Hi everyone, my friend started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and would really appreciate your support. Whether you donate or share the fundraiser, any kind of help counts. The proceeds will go towards supplies needed to hold an after school tutoring and support program for kids in their community. The one being offered before has been stopped due to funding. So a few of the parents have decided to start one of their own and volunteer their time to help kids get the support they desperately need. Please help me show support to this cause by donating any amount you're comfortable with and/or spreading the word.

How To Spend A Day in London, ON While Exploring Wortley Village!
Tumblr media
London, Ontario, known as the Forest City, is full of hidden gems, and one of the most charming neighborhoods to explore is Wortley Village. Nestled in the heart of Old South, Wortley Village blends historical charm with modern culture, offering a vibrant mix of cafes, boutiques, and green spaces. If you're planning to spend a day exploring, here’s the perfect itinerary to make the most of your time in this unique area!
Morning: Start with Coffee and a Stroll
Begin your day at Black Walnut Bakery Café, a beloved local coffee shop known for its artisanal coffee and delicious baked goods. Grab a freshly brewed coffee and a buttery croissant or one of their famous muffins. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to start your morning.
With coffee in hand, take a leisurely stroll down Wortley Road. The tree-lined streets and heritage homes set a picturesque scene, and you’ll quickly see why this neighborhood has been voted one of Canada’s best communities. Pay attention to the beautiful historical architecture, dating back to the 19th century, adding character to the village.
Mid-Morning: Browse the Shops & Boutiques
After your morning coffee, it’s time to check out the local shops. Wortley Village is home to a variety of unique boutiques, offering everything from handmade goods to vintage finds. Curiosities Gift Shop is a great place to explore, offering one-of-a-kind gifts, jewelry, and home decor. If you love books, stop by The Village Idiot, a quirky independent bookstore full of literary treasures.
For those who appreciate fashion, Neo Vintage Furniture & Clothing has an eclectic mix of stylish clothing and furniture pieces. Each store has its own personality, making shopping in Wortley Village a truly enjoyable experience.
Lunch: Savor Local Flavors
All that shopping will work up an appetite, and Wortley Village has some excellent dining options. Head over to The Sweet Onion Bistro, a cozy eatery with a delicious menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their gourmet sandwiches and salads are a must-try, and their patio offers the perfect ambiance for a relaxed lunch.
If you’re in the mood for something heartier, check out Plant Matter Kitchen, a 100% plant-based restaurant serving up organic and ethically sourced meals. Their Buddha bowls and vegan burgers are not only healthy but packed with flavor.
Afternoon: Enjoy Nature & Art
After lunch, take a break and enjoy the outdoors. Walk over to Thames Park, a beautiful green space perfect for unwinding. Located along the Thames River, this park features walking trails, picnic areas, and even a public swimming pool in the summer months.
If you’re an art lover, make your way to Art With Panache, a local art gallery showcasing work from London artists. The gallery is a wonderful place to soak in some creativity and perhaps even purchase a piece of art as a keepsake from your trip.
Late Afternoon: Indulge in a Sweet Treat
No trip to Wortley Village is complete without a stop at London Ice Cream Company. This iconic spot offers a vast selection of locally made ice creams with unique flavors like Canadian Maple and Black Raspberry Thunder. Enjoy your treat while sitting on one of the village’s many benches, people-watching and soaking in the neighborhood vibe.
Evening: Experience Wortley’s Nightlife
As the sun sets, Wortley Village transforms into a lively evening hub. For a casual drink, visit Idlewyld Inn & Spa, a historic inn offering a cozy lounge where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a craft beer in an elegant setting.
If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, head over to Wortley Roadhouse, a favorite local pub featuring live music, a great selection of drinks, and a welcoming crowd. Their pub-style menu and friendly service make it a great way to end your day on a high note.
Final Thoughts
Wortley Village is a perfect blend of history, culture, and community, making it an ideal destination for a day of exploration in London, ON. Whether you’re sipping coffee at Black Walnut, browsing local shops, or enjoying live music in the evening, there’s something for everyone in this charming neighborhood. Gosaikunda Lake Trekking
Gosaikunda Lake Trekking in Nepal
Gosainkunda Lake trekking falls within the Langtang National Park. It is a journey to the sacred Gosainkunda Lake situated at an altitude of 4300m. Revered by both Buddhists and Hindus, the lake is visited by hundreds of pilgrims during full moon in August.
Gosainkunda  lake is part of folk culture of Tamang community who are the chief inhabitants of this area. It is believed that the lake was visited by Guru Rimponche during his travel to Tibet and drank of its water to relieve of food poisoning. Similar mythological references are attributed to Hindu God Shiva who is supposed to lie prostrate under the water. Tamang Shamans from all over the surrounding villages make a special pigrimmage in their traditional garb, beating their traditional drums (Dhyangro) as a way to invoke their gods.
The journey involves crossing Laurebina pass (4609m), the highest pass in Langtang region that offers spectacular views of Langtang Himalayan ranges  such as Langtang Lirung (7250m), Dorje Lakpa (6988m), Yala, Langshisha etc. You will also visit sacred Kyangin Gomba and Shing Gomba along with Langtang Village which was devastated during the April 2015 earthquake.

Llámame loca, pero hecho de menos Foursquare 🥹
Me había acostumbrado a que saltara notificaciones avisando de los lugares para incluir las fotos y opiniones. Me encantaba cómo funcionaba.
No sé cuándo dejé de usarla ni porqué, ni sin sigue existiendo o no 😅
