It was a call-back that he’d been expecting. It didn’t take much of an utter of the familiar client’s voice, the principal of Dunmore High School, to assure Jim that he had already secured another renewal of paper supplies for the school; an impressive three-year loyalty from the school, but who was counting?
Jim held the phone and watched you at your desk, two sections diagonal of him. He looked pleased when the client began voicing out compliments because of his efficient service, smiled because you were absolutely terrible at playing computer Chess despite lowering the difficulty settings, and beamed when you caught his gaze, warm like the mug of coffee sitting by the small picture frame of your dog on your desk.
It was impossible to know if you could hear what Jim was saying, but the grin on his face told more than a thousand words and you bid him a thumbs up when he looked up from his notepad after scribbling the client’s purchase.
“All right, and before I let you go, our customer service representative will follow up with a short survey regarding our products and services.” A question followed after. “Yep, similar survey as last time—you got it. All right, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Take care.”
Despite originally feeling aversion for his job, he couldn’t lie about feeling some sense of accomplishment whenever he secured a huge order. Not to mention how much of an ego booster it was since he earned a commission out of the sale. Gradually over time, Jim found himself to be one of the top salesman at the office, convincing himself that his stay at Dunder Mifflin would only be temporary.
Then the gratification completely ceased, weakly fluttering like a limp balloon, when he looked at the time on his taskbar.
It was only 10 AM.
This is going to be a long day. Jim groaned, slouching in his seat because the negotiation felt like forever, sucked out all of the energy left in him during the half-of-an-hour call despite fueling himself with caffeine and random fruits he’d stolen from his roommate. They were nearing that gross, wrinkly stage anyway.
When he turned his attention back towards you, the phone was in your hand, the other typing on the keyboard what Jim presumed would be the client’s answers to the survey questions. There was always a smile on your face, even if the client couldn’t see you. And then tone in your voice. It was inviting and personable, a voice that made people feel safe and heard, as if that mattered at all because how could buying paper feel anywhere near dangerous?
Or maybe it was simply because Jim was too high on his own infatuation for you, that he was mostly projecting his appreciation.
A couple of hours had passed, 1 PM, and Jim managed to make a few sales here and there. A couple of clients hadn’t finalized their choice of supplier yet, but Dunder Mifflin was certainly being alluded as the option once he offered free deliveries on the count that they ordered a certain number of shipments of paper. That always sealed the deal.
To be honest, other than enduring many of Michael’s annoying antics with Dwight being his right-hand man, most days in the office were exactly as mundane as today was turning out to be. Usually, he would find himself passing time by hanging around your desk, catching you up on the weirdest news he discovered through a deep-dive in the internet.
And you wouldn’t believe what’s about to happen next…
What..? Don’t tell me they found the fing— Yep, they found the finger in the chicken tenders. Cooked. Medium-rare. Crisp to the bone. Blistering. Oh god—that’s horrifying! Jim—
And usually, they were lies that he made up on the way to your desk, mainly because he loved drawing a reaction out of you. And you were also extremely gullible, which made it all the easier to do so.
But as far as today was concerned, you were knees-deep into your responsibilities. Phone calls concerning shipment delays siphoned you into brief turmoil because—of course there were going to be delays, we’re in the middle of February where the earth was working in mysterious ways to conjure up snow days!
As much as Jim wanted to cut the phone line off when a client had suddenly erupted into an audibly loud one-sided yelling match—he was winning, of course—it always impressive how calm and composed you were under those circumstances.
Though, while he acted the same way regarding his approach to customers, he preferred to give people time and space to calm down. Whereas you accessed the situation and carefully structured how you sounded to hopefully pacify their anger. Your voice was gentler, but it never faltered into a frailness that made you a pushover for the client to rag on. Rather, it was stern, especially authoritative when you would assert, “Sir, I understand this situation is very frustrating for you, but I am here to help. And I cannot help you if you do not tell me your order number. And it would also be very much appreciated if you lowered your voice.”
You were fairly new to the company, a little over two years in your position, and every day, as a little more of you unfolded, you’d shown Jim why you were hired on the spot. You were practically the face of what Dunder Mifflin desired, of what any company expected really; friendly, collaborative, hard-working, efficient, all those cliché keywords on a résumé.
A golden boy, Jim liked to describe you as. He didn’t mean anything negative by it, simply by evidence of your personality at first. But when he mentioned that moniker for you one day, of course you laughed like it was the funniest thing Jim had told you since you’d introduced yourself, because you were a people-pleaser. Easy to get along. Charming. Handsome. Bright. Golden.
That was you.
Honestly, Jim never expected to cross ‘fall in love’ off his New Year’s resolutions right before the year even started. He also never thought he’d strike out ‘discover your bi-awakening’ in any timeline of the universe—only because he didn’t even know he had a type in men—but the future worked in wondrous, confusing ways. Though, if someone actually asked for him to describe his type, it would be indescribable because Jim doesn’t know exactly what made him fall in love with you, except for the fact that it was you. Your presence. Your personality. Your looks. You.
Jim liked how you would say greet everyone ‘good morning,’ but it was him that you held in high-regard. He liked how you were shorter, like many others in the office were compared to him, but you had a build, or maybe a presence, that made him want to take you in his arms and never let go. He liked how you would end up snorting at his jokes because he never found his jokes incredibly funny. It was mainly a tactic, or rather an invitation for you to know that he wanted to be friends. With every laugh that spilled out of your mouth, fortuitous snorts that would embarrass you when Jim kept the joking going, a mutual bond was shortly formed and it felt even better than scoring a huge sale.
He liked how you were generous, tossing a bag of chips on his desk after a visit to the vending machine, and he’d suspected that you’d been watching him too, because you always got his favorite flavor without Jim ever telling you the minor details of his insignificant life.
He also liked how confusing it was to like you, to suddenly develop a crush on a man like he had just discovered a new aspect of life. There was something exciting and new happening in his mundane world, giving him a newfound motivation to come to work other than to pay his bills. He thought he discovered everything about himself by his early 20s, but you’d shown him that life truly does throw you off-course, or in Jim’s case, on the right side of the path.
He casted doubts about his sexuality early on, pondering that loneliness had caught up to him and constructed an entirely different narrative as a last ditch effort to set him on an expedition to find love again.
But would loneliness really be influential enough to compel him to suddenly kiss you in the parking lot after having dinner together? He recalled you gasping, pulling away, thankfully not because you were repulsed by him, but because you were in complete shock that Jim was even into men in the first place.
Jim never realized how much he brought up his ex-girlfriends to overcompensate for this sudden attraction for the opposite gender until you brought it up.
I don’t know yet, about all of this… I’m still figuring things out, but I really like you, (M/N).
Jim, I think you had too much to drink.
All I had was a Sprite—
He pondered that night, then many more until it began weighing on his conscience.
But he oddly found himself kissing you again a month after, properly this time, in his Subaru when he took you home after your car broke down. He felt like a volcano erupting when his lips landed on yours, soft and delicate like the first time he kissed you. His breath rattled into your own hesitation with every exhale, but then you took him in, let him in, and Jim melted.
And then calmed, stilled, when you led, cupping his jaw to keep Jim from pulling away, and instead closer, leaning over the armrests of each respective seat and center console. The leather pressed uncomfortably into his body, but when you slipped your tongue inside of his mouth, he was spellbound, then purged of any feeling other than the ones you’d enthralled him with.
As you assured him on that night, with a late night conversation that refused to let you out of his car and Jim out of your neighborhood street, that was when he found himself.
Huh.
What?
Nothing… Usually my gay-dar is pretty spot on, so if I knew you rocked that way, I would’ve flirted with you early on.
Okay, one; never mention gay-dar to Michael or Dwight ever, because then they’ll go ‘I told you so’ on me. And two; you had a crush on me? Tell me more.
You’d be surprised how much height can make a gay man go feral, Jim.
Seems like you managed yourself pretty well, don’t you think? That you know of.
You animal…
Another hour passed by as Jim willingly let himself be sucked into a black hole of thoughts recalling those moments with you, those ‘firsts’ that could keep him distracted for another two hours or so. Alongside his first kiss with you, there was the first time he touched you; clumsiness took his hands to roam around your chest, stomach, then erection until you blew from Jim’s increasing interest, and then profound knowledge in your body.
He kissed you elsewhere other than your lips. It started off with your neck, then your shoulders, chest, and so-on, until his lips suddenly began wrapping around your own length without warning, sucking you off with cloddish, yet enticing attempts that made you laugh, because Jim was greedy, awkward with his tongue, but that didn’t stop you from wanting him to yourself.
You pulled him off and made him lean back on the couch instead, settling on your knees and then rewarding his service with your own mouth, to show him how to properly work a cock. Jim was never a man that was enticed by blowjobs, only because a mouth never felt gratifying enough, but with every swirl of your tongue, every spit that dripped off of his thick cock and back into your mouth, he was fully convinced that he was a changed man by the time he filled your mouth.
He then intruded deep inside of you because to fully have an understanding of your body, he needed to explore every inch, every surface, every crevice. It was on his bed, in his messy room that Jim tried to hurriedly clean before you came in, that could barely accommodate room for two, but it was you who made it work when you straddled on his lap and rode him instead. You’d never felt so full, you said it yourself he was balls-deep inside of you.
And jesus christ, Jim knew he was big considering the women he’d dated were apprehensive about taking him, barely taking his cock before surrendering. It gave him deja vu with the way you held your eyes shut, bracing your position by having one palms on his chest, and the other guiding his cock carefully into you, controlling the stagger of your breath to the best of your ability.
In the moment where he’d expect you to stop pushing yourself and tell him to settle for a blowjob instead, determination set you aflame like the painful stretch Jim had been providing you with, and with three more pulses to your breath, a brief break to apply more lube on Jim’s erection and your hole, you were entirely breached when Jim aided your hips and pushed you down until you were flushed against his body, flesh sticky and sweaty from your persistence.
You’re amazing… Jim, I’m close. Harder—
It was a memorable night, a messy one where you offered to change his sheets, and Jim swore he could’ve gone all-night if they hadn’t had work the very next day.  Instead, he held you close, panting and continuing to fill you despite your protest to shower, gazing into your eyes while you held his stare with a warmth that might have rivaled his own infactuation for you, and smiled.
I really like you.
I really, really like you too, Halpert.
And now Jim was here, fantasizing in his seat with an aching hard-on, but absolutely guilt-free this time, because it’d been a few months since you two made it official.
It took several pings from Jim’s computer to put his musing to a halt. He leaned forward to view the unread messages, tending to his erection with a few gentle squeezes, then peeked over his monitor with a grin when he realized it was from you.
[M/N]: lunch? [M/N]: hellooooo
[M/N]: if you don’t answer i’m ordering ahead without you [M/N]: wow you’re really out of it [M/N]: stare deep into space if you hate me [M/N]: wow, jim.
“Hey,” A gentle kick to your shoe knocked your attention up to Jim, where he greeted you with a warm smile as soon as your gaze fell on him, a coat draped over his arm. “What are you feeling today?” The weather wasn’t too cold, the coat mainly providing an obstruction to the evident outline in his khakis.
Glistening, you returned his smile tenfold in brightness, sprouting from your seat to stretch your arms over your head, loosening the tuck of your shirt crinkle by crinkle until you felt a pleasing crack to your back and shoulders. “Anything’s fine. Sushi? Wait, no—we had that last week.”
“You have…” Jim rolled a sleeve up to check the time on his watch, and your eyes immediately pivoted towards the veins in his forearm, endearing and taunting. “…the two minutes it takes to get to my car to decide.”
“Wait, but that’s not even enough—“ He turned his body so you were complaining towards his back, broad and firm through his blue dress shirt. You’d never felt so envious of a piece of clothing hugging tight on his body when that could’ve been you.
“Up and at ‘em, a minute and twenty seconds now.” Jim began walking towards the entrance, chuckling as he could hear you scramble through your desk in search for something. “Gotta find my wallet first—“
“Seriously? It’s already been thirty seconds now!”
Turned out, all that rushing was for nothing as Jim had other plans when he pulled you past the exit to the parking lot, and instead another floor lower, and then another, until you and him reached the warehouse. He acted on impulse, his sudden thirst for you taking the reign of his actions that he didn’t exactly know what to do had the warehouse not been empty. Luckily, it was and Jim would keep that in mind for the future.
“Uh… Jim, why are we down here?” The warehouse was bigger than you last remembered from the brief introductory tour you were given. Though, to be fair, you were running on a half-mug of coffee, and the adrenaline rush of meeting everyone for the first time hadn’t worn off yet.
“You’ll see,” Jim shrugged, nonchalant in his demeanor as his gaze was seemingly in pursuit of something above him along the rows of storage shelves and units. “Don’t want to ruin the surprise for you.” The words rolled off of his tongue suspiciously, and beneath the growing smile on Jim’s face that was supposed to keep you calm and composed like it did on normal circumstances, was something that did the opposite, riling a wave of conflicting feelings within you.
Especially when Jim began to climb a ladder and step into a shelf space in the back of the warehouse that was hidden impressively well from the entrance.
“What—What are you doing?! Get down here!” Your eyes widened in panic, scanning the space from left to right multiple times in case any of the warehouse employees were within vicinity. “Jim!”
“It’s fine, come on up!” He waved you up once he got himself situated, head awkwardly bent and shoulders slant because of the shelf barely accommodated for his height and build.
“No way. We’re going to get fired if we get caught.” You frowned, crossing your arms as you stared up at him, baffled.
“You know, it would help your case if you weren’t standing where everyone could see you.” Jim reasoned and you huffed after. “I promise, we won’t get caught. I’ll keep an eye out. And if it helps, Darryl told me about this area. Toasty in here too.”
Apprehensively, you took ahold of the ladder railings and climbed your way to the shelf space where Jim awaited for your arrival, anticipated with a smug smile as he held out his hand to pull you in once you took his palm.
The shelf was in the darkest corner of the room. A few lights above had been burnt out for quite some time, and the large boxes of paper supplies that surrounded the perimeter casted shadows that ultimately provided an agreeable space despite your original complaints. In this case, as you cataloged the pillows and one throw blanket around you and Jim; a comfy place to rest your eyes.
“You took me here… to nap.” You stated matter-of-factly and stared at him disengaged, but nonetheless foraged a pillow behind your head and snuggled up to his left side when he opened his arm up.
“The things I do for you. Absolutely no appreciation whatsoever.” Jim joked, then pinched your nose with a chuckle. The gesture always managed to pull a smile out of you, and he already anticipated you mirroring it back at him, to which he keenly blocked with a strong hold of your wrist. Then another when you attempted sneak attack with a neck-chop with your other arm.
“You know…” Your voice wandered to a deepness, a slight hush as if anyone around you could hear. “You could’ve just told me you were horny.” You tugged your hands in resistance.
“What—How did you know?” Jim broke out into a toothy smile despite being caught red-handed.
“I mean, you weren’t exactly hiding your boner that well. A hand isn’t going to cover that.” You nodded your head towards the size of his bulge, the center of Jim’s khakis creasing when his erection greeted you with a throb. The boxes of paper supplies couldn’t shelter Jim had they tried.
“Hey, are you shaming me for having a big penis? Wow, (M/N). I thought you were different.” He loosened his hold on your wrists, but nonetheless kept them within his grasp to guide your right hand to his inner thigh, dropping the other after. He leaned in, his gaze pivoting to your wet lips when you licked your lips. The scent of his cologne, along with the way Jim’s eyes glazed over you like a piece of meat, stirred something inside of you. Your pants felt tighter than a couple seconds ago.
“If blowing you until you finish in my mouth is shaming, then…” Jim’s hand pressed on top of yours to move you upwards to his bulge, but you resisted, a teasing grin beamed towards the smug smile on his face before you enchanted his lips with a soft, languid kiss. “Call me a monster.”
Jim abandoned your hand to take ahold of your jaw, cupping the underside of it softly while his thumb caressed the structure with composed strokes. Your breath tasted like coffee, sweeter than how Jim preferred his own cup, but perfectly delectable when it came from your tongue.
“You stole my line.” He joked again, then kissed you harder; a stroke of his tongue parted your lips again in desperate need to take you, in a sloppy pursuit of some kind of reward for his terrific work this month. His tongue explored your mouth, panting among both parties, your own wet flesh gliding and slipping against and around his needy endeavors, prompted by the gentle squeezes and strokes on his erection, and it didn’t take very long before you were completely captivated by Jim and the way he took you, your body going limp except for the growing tent in your pants.
You palmed him through his khakis. Your hand barely moved up his thigh before you could feel a long and thick lump residing beneath the crinkle of his left pocket, and a moan slipped from your throat because you could never stop marveling over the size of Jim’s cock. “We only have twenty minutes.” It was a complaint rather than a reminder. The clock ticking in your head peeled you away from the captivating kiss, frowning because there was so much you wanted to do to Jim, for him.
“Better get to work then.” You felt his hands suddenly begin to work at your belt, unbuckling them with deft and efficiency. Impatience left the leather hang loose, flopping stiffly as Jim unzipped your pants, and then pushed them down to your ankles after turning you on your side, your back facing him.
Jim snapped your briefs below the smooth curve of your ass, plumping them with the help of the tight restraining digging into your skin and pushing your mounds of flesh upwards. It was a delicious invitation for him to spank your right ass cheek once to watch how his slap reverberated off your flesh in soft jiggles, then another because your hushed whimpers were the perfect accompaniment to the force of his palm.
“Couldn’t stop thinking about your ass today.” He confessed while the strong kneads to your ass, palms of thick flesh groped and spread, provided proof to his confession.
“Yeah? Is that why you couldn’t keep it in your pants today?” You groaned when something wet and lean slid nimbly inside of your hole without warning. Tight and warm, you squeezed around Jim’s lone finger as it thrusted inside of you. Whimpered when it curled, another finger joining after a couple of flicks of his wrist, with the intent to wreck vengeance on the source of his erection.
“You know it,” His voice ghosted over your ear, closer than you expected, and your head knowingly turned to meet his lips for a yearning, sloppy kiss that Jim mutually had been craving all day for. He pushed himself closer to you, your mouth and his parting open and lingering as tongues mingled for an open-mouthed kiss. It was wet and sickly, enough to get you high on the act alone, cock throbbing when Jim closed his mouth around your tongue and sucked the spit bubbles off your tongue. All of that simultaneously stirring butterflies in your stomach while he worked your hole open, presently stretching you out with three fingers barreled into your cavity.
Usually three fingers was enough to take Jim’s cock. It was uncomfortable, at times painful when you barely stretched yourself. But you liked that you could feel every inch of Jim’s muscly cock pushing you open. You likened it to rolling out a tight muscle after a tough workout. Painful, but incredibly satisfying once you felt him turning you out. Plus, it never failed to make Jim incredibly gratified, his cock somehow growing harder, thicker while he was shelved inside of you.
It wasn’t the most ideal position; you were facing boxes of copy paper that instantly evoked shame, the Dunder Mifflin logo plastered across the cardboard seemingly mortified by the lack of restraining when it came to your boyfriend. It wasn’t often that you two involved yourself in public sex, but when Jim was either too impatient to wait at his apartment, or you needed something to recharge you in the middle of the day, those circumstances mainly resided in his car. You bought extra blankets to cover up the windows too, though ultimately, they served no purpose because you were here—ass out, jerking yourself off to the hastened sound of Jim’s belt unbuckling, khakis and boxers shoved down to his ankles similar to yours in turn.
“Shoot,” Jim grunted irritably. You turned your head over your shoulder, curiously finding the source of his evident annoyance along with him as Jim began searching through his coat pockets, only after taking a long peek at the glorious throb of his cock.
“What? Having regrets already?” You grinned, and you discerned a vacant smile of his own, Jim’s mind occupied by a multitude of thoughts.
“I forgot the lube. I thought I put it in my pocket, guess not…” A sigh of disappointment came after Jim’s habit of clicking his tongue whenever he felt any kind of feeling. “Well, I guess we could try—“
You suddenly took Jim’s hand and spat in it, Jim watching wide-eyed, stunned, while you pushed a few more out with your tongue since saliva never had the ideal longevity and viscosity of lube. “Hurry before it dries.” You turned back calmly, beckoning for his cock with a push of your ass.
“I’m in love with you.” Jim breathed out, a toothy smile you could imagine from the giddy tone of his voice. The spit in his hand was then used to lube his thick cock, in a thick sheen you presumed from the sticky sounds that tingled the tips of your ears, then the base of your tightened balls.
“Prove it to me.” You folded the arm you were lain on behind your head, cushioning the weight of it while your other hand reached back to lather his cock in your saliva after spitting a few more times into your palm. You felt veins pulsing strong with every stroke, a weight of thick cock that made your wrist sore, and then as you pivoted towards the pink glans of Jim’s dick, a bulbous head that intimidatingly maintained the girth of his shaft.
“You’re going to regret it.” He said smugly, adjusting himself closer and lower to match your smaller build. His moans were bitten back, swallowed down with hard gulps while you were carried away in providing him a temporary relief that you were too impatient to ignore.
Your hand continued stroking him off, your saliva sticking on his cock and then eventually in between your ass as you guided him towards your entrance, immense warmth emanating from the blood surging through his cock veins. “Have I ever?”
“No,” Jim replaced your hand, making it return back to fondling your balls, and teased by running his cock over the crack of your ass. You felt his cock bolt with a spring, taunting when the plump head pressed its slick pre-cum to your pucker. He loved how he could see your ass clench in desperate efforts to lure him in, but it was futile as he’d return to sweeping over your hole with languid swipes, drawing out whimpers that signified that your impatience was running thin.
“And I love you even more for that.”
He suddenly pushed. Your breath got caught in your throat from the abruptness of it all, and your body immediately tensed in turn, frozen in place when a burning sensation from beneath alerted you to stay put and just breathe. Jim groaned, already feeling the swell of your pucker refusing to let the head in, so he pulled himself out and restarted. Harder, he pushed his cock inside of you again, persistent despite your body naturally arcing forward to escape the emerging pain, but his hand on your hip pulled you back, anchoring your withering body, until the thick inch of his cock slid in.
“Careful—F-fuck, Jim.” Your stomach was in knots as it always was when he would first push inside of you. Feelings, conflicting ones of need, want, and regret battling for the throne of your body, of your mind, as Jim kept pushing, sliding in and out, rough and impatient because he needed you to open yourself up for him.
He was so big, too big at times, and you felt so pathetic because you thought you’d get used to him by now; used to the way you felt so full even when only his head had penetrated you; used to how your hole stung as more of Jim sheathed inside of you, slowly with a couple of thrusts aiding its insertion.
“I know, I know…” He breathed with a rattle, the tightness in your cavity gripping pleasurably around him as he thrusted with only the first few inches in, absolutely riveting that he couldn’t help but let his desires dominant his methodical approach in letting you adjust to his large size and instead, making you to take it all at once with one long and deep push.
“J-Jim!” A scream abruptly left your throat and before you could let another slip out, his hand suddenly came up to cover your mouth, pressing his palm hard to your face and squeezing your cheeks. Your eyes shut, and your body writhed from how Jim’s cock roughly worked you opened. You felt uncomfortably full, beyond stretched to your limits as Jim was balls-deep inside of you now, but most importantly, you felt so wanted.
Bounded by the strong hold around you; his hand squeezing your cheeks in his palm to muffle your moans; his cock penetrating you deep and hard with fast and needy rhythms; his lips soft against your neck before they surprised with a painful suck to your jawbone; you were enraptured by Jim’s dominance over you, leaking from the tip of your cock in heavy drips while he fucked you from behind, the metal of his belt clacking with every precision of his thrusts.
“You’re so tight. Fuck. No one can take my dick like you.” Jim panted, embellishing your neck in hot breaths before climbing to kiss you on the lips again once you were prompted to turn your head.
It was the small sounds from you that drove Jim nuts. They spilled into his mouth without restraint, an open-mouthed kiss again as he licked into you, suckled on your tongue, and let drool join your own slick mess at your chin. Tiny whimpers and occasional gasps when he hit your prostate fed his thirst for you, knowing that only he could drive you this mad; fumbling over your begs and surrendering because his cock was too good for you to think properly and find your words again.
“Harder. Harder.” You gulped, your demands muffled as Jim had his thumb in your mouth now. After, you went back to sucking his thick thumb off, tongue laving him in circular motions, as best as one could as Jim sped his pace and fucked you into oblivion. “Harder.” You gritted your teeth, hustling through the burn as the saliva had dried off his dick by now. You were beating your cock, pumping it with an ample amount of strength that rivaled Jim’s hips against you, motivated by the ticking countdown of your lunch break coming to an end soon.
It still stung. You barely had time to adjust to him before you were completely taking Jim’s cock as if you were a cheap flashlight he bought online, a piece of silicon that he’d break. Your hair bounced, sweat-dripping down your forehead while you felt his own sweat dripping of his forehead and staining your dress shirt. The back of your shirt felt damp, heat building up at your back-side as Jim had enclosed around you with an embrace that thawed any ounce of pain and replaced it with intoxicating pleasure. An onslaught of thrusts kept you writhing by your toes, then curling into the blanket that had bundled beneath your feet.
Harder. Your demands were immediately met after Jim pulled himself out completely, as if he was recharging his strength, lubed his erection with a spit to the palm, then shoved himself back into you with one strong thrust, sending your body into an arc that he’d immediately restrained back with a push to your abdomen, forcing you to take his cock in full stride. Your ass rippled like the rattle in your moans, flesh clapping loud whenever Jim met his groin to your skin, and you couldn’t get enough of it, the sounds glorious in your ear. Your hole clenched in vain as Jim always managed to power through and forced you open again, hollowing you out until your pucker shaped itself to the exact size of his thick cock.
He would marvel at the gape when he pulled himself out again, for his own sake as he was nearing his climax, and spread your cheeks open. “Just for me?”
“Just for you.” You used the small break to catch up on your breath, wetting your parched throat with multiple gulps as you turned over your shoulder to catch him staring, finding it futile as your throat felt brittle again.
He clicked his tongue multiple times, that habit again whenever he felt something, when the rim of your hole tensed up at the multiple spanks he’d given you, seemingly swallowing at nothing but air, until he breached himself back in, angling his hips perfectly to press at your prostate.
It was nearing—your climax. You rarely touched your cock, abandoning it because your arms tend to be locked behind Jim’s warm embrace around you, but it sprouted strong in between your legs, aided by the repeated violation against your prostate. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head multiple times, Jim’s large cock knocking the breath out of you with every snap of his hips, pounding into the swelling of your insides.
“Oh god, Jim—“
That spot again, he never missed once in hitting your prostate, a storm of delight torpedoing the pit of your stomach as Jim impaled into you like lightning. Jim muttered something under his breath, striking on your skin as he bit into your neck, then pressed hard against your hip bone.
“I’m gonna—“ Jim gripped at your hips harder, a slur of words near your ear making goosebumps raise all over your body, beneath the layer of sweat that had dampened your clothes.
“Too, me too—“ You huffed, closing your eyes, but deftly finding Jim’s lips when you turned your head to kiss him one more time. An immediate tangle of tongues was enforced, your mouths mutually opening on impulse while he held your head comfortably to keep you from straining your neck. You moaned, reeled your tongue back from the slippery closure of his mouth, and cried out as your pucker clamped down on his large cock moving inside of you. Your hole throbbed around his girth with exquisite spurts that came from within, pulsated with the veins that had adorned Jim’s cock delectably, grasped him like a tight sleeve that refused to let him go.
When you opened your eyes, you were blinded by the lights that had donned over you instead of casted shadows, a heavenly choir celebrating with holy bells when your balls tightened once before loosening when your cock erupted thick cumshots onto the boxes in front of you, painting the cardboard in thick layers of yourself, of your desires, with the help of Jim’s cock, pounding strong ropes of cum out of you until they’ve hit every box like target practice.
“Fuck.” Jim let out a deep groan, pushing painfully into you, his hand reaching over to milk your cock until you were only spewing out the tiniest bits of cum left in your emptying sack. Your whimpering and the convulsion of your body, as he continued to milk your cock, triggered Jim to finally break within a couple more thrusts and a deep grunt, his cock exploding hot and thick in the confines of your ass, flooding your tender hole with his thick cum loads.
“Jim.” You whined, drawing out his name. His cum was dripping out of you, a few thick droplets rolling to the side of your ass as Jim’s thrusts were beginning to shallow, but never once pausing. “Fuck—“
“You feel so good like this.” Jim was creaming your insides, using your ass to ride out his orgasm and milk his hard cock inside of you, even when he was beginning to feel sore at the base of his balls. You whimpered quietly, knowing it was such a waste of cum dripping out of you like that, but also because you felt your cock hardening again despite just now recovering from Jim’s devious hold on you.
“We’re going to be late if you keep this up.” You should’ve known better. Any time you offered him a reason not to do something, Jim was motivated to do the opposite.
His thrusts remained the same, shallow yet deep against you, and right when you thought you felt soaked in your ass, Jim pressed another low grunt to your lips, snapping once into you and rattling another moan out of you, before the convulsions bound his body to your backside once again, and let him spill another load inside of your creamy hole.
Jim shuddered, feeling drained and especially aching as his cock went limp and slipped out of you, the only connection between you and him being the sticky cum that had webbed his cock and your ass together as you involuntarily pushed his cum out of your tender hole in a daze.
“Think you can work the rest of the day like this?” The pleasure subsided into exhaustion, a wave of drowsiness hitting you and Jim like a truck despite the uncomfortable pool of cum sitting beneath you two. Jim kissed your shoulder, then pulled your briefs back up, your pants following after.
“No way.” You laughed, lightly punching at his shoulder after buckling your belt because now all you wanted to do was use what the shelf was actually purposed for: sleeping. “You owe me a hot bath later.”
“Tch, the things I do for you. You're ungateful.”
"You love me for it."
"I do."

A People Pleaser
pairing - jim halpert x reader
summary - jim is known to be likable, so the one person he really has grown to enjoy seemingly not liking him is very frustrating
request - 900 event!
Tumblr media
Despite sitting right beside him your eyes seem to always look past his. It had been almost a complete month since the newest co-worker of Dunder Mifflin, you, arrived and you still won’t look at him. It is (not so) secretly getting to him.
It was clear from the moment you arrived that you made the dull office seem brighter, smile and sweet beauty, you chatted up everyone. Sure, you were more quiet but you still tried to come out of your shell.
He admired that aspect about you, the way you’d bashfully let Dwight wander on and on about some stupid beet rant and kindly explain something to the vibrant Kelly who would rather chat your ear off about royalty drama. Somehow, in one way or another, you had done something kind for everyone in the office, even Jim, yet he was still spiraling.
You would quietly bring him coffee after getting some for yourself, yet never said anything more than placing it on his desk and returning back to your work.
Tumblr media
“I don’t get it,” he sighed, legs crossed and furrowed brows while staring at the camera. “Did I give her a mean look the first day? Accidentally take a potential client? She just refuses to talk to me!” he waved his hands around, clearly stressed.
“Have you tried being nice?” one of the people behind the camera asked.
“I mean, yeah!”
Tumblr media
“Oh my,” you agitatedly whispered underneath your breath, hand rubbing the bridge of your nose while peering at the never-ending circle of death. The bright colors were now spinning for ten minutes, and you had tried everything.
“You alright?” Jim looked up from his work to see your mouth downturned and face sour.
“It’s fine,” you shake your head, typing something into the keyboard while waving the mouse around the screen. “The website might just be down.”
“Mine works fine.”
“Thanks,” you grimaced, your voice clearly showing how annoyed you were at the moment. At your reaction, Jim flushed a bit, fearful that he was giving you another thing to hate about him. Therefore, in order to make sure that wouldn’t happen, he made it a mission to help you.
He stood up from his desk, walking the few steps to your own where he leaned over the side of you, now scanning his eyes through the computer screen in hopes of seeing something you had not.
You could feel his breath on the open skin of your neck, he was so close, his hand gripping one edge of the desk, near where your own arm lay with hand on top of the mouse. Inside your stomach was experiencing that familiar stirring feeling when you encompassed Jim Halpert.
Tumblr media
“I don’t hate Jim,” you quietly answered the question, sitting uncomfortably in front of the camera. “Why would you think that?”
Tumblr media
“Did you try doing that command exit?” he questioned, looking down at you, a few wisps of hair falling across his forehead. You couldn’t help but stare at the new look, the way his eyes always seemed so soft when they looked at you. But, then again, he was just such a nice guy that it probably was like that with everyone.
“Didn’t work,” you hum, forcing yourself to face away and keep your sights on the computer screen. This action now gave Jim a similar opportunity to look over your features. The way you nervously bit at your lip and the creases from your current stress were evident near your eyebrows. Something fluttered within him, and how he wished to just gently smooth them before placing a sof- “I’ve tried everything.”
“Well there is one way, if you head to the search bar,” pushing his thoughts aside he moved his hand up a bit to reach for the mouse. In return he accidentally grabbed the top of your hand. “Oh,”
“It’s fine!” you accidentally yelled, looking around at the stares from disrupting fellow co-workers you quieted down, and tried to leave your seat. “I’ll just go talk to IT, call them, or something. You don’t have to worry about it.”
He hesitated before removing his hand from your own, and like an ignored puppy, he relocated back to his desk, sending a defeated look towards the camera, trying to signal them to look away.
All that was swirling through his mind is that - somehow - he gave you another reason to despise him. All that was swirling through your mind was that your crush on the naturally kind man was escalating fast, and you didn’t want to make a fool of yourself.
This was merely one example of Jim’s attempt at showing an extra kindness to you, a chance for you to grow a liking to the genuinely sweet man (even though you already had, he just wasn’t informed on that information). Later on in the week he was determined to do a coffee drop off as you had done for him many times.
It was the later hours of the night, Michaels lack of organization leading to two sales people having to stay later and fix his mistake. After too many rounds of rock paper scissors, it was concluded that you and Jim were the (un)lucky winners.
“I’ve almost finished with the first pile,” he perked up at the sound of your voice, soft humming exiting your lips after the small comment. “I should be able to finish up the next one rather quickly.”
“Same here,” he hummed, tapping his pen on his desk. “Weird without everyone.”
“Mhm,” you nodded in agreement, scribbling away with no mind to his words.
“I’ll be back,” exiting his area he made his way to the darkened kitchen area. Luckily there was a pot left, pouring a bit into two cups - your specifically designed one and his striped one - he plopped them in the microwave to heat up.
“Hey, does it look like the name-” you suddenly stopped your question upon noticing that your co-worker had disappeared. With much interest and confusion, you now followed the beaming light to where he stood blowing your coffee a bit. “Jim?”
“Ah!” he hastily put the cup down.
“What are you doing?”
“Providing you a good cup of joe,” he hesitantly smiled, lifting up the green mug. “I warmed them up too long, don’t want your tongue to burn off or something.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his comment, giggles erupting which made him just want to join in. “You’re so kind,” you mumbled, taking the cup and bringing it to your lips.
Jim was stunned, stuck in place, his eyes wide and ears (almost seemed) to perk up at such a compliment. “You think I’m nice?”
“You’re the nicest person in the office, probably.”
“Wait, you don’t hate me?”
“Why do people think that?” you shook your head.
“It’s just, well, you act so differently. I try extra hard to be nice, I don’t know if when you first started working here I somehow did something to … tick you off?”
“Oh,” was all you could muster up at the moment, nerves once again kicking in at the way his body heat seemed to be radiating and a soft glow was in his eyes. “I’m sorry.”
“You don’t need to apologize, it’s just, I actually just want to get to know you more.”
“Jim, you’re kind, but you don’t need to do anything extra for me. I’ve noticed your politeness and all of these acts, it makes me overthink things,” with a sigh you let him know the truth, shoulders slumped due to the confession. “It’s not your fault, it’s mine, I just don’t want to take things out of context.”
“You think I learned the way you take your coffee just to be friendly?” you nodded at his question. “Even the way I always drop off a specific candy bar if you’re having a bad day, or e-mail a funny message about animals because that always seems to make you smile? Have I ever done any of that for Dwight, Angela, even Stanley?”
There is silence roommate, and for once you ponder to yourself that you may not be overthinking everything after all. Jim places his hand on your shoulder, thumb rubbing over the fabric. “It’s not as if I like them in the way I like you.”
And after those words tumble from his lips that hand moves up to cup your cheek, mouth leaning in to place itself upon your own. He can taste your coffee concoction on his lips now, and finally get to feel the softness of your cheeks. Similar to a boy's first kiss, he opens his eyes, trying to admire the features (finally) up close.
Tumblr media
“Well, it’s obvious he confessed,” Pam laughed, rolling her eyes while speaking in the confessional. “He shows that lovesick smile all the time, I would know, I’m his best friend. It was even obvious that she liked him, but I figured it would be better for him to find that out on his own.”
The camera went on to pan into where you and Jim were giggling at the candy on the receptionist's desk. He stole a piece from your hands, plopping it into his mouth, and you lightly smacked his arm in response. Jim’s lips twitched, hands grabbing your own hand, and just shaking his head before letting it loose. To Jim the confession was liberating, he was known to be a people pleaser but especially a you pleaser. Yet, hiding his growing affection from the office staff would be more difficult than he imagined.

🖇Office Romance🖇👔
Jim Halpert x female reader (y/n only used a couple times)
18+!!! Warnings- cursing, unprotected p in v, sex in public
Notes- more Eddie content coming soon I promise but idk I just started rewatching the office again and my Jim crush came flooding back to me. This is a situation where obviously Jim and Pam aren’t together, because I’d never get in between #jam 🥰
You push the door to the kitchen and walk through, going to the second door and into the annex. Passing Toby who’s on the phone with an emotional Kelly, you head to the supply closet. As you slip inside, you see your office crush Jim scanning the shelves, hands lifting tiny boxes of paper clips looking for the ones he wants.
“Hey.” He smiles lightly at you, “I’m not hiding from Michael in here. Ok fine, actually I am, don’t tell on me.” you giggle at his little joke.
“Your secret’s safe with me. What are you looking for?” you ask sweetly, walking closer to him. “I like those medium paper clips. And all we have left is the tiny ones and the huge ones.” He sighs, shouldering slumping dramatically. “But maybe if I look hard enough, some will appear.” He wiggles his eyebrows.
“You need something?” He eyes you up and down curiously. “Post-its.” You say, stomach filling with butterflies under his gaze. “But I can grab them.”
You stand in front of the shelf, shoulder lightly touching his side, tall frame towering over you. Being this close to him, he smells like evergreen bar soap and the faint hint of chocolate, probably from the hershey kisses he’s been eating at his desk all morning.
Intoxicated by his proximity to you, you turn your chin to look up at him, your hands feeling around on the shelf aimlessly, mind distracted. His chestnut hair flipping up slightly over his ears, his big green eyes scanning the office supplies. You’re lost in a daydream staring at him. His cheeks ignite into a bloom of pink as he feels your eyes on him.
You’ve been a temp at Dunder-Mifflin for a couple months and in that time, you’ve gotten to know Jim pretty well. You two talk all the time, have lunch together, sit next to each other in the conference room meetings. Sparks ignited every time his knee would brush against your thigh or his hand would grasp yours when he would laugh particularly hard at something stupid Dwight would say. Jim has his own way of flirting but he’s too nice to ever try anything with you. He stares at you from across the office when he thinks you’re not looking, he makes excuses to come over to your desk twenty times a day. But you’re not satisfied with the light flirting. You want more of him.
You decide to be bold and make a move. Risky but if it doesn’t work out, you won’t be at this company much longer anyway. You move your body to stand behind Jim’s, hands leaving the shelf and moving to curl around his middle. His body tenses under you at first, softening as your hands trace up and down the sides of his thin button up. You hear a soft sigh as he turns to face you, your neck bending back to meet his eyes.
His hands come up to cradle your face, eyes softening, “y/n, are you trying to distract me?” he jokes, his voice low and gravelly. He doesn’t seem surprised or caught off guard, more relieved that one of you is finally doing something about this mutual crush. He slowly leans in, eyes fluttering closed as his lips hover close to yours. Your face is serious, eyes staring at his blissful face, pupils blown large. You want to kiss Jim, just not yet. You want to have a little naughty fun first. “Turn back around Jim.” you tell him. His eyes widen at you, face paused only inches from your face. He does as he’s told and turns his back to you.
Your hands resume their exploring, dipping low to tickle over his belt buckle. His breath hitches as you run your fingers over the zipper of his pants, going a bit lower on either side to find his member. “Mmph.” He groans as one of your hands comes into contact with it, sitting against his thigh and already partially hard. His hands grasp the edge of the shelf to steady himself, head falling forward.
Your hands continue to rub him through his pants, pressing your palm lightly into it as you go down, curling your fingers around the outline of it as you pull back up. His breathing is fast and shallow. A small “fuck” spills from his lips and you smile against his back devilishly.
Suddenly he grabs your hands to stop you. Your stomach drops, worried you’ve crossed a line. He turns around to see your worried face, bottom lip being nibbled by your top teeth. He smirks, “You keep doing that, m’gonna cum way too fast.” You release your lip, mouth hanging open at his words. “I knew you were a bad girl.” He says, body pushing closer to yours. The tent in his pants pushing into your hip as the soft flesh of his lips graze the shell of your earlobe, “Go lock the door.”
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding and went and pushed the little metal knob into the handle. Your mind races and is blank at the same time as you walk back to Jim. His eyes are locked onto yours as he undoes his belt and pulls down his zipper, his pants falling to the ground and pooling around his ankles.
You stand in front of him again, hands raising to unbutton his shirt. Before you can undo the top button his hands are grasping behind your thighs, squeezing and hoisting you up to sit on an extra desk that sits in the room. You let out a squeak at the sudden movement, making him giggle at your cuteness.
“So fuckin’ hot.” He says as his hands squeeze at your waist, running down to your hips. He begins to pull at the fabric, pulling the bottom of your pencil skirt up, up, up until it’s bunched up around your waist. Your lacy black thong and matching black stockings sandwiching the plush, pale skin of your thighs. His fingers settle on the smooth skin there, gripping tightly.
You lean in and attack his mouth in a greedy kiss, his big nose tickling your cheek as you move your head around, kissing him deeply. Your tongues intertwine and smooth over each other’s passionately. His kiss is better than you’ve imagined, which you’ve done a thousand times in the past while you’d stare at his mouth. Your heels fall off your dangling feet as your curl your ankles around his legs, pushing his boner closer to your core.
You unbutton his shirt buttons starting at the bottom, pushing it back and off his shoulders as you undo the last one. He’s pale and scrawny underneath, not surprising, but what is surprising is how toned he actually is. His arms are large and strong, his stomach soft but defined at the same time. A light patch of soft hair leading from his belly button to down beneath his boxers. You let your hands wander over his chest, grabbing handfuls of his pecs and pinching his nipples playfully. He sucks in a sharp breath through his teeth at the feeling, leaning back for a second to switch to the other side of your neck.
“Been thinking about fucking you since you started here baby.” He says between kisses. “Always look so good. So sweet to me.” He smiles against your skin. “Never thought someone as beautiful as you would want me.” Your eyebrows pull together in confusion, how could Jim not know how cute he is? You don’t say anything through, thinking it’s better to keep these guys humble.
“Fuck me then daddy.” You say whiney and soft. He looks at you with eyes as big as saucers, frozen for a second. “Call me that again.” His hand is squeezing his cock, hardening even more at your little nickname for him. “Pull my panties off and fuck me hard daddy. I need to feel you. Now.”
He nods his head as his hands come up to your hips, pulling the thin black fabric down your thighs, past your calves, over your ankles and off of your feet. He places them delicately on the desk next to you, fingers patting them gently. “Let me keep those when we’re done?” He asks shyly. You giggle and nod, pulling his neck towards you again to kiss his lips.
His hands begin to pull down his boxers, you pull up your top over your head, blinded for a second by the fabric. When you can see again, you’re met by his large member standing at attention, thick vein running up the underside and wrapping around towards the head. His mushroom cap tip is the same warm pink shade of his lips, maybe pinker. The slit in the top is shiny with precum, some already starting to dribble out in little pearls.
“Wow.” You whisper out. He pulls your thighs toward him, angling your hips and lining up with your entrance, tickling your dripping folds with the head of his cock teasingly. “Start slow ok?” You ask him softly, worried about fitting all of him. “Course.” He smiles at you. His eyes watch where you two are connected, all his focus directed on opening you up slowly. You feel the stretch starting as the tip of his head breaches your entrance, stopping at the ridge that separates it from the shaft. Jim’s mouth hangs open as his warm breath comes out in soft pants. His eyes squeeze shut as he pulls the head out, to push it back in only that far and pull it back out again. He does this a few times, inching in his cock a little more every time he enters.
You moan at the feeling of slowly being filled up by him. Your hands come up to grasp your breasts through your bra, the meaty flesh of them spilling over the cups. Jim’s mouth attaches to one of them, suckling at the skin harshly enough to leave a Jim shaped bruise behind.
He groans out a pained sound as he finally bottoms out in your tight hole, his heavy balls sitting against your ass. “You ok baby?” He checks on you. “Mhm. Faster now daddy.” He bites his bottom lip and groans again as he pulls halfway out and pushes back in faster, harsher. Your ankles cross behind him, under his buttcheeks as his hands hold your thighs tightly to keep you steady. “So-so tight baby. You like how daddy’s cock feels? Huh?” Jim asks through gritted teeth. You smile at his growing confidence before letting your head lull back and eyes close. “Yes daddy, your big cock feels so good. Can barely fit it all.”
Jim’s body leans over yours, your chests meeting each other’s. He sets a rough pace, quickly pistoning into your pussy like a man starved. The wet squelch sounds of him abusing your hole and Jim’s short clipped breaths fill your ears as you let a high pitched moan escape from deep in your throat. The head of his cock is so deep inside you, hitting that spot that your fingers can never reach. One of his hands comes up between you, finding your puffy clit with his fingertips, pressing and circling it softly but fast. “Oh my g- daddy that feels so good don’t stop!” You say louder than you probably should.
He has a thin sheen of sweat on his body, chest shimmering with droplets, hair sticking to his forehead. His hand pauses his movements on your sensitive button to reach up and pull at your bra straps, moving them down your arms until your breasts spring free. Your nipples hard and pointing at him, his hands grasp them roughly, feeling the pebbled bud under his palm.
“I love how your tits bounce baby, look at them.” He says, out of breath. Your eyes are closed, feeling your orgasm creeping up on you, thighs shaking and walls of your pussy fluttering as you feel the muscles deep within you constrict. He sucks in another breath, “fuck baby, you’re getting even tighter.” You grab his hand and return it to your clit, “Need you here again.” you demand. “Yes ma’am.” He says, enjoying being bossed around.
He rubs your clit again, fast and sloppy, his fingers slipping on and off of it because of all the slick covering your entrance. His other hand is holding the back of your neck, forcing your eyes to meet his, foreheads resting against each other’s. His movements are getting sloppier, stuttering as he goes in and pulls out. His pink cheeks are red with effort, chest turning pink too. “Mmm’gonna cum soon daddy!” He smiles, nodding in agreement.
You hear the door handle rustling. You both look over at it but don’t slow down, too close to stop now. “Keep going.” you whisper “please daddy.” He does, wrapping his big hands on the soft sides of your lower back, fingertips resting on your dimples. He holds you firm and still, fucking into you relentlessly. You feel the tight pull inside you pulling further and further, every molecule buzzing with the sensation that’s building. Jim falls into your shoulder, mouth sucking at your neck as his quiet moans and pants get higher pitched. “Jim! Are you in there?” You hear Dwight’s voice call.
“Fucking ass-mhpm” he groans. “M’gonna cum beautiful, and I don’t think I can pull out, can I come inside? Please?” “Yes daddy, fill me deep with your cum.” You say as you reach the peak of your pleasure, orgasm hitting you and making your vision blur and mind get hazy. You feel Jim collapse into you, moan getting lost in your hair as he tries to stay quiet. Jim’s cock twitches as he empties his load deep inside of you. The door handle jiggles a few more times, “I’m going to get my emergency keys!” Dwight threatens. You meet each other’s eyes, panicked, Jim kissing your lips quickly before pulling out of you and bending down to pull up his boxers and pants, throwing his shirt on while you get redressed also. Thankfully, most of your clothes were just pushed up and out of the way, never really taken off. You slip back into your heels, both of you smiling at each other and giggling as you smooth your disheveled hair and run your fingers over any wrinkles in your clothes.
“Fuck.” Jim exhales a big sigh, “That was incredible. Thank you.” He says as he starts to head to the door, “I’m gonna kill Dwight.” He slips out to go find him. You give him a 2 minute head start, grabbing the post-its that you originally came in for off the shelf. As you’re about to leave, something catches your eye. Your lacy panties are still sitting on the desk. You grab them, stuffing them in the pocket of your skirt.
When you go back to your desk, you pass Jim and Dwight arguing. “Well why did you have the door locked? That’s a safety hazard. I should tell Michael!” “I told you, I must’ve locked it by mistake, you’re overreacting, as usual.” You feel kind of guilty as you sit in your chair, trying to remember what task you were doing before you left.
A few minutes later, Jim comes over to lean against the edge of your desk, arms crossed over his chest. You meet his eyes with worry, fingers nervously fiddling with each other. “Do you think he knows?” “Dwight?” Jim sucked his teeth, “Nah, he’s paranoid but he’d never think about that.” “What if he does? What if he figures out what we did?” You ask panicked. “Aw baby,” his says softly, hand coming out to caress your cheek before dropping back down to his side. “If he figures out what we did, then I’m so fired.” Your eyes widen as he laughs at you. “It’d be worth it though.” He leans close to your face. “So you grabbed your panties right?” You nod slowly, hand tracing over them in your pocket.
He puts his palm out in front of you. “Hand ‘em over y/n. I’m confiscating those for further investigating. The case of the locked supply closet door. What ever could’ve happened in there?”

Uptight – Jim Halpert
This is just a little cutesy one-shot with our favorite golden retriever: Jim Halpert. I think he needs more writings done with readers or even Pam. Honestly, it would just be fun to read about him more. I kinda wanna do a part 2 on this... idk... I hope you like it!!
Tumblr media
Everyone knew Jim Halpert. Jim Halpert knew everyone well enough. He talked to people, smiled and laughed with them, and pranked stuck up asses.
Well… except you…
You were uptight, in a work way. You never slacked off, only took off when you were sick. Which was never.
You sat with Jim and Dwight, usually typing and helping clients set up their paper orders.
Jim thought you were beautiful. So average, so basic, so perfect. Sometimes, he would wonder to himself, as he glanced at you, how different would you act outside of work?
His small friendly crush was a secret to everyone, especially you. Jim knew I’d you found out, his life, with you, would be over. Forever.
Today was a normal day in the office— you working your ass off while Jim annoyed Dwight a little by talking louder than usual.
It annoyed you as well, but you didn’t say anything.
“Anyways” Jim said to nobody on the phone, “I cannot believe that that happened!” He half yelled, making you sigh.
Jim glanced at you, his face falling. You were annoyed. He could tell by the cute frown on your face and the face you were chewing your gum a bit harsher then normal.
“I have to get back to you,” he said quietly, glancing away, “bye,”
Although it was a fake call, he set the phone down.
Glancing over at you, seeing that you were already staring back at him, made his heart flutter softly.
“Thanks,” was all you said to him, the first thing you said to him since yesterday, and soon, the receiver was up to your ear from an incoming call.
Jim felt his heart warm at your cold statement. You were like a cat, he was like a dog. How funny.
——
The rest of the day went by smoothly, in your opinion. The room had finally been put at a comfortable temperature, since some people liked it colder than others.
You looked at the clock and hummed. Exactly five, so you got up and grabbed your old red leather purse and the cardigan you brought.
Without saying goodbye, you pushed in your chair and left the office, hearing scrapes from other people’s desk chairs as they left.
Leaving the reception, when you stepped out the rain that was forecasted earlier had come ten times harder than told in the weather news this morning.
Your umbrella was in your car, which was across the street.
“Oh my gosh…” you whispered angrily to yourself, watching the cloud.
Jim walked out a few seconds behind you, seeing that you were trying to drape your favorite cardigan over your head, now looking rather annoyed.
He could help but smile, seeing he could be the knight in shining armor.
“You want me to walk you?” Jim said to your right. You looked up slightly to see the sweet smile of Jim Halpert, holding a black umbrella in between the two of you.
You hummed, looking down to hide a smile. “Yes, please,” you whispered shamefully, “I didn’t know it was going to rain this hard…”
Jim laughed. “Nor did I. This is Michael’s umbrella,”
You gasped, your eyebrows furrowing. “Jim!” You said, about to tell him off.
With the happiest laugh you heard, Jim started chuckling, showing off his cute lopsided smile.
A warmth bubbled in your stomach, your heart beating ever so much faster.
“I’m just joking,” he said cheekily, “let’s go,”
The two walked in silence, you blushing like mad, Jim smiling like a goon. It was cute for the cameras to record.
Michael watched through the blinds with the cameras, sighing.
“Office romance: the sweetest kind of romance, in my opinion."

Can we get a Jim Halpert x short!gn!reader who is just enamored with how much Taller Jim is than them. Like sometimes when they’re trying to reach up for something he suddenly just lefts them up so they can grab it, or if someone is bothering them he uses his hight to be intimating, and they just swoon. <3
Summary: Being the shortest person at Dunder Mifflin comes with a lot of problems- one namely being your boss, Michael Scott, who thinks he must be the newest and brightest comedian of their century. Spoiler alert: He’s really not. Warnings: short jokes (beware),  A/N: So i’ve been called short maybe once or twice, but to be completely honest I’m literally at the ‘average’ mark on the scale so i’m just here, existing in neither shortness nor tallness. However, i’ve always heard the ‘short jokes’ are unending so I figured I’d base it on that? Sorry i know they’re annoying, but hopefully Jim’s sweetness makes up for it
Tumblr media
“Aha! There they are!” Michael calls out just as you enter, and you feel a deep sense of regret begin billowing into your stomach. “Winner of the shortest person award!” Michael’s laughter was boisterous, making you want to cringe away from him and just make it to your desk. Just make it there, at the very least. You did literally just walk into work, you haven’t even set your briefcase down yet. Michael thankfully jumps away from you, approaching accounting. “I’m surprised you’re not starting a real cat fight Angela, with how Y/N over there stole your special office title!”
“My official title is ‘Accountant,’ Michael,” Angela reminds him in a wary voice, huffing her displeasure at being spoken to. Michael just laughs and begins shrugging his shoulder against Angela’s own as if they shared a common joke. Angela just looks on in disgust as Michael continues on.
“Catfight, get it? ‘Cause you’re the cat lady!” Angela only scoffs and Michael continues his boisterous laugh, turning and making his way back to his office.
“Michael, don’t forget,” Pam calls out behind you as you place your bag onto your desk, the solo desk in the Quality Assurance position at Dunder Mifflin. You turn to watch this interaction, Pam looking frustrated as she shakes a wad of papers at the man. “You have that appointment with corporate in-”
“Don’t tell me what I do and don’t have Pam, god!” Michael pushes the wad of papers away and storms into his office, and you still can’t for the life of you figure out how Michael can switch between emotions so quickly. Your eyes scan the room- mostly the sales department- and wonder about where half of the team had wandered off to. Stanley remained sitting at his desk, but it seemed as if the rest of them had disappeared. You hear a quick ‘Psst!’ and turn to lock eyes with Pam, making your way over at a wave from her.
“Michael came out here before you got here, said something about a massive sale that he needed all of his sales associates to go on.” Pam stage-whispered over to you, and you nod along slowly.
“Ah, that makes sense-”
“So, yeah, that’s where Jim is.”
“Pam-” You start, looking around nervously before skirting around her desk to see her more eye-to-eye without having to stand on your toes. “Shush up! I told you that in confidence!” You watch Pam giggle, placing a hand to her mouth as she does.
“Oh I know,” Pam nods with wide eyes, leaning against her desk faux-casually as she watches you. “Just like Jim told me in confidence that-”
“What’s a couple of short stacks doing back behind this huge desk?” Jim’s voice emanates suddenly from behind you and you jump, turning with wide eyes toward him. He seems to be locking eyes with Pam, who giggles once more with her hand covering her mouth. You couldn’t quite translate Jim’s look to her, but it held some sort of meaning you were sure.
“Oh! Hey Jim! I thought you had that sales thing?” Jim raises an eyebrow toward you, crossing his arms with a smirk.
“I did but then I coughed at Dwight and got out of it. Figured they had enough people as is- but the real question here is: How did you know about the sales call? You weren’t in here when Michael announced it.”
“Watching for me, Jim?” You tease, circling the desk and making your way back to your own. Jim quickly skirted around the desk, following behind you.
“Well, yeah, obviously. You’re so tiny I have to know where you are so I don’t trip over you.” You groan at yet another short joke, rolling your eyes and turning to look at him with an unimpressed look. “But you didn’t answer my question.”
“Pam told me where you- where all the sales associates went.”
“Asking after me, Y/L/N?” You scoff loudly, turning to lean yourself against your desk, crossing your arms up at Jim.
“Pam volunteered the information, thank you very much.” You look up into Jim’s eyes and can’t help but feel shrouded by his form. He takes another step closer, pushing you over slightly to lean against your desk himself, and hunching toward you whether he realized it or not. He acted as a sort of shield from the rest of the office, which some days you definitely felt like you needed.
“And why would Pam do something like that?” Jim’s voice was quieter like he was accounting for the new distance- or lack thereof. You stare into his hazel eyes, swallowing roughly. You couldn’t help but feel safe in the shield of comfort that he provided.
“Perhaps because half of the room’s occupants were not seated at their usual desks, which is a rather odd occurrence for a day at work.” You turn, grabbing a random handful of papers and tapping them on your desk. “Speaking of, isn’t that something you should be doing?” Jim laughs, pushing himself to stand from your desk before turning and saluting at you, walking backwards back to his own desk.
“Touche, Y/N!”
“Watch where you’re going!” You didn’t mean to sound too worried as you called it out, but Jim just chuckled, shrugging toward you.
“Why? I’m already keeping my eye on one safety hazard.”
“Yes, because I’m so short, ha ha.”

Coffee.
That’s what you needed today was coffee. Perhaps multiple cups to get through this shitshow of a day. After Michael’s brilliant start to the day with the short jokes, it seemed he had retired to his room solely to come up with more jokes to torture you with. You weren’t sure why it was your turn to take all of Michael’s attention, but you were ready to throw in the towel and leave early for the day already. You could just start over tomorrow morning, no harm no foul! Except then Michael would cry because he didn’t think you liked his jokes- which you don’t- and then you’d have to deal with consoling him for a solid hour before he eventually yelled that he didn’t need pity, and you would respond that it’s not pity- which it was- and spend another hour consoling him of that as well. You would know- it’s happened before.
And now you didn’t even have Jim around to curb the jokes or turn them into something that was actually funny. After your play-fight with Jim, he was then swiped away by Stanley- who apparently was the last one of the sales associates left only because he had his own sales call to go on. He had begged Jim to tag along, and of course the man agreed considering how nice he is. What wasn’t nice was leaving you alone with Michael when- well, just ever really. So if you look at it that way, it really all was Jim’s fault. Stupid Jim.
You shook your head, waking yourself from your daydream as you stared at the coffee pot, urging it to brew faster. It was already filled with half a pot, and you knew technically you should wait for the full pot to brew before pouring any but you really needed caffeine in your life immediately. You wandered over to the drainer by the sink to grab a cup, then hesitated as you realized there were no cups laying there. There were no dishes at all, actually, indicating someone actually came in here and took the time to put the dishes away. That’d normally be a good and nice thing, aside from the fact that you were too short to reach the cabinets above the counter where the mugs were all stored. Sighing, you turn to look for the step stool you usually keep around. (Technically it was the office’s step stool, but you were the only one that ever had to use it.)
It wasn’t where you left it, over to the side of the counter and next to the table. Looking around the room, you couldn’t spot it still. You checked the bathroom, thinking maybe it was in there- there had been a time or two it was moved in there either for use or for storage- but you couldn’t find it there either. You didn’t bother to check the other bathroom, just huffing to yourself and placing your hands on your hips. Glaring upward at the cabinets above the sink, you will the doors to open and a cup to float down by itself. Then when that didn’t work, you got to work trying to stand on your toes and reach up. The handle to the door was just out of your reach, but you should be able to swipe it open, maybe-
You startled at a large hand intercepting your own, swiping you out of the way and opening the door. You set yourself off of your tip-toes, flat-footed now only to turn and notice Jim pressing you in close to the kitchen counter as he reaches above you. He pulls down a mug- your favourite mug, no less- and places it on the counter beside you. You were able to turn around in place, but Jim only places his hands on the counter to either side of you, blocking you in.
“You should ask for help next time,” Jim whispers down to you, and looking up into his hazel eyes has your heart doing funny things. Maybe it’s the crush you have, maybe you’ve just developed some sort of heart-stuttering problem that you’d need to get checked out, but with Jim’s proximity, you couldn’t really think straight to debate either at the moment. You bit your lip, glancing at your cup and back up to him before finally finding your voice.
“I had that perfectly fine-”
“You couldn’t even reach the door, Y/L/N.”
“Well, I’ll have you know I was trying to get two cups, so,” You were just about to turn when Jim lifted his gaze finally. You felt like you could finally breathe- for the one whole second it took for Jim to lean forward into your space to reach above your head. He pulled down another mug to set on the counter, and you pull in a deep breath full of his scent that only serves to make you dizzier. You lift your gaze to him again, shaking your head. “No, I just meant-”
“What, three cups?”
“Maybe,” You mumble out, turning to face the kitchen counter again. You reach up to try your own hand- you would not be two-upped by him- and it’s an even worse predicament than before. At least with the door handle you had even a chance, and right now you couldn’t even reach to touch the bottom of the cupboard. Attempting to stretch yourself further, already on your tip-toes, you were just about to give up when you felt two large hands grab right under your armpits. They heave you up, and suddenly you’re at a height that you’d never really seen this room at before. Quickly reaching forward, you take two more mugs into your hands before the hands slowly set you back down on your feet.
‘Holy hells, how strong is he?’ You think to yourself, turning to lift your gaze back up to Jim. He was smiling, likely on the verge of laughter, though he had yet to. You could feel your face heating up and knew that blush was lighting up your face. What were you supposed to do now? Jim just picked you up, how do you move on from that?
“Four cups?” Jim questions you as he reaches forward to one of the new ones you had grabbed, taking it from your hand to turn it over in his own. He probably chose to grab that one as it was the one you had seen him use the most often, you figured it might be his favourite. You hoped so at least, considering he was able to grab your favourite after just one try.
“Three,” You admit quietly, turning to watch the last of the coffee brew into the pot, “I grabbed an extra in case you wanted some.” Jim’s head shot up to look at you, and you tilted your head in confusion at the reaction. His eyes were wide, and if you didn’t know any better you would’ve said a slight blush was lighting up his own cheeks now. But why would offering him a cup of coffee make him embarrassed? “That’s only if you want some, of course.”
“I do!” He insisted, placing the cup down and spinning it slowly with one hand, staring at you the entire time. You got a little squirmy, reaching out to heft the large coffee pot and begin pouring it into your three cups. “Did you-” You glance briefly up at Jim- who was biting his lip by the gods is he trying to kill you?- before looking quickly back at your task so as to not spill any coffee. “Did you know this was my favourite cup?”
“Yeah,” You replied easily, watching his fingers stop spinning the cup right as you answer. “That’s why I grabbed that one.” You motion the pot over to his cup, watching him jump slightly before sliding his cup over toward you. You pour the coffee before replacing the pot back where it goes. You begin the process of adding sugar and creamer to the cups, sighing softly.
“So, why three cups? You being generous to someone else out there?”
“Nope,” You pop your mouth on the word, smirking up toward Jim before resuming your objective. “I just figured that the minimum amount of coffee I need to complete this day would be three cups, so I’m planning accordingly.” You hear Jim chuckle, smiling softly to yourself and beginning to add the sugar and creamer to Jim’s own- less than you like in yours, but that’s how he normally took it.
“Is that right? Did something happen that’s exhausting you today?”
“Just Michael and his dumb short jokes.”
“Ah,” Jim breathes out, leaning his hip against the counter and looking over his shoulder toward Michael’s office. “Did he do the old ‘appreciate the little things’ one?”
“Followed by a big hug, yep,” You sigh, taking one of the cups and scalding your mouth to take a drink of it. “Had to practically push him off of me.”
“And the miniature golf one?”
“‘Do you just call it regular golf?’” You repeat Michael’s joke from earlier, deepening your voice to mock him. Sighing, you take another large gulp and wince at the temperature. Jim reaches forward, seemingly unconsciously, and slowly lowers your cup to the counter, pushing it away from you. You wonder if he realized you were burning your tongue on it.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. Sounds like a rough day if he’s going all out.”
“Oh, absolutely. He also tried out a new one! ‘Sometimes when I look at short people, I wonder if they’re able to reach their goals!’” You turn at this, huffing out an aggravated breath. You had meant to tell this one as a joke, but just as it had hit you off guard before, it was hitting you again. You tried to keep from tearing up, but really- who wanted to work as Quality Assurance for a paper company? Obviously, you haven’t been able to reach your goals and Michael just unwittingly mocked you for that.
“Hey, hey,” Jim began, reaching an arm out to place against your upper arm, noticing how fragile you suddenly became. “That was uncalled for,” Jim agreed, stepping closer to you to tower over you once more, “I’m sure Michael didn’t mean for it to be that bad, he’s just trying to think up different short puns.” He patted your arm, squeezing it once before continuing, “You know, I wouldn’t be surprised if he had to go to his office to look them up. I bet he didn’t even come up with it on his own.”
You laugh blearily, raising a hand to wipe away a tear that had yet to fall, but almost did. Jim began rubbing your arm up and down, and you lifted your coffee cup once more to take a big gulp. You hear the door to the room open, hoping it wasn’t who you thought it was.
“Oh, there you are!” You hold back a groan at the sound of Michael’s voice, closing your eyes to try and rein in your feelings. “Hey, I have a good one! What do you call it when a short person says goodbye?” You can hear Michael’s excitement behind you, and while normally you’d feel bad for ruining that sort of happiness, you just really weren’t in the mood for it right now. “Y/N, hey! What do you call it when you say goodbye!” He taps on your shoulder, and you finally turn to look at him with your eyebrows raised.
“Michael,” Jim tries to inject, raising a hand between the two of you. Michael, too excited to stop, jumps up and down before he finally bursts out laughing, his words jumbled and almost unrecognizable.
“A microwave! Get it! Micro!” He laughs again, and you try to find any semblance of care to keep this job, anything to get you to smile at Michael and move on like you usually do. That’s when Jim steps in front of you, moving closer to Michael. You gulp, his whole body blocking your boss from you, and you slowly realize that Jim was backing Michael up to the wall, towering over him very specifically.
“What about me, Michael?” Jim takes another step forward, Michael stumbling on a backwards step. “Have any tall jokes for me?”
“But, tall jokes-”
“Michael,” Jim’s voice lowered, and while you couldn’t see his face you could almost hear how serious it must’ve looked. Michael scurries out from next to Jim, hurrying over to the door. He clears his throat, throwing an undisguised fearful look toward Jim before straightening his suit coat and turning to leave the room.
There was something about that- maybe Jim using his height for you or even defending you from someone you were obviously having problems with- that made you suck in a breath. You knew you were blushing before, but your face felt like an inferno now. As Jim turns to look at you with an apprehensive look, you didn’t know what your own face was projecting at this point. All you kept thinking was that scene, Jim towering over Michael and chasing him away. Jim and his big body and big hands and-
A hand was being waved in your face and you jumped, widening your eyes further and drawing your gaze upward to meet with Jim. He was smiling, laughing it seemed, and finally crossed his arms. “I seemed to lose you there for a second, you alright?”
“Yeah- yes, I’m fine.” You could hear the breathless tone to your voice and cursed inwardly, turning to quickly grab your cup of coffee and drain the rest of what was in the cup. Jim raised his eyebrows at this, laughing again as you place your mug into the sink and grab the second one.
“No, but really, are you okay? Michael has some pretty shitty timing.” Timing, right. You were talking to him about something. What were you talking about? You met Jim’s gaze again and took another drink, hoping to buy time. He only laughs, reaching for his own cup and mirroring you, taking his own sip. His eyes dart briefly down to his cup before raising back to you, something in him softening at the taste.
“I’m fine. Really. Thank you for that, by the way.”
“Of course,” Jim answers right away, smiling and holding his mug close to his chest. “If only I had been here the rest of the day, I would’ve been able to help out before it got too bad.”
“You know,” You were surprised you finally were able to find your voice, taking another drink from your coffee just to keep him in suspense. “I’m now wondering if he ran to his office to start looking up tall jokes now.” Jim groaned playfully, rolling his eyes and leaning a hip against the counter. “‘How’s the weather up there?’ And whatnot, you know?”
“Oh, I know, “ Jim insists, causing you to bubble up with laughter once more. “I think his most recent one was, ‘What’s the difference between a clown and a tall person?’” You raise your eyebrows, taking a drink from your coffee. He smirks, continuing on, “Their shoe store.” You huff a smile laugh, shaking your head.
“That’s horrible.”
“I didn’t mind it that much,” Jim replies with a shrug, watching your face. You wonder why you’re being scrutinized so closely, until he finishes his sentence, “I mean, you know what they say about big feet.” You choke on your coffee, turning and coughing away from Jim. Your eyes were wide, running that sentence through your head. You could swear that you’ve never blushed this often in your entire life, and yet your face heats up once more to its familiar warmth and you aren’t sure what you’re supposed to do with your hands. Placing your now empty second mug into the sink, you take hold of your last one and fake salute toward Jim.
“Alright! And with that, I am off!” You hear Jim laughing loudly behind you, shaking your head and pressing the back of your hand to your cheek. You turn and call back into the room, “To do work! Like we’re supposed to be doing!” The door closes on Jim’s laughter, and you hurry to make it back to your desk. No one seems bothered by your commotion aside from Pam, who just looks at you with a smile and a head tilt. You just shake your head in response, finding refuge at your desk.

“So, drinks tonight?”
“Yeah, drinks sound great!”
“Are we going to-”
“Of course!”
“Hey, Y/N!” You turn your head at your name, eyeing the group of coworkers congregating at the glass doors as they all take turns putting on their jackets. It was Phyllis who called your name, and you tried to turn your brain back on enough to pay attention. After all, work is over now, you shouldn’t need to use your brain anymore. That just sounded exhausting.
“Yeah?”
“Are you coming?” At that you tilt your head, and Phyllis smiles at you kindly, “Everyone is going out for drinks.”
“Oh,” You consider it, looking at the group of them before nodding, your smile growing. “Sure! That sounds fun!”
“Nope!” You jump at the loud sound of Michael’s voice, turning to look at him with wide eyes. He approaches you and hunches down to look you in the eye- completely unnecessarily. “You can’t come!” He stands again, holding a hand above your head, “You must be this tall to ride this ride! Sorry, gotta be this tall to have a drink with the lads!” He laughs loudly, turning to usher everyone out of the building. You stand there gaping, then turn to look at Phyllis, who in turn looked horrified.
“Oh, Y/N, that was-” She huffs, “You’re still allowed to come you know.”
“No, that’s okay Phyllis,” You began, sighing and glaring at the back of Michael’s head. “I don’t think I’d have much fun with him around anyway.”
“Well, since you’re free,” You startle again, huffing when you turn around and come face-to-face with Jim. Well, face-to-chest, but you’re not here to make fun of your own height.
“Jim! You scared me.” You playfully glare at him, finishing up packing up your desk. Phyllis, unnoticed, smiled at the two of you before leaving.
“As I was saying,” Jim continues, circling around to stand right next to you. You raise your eyes to him once more, raising an unimpressed eyebrow. When he takes your hand, your eyebrow immediately falls, and you drop your gaze to look at the sight of his fingers mixing with yours. “Since you’re free tonight, maybe we could go get a drink ourselves?” You raise your surprised gaze to Jim, unsure what to say as he finally continues in a lowered and deeper voice, “Just us?”
“Jim,” You begin, his name more of an exhale than really spoken, “What are you- like a date?”
“I know our size difference is so vast,” Jim playfully insists, pulling your hand twice with his own before tangling your fingers together, “But somehow I think we can push past it.”
“So, a-”
“Yes, a date,” Jim clears up with a laugh, reaching his other hand to place against your cheek. “I promise I won’t take you to a giant’s bar.” You laugh, shaking your head.
“I better be able to fit on the stools.” His smile widens, using your hands to pull you in closer.
“Is that a-”
“That’s a yes, yeah,” You agreed easily, attempting to stand on your toes to reach up toward him. Luckily, at the same moment, Jim leaned down and your lips finally met. Jim’s hand slides from your cheek to the back of your head, pulling you in closer and you couldn’t help but melt against him. When your kiss finally breaks and he straightens back up, you pout up at him. He chuckles, shaking his head with a soft look.
“A kiss like that and all I get is a pout? I must be off my game.” You laugh, playfully hitting his chest before huffing.
“Not that, the kiss was amazing. It’s just,” You playfully glare up at him, taking hold of his tie, “You’re too tall. I can’t just surprise you with a kiss, you have to lean all the way down here just for it to happen!” Jim laughs, sliding his head from the back of your head down to your back while you spoke and pulling you in closer.
“Well, that just sounds like quitters talk.”
“You’re on then, Halpert.” So, maybe today wasn’t the worst day.

puppy dog eyes won’t work this time…

(warnings. none. purely fluff!)
“No, Y/N we’re not going to that stupid Marvel comic convention! We do it every year.” Jim spoke to his wife as they walked into their job this morning.
Y/N and Jim met at their job eight years ago when she started out as a sales rep. It was her first big girl corporate job and she was nervous but thanks to Jim, she felt comfortable working there.
“But baby, I thought you loved the comic convention!” She whined quietly as she sat her purse down on her chair. Jim shook his head smirking a bit but still trying to stay firm.
“No, that’s you that loves those comic cons.” He rebutted. Y/N pouted as she shrugged sadly taking a seat deciding to leave the subject for right now.
All throughout the day, Y/N kept begging Jim to take her to the comic con. From the emails to the hint dropping, she couldn’t stop. She was determined to win this battle one way or another.
Speaking of the Halpert wife, she sat at her desk that was placed next to her husband’s. She glanced over to her husband who was looking at something on his computer, most likely writing an email, she smiled to herself as she softly kicked him trying to get his attention.
Once he looked up, she smirked at him then gave him the best puppy dog eyes she could. Jim looked at her with a face, an all knowing one.
“Nope, nu-uh. Puppy dog eyes aren’t gonna work this time.”

Michael called an "end-of-day" meeting to, which he had been trying to make a regular thing for a few days now, in order to talk about, well, whatever he wanted. Currently, he was saying something about the Halloween party coming up. It was hard to focus with the chairs being so close together, it made the small "meeting room" kind of hot and stuffy. Either that or the fact that Jim's hand was brushing your thigh, his shoe inching your pant leg up slowly, then letting it drop back down. You couldn't tell if he was doing it on purpose, or if he was messing around.
He had been doing this for weeks now, and you never had the courage to tell him to either stop or take him into the bathroom and have him right then and there. It started with him "accidentally" bumping into you and grabbing your hips to steady himself, or grazing your hand as he walked by. At first you made the excuse that it was a small office, he had a desk right next to yours, and even that he was just clumsy. Then he started to be more touchy. He would put his arm around your shoulder when you guys were talking to people. He played it off as a "friendly gesture", but you knew it wasn't when his hand would graze the side of your breasts, or play with your hair, tugging every so often. It got to the point where you couldn't be around him without him touching you in some way. It wasn't like you didn't like it, in fact it turned you on. You just couldn't tell if he was messing with you.
Which brings you to now. His hand slowly inching to your inner-thigh, his shoe messing with your pant leg. You were focusing all your attention on not squirming in your seat. You didn't want to bring alert any of the other people in the very crowded room.
It wasn't until he removed all contact that you snapped back into focus, noticing everyone getting up from there chairs. You quickly got up, ready to get out of there, your body buzzing with arousal.
You were bending over your desk, logging out of your computer, when you felt a pair of hands on your waist. You gasped at the sudden contact and whipped around, meeting Jim face to face. By this point everyone was either gone, or heading out the door, the only one still there being Michael, who was in his office with the blinds closed.
"What are you doing?" You breathe out, barely able to look him in the eye.
"Saying hi. Do you... not... want me to say hi?" He asks, smirking, his eyes half-lidded.
You could barely breathe, his hands, still on your hips, were slowly making their way underneath your shirt, and up your waist. His soft, strong hands rubbing up and down your soft skin.
You finally get enough sense to do something, and reach up, grabbing his neck, pulling him down and forcing your lips together. He groans into your lips, moving you backwards until you bump against your desk. His tongue prods your lips and you immediately let him enter your tongues clashing against one another, teeth bumping each others. He bites your lip causing you to moan, muffled by his mouth pressed against yours. He moves his hands to your ass, about to help you jump onto the desk behind you when you both hear a thud coming from Michaels office.
You both immediately separate, realizing you could be caught at any moment. Your hands go to your shirt, pulling it back down and smoothing it down, while Jim's hands flatten his hair back down. Michael opens up the door to his office, grabbing his things, and leaves to get his coat.
He turns to the both of you and says, "Have a nice weekend you guys! Remember to get the cupcakes for the Halloween party Monday okay Jim?"
"Yeah, yeah. See you Monday!" Jim says, his gaze making its way back over to you.
Michael leaves, the door closing with a loud thud, and Jim's hands are immediately on you again. This time he grabs you, actually lifting you onto the desk, and immediately one of his hands goes to the button on your pants, the other going to grip your hair as he shoves his mouth against yours.
He breaks away from your lips for a moment, his warm breath fanning against your lips as he says, "Are you sure about this? It's fine if you don't want to, you know."
"I think I am going to go crazy if you stop now," You say, laughing softly.
He chuckles, diving back into your lips, his fingers wrapping around your hair as he unbuttons and unzips your pants. You take your hands off of his chest, where they were grabbing at his shirt, and slide your pants off, dropping them to the floor. His hands leave your body and go to undo his slacks, pulling them, along with his boxers, down to his knees, his hard length popping out and hitting his stomach. It takes everything in you not to groan as you wrap your fingers around it. It is girthy, making you unable to wrap your hand around it fully, and very lengthy. He pulls away from your mouth as you glide your thumb over his tip, spreading the precum dribbling down his shaft with your hand.
"Fuck, Y/N. You don't know how long I've thought about this," Jim moans in your ear.
You pick up the pace as you answer, "I bet about as long as you've been teasing me. If I had to guess, of course."
His laugh turns into moans as I rub my thumb across his tip again, moving his hands to your thighs. He moves his hands higher, until they are right where you want them. His fingers pull at your panties, pulling away from you for a moment to look you in the eyes.
"Are you-" You cut him off by pressing your mouth against his again.
"For the last time, yes. Yes I am sure. No I am not going to regret it. Now please touch me Jim," You say, clenching your thighs together, needing to relieve some of the pressure.
"Fine," He says, shoving you onto your back.
He pulls your panties off quickly, throwing them over his shoulder, and rubs his fingers through your slit. He groans at how wet you are. He spreads your wetness through your folds, stopping every so often to rub circles into your clit. You slap your hand to your mouth to muffle your moans.
Jim reaches his free hand up to pull your arm down, "Let me hear you, Sweetheart. Come on baby."
You whimper as he pushes a finger into you, slowly massaging your clit with his thumb. His long, slender finger reaches places inside of you that you could never reach on your own before. Your pussy squelches with wetness as he shoves another finger into you.
You look up at him, his eyes never tearing away from your wetness, seemingly hypnotized. He thrusts his fingers in and out of you faster, each time they come away soaked and glistening, before he shoves them back in again, curling them deep inside of you, hitting that spongey spot inside of you. You try to find something to grip on the flat surface of your desk, unable to find something to keep you grounded. Jim, noticing, grabs both of your wrists with his large hand and pins it to the desk above your head, inserting a third finger, with slight resistance, at the same time.
"So tight, baby. Gonna come on my fingers? Please come for me Sweetheart," He says, leaning down to kiss your face, your neck, your shoulders, as he thrusts his fingers faster and faster, his thumb continually rubbing your clit, the pressure overwhelming.
You moan a string of curses as your pussy clenches his fingers, the coil of pressure inside of you bursting. You try to clench your thighs closed, but he leans down, his shoulders keeping you from doing so.
He slowly stops moving his fingers inside you and takes them out, looking you in the eyes as he licks them clean. He groans like he hasn't ever tasted anything as delicious as you.
"Made a mess, didn't you?" He asks softly.
You nod, barely conscious enough to do that, still coming down from your high.
"Think you can do it again f'me? Hm?" He asks, bringing his hand down to pump his dick which is dripping with precum.
You nod again, "Mhm. I can do it Jim, promise."
He smiles down at you, "Ok pretty girl, let's see."
He pumps his cock a few more times before he slowly inserts it into you, a wet squelching sound emanating from your folds. He groans and his head falls backwards as he thrusts into you, the base of his dick meeting your hips. You moan loudly, straining against his hand holding your wrists to the desk. His other free hand grabs your right leg and pushes it back and out slightly, allowing his to thrust into you deeper and at a new angle.
"Fuck Jim, faster please," You moan out, your eyes beginning to become unfocused.
His thrusts become faster, rougher, the sounds of skin on skin echoes around the office. If anyone were to walk in there would be no hiding what the two of you were doing, no lying your way out of this one. That thought only made you clench harder around Jim, causing his hips to stutter.
"I'm so fucking close Y/N," He whimpers out between thrusts, taking his hand off your wrists in order to circle your clit again.
His thrusts became erratic, forcing you to grip his arm that was holding onto your thigh. You gripped the edge of the desk behind your head with your other hand to stop you from moving on the desk. Your vision went white as you came, your pussy clenching Jim's dick causing his hips to stutter, pulling out and coming on your soaked folds and thighs.
"Fuck. Fuck Y/N," Jim muttered as he slumps down in your office chair that was pulled out from your desk.
"Yeah... How the hell am I going to sit next to you Monday?" You ask, half joking.
"I guess we'll just have to do it again," He responds, smirking at you.

And… send.
You smile to yourself as you watch your email go through, the last little bit of work you had to do before the day was over and it was only barely noon. The rest of the work could be done Monday which means it was the perfect relax day… it also means your job is pretty sad when you can blow off full days of work but at the moment you didn’t care.
You push yourself out from your desk, spinning your chair around and quickly catching the eye of your boyfriend seated just to your right. Jim smiles behind his palm, watching you grab your coffee mug and stand. His eyes remain locked with yours as you move around him, and he tips his head back right in time for you to dip yours to kiss him. Your noses bump as you pull away with a silent giggle as not to disturb anyone who is actually working. Before you can leave, Jim hands you his coffee cup with a pleasing look and you roll your eyes before taking it.
Jim watches as you head to the kitchen, never letting his smile fade. You set the mugs on the counter, start the coffee and then turn to head to the restroom. The moment you were out of Jim’s sight, he leaps out of his chair and over to Pam’s desk.
Pam was just finishing an email of her own when Jim arrives, pushing a small velvet box behind her nameplate and glancing quickly around the room to make sure no one is looking. When she’s ready to talk to him, Jim opens the box before she can speak. She’s stunned as she stares at the beautiful engagement ring sitting inside.
Jim takes her shocked expression with a little bit of worry as he leans on her desk, hiding his fear behind his smile. “Wow, Jim,” Pam finally says as he glances to make sure the coast is clear and you were still in the restroom, “I mean, I’m honored but you do know I have a fiancé and you have a girlfriend, right?” Pam jokes,
Jim rolls his eyes. “Haha.” He fake laughs before focusing on the ring. “But seriously, what do you think?”
Pam can’t hide her smile any longer. “She’s gonna love it.”
“Yeah?”
“Yes!” She says a little louder than she or Jim wanted, but both were too excited to care. “Are you kidding me? This is going to look so beautiful on her finger. Have you thought about how you’re going to do it?”
He thought a lot about it. A lot. “Well, I was thinking about-“
“You’re proposing to Pam?” Kevin’s voice surprises everyone in the office as the man stands next to copier and Oscar, his mouth hanging open in shock and his previous conversation with Oscar having dropped.
As soon as Kevin’s words reach the ears of the rest of the office, work falls to the back of their minds. Kelly is the loudest, squealing as she drags Ryan away from his desk to look at the ring and Ryan has no choice but to follow. Meredith is right behind them with a low “nice” as she claps and by the time the three of them arrive at Pam’s desk, Phyllis is there too and Creed lurks in the back, much like Angela was doing over the partition between Reception and Accounting. All of them beg Jim to let them see the ring.
Jim is struggling to see over the masses as he worriedly watches the door to the kitchen to see if you left the bathroom. “No!” He tells them all, whispering and yet yelling as best as he could. “I’m not proposing to Pam, I’m proposing to Y/N.”
Bouts of ‘oh’s and ‘that makes sense’ come from each of his coworkers as Jim breathes out in relief. He looks to Pam who is shaking her head in apology to Jim and he returns the gesture.
To make Jim’s predicament worse, Michael steps out of his office. “What is going on here?” He puts his hands on his hips, glancing between his workers and yet focusing on Jim, whose back was still turned and, although he couldn’t see, face was scrunched up.
Creed spoke up first. “The tall guy got engaged.”
Michael takes a harsh breath. “To be married?”
Jim turns around, eyes wide. “No!” He says, making Michael’s brows furrow. “I mean, yes, but not yet- I haven’t, um…” He looks back to the door, knowing you should walk out any second. Michael hadn’t said anything yet, only staring at Jim and the ring in his hand. Jim was growing more anxious with each passing moment of silent.
Phyllis reaches out and places her hand gently on Jim’s back. “She’s going to love it.” Jim relaxes at Phyllis’ reassurance.
“Thank you, Phyllis,” He tells her with a small smile before clearing his throat and closing the ring box, slipping it into his back pocket, “now if everyone can do me a favor and keep their voices down, I’d appreciate it.”
Everyone listens to him, saying their final congrats and walks away, talking quietly about weddings and marriage and Jim hopes the conversation stops when you come around. Looking back at Michael, Jim stares back at him with a flat smile, waiting for his boss to do something but Michael just stands there. It isn’t until the doors to the kitchen open up and you walk out with two freshly made cups of coffee does Michael finally look away from Jim and towards you. Jim doesn’t realize what Michael is doing until he takes his first few steps.
“Michael!” Jim calls out and it catches your attention as you look up from your careful coffee walk to see your boss walking your way with almost wet eyes and a budding smile. His arms are around you quickly, making you stumble back a few steps with wide eyes. The coffee in Jim and your cups spill out a little, burning your hands as you hiss. Jim wasn’t long behind Michael and he grabs the cups from your hands and wipes as much of the coffee off your hands with his own.
You appreciate Jim’s actions, but your boss still clinging onto you confuses you more than anything. No one says anything, in fact, the entire office is watching, each with conflicting faces on whether they should help. You look between Jim’s slightly irritated face he is directing at Michael over to Pam who is sitting behind her desk with her face buried in her hands as she shakes her head. Nothing made any sense to you at the moment.
“I was gone for 5 minutes.” Michael doesn’t release you from his hold until you tap his shoulder. “Michael? Could you um, could you let me go?” He doesn’t. “Michael.”
“I’m sorry.” He sounds like he was crying. “I’m sorry!” He finally pulls away and you learn he is actually crying. “I’m just really excited!”
“For… what?” You weren’t really sure whether you wanted to know.
Michael was about to speak again before Jim claps him over the shoulders and pulls him away from him. “Michael was just telling us about his plans for the weekend.”
Michael nods, going along with Jim’s idea. “Yup!” He cheers. “I’ve got a date.” You raise your brows, not knowing what else to say. “A hot date. Super-hot. She’s super hot. Think Jan and then about a million times ho- A million times hotter-”
“Okay, Michael?” Jim interrupts, knowing Michael was going to ramble a bit more if he didn’t stop him. Michael does thankfully stop, clasping his mouth shut. “We’re going to get back to work.” Jim points over his shoulders towards the two of your desks. Michael lets you go, but not without a quick last hug to you and a slightly longer hug to Jim before he’s heading back into his office.
You meet Jim’s eyes with a curious smile, wondering what the hell the last few minutes were but Jim only smiles at you and glances down to your hands. “How’s your hands?” He mumbles, stepping a little closer and taking your hands in his. They had a slight burn to them from your coffee spill, but other than that, you were fine.
“They’ll be better once you tell me what was just happening.” Jim chuckles lightly before swinging one of his arms, with your hand still in his, over your shoulder to walk you back to your desk without an answer to your question. He pulls out your chair for you as you fall into it and once Jim is back in his desk, he throws a wink your way that makes your cheeks heat up before you finally get back to work, completely aware of the several glances Jim was throwing your way and yet, completely unaware of the glances from everyone else in the office.
---
“Tuna!” Jim’s eyes widen as he steps out of the bathroom to the sound of Andy calling him with an ear-to-ear grin. Andy was sitting at the table with Kevin, both of them sipping on their respective drinks as Andy starts singing, “Tuna. Tuuuna! Tuna, Tuna, Tuna, Tuuuunnaaaaa! Tu-“
“What is it, Andy?” Jim says louder than Andy’s singing as the man finally stops but his grin never falls.
“So, how are you going to propose to Lady Tuna?”
Jim opens the fridge as his face scrunches at Andy’s nickname for you. “Firstly, don’t call her that. And I don’t really know, I haven’t put much thought into it.” He has, but Andy and Kevin don’t really need to know that.
Andy chokes on his drink. “You haven’t thought about it?” He states loudly, slamming his cup back down on the table. “You haven’t thought about it?!” Wincing at his volume, Jim puts his finger to his lips, ushering his coworker to keep his voice down.
“But you really haven’t thought about it?” Kevin joins in the conversation. “I mean, you know you should have a plan before you propose, right?”
Jim shakes his head in resignation. “Yes, I do, Kev.” He closes the fridge without grabbing anything and throws a glance back out to the bullpen to see you sitting at your desk tapping away at your computer with what he can only describe as the cutest bored look on your face.
“Nervous about what she would say?” Andy watches Jim’s expressions closely before Jim pauses and slides into the seat.
“I know she’ll say yes, but it’s just-” Jim begins, tapping his fingers gently against the table. Realizing he has no idea what he was going to say next, he jumps out of his seat, rubbing a hand over his face as he starts to pace. “You know what, never mind, because there is no ‘but’ because she’s going to say yes.” He stops his pacing, looking back at you at your desk. She’s going to say yes, right? He thinks to himself.
Andy and Kevin move to stand behind him and they both put one of their hands on both of Jim’s shoulders. “She’s going to say yes.” Kevin tells him and Jim slowly smiles at his friends hyping him up.
You close out of the website on your computer as you sigh and look over to your boyfriend’s empty desk. Knowing he was in the bathroom, your eyes fluttered up briefly to the kitchen before they fall back down onto your computer. They don’t stay there long, however, because you realize as you had looked up, Jim, Andy, and Kevin were all staring at you. You look back up again, staring at the trio as Kevin and Andy scurry back to their seats, leaving only Jim still staring at you with one of the happiest smiles you’ve seen him wear in the office before.
---
There was still a half an hour left on the clock by the time you were finished packing up and you perch yourself on Jim’s desk as he finishes up a phone call to one of his clients. When he finishes, he hangs up the phone before standing up and situating himself between your legs. “Hey, you.” He whispers as he leans in for a kiss.
“Hi.” You say back before melting against his lips. When you separate, you tug on his tie a little, keeping him as close to you as you can.
Jim looks at your bag hidden in your seat as he chuckles lightly. “You’re packed up early.”
You hum, letting your head fall with a smile. “Yeah, I was hoping we might be able to get out of here early today.” Jim chuckles again, taking your hand in his as he plays gently with them. You let him do so for a moment before taking a deep breath. “So,” you begin, and Jim meets your eyes, waiting for you to continue your thought, “Are you going to tell me why you and everyone in this office has been acting really weird today?”
Jim furrows his brows, scratching his head in an act. “Have I- Have people been acting weird?” He throws annoyed glances around the room as you hum.
“Yeah. You know, Michael has been looking at me a lot through his window shades- actually, he’s doing it right now.” Jim turns around to see Michael standing against his window and doing exactly as you described, staring at the two of you intensely. As soon as Jim looks at him, he lets go of his shades, hiding his presence, but it wasn’t hard to tell he was still there. “Kelly also has been talking non-stop about how good of a couple we are and how she’s excited for our future- which was then followed by Ryan hitting on me and saying ‘it’s not too late?’”, Jim nods, trying to keep his anger at his coworker hidden but he makes a mental note to kill Ryan later. You shake your head, entertained by Ryan thinking you would ever break up with Jim for him.
“Well,” Jim steps out from in front of you, moving to grab his own bag and sling it over his shoulder before grabbing yours and putting it over his, “shall we?” He reaches his hand out for you. You furrow your brows and look at your watch.
“We still have 28 more minutes?”
Jim just chuckles and pulls you off his desk, trying hard not to smile. He doesn’t say anything until he’s knocking on Michael’s door and pulling it open. “Michael?” He calls out and your boss picks his head up, his eyes widening when he sees the two of you. “We’re heading out.”
Michael claps, rising from his desk, which only confuses you more. “Let me get a look at you two.” Jim moves out of the doorway just barely as Michael looks you both over, and then once again, his eyes starts to water. He pushes past you both gently. “Everyone?” He calls out and you look to Jim who just stands there with a smile. “I want you all to take a good long look at these two beautiful sexy people-“
“Michael.” Jim sighs and Michael holds his hand up, telling Jim he knows it was wrong to say it.
“These two beautiful people in love and who’s facing the future like a train and they’re- and they’re standing on the tracks... of love and... um....” Michael pauses, looking at you and Jim as he tries to figure out what to say next.
“You done?” Jim asks and Michael nods. Jim claps him on the back before waving at the rest of the office. “Bye guys, see you Monday.” Everyone says goodbye back and he takes your hand, leading you out of the office and towards the elevator, but not without a smirk and a wink from Pam along the way.
“Jim, seriously,” You chuckle, bumping him in the arm with yours, “What was happening? What was wrong with everyone today?”
The elevator opens and Jim leads you inside. Before you can hit the button for the ground floor, Jim beats you to it, only he presses the button for the roof instead. He doesn’t look at you, instead he stares at the doors leading up to the roof, the exact place he, Pam, and everyone else who could spare their time spent their day. Everything was perfect, from the fairy lights fighting the darkening sky to light up with roof to the little sketches of you and Jim falling in love scattered all around that Pam had spent the day drawing.
The only thing left was for you to say yes.

"Jealous?"
Jim's voice resounded in Dwight's left ear, who raised the stick about to hit him for the scare it had given him, but, seeing the small smile that he had plastered on his face and that he seemed not to want to remove quickly, it just confused him. It was expected that Halpert would have tried to protect himself or get away from him, but he didn't do any of that and only moved his eyebrows in a suggestive way, making Schrute slightly annoyed by that, obviously not understanding the mood that his partner had with him.
"What?" Dwight asked in confusion, slowly lowering her arm and placing the cane on his desk, folding her arms again and fixing his gaze on the same spot he had been staring at for the last quarter of an hour. "Why would I be jealous? Be specific."
Jim sighed at Dwight's attempt to appear tough, for although he had been chatting with Pam throughout the party, he had been surprised to find that Schrute had been watching you from his desk for much longer than usual to do it and, for some reason they didn't understand, he hadn't approached you at all to congratulate you on the holidays as he had done every year; the whole office knew that you and Dwight had such a close relationship that you came to consider each other's best friends, they didn't even know how that was possible, but they decided that you were too charming and nice, and he couldn't take your cute girly charms.
"Well, because you haven't been able to be with (Y / N) all day and that's why you're in such a bad mood," Jim said, shrugging his shoulders and making his lips form a straight line, receiving a quick look from his partner. "I'm not saying it. It's what we all think because of how you try to pierce his head with your gaze, or that you wanted to disintegrate it."
"Don't be an idiot, of course, I don't want to disintegrate it and I haven't developed that ability to do it either," he murmured between light throat clearings so that he wouldn't be understood much, rather so that you wouldn't hear him, even if there was more than a meter between you and a cloud of music prevented you from hearing more than what those around you were saying.
"So if you're jealous," the chestnut-haired man affirmed, seeing how his companion turned abruptly towards him and looked at him with wide-open eyes, almost making him look like an owl. "What? It's true."
"I'm not jealous," Dwight denied with annoyance, feeling a shiver run down his entire spine and stop specifically at the nape of his neck, making the hairs in that area stand on end. "What makes you think in such a primitive way?"
"Because you've been kept away from her for the entire party," Halpert pointed out. "You always spend the day together but today I haven't seen you or shared lunch. Excuse me for saying it, but it's really weird and now everyone avoids you being with her because they're dancing,” he continued. "Why don't you come over and dance with her? Even I have, and she has told me that she was looking forward to sharing a dance with you."
"Yes, yes, of course," he said sarcastically, the one with glasses. "I haven't seen you guys together at the party, and I'm pretty sure she didn't say that."
Although Dwight greatly appreciated your company, to the point where he wanted to share every little achievement with you thanks to your way of accepting it with all its weirdness and nonsense, he knew that you couldn't just aspire to someone like him, who was already rather, but perhaps you deserved someone who had a more important position within the company, such as director, because, after seeing you sigh so many times and mention that you almost saw that position as unattainable for all employees, he worked tirelessly to get it, even having to betray Michael once just to impress you; you thought the way he tried to be a director was stupid and, although you gave him a good slap, you encouraged him to try to get that position in another way.
Dwight loved everything about you and even though he sounded too corny, he liked you a lot and just for being you. You had all the qualities to make someone like you and he fell for you.
And, going back to the same thing, precisely he hadn't told you his feelings for fear of rejection, for misreading the signs and looking like an idiot in front of you, and for fear that you would stop being her friend; he trusted very few people, his concerns were known only to his cousin Mose, and sometimes not even him, but with you, he was like an open book and could easily explain how the birth of one of his mares had been like how he could tell you how frustrated he felt when not getting the sale with a minor customer, but it was your way of listening to him and encouraging him that made him feel that way with you.
You were special and now, in your little red dress with white trim, you almost looked like a little angel to her.
Jim, as Dwight continued to watch you, could tell how he sighed wearily and his gaze drifted slowly to his restless hands.
"No, you can't do that!"
Angela's shout made the two vendors forget about the topic that was happening to focus on what was happening inside the meeting room and that is that, surprisingly, you found yourself under the mistletoe with Kelly, who was more than excited to share a kiss with you.
"Don't listen to Angela!" Michael exclaimed, pushing several of his employees away from him so he could leave the room. "I'm going for the camera, this must be immortalized!"
"Michael, wait," Jim stopped him suddenly, seeing how he looked at him with wide eyes urgently while his legs kept moving as if he were running. "What's happening?"
"Kelly and (Y/N) are going to kiss, and I refuse to let that not go down in Dunder Mifflin's history."
Both sellers looked at each other for a brief moment before submerging themselves among the small mass of people to be able to see the meeting that, although it had not been planned, had greatly pleased Michael; he knew that Angela was forbidden mistletoe, she didn't like to see people share kisses in public and she refused to let the same happen in the office, but when he had the opportunity, he hung several small clusters in the most popular places of the Office.
"Come on, Angela, it's just a kiss," Pam tried to calm her down, seeing her turn a strongly reddish tone because of her anger and embarrassment.
"I'd still put up with it if this happened between a man and a woman, but I refuse to let this happen," she said, pointing at you and Kelly.
You, although smiling and calm, couldn't help but be amused by Angela's reaction and, even though you had mentioned to Kelly that that wouldn't be the best choice for a kiss because she was in front of the Catholic, she didn't care much when she yelled that I was going to kiss you in front of the whole office. That, eventually, caused a stir among your colleagues, and quickly many had taken out their mobile phones to record what would happen in a few minutes.
"Angela, it's not a big deal," you spoke. "It will be something fast, you will not notice."
"I'm going to find out because I'll be present," she pointed out with some anger.
"Somebody covers his eyes, we're not going to make it any longer than it should."
Dwight couldn't believe what he had heard about you, and he hadn't expected it either, he hadn't even thought about the possibility that you liked women.
Many of the men in the office placed their large hands on Angela's face, trying to prevent her from seeing your quick kiss with Kelly and, although it was quiet and without any lewd element, everyone present cheered for the peak that you gave each other. You didn't mind kissing someone of your gender, you wouldn't be offended by something so silly, and Kelly was a super pretty girl who you liked a lot.
"It can't be, I haven't recorded it!" Michael exclaimed as he poked his head over Schrute's shoulder. "Jim, Dwight, did you record it?"
Dwight didn't fully hear anything his boss said as all his senses were focused on you and Kelly and how your cheeks had reacted to the kiss because as soon as he saw how red you both turned, he couldn't help but think that his only chance to be with you had been complete nonsense, nonsense. For a moment, he thought that you had only been nice to him, something usual in people, and you had no intention of exciting him to the point of making him think that maybe he had a chance to be with you in a romantic relationship, nor could he blame you for it that he liked you, and he couldn't help it because of how you were.
"Are you sure you're not jealous?"
Jim's question irritated him and, although nobody expected it, Dwight began to hit him hard with the stick that he had brought with him to punish him for suggesting such a thing.
Although you had been joking around, and everyone believed that Schrute had started hitting Halpert in a playful way as had happened on occasion, you couldn't help but think that there was something else in Dwight that had made him express himself that way. You knew him well, and judging from his slightly wrinkled nose and the way his body loomed over Jim, you could tell something had bothered him, something that Halpert had said had broken the salesman's patience.
Suddenly, Pam's slight jolt brought you back to reality, and even though she'd struck up an animated conversation with you about how the kiss had felt and how embarrassed Angela felt, you couldn't help but continue to stare at Dwight from behind a distance, observing how he did not enter the meeting room and that he went into the kitchen while walking very angry. You knew you had to talk to Dwight as soon as possible, find out what he had provoked to calm him down, so you quickly moved away from Beesly under an apology to follow your friend.
Dwight, once he got into the kitchen, threw his stick to the floor in anger, subsequently stepping on it as he tried to relieve the stress he felt about himself and the pain that had settled so deep in his chest. He had been with Angela a few years ago, they had both broken up, and he had felt really bad about how the breakup had happened, but that didn't compare to how he felt at the time.
"Dwight."
Your voice, calm and sweet as it sounded on any other day, he heard behind him and though he had no intention of turning around to face you, it was your small hand on his right that made him turn around to meet your concerned face. His dull eyes met your bright ones that, curious and sad, seemed to denote the concern you felt about how he had behaved with Jim.
His body was wrapped by your arms that, shorter than his, remained around his waist under a strong grip that made him stay even more still than when he had seen you.
"What happened to you?" You asked, moving away from him a little so you could look into his eyes. "Was it because of something Jim said to you? Because, if so, I can talk to him so he doesn't bother you."
"No," he denied quickly, moving his head from side to side to emphasize his response. "It's not entirely because of Jim."
"Okay," you murmured, a little confused by his response. "Jim has made you angry, but something else is bothering you. What is it?"
It was a bit strange for you that Dwight looked away from you, normally it was the other way around because of the intensity with which he looked at you, but you understood what he wanted to tell you when you met his eyes again, noticing a singular brightness that you had never seen before seen in it. It wasn't the light from the kitchen that had caused it, but a much more beautiful and sweet feeling than you could have imagined for a moment and, although you wanted to deny the possibility, you couldn't help but smile softly.
« It wasn't just Jim that bothered you, right? But it was also me », you thought.
Your hands, previously placed on his waist, were placed on his cheeks and, before he could react to move away or realize what you were about to do, you stood on your tiptoes so you could join your lips in a sweet and long kiss that ended the moment you noticed that you were not reciprocated. You didn't think much of it at the time you acted, figuring the problem was with you because maybe he liked you, but when you didn't notice a lip move coming from him, you worried you might have misread the signs.
"Dwight," you called when you saw how red the tip of his nose had turned and how wide his eyes were. "I'm sorry. I must have misunderstood you, right?"
Schrute lifted his head so he could look up at the ceiling, his eyes sweeping across the white expanse, until he met your eyes again with an expression of confusion at his frown.
"There is no mistletoe," he stated, now making you frown at him. Why do you kiss me if there is no mistletoe?
"Because I don't need an excuse to kiss you," you murmured. "I thought you were angry because of something Jim said to you and because you liked him and because he had kissed Kelly," you explained quickly, moving your hands in an attempt to emphasize your answer. "I thought that everything had come together, and that's why you had hit him, but I see I was wrong."
"What does that mean?" He asked, noticing how the palms of his hands were beginning to sweat from the nerves. "The excuse thing, what does it mean?"
Your little smile, sweet and affectionate, caused a flock of butterflies to be unleashed on him.
"You know perfectly well what that means," you murmured, reaching out to take his hands even if they were soaking wet.
The two of you, guided by the moment and the impulses of your respective hearts, leaned towards each other, placing your hands on each other's cheeks, before meeting in a little inexperienced kiss in which you tried to learn what the other needed. Your noses collided slightly and, between short laughs, you continued that Christmas kiss that you had expected so much from the other.
"They're adorable," Pam whispered as she peered through the cracks in the kitchen curtain at what was going on inside her.
"If you say it, it's because it has to be that way," Jim murmured, shrugging his shoulders, smiling gently as you and Dwight separated to hug each other.

Karen Filippelli x Reader
————————————————————————
Tumblr media
The office workers are celebrating the luau at the warehouse upon Michael’s return from Jamaica. It was his idea to have a luau today, although Angela, who is the head of the party planning committee, wasn’t happy about it because she didn’t have time to get some of the things Michael wanted.
You sat back quietly and observed your surroundings: Michael giving an older guy, Stanley, you believe, an alleged bonus that the salesman demanded, Dwight and Andy having a competition, Karen and the receptionist talking to each about God knows what. You were never really the social type, only when someone approaches you and strikes up a conversation. But lately, the majority of time a particular person initiating a conversation with you has been Karen. At first, it was a casual short talk, but recently you both became closer. You and Karen ate lunch together every day, whether it’s at your or her car, or at a restaurant nearby. You talked to each other every single day about anything and everything.
As time went on, your infatuation grew to a crush. You and Karen had been working together at the Stamford branch in Connecticut. You were happy when you and Karen were transferred to Scranton; you get to continue seeing her, and you can explore the new state. Even better if you and Karen do so together.
One problem.
She is dating the somewhat still new guy Jim Halpert.
You have to admit, you can understand why she chose him, because he is nice and very handsome, although terrible at Call of Duty. But even so, you were less than thrilled that she is with someone else, and possibly for the rest of her life. When you moved to Scranton, you noticed a chemistry between Jim and the receptionist, which made Karen a little suspicious. Even though you don’t really approve of Karen and Jim’s relationship, you were still concerned because she does deserve a best relationship with undivided attention. Hopefully one with the same gender. You, if we’re being really specific.
You were deep in thought and didn’t realize that Karen sat next to you on the couch until she spoke up.
“Hey, you okay?” You were snapped out of your thoughts by a familiar voice that you enjoyed hearing. You smiled as you looked up and saw that it was Karen.
“Yeah, I’m fine, how about yourself?”
“I’m alright. Well, actually, not really. Um, can we talk privately?” You nodded.
You walked together to a staircase, far away from where anyone might walk to, as they were occupied with the party and doing inventory for the warehouse. You sat together on the little bench and Karen took a deep breath.
“I don’t know if I really love Jim enough to be in the relationship much longer.” Your eyes widened as she spoke. You weren’t expecting to hear her doubting the relationship with your fellow coworker. You were beginning to accept the fact that she’ll end up with him.
“Seriously? He’s not mean to you, is he?”
Karen shook her head furiously. “No no no no, he’s not at all. On the contrary, actually, he’s a gentleman. But I don’t think he’s right for me. And plus, maybe I’m being paranoid, but I think he’s a little too close with that receptionist girl.”
You can’t disagree. They appear to have a lot of chemistry together. Unless you’re wrong and it could be a sibling type relationship. But a closeness at this caliber? There’s no denying it. But you can’t really hate the girl. She seems nice enough, but you don’t know her well enough, only through hi’s and good morning’s.
“Yeah, I can see that,” you nodded. Karen looked at you, then at a spot on the wall for a few seconds before looking back at you.
“Hey, um, (Y/N), would you, um… Would you… like to go out with me this weekend?” You swore you can see a hint of blush on her cheeks.
Without thinking, you nodded, a smile spreading on your face.
“I’d love to.”

February 25, 2005
Y/N clears her throat, crossing her legs as she sits in small, uncomfortable grey chair. In the background people are working at their desks, a man turns and glances at Y/N in the conference room with the crew. He turns back and makes eye contact with the camera, that was zoomed in on his reaction. He bites the inside of his cheek and goes back to his work, having a look on his face like he got caught doing something.
“What do I say?” Y/N asks, leaning forward towards the camera, then sitting back in the chair. “Oh, I started working at Dunder Mifflin about a year and a half ago? I’m the receptionist here. Boring, I know. I..sit in at meetings, uh, transfer clients. I also write stories! Sometimes, when I’m free. No-one has really seen them, except Jim.” Y/N looks down and fiddles with her bracelet. “Jim’s probably my best friend.” Y/N responds to the crew, the question of her relationship with the man coming up. She nods and smiles. “He’s the best salesmen I know. Everytime he makes a sale we air high five.” Y/N chuckles and smiles brightly at the camera.
“Caleb? He’s my boyfriend. He works in the warehouse. Helped me get this job.” Y/N nods, her smile faltering but a smirk staying on her face. “He’s great, we’ve been dating for...four years. He still has yet to pop the question but you know, we’re saving money, haha.” She smiles and chuckles. “Oh that’s it? Okay cool, uh, if you guys need anything don’t be afraid to come over to my desk and ask.” Y/N stands, and gives a small wave to the crew and camera before she exits the room.
“So, how was it?” Jim asks, leaning back in his chair, looking the woman up and down that was leaning up against his desk slowly, trying to find a trace of concern or outright disgust. Most of the employees at Dunder Mifflin, especially at the Scranton branch, were concerned with the idea of a documentary being filmed. Y/N seemed to like the idea. “It was fine, you just talk about yourself and your job.” She readjusted herself to now be sitting on Jim’s desk, legs dangling off. Y/N eyes the camera that was now standing near the two of them. This would take some getting used to. “So, Y/L/N, you want to go to Poor Richards tonight?” Jim asks, poking the top of her knee. Dwight perks his head up looking over at the two. “Shouldn’t you be working?” He asks, and Y/N rolls her eyes.
A ring was heard from reception, and Y/N hurried over to the phone after shrugging in Jim’s direction, picking it up. “Dunder Mifflin, this is Y/N. Yes, I’ll transfer you.” Y/N says into the phone, sitting back down in front of her computer monitor. “Dunder Mifflin, this Y/N.” She pressed the phone to her ear and her shoulder, writing on a sticky note ‘You mean, like a date?’ “Oh uhm,” The caller was asking to speak to Micheal, but he wasn’t in his office. “Where’d he go?” Y/N mouths to Jim, and he returns with a shrug. “Micheal isn’t here right now, may I take a message?” She asks, setting the separate sticky note to the side and grabbing another one to write down what the person on the other line needed. “Got it. Thank you!”
Y/N stood up and took both of the sticky notes, one to Micheal’s office, sticking it on his computer monitor, and walking over to Jim, placing the purple piece of paper on his shoulder. She would just joke with him out loud but didn’t want Dwight staring at them again. Jim looked over at Y/N, who was now back at her desk and lowered his eyes, a hand resting on his face. She let out a pretty peal of laughter, a pink tint on her cheeks. Their jokes is what got both of them through the day.
Tumblr media
“Y/N?” The crew had asked him how he felt about Y/N and her affect since working here. “She’s a great friend. Very easy to talk to..warm, energetic and positive.” Jim comments, biting his lower lip gently. “Why do you ask?”
At the stroke of 5p.m., Y/N stood up and took her coat off of the coat rack, finding some ways to stall to talk to Jim by stacking the post-it notes, putting the scattered paper clips in their rightful container, making sure her computer was properly turned off. After what seemed like an hour of judgement from other employees as they left (it was only about two minutes), Jim approached her. “I’m assuming your in?” He asks and Y/N smiles. “Hell yes. I haven’t gone out to Poor Richards with you in forever.” She says, stuffing her hands nervously in her coat pockets. “Wait, were going to Poor Richards?” Kelly calls back to them and Y/N’s eyes widen, realizing how loud she was. “Guys were going to Poor Richards!” Kelly called down the hall, earning a few cheers from the other employees.
“I love my coworkers.” Jim says, sighing, and clicking his tongue to his cheek. “But Y/N is the only one who understands the pain of group outings. It’s mainly one of the reasons why we do things with eachother, without the rest of the Scranton branch.”
Y/N and Jim laugh at the same time, the camera zooming in on Caleb as he enters the office right when the two of them were about to leave. “Hey, baby.” Y/N says, pressing a kiss to Calebs lips, his hands resting on her waist. Jim looks into the camera with a frown as he fiddled with his car keys. “So Jim and I were going to go to Poor Richards, if that’s okay with you?” Y/N asks, keeping her arms wrapped around his neck. “Oh, babe..I kinda wanted you to come home tonight, you know..the reasons why.” He grumbles and Y/N looks at the camera, Jim looking visibly flustered and uncomfortable in the background. “Uhh..I just- haven’t gone out with them in awhile.” Y/N separates from Caleb and he frowns. “Fine. You can. Love you.” Caleb says before placing a kiss on her forehead. “Take care of her, Halpert.” Caleb says and Jim nods. “Will do.” He says awkwardly, chuckling afterwards.
“Guess I’m all yours tonight.” Y/N giggles, walking down the stairwell, Jim not far behind her. “Haha, yeah..” He trails off and Y/N stops and looks up at him. It was tremendously cold in the stairwell, but it was their safe space. “Somethings wrong.” Y/N says and Jim shakes his head. “I know that face.” She retorts. “What face?” His eyebrows furrow as he looked in her direction. “The face were you think really hard about something, were your concerned.” She points out and Jim smirks. They really had memorized each other, like a book they had read multiple times. Other miscellaneous things they knew about eachother: Jim’s favorite pen color is blue. Y/N’s favorite yogurt flavor is strawberry.
“I’m just thinking about Caleb. Why didn’t he want to let you leave, besides..you know.” Jim mocked Caleb’s grumble, this made Y/N laugh. “I don’t know.” She says, continuing down the stairs but she frowns. “Sometimes I just don’t get him.” She confessed, and Jim’s face softened. The camera crew slips into a corner so it is out of view. Jim rolls his eyes and pushes the door open with his back. “Boys! Amirite?” He jokes, which made Y/N smile. Jim rushes over and opens Y/N’s door, to which she thanks him. The camera crew watches as the car drives away. “Do you think everyone else is already there?” Y/N asks and Jim shrugs, focusing on the road. “Thanks for taking me, by the way.” Y/N comments and Jim smiles. “No problem.”
After a couple of hours of hanging around the bar and Y/N getting hammered, the crew filming most of the experience, Jim decides it’s best if he takes Y/N home. He had successfully put her in his car and buckled her, and once he was in the car, Y/N wrapped her arms around his arm while giggling. “Wow. You are SO drunk!” He exclaims and eyes the girl, a gentle, caring smile on his face. The camera zooms in on the two, the view being from another car. “I’m perfectly sober!” Y/N cheers and Jim shakes his head as he pulled up to a red light, the camera filming them in the next car over. “Would I do this if I wasn’t sober?” “Do what-” And just like that, time stopped.
Y/N’s lips were on Jim’s, and Jim’s eyes widened, but he relunctly placed a hand on the back of her head, cradling softly as he closed his eyes. It was so pure, so delicate. The light had turned green, and a car honked behind them. Jim immediately pulled away, stepping on the gas, the camera getting a shot of them as they veered off. Y/N giggled and covered her mouth, then threw up in a bag that Jim had given to her just incase of an incident like this. He didn’t really have time to process what had just happened, and he rolled his eyes as he placed a hand on her back, rubbing it gently. He pulled up to his house, seeing his roommate was home. Jim was going to take her back to her house, but he was scared that she wouldn’t be able to articulate without some sort of assistance, and Jim presumed Caleb was already asleep.
Jim helped Y/N out of the car and walked into the small house and his roommate smiled. “So this is her?” He asked and Jim glared at him and sat Y/N down. “Just get me a glass of water, asshole.” He comments and takes his flip phone out, texting Caleb.
‘Hey, it’s Jim. Y/N got really drunk and she puked in my car, so I took her back to my house. Don’t worry, I’ll sleep on the couch. Have a good night.’
“What am I going to do with you?” Jim asked and shook his head. Y/N made ‘grabby hands’ towards him and his obliged, sitting on the couch with her, her body shifting so her head was now on his lap. He smiled down at the girl and quickly turned on the TV. Jim could feel Y/N slip out of consciousness by her breathing and he smiled again, taking a moment to take this in. He stroked her hair and he swallowed harshly, remembering what had happened earlier. Jim bit his lower lip and sighed, then took the girl up in his arms, bridal style, and walked to his room, placing her on his bed, and covering her with the blanket.
The next morning, Jim cooked breakfast for her, gave her medicine, and let her know of what had happened last night. She was taken aback, wondering why she would do such actions. She apologized profusely, to which Jim just smiled and shook his head, replying with a ‘you’re fine.’ Classic boy-next-door Jim. Y/N went home, and didn’t tell Caleb. There was no reason to. She was drunk, and didn’t remember the events. The weekend flew by in a flash, and soon it was Monday again.
Y/N walked into work with a bright smile on her face. That smile quickly faltered as whisperings were made by her other coworkers, and she made eye contact with Jim. Had he told someone? No, surely he hadn’t. Y/N’a eyes faltered from Jim as she sat behind her desk and Jim tapped his pen on desk. Dwight taps his desk a single time and Jim looks over at him, raising his eyebrows. “Y/N has a boyfriend.” Dwight quickly says, and Jim nods. “Yes, I know. Why are you telling me this?” He asks, really not wanting any of Dwight’s antics at the moment. “Because you kissed her.” Jim’s heart sank into the bottom of his stomach. “..Who told you that?” He whispered, glancing at the camera, and Dwight points at the crew member holding the camera. Jim looked at the camera and clenched his jaw.
“How long does this documentary have to be?” Jim asks, his hands folded in his lap as he clenched his jaw.
Y/N wrote sloppily, she was jotting down ideas for her writings. Not that anyone would see them. “Y/N?!” Caleb calls and Y/N stands up. He sounded angry. “Caleb? What’s up?” She asks, walking from behind the reception desk. “You kissed Jim?!” He yelled and Jim turned away from the gaze of Caleb, spinning in his chair as he looked in the camera. The whole office knew by now. “I-I was drunk! And it’s not like it meant anything!” Caleb had a right to be upset, after all, she had kissed him even if she didn’t remember it. “I’m sorry..” She trailed off and Caleb clenched his fists. “Sorry isn’t gonna cut it! You hang out with Jim all the time, how will I know if you don’t do something like this again?! We’re over. I want you moved out of the apartment by tonight.” Caleb angerily says and Jim looked over at Caleb, standing up. “Hey, man, she didn’t mean-” “I don’t want to hear it, Halpert. You kissed back.” He spat. Y/N looked over at Jim before she watched Caleb storm out of the office. He was gone. The man she wanted to marry, spend the rest of her life with, was gone. He wanted her gone.
“Y/N.” Jim quickly said and Y/N tears up, looking up at him. She just threw away four years of her life she would never get back. “I can’t..” She said and rushed out into the hallway, and finally into the stairwell. Jim followed close behind. “Hey..” Jim soothed and wrapped his arms around her, her head now resting on his chest as she wept. He rubbed her back gently and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, looking over at the camera. “You’re going to be okay, Y/L/N.” He comforted, and Y/N sputtered. “I don’t have a place to live! He wants- me gone by tonight.” Y/N hiccups and Jim holds her tighter, thinking of ways he could help her. “Hey! Crazy idea, you can stay at my place until you find somewhere to stay.” Jim suggests. He hadn’t even talked to his roommate.
“Are you sure? I- that’s.” Y/N tries to the find words to show her appreciation, and wraps her arms around his neck, standing on her tippy toes to hold onto him. Jim wraps his arms around her waist and closes his eyes, holding her tightly once more.
And just like that, Jim knew this was the right thing to do. He took in her scent, the softness of her skin, and the many giggles coming from her.
“I’d do anything for her.” Jim says confidently, before his eyes fell from view of the camera. “She’s my best friend.”

Secrets series part 4 the office
Jim x reader
A/n: I literally tried to post this about four times and it wouldn't let me 😧😖😤😤💀 I hate Tumblr, because of course every time I didn't save the work.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Meanwhile at the office--
The dundies got pretty Hectic. He didn't mean for it to happen. They were both pretty drunk. But that's no excuse is it?? Everyone could sense the tension, they figured it was for a different reason. They didn't get to see what happened the other day.. he was pretty guilty. I mean you were only gone a month.

"......"
"Why the long face Jim?" Michael asked. "not getting laid is that why you're being mr. Oscar the grouch?" He says laughing.
"no that's not it Michel." He shook his head and went into the kitchen.
She walked into the kitchen area after Jim. She knew why he was avoiding her. She hope she didn't mess anything up with him he was still a great guy.
"hey I'm sorry about-"
"no it's okay, we both were just having some fun it was harmless." He scratched his neck.
"yeah exactly hah."
"I mean you have your fiance and I have y/n."
"of course it was just a friend kiss."
"for sure."........
"well I should probably get back to the phones."
"yeah you wouldn't want to Miss a complaint call.'' she laughs then walks back to the front desk, Kelly comes in:
"aw you guys would make a cute couple. She's totally into you but aren't you dating y/n?"
"she's not into me besides she's engaged and yeah we're still dating and we're fine."
"well I didn't say something was wrong so that means that there is something wrong, but then that's two negatives but it's still a positive so something IS still wrong."
"nothing is wrong Kelly don't worry." He faked smiled walking away.
You and Jim talked everyday still but you both seemed off. You were just too guilty to notice, and he was too guilty also. so you guys either talked briefly or it was just kinda awkward. You both blamed it on being tired. He didn't know what to do since he was going to be seeing you in 5 days. He doesn't wanna ruin the trip but he needs to tell you.
Little did he know that you had a secret also.
"hey uh how was work?"
"it was pretty good. How about you how's your classes?"
"they're good, I'm learning a lot! Haha"
"that's great to hear."
"thanks...... So.. how were the dundies ??" Jim froze he didn't Want to say it over the video call but it's killing him. And now he can't look suspicious. "It was kind of boring. Michael was crazy about it but it wasn't anything special"
"that sucks I bet it would have been better if I was there. you winked😉😉
"haha yeah I- i would bet on that." Is it getting hot in hear Jim's thinking.
"so how has it been since Ryan left?". Now it's your turn to panic.
"pretty great.... I have more room now. Hehe"
"I know how you feel about your room."
"yeah haha...... how are Pam and Dwight ?"
"their- their great why?"
"just asking I know you pull pranks on him and she helps."
"oh someone's at the door I'll call you later. Love you bye"
"love you b-."
He sighs. That was a close one.

"i messed up"
You didn't answer when he called. He was kinda hoping you wouldn't.
"hey y/n it's me. I just wanted to say sorry for hanging up on you yesterday. I just haven't been feeling my best lately, but I'll tell you about that when I see you in 4 days. Hope you have a good day and know that i do love you. Remember our first date? I mean kind of hard to forget hahaha. We thought it was maybe a sign for us not to date but we both did not want to believe that. And then we just let it happen and we waited and haven't had a problem since. It's great the spaghetti just falling on your lap and me trying to save it from you but spilling my drink on my pants. Good times. So I wanted to tell you .... To tell you that I wanted to take you out when I see you. Alright, love you bye."
Listening to that message broke your heart and made you cry. Jim had a few tears fall too while leaving the message.

I have one!!!
Jim Halpert x gn!reader with fluff prompt
“Sad…I have a blanket with all this room and no one to share it with.”
With that episode ‘After Hours’ (yes I looked it up 🥲) where Jim is trying to get Cathy out of his hotel room so Dwight helps, but then Jim gets stuck with Dwight. So R comes to Jims rescue and offers him to stay with them in their room.
Summary: Jim is sent on a business meeting along with a few other prospective candidates for Vice President. When everything begins to spiral out of control, Jim doesn’t know who to turn to next //AU where Jim and Pam never got together, Pam went through with her marriage and the two children she has are with Roy, Pam is a sales associate, and Reader is the receptionist / being used as Nellie’s personal assistant Warnings: Use of Y/N, switching POV (between reader and Jim), use of the word ‘whxre’ (not at anyone), Author's Note: I’ll be completely honest my friend, I’ve completely forgotten who Cathy is! If she worked as the receptionist for Dunder Mifflin Scranton, then no she didn’t! In fact she’s not from Scranton at all cause reader doesn’t know her so how about that, there we go. Did I go back and rewatch the episode you mentioned? Yes. did i hate myself for it? Maybe a little bit. But it was during work so what else was i supposed to be doing? Work? Nah (ok look i wrote literal notes for this fic like it was a damn english project in school ok pls love this for me) Also on a side note, there needs to be more fics of Jim Halper x Reader ok I am literally dying without them. picture im like a dehydrated person in the desert just dragging my body around ok I need more fics
Tumblr media
Arriving at the hotel in Tallahassee should’ve been a lot smoother than it turned out to be. They were all told that Dunder Mifflin had it ‘handled,’ which should’ve been your first clue. What really tipped you off was the number of rooms available.
“What do you mean? There should be one extra-”
“That’s all the rooms we have on record, sorry.”
“No,” You sighed, rubbing your face with your hands, “No, I know. It’s not your fault at all. Just- do you have any extra available rooms? I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket.” It’s not as if you were being paid millions to be a receptionist at Dunder Mifflin, but you’d rather not have to ask to bunk with anyone. Everyone here were adults, and half of them seemed dead set on performing some sort of sexual act for the evening.
You had driven over with Nellie after she insisted you both carpool to cut costs. Then you had to suffer an entire car ride about how pent up she was, how she just wanted to get laid and she wasn’t above using her decision on who will be the new VP to get herself into bed. You tuned out before she could start listing names since there was nothing in the world you wanted to know less than what kind of guy Nellie was into.
“I’m sorry, it looks like we don’t have any extra rooms available.”
You were about to speak when you were bumped into, turning around to see the large crowd of Dunder Mifflin employees lining up behind you. You start handing out the proper keys to their proper rooms, having Dwight snatch his key cards out of your hand before immediately pouncing on Nellie. You were extremely thankful when Jim finally squeezed his way to the front. You hand over the card you labelled with his name, then sighed, looking back to the woman behind the counter.
“It does seem like there are a few rooms that have been reserved but haven’t been checked into yet. Their estimated check-in times are varied, so if you wait here there is a possibility that I could get a room for you at some point tonight.”
“I would really appreciate that, thank you,” You mumble over to her, then lean closer to Jim when he starts insistently tapping your shoulder.
“Can you be my new Tallahassee buddy? Stanley keeps going on and on about how we’re both bachelors and I’m pretty sure he’s wanting to get laid tonight. And I’m so not about to be around all of that anymore.” You chuckle at the similarities, shaking your head.
“That’s horrible. It’s like there’s something in the air here. Nellie was saying the same stuff during the car ride!” It was hard to talk with the loud crowd, but you weren’t complaining about how close Jim was standing next to you. “Unfortunately, I won’t be much of a buddy today. I would, but the company messed up, they didn’t reserve enough rooms!”
“They didn’t mess up!” You jump at the foreign voice, spinning around to see Nellie sliding up close to you, practically hanging on your shoulder. She already had Dwight and Packer trailing her closely from behind. “I told them the correct number of rooms, I swear it!”
“There’s not one for me-”
“Yeah, because I told them you didn’t need one!” You furrow your brows in confusion, watching her for a moment. “I figured you’d bunk with me! We’d be bunk buddies!”
“Nellie,” You hesitate, eyeing the men behind her before leaning forward, “There is absolutely no way in hell I’m sharing a room with you, considering what you talked about on the way up here.” Nellie stood there for a moment, obviously confused before suddenly jumping and spinning around to see the men trailing her. She laughs loudly, winking at them before turning back to you.
“Oh! Good idea!”
You watch Nellie just say this, then turn and leave. You sigh again, shaking your head and turning toward Jim. “If things can get settled in time I’d love to, Jim, but I-”
“Sorry, I couldn’t help but overhear,” A woman sidled up close, brushing herself against Jim’s arm. You watched the man jump, then turn and furrow his brow at this woman.
“Cathy?”
“Yes! It’s so good to see you, Jim! If you need a new Tallahassee buddy, I am willing and available.” You choked on your spit at the innuendo, watching her practically rub herself again Jim. You watched him try to take a step back, then bump into the counter behind him. You could feel something burning your chest at the way she was acting toward him. Much too forward, in your opinion, though maybe that’s what Jim likes? Should you do that, would that gain his attention?
“Oh, well, that sounds fun-”
“Great! So we can-”
“Hello?” You turn quickly at the receptionist’s insistence, raising your eyebrows toward her in a gesture that you were listening. At this she smiles back, looking back to her computer. “So the first one that may be available should be checking in within the hour. If by the top of the hour they don’t get here, I can make a phone call for you.”
“Oh, thank you so much. Really, I appreciate it.”
“Of course!”
You turn back to Jim, watching the woman walk away with a sway to her hips. You chuckle, shaking your head. “So you know her?”
“Oh, she works with the company.” He tears his eyes away from her, smiling down at you once more. “She’s willing to sit with me so I don’t have to deal with Stanley all weekend.”
“Oh good!”
“Of course, unless you would like to sit with me?” Jim smiles, and you could tell he was trying to charm his way into the seat next to you. If only he knew you would do anything for him.
“If I’m there in time, definitely. But this whole hotel business is turning into a real-” You’re interrupted by a phone call, cursing quietly and smiling apologetically to Jim. “I’m so sorry- I’ll just be a second,” You answer the phone, stepping aside to deal with some business for Nellie. You miss Jim giving you a longing stare before he finally turns around and begins making his way toward the bar.
Tumblr media
Jim felt lonely. He was almost excited to go on this trip, to get away from Scranton and all of the normalcy and monotonous days and maybe even spend some time with you outside of work for once. Or, as outside of work as he could get. But instead, he was sitting at the bar while nursing a drink and wishing you weren’t busy. Your hotel room hullaballoo lasted throughout the entirety of the company meeting, Nellie having complained that she had to take her own notes, and they still haven’t found a spare room for you.
Jim even offered to bunk with you, but then you had mentioned that there was only one bed in every room that was given out, and you had asked with raised eyebrows whether he was fine with sharing a bed with you. Jim- who obviously was more than okay with sharing a bed with you- had stuttered and mumbled and eventually the consensus landed in the field of no, you wouldn’t end up rooming with him. Nor did you have time to be his Tallahassee buddy. Which was extremely unfortunate, since the majority of the reason he had been excited about this trip was you.
Jim jumped at a weird noise, glancing over to see Packer blowing onto Nellie’s face with Dwight making what was probably supposed to be seagull calls into her ear. Sighing, he finished the rest of the drink he was nursing and mumbled something to himself before getting up and heading for his room. Maybe the sooner they’re back in Scranton, the sooner he’ll be able to talk to you again at the receptionist desk like normal. That would be 100% better than anything that was going on in this hotel at the moment.
When he got to his room he had turned on the tv, flipping idly through until he landed on the channel showing an NBA game. He leans back, watching for a little while. He’s not really sure what else to do, he didn’t exactly plan anything aside from ‘See what Y/N is doing and follow them around while they do it’ except you had said waiting in the lobby of the hotel room was extremely boring and you wouldn’t want to put him through that. He had acquiesced- for some reason- and had wandered back to the bar. Thinking back on it now, if you were bored down there then the best thing he could do would be to sit with you and entertain you. How had that thought only just crossed his head?
He was reaching for the remote to turn the tv off when he heard a knock at the door. Redirecting his attention, he left the remote for a moment and went to go see who could possibly be visiting him.
“Hey!” Jim’s brows furrowed seeing Cathy standing there in front of him. “The heating in my room is going a bit wonky, do you think I could hang out here while they fix it?” Without waiting for an answer, Cathy pushes past Jim and into his room.
“O-okay,” Jim drags out the word, closing the door slowly and hesitantly following Cathy into his room.
“What do you have on? Some kind of game?” She jumps onto his bed, scooting near the middle with her back against the bedframe. Jim hesitates, nodding toward the tv.
“Yeah, y’know. The NBA.”
“O-oh, sounds fun,” She sings back, patting the spot beside her. Jim slowly lowers himself onto the corner of the bed, then lets himself continue sliding until he’s sitting on the floor in front of the tv.
“Yeah. Fun.”
“So how’s the night going? Retiring early already?” Jim felt a tap on his shoulder and glanced up to see Cathy laying on her stomach, her head at the foot of the bed and close to Jim. He clears his throat, subtly trying to scoot away. “Didn’t know you were such an old man, Halpert!”
“Yeah, well. You know me. Old man Halpert.”
“Maybe we could stay up a little longer together? Have a little fun?”
Jim jumps up, taking a few steps back from the bed with a stutter. “Oh, you know, actually I was planning on heading down to the lobby-”
“I can come?” She asks, pushing herself up to sit on her legs.
“No, I just meant-”
Another knock on the door interrupts him, and thanking god under his breath he practically ran to the door. “Stanley! You do not know how glad I am to see you!”
“Mmhmm,” Stanley hums, pushing past Jim and walking into his room.
“You should stay! We’re watching the NBA, it’ll be like a party!”
“I’m just here ‘cause I ran out of refreshments in my room.” Stanley straightens up, carrying every single little bottle of alcohol that the hotel provided Jim’s room. Jim watched him look directly at Cathy, then back at Jim with raised eyebrows. Stanley immediately begins his exit, calling out behind him, “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!”
Jim glanced back toward Cathy on his bed, who only taps the bed beside her in an indication to sit down. Jim takes a big sigh, looking back to the tv immediately. He wanders over slowly, taking his position back on the floor.
“Oh! I wonder if you have-” Jim doesn’t hear the rest of it, glancing over to see what Cathy was doing only to be met with her rear-end as she completely bends over at the waist, digging through Jim’s closet. He turns his eyes to the ceiling of the hotel room. What was he supposed to do? Just kick her out? Why was he such a nice person that he didn’t want to hurt her feelings about all of this?
After some time, and Cathy making herself comfortable on Jim’s bed once more, Jim begins to stand and attempt his well-thought-out exit strategy once more.
“Actually, Cathy, I think I’m going to head down to the lobby-”
“Why?” Cathy stood on her knees on the bed, walking over toward the edge and placing a hand flirtatiously on his chest. “Is something the matter with your room?”
“Well- uh, no-”
“Then everything’s good! Come, sit with me!” Cathy jumps back once more, throwing the covers back and settling back in her spot, patting the open area next to her. Jim chokes for a moment, unsure what to do before pulling out his cell phone, and holding a finger up toward Cathy as if asking her to wait.
His plan to call Dwight into action, claiming he had seen a bed bug, hadn’t really worked out exactly as planned. If the plan had been for both Cathy and Dwight to be naked in his hotel room, then it actually went exactly as planned.
Jim was stepping outside of his room for a breather when he finally spotted you. He let out a long sigh, a fond smile lighting up his face without his permission. He wasn’t too worried about it anyway when a matching smile appeared on your face. You were standing near some person who looked to be wearing a hotel uniform, and he jogged over as the person entered the hotel room. “Hey! Did they get you situated finally?”
“Not completely sure?” You hesitated, shrugging at him. “They said they’ve been having some sort of appliance malfunctions on this floor so they need to make sure the room is okay for me to stay in. I asked to tag along, just in case.”
“Well, I hope it works out! Then you’ll be just down the hall from me!”
“Yeah! You could have a visitor for once!” You tease unknowingly, giggling. Jim’s face crashes though, and as he raises a hand to rub his face you begin to grow concerned. “Is everything alright?”
“Well if you count having a naked Dwight in my bed as alright-”
He’s cut off by your laughter, though you’re clearly trying to hold it back. You raised a hand to cover your mouth, and Jim can’t help but smile seeing you act so cute. You finally speak through your laughter, trying to hold yourself together. “Oh, well congratulations I guess? I gotta say, I didn’t see that coming. You and Dwight-”
“No, no, no,” Jim interrupts, laughing himself and shaking his head. You finally dissolve into laughter, and Jim lets the moment last a bit longer before finally explaining. “No, Cathy came into my room.”
“Cathy came by, and now you have a Dwight naked in your bed?” You seemed curious but confused, and Jim could feel his nose scrunch in adoration for you.
“Well, Cathy is naked in my shower so-”
“Oh!” You interrupt, and he could see your cheeks lighting up red. “Oh, I didn’t realize. You two-”
“No!” Jim calls out, probably a bit too loud and too quickly. He clears his throat, leaning closer to you and slumping his shoulders. “No, I mean, she obviously wants to. She told me her room was having heating problems and then has done everything in her power to flirt with me since pushing herself into my room. I’ve tried everything to be polite, I really don’t know what else to do.”
“And,” You begin, narrowing your eyes at him, “I’m still failing to see how a naked Dwight comes into play.” He laughs, then watches as your smile widens as he does.
“Well I kept trying to tell her I needed to leave, but she kept insisting I stayed. Then Stanley came by and stole my alcohol, and he was absolutely no help at all. So I called Dwight. Told him I saw a bed bug in my bed. He came through tearing my room apart, and Cathy said she was going to go take a shower in my room?” He rubs a hand across his face, shrugging. “Everything kinda devolved from there. He started stripping, saying he needed all the skin access he can have, that his body heat was going to attract the bed bugs to his body.”
“The bugs that- aren’t there?” You question, raising an eyebrow. He nods along and you laugh, shaking your head. You’re both quiet for a moment before you take a step toward him. Jim could feel his heart rate beginning to spike at your closeness. “But, help me out here. All this just because what? You don’t want to have sex with her?” Jim watched some sort of emotion cross over your face, though it was brief enough that he couldn’t quite catch it. “I mean, she seems like a good person?”
“She’s not the one I want though,” Jim mumbles, staring into your eyes. ‘Woah there, Jimboy,’ He thinks to himself, taking a deep breath to calm himself but only inhaling more of your scent, setting butterflies fluttering in his stomach. “I- I just mean, well. I like someone. And it’s not her.”
You were just opening your mouth to say something- ‘Anything, say anything,’ Jim pleaded in his head- when you were interrupted before you could even start.
“I tried my best, but I couldn’t get it to work. I don’t think this room is hospitable. I’m sorry.” You had turned around, taking a step away from Jim. He could finally breathe normally now, though he would still much rather be in your orbit than face the possibility of going back to his room to deal with things.
“Oh, that’s alright. I guess I can go see Tara back at check-in and see if she has anything else.” The disappointment in your voice had Jim’s chest clenching, and he reached forward to take your hand before you could walk away.
“My offer is still open, you know.” You laugh at him, shaking your head and pulling your hand away gently.
“What, stay with you and your two naked roommates?” Jim could feel his face begin to blush, and you shook your head once more. “Go have fun, Jim.” You walk away with an audible sigh, and Jim knew he would have done anything to make you happy again.
Tumblr media
‘Go have fun, Jim,’ You mock back at yourself, shaking your head. ‘Yes, just tell your crush to go have sex with someone ‘willing and available,’ that’s the exact thing you need to be doing.’ You were currently sitting on the uncomfortable furniture in the check-in waiting area, balancing your briefcase on your knees and hoping desperately that everyone in Scranton that wanted your attention via phone had finally gone to bed. You hadn’t received a ‘super important’ not-so-important phone call for the last thirty minutes, so your hopes were beginning to look up.
“Excuse me, Y/L/N?”
“Yes?” You stumble as you stand, fumbling with your briefcase before finally catching it and dropping your phone. Thankfully, Tara waits patiently for you to pick up your phone as well before you rush over to her desk. She had been so helpful, and it had only taken you an hour of being in her company before remembering it was polite to ask about names.
“I’ve just got off the phone with-” She hesitates, glancing at her computer and scanning it before huffing and turning her attention back to you, “Well, doesn’t matter. They aren’t showing up, they told me as much. So we finally have a room available to you! I sent Max back up to check the room again, but if I remember correctly then this isn’t one of the ones having problems!”
“Oh, Tara, thank you so much!” You lean across the counter, and thankfully Tara meets you halfway for an awkward hug. She giggles as she backs away, leaning over and placing a card key on the counter.
“And it’s on the house, darling.”
“What? No, I couldn’t do that to you, Tara!”
“Look, with the whole misunderstanding, and then you having to stand here for hours and just wait around while that cute guy kept coming back trying to get your attention-”
“Wait, who, Jim?” You ask breathlessly, sliding the card into your hand. You laugh, though Tara seems unconvinced. “Oh, no, we’re just friends. It’s nothing like all that-”
“Sure, darling. Just take the room.”
“Thank you again!”
You back up, turning to quickly run into the room and almost knock directly into the camera guy that seems to have taken the position of following you around constantly. You sigh, nodding at the guy behind the camera before taking off quickly.
Your room was in the same hallway as Jim’s, and you weren’t sure yet whether you were going to curse the fact or thank Tara with an entire fruit basket. You were about to find out, though, now that you’d set your briefcase down and had taken a cursory look through the room. Making sure to have your card key on you, you exit the room at the end of the hallway and begin what felt like a walk of doom to where you knew Jim was staying- the room he had exited earlier in the night when you had almost been given a room and he had seen you.
As you were getting closer, you started hearing some kind of commotion. It sounded like muffled yells- then extremely loud screams as Jim’s door is flung open. A woman- Cathy- comes running out with a bedsheet held around her body, screaming and waving her free arm around her head as she pushes past you and runs down the hall. You hesitate, then take a few steps closer, just in time to hear Dwight’s mumbled voice.
“It’s not safe in here, Jim. I think you should room with Cathy for the night.”
You knock on the open door, peaking your head in to see Dwight with a facemask and large rubber gloves, holding two different spray bottles with some weird coloured liquids inside. Dwight was practically in Jim’s face, though at your knock they both turn to look at you. Dwight with exasperation, and Jim with nothing but relief.
“Y/N! Yes, please, save me from this nightmare.” He rushes toward you, taking one of your hands with both of his and practically drowning you with puppy dog eyes. You take in a quick breath before Dwight begins to crowd the both of you.
“No! Nope! No more bodies need to be added to the situation, go flirt outside.” Dwight slams the door closed behind the two of you, and you couldn’t help the small laugh that bubbles up.
“So, naked Cathy and Dwight turn into-”
“Naked Cathy running away clutching a bedsheet and a fully decked-out Dwight spraying my room with mysterious chemicals? I guess so.” You both laugh and you could feel your cheeks heating up at Jim’s attention. “But, seems like I just lost my room.”
“Oh, what a shame,” You mumble, waiting for him to look back into your eyes before your smile grows wider. “So sad… I have a blanket with all this room and no one to share it with.”
Jim’s face lights up and he starts looking up and down the hallway as if your room number would just jump out in front of him. “Wait you finally got a room? That’s amazing, Y/N!”
“We finally got a room,” You insist, then hesitate as he locks eyes with you again, “I mean, if you’re still-”
“Yes!” Jim jumps in, grinning. “I would love to. Should’ve said that to begin with.” You both laugh, and you lead him down the hall to your room. Once inside, Jim begins to take a look around while you grab the remote, pushing yourself onto your bed and settling your back against the bedframe. As you turn on the tv, you start flipping through the channels.
“Shouldn’t you go back and rescue your stuff from Dwight’s wrath?”
“I think I’ll give it a night to air out,” Jim mumbles, settling himself slowly at the head of your bed, scooting in to sit next to you. You settle your channel-flipping on some sort of basketball game. You didn’t know much about it yourself, but nothing else seemed interesting and you knew Jim liked the game.
“So,” You begin, turning your position to face Jim fully. “Tell me all about what happened.” He laughs in response, raising a hand to rub the back of his head.
“Oh, well. I basically told you everything already. After you left I went back to my room and Cathy had apparently decided not to put on any clothes and just jumped under the covers on my bed like she owned the place. I got really sick of all of her flirting, so I tried telling her straight to her face, ‘Cathy, I’m sorry but I’m not interested.’”
“Really? Appropriate, given the circumstances.”
“Yeah, I thought so too. She just looked at me like I was crazy and asked if that’s what I thought of her. If I thought she was a whore.” You gasped at the name and Jim nodded, turning to look at you more directly as well. “Of course, I said no. Then she just said ‘Okay good, that’s settled,’ and then continued to flirt with me!”
“No!” You gasped, laughing again. “You did everything including telling her you weren’t interested and she still kept pressing on!”
“Yeah! So I called Dwight back. He came running in with those spray bottles and she tried insisting she didn’t see anything, but when Dwight asked ‘Where’s the bug?’ I didn’t even think about it, I just pointed straight at her.” You widened your eyes, unconsciously scooting closer. You watched Jim track your movement, his grin widening. “She screamed when he started spraying her and jumped off the bed and I thought to myself, ‘Well she got that far, I wonder if she’ll go all the way?’ So then Dwight asked if I saw it and I kept pointing at the sheet she was clutching around herself and-”
“That’s why she ran screaming from your room!” You blurt out, placing your hand on his arm, and then you both begin laughing. “That’s horrible!”
“I know! How could Dwight do something like that!” You laugh harder, shaking your head. After you both manage to calm down, another thought strikes your mind.
“So,” You begin, biting your lip and unsure how to phrase this. “You kept saying that you were sending signals that you obviously didn’t want to do anything with her, right?” You look up toward him, watching his eyes track your lips, realising you're biting them again.
“Uh- well, yeah. Yeah, I did that. It was like she was blind or something.” Jim mumbled, the tips of his cheeks were turning pink and it looked way too nice on him. “Or just, y’know, deliberately ignoring them.”
“What were they?” You ask- mumble, more than anything. Jim hesitates for a second, tilting his head.
“What?”
“What were the signs?” You could see the moment it registers what you’re asking in his eyes when they slightly widen.
“Oh, well. When she originally came in, she jumped on my bed and patted the spot next to her. I ended up sitting on the very corner of it,” He turned to point at the corner of your own bed as if you needed an explanation, then turned back toward you. “But even that felt a bit too much like giving in so I just ended up sort of sliding onto the floor. The entire time she was there I was either standing or sitting on the floor at the end of the bed watching tv.”
“Oh,” You whisper, trying to keep a smile tampered down at the fact that Jim had unflinchingly sat right next to you at the head of the bed. “Well, what else?”
“She tried to bend over directly in front of me.”
“No,” You gasp, laughing again. You hear Jim chuckle a bit before he continues.
“Yeah. I just looked up the whole time, I didn’t want to disrespect her or anything. Then there were the innuendos.”
“O-oh,” You drew out, smirking at him. “Saying innuendos to one Jim Halpert. I’m surprised you could resist her.” He’s quiet after, staring into your eyes. You begin to worry you said the wrong thing before he finally speaks up, his voice sounding a little rough.
“Yeah, maybe if it wasn’t her saying them.” You bite your lip, watching him momentarily before looking away and pretending to watch basketball.
“So what kinds of things did she say then?” As you finally glance back Jim just shrugs, looking quickly at the tv. Was he trying to pretend he wasn’t staring at you? Had he been staring at you? You bite your lip once again, thinking hard. “Ohh, I’m just so cold.” You tried to push your voice into a sultry tone and felt satisfied when Jim turned suddenly, his eyes wide and cheeks red.
“What?”
“That was one of the things she tried, right?” You asked, indicating what you had meant by saying that. You could feel Jim slowly relaxing against you and- wait, against you? When had the two of you got so close that your arms were resting against each other? Your faces were even closer than you remembered and you were beginning to get lost in his eyes.
“Y/N?” You blink a few times, realizing you had zoned out for a moment. If he had answered you, you had definitely missed it.
“Yeah?” You couldn’t help how breathless your voice sounded, and you could only hope that Jim wouldn’t realize why and then leave.
“Are you cold?” His voice was low and rough again and distracted you from the words he said for a few beats too long. Even after, his words had your brain scrambling to a halt, and you could feel your mouth opening and closing- gaping like a fish. How attractive. And yet, through all this Jim maintained how close he was to you. How he was slightly hunching over, his face closer to yours than it maybe should’ve been.
“I- yes,” You answer, nodding your head slowly, in obvious disbelief. “Yes, I’m cold.”
“Would you like help to warm up?” Jim was already shifting slowly, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you in closer to him.
“Yes, I- I would,” You stutter out, pushing yourself slowly down to lay your head on his chest. Once the both of you were settled, you were essentially laying together on your hotel bed and were cuddling. You were laying on Jim, you could feel his chest rising and falling with breath, and you had your arms wrapped around him to hold him close and he was letting you.
Maybe this trip didn’t turn out so bad after all.

(warnings. mentions of suicide and depression.)
“I’m so sorry for your loss.” “She was a great woman.” “I couldn’t imagine what your going through.” Those sentences were repeating over and over again in Y/N’s head. All day during her late mom’s, M/N, funeral. Y/N loved her mom. Her mom was a single mother but she did everything that she could for her daughter to give her the life that she never did.
When Y/N got the life changing call, she was at her best friend Jim’s house, they were watching a horror film on Netflix. Jim could tell by the S/C woman that whatever it is the other person on the other side of the phone was saying wasn’t anything good.
That night when Y/N got home, she cried. She cried herself to sleep that night. She stayed home for the next few days. Not going out for anything unless it was absolutely necessary. The 27-year old spent her day looking through old memories of her and her mom throughout the years.
The rest of the week Y/N stayed home cooped up in her bed. She was depressed, she loved her mom and now that she was gone, Y/N had no one. Jim however noticed Y/N’s absence.
“Dwight, have you seen Y/N?” Jim asked quietly. Dwight looked over a Jim with a shrug. “She’s at home.” Jim looked at Dwight silently telling him to continue. “Doing what Dwight?”
The male co-worker looked at Jim with a ‘bitch’ look. “How am I supposed to know Jim? Last thing i heard from her was that her mom passed and she’s taking some time off.” at those words, Jim finally realized why she was absent. Jim knew the relationship between Y/N and her mom. he knew how much she meant to her.
Y/N laid in her bed crying for what felt like the 100th time today. She hadn’t move for hours , at this point her thighs were starting to hurt from not moving.
Jim walked in to Y/N’s apartment. She had given him a spare key when she went out of town to watch her fish and never took it back. Not that Jim would’ve given it back anyway. The apartment was dark, all the blinds were drawn and there was stench. Like death. Jim walked towards Y/N’s room opening the door slightly.
Y/N didn’t hear Jim come in. She couldn’t hear anything, she was too out of it.
“Oh, Y/N..” Jim whispered once he caught sight of the distraught woman curled up in bed. Speaking of, she turned towards Jim teary eyed. “Jim.” She whispered out getting up wrapping her arms around his neck crying. Jim reciprocated the hug.
“I heard what happened from Dwight, I’m so sorry Y/N.” He tightly wrapped his arms around her.
“What are you doing here Jim?” Y/N asked burying her face into his shoulder. “I just wanted to make sure you’re ok.”

prompt - “your lips are just too damn kissable”
summary - a few office workers attend a secret dinner and others can’t help but to gossip
where to request - here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“So, Y/n, how was that dinner you had the other day?” Oscar questioned, sitting besides you at his desk as you worked diligently at trying to crunch the numbers, as you listened to your music with one headphone in.
“My dinner?” You repeated, having trouble remembering the specific event he was speaking of as you placed the calculator down, to turn his way.
“Yesterday, when Michael invited us all to go to Poor Richards, you mentioned something of having to attend a dinner,” He shrugged, now turning his attention away to quickly type nonsense in his computer. “How was it?”
“Oh, it was nice, very sweet.” You nodded, returning back to your work with a small smile.
The camera quickly zoomed into Oscar’s face with a sly smile, typing away at a email which was soon sent to Angela.
Tumblr media
“Now, I’m not one to gossip,” Oscar put his hand on his chest, looking into the camera with a look of innocence. “But, the girl is so secretive, always actually doing her work and never revealing anything! But now, it’s almost for certain that she is dating someone, that’s her secret she’s trying to hide. I mean, I would know something about secret dating,” He gestured to himself.
Tumblr media
Angela opened the email, her eyes slightly wandering before she rolled them and quickly switched her screen to one of a cat before the camera could get a good shot of it. The religious woman continued on with the appearance of working diligently, but in reality, she was typing into a search bar “how to know if your co-worker is a secret prostitute”.
You couldn’t help but let your mind wander some more to that supposed dinner, the one that involved a very sweet kiss at the end and a small note with a new song to listen to. It was the only one you could play on repeat at the moment, and used it to fuel you and motivate you to get your work done quicker.
On the opposite end of the office, the sales area set up by the receptionist desk, also had a certain man getting pestered about a supposed dinner the other night.
“Pam, I told you,” Jim sighed, shaking his head a bit with a small laugh. He turned his rolling chair to face back to his computer, a way to try and avoid contact with one person in the office he would consider a good friend. She stood behind her own desk, faxing a paper, but stopping the movement in order to bother, or interrogate, Jim just a bit more. “I went out with a old buddy from high school.”
“That’s so unbelievable!” She exclaimed, picking up a crumpled piece of paper from the near by trash bin and throwing it near his head. He just took the paper and continued the action by throwing it at Dwight now.
“It’s the truth, I don’t know what you want me to tell you.”
“I want to know who the dinner was really with, you’ve been acting so strange lately. I would know, you’re like my best friend in the office, and for some reason you seem more content or more motivated with your job for just talking about how much you hated it not too long ago.”
“I have not changed, I still hate this job, just, well, a bit less,” He continued on with his typing, now dialing a number as Pam tried to rush around her desk in order to reach him before it would go through.
“You have,” Dwight interjected their conversation, putting down his dark red pen and turning his full body to face the duo. “You used to make around two to three calls a day, now make around five, You finish logs quicker and tend to take your lunch breaks more in the office than outside of it. You only go to the bathroom once a day and get a cup of coffee early, before the work day starts. You’ve finally begun to put more pride into this job, a job you are fortunate to have. You could be jobless Jim.”
Jim didn’t respond for a moment, letting his gaze wander over to where the cap stuck to the bottom of a black pen was sitting on your lip, your left hand holding the white paper with numbers and dates galore. You looked peaceful, yet confused, it was interesting to the man how you could portray two different emotions at once.
“I’m not going to be jobless, Dwight,” He shook his head, removing his gaze to look at the computer once again. “I know what I’m doing.”
“Even Dwight agrees!” Pam exclaimed, shaking his shoulders as another sigh left Jim’s lips.
Luckily for the man, the phone begun to ring, the receptionist having to go back to her duties and Dwight had his attention back on his own work. Glancing over at the time, Jim jumped back into his own duties, silently counting down the time to the awaited lunch break.
Tumblr media
“What do you got today?” He looked over at your small spread out, a plastic container with some simple foods and a napkin kindly placed right on the side, a water bottle still cold from the fridge. “Something for me?” A smile glided over his lips, picking at one of your fruits to plop it into his mouth.
“I don’t know what you mean,” You laughed, scooting the container away in the slightest, the both of you chuckling once again as he begun to eat away at his sandwich. “I have to end lunch early today.”
“Why?” His voice was a bit muffled, food stuck on the creases of his teeth as he stopped his chomping to mutter the word.
“I’ve got to meet up with my mom, she’s been begging me,” You reminded him. “I told you this already.”
“Must’ve slipped my mind. One thing that hasn’t, well, was that dinner I went to the other night.”
“Really now? And why would you say that?”
“It was definitely memorable, especially ending the moment with such a-”
“Is this seat taken?” Kelly quickly strode over, plopping onto the open chair right besides you and flipping her hair. “Ryan is sending too many mixed signals! He won’t tell me if he likes the blue or pink dress better, I mean whichever one he chooses means something.”
“It’ll be okay, Kelly,” You turned your body to now face the distressed girl. Jim silently packed up his food, moving to the other table where some other co-workers were seated, chatting amongst themselves.
“I’m telling you! Here, Jim would know,” Oscar pointed at the man mentioned, the attention of Angela, Meredith, and Andy all falling onto him.
“Know what?” He asked.
“You’re good friends with Y/n, what was this dinner she went on?”
“I’m not sure, uh, a dinner?”
“What a horrible answer,” Andy laughed. “Come on Big Tuna, give us something good, give me something good.”
“Really, I don’t know what you want me to say.”
“The truth,” Angela tried to pry more.
“She obviously is seeing a man, it could be the new sales for Vance Refrigeration, he isn’t bad on the eyes. One time, I did see him specifically talking to Y/n in the elevator,” Oscar revealed.
“You sure it can’t be the new IT guy, he spent a little too much time at Y/n’s desk, probably trying to get a look do-”
“Ew, Meredith!” Angela shook her head in distaste, quickly cutting off her more provocative ideas.
“Well, interesting talk,” Jim muttered, throwing away the rest of his food, making a path to his desk to unenthusiastically throw himself into the chair, slouched over to click short taps for the computer.
He stared at his computer for a good moment, procrastination taking over once again, leading his mouse to wander to his emails. Yet, the first one, at the very top, was one of you complimenting him for the lovely evening from the other day. It was sweet and ended with a nice message about how that day ended.
Quickly he got up from his seat, a quick hand reaching for the winter coat as he took the steps to the parking lot, letting his feet lead him to the normal parking space you seemed to always park in. As you were about to close your passenger door you caught notice of his figure.
“Jim?” You shut the door, walking over to him. “Is something wrong?” He immediately wrapped his hand around your waist, pulling you in for a delightful kiss, pulling you even closer at the same time. It wasn’t long, but it was romantic, the cold day with a small patches of snow still littering around the ground and wind whipping any unsecured strands of hair away from their sanctuary. It was sweet. “What was that for?”
He laughed, just laughed for a couple seconds and running his hand through his hair, the tip of his nose beginning to become pinker, and coat barely fastened correctly. “Since that date, and that kiss, and now, it’s just that your lips are too damn kissable.”
“That’s so cheesy,” You giggled, now taking your own turn to laugh. “Who knew you got such lines up your sleeve.”
“If you want more I can get some, trust me,” He poorly winked.
“I might take you up on that.”
Tumblr media
“Well, Jim, he’s not too bad,” You muttered to the camera, lightly tapping your pant leg. “He, he is a very caring co-worker. He definitely knows how to make someone feel appreciated.”
“Y/n? She’s a little feisty when you get to know her, so be careful, not as sweet as she tries to appear,” Jim let his laugh get the best of him, the pink still present and a bit of gloss at the corner of his lips. The camera zoomed into his face even more, catching the pink to that was now spreading to his cheeks and the lip gloss shined brighter in the light. “No, but, she’s really great.”
