So story time at alton towers today

Earlier I posted about the smiler, first ride I went on with my aunt, really fun wanted to do it at the end.

We get there about 5:15 and decide to do single rides because fun!

I get on the kart last on the second row. Others set off before us like two or three. We go off, do the ride and we stop right before we go into the boarding platform.

And I'm like 'oh it's fine we will roll forward in a minute.'

We don't.

Eventually we are all panicking because we are wondering if the kart after us (THE ONE WITH MY AUNT) is still going or not.

We look behind us and on the last drop we see the kart on the edge of dropping down the last drop luckily it's stable from emergency stop.

I say there for 20 minutes before I get off. I go to exit put down my details and wait for five minutes for my aunt to appear.

Nope.

I tell a staff member that I'm waiting on my aunt, and I'm told that it's all okay and they are working on getting the kart down.

I collect her bag with my phone, her phone, keys, money and cards and I go to the shop to wait for her.

5 minutes pass by

15.

20.

By now I've called my girlfriend (Yes I have a girlfriend, she's beautiful and so caring <3) and told her what's happened and say that I'm waiting for my aunt.

My step mom calls me after I text her that I need to call her.

I tell her what happened and she tells me to stay in the shop.

Now a minor, in a new place, with repeated music and laughing, with hyper active emotions and sensitivity to the sounds of certain noises (shouting, crowds, buzzing, repetative noise ect.)

Is not a good mix

So I'm just standing in the corner spacing out, eyes focused on the ride exit for my aunt.

10 minutes she comes out in one of those foil blankets and she twirls like a Disney princess.

As someone who is genderfae (microlabel under genderfluid), I have a lot of different experiences with gender.

I just wish someone told me sooner that it won't go like "today I'm a girl" "today I'm an enby" but more like ,,, "today I am a swamp witch" "today I am a feminine victorian vampire boy" "today I am a forest goblin collecting people's stares about my gender expression like shiny rocks on the ground" "today I'm an androgynous pirate lady"

Like,,, sure, are those real genders? I don't fucking now. If a cisgender person asked me what I identify as that day, would I answer like that? No, definitely not.

But to my genderqueer, trans and genderfluid friends; do you get me? I can't be alone with this, right?

The year is 2024, 8 years post release, and Pokemon Go not only finally gives trainers the ability to have more than just the default hair style and one of four eye and skin colors, but decided while they were there to completely blast every other Pokemon Game in the world out of existence by removing Gender entirely and giving the player customizable body types complete with separate sliders for Weight, Muscle, Shoulders, Chest, and Waist

so I’ve loved pokemon pretty much my whole life- I collect cards, I’ve watched all the show, I own and play the games. The first Pokémon game I ever played was Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and I received it for my 8th bday. I’ve played through it multiple times and some of my best memories playing video games have been made playing that one game.

anyways, I decided to start a new playthough tonight, but with my new name and identity, as my last few playthroughs were from before I realized I was trans.

and oh my god.

hearing professor oak say that “welcome to the world of Pokémon, son” genuinely brought tears to my eyes. experiencing that one little monologue in the beginning, having him ask me my name and calling me son healed so many scars I’ve collected over the past few years.

Every time I’ve had to walk into the women’s bathroom, every time I get misgendered, every time someone tells me I’ll never be a boy was forgotten in that one moment. All because this fictional dude Ive looked up to since I was a kid called me by my name.

Thank you Pokémon Let’s go Eevee for being there. Even if you’re just a bunch of code in a beat-up Nintendo Switch, you watched me grow up and become the person I am today.

RANDOM FACT: Iris is really sensitive to textures and physical touch. It makes finding outfits a little difficult for her, considering Ferelden (probably) doesn't have a lot of great options in the way of textures, but because of that she got pretty good at making alterations to outfits. She is generally touch averse, though with permission, which Alistair is sure to always ask for, she's usually fine.

Had an interesting dream last night involving werewolves, where for one section of the dream I WAS the werewolf. Then, for the next, it went back in time and instead dumped me in the role of the people who were hunted by the werewolf
