One of the earliest examples of Leo’s “I’ll do my own thing to accomplish our goal without discussing it with my team first” is in episode one. It’s super, super quick, and ultimately inconsequential, but it subtly sets up a great precedent that I think is very interesting.

When the boys need to grab the medallion from Splinter without Splinter noticing, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie huddle together with Raph taking the lead in trying to devise a plan to get the mystic device. Meanwhile, Leo slinks away and grabs the device by clocking the situation (by knowing his father well enough to predict his actions - something he does with each family member multiple times in the series) and making a move on his own.

It works out perfectly fine, and is ultimately the best move, and it’s honestly okay that he didn’t consult everyone for something so small when it’s such a non issue to get it, but it nicely sets up how this tends to go in the series, including how it goes in the movie.

To be honest episode one is actually really good at setting up a lot of things for each character in the long run, this is just one example that caught my attention, as small and unassuming as it is.

Trying out a mix of my own style and the game's. I can't seem to get Narinder to look quite the way I want him to, because of course that precious bastard cat has to be difficult. >:\ I was expecting the Bishops to be a lot harder to draw, but they were pretty cooperative. I decided to take a few creative liberties with what Leshy and Shamura are wearing under their cloaks. Mostly because I find it funny to ban Leshy from freeballing down there, and also because I wanted to incorporate the many bandages Shamura has for their eldritch form in some way.

ALSO I GAVE THE APPROPRIATE ANIMALS BACK THEIR TAILS BECAUSE BOTH THEY AND WE WERE ROBBED D:<

splints came across four off-brand carebear key chains in the a pile of trash as he was looking for a safer place to hide in new york, and well. four toys, four kids! the boys are like a couple weeks old so tiny keychain plushies are giant and perfect for them. they each kinda pick a favorite bear too which splints finds endlessly amusing.

(he actually kinda very loosely starts calling them names/nicknames based off the bears they chose lol. though around age four or so they all pick their own new names -- the new names of course being pulled from a book of renaissance artists. :) mikey was hyperfixating on the pages covering the sistine chapel, so he immediately called dibs on the name Michelangelo, and the others just kinda shrugged and went with it. (im working on that comic currently actually lol))

AT TIMES THESE MORONS DOING THIS BOMBARDMENT OF INFLAMMATORY SPOKEN DIALOGUE THRU NEARBY SPEAKERS AS IN RIGHT NOW WILL GO ON AND ON UNTIL THEY CAN GET A HEATED REACTION OUT OF ME AND THEY WON’T STOP UNTIL THEY DO.  IT IS LITERALLY TRYING TO DRIVE SOMEONE CRAZY EVEN IF JUST TEMPORARILY TO IN FACT GET A HEATED REACTION OUT OF THEM.  THEN I SUSPECT WHOEVER THE SHMUCK IS OR THE ONE BEHIND IT GOES AROUND ASSERTING THAT WHOEVER THEY OR SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT TO IS CRAZY.  IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME IF, AT TIMES, I HEAR ONE THING AND ANYONE WHO CAN LISTEN HEARS SOMETHING ELSE IF ANYTHING AT ALL.  IF YOU WEREN’T HALF CRAZY BY THE TIME  YOU TRIED TO EXPLAN THIS TO SOMEONE THERES PROBABLY A GOOD CHANCE THAT THEY WOULD THINK YOU ARE.  I THINK THIS IS ALL ON PURPOSE.  IT IS SO INVOLVED AND SO OUT OF THE ORDINARY IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON AND TO FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF.  IN ADDITION, I SUSPECT THAT THE ABUSERS WILL INVENT NONSENSE, USE VOICE CLONE APPS TO INVENT STATEMENTS OR ADD A WORD OR TWO TO ANYTHING EVER SAID ALL TO EITHER DISCREDIT THE SUBJECT OR TO CAUSE OTHERS TO BE ANGRY...
