I’ve been watching the new zombies trailer over and over again. This will be a long post about it, if you haven’t seen it then spoiler warning!

I feel like them showing Weavers room in-depth like this is building towards the shared hatred that him and Edward Richtofen have for one another now. His name is etched in the wall much more deeply than anything else, and very noticeably too. Also:

Smaller things I noticed were what I think is a name “Harry”(?) etched out in the wall. There’s a rumor Weaver accidentally killed Richtofen’s son and wife. It is at least confirmed that Weaver did accidentally kill a kid in the BOCW zombies intel where he claimed he didn’t know the kid was there and was very distraught as Maxis comforted him.

The date might just be the day they were taken into the terminus facility. I just thought it stood out. Along with the saying above the coatrack thing. “I will have no dreams in breathless…(slumber?)” I can’t make out the last word quite well but slumber is my best guess.

Also just a cool note is that it appears that Weaver is actually a decent artist. Just a fun little piece of info I like to see.

I also wonder what exactly the two weapons are pointed towards? Perhaps a metaphor for Richtofen or perhaps he’s just gone insane. If anyone understands Russian and can translate the text I’d be very appreciative ❤️

Grey, Carver, and Raptor one all look amazing and surprisingly built for their situation. Then again this is cod lol. I know in Carvers report he would hold little training sessions to keep moral up so it seemed to work. Also Raptor One’s smile looks like that Mewing meme and I can’t get it out of my head. His name was allegedly revealed to be Stoney Maddox

I’m really excited for Maya and what she will bring to the story. I also want to know who her brother is and how he potentially ended up on Richtofen’s shit list. Also she’s kinda cute like 👀

plot: pop star hits rising artist kyle garrick with her car. her pr team decides that they should enter into a PR relationship because their albums are coming out the same day. in the interest of being transparent and honest, she tells kyle about the people she’s casually hooking up with- a medical student and tattoo artist named simon, a nepo baby painter who’s overstayed his visa named johnny, and an f1 driver for ferrari with multiple luxury brand campaigns named farah. soon enough, kyle’s invited over to meet simon and johnny, and the fun begins ;)

oc: think a cross between sabrina carpenter, ariana grande in her eternal sunshine era, chappell roan, and molly grace (if you don’t know her, look her up!) current name is maya finnemore, she’s fat for sure. former child star who now makes raunchy pop and is very outspoken about social issues. also she’s a terrible driver because of her disaster bisexual tendencies

I love the detail, although somewhat tragic or sad at the beginning, of how in the Terminus map in the zombies mode of Black Ops 6, Grey and Weaver talk about their concern for Maya. They don't know her but seeing how she killed a guard as if it were nothing leaves them on alert. Weaver says that for now they can't do much, in any case in the end they will kill her and Peck and then they will see what to do or something.

Then in the Citadelle map, after the death of Maya's brother, Weaver asks her how she is because she is affected, I would say she genuinely asks her, and she naturally responds irritated, angry, sarcastic. Like a teenager would respond to her father, only here... they are not father and daughter, there is no such relationship. Weaver in the end lets it go and does not insist.

Also in this map Weaver questions Peck telling him that although he doesn't know what he did to make Maya trust him, he questions Peck what he will do when he inevitably fucks up and Maya realizes what a piece of shit Peck is and tells him... quite angry at Peck...

Then... for the map of The Tombs at one point Maya imitates Grey and Weaver genuinely laughs and even plays along saying between laughs "Grey, is that you?" Or if Weaver is knocked down and Maya revives him, while we play, she doesn't blame him for anything and even makes some funny comments and Weaver genuinely thanks her, even playing along, without that authoritarian touch, without being condescending, without being... more than genuine and grateful for not leaving him stranded.I love how their relationship evolves little by little.I always assume that Weaver can relate to it since he had a sister who died giving birth, so Weaver has or had a niece, but we don't know much about her.

In Maya's case, we saw that she had to kill her younger brother because he was a monster and she couldn't stand it and she asked her sister to kill him, without remorse, but she carries the guilt of not being able to avoid it being the older sister.And well, in Citadelle we see her revenge when she kills Franco who was the one who handed her brother over for some experiments and he became the monster that Maya saw and had to kill.

At some point I notice a certain similarity between the two, the loss of their brothers respectively even though they were for different reasons...Added to the fact that Weaver lost Samantha Maxis and everything we see now in Black Ops 6 has the purpose of recovering her and taking her out of the dark ether. It still resonates in me how Weaver begged Samantha not to do something stupid and in the end she sacrifices herself to defeat the Forgotten One...So...Weaver lost his father when he was a child, his sister, Samantha Maxis...his list of female losses is...quite extensive...and they are usually young women.

I guess Weaver might be trying to prevent something equally bad from happening to Maya this time, I don't think he wants to repeat the mistakes of the past that he couldn't avoid with Samantha, although he himself couldn't do much on that occasion and it wasn't his fault if you ask me...but still, Weaver's sense of responsibility is huge, no matter what.I don't know...Maya and Weaver end up reminding me of Ellie and Joel from The last of us...

Me encanta el detalle, aunque algo trágico o triste al inicio, de como en el mapa de Terminus en el modo zombies de black ops 6 Grey y Weaver hablan de su preocupación por Maya. No la conocen pero ver cómo mató a un guardia como si nada los deja en alerta. Weaver dice que por ahora no pueden hacer mucho, en todo caso al final la mataran a ella y Peck y luego verán qué hacer o algo.

Luego en el mapa de Citadelle, después de la muerte del hermano de Maya, Weaver le pregunta que cómo está ella porque se ve afectada, de forma genuina diría yo que se lo pregunta, y ella naturalmente responde irritada, enojada, sarcástica. Como una adolescente le respondería a su padre, sólo que aquí...no son padre e hija, no hay esa relación. Weaver al final lo deja pasar y no insiste. También en este mapa Weaver cuestiona a Peck diciéndole que si bien no sabe qué hizo para que Maya confíe en él, le cuestiona a Peck qué hará cuando irremediablemente la joda y Maya se de cuenta de la mierda que es Peck y se lo dice...bastante enojado a Peck...

Luego... para el mapa de The Tombs en un momento Maya imita a Grey y Weaver genuinamente se ríe y hasta le sigue el juego diciendo entre risas "Grey ¿eres tu?" O si Weaver es derribado y Maya lo revive, mientras jugamos, ella no le reprocha nada y hasta hace algún comentario chistoso y Weaver genuinamente se lo agradece, hasta siguiéndole el rollo, sin ese toque autoritario, sin ser condescendiente, sin ser...más que genuino y agradecido por no dejarlo tirado.

Amo como va evolucionando su relación poco a poco.

Siempre supongo que Weaver pues se puede sentir identificado ya que tenía una hermana la cual falleció al dar a luz, así que Weaver tiene o tuvo una sobrina, pero no sabemos mucho de ella. En el caso de Maya pues vimos que tuvo que matar a su hermano menor porque al ser un monstruo no aguantaba y se lo pidió a su hermana, que lo matara, sin remordimientos, pero ella carga con la culpa de no haber podido evitarlo siendo la hermana mayor.

Y bueno, en Citadelle vemos su venganza cuando mata a Franco quien fue el que entregó a su hermano para unos experimentos y quedó como el monstruo que Maya vio y tuvo que matar.

En algún punto noto cierto parecido entre ambos, la pérdida de sus hermanos respectivamente aunque fueran por causas diferentes...Sumado a que Weaver perdió a Samantha Maxis y todo lo que vemos ahora en black ops 6 tiene el propósito de recuperarla y sacarla del éter oscuro. Aún resuena en mi como Weaver le rogó a Samantha que no hiciera algo estúpido y al final ella se sacrifica para derrotarl al Olvidado...Así que...Weaver perdió a su padre cuando era niño, a su hermana, a Samantha Maxis...su lista de perdidas, femeninas, es...bastante extensa... y suelen ser mujeres jóvenes. Supongo que Weaver podría estar intentando evitar que algo igual de malo le ocurra a Maya esta vez, no creo que quiera repetir los errores del pasado que no pudo evitar con Samantha, aunque él mismo no pudo hacer mucho en aquella ocasión y no fue su culpa si me lo preguntan...pero aún así, el sentido de responsabilidad de Weaver es enorme, no importa el qué.

No sé...Maya y Weaver me terminan recordando a Ellie y Joel de The last of us...

it’s relief you first see that washes over simon’s eyes; relief, and something else, you’re not quite sure. apprehension, was it? you see it in the way his eyes soften the slightest, the usual sharp upturn of the corners release and droop down into that gaze he always gives you, and only you—as if you created every beautiful thing there is to exist. in retrospect, he was right. you see the apprehension in the way his brows crease, irises darting back and forth as if he’s now realizing that he’s standing on your doorstep with ghost still in his clutches. battered, bloodied, brooding—all the things he’s promised to never let you get a glimpse of.

a dull thud sounds as everything in his hands drops to the ground, shaky steps toward you muffled by the carpet beneath his feet. on any other day, you would’ve scolded him for it, told him to leave his muddy boots by the doorway. you hated having dirt on the floors, but none of that mattered now.

you meet him halfway, slow, cautious strides that are silent compared to his dull ones. the same gaze trains on you, you don’t dare tear your eyes away from him either. even when you have to crane your neck and shivers run down your spine as you stare at the skull that looms over you, you don’t look away. not when your lover’s warm, honeyed brown eyes are filled with a desperation that claws at your soul.

“simon…” a hand snakes to his clothed cheek, you can hear the sharp breath he takes as he all but melts into your palm. you can tell he’s tired, burdened. wanting to rest and be at ease with nothing but you in his arms and mind, but something is stopping him. he’s still tied back to the battlefield, to the deaths, to the suffering. he’s tried to let go of it, to leave it behind the door like he always did, but he can’t, not this time. it’s you who has to sever that string that ties him back.

“simon…”

“come back to me, simon.”

you’re swept off your feet before you can take another breath, soft gasps falling past your lips as he wraps himself around you, pushing you back against the wall. your legs coil around his waist, arms around his neck as he tugs off his mask and shoves his face into your chest. his breaths are sharp, heaving as if it pains him to breathe, and you feel your heart clench at the sound of his small whimpers. he’s tired. he’s had enough. you bury your nose into his tousled hair, taking in his scent that you missed dearly, whispering sweet nothings with fervor. with the way his body shakes, his grip falters, you’re all but determined to bring him back to you, bring him back to his sweet girl.

“it’s okay, simon, i’m here. it’s okay, sweetheart…” you don’t know how long you stay there, held taut in his arms as you utter the same words over and over again. you don’t know how long till his chest stops heaving and his heartbeat slows, till his cheeks are dry from the stray tears that slipped out. you do know, however, that when he places you back down on your feet with utter care and pulls away from you, the softest of smiles etched on his lips, ghost is long gone and only simon remains.

your simon.

he plants a kiss on your head, you return with a gentle one on his cheek. you’re smiling now. “welcome home, simon. i missed you.”

So.... In Terminus, Peck says: "The juice better be worth the squeeze," during an easter egg step. And after Nathan he keeps checking in with Maya. He's so supportive of her revenge plot and when she does the secret morse code radio quest in Citadelle des Morts he is SO SWEET afterwards (in his own rough way) Then I noticed when playing as Maya in Citadelle des Morts that when you go inside the lion door to finish the Lion Sword she says: "The juice better be worth the squeeze." SHE FUCKING GOT THAT FROM PECK

So Peck is her adopted dad now and if anything happens to either of them I'll riot.
