Trope/Prompt: Lifted By The Neck

Fandoms: Super Mario Fandom, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

Main Character: Luigi

Content Warnings: Near chokeholds, near electrocution, romantic tension

Word Count: 609

After centuries of not writing, here is another entry for the Bad Things Happen Bingo. This one (which went through many changes) was inspired by the Luigi and Bowser film scene and saying, "What if this happened in Dream Team and how we thought the context was?" Since I like giants, monster/human relationships, and realizing you have a crush, I used that as the jumping point for the prompt, Lifted By The Neck. By far, this is the shortest and possibly least dark of the entries so far, but I'm glad how natural the scene went while writing it.

When I see Jason and Bruce acting like the stereotypical "prodigal son and gruff but loving father" (in canon!) my blood boils.

Jason died. Bruce did not avenge him, not even "playing by the rules", so not even by arresting the Joker. He didn't do JACK SHIT after his boy was murdered. And once Jason came back, Bruce slit his throat in order to save the life of the man who murdered him, and then left him to die in a burning building.

They should be unable to coexist in the same room let alone speak let alone have a "difficult but ultimately loving relationship". I hate you DC I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE

#the enormous injustice of what happened to Jason is hard to even process #he's one of the most mistreated mainstream characters I've ever seen (as in mistreated by the writers and directors)#this boy died and his family didn't lift a finger and suddenly he comes back and everything is his fault #it's his fault for dying it's his fault for being traumatized it's his fault for suffering it's his fault for being angry it's HIS FAULT #while Bruce keeps being heroic and stoic and in the right even if he slits a boy's neck in order to save his murderer's life #because how dare Jason demand love and demand justice and demand his pain to be seen and heard and acknowledged #aaarghbgvnhgrghenvvfkj I know this is nothing new but I'm hella stressed so this is going to be my emotional outlet for today apparently #bruce wayne #jason todd #my meta

one thing i love about sukugo (esp with true form sukuna) is that sukuna can so easily manhandle gojo, just grab him whenever he wants and lift him up and maneuver him however he pleases. it's all so new for satoru. but fuck if it doesn't make his heart do little jumps every time (his conflicted mind later realizes they're happy jumps)

cannot stop thinking about lupa and juno's reactions to jason's death. god did juno feel it when he died? did she hear his string get cut? did she wail loud enough that all of olympus heard it? what was it like realizing the boy she loved like a son was dead? was was it like watching his father not even shed a tear? was she the one to tell lupa? and on lupa's end, how angry do you think she was? this is her pup. her youngest pup. he was so young when he first started, when juno first gave him to her? he learned how to roughhouse with her packmates. he learned to fly with her! did she snap at juno? did she scream and curse and blame juno? did she howl mournfully?
