Also also: "AI detectors" CANNOT detect AI. Not even a little bit. It's a lie on every level. Their accuracy is equivalent to that of asking a Magic 8 Ball.
PSA
Just a heads up, there are bots going around on AO3 accusing people of using AI. Considering the timing, this is likely AI bros' retaliation for AO3 users calling them out for scraping their work. Examples of what you might be sent:

LMAO alright so fucking get this bullshit. I run a fanfic written by AI through a detector. 0% detected. I run one I spent like two weeks writing. 26-45% detected. Let me off this cocky ball fart globe.
I have to start this with a PSA
Do NOT feed ANYTHING into an "AI Detector"
Never. Ever. EVER. Don't do it.
AI Detectors at BEST are useless, at WORST you are feeding your own work into a AI Collection/Scraper.
A robot cannot detect a robot's work because neither robot is actually intelligent. Neither robot can make a determination. Neither robot can come to a conclusion based on context because there is not yet any artificial anything that can think.
YOU have to learn how to spot AI content that isn't labeled on your own. I'm sorry, cause it sucks, and you're probably going to second guess yourself a lot, and you're just going to have to do your best and keep it to yourself because even if you are 100,000% CERTAIN that you are correct, opening up some kind of AI witch-hunt is absolutely NOT useful.
/deep breath/
Okay, harried lecture over.
Don't use AI detectors, they're functionally worthless and you're running the risk of consensually handing over your work to AI. I promise you any AI Detector site has some ToS policy about how you're consenting to letting them use what you feed into it.
So do not feed anything into it.
Ever.
EVER.
I do not care if you think [God] brought the most divine and pure of AI Detector sites into creation via infallible will.
DO NOT USE THEM.

If you're not great at spotting AI art, there are a few free sites to help you figure it out...
(The first link, AI or Not is the fastest / easiest imho but selection is rarely a bad thing.)
Really helpful if you're getting a fanart commission or book cover or something and someone is trying to trick you into paying for an AI creation. AI technology gets better all the time so you can't always rely on the usual "tells." But if it looks off and you want to double check, here are some ways to do it!

PSA that ai-detection tools are not yet as accurate as I wish they were. Here's hoping they improve QUICKLY, 🙏 but in the meantime, please be aware of both false positives and false negatives!
This reaffirms the importance of sharing WIPS, even though they are ugly and I don't wanna 😭😭

AI scanners are such a fucking joke and it’s not funny at all.
I was writing my final English essay, and I put a lot of effort into it. It took a long time, like 40 something minutes, but I finished it and turned it in hoping to get a good grade.
It was flagged as AI by 5 different scanners. FIVE. DIFFERENT. SCANNERS.
I worked so hard on that stupid essay and all I got in return was having to desperately plead to my teacher that I DID in fact write it. I’ve had this teacher for 3 years now (I do in-person online classes and he oversees online work) so thankfully he didn’t penalize me or have me redo it because he knows I wouldn’t use AI. I got lucky, but what if it happened with a teacher who didn’t know me well enough to trust me on this??
I’m so tired of AI scanners. They don’t do their job correctly. I’ve heard so many classmates brag about using AI and getting good grades for it, but the moment I put in actual effort I get flagged FIVE TIMES????
It’s just such a fucking joke. AI scanners aren’t accurate, they just flag anything that has a formal/monotonous tone and uses big words. Which isn’t even accurate to the AI I have seen before. Why am I getting in trouble for putting in effort but the lazy jerk next to me gets an A for using chatgpt?? It’s just not fair and I’m so so incredibly frustrated I can’t even begin to explain it.
I don’t even think there’s ever going to be a way AI scanners can accurately tell what is AI and what isn’t, because it only flags certain writing styles. Not just AI uses these writing styles!! Where do you think it learned that from!! You cannot possibly tell what is AI and what isn’t just based off of that. It’s unfair, inaccurate, and screws over anyone who actually tries on their work. It’s bullshit.

Don't trust the "AI detector" things. I just wanted to see how accurate it could be, as it's a great way to know if writers are real one or not. Asked random text to AI.
Out of 4, the thing detected 3 as "probably written by a human".
Then I put my own text to see… same, I put 4 differents one and 2 have been noted as "probably written by an AI"… should I precise all the text I put in this were written waaay before AI even exist XD (thoses I wrote when in high school and some recent but still before this crazy AI thing) The reason? (because yes, there is details about it) "this sentence look similare to another book, it's problably copyrithed work copied by the AI" ah, yes "Once upon a time" and "they lived happily ever after" are SOOOO rare in books!!
Also, every time a difficult word is used, or a sentence is a little weird (yeah I'm sorry, english not my first language, of course there is mistakes) it immediately detect it as AI. Like… humans can't use difficult words apparently XD
And I put a little part of the book I wrote all in ryhmes… and so I'm forced to put weird sentence to have the ryhmes right XD BTW, the random text I asked to the AI were sh*t. I think we don't need a detector to know when we see one.
Remember the AI detectors are actually AI tools too...
Oh also… I tried with the french version of my texts. The exact same texts I tried in english and the percentages was waaaay lower, it only got crazy about the ryhmes book again… but then, like… every english peoples are AI??
To the teachers who use this stupid thing, don't thrust it! Don't give detention just because that thing said the text of your student have been written by AI. You'll totally know it if it's the case!
OMG I'm thinking of all of the poor students who got detention unfairly because of this thing...

Found this web called Illuminarty that can help you identify whether an image is AI generated or not and thought some might wanna use it. It shows you a percentage of probabilities that image is AI and it can also be used for AI generated text. Here's an example:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's a logo I made and the proof of it. If I drop this image in Illuminarty it gives me a low percentage.
Tumblr media
It doesn't need to be 0% to mean it isn't AI generated. This tool is probably analysing patterns it finds in AI art so it may need more versions to be better, but if it's an AI generated image the number usually is 50% or higher.

AI Text to Human: How to Sound Real in Every Sentence
Let's face it, artificial intelligence is pervasive nowadays. It helps you write emails, recommends your next movie, and tools like ChatGPT can produce essays, articles, and reports in a matter of seconds. Even though AI is very intelligent, it frequently lacks the human touch that makes writing sound authentic to you. You're dealing with a common problem if your AI-generated draft seems generic, robotic, or simply not your style. The good news? To make sure your writing consistently reflects your distinct voice rather than merely being the result of a machine, you can convert AI text to human.
Tumblr media
Has Someone Flagged Your Essay? The Secret Issue with Writing Generic AI
Consider that you used AI to draft some of your essay after spending hours researching and planning it. Before you turned in your work and began hearing phrases like "AI detection" or "AI-generated," you felt ahead of schedule. You ask yourself, "Despite my best efforts to personalize it, why does my essay sound so dull?"
Many students share this pain. Text produced by AI is typically generic and only faintly resembles your real voice or vocabulary. The cake is edible but lacks your grandmother's secret ingredient, much like when you bake it using a universal recipe. This generic style may cause professors to become suspicious or activate AI detection tools. This generic style may cause professors to become suspicious or activate AI detection tools. You put a lot of work into your essay, so you want your ideas and effort to stand out rather than be overshadowed by a generic output from a bot.
How Can AI Writing Sound Like You?
Therefore, how can artificial intelligence (AI) make text that is rigid and robotic sound human? Emphasizing your voice and personality is more important than deceiving detection systems. Why is your writing unique?
Your tales
The way you express yourself
The tone you use
Your viewpoints and experiences
Rewriting the AI's useful parts in your way while retaining their usefulness is the aim. Humanizing AI is the term for this process. And it's not as difficult as you might think with a little assistance.
The Secret to Creating Authentically Human AI Content
Humanizing AI content requires both meticulous editing and a thorough comprehension of your writing style. AI Humanizer Pro can help with that. It is intended to assist you in turning generic AI drafts into interesting, personalized content by:
Identifying robotic phrases: AI frequently employs repetitive, standard phrases. These are recognized by AI Humanizer Pro, which then recommends more organic substitutes, such as substituting "It is important to recognize" with "It's important to recognize."
Changing vocabulary and sentence structure: AI frequently produces recurring sentence patterns. The tool helps you use words that sound natural to you, increases your vocabulary, and promotes a variety of short and long sentences.
Refining tone and feeling: AI Humanizer Pro assists you in modifying word choice and phrasing to convey the precise tone you desire, whether that be one of confidence, inquiry, or empathy.
Adding your twist: While AI can arrange arguments, you can demonstrate critical thinking and personal investment by adding your viewpoint, counterarguments, or alternative ways of emphasizing points.
Practice and improvement: AI Humanizer Pro is like having your writing coach; the more you use it, the more proficient you become at converting AI text to human text.
AI Humanizer Pro: Why Use It?
Simply upload your AI draft to AI Humanizer Pro to avoid the hassle of having to redo everything by hand. It makes the process of converting text from robotic AI into readable, organic human writing easier. As a result, you can concentrate on your thoughts and originality while the tool enhances your voice.
In conclusion
AI-generated content is commonplace in today's world, but your human voice is what makes you stand out. It gives your writings purpose, makes your assignments interesting, and helps readers connect with your ideas. Although AI can produce content rapidly, your creativity is what matters.
Making your work sound like you is more important than simply evading detection when converting AI text to human. Use AI to get started, and then let AI Humanizer Pro help you create the ideal humanized version of your writing when it's time to polish it and add your unique touch.
Give your writing the individual touch it needs by using AI Humanizer Pro right now!

Best AI Detector Tools in 2025 to Spot ChatGPT-Generated Text
Artificial intelligence has advanced rapidly, with systems like ChatGPT demonstrating an impressive ability to generate human-like text on demand. This has led to excitement about the possibilities of AI to boost content creation and concerns about potential misuse.
As a business owner or marketer in 2025, you'll need effective tools to detect AI-written content as part of your content strategy. Read on for an in-depth look at the top AI detection services to spot machine-generated text among genuine human writing.
Defining AI Content
AI content refers to text, articles, emails, social posts, and other formats that are fully or partially created by an artificial intelligence system rather than a human writer. The most common form is using a generative AI tool like ChatGPT to auto-write blog posts, product descriptions, FAQs, and more.
Businesses are turning to AI content for its speed and low cost. But risks include inaccuracy, plagiarism, lack of nuance, and search engine penalties. Google has warned about low-quality and thin content.
As an ethical content publisher, you need to ensure that any AI-assisted copy meets quality standards through editing and reviews. And for fully auto-generated blogs or product copy, detection tools are essential to flag potential issues. One such tool gaining popularity for its precision and ease of use is the AI Detector by Smodin, which helps identify AI-generated text to maintain content integrity and trust.
Top AI Detection Tools
Now, let's look at the top tools that are worth paying attention to:
Smodin
Smodin offers a highly accurate AI detector focused solely on identifying machine-written text. It can catch content from ChatGPT, Claude, and other leading systems.
We tested over 50 tools, and Smodin emerged as the top performer for precision and reliability. It works by analyzing writing patterns rather than matching specific text segments.
Features:
Scans text up to 50,000 characters.
Checks documents including Word, PDFs, and Excel.
No account signup required.
Detailed analysis reports.
Trained on major AI models.
97% accuracy in tests.
Pricing starts at $9month for up to 15,000 characters per scan. It′s an affordable solution for in frequent scanning needs. Power users can upgrade to 50,000 characters for $18/month.
Overall, Smodin is quick, accurate, and simple to use. It's a specialist detector focused wholly on generative AI unlike more general plagiarism checkers. For consistently reliable AI detection, Smodin is a top choice.
Packback
Packback offers an AI detector alongside writing and discussion tools for classrooms. As an established edtech platform, its detector draws on specialization in academic content.
It focuses on finding text matches more than analyzing writing patterns. You receive highlighted passages and an overall AI score. Packback also provides writing feedback to improve student work.
Features:
AI probability score.
Text matches highlighted.
Student writing grader.
Class discussion boards.
Lesson plans and content.
Pricing is customized for each school or district. You need to book a demo to receive a quote. As it's tailored for education, Packback isn't ideal for businesses unless content creation involves student workers.
For academic institutions, Packback bundles handy teaching tools with AI detection. But its accuracy still lags behind specialist services like Smodin.
Wordtune
Wordtune is an AI writing assistant focusing on grammar, tone, clarity and more. Its free version offers a basic AI detector including a probability score.
For $9/month, an upgraded plan provides unlimited checks and access to Wordtune's full suite of writing enhancement tools powered by AI.
Features:
Free basic AI detector.
Paid unlimited checks.
AI-assisted grammar improvement.
Tone adjustment suggestions.
Readability metrics.
Summarization.
Paraphrasing helper.
Wordtune packs in a wide range of AI writing features beyond just generative text detection. It aims to help human creators polish their own work.
But our tests found Wordtune's AI detector lagged rivals in accurately pinpointing machine-written text. Its strength lies more in augmenting humans than exposing AIs.
Typeset (Scispace)
Typeset, now rebranded as Scispace, focuses on AI writing tools for researchers. This includes an academic paper assistant, a literature review generator, and an AI detector.
It aims to help students and scientists spot AI-generated text while also using AI to boost their own productivity with writing automation.
Features:
AI-assisted writing.
Reference checking.
Literature search.
Paper summarization.
AI detector.
Plagiarism checker.
Pricing starts at free for basic access or $12/month for premium unlimited use. Bulk academic plans are also available.
While Typeset (Scispace) offers a lot for researchers, its AI detector scored poorly for accuracy in our testing. For reliable detection, you'll likely need a supplemental specialized tool like Smodin.
Writefull
Writefull provides a suite of academic writing aids like outline creators, grammar checkers, citation builders, and its AI detector.
The detector aims to catch text from GPT-4 content farms. It's free without a subscription but has daily usage limits unless you pay for premium access.
Features:
Free AI detector (limited).
Paid premium option.
Academic writing templates.
Grammar and style check.
Citation management.
Research assistant.
In head-to-head tests, Writefull struggled to reliably identify AI content compared to offerings like Smodin. But it can still be a handy free starting point before confirming with a more robust detector.
The tool shows promise but needs better training on the latest generative AI models. For students and academics, Writefull's suite of writing aids is its main draw over its AI detection specifically.
AI Detection Considerations
With AI advancing so rapidly, detection tools require near-constant retraining. When assessing providers, you'll want to check their update schedule and accuracy testing.
Specialist services focused wholly on AI detection tend to outperform detectors included as a side feature in writing tools. General plagiarism checkers also often struggle to pinpoint AI content.
For the best results, consider combining a high-quality dedicated detector like Smodin with a second opinion from alternatives like Writefull's free tool. This provides both accuracy and an instant free starting point before confirming doubtful content.
Why AI Detection Matters
Artificial intelligence can produce text that is useful in certain situations. It could be useful for starting new content or supplying content for your website. Yet, the lack of proper checking for AI content is causing increasing concerns.
Inaccuracy. AI might incorrectly present facts that are based on old or unreliable information. Human involvement is needed to check facts before they reach customers.
Plagiarism. Many generative models take information from sources without giving proper credit. This is not allowed because it copies other people’s work.
Search penalties. Google reduces the importance of pages that lack expertise. Often, AI text lacks the depth and understanding that human writing can provide.
Ethics. If you pretend that AI is human-written, you are deceiving those who expect real work. If people are aware of automation, they can make better decisions.
This is why responsible publishers use AI alongside original text written by people. Using AI detection, it’s possible to review any machine-generated content before it is published.
The Key is AI-Human Collaboration
The best way is to view content creation as a task that involves both people and machines. Automation helps people work much faster and more efficiently. People are still needed to handle the finer points, give the right feeling, and understand the audience.
AI detection is part of the collaborative process. Detectors can quickly flag machine-generated text, so manual reviews can be directed to where they are most useful.
Do not worry about AI; instead, learn to use it the right way by relying on a precise detector, such as Smodin. AI does not intend to take over human creativity; it is meant to support it. These tools make it possible to identify what still needs to be done by humans.
