Yukimi, ya know, lead singer you'd more recognize attached to Swedish outfit, Little Dragon, drops other gem(s), "Sad Makeup" and "Winter is not Dead". And her album, "For You" due to hit all platforms on March 28, will surely be the buzz for spring into summer, 2025! Hope you know, this acclaimed jazz singer once carried the weight for another Swedish band, Koop before Little Dragon-fame? You did know that right? C'mon, get it together :) Peep her solo debut, released last year!

Goodbye Volcano High #10☄️ - Zara The Silent Gamer

I had an interesting time with Goodbye Volcano High, a game about dinosaurs in high school coming to terms with existential thoughts and feelings at the end of the world. Unlike a lot of other end of the world scenarios in films, television or other media, Goodbye Volcano High goes for a more optimistic togetherness with it's ending. That being said, it still has to tackle more serious topics before arriving at that ending. But this game is also in part a teen drama, dealing with the chaotic world of High School.

Visually, the art for this game is unique and at times delightful to look at, blending a mix of manga expressions and, a style close to that of a good webcomic.

It's mechanically simple and easily intuitive with it's BioWare-like menu of different optional sayings and actions. It's essentially a visual novel but the characters have actual animation rather than a static frame staring at you.

It tackles sensitive topics such as deadnaming and misgendering with the games main character Fang but, I believe that it deals with this issue in a delicate and tasteful manner that a lot of media still unfortunately cant manage. However, I do have an issue with an incident that threads itself throughout the narrative and becomes the principle breaking point later on. The idea that if you don't directly tell your friend an issue you're having, you have any right getting mad at them for not automatically understanding your issue pisses me off. I hate it when people do this because as someone with autism I already struggle with social queues. I have had to have this conversation with adults older than me, sometimes by decades, telling them that I can't read minds. If you don't tell me directly what the issue is, how do you expect me to understand and fix the issue you're having? I hate it with a passion.

The only other issue I had was that near the end of the game, it suddenly crashed and I lost part of the original recording and had to restart the game from the beginning. I wished that games, not just this one, had chapter selections, so you can go back to certain areas of the game if needed or just because. Especially since it auto saved meaning that ten to fifteen minutes of footage was all that I was missing.

Overall, despite my issues I had a good time with Goodbye Volcano High. 3.5/5.
