I need help asap! So it’s exam season we all know and I keep on asking my teachers for a list of what I need for the test like a list to go home and study and they said no like what is their problem and I have no idea what to do😭please help Mindy not to sound desperate but your like my idol so you would know what to do right 😭
✧˖° my guide to studying when your teacher won’t give you a study guide
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi honey, i love you sooo much <3 thank you for your sweet wordsss, i'm alwaysss, alwaysss here for you, feel free to message me personally or give me more asks in my tumblr inbox! i'll even help with specific subjects.
okay, angel. first of all, i hear you. the frustration is real. teachers saying "just study everything :)" like we don’t have other classes, responsibilities, and, i don’t know, lives?? but listen. this is not a dead end. this is just an opportunity to prove that you can outsmart the system and study better than they ever expected. you’re not desperate, you’re strategic. and i have a plan for you.
step 1: reverse-engineer the test ✧˖°
if they won’t tell you, we’ll figure it out ourselves. here’s how:
➼ look at past tests & quizzes: what kind of questions do they ask? multiple choice? short answer? do they repeat topics? most teachers have a pattern. find it. ➼ scan your syllabus: even if it’s vague, the syllabus outlines what the class prioritizes. highlight major units or chapters. ➼ revisit homework & classwork: if they spent three days drilling a topic, assume it’s important. if a concept was barely mentioned, it’s probably not a focus. ➼ check online study guides: sometimes other students post study guides for similar classes online. search your course name + study guide. you might get lucky.
step 2: ask strategic questions ✧˖°
okay, so they won’t give you a study guide. but what if they accidentally reveal what’s on the test through very calculated questions?
instead of "what’s on the test?", try: ➼ "Would you say Unit 3 is as important as Unit 4?" (forces them to compare importance) ➼ "Should I focus more on definitions or application-based questions?" (gives insight into question type) ➼ "Would it be smart to review [insert topic] in detail?" (watch their reaction, they might hint at its relevance) ➼ "Is there anything I should specifically know how to apply?" (if they hesitate, it’s probably a big exam topic)
play it cool. teachers love acting like they’re withholding top-secret info, but they also love hearing themselves talk. guide the conversation and let them give things away.
step 3: crowdsource the study guide ✧˖°
if your teacher won’t make one, you will!! but you won’t do it alone.
➼ group chat strategy: text your smartest classmates and propose making a study doc together. ➼ class notes audit: everyone checks their notes for key topics they remember being emphasized. ➼ compare tests from other classes: if another teacher teaches the same course, their students might have hints.
you’re basically forming an underground academic intelligence network. the government should honestly hire you.
step 4: predict the questions ✧˖°
teachers aren’t as unpredictable as they think. most reuse question styles from past years. so let’s outthink them.
➼ scan the textbook’s review questions – many teachers pull questions straight from these. ➼ turn subheadings into questions – if a textbook section is called “Causes of the French Revolution,” turn it into: “What were the causes of the French Revolution?”➼ spot repeated terms – if a word/concept appears in your notes/textbook over and over, bet money it’s on the test.
step 5: prioritize the 80/20 rule ✧˖°
80% of the test will come from 20% of the material. instead of trying to memorize everything, (i'm guilty of this) target the most testable topics.
➼ concepts that connect to multiple lessons = high priority ➼ big themes or formulas your teacher emphasized = high priority ➼ random minor details with no context = low priority
this is how you actutallyyyy study smarter, not harder.
step 6: try active recall ✧˖°
highlighting? rereading? sweetie, no. your brain needs active studying. i know you've probably heard this in every 'study' video, blog, article etc, etc.. however, this really works. even when i create my own study methods it all connects to active recall <3
➼ flashcards, but reverse: instead of term → definition, write the definition and force yourself to recall the term. ➼ blurting technique: grab a blank sheet and dump everything you remember. then check what you missed. ➼ teach it to an imaginary class: if you can explain it, you actually understand it.
these methods force your brain to retrieve info, which is the key to remembering it under stress.
step 7: adapt your study style to the test format ✧˖°
different tests require different study techniques.
➼ multiple choice: focus on eliminating wrong answers. make “why is this wrong?” your key question. ➼ short answer: practice summarizing concepts in 1-2 sentences! brevity matters. ➼ essay tests: prep key arguments and supporting facts in advance. don’t memorize full essays. memorize structured points.
step 8: last-minute study hacks ✧˖°
running out of time? try these:
➼ listen to a recording of key concepts before bed, your brain absorbs info in your sleep. ➼ write down the toughest concepts before the test. dumping info on a paper beforehand eases recall under pressure. ➼ do a “cheat sheet” exercise. write what you would bring as a cheat sheet (but don’t actually bring it). the act of writing it out solidifies memory.
🖇 mindy’s personal tips ✧˖°
✨ don’t panic. adapt. undetermined students say, “i can’t.” A+ students say, “how can i?” you are an A+ student.✨ treat it like a game. teachers want to gatekeep? fine. you’ll outsmart them instead. ✨ trust your brain. if you’ve prepped strategically, you will recall what you need. confidence is half the battle.
📝 homework: apply these NOW ✧˖°
i loveeee giving you all homework! i made a little checklist for you to start right now <3
☐ start a study guide (even if it’s just bullet points) ☐ test out the “strategic question” technique with your teacher ☐ identify three high-priority topics to focus on tonight ☐ practice active recall (explain a concept to yourself out loud) ☐ reply below or message me: what’s your biggest exam struggle?
final note: you are not helpless. you are not at the mercy of your teacher’s vague instructions. you are capable, smart, and strategic. you’ve got this. and i’ve got you. i know you will do well on your exams, just belive in yourself and all that matters is if you pass, you don't need a 100/100 on your exam to be an A+ student. just trust yourself <3
💌 now go ace that test! <3 ilyy
xoxo mindy

AITA for lying to my friend about his skill in a class?
⚙️
^ so I can find it
I (20F) go to a very prestigious and difficult engineering school. My best friend (20M) is in all the same classes that I am (our major has 130+ credit requirements for a degree so we don't have much academic freedom, we're all running through this gauntlet together lol). I'm not gonna sugarcoat it: I perform better in our classes than he does. I am not smarter than he is, but he has test anxiety while testing for me sends an adrenaline rush to my brain and makes me solve problems faster, better. I also pick up concepts faster, and do not have an issue with not being able to focus when I must, while he does.
Last semester was rough, but we and our other friends grit our teeth, helped each other, and we made it through an impossible class together. He also made it, but with a very discouraging grade, especially given that he was thinking this is what he really liked before taking that final exam. This semester, however, has turned out to be a whole new ballgame. I calculated 15 hours of homework due over a span of two days to complete it all. We don't get a fucking break, and with this pace we're all just trying to survive and remind each other not to skip meals and to go to sleep at a semi-acceptable time.
My friend is taking it really hard, and really struggling to keep up. He's having bad week after bad week and confided in me two weeks ago that he feels useless, that everyone else understands things and when we all work together he has nothing to contribute because he's weighing everyone down, needing to be taught things again and again.
It kind of happened naturally just this week that the last homework set I hadn't had time to complete was due in an hour, and I sent a message in our group chat about it. He offered to help me - he said he understood it.
Here is where I lied: I told him didn't understand any of it, and took him up on his offer to help.
I do understand this class. I don't like the material, but I do understand it, but I'm lying to him and pretending now like I really don't so he'll help me.
I am not doing this because I want free work. The way our group functions, we all "leech" off each other and share completed problem sets the moment they're done to help each other, and I do my fair share of solving problems first and sending them to the others to help them, too. I am doing this because I feel like he needs a confidence boost to get through this semester. If he feels like his work is valued and needed, I really think that will help give him the motivation to continue.
I feel really gross about it, because it's a lie. Confidence taken from a fake situation. But I only want to help him, and right now, he has academic support everywhere. It's the mental self-worth I think he needs.
AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Some reflections on education
I have been a teacher, not as a source of employment but out of a genuine interest of sharing my knowledge. Resultantly, I have taught many children, ages 9-14 (sometimes even toddlers) the subjects of mathematics, english and important stuff they need to know as they were growing up.
Now much of these kids were not from well to do families, meaning thereby, that they lived beside railway tracks with less or no access to toilets, with generational poverty that caused many of them to grow up in an enviornment that lacked privacy and security. I can nonetheless proudly assert that I have been directly responsible for the education of over 40 children and the literacy program, carried out by me and some friends is responsible for the literacy of the slum. I believe my learnings in the field of being a teacher are something that can be useful if you are a teacher, or even a parent or a friend tasked with teaching, or someone who wants to teach themselves something.
Lesson 1. Homework holds back the quality of education
Homework is the first thing that causes inequality in a country. Many kids have good parents, who can afford them tuitions or help them solve simple mathematics problems or write for them an essay. My children, did not have that privilege. They had to work full time jobs in shops doing manual labor, after which they cannot be expected to do anything worthwhile. The challenge for me first hand was to teach these kids mathematics english and hindi such that they could be admitted into a government school in a grade they did not feel was below their age group. This had to be accomplished in 40 hours. Now 40 hours is a long enough time if you think about it, if you expect the students to work out the material.
I would make the class so exciting that they would think about it when they were gone to do their daily chores. I would ask them to spot 5 square numbers throughout their day. They would tell me addresses, would write them down and bring them to me. I would ask them to not study but to play. Children should play, it is important for development. I would buy them cereals and make them read the labels. One of my students, got so good at calculating squares that she overtook me. I would show these children why studying what they are studying is useful. I was studying electrical engineering, so the children would often inquire about trains, and shoot questions of all sorts at me. I would answer all of them. Result of this education as a way of life resulted in many of them not only going to school but doing well enough that their parents got educational confidence
Lesson 2: Children should be respected
I would often ask children for their opinions on matters. Often they would include my efforts to talk to the government officials. The children were intelligent, they would become my friends and learn to engage in dialogue, process emotions, even insults. I can say shouting “silence!” in the class is not the way to go. Children form a group in school, where they outnumber the adults and try to challenge authority. This trait needs to be channelised, not discouraged. The classroom is the first place where socialisation begins.
Lesson 3: Explain yourself
You are older. I get it. But explain yourself. Why do you think something is important. Why did you say a certain thing. Explain. Children are human beings, treat them as such.
Lesson 4: Curiosity should be the most important result of primary education.
If you are a teacher and the children end up not understanding the aesthetic value of your subject but hating it, then you are at fault. It is YOUR JOB as a teacher.
I think that these four lessons are abundantly obvious, however, I took my time to type it out insofar teachers parents and activists can reflect upon them.

Hey Ai!!!! Remember I told u that Caleb was at the second spot in my list? Well guess what? There are three men now occupying the top spot of my heart. I can’t even explain it cause Satoru’s the loml and will always be, that’s not gonna change.
Then Sylus is so mafia husband/soulmate material like he’s the type to find u in every lifetime and fall in love with u in every single one of them 😫 Whenever I go see him, I’m like “That’s my mafia husband, m the father of my child, the one i’m gonna spend every waking moment next to. He’s gonna beat the shit out of you and I’ll go wipe the blood off his hands and kiss him afterwards”
Then there’s Caleb.....For me personally, he brings back those high school/young puppy love (Yk his version before he supposedly “died” from explosion and had a 180 degree change in attitude) because I imagine him taking me to school and picking me up after (he’s always gonna wait for me even though he has practice), writing love notes on my post its then placing them all over my dorm room, teaching me physics and helping me with my homework whenever i’m struggling with it (he’s a consistent dean’s lister and academic achiever), winking and pointing at me whenever he scores a three pointer in his basketball games (he’s the mvp ofc) then still making time to see me during class breaks no matter how far he’s building is from mine (he’s an aerospace engineering student, i am a business related student) and finally cooking for me during exams seasons cause he knows how stressed I am during those period, even though he’s swamped with his own work. It’s just these cute, young, and high school type of love that’s just so innocent and pure like we’re known as the sweethearts of the school that kind of sweet couple that everyone envies because they also want that young, innocent, and sweet love 😫😫😫😫 it’s just those random things that he does that reminds me of his love!!
-🦉
hello beloved 🤍 and sorry for the late reply! 🤧
okay first off — may satoru always be the biggest love of your life bc that precious man deserves to have a permanent residency in your heart, rent-free throne built and everything. no one should be dethroning him!! he’s the blueprint. the original. the standard. the love that all other loves are measured against 🥹
but now onto the other loves jakajksjs
oh sylus 😩 he will find you and love you in every lifetime !! and there’s something so beautiful about the big bad boss of the N109 zone being soft for just one person and one person alone. like?? he’s out here being everyone’s worst nightmare and he could literally destroy everything left and right but he chooses to melt into your hands instead bc you are his safe space 🥹 lets his guard down so easily around you because he wants to be loved by you so bad MY HEARTTTT
and now i’m weak in the knees bc the way you talk about caleb 😩 like STOP that kind of love that innocent school-sweetheart energy is so unmatched !! he’s literally first love that turns into forever type of boy and i’m so unwell about it 🥹

SETTING THE FUTURE OF COOL INTERIOR DESIGN
Electric power-trains are reshaping what car makers can do with automotive interiors. EV's give designers complete freedom to re-imagine the cabin experience, unlike traditional vehicles limited by bulky engines and transmission tunnels.
How Electric Vehicles Are Changing Car Interior Style
EV architecture offers key advantages for interior design. Native EV's can optimize battery packaging in a simple, rectangular shape at the vehicle's floor. This creates flat cabin layouts that add up to 10% more interior space compared to traditional vehicles with the same wheelbase. Designers can now create innovations that were impossible in conventional cars.
EV manufacturers now lean toward minimalism and spatial efficiency. Tesla led this shift with sleek, button-free cabins that feature a single large central screen. Other manufacturers across the industry have adopted this design philosophy. This less-is-more esthetic aligns with changing buyer priorities, as user experience ranks among the top factors for EV buyers.
Modern EV interiors now feel more like versatile, homelike spaces. They feature "living room" style seating, automatic climate control systems, and flexible configurations. The Chrysler Synthesis Cockpit concept at CES showcases this trend with its 37.2-inch infotainment screen and AI assistant. Hyundai's IONIQ Concept Cabin takes it further with seats that swivel to face passengers toward each other for better social interaction.
Sustainability has become the lifeline of modern EV interior design. More manufacturers use recycled, upcycled, and bio-based materials. The Kia Concept EV2 shows this approach with liquid-formed textiles that eliminate waste through a no-weave process. It also features mycelium-based components with excellent insulation properties and AmpliTex™—a bio-based composite from flax fibers that cuts weight while maintaining strength.
Smart cockpit technology sets modern EV's apart with integrated human-machine interfaces and connectivity. These systems create individual-specific experiences through sensors, cameras, and biometric technologies that adjust settings based on user priorities. The future integration of augmented reality heads-up displays (AR-HUDs) will project navigation and hazard warnings onto windshields. This helps drivers makes a wise decision while keeping their eyes on the road.
WHY CHOOSING THE RIGHT TRANSPORTER MATTERS
Transporting luxury interiors requires attention to detail at every stage. The goal is to deliver your luxury car safely and gets to the new location in perfect condition. It’s about trust, skill, and doing a proper research. This careful and smart approach makes sure every detail of a luxury car’s interior looks perfect, no matter the distance.
When professionals handle luxurious vehicles, car owners can relax knowing their prized possessions are in safe hands. It’s a level of service that combines experience with passion for quality.
Take the time to find the right nationwide car transportation services and drive your luxury car with confidence. Your car deserves the best, so choose wisely before moving it.

cress thoughts and reactions
this was originally gonna be just one post for the first 7ish chapters but i have SO many thoughts as i tend to at the start of books, compared to the end where i want to race through the action and not write down every reaction, so i ended up having to split this in two. basically what i was reading during class time at school (no one tell my teachers) and then what i read when i got home to procrastinate homework lmao
HOLY SHIT SHE'S ALREADY MEETING THE GANG WHAT i thought it would take AT LEAST 5 more chapters
FSKDFSDKUHCNS she is so delulu and obsessed with thorne it's giving me second hand embarrassment i LOVE it. girlypop thinks she's in a romance novel thinking he's gonna have instalove
"Is that all hair?" coming from mr flirts with everything that moves, that's HILARIOUS. REJECTION. poor cress but unfortunately i find her misery hilarious
damn thorne is NOT holding back in his description of her hair LMAO. he fucking killed her no mercy. NOW i feel bad
"wing nut" scarlet tf kind of insult IS THAT. still love it. this is being integrated into my vocab as we speak
cress is hiding under a desk she's so socially awkward (just like me fr)
personally just from where we're starting i actually hope that it's just a silly schoolgirl crush that cress gets over and she gets to have real experiences, meet a whole bunch of people, and that she ends up being friends with thorne. it would be nice to not have romance as the answer for EVERY single character
i already have ALL the respect and admiration for priya. i need to stop getting attached to random side characters but i can't help loving her already. she was introduced spectacularly well
"Restraining a melodramatic sigh (…) He knew he was being childish" no actually?? kai is being entirely reasonable here. he's literally about to be in a child marriage and gonna be assassinated and his dad is dead and he's handing his country over and then there is gonna be a world war. he has every right to be upset
if no one knows who cinder's father is then we're DEFO gonna get a reveal. especially because we already know the lunars are non monogamous then it could be ANYONE
again i LOVE the dramatic irony of kai thinking cinder's trying to find princess selene. i mean i guess in a sense that WAS what cinder was trying to do
OMG ERLAND CHAPTER. I RECKON WE'VE GOT A REVEAL INCOMING (note: i was right and i'm a genius)
"ballyhoo" ERLAND I LOVE YOU. silly old man
I FUCKING KNEW IT THAT CRESS WAS ERLAND'S DAUGHTER - but WHY was she kept alive without his knowledge?? i don't need sleep i need ANSWERS
also makes sense that erland was behind the wolf genetic engineering thing which also links him to wolf
love the detail of erland glamouring himself to be taller. so real
SYBIL'S CHEEKBONES MADE OUT OF PIPES FKSHFSDKH all of erland's inner monologue is literally so humorous. slayed
but is letumosis mutating?? or have levana's people started engineering it for biological warfare to make kai more likely to go forward with the marriage in want of a cure?? usually i'd agree that the disease can mutate but the timing is just extremely suspicious, cause otherwise the best thing in writing would have been for peony to catch the mutated strain to give higher stakes to cinder
the opera singing shower scene - cress is such a DRAMA QUEEN and i LOVE her
i'll say this once and i'll say it again: scarlet is such a girls girl. looking out for poor cress and they haven't even met in person yet + she doesn't even know if it's a trap. i adore scarlet
knowing what i know about thorne now part of me reckons that the big softie just wants to use the reward money for philanthropy
iko is a ~material girl~
"young, semi-cute ones" remembering that thorne is 20, HOW old is cress. uh oh. ew. remembering cinder's age makes it a double uh oh since she and cress should be about the same age. disappointed because the rest of their interactions were totally chill and he didn't seem to have any real interest
i love how thorne is completely unable to take sybil seriously but also i'm freaking out like he's so unprepared cause he thinks the others are coming to help. he's fucked
holy shit the sat is crashing. talk about thorne "falling out of the tower" when he tried to rescue the princess
I LOVE THAT SCARLET WAS WATCHING HIM DOCK JUST LIKE HE WISHED FSKHFSDHK
wolf is an idiot WHY would he come down istg if he gets controlled i'm gonna smash my head in (note: he got controlled. since i need my braincells for homework i will make a raincheck on smashing my head in)

Please infodump at me about dyslexia and its assorted related disorders.
Okay, so right off the bat, a disclaimer: I personally am not dyslexic. I do have ADHD, but I haven't personally struggled with dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.
My partner (M, 30) was diagnosed young, like pre-k or kindergarten. Writing his name was a huge struggle and he often spelled it in a way that looked like a different name. His mother also has dyslexia and was able to get him help via Special Education programs, which he DESPISED.
Eventually even with help, he was barely able to finish homework and began to refuse to do it. Teachers at his school were very cruel to him, often calling him stupid, lazy, "not applying himself", etc.
Physical activities came naturally to him. He excelled in art, woodshop, ceramics, and karate. Reading anything, for class or for fun, stopped and when he had to read aloud, was humiliating. Teachers sometimes forced him to read aloud more often, hoping to humble him into working harder. When his grades declined sharply, he stopped trying all together and ended up falling into using drugs and alcohol at only 11 years old. When he finally graduated high school, it was by the skin of his teeth and really only was pushed through because of a flaw with the schools budget, which he then blackmailed the school with. Not really his proudest moment, but it happened. Obviously, the majority of his issues came from the school system failing him. Teachers were ill-prepared to deal with his learning disability, or outright vicious, basically weaponized incompetence.
When we met, I was in school for Early Childhood Education (which I didn't end up completing, teaching has rather lost its luster for me) and I noticed how embarrassed he was when attempting to sign his name or write pretty much anything. I asked if he'd be willing to let me help him practice, and eventually, he did.
As a 23 year old, re-learning how to write was really embarrassing for him, but I was patient and didn't criticize. I helped him find a place where he could laugh at himself and his spelling mistakes, not feel shame in it. We literally got a handwriting book from the dollar tree, and I dotted together the alphabet so he could trace it over and over. He still won't be doing calligraphy anytime soon, but his writing is legible now, and that's what matters.
He's failed out of a lot of college programs. He ends up taking on too much and is put on probation, then on academic suspension. He then appeals it, and the cycle starts again. His latest run is the most successful; CNC Engineering. He works with his hands and with computer programs. One of the things that has helped so much is having a study partner. He really struggles with reading comprehension, and when the letters constantly seem to move or change, it's even harder. When he has chapters to read for class, he will often have me read with him or sometimes to him, so he can visualize the material instead of concentrating so hard on what each word means.
He's also started reading for fun, which is a HUGE step for him. He loves Star Wars, and I had a set of junior novels about Anakin Skywalker as a padawan, which I offered to him. They're short, less condensed than a regular novel, and align with his interests, so it made for a much more enjoyable experience. He reads every night before bed now!
Generally, something like an IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) will be figured out for grade/high school, but when you are in college, that no longer applies. However, most colleges will have a department that can help with accommodations needed for classes. This can include an array of options, from tutoring and extensions to large-print textbooks or audio-visual adaptive equipment.
Side note to wrap this up, people often shit all over Comic Sans as a font, but the stylization actually can make it much easier for people with dyslexia to absorb! I encourage my partner to use comic sans when writing a paper, so he can find mistakes easier and then selecting a new font when he's finished.
Basically, patience and encouragement is key.

what do you take notes on? which laptop, which writing pad and allat.
Also, don't you prefer raw handwritten notes over digital notes?
hi !! I kind of take notes on everything and my preference really depends on what the notes are being used for and where/when I’m writing them.
For digital notes, i use an iPad w/ the pencil on two separate apps: Goodnotes 5 and Microsoft One Note. I like using One Note for lecture notes because the infinite whiteboard-esque space helps me take notes faster, and I use Goodnotes for any homework assignments I can turn in online. This is my usual set up for days when I’m on campus because I commute and the lighter bag makes everything easier.
The laptop that I’m using now is a Lenovo Yoga 720, and it seems like it’s handling the software required for my engineering classes fine. I actually just got it not even a month ago as a gift from a relative who just graduated college, so I’m not too familiar with it yet, but it’s been working great so far! Notes-wise, I take notes for my programming and physics classes on notion. I usually take my physics notes on my iPad, but I’ve been strapped for time recently and it’s quicker to type them out rn than to write them. To insert equations from the book, I use the chrome extension Equatio, which allows me to capture the equations from my textbook and copy the LaTeX formatting quick.
I do hand write my notes on paper sometimes, but only for specific subjects or circumstances. When I’m not in a hurry and want to focus on really understanding the material well, like slightly before midterm or finals season, I’ll take paper notes for my stem classes. I also mainly use paper notes for my humanities courses because I do prefer the feeling of paper and I’m not usually rushing to get those notes done, but I don’t have any humanities courses this semester :[
So yeah sorry for the long wall of yap 😭😭 TLDR I like the feeling and structure of paper notes more but the convenience of quicker notes, easy graphs/diagrams, and the lasso tool has won me over in this busier-than-normal semester 😵‍💫

hihi ash! wanted to pop in n say that i wanna interact with u more ahhh!! i too am procrastinating on hw rn LOL but i saw that u are doing a lil ship game ^^ my major is materials science and engineering hehe
OMG ASHLEE stop I think I have a crush on you and you’re wanting to interact with me?! 😳 im so shy sometimes but hiiii bby <3
okokok getting very heavy yeonjun vibes. I feel like he’d be the one to try and keep you company while you study / do homework. maybe try and help? (maybe not always the most help. pls he’s doing his best 😭) always is amazed and tells you constantly how smart you are. hypes you up before a test but sometimes you literally have to kick him out of the room because he’s too distracting.
bonus ship: also feeling kai. would read over your notes and quiz you to help you study. (I personally hate this method but kai would be so sweet im crying) bring you all kinds of study snacks and let you sleep with his cuddliest plushies the night before a big test

hiii i noticed in one of your posts you mentioned that you were premed and i wanted to ask you for some advice!! im an incoming premed freshman (majoring in biochem but im debating on switching to neuro) and im kinda nervous lol. do you have any tips on how to stay on top of things and balance classes with clinical work and research? thank u <3
omg omg omg IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY ok so i have a ton of advice but i'll try to be brief
1) im putting this paragraph first because this is the most important advice i can give you. like seriously if you listen to nothing else listen to this:
you can't know everything
this isn't high school where you just have to memorize where the 50 states are on a map. this is college where you have to know the entire krebs cycle after it's only been explained once and that's like only 10% of the info on the exam. so the best thing you can do for yourself is accept when you've hit a plateau and move onto something else. for example, say you've got a bio exam and a psych exam coming up. it takes you 20 hours of genuine study time to master 93% of the the material in bio. it would take another 20 for you to get to 95%. but with that other 20 hours, you could master 96% of the material for psych. your brain wants to say "well i'll just spend 60 hours studying then" but believe me i know from experience that you can't do that without serious harm to you mental and physical health. it's so so SO much better to study the 40 hours and accept a 93 on bio and a 96 in psych. and then you can use the extra 20 to get more sleep, hang out with friends, volunteer, work in a research lab, or he'll study for another subject. you will love college and being a premed so much more if you do that
2) im a neuro major so ur an anon after my own heart. idk what the major is like at ur school but at mine it's really flexible and has a lot of cool opportunities attached to it so i would definitely reccomend it. the cool thing is tho you're just starting out so, provided you don't have to swap to a different school (engineering, arts and sciences, etc.), then you can definitely take time to figure out what you want. i came into college wanting to do neuro and bio double, switched to a single major in a completely different area, and then added on a neuro major recently so the most important thing at this point is to keep your options open
3) time management depends a lot on the school you attend. i attend a fairly good university, so i spend a shit ton of time studying and don't have as much time left over for volunteering/research. luckily med schools generally account for that stuff, so just keep that in mind if you're getting a little bit of imposter syndrome. anyway, the best advice i can give you right now is to just get involved. don't assume that because you're a freshman that people won't value your input or enthusiasm
4) organization is your best friend. i use an app/website called "my study life" to track my homework and classes and have found it to be super helpful, but there are tons of other homework apps out there. it's also worth having an up to date calendar for any non-curricular things you need to keep track of, like volunteering. i just use the reminders app and make sure it's synced across my devices. you can't manage your time if you don't know what assignments you have to do or what you have scheduled that day
5) keep your priorities straight. what matters most to you will change from month to month, so making sure you're confident in what you're prioritizing and why is huge. for example, say you have finals in 4 weeks. if you want to start studying 2 weeks prior to your exams, put in extra effort and time with your research/volunteering in the 2 weeks prior to that and make sure your supervisors/primary investigators know that you won't be able to dedicate as much time during finals. you should still keep up with your responsibilities, but you need to dedicate the majority of your energy to finals because unfortunately grades do matter here.
6) it's ok to take breaks, it's ok to take a lighter semester, it's ok to hang out with friends, and it's ok to fuck up. everyone has to figure this shit out and there will be lots of things that look like failures but are actually blessings in disguise. for example: i got a C+ in gen chen and a B in bio my freshman year. some people would have retaken the class but i kept going, and in the process i learned a lot about myself and my study habits. i also learned that the purpose of weed out classes isn't to sort out the students who don't do well in classes, it's to sort out the people who will stop after failure. so i took that C+, new study habits, and new perspectives with me through my other tough science classes during my next two years and turned my grades around. now what started as a "death sentence" for most pre meds is an awesome cinderella story of perseverance that i can reflect on during my application cycle (all of those skills will also help me in med school too!)
i hope this was helpful and if you want anymore advice my inbox/dms are always open!

study tips?
omg hii!
so the majority of my classes are analysis and application based, math/engineering/etc. my best advice would be make a study group, and work through problems together. whether it’s homework or exam review, having other people there really helps. even just one other person can make a difference in how well you understand and retain the material. take turns working problems out on whiteboards, and ask for help when you get stuck. i promise, this is the reason i got an A in all of my calc, physics, statics/dynamics, and material classes.
yes, the worst part is going to be asking other people if they want to work together. but once you work up the courage and find some people, you will succeed. and you can always ask to join a group, you don’t have to be the one to start it.
good luck!! xoxo

soft scraps (after reading Le Corbusier's `Toward a New Architecture`)
25th December 2022
Tumblr media
I view the architect as the Renaissance man. The architect in spite of everything, should always be preoccupied by the meaning and the aesthetics of building. I consider good architecture as atemporal, apolitical and sincere.
Atemporality exists in every work of art and architecture, because man always looked up to his masters and muses.
The master is a dead character, a finished job, wrapped for us as a gift by writers and poets. Our job is to listen and understand. What we do afterwards is at our own latitude.
The muse is a living character. The relation between the architect and the muse has to do only by visualizing. As a result, we admire and as a result of it we create. There’s no such thing as touch, talk or seduce between the architect and the muse. She’s not a homework, nor a subject. The only purpose of the muse is to exist in our surroundings, to inspire us.
The artists are a part of our friends. Don’t bully them because they bathe in poetics and colors. The artist helps the architect by making him see and understand the present. We can consider him the first checkpoint, the intersection between past and present.
The engineers are another part of our friends. Don’t make them feel bad because they can’t always understand the purpose of our actions. The engineer helps the architect by making him analyze and engage in the problems of our present. They are the second checkpoint, the intersection between present and future.
The only way artists and engineers can communicate is through present.
Both the artist and the engineer experiment. And so should the architect.
Apolitically is the result of atemporality in every work of art and architecture, because man forgets easily the purpose, but the work itself still exists.
Architecture and Art are the stairs that we build, just to ascend somewhere. I am interested in the word somewhere.
The true expressions of the unknown and the ephemeral must be our topic.
In what we engage ourselves at the top of the stairs is Beauty, but it doesn’t last that much.
Beauty is large, bigger than our own spirit. We create Beauty but we are not a part from it. Beauty is expression.
Sincerity in art and architecture is a must. Only one who knows to observe can be sincere and only one who is preoccupied to be sincere with himself can master it in art and architecture.
As we need to lean towards cult novels, so we must toward architecture and art that provokes us. If architects don’t take this risk into consideration, in spite of everything that can pull him down, then architects are just builders.
Architecture is not a fashion because fashion has to do with temporality. Despite its atemporality, architecture is ephemeral. That doesn’t mean it isn’t strong and solid in its meaning and purpose, but we need to take in consideration the fact that everything has a beginning and an end. This process repeats and so the atemporal nature of art is born.
Elements of the process are symbols. They are eternal. The only thing that connects them with time is their birth.
Symbols can be singular in a composition or a multitude. Whatever it’s the case, they create images.
Composition is space combined with purpose. We can consider composition the second nature of space. More so, composition is a tool, and perspective is a method that helps in creating the image.
Architecture is poetry through symbol, and the symbol is material. We can view it or don’t, it depends on the architect if wants to be subtle or not.
Fantasy is the last component of architecture and art. Without it we are doomed.

Find the Best Entrance Exam Coaching Near Me – Toppers' Trust
Preparation for competitive entrance exams can be one of the toughest but defining moments in a student's life. Whether it's engineering, medicine, law, or business school, there is one thing you can be certain of — good guidance is what makes all the difference. That's where entrance exam coaching centers step in. If you have been searching for "entrance exam coaching near me," then you are half way there. This guidebook is present for leading you to awareness of how to look for a coaching center and how to choose the one which is good enough for toppers from all across the nation.
Why Entrance Exam Coaching Matters
Admission tests are designed to select the cream of the crop. Admission tests are competitive, time-sensitive, and idea-intellectuous. Regardless of how smart you are, self-preparation on your own might not be enough to crack tests like IIT-JEE, NEET, CLAT, CAT, or CUET. That is where a coaching institute comes in.
Excellent coaching institutes help students:
Acquire difficult concepts with ease
Practice with model tests and past year question papers
Accessing professional hacks and tips
Maintaining their focus intact with fixed routines
Availing one-to-one sessions of doubts removal
The distinction between achieving average marks and securing a top rank could be the quality of teaching one receives.
What Toppers Search for in a Coaching Institute
When the toppers are asked what benefited them the most when they were preparing, one thing that is universal is — good environment, teachers, and teaching style. Some of the qualities that they look for in a coaching center are:
1. Experienced Faculty
Well-qualified tutors make difficult ideas simple and straightforward to understand. Toppers find coaching centers with well-experienced and qualified trainers with a positive success rate in producing students' success.
2. In-Depth Study Material
The institute's quality of notes, homework, and reference books carries ample weightage while preparing. Toppers like to study material with concise nature, exam-oriented, and updated regularly according to the new syllabus.
3. Mock Tests and Performance Analysis
Regular tests replicate real examination environments and enable students to become familiar with their strengths and weaknesses. Top-rated coaching centers give students full-length mock tests as well as thorough performance reports so that they are able to improve.
4. Small Batch Size
If a coaching center keeps small batch sizes, teachers can allocate more time for every student. Toppers prefer such centers where they can freely ask questions and get personal attention.
5. Doubt Clearing Sessions
Doubt-clearing is essential in competitive exams. Institutes offering doubt-clearing sessions regularly, one-to-one or group-wise, allow students to eliminate confusion at an early stage.
6. Motivational Support
Entrance exams stress can be unbearable. A coaching institute which motivates, inspires, and boosts the morale of students through counseling, group discussion, and expert lecture at times of stress can prove to be a boon.
How to Get the Best Entrance Exam Coaching in Your Area
If you want to search for "entrance exam coaching near me" on internet search, here are steps of practicality that will help you make the decision:
1. Start with Online Search
Search for Google ratings, reviews by students, and success stories. Compare websites, faculty profiles, infrastructure, and batch timings.
2. Physical Visit
Wherever possible, visit coaching institutes nearby. Meet the teachers and students who are already pursuing there. Join a demo class. That provides you with a good insight into the learning process.
3. Check Success Rate
Ask the institute about its past performance. How many students have passed the top exams? Are there results coming each year consistently?
4. Check the Course Structure
Ensure syllabus coverage is adequate and in harmony with your exam. Crash courses, foundation courses, or weekend batches are also offered at some coaching centers to working students or school-going children.
5. Location and Accessibility
Choose a center close to home or within reach. Long travel times waste energy and rob valuable study time.
6. Cost and Value
Compare prices but not on the basis of price. Some centers may be more expensive, but they will offer better faculty, resources, and support.
Benefits of Enrolling in a Toppers' Choice Coaching Center
When you enroll in a coaching center that has been recommended by toppers, you have the benefit of a system that has already succeeded with high achievers. Such centers are sure to:
Employ tried-and-tested teaching methodologies
Establish a culture of success
Attract serious and competitive classmates
Provide exposure to a powerful alumni network
Apply proven revision and mock test strategies
You are also indirectly driven through studying in an environment where high achievers have studied there previously — it gives you the confidence that you can also do it.
Online vs Offline Coaching: What's Right for You
Now, all the students are going for online coaching because it is convenient and flexible. Even the best institutions have begun providing a combination of live classes, video classes, and test series online.
Go for online coaching if:
You already have a well-equipped study room at home
You prefer self-study
You are living in a rural area where there are no good institutions within accessible distance
Go for offline coaching if:
You need the social contact and individual guidance
You can't motivate or concentrate yourself on your own
You do best with peer interaction and directed classroom learning
The best coaching centers offer both, so look for hybrid models that suit your life and needs.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the correct entrance exam coaching in your area is a decision that can shape your future. While most institutes promise results, there are very few of them that consistently deliver them — and those are ones depended upon by toppers.
Remember that your willpower, persistence, and willingness to succeed are the pillars of success. But with good guidance, you can enhance your preparation, stay focused, and achieve your college life with confidence.
Start looking top-rated entrance exam coaching centers in your locality today — and take the first giant step towards your dream profession.

Why Your Sales Team Needs a Content Marketing Specialist More Than You Think
Tumblr media
When most businesses think about content marketing, they picture blog posts, social media captions, and SEO strategies run by the marketing department. But here’s the truth: your sales team needs a Content Marketing Specialist just as much if not more than your marketing team does.
Why? Because content isn’t just for clicks. It’s fuel for conversations, follow-ups, and closing deals.
In fast-moving sales environments, reps don’t just need product knowledge they need tools that spark trust, answer objections, and guide prospects through the buyer journey. That’s where a Content Marketing Specialist becomes a secret weapon.
1. Sales Conversations Are Content-Driven
Every buyer has questions. Great content answers them before the rep even gets on the call.
A skilled Content Marketing Specialist knows how to:
Create sales enablement materials like one-pagers, case studies, and pitch decks
Write email sequences that drive opens and replies
Build objection-busting blog posts and whitepapers
Align messaging with the actual language your prospects use
Instead of having reps reinvent the wheel on every deal, content provides consistency and confidence. When your sales team is backed by the right words, they close more.
2. Follow-Up Without Value = Dead Air
Let’s be real most sales follow-ups are painfully generic.
“Just checking in…” “Circling back…” “Any updates on your end?”
Now imagine if your follow-up included a fresh blog post that directly addressed your prospect’s hesitation. Or a short guide that speaks to their industry pain point. Or a testimonial video that makes their decision easier.
That’s what a Content Marketing Specialist brings to the table. They create follow-up ammo that adds value, not noise helping reps stay top of mind without sounding desperate.
3. Shorter Sales Cycles, Smarter Buyers
Today’s buyers do their homework. By the time they talk to sales, they’ve already:
Visited your website
Read (or skimmed) your blog
Checked out reviews and competitors
If your content doesn’t tell the full story or worse, doesn’t exist your sales team starts on the back foot.
A Content Marketing Specialist makes sure the right information is available at every stage of the funnel. That way, by the time a lead hits your sales team, they’re informed, aligned, and ready to move.
4. Content Powers Personalization at Scale
Every sales leader wants personalization. But most sales reps don’t have time to write unique intros or dig through blog archives before hitting “send.”
Enter the content specialist.
They create:
Industry-specific resources
Persona-based messaging
Modular templates that reps can plug into their outreach tools (think: HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach)
With the right content system, your reps can personalize quickly without slowing down.
5. Your Competitors Are Already Doing It
If your competitors have a stronger content presence, better materials, and clearer messaging, you’re already behind.
A well-trained Content Marketing Specialist gives your sales team a competitive edge by:
Aligning your brand voice across all touchpoints
Ensuring your sales materials actually match what your website promises
Giving your reps the firepower to pitch with clarity and conviction
In a noisy market, great content isn’t a “nice to have.” It’s what separates winners from everyone else.
Final Thoughts: Sales + Content = Growth
If you want your sales team to close more, faster, and with fewer headaches, give them what they really need: a Content Marketing Specialist embedded in their world.
At Cadre Crew, we train and place content pros who understand both marketing strategy and sales execution. They don’t just write they build revenue tools that drive real business results.
Because content isn’t just about traffic.
It’s about trust.
And trust is what closes deals.
Ready to give your sales team the support they deserve? Let’s build your content engine.
