Prologue
⚠️ : Blood, Swearing
Y/n was the second youngest member of the sully family. Born on 2157, he is one year younger than Lo'ak and Kiri. Y/n was born with a streak of white hair and the color of his skin was lighter than an avatar. He was also a bit small compare to his siblings. Physically Y/n was told that he would be weak and not as strong as a normal avatar, this was said by the other scientists seeing that Y/n had a hard time breathing right after he qas born, but Jake believed that Y/n is just as strong as his siblings.
One thing that concerns them is Y/n's hair. It was never seen before and Jake had to explain to Neytiri back at Earth there are some people with heterochromia that could result different colors in their body. Neytiri might still be confused about it but when she saw Y/n for the first time she immediately loved him. The only left is how others view him.
Growing up Y/n never really interacted with others because he could feel the weird stares from them even if he was a child. Some of them have already gotten used to Y/n's appearance but the other kids might see his hair a bit weird, resulting in Y/n finding it hard to make friends. But he got his family so why should he be worried?
Tumblr media
"Wait for me!!" Little Y/n said as he tried to keep up with his siblings, the kids were running through the forest trying to hide from their parents as they were playing a series of police game their father taught them. "Don't be too loud Y/n! They'll hear us" Kiri said to him while running. Neteyam leads the pack as they went under the leaves and roots of the trees. He stopped and looked at his younger siblings, "Let's split up so we don't lose immediately like last time"
They immediately scattered and Y/n follows Neteyam to his hiding spot. "Y/n? Go you need to hide" Neteyam pushed Y/n away "b-but we always hiwde together" Y/n said as he grabs Neteyam's hand with both of his own. "Y/n..." Neteyam can't stand his baby's brother cuteness "Alright alright you can hide with me but don't be noisy" "Yay!"
"Y/n!" Neteyam shushed him as he giggles
Not even a couple of minutes both of you can hear Lo'ak screaming and running away as your father's voice was not far heard. Neteyam peaked through the small crack between the rocks and saw Lo'ak being drag by his father to the jail area. "Alright, Y/n I need you to stay here until either I get back or dad"
"Okay...but return fast" Y/n held up his little pinky to Neteyam. He smiled and seals the pinky promise, then he sneakily went outside to try and save his stubborn other brother.
Y/n was left alone in a dark hiding spot, minutes went by and he hide there patiently waiting for his parents or Neteyam to find him. He was getting tired and bored of waiting.
He can't help but get excited when he heard a rustle, and thought it was someone coming to find him so he just gets out of his hiding spot. But when he got out he instead saw an adult thanator looking at him. Y/n screamed and runs away as it started to chase after him.
Jake and Neytiri were busy chasing around the other kids and keeping them in place when suddenly they heard Y/n's scream. They both looked at eachother with panic in their eyes "Oh my Eywa, Y/n!" Neytiri shouted, Jake took off running towards the direction. Praying and hoping he'll be alright.
Y/n ran as fast as his little legs can take him but the thanator was getting close and closer every minute. Luckily Y/n saw a small opening under a tree that was located near a ledge that leads to a pond. He immediately tries to get there but before he could the creature clawed one of his leg, causing Y/n to fall over the ledge. He rolls down and landed near the pond. At this point Y/n was shouting and crying for his dad, the pain on his legs didn't make it better either.
The creature landed infront of him, ready to attack again when Jake finally caught up and throws the spear at the creatures abdomen causing it to immediately fall and scram. Luckily he had a spear because he had just finished hunting today.
"Y/N! Oh my god, no no no.." Jake held Y/n in his arms carefully, his hand was stained with Y/n's own blood. "D-daddy..I-I'm scared" "I know baby, I know come on we'll get you home. Stay awake for me alright?" Jakes tries his best to stop the bleeding but then Y/n screamed "It hurts daddy!" Jake was shaking at this point because Y/n was loosing blood. He carefully lifts him up in his arms and began to ran back while carefully trying not to make the pain worse.
"I-It..hurts..." Y/n managed to say as his eyes were getting drowsy little by little. "Y/n! Wake up! Come on don't sleep, everything's going to be fine- baby come on be strong. We're almost home" Jake keeps on repeating it but as much as Y/n tried to stay awake, the pain and exhaustion gets to him eventually.
Y/n can hear his father shouting for him but he can't make up the words. Before Y/n passed out, the last thing he hear was Neytiri's scream
Y/n slowly opens his eyes and saw that he was in a room full off machine and some are attached to him. Y/n began to panic and tries to get up but the doors immediately opened "Y/n!" He saw his mother came into the room and his first instinct was that he wanted to be held by his parents.
He reaches for Neytiri and she went to Y/n's side, holding his hand and hugging him. Y/n sobbed a little as Neytiri kisses his forehead to comfort him while thanking Eywa for saving his life.
Not long after Y/n heard another footsteps and it was Jake, with a baby in his arms. Y/n knew immediately that it was his baby sister. Jake gives the baby to Neytiri and went to lay next to Y/n carefully and he leans into his father's warmth.
Jake wipes away his tears and also kisses his forhead. After Y/n stopped crying his attention shift to the small sleeping figure. "What is her name?" Neytiri smiled at him before answering, "Tuk. Tuktirey te Suli Neytiri'ite" "Tuwk. She's so small" Y/n repeats, and Jake chuckles at his son.
Y/n tries to remove the wires attached to him but Jake quickly stops him "Don't, Y/n."
"But.." Y/n quietly say as Neytiri held his hand. "I know... we'll get if off as soon as you're better alright?" He said as he stroked your hair.
"Is your leg still hurting?" Jake asked and Y/n shakes his head "Can I still play with Lo'ak, Nete, Kiri and Spidew?" Y/n asked
"Of course you can, but first you need to rest so you can get better" "But I want to sleep in my bed with daddy and mommy... I don't want to sleep here.." Neytiri squeeze Y/n's hand reassuringly. She can't stand seeing her child in this state. When Jake came back with Y/n, she was scared to death seeing him bleeding and unconscious. She was also close with her due and she doesn't want to lose a child on an important day.
Y/n was out for a couple of days and Jake had to make sure that Neytiri isn't stressing out because it might harm the baby. Neytiri was heartbroken because Y/n was so excited to meet his little sister. Thankfully Neytiri was able to deliver safely and the baby was healthy.
Y/n had to stay there for a while and he hated every single second of it. He felt scared and alone. He cannot see his siblings yet other than Tuk who was aslsep in his mother's arms mostly. Neytiri and Jake make sure to take turn to visit Y/n every single day.
He thought that everything would be back to the way it used to be but since that event Y/n was forbid to be out of Jake's sight or even go out to the forest alone or with his siblings. He was only allowed to go if either Neytiri or Jake was with him. In result Y/n spends his time almost everyday at home.
At first he was alright with it, thinking that Jake just wanted to protect him. But as time passes he started to notice that he also was constantly overlooked by his father and when he asked him to go and train together with Nete and Lo'ak he would always refused. Sometimes Y/n was upset with his father and often felt ignored by him until to the point where he felt like his father forgot he existed. All of this started when the sky people came back, of course it was the more reason he wasn't allowed to go out to the forest.
Tumblr media
<Present day>
Y/n was with his grandmother, Mo'at. It was really something he would do around the camp. He only ever went out with either his parents and it was only on special occasions. Y/n was dying of boredom and he would always felt sad and jealous when the others can go out and play while he would have to stay behind. Tuk would sometime sneak out with the rest but Jake was too soft on her and she would get away with it.
Well let's say that Y/n didn't have the same privilege as Tuk. And sure the event he had was traumatic but sometimes he longed to be in the forest. He had asked Jake about it and his answer was always like "your not careful enough"
He would spend his time learning about making things from scratch, listening to music/radio that Jake gave him, and helping around the camp. Sometimes helping Kiri tend to the wounded.
Suddenly Tuk came in jumping with joy "Y/n! Come on! They are here!" Before Y/n could react Tuk takes his hand and drags him out of the tent.
Outside he saw Kiri and Spider "Y/n do you feel better?" Kiri asked, and Y/n responded with a nod. "Why did you sneak inside there bro? You know that place isn't for playing around.." Spider commented. "I was just curious" Y/n folded his arms in annoyance. "Plus dad already scolded me, so sadly I don't need anymore scolding monkey brain." Y/n chuckles a bit before running to catch up on Tuk "Hey! It's monkey boy. Not monkey brain!"
Tuk ran to their mother while Y/n noticed that their father looked pissed. He looks at his brother, Neteyam and noticed that he is injured. He knew where this is going so he just greeted his mother first, "Are you feeling alright Y/n?"
"I'm okay" he responded quietly and hugged his mother. Neytiri hugs him back and stroke his head, yesterday Y/n accidentally inhaled a black powder from opening a bullet in the armory. He coughed uncontrollably and had a hard time to breathe, luckily Norm and Jake was there.
Neytiri never hated those weapons more in her life and for sometime she was upset that they are raiding the sky people's weapon. As he was treated Neteyam and Lo'ak stayed beside him, Y/n was always their 'baby brother' since they were kids. Not only that, because of his white hair he was always picked on by other kids and his brothers are the one who always defended him.
After greeting his mother, Y/n stared at Neytiri and asked "Mother, when can I join you and dad? Also can I please try and seek my own ikran? I'll be careful.." Neytiri couldn't resist his son's pleading but she can't do much if her husband hasn't agree with it. "When the time comes you may, you know your father is very cautious of the sky people" "But what if my ikran comes by itself and friendly? Like Kiri" Neytiri chuckles "Your not Kiri, you are Y/n." She caress Y/n's cheek gently as he huffs in disappointment, then Tuk joined the conversation "What about me mommy?" "You know the answer Tuk" Neytiri said as she picked her up
Y/n looked at his brothers who were being scold by their dad, Y/n couldn't stand it anymore, it is always the same thing again and again. Lo'ak gets into trouble and Neteyam always tries to protect Lo'ak from their father's wrath. But this time their father keep on scolding them while Neteyam is injured. Finally Y/n speaks up "Neteyam is hurt." Jake looks at him "Yes. I am aware-" "then we should treat the wound" Y/n cuts him off. It was silence for a moment until Jake speaks again "Kiri, help with the wounded."
"My brother is also injured" Kiri said implying to what Y/n said earlier. "Father, I take full responsibility" Neteyam tried to ease his father's wrath but Jake responds back "Yes, because you are the oldest and you must behave accordingly." Y/n grabs his mother's hand and looked at her. Neytiri understood what he meant and finally speaks "Ma Jake, your son is bleeding"
"It doesn't matter, mother."
"Yes it does. It could get infected" said Y/n. Jake looks at him before looking at his wife. "Go in and get patched up" Neteyam was dismissed and the others went along with Kiri except Y/n.
Jake looks at Lo'ak "You must be aware that you almost had your brother killed. You are banned from flying for a month." Lo'ak stayed silent, accepting the punishment
Since the sky people invaded back Jake has been quite hard on his sons and Y/n being the youngest was also included. Despite that Y/n still can't venture out to the forest anymore since they have to go on hiding and he was forbid to go to the forest alone even though he was already old enough. Lo'ak and the others were allowed only until eclipse but Y/n was still not allowed. The worse part is that he never gets an explanation from Jake.
Y/n remembers the time back when he was younger his father was not this strict and he nevers get mad at them, "Look at me" Y/n was snapped back to reality. He looked around and Lo'ak was already gone.
Jake crouched down to look at his youngest son, Y/n slowly looks at him. He never spends anymore more time with his father as he grew older because Jake was so focused on Lo'ak and Neteyam. "So how are you feeling?" Jake asked, Y/n was surprised by the question "I'm fine.." was all he could say. He wanted to hear those words since yesterday but Jake left because there was a problem.
"Y/n...I know how much you want to be out there but we both that you're not ready yet" he said while looking at Y/n. Jake always knew deep down he can't keep him forever in the camp because Y/n was just as stubborn like him. This wasn't the first time Jake disscuss this with Y/n because he would always ask him if he has the chance. Y/n wanted to protest but he can't because he still respects his father.
Jake then stands up and began to walk away, Y/n looked back at his father and mustered up the courage to stop him. "Dad! Then can we please spend time together? I want to go out and explore....and I missed you" the last part was very quiet but Jake hears it. Jake thinks for a moment before looking back at Y/n, his eyes was not as grumpy as before. "Underneath the big old tree?" Y/n's ear perked up, he was happy that his father still remembers that place. Y/n nodded and Jake left to do his other work.
Y/n went inside the tent and as usual it was lively and noisy because mostly it was Neteyam hissing from the pain while their grandmother treat his wounds. "You alright Nete?" Y/n asked, "Never been better- ow!" he winced again. Kiri voiced her opinion about using Yalnabark to Mo'at but she reminded her who was the tashik here, Y/n knew that Kiri was going to be a great tashik one day, after witnessing her relationship with Eywa he couldn't help but be amazed by her. He sat beside Lo'ak and stroke his hand, although he was younger than Lo'ak, Y/n has always been there to comfort him. Lo'ak looks at him and leans his head on Y/n's shoulder.
Outside, Neytiri approached her lover "What is it" Jake asked. "Neteyam and Lo'ak try to live up to you. It's hard for them."
"I know" Jake answered
"And Y/n. You are hard on them." Neytiri added, "I'm their father. That's my job" he told her. Neytiri puts her hand on his shoulder and looked at him "This is not a squad. This is family" Her tone serious. Jake stops whatever he was doing and exhale for a moment "I thought we had lost him. It's the same feeling when Y/n had that accident and that memory replays on my mind"
Neytiri looks at him for a moment. It was a traumatic event for the family especially when Y/n was the youngest at that time. Neytiri cups his lovers face and makes him look her in the eyes, "Ma Jake. He is here, with us. Alive and safe, can't you see that?" "He was only four when that happend. If only I had been quicker on-" Neytiri interrupts him with a kiss which is something rare "Stop blaming yourself for something that you cannot prevent" Jake still blames himself with what happends to Y/n and just hours ago he almost lost his other sons.

Y/n's POV
The next day went just like I predicted. I was so stupid to think that it could come true. Dad has problems to take care of so he can't spend time with me. Again. I can only think positively that there would always be a next time or a next day. I was extremely sad and upset with him so I went inside my tent to make an accessory for Tuk, at first I felt fine when dad said that to me.
But then now I felt like someone that's.. not even there, useless compare to my older siblings. I wasn't strong like my brothers, or smart and special like Kiri or even as bright and joyful like Tuk... A tear suddenly dropped down from my eye without me even realizing, dad doesn't care how I feel. Am I really that weak?
Suddenly someone came into the tent, I quickly wipe my tears "Y/n are you crying?" It was Lo'ak...Shit, I forget he was grounded.
~~~
Y/n was silent for a while to calm down his feelings, "I was just upset the accessory didn't came out as I wanted" Lo'ak rolls his eyes "You'd never cry over something like that, are you having a bad day?" "I'm not having a bad day."
Lo'ak replied a bit mockingly "You suuuree? Is it because of you getting rejected by a girl again?" "Stop it Lo'ak. I don't like anyone" "So why are you crying?" Y/n looked back at him "I'm not!" "Woww getting defensive are we, yea....you were probably crying"
Y/n clenched his fist and throws the unfinished accessory to Lo'ak "Ow! That hurts you meanie..." "Leave me alone you skxawng!! I HATE YOU!" As much as Y/n loved his brother, sometimes he gets on his nerve "So what if I'm crying?! It's not your business!!" Y/n was shouting at this point and his eyes began to water again. Lo'ak realized that something was really hurting his baby brother. Out of instinct he hugged Y/n.
Y/n hits Lo'ak shoulder "Let me go! You idiot!" He tries to get away from Lo'ak hug but that plan quickly failed.
After calming down, Y/n felt his brother stroking his head trying to comfort him. It was something Y/n would always do to Neteyam and Lo'ak whenever they had a bad day. "It's because of dad isn't it?" Y/n stayed quiet. "Y/n listen to me your not weak" Lo'ak says but Y/n scoffs in response "I can't even defend myself from the bullies and I don't have any kind of freedom. If I'm not weak I could've joined you guys out there"
Lo'ak pulls away from Y/n and holds his shoulder. "Then how about we go an a little adventure?" Lo'ak was smiling at this point and Y/n knew he was up to something. ".....you mean like going out?" "Yeah, while your big brother is here let's go out and explore. I'll take you to our hideout!"
Y/n hesitates for a while, he was afraid Jake would get mad at him. "We'll be home before they'll be here, no one has to know" Y/n thinks for a while before saying "Alright. I haven't seen the forest for some quite time either"
Tumblr media
Y/n can't believe this, he was really going out again into the wilderness. Lo'ak was leading them at front and Y/n was at the very back of the line as he was watching over Tuk. Honestly, Y/n didn't agree with her coming with them but everyone always loses with Tuk.
"Lo'ak, are you sure it's safe for Tuk to come with us?" Y/n said as he jumped from one root to another. "It's fine, there's me, Kiri and you"
"But why would you bring her in the first place?" Lo'ak turn to Y/n and Tuk "The honking princess. I'm gossiping. You must not go out to the battlefield. I'll tell mom if you don't take me." Lo'ak said mockingly and Tuk sticks her tongue out in response. "Come on guys! You're so slow" Spider said and they continue their little adventure.
Tumblr media
After entering the forest, the others went along while Y/n stayed back for a while. It's been along time since he went into the forest and it was as beautiful as he imagined. He sees various types of plants and animal, and he can hear small chirps here and there, he even met his favorite animal the fan lizard. He slowly walked through the forest admiring everything. He then came across Kiri, sleeping on the forest ground.
He planned waking her up but he saw that she looked so peaceful. It was as if Eywa was with her, the ground around her beating as if it was alive. He decided to give her some time and went somewhere else.
As he went deeper he was stopped when a woodsprite approaching him.
Tumblr media
Y/n smiles and overs his hand to it and as it landed on Y/n, his stripes glowed and he felt like a tingle resulting in him giggling. Another woodsprite came and land on his head and another.
His stripes glows even brighter and brighter, Y/n suddenly heard his name being called so he pulled away from the woodsprites and as he walks he saw the ground around him changed, it was full of flowers
"What the.."
"Y/n! Where are you?!" He heard Lo'ak shouted. He thought that maybe he just didn't noticed it before so he ran back to his siblings.
Time passes and they were walking back home when Lo'ak suddenly noticed something on the ground. Y/n looked over it and saw that it was like a na'vi footprint but different.
"We're always supposed to be home by eclipse" Tuk said commented
Lo'ak and Spider looks at the footprints again "Way too big for a human" "Avatars?" Spider asked. "Maybe, but they're sure not ours" they began to follow the footsteps "What are you doing?" Kiri asked. "Shh, I'm tracking" Y/n knew Lo'ak was going to follow it
"I don't think we should follow it" He said to them but none of his siblings listen to him. Lo'ak keeps on moving while the others follow.
Y/n sighs and grabs Tuk hand, hoping one of them would at least listen to him "Let's go home" "No! I also want to know" She refuses. Y/n turned to Kiri and saw her following the rest. Y/n had no choice but to follow his siblings since he wasn't familiar with the way home.
'Dad is going to kill me..' Y/n repeats those words in his mind
Tumblr media
The atmosphere was quiet and no one dares to make a sound. Y/n immediately knew where this is was. He remebers their father warning them not to come here. Y/n was about to say something but Lo'ak covers his mouth and pointed in front of them. Y/n froze when saw avatars surrounding the old shack.
"Dad is going to ground you for life" Kiri whispered but Lo'ak just shushed her in response. "Bro, we've got to check this out, let's go" "Lo'ak no!" Y/n shout-whispered at him while grabbing his arms. Lo'ak looks back at Y/n, "We might need to report this to dad, me and Spider will go out so stay here" He answered whispering back. Y/n gave him a 'you serious' look and whispered back "I'm coming with you, if anything both of you are very stubborn" "sounds fair then, let's go" Spider said before going first silently
The three of them sneak from behind the bushes and trees to take a better look. "Bro, that's where your dad and my dad fought" Spider said and Lo'ak commented "That's your dad actual suit" "Holy shit..." both of them looked amazed
"Both of you are unbelievable.." Y/n mumbled grumpily. He saw the avatars going outside and talks to eachother about something. "Better call this in" Lo'ak said. "No bro, we're gonna get in trouble" Spider protest but Lo'ak just takes Y/n's hand and drags him along "Let's go"
Lo'ak immediately called Jake and the others we're listening while Y/n just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.
Y/n then heard Lo'ak mentioning their names hesitantly "There's me, Spider, Kiri... Tuk-" Y/n looked at him dead in the eye hoping he wouldn't say his name but Lo'ak didn't seemed to get it
"-and Y/n" Lo'ak looks a bit scared talking to his father and admitting he brought Y/n who was not allowed to go. Y/n can't listen to his father's voice because he doesn't wear any device but then Kiri takes his hand and Tuk's as Lo'ak said "Yes sir, moving out."
"What did dad say Kiri?" Y/n asked. "Of course he told us to get out of here, it's dangerous" Kiri replied and added "Lo'ak is going to be in a lot of trouble and none of us can save him now"
Y/n looked at her "Believe me, I wish his ass get spanked by dad"
Y/n's POV
We immediately stand up and began to retreat. Kiri kept on saying to Lo'ak that he's going to be in so much trouble and hoenstly I agree. Tuk was running infront of us so I immediately catch up to her and grab her hand. "It's almost eclipse, come on" Tuk said and in a second I heard something near us and immediately pushes Tuk behind me as we keep walking.
I turn my head to the group "Lo'ak there's something-" Suddenly someone grabs me and pulled my tsaheylu causing me to scream. The avatar from before held me still so I can't move.
"Y/N!!" My siblings shouted for my name and just like that we were surrounded by the avatars before. Lo'ak and Spider immediately prepares to fight them but they were holding guns.
"Put it down! Or I'll shoot!" I hear one of them say. I tried to fight back the avatar that was holding me but she yanked me up the ground by my hair and held a knife to my throat "Drop it or he gets it!" All of my siblings looked at me and I saw Tuk crying.
"L-Lo" I managed to say while I was in pain. Lo'ak looked at the avatar holding me furiously and finally said "Drop it" Spider lowers down his weapon and they immediately take a hold of everyone and forced them to kneel down harshly. "Get down on the ground. Stop fighting" one of them said as they harshly grab on Kiri's hair. "Check them for weapons" "Kiri!" Everyone was screaming and my head is hurting.
I can't focus on anything, I look at Lo'ak who was treated roughly and Spider. Tuk was scared and crying as they did the same to her. I was also finally set on the ground but her grip was still the same, not letting go and tears rolled down from my eyes seeing my siblings in pain. Tuk was so frightened..
"Tuk.. Tuk calm down, it's alright Tuk" I say to Tuk hoping she would calm down but she saw me crying shouted my name's and Kiri's.
"Be calm" Kiri said to her suprisingly calm although I knew she was also hurting. The soldiers checked us for weapons. After that they gathered us in a circle, the avatar women still has her knife up to my throat so I can't struggle much.
Tuk was looking at me, "Look away Tuk" I said to her shakingly and she did. I prayed to Eywa that our parents can find us soon and I heard the leader speaks, I turn to look at Lo'ak and he was also looking at me. I could see guilt and worry in his eyes, all of us are held captive by some unknown avatars.
~~~ (There's a lot of hair pulling in this scene I don't even know why 💀)
The colonel takes a look at the kids "What have we here?" He said and looked at Spider, probably confused to why there was a human but quickly shifted back it's focus on the others. One of them held Kiri's hand "Look, Colonel. Check it out. 5 fingers, We've got a half-breed" Kiri struggles and the avatar pulled on her head again.
He then turned to Lo'ak "Show me your fingers" Lo'ak looked back at him and raised his middle finger at him. Colonel only chuckles as he turned to Y/n. He sends a signal to his comrade and she lowers her knife from Y/n. "Would you look at this, a new hybird I suppose" Colonel said as he strokes Y/n's white hair. "You reminded me of someone.." he mumbled and Y/n stayed quiet. Eyes glaring at the Colonel as he reaches out and inspects Y/n's face left to right.
"You're his, aren't you?" He asked
Y/n tries to move his face away but the woman yanked his head upwards causing him to winced in pain. Lo'ak hissed at them "Don't touch him!"
He turns to Lo'ak amused. He walked towards him and grabs him by the hair, "Where is he?"
Lo'ak looks at him innocently "Unfortunately I don't speak english...with assholes"
Colonel answered him with a broken na'vi "Where is your father?" Clearly pissed. He pulled on Lo'ak's hair making him groan. Y/n's tail flicked left and right, scared that the soldier will do something to Lo'ak.
"Really? You wanna play it this way" He pulled out a knife and held it infront of Lo'ak.
Y/n's POV
"Don't harm him you fucker!" I shouted to him in english and he immediately stops. Lo'ak and Kiri stared at me before panicking.
He drops Lo'ak and approched me instead. "Y/n!" "No! Stop!" Kiri and Lo'ak shouted continously. "You seems to care for this little crybaby" He grab me from behind so I was facing Lo'ak and he inched the knife closer to my throat.
"Y/N!!"
I can feel the sharp edge piercing my skin. My siblings looked at me in horror and Lo'ak was fighting and pleading for him to stop.
"Hey! Hey! Don't hurt him please, stop it!" Spider shouted to the colonel and he got his attention. The colonel looked at him and drops me to the ground as I breathed out relieved.
"What’s your name kid?" He asked Spider
"Spider, Socorro" The colonel looked at him and asked him to be let go. He kneels infront of Spider and spoke out a name that I haven't even heard before "Miles?"
Spider looked at him with hatred "Nobody calls me that."
"I'll be damned. I figure they sent you back to Earth"
"Can't put babies in cryo dipshit." Spider replied and Colonel just looked at him as he stands up.
He uses his device and started to send coordinates about where we are. They pulled us up and force us to go back to the old shack.
They tied our hands and I was pushed to the ground beside Lo'ak. "What a freak" I hear one of them say. I completely stayed still, even though I've been hearing it for years it still bothers me in some way.
Lo'ak helps me sit up and hissed at them while they laughed. "You alright? Don't listen to them" He pulled me close and looked at my wound. "It's not that deep, I'm fine." I reassure him. His face was upset and sad so I just leaned on him. Sure the wound stings but it's bearable.
He held my hand, trying to comfort me. I was exhausted and my whole body ached at this point.
I heard an audio being played and they are pointing out it was dad and mom. I peeked over behind me and saw that they were watching a video of them battling. The colonel looked at me "Now I know why you're so familiar. A spitting image of your mother"
I hissed at him and turn away from them.
Hours passed by and the sun had already set. It was getting pretty dark. I was being held by the avatars when I suddenly hear a familiar calling. My ears perked up, trying to locate where the sound was. I look at Tuk and she seems to notice it too.
It was mom, I let out a small smile knowing that our parents are here. The others began to notice and stand on their ground on guard.
I saw that Kiri was praying to Eywa, the avatar told her to shut up but she didn't listen. But then in a flash the avatar that was holding her got shot in the head.

The soldiers pushed away the kids and began to fire at Neytiri. Lo'ak triggers the smoke bom on the soldier and began to bite his way out of their grip. The others followed and as they began to run one of them grabbed Kiri's hair but got shot. Y/n was behind her and the colonel grip his hair, pulling him back as he fall.
"Lo'ak!" Y/n shouted in full panic. Lo'ak turned around and tries to go back for Y/n but Spider holds him back. "Lo'ak! Keep going!!" "LET GO! THEY HAVE Y/N!" "DON'T BE RECKLESS! JAKE AND NEYTIRI IS STILL THERE!" Spider shouted back at him. Lo'ak was conflicted but he knew that if he goes back the situation might get worse.
Quartich pulled Y/n beside him as he take cover. Y/n tried to run but Quartich wrapped his arm around him and reloaded his weapon. Y/n shouted in pain and his wound was pressed down. After he was done he covers Y/n's mouth to prevent him from making any noise and points his gun at him.
"Is that you, Mrs. Sully? I recognize your calling card!" Quartich shouted. Neytiri's breath hitched as she knew her son was being held by him. Quartich instructs one of the soldier to sneak around and kill Neytiri. Y/n tries to shout to warn his mom but his mouth was shut.
"Sh sh... don't want to ruin the surprise now do we?" Quartich said.
"Why don't you come on out Mrs. Sully? You seemed to drop one of your kids here. Why don't we have a little trade hm? Your son for our unfinished business."
Neytiri thinks for a while very carefully as she also ensures her other children are already at safety. She took a deep breath. Now she only have to save Y/n and kill the man holding her son.
"Demon! I will stop you as many times as I have to." She censored some of her words because she doesn't want Y/n to hear it.
"You and the corporal have been pretty busy haven't you? Got yourself a whole litter of half-breeds, I found one here looking exactly like his mother."
Quartich drags Y/n out of hiding. "Would be ashamed for this one to pass on early". Neytiri could hear Y/n muffled scream.
Y/n saw one of the soldiers pointing to where his mom were at and he started to trash around hoping his mother would noticed. As the soldier attempt to fire, an arrow suddenly shot him. Neteyam came in view.
Neytiri quickly shot quartich in the shoulder resulting his grip on Y/n to fall. Y/n quickly ran to where his mother were, he tried to go to Nete but the soldiers were in the way and he saw Jake pushing Neteyam out of the way.
"Mom!" Y/n shouted. Neytiri was not far up the branch above him. She quickly pulled Y/n up and began to run. As they were running, a rocket gun was fired at them, Neytiri and Y/n falls down to the ground but Neytiri quickly gets back up "Y/n! Get up!"
Y/n's ear was ringing but his mother pulled him up and they began to run again. They met Kiri who was shouting for Spider's name. Y/n looked down as saw he was hit, the soldiers were coming closer and Neytiri drag Kiri out from there.
Y/n was upset that Spider was taken from them. But that feeling soon was replaced with huge relief as he saw the rest. "Nete!" Y/n shouted as he ran to hug him. "Y/n! Are you okay?" Neteyam was looking for injury and saw that Y/n's neck had a cut. Neteyam looked at Lo'ak who were looking down. "I'm fine Nete" Y/n said as he looked at Kiri who were crying that Spider was taken
Y/n's POV
"Y/n." Dad called me, I looked up at him. His emotions were unreadable, I didn't know if he is upset or what. "Dad-"
Before I could finish talking he immediately noticed my neck "Don't talk, your wound might get worse" he said to me. I instinctively shut up and look down.. dad is probably mad at me after what I did. "I'm sorry" I whispered. He walked closer to me and pulled me into a hug. "There's no need to apologize I'm glad your safe"
I hugged him back and Tuk joined. Definitely was not expecting a hug but I could use some of that. After a while all of us went back to the camp. Mo'at was taking care of my wound when Tuk suddenly came inside
"Y/n, I think we are leaving"

ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: jake sully x male reader (+sully family)
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: There were many struggles that came with fatherhood—you must find a solution for each one.
ᴀɴᴏɴ: jake and reader are like the dads of the sully children, basically the sully's having gay dads??
ʀᴇ𝐐: yes ~ ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 6565
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: mentions of death (lighthearted) never happens tho, swearing, much worrying about children, surrogate neytiri referring to your kids as hers too (idk just in case)
Tumblr media
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: so. i've got a lot of things to say. that's why i'm putting a second a/n at the bottom. - two gays cannot have an avatar child if they can't have children therefore surrogate Neytiri <3 - my first attempt at writing a full sentence in Na'vi, y'all are probably not fluent in it but i hope it's correct. - regrettably, there's only one scene with Tuk and only one mention of Spider - less about the relationship between jake and reader, more about the children
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Neteyam was a blessing.
Him and Neytiri both.
When she agreed to be a surrogate for your children, you were both over the moon, over each of the three of Eywa'eveng.
Neytiri knew it best, the stress of having a child. Though it was all her, her body, her belly, her birthing, you and Jake stuck to her side and stressed with her. You could see her pain, in her eyes, and Jake said he felt it himself.
The musings did not help Neytiri through the pain.
Omatikaya welcoming ceremonies consisted of everyone in the village, close family, friends, acquaintances, everyone rounded up to welcome the newborn. But this one was special, for there was one mother and two fathers. Strange as it may have been, the three of you knew there'd be plenty more to come.
When Jake held him up towards the sky, calling the name, "Neteyam", you knew the name truly belonged to him, even if the newborn had yet developed characteristic traits.
The first year was not pretty. If it weren't for Mo'at and Neytiri–and thought it may be harsh, it is the truth–Neteyam would probably be dead.
Jake always knew there was a thing with babies. They didn't have a sense of danger. On Earth, some of the deadliest stuff they could find was a fork and an outlet. On Pandora, however, there were much worse things.
He was aware of this, both of you were, of the Hammerheads, Thanators, Viperwolves that each posed a dangerous threat to your child. Even herbivores, like Flathead Rams, could trample over your baby like he was nothing. He couldn't roam, either, for he didn't know the difference between a poisonous plant and a safe one, and the differences were scarce. Not to mention, they grew close to the ground. Even the carnivorous plants were huge enough to swallow him whole.
So you both watched him, most of the time.
When the hunt called, however, it was only one of you. You took turns.
Why? Because the mighty Toruk Makto, Olo'eyktan of the Omatikaya, once war chief of three tribes at once, was not exempt from taking care of the baby.
Besides, he kind of liked it. He liked looking at his boy, knowing that in all ways except biological, Neteyam was his.
He loved when the little baby wrapped his four little blue fingers around one of his five large ones. He was so tiny, so defenseless. He had to take care of him. Couldn't let him out of his sight.
He was also so, so cute.
Neteyam lets out a little yawn, stretching all his limbs except for the hand holding his father's finger.
"Aww," Jake coos. "dinner's in a bit. The game's not even here yet. You can sleep."
As time passes, and Neteyam drifts off in his father's warm, large arms that encompassed him, Jake gets lost in the sight and his thoughts. Neteyam was his child. He never thought he'd have one.
He doesn't register the sound of you propping your bow up on the wall, or your footsteps, or a portion of the fresh hunt being placed next to the fire.
In fact, he doesn't really notice you at all until you sit next to him.
You wrap your arms around him, one around his back, the other around his stomach below his arms and Neteyam, and settle your head into the crook of his neck.
Jake laughs lowly, your nose against his neck's skin slightly ticklish—he didn't think the Na'vi were ticklish, hadn't learned it until he was victim to your fingers. "Kxì, my love. Tired?"
"Ngenga pllertxe fura tawtute lì'fya... ‘Ìnglìsì. Tìftang si." (You're speaking that sky people language... English. Stop it.)
Ever since the first time, he's memorized the words, therefore knows their meaning. "You know I don't speak Na'vi well. Right? Or are you too tired to remember?"
"Perfectly conscious enough to remember." You laugh lazily, "Just love to tease you."
Jake presses the side of his head against the top of yours, the best affection he can offer with Neteyam in his arms. "Zola‘u nìprrte’. Happy?"
"Yes."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Where Neteyam was yours, Lo'ak was Jake's.
But first, came the unexpected Kiri. A month after Neytiri affirmed that she would have your second child, Norm and Max called with a panic.
One morning, as bored eyes strayed from scientific screens and microscopes, Norm discovered a bump on Grace's avatar's body. There were many theories, but each was discredited. The tank was safe, you were all sure, even if you did not know anything of the amniotic fluid within it. It wasn't scratched, didn't show any signs of opening, it displayed nothing at all. So what could be the cause?
The answer went unanswered for another two months. Until, at the third month, Norm realized that the size lined up with that of a human pregnancy. It was already the size of a seven month old baby bump. Which meant... soon enough, the vacant avatar would be having a baby.
There was hardly a discussion of who would raise it. Jake knew that he was indebted to Grace, that even though he had yet another child on the way, whatever came of Grace's avatar was his to take care of.
Kiri was born first. Lo'ak was soon to be on his way. However, the season for the first communion with Eywa was approaching. Though having the three of them commune with the Great Mother at the same time would be wonderful, the first communion was not to be delayed.
While Jake helped Neteyam attach his queue to the Tree of Souls, you helped Kiri.
Her eyes, her smile, toothless even, her dilated pupils... She was elated. She was so happy, and you mirrored her smile too.
This wasn't your kid, wasn't Jake's either, but you would raise her as one of your own.
Lo'ak and Kiri... they both came out with five fingers and little eyebrows. It was a scary thing, to have children that looked different from everyone else. Jake knew that, with an Avatar body, it was possible. Seeing it himself, though...
Neteyam, being oldest, required a little less care. He slept by himself at his crib. The newborns slept with you whilst the two of you waited for Neytiri's hunt.
Lo'ak was cuddled up in his father's arms, Kiri in yours. Her fingers were wrapped around your smallest finger, what Jake would call his ring finger. "Five fingers.." You muttered to yourself. You'd counted them many times over.
Jake hears you. "And eyebrows."
"Just like you." You muse with a laugh. Jake laughs along too, but you notice the difference; his laugh lacks its usual humor.
"What is it?" You ask, concerned lace with his words like the weaving of a necklace.
"Nothing." He shakes his head. He couldn't worry you, especially because he wasn't even sure if these five fingers and eyebrows would make any difference.
"I can tell there's something." You remain stubborn, scooting even closer to him. It was one of the qualities he actually loved about you, as annoying as it could be. "You can't evade me, darling."
"Darling? You picked up the word?"
"Jake." You're deflecting.
"I know." He sighs, "I know. It's just... They're different, Kiri and Lo'ak, different from others their age. It's not something I want for them."
"You think it'll affect the way they are treated?"
"Yes."
"Darling." You repeat the pet name more stern now, calling for his attention. He lifts his gaze from his baby boy to meet your eyes. They're yellow, they're golden, just like his. "You were different. But now you are not. You're Olo'eyktan, one of the us; one of the people, one of the Omatikaya. These children are yours, and they are mine. They are part of the Omatikaya."
"But they–"
"Extra fingers, extra hair on their face. The eyebrows are expressive, lovely. The fingers are good, help with dexterity." You tilt your head forward, "They will be fine."
Just as the same as he yearns to hold you, he wishes he believed you. For now, however, he settles on your only point of contact being your lips, and his assured belief about these children being that you and he would love them to the ends of the Earth.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The differences meant nothing to Jake, there would be no change in the way he treated them. Soon enough, he'd sort of forgotten, for the most part.
What couldn't be forgotten, though, were his Olo'eyktan duties.
The problem was, you were gone for a little while. The second problem was, Neytiri was taking care of Neteyam. Now that didn't quiet seem like a problem, but she was taking care of him before you left and before he realized he had important Olo'eyktan stuff to do. He couldn't just bother Neytiri to take care of his kids! The third problem was, they were his kids! He couldn't just leave them. They were hardly two months old.
So now, he was left with a dilemma. Baby carriers.
For humans, it was a little embarrassing to, as a father, be wearing one of them. But to the Na'vi, it was just another part of life, a necessity.
Jake was a Na'vi now. He had to get over human societal norms.
"Hanging in there, baby girl?" Jake asks Kiri–as if she can understand him–who unfortunately has to take the tight space on his back.
After getting the silent answer he was expecting, Jake begins his work. As expected, no Na'vi seem to pay him any mind. They greet him just the same as any other day, the only difference being the small coos directed at his children. He's just happy they love them.
As Jake checks his daughter is safe on his back for the umpteenth time, he hears something wrong.

He stares ahead, obviously disturbed. His eyebrow furrows as he finds the camera, with a diminishing flash, being held by the scientist he regrettably called a friend.
"Norm, don't you have shit to do?" The swear word doesn't faze him, for the babies were too young to even register the word.
The scientist adjusts his exopack over his shit-eating grin. "Research, Jake." He gives off a hint as his amusement with each word he speaks, "I’m capturing the Mighty Toruk Makto in his natural form. Which is adorable." He winks.
"Uh-huh." Jake replies; contrasting his friend, he remains unamused. "Kiss the dark side of my blue–" Out of the corner of his eye, he spots Mo'at. Shit, Mo'at. She knew English and he needed to talk to her.
"You are a lucky man, Norm." Jake turns on his heels, leaving Norm behind as he heads towards the Tsahìk.
When he does so, though, Kiri turns her head as much as she can to stare at the human scientist curiously. Norm takes the opportunity.

☾⋆☆⋆☽
Lo'ak and Kiri were, relative to their brother, the same age. They also looked the most like each other, excluding their father. They both had the characteristic traits of an avatar, traits that set them apart from the rest of the clan. Because of this, you thought they'd be inseparable, best friends. Instead, they fought, and fought, and fought.
It was weird, even, that Kiri often sought out her older brother's company over her baby brother's.
These peculiarities' origins, however, were solved when you realized the common point of these arguments. Lo'ak. Lo'ak was a troublesome kid in that he loved freedom, and even more, loved to be possessive.
Within seven years, many things were taught. Jake, for one, learned much of the Na'vi language. In fact, it was practically English to him. Sometimes he forgot what language he began the sentence with, and he would end up starting with Na'vi and ending with English or mixing in a couple words in the middle.
As far as the kids were concerned, it was gibberish. At least, for a couple years. After they dominated the Na'vi language well enough, they began to learn English. Their main teacher was their father, not their sempu, so when things like this happened...
"I hate you times infinity, Lo'ak! Penis face!"
It was his fault.
After the kids' argument was swiftly dealt with (the toy had to be threatened to be cut in half, and then they stopped), Jake places the toy in Kiri's hands. "Kid, go find your brother." He sighs, "You can play with him."
"I don't wanna play with him." Lo'ak crosses his arms, stomping his foot. "He's a sucker."
"Hey, now, that's not a good thing to say about your brother." Jake presses a harsh finger against his son's shoulder. "What would Neteyam think?"
"It's true! And he needs to know it!"
"If your sempu was here, you'd be–"
"Sempu's here." You call. The kids didn't really realize you heard the beginning of what Jake was going to say. Instead, they run to hug you. Kiri drops the much beloved toy they so desperately wanted earlier, in favor of wrapping her arms around your waist.
You scoop each of them up, each held by one strong arm. Even so, knowing that the position is weak, they steady themselves by wrapping their small limbs as far around you as they can. "Now, what was it that you needed me for?"
"Nothing, sempu." Kiri shakes her head, pressing her head against your shoulder. "Just a little dispute."
"Yes. A dispute." Lo'ak agrees with the wide nod of his head, though he pronounces the word much worse than Kiri does. Seems he slacked off on their latest English lessons and somehow ignored the word "penis" that Kiri vividly recalls.
"Ooh, dispute? Where'd you learn that big word, huh?" You coo, rubbing your nose into her hair. She laughs at the feeling, it's almost ticklish.
"Dad." She replies simply.
"Yeah, well, they also managed to learn the word "penis" from me." While you gawk dramatically at your children, Jake sticks his tongue out at them just as childishly. Little suck ups. He mouths.
Lo'ak sticks his tongue back out at his own father, to which you slap him gently on the hip. "What situation requires that," You think of a suitably negative word , uglily scrunching up your nose so that the children can have something to laugh at. "despicable word?"
"Lo'ak," Kiri is quick to tell, "was trying to steal my toy!"
"No I wasn't!" Lo'ak huffs. If he were on the ground, he'd have stumped his feet. Instead, they kick the air.
"Yes you were!" She retorts.
"Which one, the one so sadly on the floor?"
At the mention of its position, they both turn their gazes towards it. Kiri dares to mutter a little "uh-oh" as her eyes find it. Whilst they are distracted by the dread building up in their bodies, you look to Jake. Go find Neteyam. I'll deal with these two.
Silently, he nods, and slips away while the children begin to make up excuses. As he walks down the river bank, he hears a shout from the house. "You're a big fat liar!"
If memory served right, Neteyam wanted to visit Neytiri. Out of all of their kids, he took to her the most.
A part of him, at the back of his mind, wonders how all his children will react once they learn who their mother is.
He doesn't indulge in the thought. Instead, he focuses on the task ahead. The path from his home to Neytiri's was one he memorized, and he made sure when he built his home that it wouldn't be a long distance.
He doesn't expect to find the two of them, Neteyam and Neytiri, outside of the house. Neither does he expect his son to be so vigorously training even after training hours.
"That's it. Remember your stance." Neytiri advises Neteyam, patting his shoulder. "You're doing great."
"Hey!" Jake greets the two. The sudden call surprises Neteyam, which makes his shot fly off to the side.
The boy frowns, but his lips soon lift as he turns to greet his father. "Hi dad."
"Hello, my son." He nods. His smile turns a little more stern as he turns to Neytiri. "Hello, auntie Tiri. What's going on?"
Neytiri opens her mouth to speak, but Neteyam taps her thigh and mouths a little something. It's not hard to read his lips, nor had he tried to hid it so hard, but Jake looks away out of respect.
Auntie Tiri nods and looks back up to Jake, "I figured he needed some practice."
"He practiced this morning."
"I know." She raises one hand up in surrender, "Practice makes perfect." She ruffles Neteyam's hair. Though coming from his dad it was annoying, it is apparently endearing coming from his aunt. "Could I talk to you in the house?"
"Of course."
She hardly waits for him to reply before she pats Neteyam on the head again and says, "I'll be right back, keep practicing."
Neteyam nods excitedly. However, Jake stops him. "No, put that down." It dampens his son's spirits, but he nods. Both of them know that something could go wrong if Neteyam practices unsupervised.
Neytiri rolls her eyes, but doesn't protest. Instead, she heads inside, Jake close behind.
"What is it that–"
"Your son, our kid, " She begins with firmness. "he came to me asking me to help him improve."
"What? He's only seven." Jake reasons, "Why would he?"
"He's your oldest." She replies simply. "Your heir, the next Olo'eyktan. There's a lot of pressure that comes with that." She spoke with experience. Between you, him, and her, she had so much more experience. He wonders sometimes how they've come to this arrangement, if she could be a better mom than he, a dad.
"Yeah… I know. But I don't give him any pressure. I make sure of it." Does he really? Are each of his words premeditated, thought out?
"He's only a year older than Lo'ak and Kiri, but he already has it ingrained in him that he has to protect them." Neytiri crosses her arms, giving him a pointed look, "Like you said, he's seven. He still deserves to be hugged and kissed."
"I try to."
"You try to?"
"It's hard when, you know…" He sighs, "your parents coddled your brother more than you."
She purses her lips, thinks it over. "I may not know about you and your brother," She begins on a lighter note. "but I know that you can relate your experiences with him with our children, your sons. At least you know what not to do. Just make sure they know you love them, and that they are still children that should play, while you still can."
"Yeah." He nods, "I will."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The children played with each other, for once not beckoning their parents into play or sparking arguments between each other.
So for the first time in a long time, you had some moments of peace.
"He reminds me a lot of Neytiri, Neteyam." You spoke in a hushed voice, wary of their young ears.
"How so?" Jake squeezes your shoulder, his arm wrapped around it.
"His smile. It's a lot like hers. Toothy, isn't it?" He was smiling right now. Though it didn't compare to some of his biggest moments of joy, his smile still displayed his growing teeth. It was adorable.
He only has to think of it for a moment before agreeing, "Yeah."
"He's good with his bow. Don't doubt that he'll make a great hunter one day. And his love for Ikran..." Your face lights up at the memories, "even though he doesn't have one."
"About that, love..." Jake begins solemnly.
You turn to him, away from your playing children, at his serious tone. "What is it?"
"Neteyam," He glances over at the boy. Thankfully, he hadn't heard him speak his name. He lowers his voice and continues, "Neytiri told me he's been trying to get better at using a bow."
"Hm, well, he's probably trying to impress us."
"And that he wanted to protect his siblings. He feels," He purses his lips, "like its his responsibility. It's what he worries about."
"Does he?" You huff, "He has asked a lot lately, about the dangers of the jungle. I thought he just wanted to look out for himself, but now that I think about it..."
"He wanted to know so that he could keep his siblings safe." Jake finishes for you.
"Hey, I wanted to play with it!"
"I had it first!"
Before either of you can act, Neteyam stands first. He gives you only the smallest of glances before pushing his siblings away from each other.
"What? Hey!" Lo'ak shouts.
"Go away, Neteyam!" Kiri struggles against her brother's hold.
At his sudden interference, the toy falls to the ground. Neteyam kicks it to his feet. "Stop fighting!" He hisses at the both of them, making them falter. "It's either one or the other. Got that? You can take turns."
"Me first!" The children scream simultaneously, Kiri finishes her sentence first by a millisecond.
"Ugh." Lo'ak groans, but he begrudgingly kicks the toy in her direction. "Fine, you can have it first. But you get ten minutes!"
Kiri grins, picking up the toy, "That's good enough."
With the argument over, Neteyam smiles. He turns back towards his own toy, but not before sparing a not so subtle glance in your direction. Seeing your encouraging smiles, his own grows larger.
"He didn't need to do that."
Jake nods, "But he did, anyway."
"You're right." You shake your head with a sigh, "We should wait for the right moment to tell him."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
That moment doesn't take long.
Lo'ak had grown restless at home, and even more at the village, so he proposed one thing: to let him and his siblings explore the jungle. It wasn't a surprising proposal, you'd allowed them to do so many times before. Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo'ak often explored the jungle; so, you allowed it without a thought.
The jungle was a beautiful place, one you were proud to call home, so you were happy that your children were falling in love with it too.
However, as curfew grows closer and your children do not return yet, your worry begins to grow.
The children had shown time and time again that they knew curfew, knew the way home, knew to come back safely. You trusted them to come back.
Your rapidly growing concern and restlessness burst, and you must find them yourself. As much as Jake had reassured you, as much as you wanted to trust them, something was clearly wrong. You had to find them.
As you mount your ikran, though, they emerge from the tree line.
Neteyam and Lo'ak prop Kiri up, helping her walk. They've got her arms around their shoulders. Together, the three of them, they're mismatched. Lo'ak wishes to run, Neteyam doesn't want to injure Kiri further, and she is weak.
You're quick to whisk Kiri up and bring her inside, whilst Jake grabs a hold of his sons and brings them in too.
You place Kiri down on your hammock, "Where does it hurt?"
"My side." She yells back, her eyes spilling fresh tears. She was scratched up everywhere, from her arms to her knees, but the most concerning gash was on her side. It was a long cut, spanning from her belly button to her chest.
"I got you, baby girl." You assure.
While you rush to patch up Kiri, Jake squats in front of his sons and questions them. "What happened?"
Neither boy wishes to speak, but between the two of them, the culprit is clear. Still, he knows that he has to wait for them to speak up. If Neteyam speaks first, Jake will know what the boy has burdened himself with. If Lo'ak speaks, he will know that the boy has the responsibility to admit his own faults.
Regardless, because none of them speak, Kiri does. She clearly wished to have the culprit, which inadvertently caused her injuries, be punished. "Lo'ak led us to a forbidden area!"
"No I didn't!" Lo'ak bites back.
"Yeah, I did." Neteyam steps forward and puts an arm in front of his brother in order to shield him from his father's impending scolding. "I convinced them it wasn't such a dangerous place."
There it was. Neteyam taking the blame. He took protecting his siblings so far, that he was willing to take the blame and the punishment for what Lo'ak did. Jake hated it, hated that he reminded him of his brother so much.
"Neteyam, you and I both know you know the dangers the most." Jake points a finger at him, "So step back."
The boy follows his instructions, but for once, not obediently. He looks down at the ground and backs off with a subtle scoff.
"Oh, so now you decide he's not to be believed?!" Lo'ak huffs, crossing his arms. "I didn't–"
"You did." Jake interrupts him, "And I need you to admit it."
"Fine!" Lo'ak shouts, "I did it! But I didn't think it would be so dangerous."
"I know that, son." Jake says, placing a hand on his shoulder. Lo'ak tries to shake it off, but he ultimately fails to do so. He settles on ignoring its heavy presence. "But you're still responsible for the consequences."
"I didn't mean for Kiri to get hurt." The boy mumbles.
"Tell that to her."
"I'm sorry, Kiri." He mumbles that too, but Kiri hears it anyway.
Though she rolls her eyes, something Lo'ak can't see because you cover her body with your own as you work away, and accepts the apology, "Fine." She hisses slightly, which Lo'ak mistakes as directed to him. The sound makes him falter.
"The two of you, listen to me." Jake places his other hand on Neteyam's shoulder, pulling the brothers close to each other.
"You should listen too." You tell Kiri. She nods.
"You should all to take care of each other, equally. That means protecting each other. Not just you, Lo'ak; not just you, Kiri," He nods in each of his kids' directions, "not just you, Neteyam. You got that?"
Neteyam nods immediately, while Lo'ak nods with a scowl and eyebrows knitted. He was displeased to be asked to act just like his stuck up brother.
"Hey." Jake shakes his son not so gently to make sure he is paying attention. "Lo'ak, I need you to protect your siblings. Because, in this world, it's not just you. It's all of us, it's this family. Your brother, your sister, they need taking care of. And if we're not there, who will do that? You. You have to."
"It's not an "if he can't do it, then I have to"." You cut in to add, "It's not a toy to be passed around. It is something you should all be doing, all the time."
"Today was just an example. Tomorrow," He gestures to the side with the nod of his head, "if things do not change, worse things can happen."
"Okay." Lo'ak nods. Though the solemn look on his face is new and different, it meant he was taking it seriously.
Jake nods too, "Good. Neteyam," Knowing that the boy will be much more affected by his words, Jake keeps it simple. "that means it's not all up to you. Don't take the fall for things you didn't cause."
"Okay." Neteyam agrees too.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Auntie Tiri loved to visit the kids. Though she knew she wasn't their mother in the family sense, she still thought of them as her own children. You weren't one to complain, much as you teased her, because it meant you and Jake could have some time of your own.
"Second time this week?" You laugh, greeting Neytiri at the entrance. "It's only just beginning, too."
"If I birthed them, I at least get to raise them." Neytiri argues. The words don't make much sense to the children, thankfully, or else you would have a lot of explaining you weren't quite ready for.
You roll your eyes and let her in. As she passes you, you walk outside. Behind you, you hear screams of delight as the children see Neytiri.
After Jake says his temporary goodbye's, he follows you outside.
He lets out a sigh of relief as the even fresher air of the outside washes over his face. "It's been a while since we got to be alone, right?"
"Just two days, my love." You remind him. "Neytiri visited two days ago."
"Hmm," He snickers, "right."
He lets out a yawn, stretches his limbs far up into the sky. As he brings them down, though, one arm not so subtly wraps around your waist. Even less subtly, it pulls you close to his side. "Wanna go for a walk?" He offers nonchalantly.
You chuckle, placing a hand a on the one he's got around you. "Sure."
The benefit of being alone with each other often was that your children were not responsibility for the tiniest of moments. It also meant you didn't have to speak of them.
But usually, as your children are the light of your life, most things end up being about them.
"Your hair's starting to dread up, love." You remark, wrapping the end of one of his locks around your finger. It was just a little strand, but the hair above clumps together.
"Ah, well, I don't have the time." He sighs, "Between Olo'eyktan duties, giving advice to folk, taking care of the kids..."
"I could braid it for you." You offer.
"I heard that takes a long time." He says, but he's done more than hear it. He's witnessed it, seen your children slouched over themselves, falling asleep whilst your fingers still nimbly worked on their braids. "Don't know if I've got enough."
"Well, we can keep it dreaded." You shrug, "Whatever you like."
"What do you like?" He retorts.
You roll your eyes. "Whatever you like to wear will be what I love, Jake."
"That's an awfully sweet," He begins slowly, coaxing a soft smile out of your lips. "lie. Too uncharacteristic of you, my darling."
You laugh. The sound is... young. It sounds young. You've known each other for seven years now, been parents for most of that time, and you've matured so much since the first time he laid eyes on you. Those laughs, ones without the worry of your children or responsibilities, had seemed forgotten. He's glad it's still there.
The conversation falters and you fall to comfortable silence; but something picks at Jake, at the back of his mind.
"Is there..." He pauses, not too sure if he really wants to mention it. He's already started, though, and he does feel as though it is something that should be talked about. "anyone Lo'ak reminds you of?"
"Lo'ak..." You hum as you think, "well, Lo'ak is his own person. He's a special kid. There's no one quite similar to him. Why do you ask?"
"He reminds me of myself. My younger self." Jake says. It was the original thing he wanted to say.
"Oh."
"Reckless, quick to jump into a fight, defensive, couldn't take the blame... I couldn't take anything seriously." He lists off things, each one putting a dampener on his mood. "A child in a man's body."
His lowering spirits were affecting yours, so you stop your walk to make sure your next words are registered fully. You take his hands in yours and begin, "Some of those things aren't always bad. Defensiveness means, well, you're protective of your loved ones. And not taking things so seriously... you can always make me happy. You can lighten any situation. As for the recklessness, well, it was always funny when you failed at some Na'vi things."
"Hey!"
"What I'm trying to say is, you're still defensive, you're still humorous in harsh situations. These are both things of your younger self and the self that stands before me." You bring a hand to his cheek and he nuzzles against it. "They are part of who you are; and those same things, they're part of who Lo'ak is. If we tried to change them, Lo'ak wouldn't be himself. All of those traits are bad at varying degrees. If we teach him correctly, he can still be himself. Less reckless, more serious, but still himself."
Much as an annoying rascal he was now, it was the Lo'ak Jake still loved, has loved for seven years. He couldn't imagine his son any other way.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Everyone loved Neteyam. It was hard not to.
Lo'ak and Kiri, on the other hand, often received many stares. It was harder for them to make friends outside of the family; harder to avoid the comments about their fingers and eyebrows. Though Lo'ak had a penchant for an argument (which had lessened ever since you began parenting him better) this was where he and Kiri agreed.
When Neteyam played with his friends, Lo'ak and Kiri often stuck together. Their differences and toy-sharing difficulties were pushed aside.
Neteyam often tried to coerce his friends to play with Kiri and Lo'ak, they were only a year younger after all, but it usually devolved into asking them why they had such funny fingers.
Jake and you often noticed it. You saw your children's awkward, uncomfortable faces. But you knew things would only be worse if you interfered. Children were often like that, picking at the little things. Just kissing your children would earn them the nickname of "sempuyä 'evi". Besides, they needed to be independent.
It was a matter that sparked concern between you.
"I was right about their differences." Jake grumbles. He subtly observed his children from above, at a high point in the village. Less people were going to spot his vigilant dad behavior up there.
"They'll make friends eventually, find people who don't care." You reassured him, but you spoke it into the world because you were really wishing for it to happen.
"Like you?" He muses.
"If you want a comparison point." You let out a little laugh.
Jake wraps an arm around your shoulder and pulls you close. Just then, a little someone breaks through the crowd of nosy kids and sticks their hand out.
Rather than judging your children or pointing out their differences, they exclaim "Wow that's so cool!" so loudly that you can hear it from up there. It warms your heart.
Lo'ak eventually found friends that actually deserved him. Kiri, on the other hand, well, the friends found her. Unfortunately, it was after that that she discovered she actually preferred alone time better than having so many people around her, disturbing her thoughts with constant chatter. So, she didn't often talk with her friends. The only thorn on her side, though, was the human kid, Spider. She tolerated his presence often. She actually even seemed to like his voice.
But while they had gotten over that problem, Jake was still worried.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Your children had yet again become a year older. In the past year, you'd taught them all so many things. You made sure Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Kiri were all protective over each other equally; that Lo'ak learned how to control his recklessness and maintain his humorous attitude; that Kiri felt connected to Eywa.
You knew that, when you allowed them to be on their own, they would be just fine.
After seven years of taking care of your children so actively, you no longer had to worry so much. It was sort of a relief.
Naturally, though, you sort of missed it.
"I want another kid."
"What?"
"Another girl would be nice." You hum to yourself, "She'd be the cutest little thing."
Once the initial shock wears off (because you don't just mention that out of nowhere) Jake finds himself agreeing. He, too, missed coddling his children. "Yeah, she would."
"Did you ever get a copy of the picture Norm took of you?"
"Of course not." Jake grumbles. "It's embarrassing."
"Only because you make it." You snicker, booping him on the nose. He responds by scrunching it up and flinching back. "I think it's rather cute."
"I only think Kiri was cute." He wipes his nose. "We can talk to Neytiri and–"
"I want her to be yours."
"What? But–" Jake shakes his head profusely, his eyebrows knitted together. "I can't have another kid turn out like... like me."
"Five fingers and eyebrows?" You ask.
"Yes." He replies immediately. "I can't have her be... different. Lo'ak and Kiri, they struggled to make friends because of their differences."
"You know that Lo'ak made his own friends."
"It took time." He argues, "Don't you remember his face, every time he came back home? It was horrible. In fact, he asked you to pull him onto your lap and kiss his cheeks over and over just for reassurance. Which–"
"Which he asked for because he loves me, not because it's uncharacteristic of him." You say, implying that Lo'ak loves you more.
Jake rolls his eyes. "I don't want to see another kid go through that again. I just want another normal kid that'll make friends flawlessly."
"There's nothing wrong with being special." You take his hands in yours. His hand was only bigger because of his extra finger, which wraps around your hand. You bring it up to show him, "Nothing better with being normal."
"Why... why can't you do it, then?"
"Because," You begin, smile lighting up your face. "even you still haven't gotten over your differences." Jake looks away. His silence to the accusation is as much of an answer as affirmation is. "This child will be proof that your differences don't make you any worse than a regular Na'vi. Because you are on of the people. You are the Olo'eyktan. You are one of us."
"How do you know?" He grumbles, but he was starting to believe you. "Did Eywa tell you, or something?"
☾⋆☆⋆☽
With Tuktirey, you couldn't be any happier.
And she came out, as promised, with four fingers and hairless browbones.
She was a pudgy little thing, and everyone loved her. You could see it in their eyes and their smiles that the kids loved her at first sight. Their toothy grins would grow even wider when they each got to carry her; even if Lo'ak nearly dropped her.
Though she couldn't even speak and hardly babbled, you could tell that you would come to love her.
You held Tuk in your hands, laying your head over Neteyam's legs. He made for a bony pillow, but you loved him so much you could get over it. Jake hugged Lo'ak with one arm. Kiri was sprawled horizontally over the both of you, her head laying on your stomach. Your muntxatan nuzzled his nose into your neck as he spoke, "I met your sempu while I was training."
"He fell from the tree branches onto the mud at my feet." You explain less graciously, causing an uproar of laughs from each of your children.
"Ah-ah," Jake breaks up the mocking laughter, "you say it's like Eywa sent me to you, no?"
"Okay, fine, I guess." You roll your eyes playfully.
Jake laughs. You can feel the deep rumble of vibrations going through his neck against your shoulder. "It was love at first sight."

ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ 2: it's a cute prompt, of course, could fulfill it with headcanons, however I wanted some Lo'ak and Neteyam struggle + scared father Jake - one of these scenes (if you saw it, you know the scene) was made using the dialogue of this incredibly fucking cute fanart. It's just Lo'ak instead of Neteyam here. - I made Jake a better father because his kids deserve better

Congrats on the 979 followers!!! 🥳
If it would be okay I'd love to request a yandere Dabi, yandere Hawks and any other yandere you may want to add in, with a darling who either loves to sleep and refuses to leave the bed for anything if the yandere is a early riser, or if the yandere sleeps in, an early rising darling who fights to escape the bed?
Again congrats 😊
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warning: Yandere behavior and some sexual hints(?)
Authors note: Thank you!!!!! That means so much. I didn't expect to get here! Sorry if this isn't what you wanted, I had to hurry this. Feel free to request again! :DD
Tumblr media
Dabi:
Dabi isn’t an early riser, more so forced to do so because of Shigaraki's tantrums. He absolutely hates waking up, but has to; meaning leaving you in a cold room, coming back with some takeout that may or may not be healthy.
Don’t get me wrong, Dabi absolutely loves to sleep in with you, something about waking up with his giant arms surrounding your body and the soft snores of his beloved gives nothing but butterflies in his stomach; calming his anger and hidden anxiety that he didn’t even know he had.
Buuut… that doesn’t mean he gets up on his rare days off to make you two nice, eatable breakfasts. Though, that doesn’t mean he can be an asshole waking you up at times.
At first, he’ll shak you awake, placing butterfly kisses on your face and shoulders before whispering with his deep voice: “Come’ on doll, get up. I made you your favorite.”
you decide to groan and roll over, pulling up the covers to ignore the now-blinding sun; he’ll think it’s cute at first, smiling: “I know.. Come’ on doll, get up.”
But the more you whine, the more he gets annoyed.
Finally, he’ll get more stern; ripping the covers off of you, climbing over you to rest on your stomach. “Come on, get up. I know you’re tired but your food will get cold, and no; I’m not re-heating it.”
Rarely, will he give in and let you sleep, but he likes to spend time with you when he’s not ‘working’. Though, if you do use the ‘puppy face’ and beg him to sleep him with you, he'll give in and come back to bed; laying on top of you with his head on you're chest.
Tumblr media
Keigo Takami / Hawks:
As he’s a Pro-Hero, he’s forced to wake up pretty early and function till around 10 pm or later. Usually, when he leaves, he always pecks your face with a few kisses, maybe blowing on your face lightly to wake you up so you can eat something.
Sometimes, he will fly over to the shared apartment to hang out with you, either on his lunch break or on his rare few minutes off; if Keigo still sees you asleep… he’s the devil waking you up.
Much like above, if you decide to whine and refuse to get up; he’ll let it slide one or two times, trying to wake you up again in 5 minutes or so. If you don’t, he will blow raspberries on your belly; tickling you while whining: “You’re killing me, [Name!!!]”
If you don’t wake up, he will huff and puff while saying “Fine!” and storm into the kitchen, ordering your favorite takeout; once it’s at the house, he will take it out, go into the room and eat near you, making loud “Mm!! So good. Such a shame I don’t have a hot [Name] near me to satisfy my other needs!” — “It would be a shame if I ate it all and couldn’t share any with my darling.”
In other words, he’s baiting you to get out of bed.
Either way, he’ll annoy you awake: slightly biting your thighs, stomach and shoulders, blowing raspberries and tickling you awake. Or, he’ll whine away about how ‘he’s dying’ and ‘you need to save me’.
On rare occasions, if he does have a day off; he will let you sleep in, yes, even into the afternoon. But, 2pm is the max.
Though, if you are just too cute and refuse to get out; he will crawl back into bed with you, cover you with his wings and fall back asleep with you, maybe asking if you two can do... special work-out sessions after you two wake up.
Tumblr media
Katsuki Bakugou / Dynamite
Much like Keigo, he also needs to get up early.
Normally, Katsuki gets up around 5am to train about an hour or more before heading to work. Rarely, does he ever wake you up, unless it's urgent. He understands that it’s pretty early in the morning and you despise getting your beauty sleep disturbed.
But, when he does have his rare day off; he likes to train, take a shower when he comes home then make you two breakfast. Usually, Katsuki will (try) to wake you up around 9am, with a nice, hot plate of home cooked breakfast and do the usual scheduled thing you two do: cuddle on the bed while watching some drama TV show.
He will wake you up much like Dabi, sure, he’ll be a bit more rougher; but still nice enough to let you wake up naturally and not have a heart attack when you see his red eyes.
“Wake up, [Name]. Made your favorite.” – “Come on. Not in the mood to play games, you’re acting like a child.”
Either if you whine and throw a pillow at him or mumble a ‘no’ and turn around to face the other way; be ready to have the covers ripped off of you, his warm hands grabbing your ankles and dragging you off the bed.
Katsuki doesn’t like wasting food, so if you decide to not want to get up, he’ll be a bit snarkier than normal and force you to get up; whether that’s shaking your shoulders, pulling the covers off of you or kissing your neck to the point it’s uncomfortable, he will make you get up.
Now, if you decide to use the famous ‘puppy face’ and try to convince him to sleep in a bit more; he’ll try to resist your pretty face but sooner or later, he’ll give in and let you sleep in for 10 minutes. Which turns out to be 30 minutes because he ended up joining you.
Masterlist | Stay well :))

✭ ✭ ✭ 𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐘 ✭ ✭ ✭ ft. dick grayson and koriand’r
prologue. Kori found you on an abandoned planet and takes you back to earth to meet her boyfriend, Dick Grayson. They sooner or later decide to adopt you.
warning(s). He/Him pronouns, Y/n is intended to be black-coded, but there is no real description of his appearance!

"Dad...?"
Y/n sat on the floor, nestled between Kori's legs as she tried to tame his unruly bed-head. Dick, engrossed in his phone, momentarily forgot about his new role as a father. However, he finally looked up and responded, "Yeah, bud?" Y/n grabbed onto his shorts, fidgeting with them for a while before blurting out, "Can I hang out with Uncle Damian for a while? Alfred said it was fine if I came over!"
Dick and Kori exchanged a knowing glance. "Are you sure about this, Bumgorf?" Kori asked as she finished braiding Y/n's hair, gently massaging his head to relieve any lingering discomfort.
"Yes! We promised not to get into any fights!" Y/n pleaded, locking his gaze with his adoptive parents and giving his best puppy eyes. Dick let out a heavy sigh before reluctantly agreeing, "Fine. But if I receive one call from Tim, telling me that you two are at it again, I won't hesitate to come pick you up." Y/n sprang up, eager to get ready for his "play-date," but not before giving his parents a heartfelt hug. Kori scooted closer to her boyfriend, tenderly caressing his shoulder as she remarked, "They're probably going to end up in another fight, you know..." Dick glanced back at his girlfriend, wearing a weary smile. "I know, but at least we'll have a few hours of silence. Hopefully."
The couple snuggled together, engrossed in watching a cringe-worthy 90s movie. Their blissful moment was interrupted by the sound of Dick's phone receiving a text message from Tim. Kori, with her head nestled against Dick's chest, muffled her voice as she inquired, "Is it Y/n?" Dick hummed in agreement, his eyes fixed on the screen. "He sent a video this time."
“Should we…pick him up?” The couple shared on last concerning glance “Nah, Damian’s been trained by The Batman, I’m sure he can hold up against a rabid alien child.” Dick shrugged his shoulders, his attention returning to the movie.

lo'ak x male metkayina reader
summary; lo'ak sees y/n almost get his shit rocked and falls in love
word count; 2.6k
warnings; homophobia, parent issues, blood, violence (hate crimes?), cussing and little gay dudes
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
lo'ak sat on the beach with his feet resting in the water. he didn't like this place. it wasn't his home and he couldn't pretend it was. "tsahey!! i'm sorry, dude! it was a joke! calm down!" he heard someone yelling and sand shuffling. before he even turned around he heard a punch land. it wasn't too hard, but it definitely hurt whoever received it. he heard someone spit, get hit again, and suddenly the yelling was much closer. he turned around to see one smaller boy- probably around 7'5- being beat by two bigger guys. "so was it not funny?" he chuckled as he tried to scoot back. lo'ak didn't know if he should help or not. getting in a fight wouldn't be the best thing for him right now. one of the taller boys got closer, but the one on the floor tripped him and tried to run. the other grabbed him while his buddy stood up. "skxawng! y/n, you're fucked!" he was about to throw a punch. y/n kicked the man who was holding him in the knee, causing him to be dropped onto the sand. the other boy punched his friend on accident giving y/n enough time to grab the one who had yelled at him by the tail and kick his ankles. both boys were on the ground in minuted, leaving lo'ak to believe his wasn't needed. "fuckers!" y/n kicked sand on the two before he ran off to another section of the beach, struggling to climb over some rocks. it made lo'ak chuckle. this boy just took down two kids twice his size but can't get over some rocks. he walked over and picked him up, gently setting him on the other side and then jumping over himself. "thanks.." y/n was quiet, which was unexpected since he just did what he did. "no problem. what were they so pissed about? i thought they were about to kill you." lo'ak crouched slightly to look closer at the boys face, his nose was bloody and there was a little blood around his lips. he had a bigger bruise forming on his shoulder, lo'ak turned him slightly to get a better look. "i made a joke- i swear it was a joke- about something. they thought i wanted their girlfriends because apparently i was staring and i said some shit like 'i'd rather have you', it was a lie. they lost it." y/n started trying to wipe the blood off of his face but it'd already dried. "it was a bit dramatic, in my opinion. looks like they almost killed you. what's this mean?" he pointed to the arrow tattoo on his back. "something about struggle and triumph. i just like it because it looks cool, but tsireya insisted it had a meaning. i don't even know how to use a bow and arrow." he was still trying to wipe the blood off. "here," lo'ak crouched down, scooping some water up before putting his hands on y/ns face to wipe off the blood, "i could teach you. maybe you should stay over here for awhile, i don't think you dropping those guys made them any happier." he tried his best to ignore the way y/n was staring into his eyes as he grabbed the shorter boys chin and started to wipe off his cheek. "i would, but i have stuff to do. i don't have food, or any of my supplies. i need to weave baskets and make jewelry." his eyes never left lo'aks. "i can grab you stuff. i'd say lay low for at least two days, even if it isn't the entire day. like come out during the day and switch up where you sleep, ya know?" he dropped his hand from the others chin, rinsing the blood off. "thanks, man."
lo'ak hopped over the tall rocks, the bag on his shoulder almost falling off. "hey, y/n!" he looked down at the boy who was drawing in the sand. he jumped up when he saw lo'ak. "what'd you bring?" he was smiling from ear to ear and standing on his toes, trying to peak in the bag. lo'ak dropped it, letting it all fall out. "some of your basket stuff, jewelry stuff, food and a blanket. i can stay over here, but my siblings might get snoopy." he sat beside y/n as y/n dug through everything. "you have siblings?" he asked, biting into one of the things lo'ak brought. "yeah, three. neteyam is the oldest, but tuk would probably be the one to follow me." y/n seemed so genuinely interested. "i don't have any. my parents don't talk to me much anymore, the made me find my own pod to live in after they found out." he picked up some string and beads and started making a bracelet. "found out what?" he watched as y/ns hands quickly moved to construct whatever he was making. "that i like dudes. they flipped out. they're trying to have another baby because they said they don't want the bloodline to end. i'm a disgrace for being so selfish and refusing to give them grandchildren." he shrugged as if it was nothing. "oh.." lo'ak didn't know how to reply. what if he liked dudes? he thought he might, but girls are cute too. his parents definitely wouldn't react that way, but what if they wanted to meet y/ns parents?
"i... think i might like guys, too. but girls are pretty cute and i've never kissed a guy or anything." he confessed. "wanna change that?" y/n joked, putting his bracelet down for a minute and looking up to smirk at lo'ak. "hey, if you're offering i'm not declining it." he winked, causing the bracelet maker to go quiet. it was obvious he didn't know how to respond after being flirted with, he probably had always been the only flirty one. lo'ak scooted closer in response to the silence. "you can tell me to stop, 'kay?" he waited for any form of consent. y/n nodded, "okay.." he leaned in closer, kissing the corner of y/ns mouth. it was where he had wiped the blood of before. he moved slightly closer with each kiss, eventually getting to his lips. they didn't have a make out session or anything, just a ton of little kisses. y/n was on his back, wrapping his arms around lo'aks neck while lo'ak held himself up with his hands on the sand.
"lo'ak?" neteyam called out from behind the rocks, startling lo'ak and y/n enough to make a small sound. before lo'ak could throw himself off of y/n, neteyam was jumping over the rocks. y/n tried to hurry and get away, but it made them look more suspicious. "woah." neteyam stared at the two, how was he supposed to react to his brother on top of some guy? kiri hopped over the rocks carrying tuk. "dude!" lo'ak flung himself off of y/n to save tuk from seeing them. "oh my god i'm going to vomit!" kiri started gagging and tuk hopped out of her arms to meet y/n. "listen guys, it isn't what it looks like. we were wrestling and he was loosing." neteyam started chuckling and kiri watched tuk. "oh yeah? his arms were around your neck. what's that move called?" neteyam stepped slightly closer. "uh- y/n? what's that move called?" he looked back, but the boy he had been kissing was too busy drawing in the sand with his little sister, both of them crouched in front of their art. "hm?" he looked up, not bothering to help lo'ak defend himself. "lo'ak. you're lips were touching. a lot. i don't think you were wrestling." neteyam started punching him in the arm. "but good for you, dude!" he walked over to y/n to investigate. y/n didn't stand up, still focused on the art. "you do realize you have to introduce us, right? and mom and dad." he walked back over to the rocks. "i'll let you do it later, but it's your turn to watch tuk."
"lo'ak, am i your boyfriend?" y/n was now playing in the shallow water with tuk. "i mean- it's only been a few days. if you want to be, you are. no pressure." he kicked a little water at y/n. "well then, i'm your boyfriend. you're mine. when can i meet your parents?" tuk was now on y/ns back, trying to climb up to his shoulders. "tonight, if you wanna." he smiled as tuk started pulling on y/ns braids to guide him where she wanted to be carried. "alright. i don't know if those guys are still mad, though."
y/n and lo'ak were getting themselves ready to go to the family meeting. they hopped back over the rocks, lo'ak once again helping y/n, for the first time in a few days. lo'aks parents were back in their pod, and lo'ak led y/n up the netted pathways into their home. "hey." lo'ak said as he turned the corner sharply, still holding y/ns hand. y/n was about to pull away when he realized lo'aks family didn't care. he was really shy about touching in public. he didn't want lo'ak to get hurt like he was. "hi!" tuk ran over to y/n and hugged him. neytiri smiled, y/n being good with tuk was a really good sign to her.
when they were all sat down, lo'aks parents started introducing themselves. y/n was really intimidated by jake, simply because he was so much bigger. if he reacted the same way y/ns parents did, he'd be dead. "how did you two meet?" neytiri asked, tuk in her lap. "i cleaned him up after a fight. almost got his ass kicked." lo'ak was quick to answer, he wasn't at all ashamed of this. "no i did not! you said i did good!" y/n punched lo'aks arm before realizing that was just a way to get him to talk. "he did do really good, actually. i saw it." neteyam wasn't choosing lo'aks side on purpose. he did see it, he just didn't care too much. "a fight?" jakes voice was slightly deeper and he seemed mad. y/n wanted to run, just to get a head start. "i- uhm.." lo'ak put an arm around his shoulder. "it wasn't his fault. he was defending himself. he did kick their asses, though. they were way taller than me, even neteyam." neytiris eyes narrowed slightly, she didn't fully believe y/n won the fight. "do you have any family?" kiri tried to break the silence. "kinda- well, yes, technically. my parents, but i don't live there anymore." everyone in the room seemed confused. y/n wanted to make a run for it. he was sure jake was about to kill him, neytiri was about to yell, and neteyam was gonna get him later. sneak up on him in his sleep or something.
"y/n!" lo'aks ears pressed flat against his head. it was the same guys who had been fighting him days before, they were still mad about it. "tsahey!" y/n stood up so fast it made lo'ak jump a little. "i'm so sorry." he ran out of the pod to make sure tuk didn't see it. she shouldn't see this. he was gonna get hurt, bad. he knew it. "fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck..." he whispered as he tried to quietly sneak down to his hiding spot. he couldn't see the boys. "i got you, you stupid little fuck!" one of the boys grabbed him from behind, scaring him so much he screamed. "no! i'm sorry!" he tried to claw himself free. "it's too late for that." the one holding him drug him down to the beach, out in the open. he put y/n down, still holding him by the upper arm. the other boy came over and stood there. one of them punched y/n in the stomach, but he wasn't sure which. he looked back to see the entire family had come down to help him. either that, or join in on the killing of him. he couldn't let himself be embarrassed that bad in front of them, he had to prove that he wasn't a weak little pussy like his dad thought. "fuck you!" he tried again to claw himself free, hoping it'd distract them from him turning around. he got punched again, but he managed to kick the man holding him in the stomach, freeing himself. the other tried to grab him, but he ran slightly farther and tried to make him trip over his friend. it didn't work, instead it made the boy catch up to him. y/n tried to run in circles, zigzags, anything to confuse him. it worked, giving y/n enough time to kick the back of his knees. once he was on the ground, he assumed he was okay.
the other boy, who he thought had been on the floor, came up behind him. he held a knife up to his neck and started taking him to the shore, turning away from the sully family. he really thought he was going to die. he truthfully didn't think he'd make it, he had fucked himself this time. he heard someone stomping- sprinting- over, so did his attacker. he dropped the knife slightly to look back, only to see the father of y/ns boyfriend towering over him. "you think tonowari would be happy about this?" he grabbed the boy by the hair, pulling him off of y/n. he took the knife out of his hand and drug him to tonowaris pod, neytiri grabbing the other. lo'ak rushed over to see if y/n was okay, hoping he hadn't been cut. "holy shit, are you good?" he grabbed y/ns chin, just like he had when they first met, to look at his face. his nose was bleeding again, the bruise on his shoulder hadn't gone away, and he was wheezing, probably had some bruised ribs. "i'm fine." y/n tried to look away. he was tearing up. he let himself be humiliating in front of the only people he wanted to impress. when he looked back up, jake and neytiri were there. "fuck. i'm so sorry. i really didn't know they'd come get me like that." y/n wiped his eyes, trying not to cry. "don't apologize, it wasn't your fault." neytiri tried to comfort him, but he was in too much pain to process what she'd said. "i'm so fucking sorry. i didn't want tuk to see that. i didn't want you guys to get involved. i'm sorry-" he was cut off by neytiri hugging him. he was about to burst into tears. his own mother hadn't hugged him since she'd found out. he really did start crying when neytiri let go and jake hugged him. even though it was only for a second, his own father had beat him after finding out. he hadn't been hugged like that for a long time.
the sully family took y/n back to their pod, gave him a blanket, and sat him down on a bed. lo'ak sat beside him and the rest of the family sat on the floor. "why were they so mad?" kiri seemed genuinely confused. "cuz i'm gay." y/n leaned his head on lo'aks shoulder. he accidentally fell asleep almost straight away. "can he sleep here tonight? please?" lo'ak practically begged his parents, and they said yes.
lo'ak turned his boyfriend and covered him up, crawling into bed with him once his parents had left. his boyfriend. he smiled every time he said it. y/n was really well known on the island, even if it wasn't for a good thing. lo'ak considered himself starstruck.

Kirishima was ur Sisters boyfriend, The Rock Head was Head over heels for ur sister But you were head over heels for him
One particular evening ur sister had to go to a job interview
“Bye m/n, Bye babe! I’ll be back late the interview will take Atleast 4-6 hours just order some take out.” (Sister name) says
And like that ur sister left. Leaving u and Kirishima alone He was a lot touchier then anyone she’s ever brung over whenever u couldn’t reach something instead of grabbing it for u he would grab u by ur waist and pick u up it was very awkward cause he was face first into ur ass..
that’s not even the weirdest thing he’s done one time he pinched ur nipple while ur sister was cooking and then he had the audacity to bite ur neck while she was walking in front of you
But anyways as soon as she left u got changed out of the clothes you wore to bed just as u took of ur shirt Kirishima bursted in
“Hey bro! You know where your sister put the lotion I need it kinda bad..?” He says
“I..I uhm It might be in the..uhm closet?” You stuttered as he inches closer to ur stomach
“You know the closest isn’t in my room right?” You say
Just like that he grabs ur waist and grips ur hip and whispers in your ear
“Your not slick. All those snarky responses and comments weren’t hiding shit and those tight ass shorts u wore had my cum on them- (he jerked off with them while u were sleeping) - so tell me m/n do you want this?” Kiri whispers
“Yes.. I do” you say slightly embarrassed
The hand that was on ur hip slowly moved down to ur cunt where two fingers were slowly inserted and wiggled around soft moans could be heard from the bedroom Kirishima and (sisters name) shared but they weren’t coming from (sisters name) there were coming from you.
“Slow down kir…Kirishima m’close..” you mumble while griping his shirt
Kirishima slowly sped up hitting ur G-spot causing you to cum and squirt on his fingers he slowly removed his fingers and stuck them in his mouth and pulled them out with a *Pop*
“That was fun right M/n ? I knew u were egging me on with those tiny shorts and that large ego” he said while laying you down and leaving to get a washcloth
You hid ur face in the pillow as he wiped you off
“I would fuck u but your sisters on the way back home time passes when ur having fun isn’t that right~” he says

Imagine:
Spending time with Kiri
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Request: Yes or No
Not me being like "wow this actress really sounds like sigourney! she nailed the voice" only to find out....
~~~
Growing closer to the pods, you glided through the water, itching for a good nights rest after a day of teaching the Sully children the way of your people. Resurfacing, you breathed in the night air and noticed the lone girl sitting by herself with her feet dipped into the water, all sorts of fish swimming around them.
"Hey, Kiri." You greeted as you neared her, reaching over and pulling yourself up to sit beside her. She merely glanced at you, letting a hum of acknowledgement but nothing more. Her tail, which still remained a subject of curiosity to you, flicked behind her and she slowly swung her legs back and forth.
"I'm sorry about my brother. He isn't usually this... difficult." Her golden eyes shifted from the water to your light blue hand, pinky twitching when she noted the proximity between her hand and yours.
"He's right." She muttered and sighed. "I'm not like my people... Or my family." She looked up at the twinkling stars in the sky, gaze softening at the sight of them.
"I see you as unique." You admitted as she blinked and turned her head toward you. "I think you're more interesting than your brothers."
"You don't think I'm a freak?"
"Maybe a little." You teased lightly and she huffed, though when she looked away she had a small smile on her face. You chuckled, gently bumping your shoulder against hers.
Sighing softly, you glanced back down at the water. "I should get going." Before you could plunge back into the familiar depths, fingers suddenly wrapped around your arm.
"Could you stay a little longer?"
Eclipse
Tumblr media
Pairings: Neteyam x male Omaticaya reader
Summary: Neteyam tells you that his family is leaving the Omaticaya.
Warnings: angst.
👴🏾 I put my blood sweat and tears into this idk if I like it yet but my youth has been evaporated. Enjoy!
You soared through the sky on the back of your Ikran. Embracing the wind with closed eyes and open arms as it rushed past you and through you with mighty force. You loved flying as much as you loved hunting. Neteyam flew beside you chanting out in excitement his voice echoing through out the hallelujah mountains.
You liked how carefree he was right now. Especially after what happened with the sky people and his younger siblings; he’s been on edge ever since Spider was taken. You tried to reassure him. You would tell him that you would get Spider back, that this time everyone was prepared, this time they would be more careful but he still worried it was in his nature. You knew his hesitation; you understood what it was like to be the eldest son- to be the keeper of your siblings. The instinct to protect and care for them overtakes you.
You took whatever you could get; this was the happiest you’ve seen him in a while. Not overthinking and just enjoying the time you two spent together. You could tell that something has been bothering him for the past few days though. Something more than the event with the sky people. You could see it in his eyes- the way he avoided looking at you, the way he would subtly flinch at the sound of your voice, or how he hasn’t slept peacefully in two days. Every time you tried to bring it up he would avoid the question. Find something else to do or quickly run to his fathers call.
“Wooo!” Neteyam cheered you smiled at his smile.
“Aye Ye Ye!” You chanted following Neteyam as he nose dived down closer to the ground riding in between the trees.you both weaved through the branches testing each others speed and agility.
“Race you back to the top!” You challenged Neteyam nodded with a playful glint in his eye as he zoomed up with his Ikran before you could even blink.
“Cheater!” You shouted attempting to catch up; your ikran screeched as you directed her up. She was just as competitive as you were craving the win. You could feel her pushing every muscle in her body to speed up. She easily whipped through the forest dodging all obstacles you faced on your descent like she knew every detail and what came next.
“Come on girl.” You mumbled with encouragement earning a hum in response you could see Neteyam on his way to the top almost at the finish line you laughed as you blasted past him in the last stretch to the top of one of the floating mountains.
You dismounted breaking the bond between you and your Ikran in a matter seconds Neteyam appeared behind you with a gust of wind.
“You cheat and still lose.” You tease watching him dismount walking towards you. Neteyam rolled his eyes
“I let you win.”
“You keep telling yourself that.” Neteyam sat a few feet from the edge of the cliff he watched as you made your way over to him but your eyes were else where.
“Wow..” you trailed captivated by the view in front of you. Your face bright with delight ; even though you have lived here all your life the scenery never ceased to amaze you. Everytime you could only stop in your tracks and stare.
“Sit. Watch the eclipse with me.” Neteyam spoke softly tapping the space next to him; you sat with no hesitation arms brushing against eachother. You rested your head on his shoulder you liked the sensation of his skin on yours, his warmth melding with your own.
Watching the eclipse was a thing you two did often- a way to get away from everyone and spend time alone. Of course you loved hanging out with Kiri, Lo’ak, Spider, and Tuk but sometimes you wanted it to be just you and him. The first time you planned this Lo’ak and Kiri were flying with you but Neteyam caught your mischievous eye with a simple nod as if he understood, both of you raced off. Once he found this spot it’s been where you would meet each other for months. Perfectly secluded and quiet, to the both of you it was special- sacred almost. You would never tell a soul about it and neither would he. A home away from home where you and Neteyam could be yourselves.
You took his hand in yours playing with his fingers the quiet overtaking you both. Even your Ikrans had a special bond they rested atop eachother behind you two. maybe it was fate all along.
“Even after so long nothing can distract from her beauty.” You admired in a mumble.
“Not even me?” Neteyam joked as if offended you snickered.
“I have plenty of years to admire your beauty.” Neteyam squeezed your hand he fidgeted his eyes drowning in guilt when you looked up at him.
“Ma Neteyam..” you called for his attention crawling into his lap and straddling his hips; blocking his view as the darkness started to overtake the sky. “Tell me what is wrong.” You pushed his braids back behind his ears while staring directly into his eyes, your hands placed on his cheeks he had no where to turn it was now or never.
“My family is leaving.” He spat out like poison but still you could see the burden slowly release from his shoulders. The burden of finding the right way to tell you he held his breath- waiting for your reaction but you were caught off guard.
“Leaving?” You repeated in confusion. “Leaving where?
“Our home, our clan.”
“What?” You pulled away Neteyam could clearly see dread forming in your eyes. This is the face he was afraid of seeing the one that made him want to defy everything he believed in just for you. He didn’t want to hurt you. The image of your exact expression stained his mind for nights as he wrecked his brain trying to figure out how to tell you; he’s been avoiding you for this reason. He knew he couldn’t handle it.
“Don’t you see? The sky people are after us. They already got Spider. You will be in danger if we stay.” He tried to reason.
“I’m a warrior. I can defend myself and I will fight with you.” You argued “Your father is Olo’eyktan his duty is to our clan.”
“Listen to me.” He pleaded reaching out for you “I have no choice.” You dodged his hands increasing the distance from him. Your heart was pounding against your chest you two have already- what will happen now. Everything that could go wrong drowned your brain, tears swelled in your eyes just the thought of being away from Neteyam was enough. You didn’t want him to see you like this.
“I’ll go with you.” You stated with a shaken tone you failed to conceal. You tried to put on a mask of strength but Neteyam saw right through it in a second. He shook his head refusing your offer, he prepared for this exact moment over and over but nothing could have prepared him for the real thing. Your face, your reaction, your tears. Each drop like a knife tearing through his heart; he wanted to hold you, to kiss you but you wouldn’t let him. Every move he made you mirrored it.
“Your family-”
“You are my family.” You interrupted. “Tell your Father and Mother that we have already made the bond.”
“They’ll kill me if they found out about us.”
“I can’t sit here while your fighting for your lif-”
“I don’t want you to get hurt!” Neteyam burst your eyes widened like he was stupid.
“And do you think I want you to risk your life?!” You shouted back. “You’re mine Neteyam. I will die a thousand deaths before I let you leave while I do nothing.” he growled frustrated at your stubbornness; your will to throw your life away just to save his.
“What about your brothers huh? You’re the only one who can teach them.”
“Thats not fair.”
“Your father trusted you to teach them, to take care of them.” Neteyam finally got a hold of your hand slowly pulling as if coaxing you towards him. “Like you, I do this for my family. If we leave we will be safe and you will be safe.” Your ears lowered in submission you were back in his lap; forehead pressed against his, the dark sky lighting you up like the stars.
“When this is over I will come back for you.” His voice low and gentle but firm. A flare in his eye with an abundance of determination this was his promise to you. To himself.
“When I am worthy I will tell my family what you mean to me.”
“You promise?”
Neteyam nodded kissing you softly. Slowly. Lingering and holding on to every last drop of your essence. His grip around your waist tightened and yours around his neck. This will be the last kiss for a long while. The last time you can feel his warmth. The last time he will hold you until his return. Unsure of when that will be you savoured this moment as much as you could. Kissing him over and over, memorizing his features, his voice, his breath on your skin. You shared each others touch. your lips danced until you lost track of time.
You were scared for him and his family; you loved them as your own. Your relationship with the Sully family was deep you also knew how strong willed they were. Together they were an army of their own.
“Goodbye Kiri, Lo’ak and Tuk” you hugged them all Kiri cried into your shoulder “I don’t wanna leave.” She confessed you struggled to hold in your tears. You hugged her tighter before letting go. You could see Lo’ak shaking- fighting against his bodies will to cry.
“I’ll miss you.” Lo’ak admitted
“I’ll miss you too.”
“Thank you for taking care of them.” Jake spoke firmly Neytiri agreed with an approving nod they saw you as their own but you weren’t theirs to take. Neytiri gazed down at you lingering for a moment, her hand reaching for your face before she pulled it back turning away suddenly soon they saddled up on their Ikrans.
Neteyam was the last to appear slowly as he dragged along, neither you could get any words out in fear of breaking down right then and there.
“I’ll see you again.” He declared to you in a solemn whisper you nodded. A bittersweet smile pulled at your lips you knew nothing would keep him away from you.
“Neteyam.” Jake called Neteyam obeyed getting on his Ikran and off they went. Just like that. It was painful to watch them fly off into the distance it was like an incomprehensible portion of your heart was ripped out with them. They played a huge role in your life and you in theirs. You watched as they flew away, when the crowd dispersed you stayed as long as you could. Neteyam looked back. You caught it from so far away, a turn of his body it was almost like you could feel his emotions. A longing gaze as the distance between you and him grew larger. A silent goodbye. One last look and he was gone. Far beyond where your eye could see.
You went to your secret spot everyday. You kept your promise to him,you taught your brothers every shred of wisdom you had in your brain. They were naturals just like you; born to fight and excelled at it. You were confident they would make fine warriors one day. It was the same routine everyday train and wait, train, wait. An endless cycle that you couldn’t wait to be over
There was news that the sky people were dealt with for now. Blown up. Sunken. Killed. So why hasn’t he returned yet. You grew restless with each eclipse that had passed. Did he like where ever he went so much that he forgot about you? He must have found someone else. Someone better. You still returned to that spot each day like clockwork . You lost track of time; watching hundreds of eclipses over and over days seemed to blend together. You pushed everyone away. Even the relationship you had with your brothers was wearing thin. Everything became difficult after a while and eventually you stopped trying.
You waited and waited rain or shine; staring at the same sky for hours. You’ve grown to hate Eywa’s beauty. You hated her empty skies it was the same everyday, no matter how much you begged, pleaded, and prayed it all seemed to fall to a deaf ear. You could never give up though your heart wouldn’t let you. The looming desire to be in his arms once more hung over you like a dark cloud. Your heart would never let go it wasn’t built that way. no matter what anyone tried to say or do it would never be enough.
You accepted the fact that he forgot about you; it was better than the other thought you had in your mind. The dark thought that plagued you. It was easier to hate him than to mourn him. So you let your hatred grow and fester with each passing day the worse it would get. Your relationship with Neteyam went unknown to everyone, no one would ever know how much he meant to you or how much it hurt when he left and you never dared to utter a word. You were alone, it was your fault anyway. You accepted it. Maybe even liked it that way.
It all meant nothing anyway. The day he left you was the day everything went dull.
Yandere! Neteyam x Fem! Human! Reader!
warnings: 𝘺andere behaviour, murder, drowning, possessive behaviour, toxic behaviour, yandere neteyam, smut, rape to consented, choking, spit kink, biting, forced mating, manipulation, impreg. Not proof read.
synopsis : y/n was never truely a fan of the na'vi, she found them too tall for comfort, scary. She wished she was never bought here by her father who had no one else to give her too. now with him dead, she was orphaned, raised by the scientists of the pandora labs. however, being too scared of the world around her, she stayed in her room, only letting few care and see her. until today.
Tumblr media
"Y/n? What are you doing out of your room?" Norm asked the teenager who was too afriad to ever leave her bedroom. The h/c girl shrugged, "felt brave today I suppose.." she admitted, and walked into the lab where she was met with Spider, readying his mask to head out into the world of non-breathable air, and people of blue. "Y/n! Your out of your room?" The boy asked, his light dred locks messy as always, his body faintly painted in blue stripes. "Yeah.. where are you going?" She asked, protective of her other orphaned friend.
"Out to see the Sully's. Wanna join me?" He offered and she shrugged, and paused, thinking it over before deciding to give it a chance. "Sure, I suppose... just stay close to me.. yeah?" She asked and he nodded, handing her a mask. "They wont hurt you, I promise.". With those words she felt atleast slightly more assured, and put on the mask, pressing in the button, allowing herself to breath. He walked out of the labratory and Y/n hesitantly followed, closing the door behind her and she was met by the world outside. She had never been out here before.
"Great right? Air feels amazing." Spider smiled up at her and she was tempted to go back inside, her small body begining to move on it's own before Spider clasped her hand, his almost swallowing hers. "Come on!" He laughed lightly, dragging her and she basically held her breath, unaware of the events to come. Unaware of the make she would soon come to fear... and love.
He took her over to the Ikrans where she gasped softly, and backed away but he went behind her and gently pushed her back towards, "they won't hurt you, if you don't seem a threat." He reassured and she sighed, trying to push back but she couldn't. Infront of her stood a yellowish ikran, beautiful and scary. It made a noise towards her, and she swallowed heavily, "This one is Neteyam's." He said, and she processes the name in her head, "Ne..te.. yam.." she muttered, and then looked at the beast.
Spider only looked away for a second when he saw Neteyam and Lo'ak approching when he heard her giggle. He turned back and the three males saw her petting the ikran, that surpeisingly, strangely, nuzzled into her hands, seeming to enjoy her touch. She scratched under his chin, admiring his colours when a voice spoke, english with a heavy na'vi accent. "He likes you." It said and Y/n whipped her head around, seeing two na'vi folks. She retracted her hands, making the beast let out a whine.
"S-sorry.." she said, and Spider stood infront of her. "Neteyam, Lo'ak, this is Y/n, or the girl who never leaves her room. Y/n, this is Neteyam and Lo'ak. They are Jake Sully's sons." He explained and she swallowed again, nodding as a greeting. Neteyam approched, petting the Ikrans head. "He usually doesn't allow humans to touch him. You are special." He spoke to her, and as they made eye contact, both their hearts skipped a beat in sync.
'He doesn't look scary..' she thought, ripping her eyes from him, and soon saw an even taller male approching, and she gulped. It was Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan of this clan. "Is this really little Y/n, why haven't you grown." He said, giving her a slight smile with she slightly returned, then also gave Neytiri the same expression when she arrived with their youngest child, Tuk.
"Wow, your short." Tuk laughed lightly, standing at five foot seven while Y/n stood at five foot five. Y/n chuckled, then noticed how Neteyam seemed to be studying her as his Ikran nuzzled her back, making her jump, then turned to him and smiled slightly, petting him once again, only for him to sniff at her mask and growl softly. "This..? I-I need it to breath.." she explained to him as if he could understand or respond.
"You.. wanna fly?" Neteyam asked her suddenly, making all eyes move to him. She was about to respond, but Neytiri spoke, "Y/n is a very.. fragile human. Flying is too dangerous for her." She said, and Y/n just gave a calm expression, but then Spider grabbed her hand, "come on, I want to show you around!" He said and vegan dragging the stumbling girl who struggled to keep up with him. "Come on guys!" He called and Lo'ak decided to follow, and soon Neteyam and Tuk did aswell.
They took Y/n through the forest, showing her diffrent creatires, plants, explaining doffrent things to her, and soon Kiri joined them aswell, and another friend, Nuk'tai. He was another omaticaya, slightly shorter than Neteyam, only slightly. Y/n got slowly more comfortable as they went on, soon spotting something. "What is that..?" She asked Lo'ak who hummed, looking at whatever she was staring at, seeing an Eywa seed floating over, and soon landing on her hand.
Neteyam watching, his ears twitching as his tail began to gently sway. He felt strange, as if he wanted to feel her hand. Was it soft or rough, warm or cold. He wanted to feel her hair, long and h/c. Look closer into those deep e/c orbs, with those long black lashes, and her glissening s/c skin, flawless aside from scars around her nails, matching Kiri's which showed she either bit or scratched at them.
He deicded to stay close to her, watching how her much curvier body moved, diffrent to Kiri's and his mothers, andany other female omaticaya. Until the omaticaya females, her thighs jiggled gently as she walked, her waist smallish, but her breasts larger, bouncy looking. Her hands had an extra finger like his siblings and father, and her face wasn't as defined as them, but it had characters, like her little button nose.
He swallowed, then eyed her clothes, and found himself hating them. Why cover so much of a nice body. He decided to give into a small thought and spoke. "Why don't you dress like we do? It will be fun." He suggested, and before the sky girl could answer, Tuktirey spoke out. "Yes!! Follow!" Shesaid and grabbed Y/n's hand, dragging her. He found it funny that an eight year old was taller than Y/n. A teenager.
Y/n sat, letting the girls sort her some clothes and she blushed deeply at the top they choose. A few necklaces, designed to only cover the nipples and bots of the breast, but not completely. "I-I will look naked.." she said softly, "you wont, promise." Kiri smiled, and then her and Tuk hide her from the males as she changed and they held her. She had a skirt like cloth covering her bottom half, then those lovely necklaces covering her front.
The girl then began to braid her hair, and the boys collected some beads. As Neteyam laid hiseyes on her beautifully sculptured body, he felt his mouth water. He licled his bottom lip, and decided to advace futher. He sat cross legged infront of the girl, forcing her eyes to meet his chest, then he face, before he began braiding the beads into her long locks. Kiri then began to paint her body once her hair was done and clothes, matching her to Spuder with faint blue stripes.
She then got some blue, red, yellow and orange feathers, and tied a small ponytail in the bacl of her hair, leaving the rest down and placed the feathers around it, and two by her ears. "There, you are done." She said and Y/n looked down at herself in the pond water beside them. She swallowed, her breasts almost showing, her thighs completely on show, her flat stomach. She was most definetly feeling naked.
Neteyam however, his stomach was doing backflips, his head spinning, his tail swaying, his ears twitching, his lips parting, licking his lower one. His pupils slightly dialated. However, a sudden call of anger washed over him when he saw Nul'tai doing the same thing. Looking at her like his next meal, and he had to swallow a growl itching to climb from his throat.
He suddenly felt like grabbing and holding her, biting her neck until crimson ran down that squishy, soft, small body she had. Show him she was not his for gawing at. 'Why...? We just met..? She's a human..' he thought to himself, confused as his eyes scanned her, making him bite his bottom lip. 'But Eywa.. I want...' as the two made eye contact, his finished his thoughts in an instant. 'I want her.'.
Later that night, the Sully kids walked the humans back to the labratory, and Neteyam felt as if he was letring go of his braid, watching her walk up those stairs. Spider walked in, but before she could, he spoke. "Come again, tomorrow." He said, trying not to sound demanding, and she tilted her head, "Um.. sure, Neteyam. Goodnight." She gave him a smile, and he rubbed his blue lips together. "Goodnight, Y/n.".
____
Morning came around and Y/n was approched by the pandora head scientist,offering her to make her an avatar body, as he had the equiement too, so she she could breath and possibly become more comfortable. She decided on a maybe, saying she would think about. It was one thing hanging out with them, but becoming one? Now that was a very.. alien thing to her.
She put on a mask and left, this time without Spider who was still sleeping. She walked around until spotting Neteyam alone. Slowly, she approched, and tapped his shoulder onxe, making his head turned to her, a stran of his many braids waving away from his eye. "Y/n." he said in a welcoming tone, and she gave a gentle smile, "Neteyam, hello. May I sit with you..?" she asked and he nodded.
Y/n sat down cross legged, and he admired her still seeable body, considering she was wearing the clothes his sisters made her, and the paint. "I was given an offer." She said and he looked over, his exoression unreadable. "Hm?" He urged for her to continue. "I was offered to have an avatar made for me. That way it will be easier to explore, and breath without a mask. Neteyam took a moment to think about it, but then realised.
If she became an avatar, he could kiss her, feel those cheeks. Sure, she eould be skinnier, taller, but my god, he could.. he could kiss her. He could.. claim her with the connection of braids. Then human or na'vi, she would be his. He felt disgustee by his own selfish thoughts over a girl he barely knew, who barely knew him, but he couldn't sleep last night, her eyes, her face, her body, her voice filling his head.
"I think you should go for it." He replied and she responded with a head tilt. "You can have the best of both worlds. And if you explore yourself as na'vi, you may become more comfortable. You will be able to claim an ikran aswell." He pointed out, and she hummed. 'I could force you to walk through the eye of the great mother, and become like me permantely. My mate,.' He thought.
She actually slightly agreed with his statement. He had a point. "You know, I might just do that." She replied, then looked out at the skies oytside the rocky dome their clan remained in for safety away from the not so nice sky people. Her eyes held grest curiosity, which Neteyam admired. He wondered how he fell so fast, so hard, so quick. Why he wanted her to himself. He had deep, shameful urges to mate with her, right here and now, whether she wanted it or not, and that made his stomach drop at the fact he knew, if he wasn't restraining himself. He'd do it.
And so, later that week, after agreeing to have an avatar of herself made,the Sully children and her looked over her avatar body in the tank, floating. It wasn't ready yet, some features needing to be added. She was.. beautiful. He actually kept her body shape slightly, only slightly slimmer which made Neteyams heart throb. Her face was like her own, but firecer, her pointy ears adorable.
"What do you think?" Norm asked her and she looked over, "She- I..? I look pretty cool. One question. Why keep me short?" she asked, her avatar height only standing at six foot seven. "Because.. well I took your height and went with it." He explained with a shrug, making her chuckle and Nuk'tai patted her hair. "Well shorty, omce your in that body, I'll help you claim an Ikran." he promised and she giggled, "sounds good, Nuk." The human replied and Neteyam bit down on his tongue, drawing crimson in his mouth, the matalic taste seeping down his throat.
However, he decided to play it safe and said, "Mind if I join? I would like to watch." He asked and Y/n nodded, "sure. But how do you claim an Ikran?" She asked, and Nuk'tai made an awkward expression before speaking. "We'll tell you when the time comes." He said, rubbing her small shoulders and Neteyam gripped his hand into a fist, trying to ignore it. 'Stop touching her. I hate it. Stop it. Shes.. shes my mate.' He thought to himself, but contained the burning rage pulsing through him.
"Lay in this capsual." The scientist instructed while Norm helped her in. Her avatar was complete, done quickly swiftly, clothed and done up all nice and ready. She let out a shakey breath as the Sully's and Spider awaited her avatar body to awaken. Neteyam was excited, but tried to hide it, though his swishing tail was betraying him horribly. She was gorgouse, and he loved her this way, though human her was amazing aswell.
The capsual was closed abd she felt strange, paniced for a small moment, then sighed and closed her eyes, soon her mind drifting off into nothingness. She blinked, letting a small noise excape her lips as she blinked, seeing everyone around her. "Lo'ak.." she mumbled, seeing him the cloest to her head. "How'd you feel?" Norm asked, coming over with his mask off as she sat up off the bed she laid apone.
Neteyam smiled at her slightly. There she was, his mate, his lover, his everything. No one elses,nothing elses, just his. "Can you speak, Y/n?" Norm asked her and she parted her lips, but realised the air was thick, and only just about breathable. "Here." Kiri handed her a mouth mask, which she took a breath of pandora air and then let out a sigh again. "Thank you.. and yes, yes I can speak."
Nuk'tai came over and smiled, pushing some hair behind her ear, her pointy blue ear. The hair was still half down with a small ponytail, but it had some braids running through it with beads, and then of course her queue, her connection. She slowly stood up with the help of Kiri and wobbled slightly, but then shook her head and worked to stabalise herself before slowly walking. "Can you wa- oh, perfect." Norm smiled.
Spider came in and grinned up at her, "finally not a shorty." He said and she look over, "shush you or I'll wack you with my braid." She giggled. Everyone was happy, and so was Neteyam, aside from the fact that he wanted to rip Nuk'tai to pieces, touching what belong to him, how dare he? The group helped her move about, testing her tail, her fingers, her toes, her ears. Jake and Neytiri came over and helped her out of the lab, then she looked around, her showy, beautiful clothescupping her unaturally curvier body, since they kept her that way for her comfort.
"Right, have you done the training Spider has?" Lo'ak asked and she nodded, "I know the basics." Y/n replied, taking in how tall she was from the ground now, how her senses were enhansed. She could feel her new body parts, like her tail, her ears, her braid. Nuk'tai took her finger fingered hand in hia four fingered one, and began to drag her. "Come on, Ikran time!" he cheered and Lo'ak joined after them, followed closely by a lowely growling Neteyam and a giggling Tuk and Kiri. They took her up the moutains, helping her climb and teaching her how to use her new strenghs.
It was good she understood na'vi atleast, so it was easier for them to explain. Soon, they made it to the banshees docking area, where wild banshee's flew and roamed. She smiled, amazed. "So, how do I know which one is mine?" She asked, not quite caught up on Ikran studies. "They will try to kill you." Lo'ak replied and she blinked, "brilliant..". So there Y/n slowly walked through the squealing banshees, piercing her ears painfully as she looked around. Soon, a light purple wnd blue one turnee to face her, and hissed at her, so she instinctively hissed back. "Beat, and connect your braid." Spider explained.
"O-ok.." she uttered, and Neteyam already gripped his knife to protect her, just incase, however he did find her hiss attractive, 'I will make her walj through the eye of Eywa.. she will be na'vi, beside me..' he thought and grinned slightly, until his eyes caught Nuk'tai, watching her intensely as her moved around with the Ikran, before the banshee went for her, and she dodged, then heard Kiri, "jump on it's back!". She did as instructed and climbed quickly onto it's back, grabbing the connector but it soon began to jump and spin about, screeching and roaring.
She fell off with a grunt, but got up and hopped up again, wrapping her legs around it's jaw, forcing it closed, then connected her queue to the Ikran, making its pupils dialate. She panted softly, then listened as Kiri instructed her to fly to seal it. She moved off its head and onto it's back, and spoke, "Fly." Gently, and off the banshee took, making her squeal and grip on tight. "Slower!". Soon it slowed down, and she let out a breath of relife, "Good.. Good..?" She leaned and looked under. "Good girl.." she soon got the hang of it, and Lo'ak, Nut'tai and Neteyam joined her, with Spider on Lo'ak's, Kiri on Nuk'tai's and Tuk on Neteyams. "Your doing it!" Nuk'tai cheered and she giggled.
"What are you naming her?" Tuk asked and Y/n hummed softly, "Hmmm..? I'll name her..... Amitia." She said and they all nodded in approval. She did a few test tricks, circles, dropping down and catching itself, spinning. It was amazing hiw quickly she understood, and soon Tuk got on behind her, laughing happily as she hugged her waist. Seeing Y/n with his little sister, made Neteyams heart flutter, and his tail sway gently. God he wanted her, now.
Finally, his breaking point arrived when they landed, and Nuk'tai helped her off the beast, then took her smaller hands in his. "You were amazing, Y/n. You looked stunning.." he said, and glanced at her lips. In that moment, Neteyam snapped. He tried to stop it, god he tried. He held himself to his Ikran but his body soon moved on it's own, going over to the male and gripping his shoulder tighter then needed. "Can we talk?" He asked and Nuk'tai nodded, "sure.".
The two males walked off, and once they got far enough, Neteyam suddenly grabbed his queue and began ragging him deeper into the forest, shoving a cloth in his mouth. He screamed and tried to fight back against him, struggling. He bought him to a pond and threw him in, then got in the the shallow bit after him, and held him down. He struggled against him, struggling as he was forced under the water, splashin to break free. After some time, Neteyam pulled him up and growled at him.
"Y/n is mine." He said. "My fucking mate. You dirtied her with your hands.. I hope Eywa has mercy on you to die quickly.." he spoke darjly, his eyes holding a great craze, with sharp, small pupils, his bottom lip twitching as he growled before shoving him back in the water before he could answer, drowning him. A slow death purposley. He keot holding until the others body fell limb, but Neteyam kept holding him under incase he was pretending.
He pulled him along until he found a big rock, barely liftable. Perfect. He used some vines and tied his legs together, then tied them to the rock and went behind it, grunting as hr pushed on it until finally it dropped into the pond, dragging his lifeless body with it. Neteyam watched with sly orbs, like a panther watching it's preys life fade from it's eyes.
Soon, he was definetly dead, lost and gone. He let go and walked out thewater, his breathing heavy and rapid. "Shit.. oh Eywa, what have I...-" he paused himself. "He.. deserved it. He tried to take whats.. what belongs to me.." he said darkly, "My Y/n.. fuck, I need her.. now. Right fucking now.". He made his way to to the others, and soon sawY/n with her Ikran, alone. Perfect.
He approched her, and with every step was an argument in his brain. 'This is wrong Neteyam. Stop right now. No, no, She's yours, you can do as you please with her. Stop! Do it!' Ran through his mind, as he got closer and closer, until suddenly he was behind her. He pulled out his knife, and suddenly smacked the back of it down on the back of her head, making her grunt and collasp into his arms unconious. "I'm sorry, my mate.. forgive me.".
He took her body and hid it for a moment while he went and snucl to the labratory, and pressed the button on her capsual, letting her free. She opened her eyes and gasped at the sight of Neteyam. "So-something happened to Avatar me.." she said gently and he nodded, giving her a mask. "Come on." He said and she felt slightly confused by his demanding tone. They left the labratory and she tried to find her Avatar body, and he just followed.
Soon he pretended to spot it, and spoke. "Over there. Look." They went over and she saw the prickles of blood dripping down the back of her neck, making her gasp. "What happened..?" She uttered, "this." Suddenly he hit a nerve in the back of her head with his hand, and down she went. He slung the Avatar body over his shoulder, then her human body under his other arm, carrying them away.
He left the rock hideout, and snuck away to the forest. "You drive me crazy and we only met yesterday.. fuck me.. I've never snuck away before.. the things you do to me.." he said, holding her closely. Arriving at the magical place, the tree of souls, or, Eywa, he went over and laid her down at the foot of the tree, laying her bodies head to head. Before anything, he leant to her human body and kissed it deeply, "this is how it has to me, my Y/n. May Eywa, please, for the love, guide you.". He began chanting, knowing the words, praying it worked. He took off her mask as the wind picked up slightly and her human body gasped gently, but he didn't break his consontration.
He heard a small noise after some time and peeked his eyes open, her human body waa taken into the grass around the tree, sucked into the ground, lost. Her Avatar body however, moved slightly and he crawled above her, looking down. Her eyes fluttered open, those golden orbs meeting his own ones and he smiled lovingly. "Ahh.. there you are." He spoke in na'vi, andshe tilted her head. "Neteyam..? Where are we? How am I in my avatar again?" She asked, and he placed his hands on her shoulders, "shush.. take it easy.." he spoke softly.
He took her braid from underneath her, and bit his bottom lip as he forced a connection between him and her. She gasped and stared up at him with wide eyes. "Ne-Neteyam!?" Y/n squeaked, definetly understanding that from being told and reading about it. "Wh-why would you do that!? Where are we?" She asked, and tried to pull her queue from his, but he held them together with his hand. "I'm sorry, Y/n.. I tried not too.." he said, then crawled ontop of her, until she was laid down and he was hovered above her.
"Neteyam let go.." she said, so lost by the situation before a surprised muffled squeak excaped her lips as his lips crashed against hers, and she struggling underneath him, trying to push on his chest bit he was much bigger and stronger then Y/n. She thrashed about and soon bit down on his bottom lip, making him wince and pull away. He growled and moved their bonded queue's, flipping her onto her stomach. "Was going to make this eaay for you, but it seems I need you to fear me before loving me.. thats alright...".
She felt tears well up in her golden orbs, "Neteyam wheres my human body..?" She asked, looking at where they were the Tree of Souls. She knew this is where Toruk Makto became full na'vi, andshe instantly feared the worest. "Oh her.. she has become apart of Eywa now. You can be with me forever now, my mate.. never needing to leave this body of yours. Permantely my mate." He said, biting on the bacl of her neck, making her whine as she gripped the grass, begining to sob.
"It's ok to cry, you'll be moaning in a moment." He reassured. That voice trying to give him asense of his actions had faded away. All he could do, see, was her. He knew what he wanted, and it was his mother who once told him 'when you want something, fight for it.' And he did when he drowned Nuk'tai and now got rid of her human body. She belonged to him, because he wanted her to belong to him. She didn't need a say when he had already made the decision.
He removed his loincloth, then her skirt, and took off her necklaces, laying them side. He took off hia choker, and the clothing on his waist, before sitting on his knees, adirming her ass, squishier than a normal na'vi from how the scientist made her. Leant down and swiped his tounge over the slit of her vagina, feeling her twtich. He then leant back up and placed a few gently kisses on her ass, forcing her head to lay on the grass as he plumetted two of his big slim blue fingers inbetween her lips, and inserted them into her vagina hole, sinking into her core warmth.
Y/n let out a muffled sob, tears sinking into the grass. It felt really good, but fuck, why was he doing this to her? Why did it have to be this way between the two? "stop Neteyam.." she begged, a line of sweat mixing with the tears, the uncontrolable tears that were slightly turning his on as he slammed his fingers into her core, harder and harder, hitting all the right places.
"Fuck yeah, Y/n.. thats it.." he praised, watching her folds become soaked in pure juices of arousel alone. Her body quivered, trying to get away but the hold on her braid was preventing it. He pulled out, slick following after his fingers, attaching him to her before he snapped, then he moved and grabbed her hips, his hard dick ready to take her as his own. He placed his tip to her entrance and she let out a squeak, "Stop! Stop it!" The girl cried, but in his slid, pushing her walls to open around him. She screamed and he covered her mouth, his body looming over hers. "Shut up.. you'll love it in a minute..".
He began to move his hips in and out, realising she was virgin, which wasn't surprising considering where she had been living. He grunted at her tightness, and she trembled, sobbing quietly as small breaths excaped her mouth. "My mate.. my fucking mate.." he spoke and she whimpered. "Please stop.." she mumbled, and suddenly he pulled out and flipped her over, moving their connected braids before slamming back inside, pushing all his lengh in, which was a pretty good size.
"You are mine to break.." he growled, having zero mercy left as his hips slammed back and forth inside her, letting grunts and breath out as she cried and moaned. Her hands were trying to push him away, but soon his lifted her legs onto his shoulders, and pinned her hands to the grassy ground. "Fuck Nuk'tai.. everyone.. you are my bitch.." he snarled, inches from her face and soon he closed the gap, kissing her roughly, shoving his tongue between her lips, forcing her to take him in her mouth, saliva mixing painfully beautifully.
After sometime, he pulled his lips away, staring down at her drool covered lips, licking his own, his stomach tingling at the view. He could feel her tightening around him, and she could feel him twitching. Y/n let out a breath, her eyes rolling back, and thighs clenching, her mind becoming fuzzy. 'Y/n.. stop..' she thought to herself, but the pleasure was welcomed by her body not listening to her brain.
"Stop.." she said weakly, but then gasped as Neteyam's hand came around her throat, him humming. "Fucking choke.. I will make you adore this.. do you not realise you need me..?" He asked and her eyes peered up at him. "You'd be lost without me, flower.." he leant closer. "Doesn't this feel good..? You can have this and more as much as you want.. I'm yours, and you are mine. Together forever.. no one to get in the way.." he promised and she stared up at him, slight widen orbs and choked gasps excaping her mouth.
"You need me." He said, moving his hand from her throat to her cheek, his hips slowing. "And I fucking need you. God damn it, I need you.. I need you so bad.." he said, an kissed her lips gently, making her shiver and let out a whimper. "Neteyam.." she uttered, suddenly her brain began to spin. 'D-do I need him...?' She askee herself, her thoughts begining to stir up wildly. 'We haven't even interacted much but.. this..' her eyes glanced at their connection, she could feel everything from him. How much he truely wanted and needed her.
"Please.. give into me, my love.. my syulang.." he said gently, and she felt as if a fog clouded her mind, blinding her from the tragic situation she was truely in. "Neteyam.." she huffed out, and slowly he let her wrists free, and hesitantly she wrapped them around his neck. He stopped his hips and removed her legs, wrapping them around his waist, then keant to where they bare chests where touching and began move and a medium but hard pace, making her moan out, tilting her head back.
"See how... how good that feels..?" He groaned out, letting a soft moan excape his own lips, and she nodded slowly, her tail that was once wagging like crazy, now relaxing on the grass. Her ears that were pinned to her head, how droopy and adorable. "See? You've always belonged to me.. you just never realised.." he said, and began to kiss her sensually, passionately. They both felt their highs approching and she moaned into his mouth, him swallowing down her noises gratefully.
"I'm going to make sure the entire clan.. the entirety of pandora knows your mine.. you will carry my seed in you.." he said and her eyes widened slightly, but he quickly settled her. "We will be together forever.. a little family of our own.." he smiled at her and she relaxed again, the pleasure becoming overwhelming as he reached one hand down and began rubbing the pad of his finger over her clit, rubbing nice circles, simulating her more and soon her legs began to shake, making his breathing heavily as she slowly clenching on him.
He felt her getting tighter, and his own regions begining to need a release. "Thats it, pretty girl.. come on, you can do it.." he urged, praising his mate who who cried out, tossing her head back against the grass and after a few more thrusts, he placed his head down on her chest, moaning out as he released inside her, feeling their liquids mixing. "You will carry my love for you.." he placed his hand on her stomach. And you are..." he kissed up her body, then to her lips.
"𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦... forever Y/n.".
“Useless” and “Troubled” until the End: Pt. 2
Sully Family x Fourth Child Male Reader
Summary: After being grounded a second time, you disobey Jake’s for the third time to secret sneak out and secretly help out on the raid against a train carrying supplies for the RDA assault forces. This ends up with you getting badly injured from a missile blast and things finally hit the breaking point at home. A familiar antagonist also shows up, looking a lot more blue and bloodthirsty than ever before.
Warning: Violence, blood, injuries, cursing, family arguments, a tiny bout of child neglect, abduction, kidnapping, etc.
Note: Once again, I’m not going to try to use Na’vi language as I don’t have any idea what the translations are to English.
Tumblr media
-Y/N POV
I laid back in my hammock, not giving a care to the world as I vaguely listened to Dad tell everyone what was going on today with some sort of raid going down.
Jake: Alright, everyone please listen up. We have something big that will be taking place today. Neteyam, Lo’ak, you’re on lookout and watch duty to ensure everything is going accordingly to plan. Your mother and I will be leading the attack on the train from below.
Neteyam: Awesome! We get be on the battlefield!
Lo’ak: Ddddaaadddd, come on, give us a more exciting role.
Jake: Lo’ak, this is not up for debate. You’re on lookout duty and that’s final. -Dad then turns to Kiri and I while I have my back to him to notify that I’m ignoring him- Kiri, I need you and Y/N to watch Tuk while the rest of us are gone, okay?
Kiri: Of course, Dad.
Jake: Y/N, is that clear?
I ignore him as I try to fall asleep.
Jake: Is that clear, soldier!?!
I roll over in my hammock to face him and giving him a hard glare as Dad gets a bit angry at me for my blatant disrespect.
Jake: Y/N! Answer me!
Y/N: Yes sir…understood. -I give Dad a mocking salute as I turn back over, once again putting my back to him-
Dad sighs heavily at this and walks out of the Hometree to his Ikran, knowing the reasons why I’ve been more difficult as of late. I know Mom is looking at me worriedly as I’ve gotten into a lot more arguments with Dad over the last few days with me trying to prove myself, but I just shrug it off. I feel someone come up behind me and gently hug me from behind. I tense my back at this and roll over once again to see Mom is the one hugging me so I hug her back as she picks me up out of my hammock like she used to when I was a little kid. She puts me on back on my feet after a few seconds as Kiri and Tuk join the hug and the three help me feel a lot better. Mom then pulls away and kisses me on the forehead as my ears flatten against my head. She then walks out of the Hometree to her Ikran while I look to see Neteyam and Lo’ak giving me looks of understanding from where I stand at with our old man as I nod to them silently before the two leave for their Ikrans. Kiri lets me go from the hug and rubs my head with the height difference between the two of us with her being taller than me. She loves to tease me for being shorter than the normal Na’vi.
Kiri: You know I’m always here for you, little brother.
Y/N: I know, sis. Thanks.
I head back to my hammock and climb back into it before I get comfy as I close my eyes when I feel a weight on my chest. I open them back up to see Tuk climbed onto me and cuddled up to me which led me to smile. I rub her head and get comfy with Tuk on me and I fall asleep for about 30 minutes.
- 30 minutes later -
I woke up to sounds of ships careening down to the surface of Pandora and rolled over to see that RDA drop ships are coming into Pandora’s surface. I look around to see Kiri and Tuk not in the Hometree. I’m already know what Kiri is doing with Tuk to keep her distracted from everything going on, most likely by taking her on a nature walk and leaving me in the tree alone so I can have a bit of space. I smile at the opportunity that has opened for me and I quickly grab my knife, my bow which I named “Skull Splitter” from which I had hand-carved and designed myself, and a quiver full of barb tipped arrows I had made. I then run out of the Hometree before I whistle long and loudly for Ro’nea. I get a running start for myself before I run towards the edge of one of the long branches from the tree and jump off, leaving me in free fall as I see a blur of white and Ro’nea is with me as she gets under me, I then connect my queue to Ro’nea’s queue and we become one. I rub her head in gratitude for her quickness of getting here and I guide her to where I know the raid is taking place.
(These are the arrows.)
- 1 hour later -
As Ro’nea and I reach the location of the raid, I begin to quietly think to myself. I know that I’m not supposed to be out here after being double grounded by Dad, but I really don’t care anymore. I have to be independent as I know I can only rely on myself in times like this. Everyone else just expects me to be in the background or to be useless and that I should be okay with with. I already get bullied enough as it is by boys in the clan that are my age because of this while they all have hunted something with it being some sort of achievement. Nobody ever notices the bullying or disrespect I get from my fellow clan members so I’ve learned to just keep my grievances to myself. It doesn’t matter as I doubt anyone would even believe me should I tell someone anyway as one of the son of Toruk Makto,
I shake my head to clear my mind as I start to fly higher than most of the Na’vi involved in the raid on Ro’nea so I don’t get spotted by Mom or Dad, the same goes for any other Na’vi involved in the raid. This is because of a different scar of my face that goes from the left side of my forehead to the middle point of my neck that was a result of a terrible fall I took when I was five years old. Due to this scar on my face in addition to the one from Ro’nea’s crash, I’ve become a very recognizable person so many of my clan know how to notice me out of a crowd, but they fail to notice most of the time due to me also being shorter than most other Na’vi. I also know that I stick out quite a bit obviously since Ro’nea is completely white, but we’ve managed to stay under the radar for now. I look down to my companion and scratch Ro’nea on her neck as she lets out a screech of content at the scratch. I smile at her antics and let out a small thank you to Eywa for allowing me to bond with Ro’nea as she is one of the only friends I’ve had in a long time besides my siblings. I briefly catch my brothers as they are on watch duty as they also fail to notice me partaking in the raid. I look off to see that there are RDA ships incoming as the train blew off its track for the explosive detonation. I grab my bow and ready an arrow before letting go of it as it soared into the glass windshield of one of the ships and went straight through the glass. The arrow ended up impaling itself into the pilot’s chest, hitting the heart and killed the pilot immediately which led to the ship losing control before crashing into the cliff side.
Y/N: Fuck you.
I watch as I saw both Dad and Mom take out a few other ships while I smile at their teamwork. I just wish I could have possibly learned from them instead of needing to teach myself. I then saw both of my parents look over in my direction as they looked at Ro’nea with surprised looks. I can only assume it’s because they’ve never seen a fully white Ikran before, but then again, fully white Ikrans are very rare to find, and it’s considered very sacred as it’s seen to be the very image of Eywa itself. Not only that, white Ikrans are also bigger than most regular Ikrans of different colors. From what I know, if you bond with one, it’s a very special honor amongst Na’vi to have that bond and that anyone who has a white Ikran will be highly respected by the clan. Well, I know that to be absolute bullshit since I’m bonded with one. (I’m making up the white Ikran bond thing for the sake of the story). I’m just happy that they are too far away to see that their son is the one that is bonded with the white Ikran. I keep my head down to make sure it stays that way. More ships begin coming and I continue to launch arrow after arrow at each ship using my bow while riding Ro’nea. I took down three more ships with precise shots to either the pilot’s head, killing them instantly or hitting them in the chest with an instant kill heart shot.
Y/N: All of you RDA sons of bitches can go rot in hell.
I have Ro’nea stop for a moment so I can collect my barrens when I see my two brothers heading down to the train when I knew they were not supposed to be. I roll my eyes and signal for Ro’nea to let me off near where my brothers are. Once on the ground, I get off of Ro’nea’s saddle and leave my weapons attached to the harness I made for her. I detach my queue from hers and tell her to hide herself somewhere safe nearby in case I need her as I don’t want to risk her getting hurt. Ro’nea looks at me, understanding what I’m telling her to do and she flies off to hide just like I taught her. I turn around and then run to where my stupid brothers are at.
— 3RD PERSON POV
Lo’ak and Neteyam are off of their Ikrans and we’re currently opening up a crate filled with weapons as Lo’ak grabbed one of the assault rifles that were in said crate.
Neteyam: Don’t tell me you’re going to try using that thing.
Lo’sk: Come on, bro. It can’t be that hard.
Lo’ak aims the weapons into the air jokingly, but the two Sullys freeze and feel their blood go cold when they hear a voice they know all too well.
Y/N: What the hell are you two idiots doing down here?! I thought dad told you to stay in the air on watch duty!
The two eldest Sully boys turned around quickly to see their youngest brother running towards them with a grim look on his face. They have shock written all over their faces as they look at their brother in confusion with him being here at the raid.
Neteyam: Y/N?!? What the hell are you doing here!?
Y/N: Trying to show Dad I can handle myself and that I’m actually capable of being useful besides babysitting and being a healer.
Lo’ak: Bro. Dad will kill you if he finds out that you’re here!
Y/N: I honestly don’t care anymore. It’s always the same with him! I can never do anything the two of you can!
Neteyam: That’s because you’re unprepared, Y/N!
Y/N: NO, I’M NOT!! IT’S ALWAYS THE SAME WITH THIS ME BEING USELESS CRAP! I JUST WANT ONE CHANC— INCOMING ROCKET! LO! NETE! LOOK OUT!
Y/N pushed his brothers behind some cover as the rocket struck close to where the three Sully boys were at. Neteyam and Lo’ak only had minor bruises from their little brother pushing them out of the impact zone of the rocket, but Y/n took the brunt of the blast and couldn’t be seen by either of the oldest brothers. Jake had only now seen his oldest sons looking around for the third Sully son, but he was completely unaware to what they were doing or the fact of Y/N being there. Jake fly down on his Ikran and dismounted from it to run to where his boys are at. Jake reached his two oldest boys and was totally pissed at the two of them.
Jake: WHAT WERE YOU TWO THINKING?!? I TOLD YOU TO STAY ON LOOKOUT DUTY!!
Lo’ak: Sir, we know. But there’s bigger trouble than that right now!
Jake: What is bigger than you two disobeying my orders?!
Neteyam: Y/N is here and he’s possibly hurt!
Jake froze and felt his heart completely stop at what his oldest child had just said to him.
Jake: Y/N is what!?!
Lo’ak: Y/N is possibly hurt as he pushed us out of the way from the rocket exploding! We need to find him!
Jake: You two get back into your Ikrans and get airborne. I’ll find your brother.
Neteyam and Lo’ak: Yes sir.
The two brothers run back to where they had their Ikrans at and started getting airborne while Jake searched through the wreckage for his youngest boy. He couldn’t find anything and started to worry about what might’ve happened to Y/N. Only then did Jake saw something out of the corner of his eye where he saw a few bodies belonging to the deceased Na’vi they sadly perished during the train raid. Jake shallowed down hard to keep a lump that was building in his throat from bursting out and letting him assume the worst possible fate that his son could have had. Jake ran over to the bodies and began to check each one. The first two bodies were of female Na’vi so Jake ruled them out immediately and the next two bodies were of male Na’vi, however, Jake didn’t see the scar that he knew only his son would have on the side of his face. When he reached the final body, he noticed that the Na’vi was not dead and the person was still breathing and had a pulse. He turned the person over onto his back and Jake instantly saw the scar on the Na’vi’s face, immediately telling him it’s his son. He checked Y/N for any injuries and saw that Y/N had some metal shrapnel in his left leg that will need to be removed later and a large gash in his left arm. He picked his son up and quickly got him onto his Ikran before taking off. Neytiri saw Jake on the ground and watched as she then saw Jake pick up an unconscious Na’vi and taking them to his Ikran and taking off. She went over and looked in horror at the realization that it was her youngest son that was injured. She gave Jake a look saying “Let me take him, you continue leading the attack.” Jake let his mate take their son before he went back to leading the attack. Neytiri started to make her way back to their home when Neteyam and Lo’ak fly over to their mom and tell her to let them take their brother home. She gives them their unconscious brother before she returned to the fight. The boys took their little brother home.
— 6 Hours later —
— Y/N POV
I silently stare at the ceiling of my home as my mind wonders far out. I’m knocked out of thought when my grandmother, Mo’at and Kiri walk into the Hometree while carrying leaf wrap bandages and medicine. Grandma sits down next to me before she began to tell me what she’ll have to do with my leg. I silently nod to her and grab my knife from the table next to me. I put the blade of my knife into my mouth to bite down onto while my grandmother carefully starts to slowly pull the piece of metal out of my leg. I grunt in pain and bite down onto the blade as Grandma continues pulling the metal out slowly. My tail is swishing a lot and my ears are up at attention as I let out another grunt of pain and bit down harder on the blade before Grandma finally gets it out. Kiri than came over to me to put some medicine onto the wound and began wrapping it in the leaf bandages. I take my knife out of my mouth and carelessly throw it at the wall, embedding it into the bark of the tree next to my hammock. I then spit a little bit of blood into my hand and wipe it off onto the already bloodied bundle of leaves beneath me.
Kiri: You really shouldn’t have gone out there, little bro.
Y/N: Kiri, as much as I love you, please not now.
Kiri: I’m just saying….
Y/N: I know, I know. I’m already going to get the same talk down from Dad, the angry drill instructor.
I look outside to see the red evening sky and it fills me with a feeling of contentment. Like Kiri, I’ve always enjoyed nature and the little things in life that are around us, but nobody seems to notice. Kiri rubs my left arm that has a patch of bandage wrapped around the gash from earlier with understanding how I feel about nature and I’m happy that I can share that with my big sister.
Y/N: Grandma, Kiri, thank you both for patching me up.
Mo’at: Of course, little warrior. You’re just like your grandfather when he was a young man.
Y/N: I could never live up to Grandpa’s reputation. I can barely even prove myself to Dad, I’ll never be able to do anything right…. -I hug Grandma tightly-
Kiri frowns and joins the hug as she knows just how badly I want to be considered a “Proper” Sully.
Mo’at: Oh, little warrior. I know about how you feel, your father is a hard man. He’ll come around eventually, I promise. And I know that you can do anything that you’ll put your mind to, little warrior.
Kiri: Even if that doesn’t happen, Y/n. You still have Tuk, me, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Grandma, and Mom. You’re not alone.
Y/N; Thanks, Grandma, thanks, sis. I’m happy to know I can always rely on you.
Mo’at: I must go attend to the rest of the wounded, my grandchildren. Kiri, can I count on you to keep an eye on your brother while he heals?
Kiri: Of course, grandmother.
Mo’at nods to my big sister as she then gets up and walks out of our Hometree. I groan as I get up from the makeshift bench I was laying down on and go to the table to sit down while Kiri gently helps me up over to it. I look over to my hammock to see Tuk sleeping soundly in my hammock and I smile at the sight before I then hear the familiar sound of the flap of an Ikran’s wings and I got ready for the hell that is coming. I look to see Mom, Dad, and my brothers enter the home. I look at Dad and he is giving me the death stare right now to which I roll my eyes as I look away. My brothers are looking at me with sympathy looks on their faces as they know what hell I’m in for. Mom, however, has worry written all over her face at the shock from knowing what her youngest son did. Dad spoke up for everyone’s attention.
Jake: Everyone, head to bed. Y/N. I need to have words with you outside. Now.
I rolled my eyes and got up. Kiri tried to help, but I told her I would be fine. I painfully forced myself out the chair and limped out of the tree with Dad hot on my tail before I turn around to face him.
Jake: What. Did. I. Say. About. Disobeying. Direct. Orders. Soldier? Are you out of your goddamn mind, Y/N?!? Why did you even think that was a good idea?!?
Y/N: Sir— You know what, fuck that military shit. DAD. With all due respect from the love I have for you, can you yell at me tomorrow? -Jake clenched his jaw as stared down his son in worry- I feel like I’m about to fucking pass out and I don’t want that to be considered disrespectful.
Dad’s eyes looked over me could only sigh before agreeing to to what I said.
Jake: Alright, let’s head to bed then.
Dad goes into the home first before I just let out a loud sigh, walk into the home, silently grab my journal out of my pillow, and go back outside the Hometree to climb up to where my secluded sleep spot is. Before I climb, I see Jake giving me a look saying to not go up. I shake my head at him and carefully climb up to my sleep spot before I get comfy and start to write in my journal. After writing down about my feelings and what will might be in store for tomorrow, I close my journal and roll over to doze off to sleep.
- The next day around noon —
— 3RD PERSON POV —
Y/N was currently sitting out on one of the branches outside of the home while he sharpens the blade of his knife without a care to the world. He can hear his parents talking/arguing about what to do in regards to him while the rest of his siblings are off hanging out with their good friend who is a human. They call him Spider as they never knew his actual name and he has grown to be a good friend of the Sully family.
Jake: Ney, we need do something about Y/N’s behavior!
Neytiri: I know. We need to show him how much we care about him. He feels practically useless because we’ve neglected to raise him the right way with training him and showing him how much we care for him.
Jake: I know. I know. It’s just that…..He’s more trouble than he’s worth….He is nothing, but a load of failure….I don’t want to say it….but……..
Y/N sighed as he knew his dad was right. He was nothing, but a failure to the Sully name. He stops sharpening the blade and gets up before he turns to watch his parents continue to argue.
Neytiri: Jake! How could you ever say something like that?!?
Jake: It slipped out……I didn’t mean it that way or for it to com—
Y/n, cutting off Jake: No, Dad, you’re right.
The two Na’vi parents turn to their son as he held his knife tightly in hand.
Y/N: I’m sorry I could never live up to your expectations and standards. I’m sorry for being a failure. And most importantly, I’m sorry for ever coming into your lives.
Y/n then turns around and let out a long and loud whistle before running into a jump from off the branch he was once sitting on. Neytiri and Jake look at each other horrified before they run to where their son jumped off of. They only got to the edge to see Y/N currently riding on his fully white Ikran, Ro’nea, as the two rose slowly to the point where he could stare silently back at his parents. Jake and Neytiri look at Y/N in absolute astonishment and amazement that the white Ikran they saw earlier was, in fact, their son’s Ikran and the fact that they even saw him in action yesterday with taking out several ships.
Neytiri: So it was you….
Jake: Y/N…..
Y/N: I need time alone. You can send Kiri, to find me. She will know where I will be. I don’t care if I get grounded for life for this.
Y/N signaled for Ro’nea to fly away from the Sully home. Neytiri and Jake watched their son fly away in dispose as tears went to their eyes. Neytiri broke down crying as Jake pulled her into a hug and shushed her.
Neytiri: How c-could he ever t-think we think he’s a failure??
Jake: This is my fault. I need to make things right. We first need to find where our boy went.
Jake then used his communicator to contact Neteyam and Lo’ak.
— Elsewhere on Pandora —
— 3RD PERSON POV —
We currently see all the Sully siblings apart from Y/N running around with their good friend, Spider, who is the one Y/N picked up most of his profanity from. The five are all having fun as they explore the wilderness of the Pandora jungle when Neteyam and Lo’ak both get a call on their communicators from their father and both brothers immediately get worried about what’s going on. Neteyam answers the call.
Lo’ak and Neteyam: Dad, what’s the situation?/What’s the problem, Dad?
Jake: It’s Y/N. He’s run away to somewhere.
Neteyam and Lo’ak both look at each other with grim looks on their faces as they hear what the situation is.
Lo’ak: Where did he run off to?
Jake: It’s not so much “run off” as it is to actually flying away on his Ikran.
Neteyam: Wait, wait, wait, you mean Y/N actually bonded with an Ikran?
Jake: That’s right. Not only that, it’s a white Ikran. I think you know how special that bond is.
Neteyam knows just how special white Ikrans are to the Na’vi as they represent the Great Mother herself.
Neteyam: Where did he fly off to?
Jake: Neither me nor your mother knows where he went. He did say that Kiri should know where he’s going. Find him and bring him home. Please.
Jake then hangs up the call. Both brothers look at one another before they nod and go over to Kiri who heard then in the communicators with their father.
Kiri: Is something going on? I heard you two on the call with dad, but not what it was about.
Lo’ak: Y/N’s run away from home.
Kiri: What?!
Neteyam: The bigger issue is that he’s also bonded with an Ikran and that’s what he’s using to move right now.
Kiri: Wait, when did he bond with an Ikran?
Neteyam: Nobody has a clue. Dad said that you would know where he went, is that right?
Kiri: Yeah, he would join me in heading to a secret spot with a lake near where we are right now. He will most likely be there.
Spider then made his way over to the older Sully siblings.
Spider: Guys, what’s going on?
Kiri: Y/N has run away from home and Dad needs us to find him.
Spider: Shit. Any idea where he is?
At that exact moment, all of the Sully siblings and Spider saw a very distinctive white Ikran flying below them through the valley as they continue running along the branches that span across the valley. They try to spot who the rider is to see that it’s their runaway brother as they see the scars present on the Y/N’s face, identifying the rider as Y/N. The Na’vi teens and Spider then ran over to where they could try to shout to Y/N.
Kiri: Y/N!! Up here!!
Neteyam: Y/N! Where the hell are you going??
Lo’ak: Little bro! Stop!!
Spider: Hey, Y/N!! Up here, man!!!
Y/N paid no attention to his siblings nor to Spider as they shouted to the runaway boy. Kiri frowns at this while her brothers just shake their heads.
Kiri: We need to get to the lake before Y/N.
Neteyam: Agreed.
The three oldest Sullys and Spider went over to Tuk and told her they were going to go on a small adventurous journey to a hidden location, hiding the true meaning of why they were going to the hidden lake. Tuk beamed at this news and the five individuals began to quickly make their way to the hidden lake, hoping to reach it before Y/N.
Little did any of the teens know that a small group of Recombinant Na’vi led by a now Na’vi Miles Quaritch had just heard everything while they watched from a distance.
Quaritch: Well, well, well. It looks like the bastard and bitch knocked up. Walker! Mansk! Get on your banshees and follow that little flyer fuck! The rest of you, with me! We’ll use the rest of the little fucks as bait for the real prizes.
Quaritch then let out a a dark chuckle as the Recoms get onto their Ikrans and begin to secretly follow Y/N and the rest of his squad follow the Sullys and Spider.
— 20 minutes later —
— Y/N POV
I smile as I reach my secret spot away from home. It’s a small area that is surrounded by massive trees that hide the peaceful aura that surrounds this place.
Tumblr media
(This is what I had in mind for it or something like this at least with much taller trees like on Pandora.)
I got off of Ro’nea and sat down in the shallow water away from her. I close my eyes and just enjoy the peaceful nature and it’s sounds around me. The feeling of the lake water splashing against my body, the sounds of the Pandora wildlife like the sound of Sturmbeests drinking water from the lake a fair bit away from me, and the peaceful aura of nature that is the epitome of Eywa herself. I look over to check on Ro’nea and see her being herself.
She takes a bit of time to stretch her wings and then she looks at me with an uncertain look on her face, trying to ask if I’m okay. I shake my head while smiling and head back over to her, I then gave Ro’nea a hug with her wrapping her wings around me, basically returning said hug back to me. I’m glad that Eywa chose for Ro’nea to be my companion, for she and I are both one of a kind. However, I noticed something very strange when she let me down from hugging me, I saw a blue and teal Ikran with Na’vi decked out in military gear fly down into the brush, as if they were following me. I grab my bow, quiver of arrows, and my knife from Ro’nea’s harness and tell her to fly away so she doesn’t get hurt. She understood and immediately flew to a hiding spot both of us knew about that would allow her to hide unseen until I called for her again. I strap my quiver to my back, sling my bow onto the small catch I put onto the quiver to hold my bow to my back, and sheathed my knife into its sheath. I quietly make my way through the brush to see the two Ikrans from before, but with only one of the riders I saw from before. He was currently checking his gear so I used the opportunity to snuck up to the strange looking Na’vi while I grab one of my serrated arrows and break the bottom of it off, turning it into a small serrated blade and quickly put it to his throat.
Walker: What the fuck…..
Y/N: Surprise, asshole. Now listen carefully.
Walker: you really think you scare me, that’s hilarious.
Y/N: I really could not give a fuck what you think, asshat. Now, you’re gonna tell me how the hell you found me and what the fuck you are doing here.
The weird-looking Na’vi only laughed at me before I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head before everything went black.
— 3RD PERSON POV —
Y/N fell to ground unconscious as he was pistol whipped over the back of the head by Mansk, saving his fellow Recom sister-in-arms.
Walker: Thanks, mate.
Mansk: Of course, my friend.
Walker: Let’s get this little bastard to the boss. He’s gonna have a field day.
Mansk: No shit.
What the Recoms didn’t know about what that the Sully children and Spider had watched the whole thing involving their brother. They quietly watched in horror as Mansk grabs Y/N by his braids and started dragging him away to meet up with Quaritch.
— 7 minutes earlier —
— 3RD PERSON POV —
The Sully children along with Spider outside the general area of the hidden lake that Kiri led them to.
Lo’ak: So what exactly is this place, Kiri?
Kiri: It’s a location that Y/N has found when Dad let him go have a free day to himself. Y/N tried sneaking out one night on foot and Dad had me take my Ikran to follow him. I was amazed by the area that Y/N lead me to and he made me promise to never tell anybody about it, but I have regretfully broken that promise by bringing you guys here.
Kiri pushes some bushes aside to reveal the beautiful hidden lake. Everyone is in awe at how perfect everything is.
Tuk: This is pretty!
Spider: Holy…..
Neteyam: I now see why Y/n and you wanted to keep this place a secret.
Lo’ak: This place screams tranquillity…
Kiri: We need to find Y/N fast.
Tuk: There!
Tuk pointed over to where everyone saw the alone Na’vi boy getting hugged by his Ikran which surprises everyone, even Kiri as she has never seen anything like that. Everyone then sees the Recombinants flying on their Ikrans to a landing zone further into the tree brush and Y/N gets a grim look in his face. They see Y/N tell his Ikran to hide before she flies off with Y/N preparing himself.
Kiri: Who was that flying in? It doesn’t look like anyone we know.
Spider: They’re probably dipshits who stumbled upon this place.
Kiri: I don’t think so, Spider, they weren’t anyone from the clan at all. I’m worried about what they are doing here as apart from us and Y/N, nobody else knows about this location, not even Mom or Dad.
Lo’ak: We need to do something!
Neteyam hits Lo’ak upside the head.
Neteyam: No shit. Also, keep your voice down, you idiot. We need to figure out what those Na’vi are up to and figure out how we can get Y/N out of here so he’s not in danger.
Lo’ak: Heads up! Y/N’s on the move.
Everyone looked to see Y/N quickly make his way into the brush to find the Ikrans that landed over there. After continuing to follow Y/N, they watched the events unfold and saw the other Recom pistol whip Y/N over the back of the head before helping his fellow Recom up. He then dragged the now unconscious Y/N very roughly away by his braids.
Tuk: No….Noooo!
Kiri: Tuk. Come here.
Tuk quietly burst into tears at the sight of what happened to her brother while Kiri pulled her into a hug as her own tears begin to fall. Spider was pissed off at what the Na’vi did to his best friend while Neteyam and Lo’ak were already thinking of the ways they would make the Recoms regret hurting their little brother.
Neteyam: Those bastards…..
Lo’ak: Those fuckers are going to pay.
Spider: Assholes! Both of them are dead!
It was only then that a loud gunshot was heard, luckily nobody was hit as the bullet hit one of the trees and everyone turned to see a bunch of Na’vi in military gear a few meters away from them that were carrying with guns and a now Na’vi Miles Quaritch holding his pistol with a still smoking barrel up into the air.
Quaritch: Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in.
Neteyam: EVERYBODY SCRAM!!
The Sully kids and Spider then ran in opposite directions with Lo’ak and Spider running North, Kiri and Tuk running to the West, and Neteyam running to the East.
Quaritch: Find them! We will not let these little bastards escape!
— 10 minutes later —
— Y/N POV
I felt myself coming to as I felt a massive pain from my head as I realized I was being dragged by my braids. I look around to see it’s the same two guys that were following me before I was knocked out. I look around my body to see if I still have any weapons and to my luck, I still had my knife in its hidden sheathe, I grab it and plunge it into the kneecap of the guy who was pulling me along by braids. He let out a scream of pain as he falls to his left knee in pain before I sock him across the jaw, knocking him out. I quickly grab the heavy revolver that was in his holster.
Tumblr media
(The gun)
I silently pray to Eywa that my self-taught gun training will pay off as I swiftly pull the hammer of the revolver back and shoot the second Na’vi that was with us in the shoulder, knocking her off her own feet and to the ground. I then run over and turn the revolver so I now am holding it by the barrel before pistol whipping the Na’vi that was wounded across the face, knocking her out. I pant as I let out shaky breaths before I saw my oldest brother running towards me.
Neteyam: Y/N!!!
He gave me tight hug as he saw the carnage I caused to the two Na’vi.
Neteyam: Fucking hell, bro. Remind me not to piss you off.
Y/N: That doesn’t matter right now. Neteyam, how in the fuck did you find me?
Neteyam: Kiri brought us here.
Y/N: Of course she did… who else is with you?
Neteyam: Tuk, Kiri, Lo’ak and Spider were with me, but we all got separated. We need to find them.
Y/N: No shit.
Neteyam got onto his communicator to call Lo’ak.
Neteyam: Lo’ak, are you and Spider play?
Lo’ak: No, not good, Spider was taken, bro. I found a place to hide at an uprooted tree, but I don’t know where Kiri or Tuk are at. Are you good?
Neteyam: Yeah, I found Y/N. Listen to me, okay? I need you to stay hidden, Y/N and I will look for our sisters. Understand?
Lo’ak: You got it, bro. Stay safe.
Neteyam: You do the same.
Neteyam gets off the call.
Neteyam: Listen, we need to find out sisters, we need to find Kiri and Tuk. I saw them running west, we need to get to them before anybody else does. Let’s go!
Y/N: Right behind you!
— 5 minutes later —
— Still Y/N’s POV
I follow closely behind Neteyam as we stop, seeing Kiri and Tuk, however, we were too late and they were tied up to trees with three hostiles around them.
Neteyam: Shit. We were too late.
Y/N: Not if I can help it. Nete. I need you to trust me, okay? When I start drawing the enemies away from Kiri and Tuk, I want you to take the chance and free them. Go find Lo’ak once you do.
Neteyam: What?!? Are you insane?!?
Y/N: There’s no other option. This is the only thing we can do right now.
I jump down from our vantage point and make my way to an opening where the three Na’vi Recoms can see me.
Y/N: Hey assholes! Over here!!!
I used the revolver I kept from earlier to fire a warning shot at the three hostiles before they started chasing after me with their pistols drawn. I lead them away from Kiri and Tuk so Neteyam can use the opening I’m creating to his advantage. I continue to drawn them further and further away towards a steep cliff overlooking the lake when I heard a loud gunshot and I am met to a sharp pain in my shoulder, causing me to be forced off-balance which sent me over the side of the cliff as I continued to run towards it and down to the water below. Luckily, I land on the shore, I look around for the revolver from before, but I soon found out that I lost it when I fell from the cliff. I now have another problem with my shoulder being in intense pain, I put my hand to my shoulder and only feel torn skin around a hole that wasn’t in my shoulder previously. I knew I had been shot. It was then when I felt myself being grabbed from behind by my braids again and I’m forced to turn around to face an evil looking Na’vi.
Tumblr media
(It’s Quaritch)
Quaritch: Well, it’s nice to meet the demon spawn of the man who stabbed me in the back. You’re a lot more trouble than your worth.
The Na’vi then got onto his radio.
Quaritch: Everyone, regroup on me. I want someone to bring that human boy back to the base. I have a special someone who I believe can get us what we want.
I was then being dragged away by my braids once again as I clutch my wounded shoulder in pain. I try to fight the feeling of passing out, but I fall unconscious due to the nasty mix of pain and tiredness.
— 3RD PERSON POV, BACK WITH NETEYAM —
Neteyam watched as his youngest brother drawed the enemy Na’vi away from the area, which allowed him to move to Kiri and Tuk and free them from their bindings.
Kiri: Thanks, but what in the hell is Y/N doing?!
Neteyam: Ssshhh, keep your voice down, I need you to regroup with Lo’ak, Spider was taken, but Lo’ak found a hiding spot that you can go to. Head to the tree that has been uprooted, that’s where he are hiding. I need to help Y/N.
Kiri: Got it. Tuk, I need you to stay close to me, okay.
Tuk; Okay, sis.
The two Sully girls quickly and quietly run to where the hiding spot is while Neteyam ran in the direction of where his brother ran. He caught up only to see Y/n get shot in the shoulder which made him tumble over the edge of cliff. Neteyam couldn’t believe his eyes and tears come to his eyes as he knew that his brother was in big trouble, but he could not do anything with so many enemies around the area. He turned around before retreating to where the rest of his siblings and their good friend are hiding at. They need to make a plan.
To be continued….
Thats Pt. 2 for you. I hope it was not too long and too wordy. Anyways, I wanted to say that I never expected people to actually my idea of “"Useless” and “Troubled” until the End.” I hope people enjoy reading Pt. 2 as much I enjoyed writing it.
Reality
{Just a filler. I don't know what to change much in this part.}
"What?" Y/n asked Tuk in disbelief. "Mom and dad are talking about it right now" Tuk says as she runs out of the tent again and Y/n follows out as Mo'at allows him to. Both of the ran to one of the hut, Kiri was already there, listening. Y/n quietly does the same while Tuk takes a peek inside.
"This thing, this Quartich.. whatever he is.."
"What's going on?" Neteyam asks and Kiri quickly signals them to be quiet. They came and joined in to listen to their parents.
"He can walk right under Eywa's nose"
Y/n watched as Jake and Neytiri argued, he didn't fully understand yet why they had to leave. Neytiri argued "This is about our little ones. I cannot, you cannot ask of this" she walked away from Jake "I cannot leave my people. I will not" She stated once again. Jake looks at her, "He's hunting us. He's targeting our family-" "You cannot ask this!" Neytiri cuts him off "The children, everything they've ever known. The forest, this is our home!"
"He had our children. He had 'em under his knife, look at Y/n!" Jake argued back. Neytiri went silent, torn between her people and her children's safety. She went and grabbed her bow "My father gave me this bow as he lay dying! And he said protect the people.. You're Toruk Makto!" She pleaded but Jake insisted "This will protect the people!"
Y/n hated seeing his parents argue like this, he can't stand the screaming and arguing. He stands up and leaves, he knows they're leaving because what his dad says is final.
Y/n's POV
I felt mixed emotions as I left. I think I'm going to cry or something. I don't want to leave..this is our home, our place. I don't want to leave Mo'at, why does this happen to us... and why am I getting so emotional while the others seem to hold it together better.
I went inside our tent and sat down on my bed... Everything is happening so fast I can't seem to process it well. I heard someone come in and I turned to look, it's Neteyam. "Y/n" he called and sat next to me. "Everything is going to be alright" he said as he stroked my head. I push his hand away "No it's not Nete. We're leaving. I won't have another chance to see the forest and everything I knew" I say to him. "We won't know that for sure, we might return here and meet other new people along the way-" "They won't accept us!" I argued back and he was stunned. Great. Now I feel bad. "....sorry" I said to him and I lay down facing away from him. My eyes felt like they're going to burst at this point.
"Y/n.."
"What is it-?!" Suddenly Nete flipped me over so I was on top of him. "Nete! What are you-!" I shouted. Nete cupped my face and said "Listen to me, it's us against the world, Y/n. Like what dad says, this family is our fortress" He said to me, looking very seriously at me. "I know, I know, stop talking like him" I answered quickly, not in the mood for arguing. He let's go of me and lay next to me. "Your taking all the spaceee! it's my bed!" I told him, and how dare he..this is my bed. I'm fine sharing but he's pushing me out of the bed slowly. "No I'm not, come on baby bro don't be selfish-ow!!" I hit him square in the face "Don't call me that, skxawng!!" Seriously, my dear brother needs to grow out of his nickname calling phase. Oh and yes, I pushed him out of my bed.
"oh your going to get it" Nete said as he layed on top of me and practically trying to kill me cuz he is heavy! I tried to get him off but he won't budge. All of the sudden we both heard dad calling for Nete. He quickly got up and left as I sighed in relief. My mind drifts back to the current situation, imagining us going back after everything is over and how we can all live like before where we don't need to be so vigilant and careful... and Dad wouldn't need to be so worked up all the time. But a part of me knew it was impossible since we aren't going to fight back.. they will keep hunting us one way or another. The worst case scenario is if we were ever caught again.. they will surely take us away.. it could be any of us or maybe even Dad since they seemed to know him.
~~
After Neteyam was finished helping Jake pack their things, he went back to their tent. "Y/n?" Neteyam called to him but got no replies. He looked at Y/n who is asleep. "Must be tired.." Neteyam mumbled as he went to start helping packing other things. He let's Y/n sleep then after he was done he slowly got up and went outside.
When he went outside, Jake was about to get in. "Father.." Neteyam greeted, "Is your brother inside?" Jake asked him. "Yeah he is inside, sleeping," Neteyam answered his father. Jake was silent for a while before nodding, Neteyam looked at his father and noticed that he looked like he wanted to say something but he dismissed that thought.
"...Y/n is not happy about leaving" Neteyam told him, Jake looks at him "I know, none of us is happy about this decision but this is for the best. Help Tuk pack up her things we're leaving as soon as possible. Get the ikrans ready"
Y/n's POV
When I woke up everyone was already finishing packing their things, Mom came in the tent "Y/n.. I was about to wake you up, let's go, the others are waiting" I stood up quietly and followed her "I've already packed your things" she added and I only nodded.
A ceremony was held as I saw the new chief rise and Dad was demoted from the clan leader. Many people saw us off and Mom cried on the way out, we had to leave our home. I managed to see Mo'at for the last time and as we said our goodbye she gave me a hairpin. "Take care of your brothers and sisters, I trust you most" was what she said as I left.
We all got on our ikran...expect Tuk and I. Tuk went with mom and I went with Dad. I look at Neteyam, Lo'ak and Kiri who went on their own, oh how nice it must be. All of us then took off as we headed far away from the forest. I looked back behind me and the forest was getting smaller and smaller as we flew across the ocean. My hand slipped as I tried to keep a glance of the forest and almost fell but Dad quickly grabbed me. "Y/n that's enough" He said to me. Dad tightened his grip around me as we flew faster to lead to others.
As we pushed foward the forest finally disappeared. My heart became heavy by the the fact that we are going away from everything we ever known. And the fact that I and Tuk will never have our rite of passage.. I feel like I was leaving behind and missing a lot of things back at home. I can't understand how the others waa strong enough to not even cry while I'm here trying my best not to... again. Why am I like this? There's always an uneasiness feeling in my heart. It also doesn't help that the fact Spider was still back there and we aren't helping him.
~~
Jake was wondering why Y/n was so quiet since they left. He tried to take a peak at Y/n and what he saw broke his heart. His son was quietly crying and tears were running down his face. The last time he saw his son crying was that incident. Jake knows that Y/n was a strong child and he never cried or complained about anything even when Jake was being hard on him. But sometimes Jake forgot that he was just a child just like the rest. The night they escaped from Quartich, Jake almost went insane when he saw his injuries... he almost lost one of his children and it's the same one years ago. His point was proven right when he doesn't allow Y/n to go out without him or Neytiri but on the other hand he also blames himself for keeping Y/n inside with no knowledge of even self defense because he too was too focused on Netyam and Lo'ak.
Jake knew that he hadn't been tending to Y/n a lot but it's just hard for him to show affection to his sons. Every time he looked at Y/n he was reminded of how he failed to protect him. It was easy to overcome that fear long ago but since the humans invaded back it was hard, nearly impossible for him. Y/n sobs became quite louder and he coughs from trying to keep it in, Jake snapped back to reality and slowly wiped Y/n's tears away. Y/n flinched at the contact but Jake hugged him close with one of his arm and told him
"It's alright Y/n, you can let it out. You can cry, I got you"
As Jake said that Y/n began to cry quietly as he doesn't want others to know. Jake hugged him close and Y/n buried his face in his father's embrace. It felt good to Y/n that he was able to let go of the tears he was trying to hold and it calmed him down better and faster. After Y/n calmed down, the sky went gray and rain began to pour down. The water wipes away the stain on Y/n's cheeks making it impossible to tell that he cried before, the thunder follows as soon as the Sully's make their way towards the new sanctuary.
After a long time of traveling Y/n finally a glimpse of civilization. The waters were getting clearer and he could see the animals and plants inside the ocean. They went through the reefs and flew across huts and the people.
All of them looked at the Sully's as they landed. "Dad I don't think they're friendly" Y/n said to Jake. "We gotta try" Jake replied as he got Y/n off his ikran. All of them walked together to greet the chief, Y/n alongside Kiri at the back. The Metkayina immediately surround them and Jake puts his hands up to tell them they're here not to cause trouble.
Y/n's POV
We were surrounded by the people and honestly I was mesmerized by their appearance. They have different colored eyes and bodies, with tails like fins unlike us. Two boys came forward to take a look at us. Nete and Lo'ak tried to greet them but they didn't greet back... are they really going to welcome us? It doesn't look really promising. They looked kinda scary too. "Easy, just be cool" Dad said. Yeah Dad.. very helpful.
"Look! What is that? Is that supposed to be a tail?" One of them commented. They started to make fun of Lo'ak and Nete before going to me and Kiri. One of them looked stunned and I immediately held on to Kiri, not daring to make eye contact. A girl then came over and scolded the boys. I learned that their names are Rotxo and Aonung.
"Y/n.." Kiri called as she held me close. I then heard something coming and I looked up to see three people but they were riding something like a flying fish, I guess they must be the leaders judging from their outfit. I remember Dad saying they are Tonowari and Ronal..
Dad and Mom greeted them "Why do you come to us, Jake Sully?" Tonowari asked and Dad replied "We seek Uturu"
"Uturu?" Ronal immediately replied, her tone was not happy. "Yes, sanctuary for my family" Dad added but she did not reply. She came and inspected us one by one as Tonowari tried to explain what her wife meant and how it is not possible… and she was right. They are reef people and we are forest people. She went to Mom and Tuk "Their arms are thin" she continued to me and Kiri. She grabbed Kiri's tail "Their tails are weak. You will be slow in the water"
~~
Ronal then went to Y/n but he stepped back, looking down. She was shocked to see Y/n's hair and skin. Ronal was persuasive and grabbed Y/n's hair looking at the color, she had never seen them before. Y/n looked at her and she could tell that Y/n was afraid, his eyes turned into a shade of chartreuse as the sun shone on them. Ronal's frown disappeared a little and turned into a curiosity. She trailed her hand down to Y/n's shoulder and grabbed his hands, suddenly shocked she announced "These childrens... are not even true Na'vi"
Y/n looked back at his family as Ronal let him go and everyone was shocked. Kiri pulled Y/n close to her as she said "Yes we are!"
Ronal inspects Lo'ak and found the same result too. "They have demon blood!" She shouted and the people began to become uneasy. Jake immediately jumped in the situation "Look, look" he raised his hand, showing five fingers. "Look, I was born of the sky people and now I am Na'vi. All right? You can adapt, We will adapt, okay?" he makes his voice heard and clear. Neytiri on the other hand was not pleased with Ronal's attitude as she chimed in "My husband was Toruk Makto" she said as she walks toward Ronal.
"He led clans to victory against the Sky People" she added. "This you call victory?" Ronal shot back "Hiding among strangers?" She went to Neytiri "It seems that Eywa has turned her back on you.. choosen one" she said to Jake. Neytiri hissed at Ronal and she hissed back, challenging. Jake stepped in between them and said "I apologize for my mate, she's.." "Do not apologize for me" Neytiri said but Jake continued "... has flown a long away, and she's exhausted." "Jake." Neytiri said but Jake looked at her and told her to back down and Neytiri obliged. Tonowari also tried to ease the tension "Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Na'vi prople know his story... But we Metkayina are not at war.." he turned to Jake and added "We cannot let you bring your war here" Jake responded "I'm done with war. Okay? I just want to keep my family safe"
Neytiri was done going back and forth as she repeated "Uturu has been asked". Tonowari turned to discuss with Ronal and suddenly Tuk, in Jake's arms asked "Do we have to go?". Jake answerd "We'll be okay"
Ronal looked at this interaction before looking at her husband. Her fierce eyes met his soft eyes and after a moment she agree. Tonowari was relieved and announce it to the people.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters. Now they do not know the sea, so they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways, so they do not suffer the shame of being... useless" Jake was relieved as he said thank you and the others followed.
"My son, Aonung, our daughter, Tsireya, will show your children what to do"
Aonung was not happy about this decision "Father, why do-" Tonowari cuts him off "It is decided." Y/n looked at the other sibling, Tsireya who was much the polar opposite as she speak happily "Come, I will show you our village"
Y/n's POV
Tsireya showed us around the village and the last place to our new house. The road was built above the water with some kind of weaving and it was bouncy. Tuk hopped along the way and it was relieving to see her laugh and smile. Mom and Kiri were definitely not too happy about everything, their faces were telling that enough. So when the other went out to explore I stayed with Mom.
I was laying my head on her lap as she brushed my hair "Your hair has grown, Y/n. Do you want to cut it?" I always keep it short because I was inspired by Kiri and I asked her to make my hair the same style as her.
"No need Mom" I answered her.. It is better if I keep it long, that way I can hide it better. "You have such a beautiful hair, like your father" Mom said as she brushed my hair "Doesn't dad has the same hair as the others?" Mom chuckled at my question "When I first met him his hair was smooth, like a baby. And his braids was messy, like a child" I chuckled along with her at her remark
"It's nice to see your hair grow out, it's healthy and beautiful" She said as she divided my hair into sections to braid it. She divide the section of my white hair alone and I tuck my hair in instinctively "No need to braid it Mom, it's fine"
"Y/n..."
Mom immediately noticed my plan of not cutting my hair and I tried to argue with her but it's no use. In the end she braided only my white hair and gave it some beads.... Why did I even stay here? Oh yeah I wanted to make her feel better but this is what I got. I looked at her and she was silently laughing! How mean! "Not funny Mom. I'll be laughed at!" I argued. "You should be proud of it Y/n, it's beautiful.. If someone makes fun of it you tell me immediately"
The others suddenly came back as Dad called us for a family meeting.
~~
"Kiri" Neytiri called as she ask Kiri to sit down. "Okay" Jake started "I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it." He said as he looked at his kids one by one. "Learn fast, pull your weight. Don't cause trouble, you got it?" Lo'ak knew it was directed at him so he answered "Yes, sir." "I want to go home" Tuk who was quiet the whole time suddenly speaks and she was crying. Y/n pulls Tuk close to him and rubs her back "Oh Tuk.." Neytiri was saddened at Tuk's state. Jake holds Tuk gand and said "Tuk, this is our home now" Jake sighs before he continued "Now we're gonna get through this if we have each other's backs all right?" He tried to assure his childrens and Neytiri also helped "What does your Father always say?" Neteyam, Lo'ak and Y/n answered "Sully's stick together"
"That's right. Sully's stick together" Jake repeats but Kiri stays quiet. "Now with some feelings yeah?" Jake tried again and this time Tuk and Kiri joined in.
"Sully's stick together"
Tumblr media
The next day they started with their lessons to learn how to live like a Metkayina. This time Jake cannot ask Y/n to stay back because he had to learn, and the place isn't as dangerous as the forest because Sky people aren't present.
Aonung, Tsireya and Rotxo jumped into the water followed by Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk. Y/n stayed behind for a while as he observed the others especially on how they swim, he didn't jump in like the others. Instead he slowly went in the water after he tied his hair and hold his breath as he sinked down.
Y/n opened his eyes to see thousands of sea creatures inside the ocean. The water was clear and there are many corals with different colors and shapes. The animals noticed him and suddenly swims towards him, circling and pecking him. Y/n get ticklish and breaks free. He saw his siblings in front of him and tried to swim to them, he slowly tries to swim like how Tsireya and Aonung does it. Y/n slowly pushed through the water, as he kicked his legs to move suddenly he felt a strong current from behind and resulted in him swimming faster and further forward. Y/n looked back thinking it was an animal pushed or something but nothing was behind him. He tested it again and pushed forward but this time stronger and resulted in him losing control.
Y/n panicked as he tried to stop but he can't as the flow of the water kept pushing him. Y/n looks infront and he was about to crash into Tuk so he immediately turned. He was relieved for a moment and saw that his siblings was going up so he made a turn while still being pushed by the flow but that resulted in him crashing into someone else. Aonung.
Tsireya and the others were looking at the Sully's as they had to take their breaths for the second time. Aonung and Rotxo were making fun of them when suddenly Y/n crashed into Aonung.
Aonung was shoved forward. Only after that did the flow stopped behind Y/n and oh boy did he crash into the chief's son. Flustered and panicked Y/n quickly swims up to the surface as the other followed, Aonung had no time to shout at him. Y/n reaches the surface as he gasps for air "Y/n! Are you alright?! You crashed!" Neteyam quickly swims to him with Lo'ak and Tuk following. Y/n was still catching his breath "I-I don't-" "Catch your breath Y/n" Lo'ak said to him as he pats Y/n's back.
The others went up and Aonung looked pissed. "Did you swim with your eyes closed? It hurts you know!" "Sorry.." Y/n quietly apologized. Aonung heard what Y/n said but he wasn't pleased "I can't hear you, frea-" "Hey! He said sorry alright? Did swimming makes your hearing a problem?" Lo'ak cuts him off. Aonung was about to talk back when Tsireya halted him "That's enough. It was an accident and Y/n already apologized"
She turned back to the others "It's alright Y/n, he isn't hurt. Are you all right?"
Tuk chipped in "Your too fast! Wait for us". Tsireya chuckles and assured them "Just breath, breath" "You are not good divers- ow!" Aonung jumped in and immediately earned a smack on head. "Come on, bro" Lo'ak said and Neteyam also added "We don't speak this.. finger talk, guys. We don't know what you're saying". Tsireya calmly replied "I will teach you"
"Where is Kiri?" Rotxo suddenly asked. "Kiri?" "Who?" "Kiri. Where is Kiri?" Y/n looked at Rotxo who took notice of Kiri's absent. "Did you see her?" Tsireya asked and Y/n replied calmly "I think she is still swimming. She's really good at it". Y/n saw Kiri along the way and saw how she quickly adapts and got busy exploring the new world.
Next day
"These are ilu" Aonung said as he introduced the animal to the Sully's. "If you want to live here.. you have to ride."
Y/n's POV
The next lesson we are having are riding an ilu. Kiri didn't want to come with us because she wanted some alone time. I was actually pretty excited about this one because it's similar like iknimaya which I always wanted to do but can't due to Dad being a douchebag.
One problem is that I think Aonung is still pissed about yesterday as his tone was very different when talking to me. I carried Tuk with me as an ilu approach us. "Is this yours?" I asked him and he looks at me "Of course not, this one is for you guys to use. They're quite tamed already so it easier for you" he said. "When did you first make a bond with an ilu?" Nete ask him this time and he shortly answered "When I was young" Tuk wanted to pet the ilu so I set her down Nete joined along to interact with the ilu with her.
As I turned, Aonung approached me "Anyways, white hair, been wanted to ask this but how is your hair white?" I tensed up at the question and answered him "My name is Y/n and my hair is not white...only some of it." "Is it because of your demon blood?" He looked at me and smirked. I ignore him and went to Nete but he grabbed my arm "Why are you running away? I asked you a question". I yanked my arms out from him "I don't know, alright? Please stop pointing it out. I don't feel comfortable about it" He became quiet. Guess that works... it was awkward afterwards so I went back to my siblings.
I went to my siblings and they were playing with the ilu. "What’s wrong Y/n" Nete asked me "It's nothing.." I answered and just then I saw Lo'ak and Tsireya. Lo'ak was first to try and make a bond with the ilu. Tsireya guides him as the others watched and I can tell he was nervous... or trying to act smart or something? He wasn't really listening to what Tsireya said. He makes the bond quite fast and the others were commenting about his position but he just took off.
Aonung and Tsireya dives down to see Lo'ak and I followed... not long after he fell off or should I say failed quite harshly. I chuckled a bit before going up "He fell off didn't he?" Nete asked. "Yeah, but it's a good thing we're in the water. Falling off from an ikran is a much more ouch isn't it?" "Yeah it is" Neteyam and I laughed quietly together as Lo'ak looked embarrassed in front of his crush, Tsireya.
"White hair! Your next" Aonung called me and everyone else snicker at that nickname. I instantly felt worse as I felt everyone's eye look at me. I look at Nete "Come on now, or are you afraid?" Aonung said to me as he gestured. Nete was about to kill Aonung but I held him back. "Y/n-" "It's fine, don't make it a big deal" I told him. I try to ignore the stares but it's making me nervous..
~~
Y/n went to the ilu and as his hand came in contact with it, the ilu's eye widen and it screech. Before Y/n could react the ilu rebels and pushed him back. The others tried to calm it down but in the end the ilu ran away. "Well, there goes the ilu" "He did way worse than his brother" the others laughed. Y/n was clearly embarrassed and mentally prepares himself for another insult like from Aonung but it never came. Y/n was surprised when he just shushed the other kids and looked at the sully's "You guys have a lot to learn, and a long way."
In the end Tsireya decided to split up the group as she took Tuk with her, while Aonung and Roxto got the boys. Needless to say, the session was quite a hellish moment for the boys because they were continuously tortured by Aonung and Rotxo. Although they were constantly laughed at, Aonung and Rotxo still gave them some helpful advice and corrections on how to ride, resulting in Lo'ak and Neteyam learning faster. On the other hand, Y/n scared away almost all of the ilu's and was not able to bond with any of them.
"You do know that ilu's can sense your emotions and feelings, have a little faith in yourself and you'll make my job easier by not scaring away all the ilus" Aonung told Y/n. It was silent between the both of them and Y/n was baffled "....How did you-" "Your face is like an open book" Aonung said. Y/n was quite embarrassed by his statement but he well he gets that a lot. Neytiri also told him that he needs to learn to have a little faith in himself, especially if he wants to catch up to his siblings.
"Thanks for telling me" Y/n smiled and Aonung looked away and quickly changes the topic "A-Anyways, go on have a try. You better not scare it away again"
He brought another ilu and held it in place. By this time Y/n was feeling a lot better. He looked at the ilu and accidentally made eye contact with it. However this time, the ilu did not run away, instead the ilu approached him. Aonung tried to hold it back but when he knew that the ilu was trying to get to Y/n, he let go of it. Y/n smiled again as the ilu made his way to him. Y/n offers his hand and the ilu gladly complies. He looks at Aonung, trying to show him and Aonung tells Y/n to make the bond.
Y/n's POV
I hold my tsaheylu and slowly make the bond, a huge wave of emotionos flows through me. I can see fragments of memories that doesn't belong to mine. I learn that the ilu is a female, after that I got on the ilu as Aonung guided me "You are doing it wrong, you and your brothers are all the same" he huffs in annoyance, and well I just say sorry. He helped me fix my posture while grumbling to himself. After he was done, he told me "You are the one who will lead her, not the other way around. Got it?"
"Okay" I answered back. I took a deep breath and told her to go underwater. She happily oblige and we were moving under the water. I couldn't believe it! We moved slowly at first and then she started to accelerate, I held on to her more securely as she took me to explore the waters.
Tumblr media
It felt so magical..there was a lot of sea creatures and plants. We moved fastly in the water, just like how I usually see when my siblings were riding their ikran. We swim for a while before going up to the surface again.
~~
"I did it!" Y/n happily said when he came up to the surface. "Did you see that?!" He aprroached Aonung excitedly. "Yeah, nice-" Aonung was abtuptly cut off when Neteyam and Lo'ak stepped in the middle of them both "You did it Y/n!" They said, congratulating him. "Even I couldn't do it as fast as you! you're a fast learner" Lo'ak added. Aonung face sours a bit "it's not that he is a fast learner. He listend to my instructions well. Tomorrow we'll work on your breathing" he said while walking away.
<Couple hours later>
At night, while everyone was alseep, Y/n was wide awake because of a nightmare he just had. He didn't want to talk about it or remember it. Yet there was something bothering him. Like a feeling of uncertainty. It didn't help much by the fact Spider was still kidnapped. He steps outside the marui and went to a nearby shore to clear his mind. He sat down and takes a look at the ocean, the sounds of the waves does help. Y/n looked at the vast ocean longingly, he missed their home, their forest. The green lush paradise with never-ending adventures, the flying mountains, and the animals.. they don't have it here. As Y/n stared emptily he suddenly felt something wet poking him. When he look beside him he yelped in surprise when a strange creature like animal was staring at him. There was something wrong with the creature, it was made out of water.
"What in the name of science..." Y/n looked at the creature slowly, trying to figure out what it is. The creature just stood still and kept looking at him. It looks really harmless though. No sharp teeth or claws....just water. As he take a closer look, he realized that the creature looked liked a fan lizard. Y/n's eyes widen and he immediately tried to touch it. "Hey-! Wait!" Y/n shouted as the water creature ran back to the ocean and perished before he could even touch it. Y/n went inside of the water as he tried to look for it but since the creature was literally made of water so it's pointless. "Aw man!" Y/n punched the water surface out of frustration. He walks further but then he suddenly heard a voice.
"Y/n! There you are-! Why are you there?! Get back to land!"
ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: sully kids x hard of hearing metkayina male reader (platonic)
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: In a search for a way to communicate with you, the family has to master Na'vi sign language. Along the way of teaching them, however, you learn more about yourself.
ᴀɴᴏɴ: can you do a male Metkayina clan reader BUT the reader is hard of hearing because of the water from swimming.
ʀᴇ𝐐: yes ~ ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 6148 ~ extra ~ gn reader vers.
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: feelings of shame and embarrassment, struggling to hear and understand people (and yourself), hints of angst
Tumblr media
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: we don't have resources for their exact sign language so i made some things up (since na'vi sign language isn't the same as asl) as well as iknimaya trials and traditions.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Ever since you were a kid, you had always loved the ocean. The Metkayina clan was a tribe of the water, the ocean, so it made sense; but unlike others your age who preferred to play with each other, you enjoyed being completely surrounded by Eywa's children within the ocean.
You had no qualms with solitude, as all you needed was the sea; but eventually, it proved to be a problem.
The sea gives and the sea takes; it gave you a world to love and took your hearing.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Tsireya introduced you to Sully's in their first lesson as one of the Metkayina who truly loved the ocean. "This is our best free diver," She put a hand on your shoulder, "(y/n). You're lucky I managed to find him."
Instead of responding in some negative way at her comment, you grin and offer a small wave.
"How so?" Lo'ak questions.
Tsireya doesn't answer outright. She giggles, "You'll see."
The chief's children and you jump into the water, demonstrating the proper way to dive in that best transitions into swimming. The Sully's, on the other hand, jump into the water as though in play.
You could see it in their eyes, their amazement. The sea was an entirely different world from the one above, it was something you loved about it.
Only the Na'vi and their animal companions mingled on the coast above. The ilu could be compared to their banshees, nothing special; and the people, though physically different, were still Na'vi.
You didn't doubt that these water creatures were unlike anything they'd seen before, and you were happy that they were astonished with the wildlife you, too, loved.
You turn back forward to swim, knowing that they'll follow. You show them the form, using your tail to help and keeping your body like a spear to be able to cut through the water.
You lead them deeper into the sea, but Ao'nung taps your shoulder. You turn to follow his finger, which points up.
The Sully's were taking a breath of air. Right, that's probably something you should teach them, but you were probably not the best teacher.
Within the water, your safe haven, you tended to forget many things, so you signed to them, keep going, forgetting they didn't know how to sign.
You keep swimming, this time checking up on them as you reach an underwater slope. They were bad swimmers, it seemed, which is an idea sort of incomprehensible to you, as every Metkayina was basically born in the ocean. They pushed off of coral and rock formations to push forward and keep up.
They don't even make it to you when they go back up for air.
What's wrong with them? Ao'nung signs.
They're bad divers. Rotxo replies. Though fingers and hands hardly conveyed emotion, you knew from Rotxo and Ao'nung's generally jokester demeanor that he was making fun of them.
Stop, they're learning. Tsireya scolds.
Whilst they talk to one another, you get distracted with something out of the corner of your eye. It was bioluminescence, hardly noticeable during the daytime, which is why it's so curious. You forget the lesson at hand and follow it.
The chief's children and Rotxo swim up to talk to the Sully's where they will actually understand each other. It is only after Tsireya promises to teach them sign language, which Neteyam ignorantly describes as "finger talk", that they notice you and their dear sister's disappearance.
The bioluminescence you had caught came from a lone hammerhead squid, which is even more peculiar because it was alone. Perhaps it was paranoid, because when it saw you, it began swimming away with determination.
You struggle to catch up with it.
It dives behind large coral, hoping to lose you, but you always catch up. Hammerhead squids found safety in numbers, so they usually didn't go so fast, which means it would tire out soon.
Knowing this, you kept up the chase. Regardless, however, it puts up a good fight.
It shoots out its ink prematurely. The black liquid disperses in the water, clouding much of the view ahead of you. Instead of swimming through it, you dive under, although you almost bump into a sharp rock. Narrowly, you avoid it, swimming up quickly once you're past the ink.
Though you move past it, its original outcome–clouding your view–succeeds. When you clear the ink, you suddenly bump into someone.
Sorry. You sign, rubbing at your forehead where you'd bumped into her, so so sorry.
The girl before you is one of the Sully's. Her eyebrows furrow, confusion in her face, but you misinterpret it as anger. Great, it's the Sully's first day in the clan and you were already giving bad impressions.
I didn't mean to bump into you.
Her eyebrows furrow further. Ultimately, although she doesn't like it, she decides to surface so that the two of you may speak. She points up and you understand.
Once you're up at the surface, she says, "I don't know what you're saying."
You had long since memorized the way one's mouth moves when they say those words, and their variations, so you explain, "I was apologizing for bumping into you."
Though the next couple words come muddled to you, you just barely catch her saying "alright" and a wave of relief washes over you. "What's your name?"
"Kiri." She gives you a polite smile.
"Nice to meet you, Kiri." You nod. "I didn't realize we'd lost you while diving. Why'd you wander off?"
"Oh, I um," She worries that you may think her a freak, so she waters it down. "I got distracted."
You chuckle, "Yeah, I get it. Happens a lot to me too. It's like a different world, isn't it?"
Her face lights up when you agree with her, "Yeah, it is." She ached to observe it again, to be surrounded by Eywa'eveng. "Do you mind if I..?" She gestures down.
You tilt your head, confused. "You what?"
"Go down again." Kiri mutters, little ashamed to say out loud that she'd rather be underwater than talk with you, but you manage to read her lips.
"Oh, of course I don't." You shake your head, "Actually, I was in the middle of finding something. Do you wanna come with?"
Though she much preferred to take the sights all in on her own and on her own time, she had to admit your offer was interesting. "Okay, sure." She nods.
Kiri follows you back underwater, and keeps swimming after you. Reminded of the other Sully's, you make sure to keep your head straight and swim at a slower pace.
As you keep swimming past large coral and columns of algae, trying to catch a glimpse of the squid you were searching for before, Kiri gets distracted by something particularly special out of the corner of her eye.
She stays in place, entranced, and almost swims for it before remembering the task at hand. However, when she turns to you, you're swimming back to her.
Txampaysye. You sign, but of course she wouldn't understand. So, you wave your hand in the water to create ripples in the current and signify the water. Then, you pass a hand from your stomach to your throat and out your mouth to signify breathing. Breathing underwater.
Somehow, she understands. Though the butterfly-like Txampaysye catches her attention, uncharacteristically of her, she gestures for you to keep going. She'll have time another day.
Just a bit of swimming later, you find the squid again. It doesn't notice you. You point at it and Kiri's head tilts with curiosity.
How could a squid be bioluminescent in the day? The sunlight's rays still reached it.
Do you want to catch it? You closed your hand, from splayed fingers into a fist very quickly, the sign for catch. It was pretty straight forward, so Kiri understood; what she didn't understand, and what she was against, was the idea.
The question was only formal. You swim forward without waiting for her answer, thinking she wanted to catch it.
You approach it as silently as possible, keeping your arms to your body and swaying up and down, using your feet like a fin. You keep your tail rigid and in place, for paddling it side to side as opposed to up and down like your legs would create unnecessary noise.
Once you are close enough, you lunge with a quick, sharp movement. It doesn't have time to react before you catch it between your fingers and palm.
Triumphantly, you turn to Kiri with your hand raised, failing to notice her growing anger. You swim towards her with enthusiasm.
Fyìp ioang. You sign.
For a moment you think you may be misinterpreting confusion as anger again, but you quickly realize you're interpreting correctly. Kiri pries your fingers apart, freeing the creature who spurts the last of its ink (only a little) and leaves.
Her eyebrows are furrowed, a look you hate, and she points up towards the surface again. You follow, embarrasment beginning to spread through your body.
"You shouldn't be taking animals against their will." She scolds, pointing an accusatory finger at you. Her anger was loud and clear in her voice, loud enough for you to hear.
"Sorry." You purse your lips and mumble so low you can't even hear it yourself, "I was only curious."
She huffs, "Your curiosity doesn't mean you can imprison them just to poke and prod."
"Yeah," You point your gaze down, "you're right."
"Just don't do it again." With that, she begins to swim away, not caring if you follow her.
With shame, you dive back into the water, in search of one of your favorite places to soothe yourself.
She was right, of course, but your curiosity was often one of your driving points. It was why you spent most of your time in the ocean, what kept you entertained underwater. On the other hand, it was also why you'd lost so much of your hearing.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The next morning, on their way to their second lesson, the Sully's find you.
Lo'ak, after yesterday, now understands why Tsireya was lucky to find you before. He thinks they're pretty lucky today, too, as it seems you're going to head into the ocean. "(y/n)!" He calls for your attention, but you don't hear him.
You're just about to dive in, so Lo'ak hurries up to meet you. He catches you by the shoulder. "Hey."
"Hey." You greet him with a smile. "What's up?"
"You left us yesterday. Where'd you go?" He asks curiously.
"I'm sorry, what?" You ask, having not heard him entirely.
"Where'd you go?" He repeats.
Again, you don't hear him. You purse your lips, the shame of not being able to understand people creeping in. "Oh, sorry, I didn't hear you."
"Where did you go?" Lo'ak repeats for the third time, slowing down his speech.
"Look, I'm really sorry–"
Neteyam catches up, slinging an arm over Lo'ak's shoulder. "What my brother means to ask is where you went yesterday, when you were supposed to be teaching us."
"Teach you?" You tilt your head as you think. Did the Olo'eyktan assign you something? Tsireya only took the opportunity because she saw you yesterday. You can't think of anything, though. "What am I supposed to teach you?"
Lo'ak sighs, "When you were teaching us how to free dive?"
The sigh makes you purse your lips. Your stupid ears were making people frustrated again. Still, you couldn't say anything when you didn't understand them. "...what about it?"
Tsireya comes to save you, noticing the struggle between you and the Sully's. "(y/n), here," She begins, pushing Lo'ak's hand off your shoulder, "struggles to hear, if you guys haven't noticed."
She signs to you, taking advantage of the fact they don't know how to sign. Do you want them to know your story?
You shake your head, to which she nods.
"It'd be much appreciated if you guys spoke louder, spoke clearer, and moved your mouths wider." She demonstrates the way they should speak as she instructs them. "It helps him to be able to read your lips until you learn how to sign."
"So he can hear us?" Lo'ak asks.
"Barely." You respond, reminding him that you are in fact in this conversation.
Neteyam nods, rubbing a burn into his brother's scalp. "Sorry, Lo'ak needs to remember these sorts of things."
"Shut up, bro." He pushes his brother away, causing him to skid sideways a few paces.
"(y/n), you would be a great help in teaching them sign language." Tsireya turns to you, signing as she speaks.
You understand, but you purse your lips. "Today? I sort of wanted to explore..."
"Doesn't have to be today, no," She shakes her head, "today is about breathing. If you want to leave, that's perfectly alright."
She smiles at you. Oh, Eywa, you loved Tsireya. She was so kind.
You take her permission and give a wave before diving into the water.
You swim farther into the ocean, trying to wash off your embarrassment with the cool water. It burned in your cheeks, anyway.
When the Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk found out about your hearing loss, you had already reached a point where there was no way to be healed. Everyone blamed your parents, their neglect for your ears and the proper care after a swim. But in truth, you knew you were also to blame.
It had been a long time since you were a burden. The Metkayina accommodated for your hearing loss. You were lucky to be born in the clan who originated the language that didn't require hearing. You had long since come to a comfortable life because of it.
When you realize that the embarrassment won't wear off so easy, you lay down on the sea grass covered sand—or lay down as best you can. The current pushes your head and limbs up.
Your intent was to relax, but the bioluminescent squid from yesterday pops up above you. You react quickly, reaching out and trapping it in your hand again.
You. You sign, awkward because you're one-handed, You embarrassed me in front of Kiri.
You'd missed two of its tentacles in grabbing it. It crosses its arms, giving you attitude, then pointed at you instead. Somehow, you understand.
Alright, fine. You huff, It's my fault. You release the squid, but this time it lingers. You forgive me?
It waves two of its tentacles up and down as if to nod its head.
You pluck a small fish from its school and hand it over as an extra peace offering. Sorry, fyìp.
It stares blankly at your offering. Clearly, it was refusing it, because it was definitely capable of catching that fish on its own. Also, you were ignoring the lesson Kiri taught you. You release the fish, which scurries back to its school, signing sorry again.
Why do you want to hang out with me?
The tentacles at its sides raise up in a shrug.
You lost your group. You purse your lips, extending your hand so that the squid may sit on it, even if it is redundant underwater. Are you trying to find a new one?
It shrugs again, though accepts the spot you give it on your hand.
Well, I suppose we're the same in that. You and I, we're special. I'm hard of hearing, and you're bioluminescent. You laugh inwardly, Although, those are two different things.
Fyìp does a twirl in your hand. It seems pleased.
Alright, let's go. I'll show you some of my favorite places.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
After the Sully's breathing exercises, Neteyam is eager to find you. He dives into the water, both practicing his breathing and speed.
For the third time, he's lucky to find you returning to the village for dinner, this time you were fortunately not caught up in exploring the sea.
Neteyam waves his hand in greeting. You do the same, though you hadn't realized he had more to say.
(y/n). He signs.
Immediately, your eyes light up. Neteyam is delighted.
Who taught you that? You sign. Your hands are a flurry of speed, but he manages to catch the words anyway.
He recognized "you" and "taught" and the distinct lack of "I", so he can assume what you asked. Tsireya. He signs simply, for she hadn't taught him much more than that and your names.
I'll teach you too.
He recognizes "I", "teach", and "you", and understands. He nods excitedly, then points up towards the surface. You follow.
"You're learning." You grin as you surface.
"Yeah." His smile turns bashful, "I want to learn so I can talk to you better." He even exaggerates the movement of his lips so that you may read them.
"Aww, that's sweet." Though you've only known him for so long, you give him a hug. "Thank you."
"No need to thank me." He shakes his head, still holding your elbows gently even as you part from the hug, "It's just what I should do."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Oh, you skxawng! You're late, you're late, you're late!
Too caught up within the serenity that the sea brought you, you had forgotten that you were supposed to be teaching the Sully's sign language!
You swim towards the shore with much hurry. Your body was preoccupied with a mission, to get there fast, and your mind was berating you for being stuck in your head so much. Because of it, you're not exactly focusing on the world around you.
"Oof!" You grunt as you bump into a column. It was one of the ones that supported the Marui pods above.
You pull yourself up onto your elbows on the pathway between pods, spitting out the water you'd caught in your mouth when you bumped so stupidly into a column.
Your squid friend jumps up too, sticking to your leg then climbing up to your shoulder. Its sticky tentacles feel weird on your skin, but you pay it no mind. Instead, you focus on cradling the spot on your forehead where you collided.
When Fyìp lands on your shoulder, you turn to it with a huff and go back to rubbing your head. Then, once you actually notice, you double take back to it.
"You can go above the surface?"
Now, no longer muffled by the water, you can just barely catch its squeal. Huh, so it was making sound all this time.
It twirls around your shoulder as if to say yes.
You turn your head back forward, resting your chin on the pathway. "I'm so stupid–wait." The Sully's and the chief's children are having the lesson quite a few ways ahead of you. They didn't seem to notice you. "It's them."
Fyìp's eyes almost seem to light up when it sees Kiri.
"Gah, should I really be joining them now? I'm so late!" You frown, thinking it over. "I'd be so lost," You narrate your thoughts for Fyìp, "every time I think about something to teach, what if they already taught it? What even is their teaching plan? I shouldn't have gone out today. Should've stayed to talk to Tsireya."
Thanks to your awful hearing and tunnel-vision, you don't notice Fyìp yapping in your ear. Only when it slaps you on the shoulder–it was a small animal, hardly hurt–do you pay attention to it.
"What?" You whine, now rubbing your shoulder.
Fyìp points forward vigorously, pulling its tentacle forwafd and back repeatedly.
"It'll be so embarrassing."
It crosses its arms in front of itself like a no. Even though you're sure it will be, Fyìp's insistence reminds you of your promise to Neteyam. It wasn't broken just yet.
"Okay, fine."
At your affirmation, Fyìp drops back into the water. You follow suit.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Learning a new language, later in your life, was always hard. Although, Jake Sully was the only one in his family with that experience.
"Lo'ak, why are you home early?" Jake and Neytiri rush over to him, sitting down as he does.
"Sign language is so hard." Lo'ak groans, his head down.
"Learning another language is hard," Jake affirms, putting a reassuring hand on his son's shoulder. "but it's like everything else. With practice, you'll get the hang of it."
"At first, he was terrible at Na'vi too." Neytiri grins, causing Jake to roll his eyes.
"Yes, and I became better." He gives her a pointed look, to which she only replies by baring her fangs playfully.
"Well, it's more than that." Lo'ak frowns, looking down at his hands, the very reason he was so different. "I have five fingers! Everyone else has four. Whenever there's a sign that requires fingers, everyone stares at me and Kiri. Their looks are so blank, but I can tell what they're thinking."
"So why didn't you say something?" Jake asks. "It's unlike you to not do anything."
It was a good question that left him silent as he thought. He didn't really know the answer, not as he dug through the surface of his mind. As he searched deeper, he found an answer, but he didn't really want to believe it. "It's because... Tsireya and (y/n) were there."
"And..?" Neytiri prods for him to continue.
"I don't want to disappoint them..." Lo'ak purses his lips, "or be a burden to them."
"Son," Jake places his hands on both Lo'ak's shoulders, causing him to finally look up at him. Jake wanted to be sure that Lo'ak understood the sentiment behind his words. "you're only learning. You can't disappoint them. And if they get upset at you, then that's their fault because they do not understand you and who you are."
"Next time," Neytiri speaks up, catching their attention, "make an arrangement. Find a way to work around it. Alright?"
Lo'ak nods, "Okay."
Usually, you were the one sought out within the Metkayina if they ever needed you because you were always doing something in the ocean. The sea was vast and cluttered, from seawall terrace to the shore, it was all within the realm of possibility of where you were.
But, for once, you're seeking someone out.
"Kiri!" You call, "I was looking for you."
She emerges from the ocean, ringing the water out of her hair. Too caught up in the sights and feeling Eywa in the sea, she had missed dinner. You could relate to that, so you had to make sure she was taking care of herself.
"What is it?" Kiri asks, treading carefully on her words.
"I saved you some dinner." You hand her a leaf dish of fish.
"Oh." Only once she sees the food does she remember her growling stomach and hunger. "Thank you." She takes the leaf from you gingerly but begins to scarf it down once it's in her own hands.
"It's no problem." You begin, "Sometimes I accidentally skip dinner too. I know the feeling of great hunger in the morning."
Kiri nods in understanding.
"Make sure to get the water out of your ears." You enthusiastically demonstrate by tipping your head to the side and tapping the side of it. "You don't want to end up like me."
Kiri almost chokes on her food. She coughs and puts it on the sand temporarily. "Like you?"
"You know," She doesn't know how you can retain a smile like this. "bad hearing and all."
Ever since you'd lost the majority of your hearing, the adults started using you as an example of what not to do. Not only did they advice the young ones while using your example, they also advised your peers. At first, it was embarrassing, but you began to understand why you were an example and had long since grown used to the embarrassment it brought.
"(y/n), are you using yourself as an example?"
"What?" You tease, "Wanna end up like me?"
"No, (y/n), that's not what I mean." She takes both your hands in hers. "You shouldn't be using yourself as an example of what happens if you don't take care of yourself."
"Why not?" It was pretty normal to you now. You purse your lips, "Everyone uses me as an example. I am what happens if you don't–"
"Because," Kiri breathes out in disbelief, "you're more than an example. You're your own person. You're more than your past mistakes."
"You're right," You snicker at the thought, "just like last time."
"I'm just saying what has to be said." She reassures, rubbing her thumbs over the back of your hands, "Value yourself more."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The trend of you seeking other people out, when it'd always been the opposite before, followed along for Lo'ak.
After your sign language lessons, you retreated into the ocean to clear your thoughts. Now that you had what you were looking for, you had to find Lo'ak, which thankfully doesn't take long.
"Lo'ak!" You call as your eyes find him.
He himself seemed to be searching for you too, so when he sees you, his eyes brighten. He covers the ground between you two quickly. "Hey, I was just looking for you."
"Me too. Do you wanna go first?"
He nods, "I found out a way we can work around my fingers."
"Your fingers?" You tilt your head forward.
"Yeah." He shows them off, wiggling all five for you.
"What about them?"
"Oh," He realizes the question wasn't because you'd somehow forgotten how many he had, but because you hadn't heard the rest of his sentence. He speaks with his mouth wider for you, "I found a way to work around them."
"That's what I was trying to find you for, actually." You snicker, "I found a way to work with them."
"With them?" He hadn't thought it possible.
"Yep." You grin, "Oh, but you were going first. Go on."
"Right, um," Lo'ak lifts one of his hands with the other, up to your view, then he pulls his last finger down. "I was thinking we could tie down my pinkie."
"Your pinkie?"
"My last finger, the smallest, it's called the pinkie."
"Okay, right." You nod.
"Tie it down with like a, um," He snaps his fingers while he thinks. "rope or something until I learn to stop using it."
After hearing his thought, you burst out laughing. It leaves Lo'ak confused. He stands there awkwardly, arms falling down to his sides with a building shame because he can't understand what you were laughing at.
"Sorry, um," You shake your head to wipe the laughter from your face, "that's too cruel, Lo'ak."
"Cruel?" He asks, eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, don't you think? It's just like what your sister taught me. We shouldn't take things against their will." You hold his hand to bring it back between the two of you and press his pinkie down against his palm. The force you put on his knuckle and the position is rather uncomfortable for Lo'ak, and it shows in his face. "See?"
"Yeah, you're right." He mutters, then realizes his mistake. "Sorry, I mean, you're right." He enunciates louder and clearer. "Just that... I couldn't really find any other way."
"Well, I was thinking we could just use your middle fingers as a unit." You bring his pinkie back up and press your fingers on his middle fingers, "What do you call them?"
"This is the middle finger," He wiggles it and specifically avoids accidentally showing it off to you, even if you probably don't know what it means. "and this is the ring finger."
"Okay." You nod, understanding quickly. Then, you press your fingers against the ring's left and the middle's right and hold them together. "We can consider these as my middle finger."
You hold your hand up next to his, pulling your other fingers down to show him the middle. He almost laughs and tells you the meaning, but decides it's funnier if you don't know.
"Say, "happen" for example." You use his hand as if it were your own, as yours was holding it, and press the side of yourd against it. Then, you bring it to the side quickly whilst pushing your fingers wide apart. "To mimic my middle finger, you can use your middle and ring fingers together."
"But... wouldn't it be confusing?" Lo'ak argues, looking up into your eyes.
You turn away from him, biting your lip, "Much the same as you're... accommodating for me by learning sign language, we must accommodate for you too. It's only right."
"Accommodate..." He hated that word, and clearly, you were just as ashamed to use it. It had been used all throughout your lives because of your particularities. "Let's not say that."
You turn back up to him, a glimmer of hope within your eyes. "What do you mean?"
"Let's not say we're accommodating for our differences." He turns his hand, the one that rested upon your palm, and uses it to hold yours reassuringly. "Let's just say that we're doing this for each other."
He loves the way your face lights up with a smile. "That sounds good."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Thanks to Tsireya's efforts, the Sully's had learned the ways of the Metkayina.
They were still different, they were Omatikaya, and they and the Metkayina would always have their differences. However, despite their leaner bodies, they could catch up with you in the water; despite other physical differences like smaller lungs, they could stay underwater almost as long as you. They still preferred bow and arrow over spear and ikran over ilu.
Soon enough, they were good enough at free diving that they were allowed to perform their first Iknimaya trial, catching a small shell thrown into the sea.
Of course, it was the first because it was the easiest, the Metkayina completed it when they were young; but still, it called for a celebration.
Ronal denied a coming of age celebration. It was past the season for it, the tulkuns weren't home yet, and the Metkayina didn't know the Sully's enough for it to have any real sentiment.
It didn't matter to you, though. All they really wanted was a celebration with friends (which Ao'nung so gladly volunteered to not participate in).
You brought them into the sea for the celebration. For once, it wasn't a test of their breathing, speed, or swimming form. It was just exploring, enjoying the water; and they hadn't done that since they tamed their ilu.
As you dove into the sea, Fyìp swam to be near you. It seemed unbothered by the stares of awe he received.
Kiri grinned, signing to you, Fyìp ioang?
Yeah! Call him Fyìp now. You offer it a spot on your palm, which it accepts. You thrust your hand forward to show them all. He warmed up to me, forgave me.
Forgave you? Lo'ak signed. After your arrangement, he'd really gotten good at sign language.
Though the celebration was not meant to be a test, it was a great demonstration of how they were on their way to master sign language.
I believe I told you about the lesson Kiri taught me. I caught Fyìp to show it off to her, and she taught me I shouldn't have done so, even through all my curiosity. You nod at the thought, Wise words.
Kiri tucks a hair behind her ear, It just made sense to me. Not something wise or anything.
Sure. You huff out a laugh, then turn around to swim further in. Fyìp clings onto your shoulder.
The sights were already amazing. The Sully's were no longer limited by depth or obstacles now that they knew the way of water, so now they could see everything the sea had to offer.
You turn back to them again with an offer, You guys wanna see one of my favorite places? Knowing that they'll definitely agree, you turn back around and start leading the way.
It doesn't take long before you are standing before a marvel.
It was a cove of coral, fish, and many more ocean creatures. They were all colorful and eye-catching, but the main attraction was the ilu. It was similar to the Banshee Rookery in the Ayram alusìng.
We don't always tame ilu bred from other ilu at the village. Sometimes, we come here, though rarely. You explain.
These ilu were wilder, more aloof, but they still retained their friendly nature with the Na'vi. So long as you do not anger them, we can hang out with them.
The Sully's were practically let loose around the area. As you already knew much of it, you laid down on a rock at the heart of it and simply watched. Fyìp stuck around you, catching stray fish for dinner.
Kiri easily communicated with the ilu. Even if they were already friendly, they seemed even warmer with her.
Lo'ak managed to find the more playful ilu and had somehow gotten himself into a game of tag. He seemed to be one of the runners. He ducked behind coral, up and around rock arches. He was holding his own, despite the ilu naturally being much faster. Tsireya found herself watching too, and was laughing at Lo'ak's panicked face as he narrowly avoided being caught by an ilu.
As Lo'ak and Kiri both found their own things to do, it seemed Neteyam was stuck with Tuk. But she wasn't a burden to him. What kind of big brother would he be if she was?
He held her by the hand and admired some of the smaller creatures with her, although it seemed as though she had other intentions.
She escaped Neteyam's grasp and began swimming away with vigor. For a moment, Neteyam panicked, rushing after her with alarm. However, he soon relaxed once she saw she was going to you.
She waved hello adorably with a grin then signed. As the youngest, she had a bit more trouble with signing, but you understood her. Why do you like being in the water so much?
Well, it's very serene. You reply.
Neteyam caught up. He seemed interested too. Is that it?
You shrug, Sort of. There's some other reasons, but... You took in Tuk's hopeful eyes. She was far too cute to be denied. I could tell them to you.
Please? Will you? She swims closer, holding onto your wrists so that you may still sign.
Perhaps Tsireya rounded them up; otherwise, you have no idea why, as signing doesn't make sound, but they all round up around you. Even Fyìp swims closer.
It was a bit nerve-wracking, having all those eyes on you, but you had grown close to all of them. Nothing bad would come of it if you told them.
Okay.
Tuk's smile grows wider, she swims away so the others can see you too.
Ever since I was a kid, the ocean was so entrancing. It was majestic, a different world from the one above. The other kids my age, they preferred to play with one another. I preferred to explore the ocean. Even though I was hardly used to the world above, I still preferred exploring underwater.
Tsireya taught you that the sea gives and takes. While it gave me a world to love, it also took my hearing because I was negligent towards my ears. Eventually, the sea was more than just the world I loved. It was also the only place I could be normal.
Lo'ak and Kiri listen more carefully when you mention the word normal. It was something they both struggled with.
Everybody needs to sign to speak. You don't need your ears to listen to them, you only need your eyes; and my eyes, I still have. Underwater, I swim and speak and listen just like everyone else.
Tsireya swims closer, a frown on her face. She holds your elbow endearingly, You are just like everyone else.
Yeah, you are. Neteyam does the same, swimming closer. You are Na'vi.
We are Na'vi. Lo'ak signs.
Though we are all different, we are all Eywa's children. Kiri signs. It doesn't matter in what way we are different, my fingers, our blood, your hearing...
Lo'ak's eyebrows... Neteyam signs. Said eyebrows furrow at the teasing. Lo'ak retaliates by squeezing Neteyam's exposed neck, as his brother always does to him. Neteyam pushes him away.
You guys, you all understand. You smile, I'm so sorry that the Metkayina treat you differently.
Lo'ak shakes his head, If it is something we must teach them, we'll make them learn. He smiles, So long as we have great teachers like you and Tsireya to back us up, right?
You roll your eyes–he thinks it's endearing–at him but nod. We'll teach them that we're all the same.
Tomorrow will be a good day for that. Tsireya signs, Let's not forget we are celebrating your first Iknimaya trial.
Fyìp does an encouraging twirl that makes everyone smile.
To tomorrow. You sign.
♥️♥️
I was thinking on Hawks, Bakugou,Dabi and Kiri
♥️♥️♥️ Thank you
MHA Boys X Reader | Stargazing Date ♥️
Warning: Some Spoilers, You're good if you've seen the latest episodes though. A/N: I know this is probably way too late but I'm trying to balance the new work with the old requests. I hope you like it! <3
Hawks
Tumblr media
It is obvious that this guy will know the best location in the town for stargazing.
I can see him going there by himself when he just wants to quiet his mind from all the thoughts of the hero commission or paparazzi or his work.
The place is not accessible to everyone since it is the highest point of a private building so only he or someone who has a flying quirk can get there.
He always thought that he will keep this place his little secret so that when things are bad, he has one place where he can get away from everyone.
NOW he has you. Naturally, he has the urge to show this place off to you. One day you get a random text from him. "I was wondering if your highness would like to go on a date with a peasant like me?" Obviously, you giggled to yourself and said yes. The fact that even now, he always finds new ways to ask you out makes your heart flutter.
He asked you to meet at your balcony at 6. These dates are the best because you know that he'll fly you both to the date with you in his arms which is one of the best feelings knowing that you are completely safe and happy right now, quite literally flying in the clouds and no one can disturb that.
"Oooh Y/N close your eyes CLOSE YOUR EYES," he said excitingly and you obliged when he asked you to open them, it was one of the prettiest sunsets you have ever seen in your entire life.
Even for him, this was pretty and he fly high every day. You both just sat there for a couple of minutes without saying anything and admiring the view.
You both ended up staying there for the entire night stargazing and had dinner on that rooftop.
His arms were wrapped around you the entire time as your creased his forearms with your hands. You both loved doing this. This was your way of saying "I'm here".
Bakugou
Tumblr media
Bakugo is not the type of guy to plan anything cute because HE HAD the idea. But that doesn't mean that he won't seek them from somewhere else heh.
He and the gang were hanging out when Kaminari was talking about this girl who he is taking out and he was asking for ideas for a date. Everyone was giving ideas as Katsuki was silently taking notes of them and one that struck him the most was Stargazing.
He had his eye on you and knew how much you loved the sky in general. He thought to himself that when or IF he ever took you out on a date it has to be a stargazing one. And he went ahead making scenarios about your date and ignoring others.
And the time has finally come when he is actually taking you out. He knew JUST what to do. He asked you to meet at the dorm's back gate. He took you to the storage building that was at the back and entered through a secret door that you never knew even existed.
It felt so scary to do this because it was UA's property and was off-limits for students but as soon as you two reached the top all the worry washed away. You could see the entire city. UA was on top of a hill and this building was quite high so that gave you an even better view.
You two just talked for hours and THAT is when you realized that Kutsuki can be very gentle when there aren't things or people to trigger him. The entire time he was smiling and laughing with you.
It might sound mushy but you loved seeing him more than the night sky and the lit-up city. His smile was just so bright, gentle, and genuine because he wasn't someone who would do something for the sake of doing it.
So you knew he was happy when he was smiling, the cutest thing was that out of habit he'd take a sip from his water bottle and would pass it over to you too and make sure that you were hydrated too.
When you two came down the building, he gave you his hand everywhere there was a huge step. He knew you were more than capable of taking care of yourself but still couldn't help it.
"Care to explain?" Kaminari said the next day with a smile as he showed you two a picture of you, sitting with your head on his shoulder and hugging his arm closely.
He didn't tell anyone about your date you figured and laughed wholeheartedly when Katsuki was at Kaminari's throat WHILE AT THE SAME time embarrassed and had a slight blush on his face.
"What have you done to him" Kirishima said laughing as he caught Katsuki's blush too.
Dabi
Tumblr media
You both came back from a long mission and wanted to see each other as soon as you can because just being in each other's company was enough for you two to get through the day.
You two were not dating officially because of the uncertain path of life that you both had chosen. You were a rogue hero and he was... well DABI.
You two didn't want to put a label on it but LOVED to spend time together as much as you could. You heard that he was back and he did that too about you. Rooftop was a secret spot for you two since the staircase led only from Dabi's room's balcony. And who'd dare to disturb him?
"Rooftop, whenever you get time." you texted him. You got a reply with a picture of him already there waiting for you.
As you climbed up the stairs you could see him sitting limping and not moving at all. You got worried that he might have hurt himself again but to your relief, it wasn't the case.
As you approached him, busy analyzing if there were any burn marks on his body he hugged you, tightly. This has never happened before. At max, he pats you on your head. But he hugged you and said softly, "Just stay"
You obliged. You two stargazed the entire night and shared your pasts brutally honestly. He told you that he saw Shoto today. He thought that when he will see his brother after so long he MIGHT just feel something. Bits of love would have also been good. But all he felt was hatred.
You were the only one keeping him sane and making him feel SOME feelings.
That explained the hug.
Kiri
Tumblr media
Kiri is a HUGE planner let's be honest. He plans most of the things that you two do. It's not like he likes to have control over things, he just loves to do them for you and absolutely loves to see your reactions.
And most of the time they go as planned buuut this time nothing was going as planned.
He decided this time to go for a sunset date to this park that had one of the best views of all with loads of flowers. Since villain activities have been on a rise recently security has been so tight.
So students don't usually get permission to go out. And he somehow convinced Aizawa to sign the pass for you two.
And the only problem was that nothing went as he intended it to and after so many tried to make the best out of it things were not going well.
By the time you two came back to UA his usual high spirits were so low that you felt bad for him. After you two went back to your rooms you decided to do something for him.
With a little help from the gang, you set up a cute setup on the rooftop. By the time he came out of the shower, you were all done.
"Meet me at the rooftop" you texted him and as soon as he saw it, everyone went back to their rooms wishing you the best of luck.
When he saw the cute mat with the candles lit and the leftover food that you two never got to eat from the earlier plans all lay beautifully. You could see how emotional he was all of a sudden when he hugged you so tightly.
"Sorry I ruined our day," he said nuzzling into your neck as he hugged you.
"Kiri how could you even say that! It is the efforts that matter to me my love" you said taking his face in your hands. You could see how drained he was.
You two had dinner there while watching a movie and stargazing the entire night. You both did all that he planned for and... ahem more.
