Regulus had had to keep his distance from Barty, Evan and Dorcas all morning as they would not stop asking him questions, even after he’d lobbed a basket of Chinese Chomping Cabbages at them in Herbology. Thankfully, Professor Sprout hadn’t seen him do it and assumed the basket had accidentally been knocked over. 

He’d dashed into the Great Hall to get lunch and headed up to the third floor to eat in peace behind a statue of Gunhilda of Gorsemoor, or, as she was more commonly known, as the one-eyed witch. Which, in Regulus’s opinion, was a rude way to describe the witch who discovered the cure for Dragon Pox, but there you go. 

He pulled out his potions book again and went over how to brew Veritaserum again as he ate his sandwiches. He’d just put his book away, ready to walk the short distance to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, when he heard a shrieking and a bang, followed by more of the same noises and a roar of laughter. He rolled his eyes, that had his brother written all over it. He walked into the classroom, the first one there, and stared out of the window. It was a full moon tonight, and he wondered if his brother would try to steal James away from him as Remus wouldn’t be available to deal with his nonsense. That is, if his theory was correct, and Regulus would bet the entire Black family fortune that Remus Lupin was a werewolf.
