Kiang (Equus kiang)
Also known as the Tibetan wild ass, the kiang is a relative of the donkey which is found across the Tibetan Plateau. They live in high-altitude steppes, valleys, and hills, and eat meadow-grasses and sedges.

The Thai title of EarthMix's Our Skyy song "No Matter What" is ผาเคียงดาว /pʰǎː kʰiːaŋ daːw/ "Cliff near the Stars" and I'm clawing my face off in anticipation.
(Yes, it's only one word off from the name of the village/setting of ATOTS -- ผาปันดาว /pʰǎː pan daːw/ breaks down to "cliff dividing/rationing/allocating/sharing stars")

imagine Quark hearing that a lot of Starfleet ships have like workout shirts for the crew with an abbreviation of the ships name on them and ds9 doesn't have them bc it 1. isn't Starfleet, it's Bajoran with some Starfleet on it and 2. is a station not a ship
Quark would absolutely move in on that merchandizing opportunity

An actually good narrative for Hanzo, Harumi, and Kuai Liang
Hanzo is, understandably, heartbroken about Harumi choosing his rival over him, but he knows Kuai Liang is a strong, wise, and compassionate man, the type of guy he'd want his own daughter or sister to marry, and puts his love for the woman in his life over his sexual desire for her. He can't bring himself to attend the wedding, but he sends the happy couple wedding gifts: a warm yellow blanket for the inevitable day that Sub-Zero gets cold, and a naginata* for Harumi to defend herself from any rogue Lin Kuei with.
The trade for Liang's domestic bliss? Hanzo hassles him constantly about taking care of Harumi, and they constantly squabble over her welfare. Harumi accuses them of acting like, well, an old married couple.
*Naginata were traditionally women's weapons, which women of the samurai class would defend themselves with while the men were off at war. Obviously, Harumi could've benefited from one.

UMB News: Violent Crimes in Quincy Raise Bias Concerns Among Some Activists, Academics
Dr. Peter Kiang, director of Asian American Studies at the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development, and doctoral student Kim Soun Ty were quoted in a newspaper article about recent violent attacks against Asian Americans. Dr. Kiang and 24 others from the Asian American Studies program in December attended the sentencing of Brian Kenney, who assaulted two Asian American victims, in remembrance of the 1983 stabbing of Vietnamese refugee Anh Mai in Dorchester.
Dr. Kiang said he is concerned with justice and compensation for the victims’ families and looking for long-term solutions to anti-Asian hate that has sparked crimes across the country. “As an Asian American Studies academic unit of the public university, we will take great responsibility and care to continue teaching in our courses about the causes and consequences of anti-Asian violence, nationally and locally,” he said.
