I don't think some of you understand that pre-Canto DonQui is still Sancho. That's literally Sancho. No she didn't get her Father's memories that's literally just Sancho!!!

Rocinante doesn't do anything other than suppress her bloodfiend traits. The reason she thinks her name is Don Quixote is because Rocinante was made by Papa Quixote so it had his title on it!! She forgot her name because she was too obsessed with all the fixer stuff in the lighthouse that she didn't even remember what her name is like ajsksnykaIT MAKES ME ILL SHE'S SUCH A NERD I LOVE HER

Anyways. She forgot her memories because of the river. That's it. Full Stop point blank. I think some of the river's essence might be on Rocinante so that's how the WARP Train shenanigans happened, or maybe Sancho associated her "Sancho" identity with being a bloodfiend so much that she let Rocinante suppress that side of her too. Idk man it's a plot hole but that's how I would explain it.

"Don Quixote" is just the purest form of Sancho and her autism special interest hyperfixation love for fixers and the dreams and ideals of justice. That is the purest essence of who she is, untainted by the cynicism her past and trauma has given her, and free to express her true feelings. It is still Sancho, Don Quixote is Sancho. She is not erasing herself to be replaced by another identity, she is simply embracing that childish, innocent form that was lost to time while carrying on with the shared dream her and her father has.

My mom learned from her parents and then she taught me all my life, and it’s served both of us well, especially during illnesses and power outages and random things like the pandemic supply issues. It’s not super complicated, but just like everything else it’s a skill to learn to think about/account for and does require some maintenance to make sure you rotate out food that expires sooner rather than later, things like that

Hey, can I give you my tumblr protip?

In these difficult times, I aggressively block keywords and tags to create a lush safespace where I can look at butts and gif sets of cartoon characters relatively free from worry. But if you filter a keyword, Tumblr will filter any occurance of that string of letters in any context. You could be missing so many posts about "ELONgated sTRUMPets gROWLING" just because you don't want to hear about the latest stupid thing some rich asshole said or did.

So, the trick is to also filter the inoccuous words. If tumblr says a post contains filtered keyword "Elon," scroll on by. But if it says it contains filtered keywords "Elon" and "melon" you can click through to your fruit related content.

This also means you don't have to add multiple iterations of a word! "Nazi" will block all mention of "nazis" and "nazism."

(this tip does not work for filtered tags, only for filtered keywords)

Remember, there is a difference between staying informed and doomscrolling. You're not burying your head in the sand if you choose to have tumblr be your respite. It's sort of implied Yoo Joonghyuk starts off every regression in his signature outfit already and I have. Headcanons on how that is possible.

It's explicitly stated in canon that his coat does not travel back to him when he regresses (kdj says so to sp), so the two possibilities are either he buys it as soon as possible and just does the first couple scenarios in a normal outfit (boring, unsupported by canon) or... he was already wearing the coat on the day the scenarios started. Which is what I think, and is more interesting. Since those coats already have so much narrative weight in yjh's story let me add a little more.

I think when Yoo Joonghyuk spawned into existence on the side of the road one day, he was wearing the full WoS outfit, coat included. Because, what else would the protagonist wear? This was the only outfit he was written in.

Eventually, he of course did buy normal clothes (in yoo mia side story, which happens a few years later, he wears 'an old jacket') but that coat he started off with with would have been one of the very few pieces of evidence of his supposed 'past' that he wanted to discover so badly. So even if he stopped wear it day-to-day, I think he wouldn't have gotten rid of it.

For years, A Black Infinite Dimention Space Coat hangs in his closet, totally anachronistic in a pre-scenarios world. Like Yoo Joonghyuk himself.

It's important to note that on the day the scenarios started, Yoo Joonghyuk was taking the train to meet his parents for the first time. Perhaps he felt the need to dress up, and what better way than the unusual clothing he wore on the first day he remembers? He would have finally gotten the answers he had been looking for - perhaps even to the comparatively insignificant question of why he was wearing this coat when he forgot his past.

Well, his parents house was empty, but he still gets the answer to his questions eventually, when at 7 p.m on the ride back, the scenarios start.

In a bitter irony, that outfit he chose to wear on that day would be what he wore for the next thousand regressions. But of course, it never could have happened any other way.
