Now is a beautiful opportunity. Yesterday, now was filled with opportunity, and tomorrow, now will present even more opportunities. Now is all that there is. It’s OK to have goals, dreams, aspirations, and plans. But if you aren’t finding joy, growth, satisfaction, awareness, and release… then all of now’s moments will present overarching vibrations of overwhelm, disappointment, frustration, and general misalignment. What’s happening right now for you? Look up from your phone look around the room that you’re in. There’s only one person there in control of how good you can feel right now. It’s you. In this moment find one thing that feels good. Doesn’t have to be poignant, it doesn’t have to be inspirational, heck, it can even be mediocre at best! I’m looking around my room and finding joy in the phrase on my coffee mug because every time I see it it makes me smirk and laugh just a little bit. It could possibly be one of the most accurate statements about me. “I have the vocabulary of a well educated sailor.” See? Pretty simple when you tune your mind. The hardest part… The tuning! The Virus the World thinks Has Gone

I once wrote a blog entitled ‘My life after Covid.’ A little premature perhaps, two and a half years in, I am ‘four walled,’ confined to my home, and confined within my mental and emotional disability, and the virus isn’t finished.

The virus the world thinks has gone, hasn’t gone. Not talking about and addressing something doesn’t means it’s gone, it just means they’re not talking about.

It is important the world learns its valuable lessons, through a global crisis, and act accordingly. The pandemic isn’t finished, and unless the world conforms to what it knows it is dealing with, this can come back to bite. In 2022, we are seeing cases in the UK increase again.

Aristotle, Greek philosopher, once said, “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.” The light is accepting it happened and finding a way through that works for all of us, not just a select few.

Given some of the decisions and undertakings by Governments around the world, you would have thought it was finished, but the UK is recording new cases of Covid, therefore it would be prudent for us to live with more caution and continue to wear masks.

Something that really cost to me everyday is forgive, I'm admire people who in just seconds forgive the hurts that others did, for one simple reason: I don't allow myself to forgive quickly.

I don't know why my heart is so vulnerable, through small things I feel sad, desperate and hurt, this is terrible because constantly wounds that I thought they were healthy, actually are bleeding.

I don't like this feeling of resentment, although I don't change it and I recognize not letting go it continues to hurt me, for this I need to learn how forgive everyone, included myself.

Happy. So incredibly happy. Today I had a hard time suppressing my happy (not that I need to) but it was just overflowing and for no particular reason. And this may seem silly but for most of my life I've felt the opposite. How can someone with no real issues be so sad ALL the time? Why couldn't I just be happy? And I'm not talking the "poor me" sadness. I wasn't envious. I wasn't stuck in bad relationships. I was just sad. But that's what depression is. That's what depression does. It steals your happiness. I can't begin to tell you how freeing it is to just be. To just feel the emotions I was meant to feel. I hear it often.."healthy and happy!" .. but until experiencing it myself, I had no clue. I thank God everyday for giving me the gift of health. I won't take it for granted again. My body was mad to move and I was made to live. Shane nodded at the twins thing. Then shrugged. If he could find her, then he'd be okay with that. Actually having her around would put him a whole lot more at ease. Less seemed to go wrong when they'd stuck together. "Can not find. Do not know," He informed her with a frown.

Lilly grinned and slowly moved her hand away,“ good,” she chuckled softly,“ do you mind if I ask you how far you live from here?”

Shane wasn’t sure how to answer that one. He’d been living in the forest, showering in gyms when people weren’t there or in rivers and mainly either stealing food or hunting, usually opting for the latter. On the one hand, he could simply answer yes and not elaborate. On the other he could avoid the question. “Some…. distance..” He answered. That wasn’t quite as good an answer as he wanted to give…

Lilly nodded understanding the vague answer,” alright, I gotcha,” she smiled slightly,” so how about this, you tell me anything that you are comfortable telling me, or I will be alright if we just sit in silence while we eat,” she told him.

Shane felt relieved that she didn’t push further. Listening to her arrangement, he thought it over. It allowed him to lead the conversation, which he wasn’t very good at.. but it did help him feel more comfortable. He nodded. He had to think about what he wanted to say.

“I have sister…” he decided that that would be okay. Maybe he’d be able get some assistance in finding his twin. Shadow was out there looking for her and Jake, sure, but Lilly seemed nice. Besides, he liked talking about Shannon. He hadn’t seen her for years and missed her.    

Lilly rose a brow,” oh nice! Is she older or younger?” She asked as she took a bite of her food and waited for his answer. Usually she would look around while waiting, but she wanted to make sure he knew she was truly interested in what he was going to say.

“She is same age,” Shane explained, smiling a bit. If she were here, she’d probably be talking Lilly’s ear off. She always did better with people than he did. He sniffed his food a second before he too took a bite. Wow! That was really good. He hadn’t had anything like that since Shadows last visit. He very quickly took another bite, incredibly happy with the food.  

“ Oh nice! So you two are like twins then?” Lilly asked as she watched him glad he seemed to like the food,” uh..this is probably gonna be a no, but do you think I’ll meet her someday?” She questioned after a little while.
