuden for the 193637290 time, and notice somethings on Sakura. We all know Kishimoto does not write female characters well, and knows how to ruins a pretty good character. That was analised by many professionals, all though thing are much better on Boruto Series.
Tumblr media
But let's go back to the focus on Sakura. Mostly her Family.
During the movie, that I don't know if it's events are cannon os OVA, Infinity Tsukuyomi Dream, after the fight with the Akatsuki every parent is being kind to their kid. Recomendation's letters are mentioned by Ino's parent and everything.
Them we cut to Sakura. Look at her expression, she knows everyone is watching them... She knows what they are doing.
Tumblr media
Sakura's mother enjoys hurting her own daughter feelings, here was some sings of it since the classic, those who have a narcissist mom will understand. Part of her problems with her mom is probably due to the fact that she keeps her head up no matter what she says.
Tumblr media
Later you she that her mom is still on the same page, in front of the other she was "acting funny" so Sakura looks like she is "overreacting" but her face at the acene Sakura is leaving you notice she has more agressive face details.
So now this part...
Tumblr media
Naruto was in a bad place on that moment, all those families together made him fell more lonely. Sakura complaning about her family to him sounded selfish even cruel.
Them she says: "If Sasuke was here he would understand me"
The point is that, they actually made research on Sasuke's life to try to find him. She know Sasuke's father was strict, that he had a favorite son, Itachi (a pressious man that should have been protected at all costs), so that is why she thinks/hope he would understand her.
Tumblr media
Because, even though Sasuke's father asked to keep him safe, he never showed proud like he did for Itachi. Sakura is an only child, that has parents that never showed proud on her at all.
Ino even laughs at how Sakura's mother is making her fell, what a great friend...
Now back to the the coments "at least she has a mother" type, some people are shitty parents and leave emotional scars on their kids, our generation should and NEEDS to be more aware of that. Sakura became a kunoichi on her on, no family guide. Her mother never expected her daughter to be bigger them her as a ninja that is why she became more rude. On her childhood memories her parents are kind of superficial but normal parents, on the classic her mother is "just a little bit to strict", on Shippuden her mother is on role another level.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was sort off proud with her gennin daughter, until Sakura was more them she was. She poses to a perfect picture with her Chunnin daughter, only to embarass her in front of everyone in a way that would look like, "Sakura can't take a joke". But notice, Sakura is the only one not smiling in the picture but the picture of her alone there was a big smile.
Sakura dosen't have a secret rough background, she has a secret rough present, one that no one would believe it's true even when she tells to one of her best friends.
Tumblr media
At "Boruto Series" you see Sakura and Sasuke being proud of every single thing Sarada accomplishes, because they broke a cycle of constant criticism.
Thanks for coming to my TEDTalks.

1 - 19. all the numbers >:^)
most overrated character?
Doing this again because there are so many of those : Shikamaru and Hinata. Before someone kills me I do like Hinata, I just hate her fans. Like in what way did she surpass Neji when she can't be arsed to run without falling. Bffr Neji's the strongest Hyuuga. And Shikamaru isn't smart when his entire victory hinges on dumbing down and nerfing both Hidan and Kakuzu.
2. was sasuke right?
Answered
3. were naruto's intentions with sasuke selfish?
Answered
4. are the romantic undertones between naruto and sasuke intentional or accidental?
Accidental. Kishimoto's misogyny made him fly too close to the sun of yaoi.
5. can kishi write romance?
When he wants to? Yes. It's not the wildest romance, but he showed he can write a decent one with Tsunade and Dan (and arguable Minato and Kushina although I hate that couple for other reasons). Even ShikaTema aren't too bad. He's just clearly not interested in writing romance
6. what makes the Naruto ending bad?
Everything leading up to it. The way the antagonists (especially Madara) were treated both by the narrative and characters, the way Kaguya came out of nowhere, the way Naruto and Sasuke kept getting unearned power ups. Hell on earth. Then all this culminates into a VOTE2 fight I never wanted to see with a Sasuke who's blabbering nonsense, and then suddenly, skyscrapers and ugly ass kids of ships that got little to no development. None of the questions brought up by the story got resolved
7. should Naruto have become hokage ?
Answered
8. show a screenshot of your latest draft with no context
Tumblr media
9. which Naruto fandom words are you allergic to?
"deserve" (always used in ship wars), "who has the saddest backstory", "babygirl", "yandere", "actually kishi didn't intend-" (amazing under theory posts /s) and such
10. is sakura a shitty character or shitty-ly written?
Shittily written. That girl did not catch a break from the moment she got introduced, and she's not the only one, pretty much every female character is shittily written. They're just one of two misogynistic stereotypes, with no fulfilling arc, no space to throw hands like the male characters etc etc. Yeah yeah Tsunade isn't too bad but she still suffers from misogynistic writing
11. is Itachi a martyr, a victim, or a perpetrator?
Perpetrator. There could've been an argument for him being a victim, but adult Itachi does say he regrets nothing so clearly he's fine with the massacre and would've made the same decision as an adult aka he's nothing but a shameless genocidal murderer. I'm not very interested in waxing poetry about how hard it was for him to kill his own parents when he had like, so many choices to make, and I think such discussions are stupid when Sasuke (and the Uchiha clan) are the biggest victims of both Itachi and Konoha and yet don't get a fraction of the sympathy that Itachi gets
12. who should've died in war arc?
Gai first of all. Why the hell did he survive 8 gates? What was the point? It cheapened his sacrifice, and made it obvious that the stakes, no matter how high, are never that serious. Frankly I didn't even want him to be the one to open the 8 gates, it should've been Lee's moment (and yes, death) but well. At least one of the Gokage (preferably Onoki and/or Gaara) should've also died. And Hinata or Hiashi should've died to protect Neji, it would've been THE perfect symbolic end to the Hyuuga issue. Oh Shikamaru should've also died, he was useless and it would've made more impact. Probs another death in Konoha 12 would be great (like Kiba maybe?) but Lee's and Shikamaru's deaths (with potentially Hinata also dying) would've been great for tension and emotional impact. Oh also neither Obito nor Madara should've died
13. was kakashi trying his best? / was he a "good" sensei?
He was a good sensei bc he made good child soldiers. He was also a good sensei bc he did try his best to keep them safe. I don't know why people argue he's the worst. Gai, Asuma, and Jiraiya are fucked up, and Kurenai got 0 screentime teaching. Kakashi also trained Sakura, and recommended her to Tsunade. The idea that he completly neglected her is fanon
14. openings or endings?
Openings, most of them are so iconic
15. Is naruto white coded for having blonde hair blue eyes?
No??? his name is literally Uzumaki Naruto, and he has monolids. He's Japanese.
16. Is tobirama racist against uchihas?
Tobirama is Japanese. The Uchiha are Japanese. No he was not racist, and he didn't do half the shit people claim he did (he didn't disrespect Madara's body or Uchiha's funeral practices, he didn't segregate them, he didn't force them to be in the Police Force, he didn't focus solely on the Uchiha and no other threats, he didn't call them slurs (cant believe i even need to say that), he didnt hunt them specifically, he didn't kill Izuna for shits and giggles, he didnt seek out Kagami to use him as the "black friend", he didnt spread rumors, he didnt spy on them, he didnt blame them for Madara's actions etc etc etc. He was prejudiced, as was Madara (who even went as far as to cut Tsunade in half just bc she's Senju. That's way more violent than Tobirama calling Sasuke an evil brat). I think it's perfectly understable why he was so cautious about them, and I wish he was given half the understanding the Uchiha get for their own backstories and actions, considering he too was a traumatized child soldiers who watched his siblings die and was abused by his father. He's a product of his times, and even he acknowledges that. That's why he has faith in the younger generations, and why he died for them twice.
17. Is Sakura useless?
Not at all. Naruto would've died in the Waves arc without her, and that's just the first arc. People just hate female characters, and belittle healers.
18. ship wars or power scaling debates?
I prefer ship wars bc I'm not rlly a shipper so I don't get annoyed and can make fun of people who get mad at me for my opinions. Power scaling tho....I'm a great power scalers and when ppl just make shit up (like saying Hinata is stronger than Neji or Itachi than Obito) I get pissed.
19. pettiest fandom opinion you've blocked someone for?
not an opinion but i've blocked people for misspelling kakuzu's name

Okay so I've had this soulmark au thingy stuck in my head since my mind, running through multiple ideas at once like usual, accidentally crossed wires on "Shisui" and "soulmates"
Fair warning this is a bit long so uh,, sorry lmao
So! Au where the most of the shinobi population and a portion of the civilian population started developing what they called soulmarks because the higher entities got really tired of everyone killing everyone like idiots-
these soulmarks seem to form on your skin (Haven't decided what they look like) after you meet someone you can truly trust to have your back. Since soulmarks are about trust, loyalty, etc they have nothing to do with any romantic feelings (though they're probably romanticized in media). It is very common to have multiple soulmarks, and they aren't limited to just humans! Those with summons/animal companions they work with almost always get soulmarks to represent their animal partner(s) due to their extreme loyalty.
Soulmarks don't tend to form immediately after meeting but over time- though some get suspicious after a year markless. Sometimes people don't fit together as well as they think, sometimes they change and get along after time, sometimes one of them just can't bring themself to trust the other yet, etc. There's many reasons and cases of those who you think you should have a mark for not forming- while a clear reason is unknown, it quickly became a death/betrayal omen in the more superstitious shinobi communities.
Some extra info- Academy kids soulmarks with their classmates are often taken into consideration for team formations. If the person who's soulmark is in danger, it feels like pins and needles under your skin. If they feel extreme emotions, it either heats up or goes cold. Death causes soulmarks to darken and fade, but soulmarks only truly disappear when you can no longer trust them at all- often followed by betrayal. Soulmarks can be onesided- though more often in the case of one of them being very young (ex: siblings).
Now with all of that, some ideas-
• Kakashi's first soulmarks were his ninken
• Tenzo's first soulmark was Kakashi, i think it kind of freaked him out
• Shisui and Itachi formed soulmarks for each other as soon as they met, despite Itachi being so very young
• Shisui has soulmarks with his Yamanaka family despite refusing to realize he was practically adopted
• Shisui has soulmarks for his summons, which is a very big matter of pride for them
• Kakashi never formed soulmarks with his childhood team
• Gai has shed tears of joy, multiple times, for every soulmark he has
• Shisui and Kisame formed soulmarks for each other
• Kisame got a soulmark for Samehada and Shisui lost his mind when he found out because wtf
• at least one member of Squad Two has unknowingly formed a onesided soulmark with Naruto
• Genma has a habit of checking his soulmarks multiple times a day
• Raidou is fascinated by soulmarks and wants to study them
• Kagami never had a soulmark for Danzo, Sarutobi did and refuses to acknowledge what it means now it's gone
And now the one idea that started it all ✨
• Squad Two not having a soulmark for Shisui, possibly onesided where Shisui has theirs, until right before Danzo betrays him :)
Two main ways you could take this- Shisui somehow surviving the first attempt bc everyone who has his soulmark is pretty much alerted to that he's in danger
Or in hope au style, Shisui doesn't survive and wakes up in the past only for the others to get his soulmark and getting almost phantom sensations bc he's reacting to a danger that technically hasn't happened- maybe even his mark being unnaturally darker than it should be..
Also I'd just love to see how the others would react to having a soulmark from Shisui during his long mission bc it seems like it just kept getting worse for him LMAO
Do with this what you will, i just needed to write it down and get it out of my head so it would stop haunting me
Anyways I hope you're having a great day <3
Wowza!!! ✨✨✨
This is just a magnificent ask, I'm so impressed with the thought you've put into this AU! The delicious delicious platonic found family angst!!!!
What if 🥹 shisui had the squads soul marks the whole time 🥹 but they were between his shoulders (like wings) so he never saw them 🥹 and the burn just blended in with the pain of training, the buzzing chakra of Shunshin, the shame of sharingan eyes always watching him and finding him lacking 🥹 can you fucking imagine them begging to know why shisui didn't trust them with his problems and he breaks down and says they can't accuse him of that shit when he knows he gave them marks but they never gave him any back 😭 the angst, the gut wrenching whump.... This is such a good AU, anon!!!
SHISUI AND KISAME FORMING SOULMARKS AFTER LITERALLY A WEEK WORKING TOGETHER IM SO EMOTIONAL FOR THEM LMAO I CANT DECIDE IF IT'S BETTER THAT THEY DONT REALISE UNTIL AFTER THEY'VE SPLIT WAYS AND HAVE SEPERATE "OH SHIT" REACTIONS AND THEN SHUFFLE AROUND IT FOR AGES OR THEY GET THEM AS SOON AS THEY STAND UNITED AGAINST THE WORLD AND THEY SIMULTANEOUSLY FEEL THE SEAR OF THE MARK AND-!!! OOOOOH BOYYYYYY
Ino was born with Shisui's soulmark on her besides her parents'🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️‍🔥
This is so beautiful and interesting, anon, thanks for sharing with us!!!! Have a great day, this was a lovely way to wrap up the week 🥰

The true reason why Itachi was right/justified - The best answer
https://youtu.be/9vxHV5mg6JM - This is a video I also made on the subject that breaks it down even further and explains my points much more easily and I'd appreciate it if you watched and gave me some feed back on not only my argument but video production as well
BUT for the reddit short version. A few days ago I made a post that seemed to take off in the sub about Itachi and it didn't have anything to do with whether he was right or wrong in his decision in massacring his clan but unsurprisingly that's what it led to and the opinions like always are very mixed but people have extremely poor arguments on both sides and more often than not let their own world view and emotions come into their decision making when it should in fact be viewed from the not only the world the Naruto universe is, mainly Konoha, but also their world as a whole, also who Itachi and why he holds the views he does and ultimately why he did what he did that night.
There's this misconception that Itachi is stupid or that he made the wrong choice because he's blood related to his clan, that the clan is his family and no matter what the result is that he should stand with them and fight against Konoha and even worse there are people who believe that the Uchiha clan can even win that battle in the first place. First and foremost, even if Uchiha had a chance to rebel they would get completely annihilated by the rest of Konoha shinobi, there's just too much riding against them but that's not to say that Konoha wouldn't have taken any major damage to Konoha and their forces; facing the Uchiha clan would definitely be an hard battle but in the end they are one clan vs many other clans such as Hyuga, Aburame, Akimichi, Nara, etc and other notable shinobi from Konoha such as Kakashi, a Younger Hiruzen, Danzo, Guy, Asuma, Kurenai, etc; they're not winning that battle and it's foolish to think otherwise.
That's not the main point but that plays into the next point. It's not about winning the battle against Konoha for Itachi, It's about the damage and domino effect it would cause. As said in the story a civil war of that magnitude breaking out in the leaf would surely cause severe damage and a great amount of casualties to not only the leaf but non shinobi as well. That damage would be a cause for concern because other nations would take advantage of the instability within the Konoha and attack, potentially destroying Konoha entirely and that's a high possibility especially when you look at relations of other villages with Konoha, especially the Cloud Village who are almost rivaling Konoha in power and to add on to that Konoha and Cloud didn't have the best relations during the time frame pre-4th great shinobi war; considering they tried to kidnap Kushina and Hinata. During the Kidnapping of Hinata, her father actually killed the Cloud ninja which resulted in his brother sacrificing himself, so to say their relations weren't great would be an understatement.
Itachi also adopted the will of fire and being a part of the anbu held it to a deeper extent but he also craved for peace among all else in his village because of the 3rd great shinobi war he was exposed to at the age of 4. He never wanted to experience anything like that again, especially within his village, that could lead to an even greater conflict and war. Itachi loved his family but he also loved his village, the village is also Itachi's family, remembering Hiruzen said Itachi thought like a Hokage at the age of 7 and that's the Hokage's mentality. The Hokage also possess the will of fire being the leader of their village it's unsurprising.
What is the will of fire? The Will of Fire is the notion that one must sacrifice and endure, that's what it means to be a shinobi, and sacrifice no matter what it is, if it leads to the greater good of the village then it was worth. That is the Will of Fire . As Hashirama said after killing Madara he's willing to kill his friend, family and even his own child if it's for the greater good of the village. This is literally Itachi's mindset. He loves his family dearly and he also loves his village but he knows that the village is more than his family. The village is his family as well and a larger portion at that. The Hokage looks at the entire village as their family, there are several references to Itachi being Hokage like, by Hiruzen, Danzo, Hashirama, and Sasuke. Remember what Minato said (also an Hokage) "To forsake one's country and one's village is the same as forsaking one's child", He says this to a dying Kushina about Naruto after sacrificing his son's upbringing for what? THE VILLAGE.
It's because of Itachi's experiences that he is this way and being in the anbu made him adopt it the Will of Fire to a further extent, as we know the anbu pretty much radicalize the Will of Fire to the most extreme level and are willing to do ANYTHING for the village, especially the anbu that take orders from who? You guessed it. DANZO. Who gave Itachi that choice? DANZO. Danzo knew Itachi's heart, while he spoke to Itachi in a manipulative tone, everything Danzo said was in fact true. and his actions are justified because there's are the actions a shinobi is supposed to take. Starting from the very first Hokage. This is why he is praised by Hashirama for being a better shinobi than him. This is how the Naruto world is and how it this question should be looked at.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
youtube
I got even more in depth in my video and actually touch on the themes of morality and ethics and this is all from the view of the Naruto universe and not our own. I feel like it's the best explanation of Itachi because there's no personal biases and just straight facts, but as always when it comes to such a topic, I know answers vary but Im ready and willing to argue any point.

I'm still frustrated with Sarada's MS awakening, like this has to be the dumbest awakening ever. I get that she is feeling strong emotions, but it just devalue everything that's shown about MS awakening. Just look at the previous Uchiha like Sasuke, Madara, Obito, Itachi, like they were done great, like they've got so much struggle and pain to go through. And comparing these to now with Sarada, it really feels like cop out for me. No wonder why she's becoming uninteresting..
Yes it is an insult to all other Uchiha and completely kills the hype MS established from the previous series it devalues everything every other Uchiha went through to get it.
What makes it even worse is that post time skip Sasuke gets sealed in a tree so there was opportunity to work in her getting from feeling guilty that it was her request that caused it.
Honestly Sarada should never have gotten the MS its a cop out like you said and she is doomed to go blind unless they do some asspull and further tarnish what it means getting those eyes.
What makes it worse is despite having its basically a side prop she doesn't use it not even to defend herself and ends up making another ninja sacrifice themselves to protect her.
There is no plot development that warrants her getting those eyes nor character development that comes from the price for the eyes like with all other Uchiha.

sasusaku is not toxic
firstly, sakura tried to kill him first. sasuke acted out of self-defense. but most ppl completely misunderstood that scene and arc anyway.
in fact, ppl just don’t understand sasuke and sakura’s relationship or their individual characters. I just wanna point out the hypocrisy of the commonly used statement, “sasusaku is toxic”
naruto is a story about change and forgiveness.
need i remind you all that a great majority of characters in the naruto universe are mass murderers.
need i remind you that practically all these characters were redeemed after listening to naruto's words. these characters have killed more ppl than sasuke.
all these characters have bonds and relationships with other characters that none of you seem to have a problem with.
even for sasuke. if sasuke's romantic relationship with sakura is toxic, then his brotherly relationship with naruto and his student-teacher relationship with kakashi is also toxic.
examples:
note: i am not hating on these characters, in fact, i love them.
gaara. has killed way more ppl than sasuke. is a character that is loved by this fandom (as he should be). has a friendship with naruto that is loved. he has tried to kill him. all of these relationships would be considered toxic in rl terms.
itachi. is a mass murderer. has completely traumatized sasuke. is the reason why sasuke went on a dark path. is loved by fans. is constantly called the “best brother” his relationship with sasuke would also be considered toxic in rl terms. don’t dare deny that.
of course, there are many more examples.
see, ppl hate sasuke and sakura's romantic relationship by comparing them to real-life standards. however, i don’t see anyone compare any other relationship in naruto to our rl standards. it’s completely unfair and ridiculous.
it seems to me that the only problem y’all have is when someone who has redeemed themselves forms a romantic relationship. tell me, is there much difference in a friendly, familiar, student-teacher, relationship than a romantic one?
is your only problem the fact that sasuke and sakura are canon?
to you guys, anything is acceptable unless it concerns sakura or sasusaku.
stop using “sasusaku is toxic” as an excuse. just say you hate either sakura or sasuke and leave.
You seem to have misunderstood. We hate Sasuke and Sakura's "relationship" because they have nothing in common, they never have a meaninful conversation, Sakura is disgusting towards Sasuke, demeans what means the most to him, harasses him despite him rejecting her romantically multiple times, and because Sakura treats Sasuke like an object. And because Sakura is ready throw even the last bit of her dignity away just to get a crumb from Sasuke. Hope this helps!
Sasuke needs no forgiveness because it's Sakura who did wrong towards him by never caring about what he said and only talking about herself. And Sakura was never apologetical so she can't be forgiven.
You people lack reading comprehension, emotional intelligence and maturity, kinda like Sakura. You focus on proving how them attacking each other can be forgiven, and completely ignore the fact Sakura has never cared about Sasuke as a person other than him being hot and cool. You sound like 13 year old and I hope you are because if you're an adult, oh how I pity you.

[Itachi Uchiha X Reader] First Snow Season 2 {Part 4}
Part 3 | Part 5
Pairing: Itachi Uchiha x fem!Reader
Note: Yooo, hello hello!! I'm back and on the run. Sorry for being on hiatus for literally more than one month, had exams and a bunch of events. But now that it's summer, stay tuned <3
~~/ /The room got quiet, and your body stiffened. He then continued, “We let her out on parol and chose the North to ultimately get to the root of the problem. And we need your help, Y/N.”/ /~~
Tumblr media
You tossed around on your futon, unable to fall back to sleep. It has been two nights, since Itachi and you had that conversation about the Clan’s intention to trail Izumi’s contact to some people residing in the North—your land. Thinking about the potential danger lying around, ready to ambush your people sent chills up your body. You agreed to join forces with him, defensively, and now have put yourself into a very critical position. Yes, Itachi—the Clan—wanted you to befriend Izumi.
“In your dreams,” you muttered. The problem was not with you, but Izumi, who desperately believed that her man—stand corrected, Itachi was not her man whatsoever, according to his party—had a fling with you while you would give up all your possessions to prove otherwise. You sighed heavily and dug your face into the comforter, troubled at the thought of the very same woman staying in the room adjacent to yours. Right, two days after you were asked to reconcile with Izumi, she had officially moved in. Great progress.
You loomed over your office desk stacked with countless papers, fingers tapping impatiently on the wooden surface. Your Secretary was supposed to be present by this time, as he has always been a punctual and workaholic individual, but there was no sign of him. Ears perked at the rapid knocking on your door, you called them in, expecting a string of apologies from the young man for his late arrival, but greeting your anticipation was Itachi with a set of bento in one hand, the other holding several scrolls that had you mentally wincing at first sight. “Your Secretary is here, by the way, told him to give us a few minutes.”
“What’s this?” You pointed to the bento box and raised a brow, probably on decent terms with him after having that talk. How to say it—partnership.
“It’s a bento box,” he replied, neither warm nor cold.
“I know,” you nagged, “what is this thing doing here?”
“You haven’t had breakfast.”
“So?” You watched as he lifted opened the cover, revealing an entire collection of your favorite foods. Unconsciously, you swallowed and blinked your eyes. Hunger never made its way to your mind until you saw food.
“What?” He questioned, “You don’t want to eat, then?”
“No one has bento for breakfast,” you mumbled under your breath but proceeded to dig your chopsticks in, nevertheless. No one except Itachi would. After a few moments of relishing the mesmerizing taste on your tongue, you bemused, “I can’t recall any reasons for you to be so nice to me, Itachi…san.”
“And I can’t recall any reasons for me not to be nice to you either.”
“If you need help with anything then spit it out, don’t have to take the long way.”
“I’m here because I’m genuinely concerned with your health when you keep skipping breakfast.”
“What does my health have to do with you?” You crossed your arms, having to have stopped eating completely. A dumb thought crossed your mind, one that you immediately dismissed, also the one that kept you awake all night yesterday. Couldn’t it be that—
“I don’t want you to fall sick when we still haven’t taken care of the Clan’s safety,” his face grimed. “You’re no longer living for yourself, Y/N. Others’ lives are in your hands.”
“I…see.” You picked up your chopsticks. So it was not because he still harbored a tiny bit of emotions for you. For someone like Itachi, you should have known better. You knew, even though it was hard to admit that the man before your eyes was no longer the one he used to be—the one you made out to be. Maybe the last few days disoriented your thoughts. The way his fingers lingered a tad bit longer than they should have when he cupped your face, the way his lips curved into a slight smile when your eyes met, the way he cared a little too much that cut you a little too deep. “I will take care of myself, thank you. I will have my Secretary pay you back for the bento.”
The room turned quiet. You took a breath and bit the inner of your cheek. The food you were enjoying earlier became sour in your mouth, bitter almost. “If you have nothing else then—”
“You don’t need to pay me back. I’ll get going,” he waved his hand dismissively, “see you around.”
Itachi shut his eyes as soon as the door to your office closed behind his back. All he needed was just a last push to say what he wanted to say. But it never happened. There were many things he wanted to tell you, not just nagging at you for not eating breakfast. His lips prompted and his words were on the verge of slipping when you questioned why he cared. Itachi did not know either, he just happened to wake up this morning, making some food for himself and ending up with an extra serving. Maybe it had become his habit after you moved in with him, to make some for you, who would never bother going into the kitchen in the morning practically late for work. It was autonomy for him—why he cared. And it would be foreign now that he would have to suppress something that he had grown used to doing. Caring was like a habit, an aggravating one that he needed to replace. It never occurred to him that letting go would be this hard, harder when you were still there, right in front of his eyes, but all he could hold onto were memories.
When you finished your bento box, your Secretary timely made his way into your office, holding a glass of water with some pills. “Y/N-san, this is for you. It’s getting colder this week so make sure you’re paying attention to your health.”
You ogled at him jokingly, “When have you become so compassionate?”
“My brother sent me extras so I thought I should give you some,” he rubbed his nose, embarrassed. “Besides, you probably need it more than I do, you have been overworking yourself these days.”
“Alright, thanks,” you smiled, “help me thank your brother, too.”
Itachi waited patiently at your Secretary’s desk and his eyes lit up at the sight of him. “How did it go?”
“Y/N-san doesn’t know, I told her I got them from my brother.” He grinned, “Those pills are very hard to get, I don’t understand why you won’t give it to her by yourself if you care about Y/N-san so much.”
“I’m not in the right position to do so,” Itachi vaguely answered. “Make sure she takes two per day, both after a meal.”
If he could no longer be by your side, then be it. But he would not stop caring for you. For all he had done, and for all he hasn’t done.

Sasuke true fans, read this please and tell me when I’m wrong
Nobody deserves Sasuke, no indeed. First of all, certainly not Sakura Haruno. Sakura never understood who Sasuke was, how he felt or what his goals were. In fact, she doesn't care at all. She always perceived him as the dude she fell in love with because you know he's Sasuke the cool guy in school, even years later. She doesn't deserve him because she always fought to get him back, to get him and get his favor, so that he could realize that she helped save him. How could she claim to save him from his torment when she never understood why he was so tormented. Of course she is aware of the genocide of the Uchiha clan and that Itachi was responsible for it but she just tells herself that he should never have let himself be consumed by revenge and hatred when she never had a say in the beginning. She finally got what she wanted out of him because she forced a victim of emotional abuse to marry her and giving him a child. Someone with such psychological distress that the dude doesn't even know who he is or why he did all this anymore. His brain pauses to save what's left of his mental state, he's unresponsive to anything, he's totally on autopilot. "I will say whatever my friends and Sakura want to hear if it makes them happy, I have to fix my mistakes." But what mistakes are you talking about Sasuke Uchiha? You haven't done anything wrong. You can't have anything to apologize for when you were the victim in the first place. If Sasuke's travels had been concrete with his state of mind, it's certainly not a redemption arc I would have liked to get but a mental health recovery arc. Secondly, Naruto Uzumaki. No Naruto does not deserve Sasuke and does not deserve his friendship and interest. When I hear that Naruto and Sasuke make so much sense together whether it be friendly or romantic, I say no. I sincerely think that Sasuke gave Naruto enough chances to be a real friend but Naruto never took that chance. Chasing him back to a village that ordered his brother to slaughter their whole family was never a good idea, but I could have left that out during Shippuden, if Naruto had used his brain after the 4th great war, but he didn't. So you bring back the victim of a nation that wasted his life to the very place where all the ghosts of his past are still present. Sasuke was not yet healed, Naruto gave the final blow to Sasuke's mental health. Why did Sasuke want to leave Konoha in your opinion Naruto Uzumaki? Yes because the village still sees him as the deserter and nobody in this damn village is able to reason and try to understand his gesture but also where do you want Sasuke to go in Konoha? The Uchiha district having been totally dismantled and razed, there remains only a small piece of rope to delimit the former territorial zone that had been granted to them and it is not really reasonable to let someone with such a trauma as Sasuke return to the scene of the crime that made his life collapse. . it's like if you bring a kidnapping victim back to the dark and wet basement where they remained locked up for a long time and let them fight their trauma by themselves, you would find it stupid and inhuman, well in Sasuke's case it's the same.
Then I was expecting an arc of reparation and justice for the real victims like Neji Huyga and Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto as the newly nominated hokage, but no, still nothing. Neji still hasn't got justice and neither has Sasuke while all this time Naruto was strutting around with Sasuke whispering in his ears: "don't worry, you will always be my friend…" What friendship are you talking about Naruto? The one where you don't even give your friend the right to officially break away from Konoha? To let him heal his wounds in another way? To let him live his life as he wants? So yes, you saved him from the death penalty but condemned him to a life of slavery as a watchdog of a state that never loved him and was never there for him simply because you, you are far too good to forgive all the people who hurt you, so even Sasuke should do the same. You do not love Sasuke.
So you offer the means to make up for his so-called mistakes by working in your shadow on behalf of Konoha and doing the dirty work for you while you sign piles of papers for hours on end in your sinister office in which hangs pictures of horrible people who have done nothing interesting with their position as hokage but stir up the hatred that eventually caused the genocide of your best friend's clan. You are just proud to finally be in the place that you have so desired to get all these years because of your lack of validation from others and your parents who died in fighting too soon and from whom you suffered a good part of your youth and from whom you are retracing the same path for your son who hates you because you are not there to raise him and his little sister.
So you get Sasuke to be your watchdog, and you continue to treat your so-called best friend, your soul mate as a common pet who should be happy with his lot. You put your friend Shikamaru as your main advisor but let Sasuke put his hands in the shit for you again.
Sasuke lost the hope to smile again, you don't allow him any decision and not even on his own life, and for all this, I deeply resent you.
Thirdly, Kakashi Hatake, for our friend Kakashi, Sasuke was his favorite student but as his friend Hiruzen Sarutobi once said to him, "We are always disappointed in our favorite student when they turn against us one day." Yes Orochimaru turned against you when you never understood him and called him weird and kicked him out of Konoha for his extravagant research while it doesn't seem to me that Tobirama Senju was then banished after inventing the edo-tensei jutsu which is literally fucking necromancy, a jutsu so horrible to practice that it requires in the first place a human sacrifice in order to bring back the soul of a dead person in the world of the living, deprived of its own will and its free will. .. Kakashi once thought he was close to Sasuke because he too had gone through the loss of people close to him, but need I remind you how Kakashi Hatake got over his depression? By stifling his emotions continuously and by murdering multiple shinobi. So he explicitly asked his favorite student who was in such an emotional distress that he was on the verge of internal implosion, to shut the fuck up and continue to live his life as a ninja and that losing people is part of life… he really dared to mean that to a 12 year old. I personally blame Kakashi but I try to make up for my pain by meaning that Kakashi himself being traumatized to the core has also lost all his cognitive faculties in terms of emotion and compassion. He turned himself off and also put himself in auto-pilot.
Fourth, Itachi Uchiha and Fugaku Uchiha. Besides his mother Mikoto, Sasuke only had eyes for his older brother and their father who they thought were just great. It's true, both of them were great and strong shinobi who far exceeded the abilities of the other clan members with a few exceptions. However, Fugaku in the first place should never have exposed Sasuke to a constant competition with his older brother. Fugaku in his great wisdom and experience should never have pitted his younger son against his brother to outgrow him, as he your sons are different, with different personalities and possibly different ambitions and mentally abusing them to force them to suit you is really twisted. To have tried to make Itachi the ultimate ninja that he never had the stature to be even while being the leader of the Uchiha clan and then to have your youngest son do everything to not end up like Itachi who then proved to be your biggest disappointment but in any case, outgrow him. In the sense that he had two chances to succeed, if one of them failed, the other one would inevitably succeed. And in another sense, where Hinata wouldn't go over Naruto's decisions as a good submissive wife, Mikoto never did anything to end it all and allow her older son to destroy himself. What kind of example was Sasuke supposed to draw from that? To be a good dog who is given orders and must obey without restriction? Yeah, Fugaku's twisted advices to Itachi caused Itachi's reaction to be stuck between his clan and his will to be a good ninja of Konoha? In the end, many blame Itachi for the massacre of the Uchiha clan, but when you receive so much pressure from one side or the other you end up inexorably imposing from the inside, and you end up making bad decisions and bullshit. When your daddy, instead of preserving you, shows you what a war looks like at the age of 4, how do you think you will end up? I sincerely regret that Itachi didn't succeed in his suicide, he would have been free of all that because yes he is as traumatized as his little brother, this trauma has disrupted everything in his brain, so much so that he finds it normal to traumatize his little brother in order to harden him, as if being a good ninja had to get over the trauma and the destruction of the mind and that he got from dad BUT even if he was considered as a genius, he never thought with his fucking brain. Like dude, WHY ARE YOU SUCH A FREAKING BOOTLICKER OF A GOUVERNMENT THAT ASKED YOU TO KILL YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING OWN FAMILY? Hello wake up! Fuck you.
Finally, Sasuke never had a real good example either in his education or in other areas. How can you blame a boy for being so called cold and insensitive when he never had a good example of affection except living in trauma, servitude of others and dishonor.
Sasuke didn't have Jiraya to replace the father figure that was so lacking in him. Sasuke didn't have the S/O who understood and admired him at last, not for his looks, nor for his famous family name but for who he really is. No, he has always been lonely, enslaved, and misunderstood.
Fortunately some of us in this rotten fandom really love Sasuke and give him all the love he deserves.
I love you Sasuke Uchiha. You'll always be my king.
PS: Please excuse my multiple grammatical errors, I wrote this very quickly and English is not my first language.

so your random crackship mention of Pakkun/Tora reminded me that i dont know if ive told you about this AU yet and im gonna in case i have not!
basically, i took Tora's moniker of 'Demon Cat' and said 'wait, Matatabi!' so Tora is Matatabi's daughter from pretty soon before the whole 'bleehhhh, put all the Bijuu into humans!' thing went down, so she doesnt know much about the other Bijuu (never met them) and thus when she finds Naruto, she just knows Feels Like Mama, and goes ADOPTION.
Naruto is a complete and utter Feral Little Shit who can shapeshift into a FoxCat (which he picked up by watching Kakashi shapeshift to/from his Wolf form), use the Great Fireball (bc Matatabi and Indra came up with it together and thus Tora knows it), and becomes a therapy animal to The Fucked-Up People that are ANBU and others he can sense (bc he Feral and ended up with Kurama's emotion sensing).
this includes people like Kakashi, who is actually doing okay by the time Canon starts. Itachi, who, as a result of having someone to talk to (even though he doesnt know that the FoxCat can talk back), goes about shenanigans differntly, tells Sasuke everything using Tsukuyomi, and gets Mikoto outta there too. (they are oth in the Akatsuki as spies and to get Dickzo to Leave Sasuke Alone.) Obito, who is of course stalking Kakashi, did NOT participate in the Massacre willingly, and whom Sasuke and Naruto use to get Shisui out of Dickzo's labs (Shisui is also a part of the Akatsuki then, undercover.) and many others. the Yamanakas are quite pleased that people are becoming more stable.
also Naruto taught Sasuke how to shift (CrowCat) and also teaches Sakura (who is getting her rightful Feralness) (FerreCat shift) how to.
Kurama, meanwhile, is too absolutely bewildered by this mass chaos to be anything more than passingly rude to Naruto (also he did not know that Tora was A Thing, and is like Hey Matatabi The Fuck).
also Naruto rips Mizuki's throat out.
okay I absolutely need this in my life
