sowing: I learned how to use a handspindle with a distaff recently (like you see in historical pictures) and it's SO easy, it's literally so easy, I never really got the hang of hand spindles before but this is so easy, the yarn almost spins itself, I could go through this entire 200g braid in 3 days, I could spin enough to make a whole garment!! Bow before me! I am the king and queen of fibre crafting!!!!

reaping: ouch my hand :(

#the way this works: you keep twisting the spindle with your right and also pull is away from the fibre #the left (at the distaff) controls the draft and twist #and that means the fingers of the right hand - particularly the index - have to constantly hold and turn the spindle #and THIS is new/unusual movement so when you do it nonstop for several days at some point your knuckles will be like #hey quick question? what the hell???#and because i am a responsible person who enjoys having functional hands i acknowledge the warning and let them rest a bit #but urgh this is no fun at all why do our joints get achy when we move them moving is literally what they are there for #anyway if youre reading this get yourself a distaff this instance i swear it will revolutionize your spinning game #handspinning #crafts

Finished her!!!

Okay so despite only having spent like yesterday night and all of today on her it feels like this took way longer. This is a rough concept for what the finale Cyberpunk!Faye will look like. Name currently pending because that is not catchy at all.

I love how her expression turned out. Her rbf is on perfect display here 👌 Also the fact her eyes are so frigid.

Anyways, meet the Faye of a currently unnamed underwater city based on Cyberpunk aesthetics. She's something between an Intellitron and an organic lifeform, crafted by a legendary inventor from The Iron Era. Cold and indifferent, she keeps everyone in the city safe by any means necessary. Some view her as a benevolent guardian because of this while others, say her name with venom and see her as a ruthless tyrant. No matter the case, she is simply fulfilling the job her creator gave her before their disappearance.

#as a side note i want to add more circuit board patterns to her design and maybe give her ball joints like a doll #she also has a monocle in the form of a green pentagon that materializes on her face #it functions like a computer that she can control via her mind #i'm thinking about her ship being with either Constance or Pearl but Screwllum is also kind of tempting rn #i'll have to see who best fits with the themes and plot #and who feels the most self indulgent #i also have like two or three Faye's for this so I could technically do all of them #hsr #hsr oc #hsr self insert #steamworksfairy self-insert Faye #honkai star rail

#it will probably come back immediately as long as I'm n that room bc the fucking vape/synthetic body scent will not fucking leave no matter #what I do. I'm going to take my giant plushies outside when it's dry and sunny enough and HOPE that helps bc I need them to keep my joints #in place when I have to sleep on the floor and thankfully I can avoid migraines in my loft bed but that also means taco steve is banned to #the floor which was my fucking safe place and like. where I work on everything #I'm not going to fucking tattoo myself in a loft bed #bc I will keep hitting my head on the ceiling and it's not a good setup anyway #I'm already fucking sore from when the heavy table we do not need knocked everything off of this stupid shelf I wanted to replace :):)#like I am fucking begging my roommate for help but she's never here unless it's to ask for MY help and then I'm burned out from carrying her #shit up stairs etc and sometimes I do tell her I cannot do this you need to call someone else. and it's only fair that I get stuck w all the #fkn housework bc I cannot work but it sends me into flares where my JOINTS FALL OUT and I have a fever for days?? and IF she would just let #me go back on the one medication then I might actually be able to work again. but I can't elaborate on that bc I don't want to be completely #homeless and so now I'm fucking. Did you guys know that the skull on Venom's cue is a real thing you can buy

#they're called joint protectors and theyre REAL you can BUY THEM right now!!#however usually they're used for protecting middle joints in a two piece cue while Venom's is on the handle #which either means it was only used as inspiration for his design and is thus non functional #but the funnier option is that Venoms pool cue is just. An Extra Long 3 Piece Cue that he uses like a 2 piece #the third piece is for emergencies only #yappin'
