Or... what if that scene from the canon had another meaning? One that's more... romantic.

The touches as simple as helping the other into the carriage, being able to lay a hand upon the others back and slightly gripping a hold of their clothes showing that they were protected. Or when the other would fetch the others pipe, handing it over gently with the opportunity to overlap and feel the sting in their yearning fingers. Or when they walked side by side down Baker Street intentionally swinging their palms a bit too far and having their shoulders a bit too cocked for a second of touch to make sure that their blood still pumped their hearts full of the sentiment that many thought was unjust.

(Gorgeously written, not least because Sherlock's wonderful weirdness is described in detail, rather than left as a tag/label. For others, the diagnoses don't feel like something that defines their roles in the plotline, but rather like another set of character traits. Did I mention the beautiful fanart in chapters 1 & 15?)

While Sherlock’s recovering from being shot, John has to work out what the hell happened. Why did Mary turn up in his clinic in the first place? Why is Sherlock lying about her “surgical” shot? Why is Mycroft protecting Magnussen? For that matter, what's to be done about Magnussen? Since John can’t trust any of them to tell him the truth, he’ll have to play them all against each other.

WHAT THE FUCK

here's my little thing on good omens two (i just finished it less than a minute ago)

i write my reactions to stuff but it won't make sense bc i didn't write what was going on just like. what i thought. SPOILERS BTW

GREAT SHOW like amazing like fuck

i was actually sobbing at the end there

um. let's go by episode (photos of thoughts at the bottom)

[chapter one: the arrival] LOVELY opening like the entire scene was so cool and the lighting was incredible and it reminded me of the song meteor shower (cavetown) ((yeah i'll be making an animatic what about it)) also THE WING PARALLEL IVE ALREADY MADE A POST ABOUT IT BUT LIKE. OMG??? the intro happens and that is so so cool i was ENTRANCED and side note, when it's raining hearts (love that btw) the star cluster behind the makes a silhouette of a person (gabriel?) but idk if i'm just looking too much,, lmao. ok so present day we meet maggie and nina and i love them so much and they are very cute together. also ducks. also hi gabriel. also hi shax. the queen in the background of the coffee shop was very neat. i need to learn the i was wrong dance. OVERALL super cool episode and i loved it

[chapter two: the clue] loving the beard it's a moment, again this entire show is a masterpiece like the lighting and the everything is so interesting. we hear everyday (great song) and also crowley not killing the children but turning them into lizards is the most crowley thing i would expect of him tbh. i loved it. also by 2500 B.C. he said the angel pet name and i was living for it !! also YES aziraphale and crowley playing matchmaker is so fun. Job was great tbh. also zira lying to a room full of angels was amazing,, also the way zira was like 'it's our car' SHUT UPPP i love him so much it's so cute 💔💔 then also i think i saw the good omens book at one point maybe. THE OUTRO SLAYS AS PER USUAL.

[chapter three: i know where i'm going] I LOVE JIMS MUG (i want to make one) also,, muriel is probably my favorite side character in this season, I HATE LINDSAY (who doesn't) also the gabriel statue is so funny 2 me.. the whole crowley poisoning himself was great i'm assuming demons get like,, drunk on poison ig. not many notes on this episode tbh, great one tho

[chapter four: the hitchhiker] ok first off I LOVE MOONLIGHT SERENADE great song,, hi shax,, back to the nazi church i guess. mycroft holmes is a zombie now. nothing i can do,, also ZIRA CALLED THEM FRIENDS AW,, also i was SO SCARED at the magic show and crowley was shaking so badly omg T-T THE MIRRORS that was a great scene and i called the photo switch hehe. also ritz parallel at some point. lovely episode, again not much notes

[chapter five: the ball] this episode was so so fun i loved the dancing and the shenanigans also SHAX WHO NEEDS TEN THOUSAND DEMONS TO STORM A BOOK SHOP cmon,, also i thought nina would try and get crowley and zira together (im a master of predictions) also yeah lovely little scenes and OUT THE WINDOW you go gabriel. I LOVE YOU MURIEL also wait and seeeeeee,, the bookshop-turned-ballroom was beautiful tbh (don't think i missed those stares thru the window anthony janthony crowley) the demons showing up was so so cool, INEFFABLE HUSBANDS DANCING??? EE!! also t-o-s-t-e is great,, so is gabriel's coat omg,, NOW CROWLEY IS GOING TO HEAVEN?? lovely lovely episode

[chapter six: every day] SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP the love in this episode is RADIANT and girl,, i can't handle it. also MAGGIE i know you didn't think but cmon,,, also CROWLEY AS AN ANGEL WITH THE GOLDEN SNAKE WAS SO FUN,, the intro was so cool and the guitar was so queen-sounding idk how to put it. the halo was. SO COOL. also i called it gabriel FELL RAHHHHHHH i'm so great. shax you did NOT body shame zira bro. you did NOT. the trial was so interesting btw,, it was such a cool scene. bye bye demons! then zira starts a war?? unexpected. beez and gabe are SO CUTE TOGETHER i love them??? with all my heart?? they have a song. THEY HAVE A SONG. also the little dinner date parallels with zira and crowley to beez and gabe i was so happy. also THEY HELP HANDS OMGGGG ! alpha centauri reference was so sweet tbh. [a line from my notes: zira you're looking at crowley like he put the stars in the sky (he did but yk)] also nina and maggie talking to crowley was so sweet they gave him the push he needed 😭😭 also SHUT UP NINA CALLED MAGGIE ANGEL I WAS GONNA SOB and then crowley tried to confess and then aziraphale said the thing about them becoming angels and at that point i was already crying a little bit. i was so devastated when crowley mentioned the nightingales. started crying more. YHEN THEY KISSED I WAS FULL ON SOBBING AT THAT POINT FORWARD i was shaking so hard i thought i would die on the spot. then i got mad at zira for NOT GOING BACK FOR CROWLEY SHUT THE FUCK UP and the nightingale song biiiitch,, then it ended

now i'm very numb and will be spending the weekend going thru episodes and taking photos of cool things I CANNOT WAIT FOR SEASON THREE

As much as he hated to admit it, the compliment was nice. It would be very easy to let his guard down and pretend that the moment was as simple as it was for the average man on the street. Of course, he was not about to do such a thing. Call it self-protection or self-sabotage, Mycroft was not a man that easily allowed himself to partake in anything that resembled a personal life.

"Humans are tedious." It was a statement made with the full knowledge that it was at least somewhat obnoxious. However, it was also an honest statement, and so he saw little reason to hold it back. If they were to see more of each other, then Isaac needed to be aware of his misanthropic tendencies, no?

"There are so few individuals who are capable of holding a decent conversation. The world is so slow. Most of the time, I feel as though I am talking to a child - or worse, one of those pet dogs that clearly have no thoughts behind their eyes. I don't put much stock into the general human experience."

Hm. Maybe he was edging into being rude now, though? That wouldn't do - not when he seemed to actually be getting along with the other man, and certainly not when there was a high possibility that word of his actions may find their back to Fish. She would be terribly disappointed if her matchmaking efforts had been ruined by something as preventable as rudeness, especially considering her aversion to such a thing.

"Not that this conversation is lacking in stimulation for me," Mycroft swiftly added to cover his mistake. "All things considered, you're doing rather well."

Mycroft Holmes was visibly oblivious to the fact that seeing one's friend was hardly a hobby, but Isaac did not comment on it, instead nodding politely while he talked about the hassle of traveling. Admittedly, Isaac was not a fan of humans' modes of transportation either. Trains were slow, planes were rudimentary, and cars were annoying. He much preferred his ship, which was efficient and fast.

The shift from childhood memories to Fish Lecter's boyfriend did not go unnoticed. Was he jealous? It was to be expected, of course. If so much of his world revolved around his friend, then how could he accept that she suddenly shared her time with someone else?

"If it is a distraction, then I must say it is a pleasant one," he hummed with a charming smile. As for the duration of said distraction, well that depended on them now, didn't it?

"If you two are very close, she probably cannot help but wish for the both of you to experience the same stages in life. This is her first serious relationship, maybe she just wants for you to be in a serious relationship too. Humans like to relate to one another, especially when emotional bonds are involved."

I sometimes amuse myself with thinking Tom was a Sherlock "body double" that Mycroft had on a list and who he just dressed up appropriately and sneakily inserted into Molly's circle of friends. The objective would have been to help her move on from Sherlock post Reichenbach and make her less lonely and prone to reveal secrets. Also to keep an eye on her. The problem was he underestimated and misunderstood her and thought the visual attraction was key rather than the intellect. And Molly settled because she really was desperate to move on.

Likewise it would be fun if Mycroft helped Mary move on after A.G.R.A and facilitated the new identity and he decided to set her up with John since he knew she had become a nurse and had the right dangerous appeal to him. Them working together in TAB makes me think it's not entirely far fetched? Maybe the reason he knew about John's dinner reservation without looking it up in TEH was because she kept him updated.

Also, this is probably pushing it, but if Mycroft and Mary worked together and Charles Augustus Magnussen both knew about Mary's past (the threat at the wedding) AND "Redbeard"... maybe Mycroft wanted Sherlock to stay away from the case not only for fear of "Redbeard" being revealed to him but because Mary was already working on it? Sherlock did get in the way of whatever she was trying to do.

Hm. Clearly he wasn't going to be able to avoid this as easily as he would have hoped. That was somewhat unsurprising. Fish had always been stubborn. It was the first time that their stubborn natures had clashed, and Mycoft very much doubted it would be the last.

Still, the promise that she would cease her attempts of playing matchmaker if her 'perfect date' didn't work out was a tempting one. In fact, it was almost too good to be true! Mycroft found himself sceptical of his friend's adherence to such a promise, but... Well, it would be worth the chance, would it not? Especially when she was unlikely to drop the ridiculous idea if he continued to turn it down.

"Fine," Mycroft said, ensuring his tone of voice made it very clear that his agreement was begrudging. "Organise it for me and I will meet this man - but you must promise not to complain when it does not work out and I refuse to see him again. I am only doing this to stop you from nagging me about my lack of a love life."

Fish rolled her eyes. "He's your kind of really smart, Mycroft," she specified. There was no need to point out that what he had said was rude because it would only lead to him saying that he was correct anyway. End right now, she was trying to play matchmaker!

"Seriously, Mycroft?" she raised her eyebrows, almost mockingly. "You'll be able to tell if he has any red flags with one glance. You're just trying to find reasons to not go on a date with him!" She knew her best friend enough to know that he could easily read people.

"And anyway, even if he lived in the UK he could do that, distance doesn't make that much of a difference when it comes to red flags! Him living here is actually perfect for you, and you know it. You're always busy working, and you want something discreet. Well, he's always working too."

She raised her hands in the air. "Look, you can go, and if you think he's not for you, I won't try to fix you up with someone ever again. That's how sure of myself I am!"

Hi Lovely!

Ahhh, not SPECIFICALLY "only one bed" but I do have a LOT of "Bed sharing" fics where the majority of them are "victims of circumstances" so in turn Share A Bed, LOL. And because I need a list for today, I'm using your list to put out the next part that doesn't have much but I did go through my MFL list to pad it out a bit. For those, I whittled down that section to fics specifically tagged with "one bed" LOL, so check that section out to get more closer to what you're looking for.

If anyone has some fics to share that are SPECIFICALLY One Bed, please do!!!! One of these days I will properly sit down and go through all my bookmarks, and then I'll filter those out from these lists.
