Please stay on my skin, stain my clothes, exchange breaths. Carve your existence into mine, go beyond just memories, leave a tangible scar. I don’t want to just remember you

Every fall into love involves the triumph of hope over self-knowledge. We throw a cordon of love around the chosen one and decide that everything within it will somehow be free of our faults. We locate inside another a perfection that eludes us within ourselves, and through our union with the beloved, hope to maintain a precarious faith in our species.
~ Alain de Botton

Black Veil Bride
My Black Veil Bride loves me
But is too afraid to admit it;
She is great at hiding
This particular secret from me
And I know all of her tricks.
My Black Veil Bride adores my words
As she grins greatly when I speak.
I stop but she wants much more
Like a virgin discovering porn
For her I use brilliant vocabulary.
My Black Veil Bride is hurt;
A piece of porcelain that’s cracked.
Betrayal from a wicked church;
Somebody will forever burn
For placing a knife in her back.
My Black Veil Bride is alone
After the disappearance of her mistake.
So I took her to my home
Where she could never be alone
But cries when she awakes.
My Black Veil Bride loves me
Even when she makes me doubt.
She is great at hiding
This particular secret from me
Especially when she finds the way out.

"You are different."
"How so?"

somehow through the colored hair, and makeup,
and in between every meltdown,
riding along through all my reckless choices
and careless efforts to change my entire being
he caught of a glimpse of
who I really am,
and he liked me;
no, he loved me.

Slave me into your routine, kiss me before the sun could, kiss me on places only the sun would, for I live the day my toothbrush find its home in your bathroom sink, the day my name feels old in your lips

The common world stood quiet inside of his heart chambers. Without migrating to the hights of his glorious mind, where his essence was kept locked from the eyes of an indolent. A place known only by him, radiant and abundant in refined thoughts.
No one could have understood a word. Because he didn't think with a mortal mind, but spoke with luminous cadences, in ancient tongues, where the flame of the heart collide with the integrity of the mind. Pure and powerful.

I loved you like a man loves a woman he never touches, only writes to, keeps little photographs of.

Marionette (8-1-23)
Pluck, Pluck, Pluck
You pluck at the strings of my heart
The sounds you enjoy from your personal harp
Pull, Pull, Pull
You pull on the chords tied to my arms
Wrapping them around you in a selfish embrace
Tug, Tug, Tug
You tug at the rope around my neck
The rope you call love tied like a noose suffocating me
Yank, Yank, Yank
You yank at the threads on my legs
The threads that pull me away, banishing me from your life
