Hello everyone, I’m Yuchan, and I’m here to present an independent project I’m working on. I’m creating a yandere visual novel called Two Faced Lovers.

I would like to ask for some feedback, as I don’t want to end up creating a copy of a game or visual novel I haven’t encountered yet. I’ll give a brief summary of the story, but it might change as the game updates and is developed.

Synopsis: You’re in school, it’s your last year, and this year you decide to make some changes by starting new friendships and finally fitting in. However, along the way, you encounter people who are willing to fight for their eternal love, even if it means lying or killing to get what they want.

Now, I’ll explain a little more about the story: the visual novel I’m creating features two yanderes and two rivals (the number of rivals may change). Keep in mind that in this story, rivals can be romantic partners, but they are considered rivals by the yanderes.

Currently, I’m working on the NPC sprites, and since I’m the only one working on it—drawing, editing, and even programming—I believe the game won’t be completed anytime soon, especially since this is my first time creating a game.

I want to bring a somewhat cute theme inspired by 14dwyN, and I’ll reveal who the yanderes are. But I want to emphasize that the game will be a "farce," with the theme initially appearing as a cute romance game, but once you start playing, it turns out to be a somewhat darker game.

I just want to emphasize again that my game is entirely inspired by 14 Days With You, The Kid in the Back, Date with Death, and Error143. I am simply a big fan of these works, and they have inspired me a lot to gather the courage to create my own game with my own hands.

Okay, MAJOR SALT COMING! Also a long post!

So I have the Disney Villains tarot deck but before I go into the salt part of the post, let's go into the positives.

The cards have stunning art and each card is appropriately themed to the villain generally speaking about 98% of the time. (IMO).

Another positive is the roster of villains included. Seeing even a few minor/underrated villains is pretty cool and impressive.

Some examples of these villains include Bowler Hat Guy, Madame Mim, Madame Medusa, and possibly Yzma.

Now onto the salt.

As impressive as the span of villains is, two villains are absent who (IMO) deserved a card.

King Candy

Frollo

First, there are other villains absent, but I'm sticking to these two since I've seen these movies. Now going in order, it is an absolute SHAME (IMO) that King Candy doesn't have a card, but I have an idea of which card suits him best.

The King of Swords. Although this card is given to Scar, and I do love how it looks, I believe that King Candy deserved it.

Plus, Scar appears on like three other cards, so I think it's okay for him to appear three times (sorry Scar, I do love you too).

Anyway, I'm going to go into some detail as to why I believe King Candy/Turbo deserves the card by going into the meaning of it and how it relates to him.

I'll admit, I have a lot of points and can talk about this for days, but I'm going to condense them to 3-ish. I'll do the same for Frollo too in a part 2 post.

Going for a two in one here: The card is about being an authority who uses reason and their intelligence for good. while the reverse of this is being cunning to deceive people.

After Turbo hijacked Sugar Rush, he was very methodical about his approach to make it sound like he's their rightful ruler. He locked up their memories, then he fabricated the lie that she was a danger to their game. Turbo did his best to make sure nothing went unchecked and made sure to make the lie sound convincing to protect them (but mostly him). He's very strategic, and was able to come up with a plan to manipulate Ralph with 16 manipulation tactics in one go. He was even able to feign being concerned to play on Ralph's attachment to Vanellope.

I think the best line that best captures this aspect of the card is "Doing what's right, no matter what." AKA: He recognizes that it may sound harsh, but he makes his lies sound reasonable to protect his subjects and game.

The card also represents enjoying structure when upright. But it's controlling and oppressive in a need for order when reversed.

Turbo needs everything to be to be going his way, as he's a control freak.

Inserting the test animation here, he even says "You are a threat to my game, to the order I have maintained. And if there's one thing I can't abide, it's anything out of order!"

Also, the split-second something isn't in his control, he starts to fumble and break into either rage or nervously laughing. He's capable of coming off as cool and composed, but he's scared of being caught and it can cause him to lash out in anger (another aspect of the card).

Just as mentioned in the previous point, he made sure nothing went unchecked and made an entire world literally revolve around him. He can and WILL happily use all of his resources of excessive force he has like the cops, the Sugar Rush equivalent of S.W.A.T., and the fungeon to detain someone who stands in his way.

As a minor note, there's a line in the tarot guidebook that states the reverse of the card can represent "someone who needs to win at any cost." Which describes Turbo to a T. He not only wants attention but he's also extremely competitive. It's part of his programming, and it ties to his love for racing. To always come out on top and be #1. No matter who or what stands in his way.

That core drive (pun intended) was the cause of his villainy in the first place and earned him his infamous status in the arcade.

Okay, I don't want to sound too salty, but you can imagine my disappointment when King Candy didn't get a card.

Oh well, Its fine, I still love and use this deck.

So I guess we can call this the thrilling conclusion to the 3 part saga of including King Candy in Disney Villain merchandise.

Also as a sidenote: hypothetically if he did get this card, what would the imagery be?

I feel the card has the potential to get creative with the glitch effects. For example make it so that he's glitching between the Turbo appearance and the King Candy appearance. If we want to be a little cheeky, we could have it set in his castle, and out the window, we see a the cybug Ralph initially sent to SR flying outside a castle window. (similar to Hook's card as the crocodile is seen outside)

So basically, my interpretation would be a mix of these images and Captain Hook's card:

But, if anyone else has really cool ideas, I'd love to hear them! If you want, you could also draw it out to illustrate your point (pun intended) Honestly please do, I'd love to see other people's interpretations of this card for him. The possibilities are endless!

This is a tough one, given recent events. A few weeks ago, I'd have said the Canopians.

Then we got the MIM's report on us. It's very...creative. Actually, no, it's totally detached from any sort of reality. I'd expect Taurian intelligence (HA!) to come up with that, not them. Especially the part where Lady Arano's no different from Santiago Espinosa because she's not letting those little "the Directorate will rise again" clubs exist. Yeah, that's totally the same as a guy who thought Stefan Amaris's human rights violation record was a challenge.

With that in mind...it's still the Canopians. This MIM blunder is, so far, a tiny blip of bad compared to them bankrolling the Restoration and being the only one of our neighbors not to try to invade us at some point (yet).

🔴 What factions (that you do not belong to) do you disrespect? Why?

I probably don't have to explain the average Aurigan's beef with the Concordat, or why we're so damn smug about doing to them what they did to the Star League (and, to any Taurians reading this, we'll do it again).

The Capellans are...well, they're a Great House. And they've got a border with us. Disrespecting them just comes with the (literal) territory. Plus, they're probably where Espinosa got a lot of ideas.

I don't much like the FedRats, either. I was reasonably neutral on the Lyrans, but now they're pushing toward being one big happy family. That's going to suck for everyone.

💛 What do you currently pilot?

A Marauder. Stock MAD-3R, but I'm getting very tempted by the Nautilus lostech right now. I'm definitely trading up to double sinks and CASE once they clear those for use, and I've got my eye on an LB-10X in there, maybe some of the pulse lasers if they can squeeze some in. Probably upgrading to ferro-fibrous, too.

CALIBURN is probably going to be a very "use it or lose it" program.

💚 What do techs usually complain about with your piloting?

Given that my AC ammo tends to go missing before I hit the field, it's probably heat management.

My service during the Restoration earned me a Medal of Valor and got me kicked up into the Royal Guard (with that sweet red paint job on my Marauder and first pick of lostech from Nautilus once we get everything catalogued).

🛸 Is there a "canon rumor" theory (e.g. hyperspace weirdness, aliens, Phantom 'Mech Ability, time travel, alternate universes, the Lost Cameron) that you believe in? Or perhaps have experienced?

Any good Aurigan knows that the Minnesota Tribe came either here or somewhere nearby. Merope, Vandenberg, Dobrev, it all points pretty clearly to them coming this way after Richmond.

I've never seen aliens, but I've heard things from Deep Periphery traders, and saying there's no aliens is like scooping up a glass of water out of a lake and saying that, since there's no fish in the glass, there's no fish in the entire lake. You could be right, but then what the hell splashed over there?

I've seen way too many shots go wide somehow when the weapon's literally touching its target to not believe there's something to this Phantom 'Mech thing.

All of the former living weapons at Xavier's Institute (Christopher Nord, Laura X23, Logan, Bucky Barnes, Legion, etc,) are going to be extremely helpful with the survivors of Maleficent, Sykes, and Mim's weapon programs. They understand better than anyone else in the world. Plus, having people like them meeting the survivors, walking around freely surrounded by civilians who don't have their hands on their guns, is going to be extremely good for them because they'll be able to feel as though they could be looking at their future. A future free from their programming, from what was done to them, living freely and happily in a place surrounded by people like them who understand them.

Hi Mim,, I wondered if you or any of your followers have words/advice on going long-distance with a beloved partner. I have to move far away from my love of 9 years(!) to attend my dream PhD program and we won't be able to reunite for another 3 years while he finishes his schooling. Every day takes me closer to the move and has me more heartbroken even though this is what I want and I believe we can make it through. Any words of comfort from the soracities community is so welcome and needed. <3

I have no experience with long distance relationships so there really isn't much advice I can give, but what I can tell you anon (if you haven't already) is: plan, plan, plan!!! Long distance is always going to be difficult and there's no way around that difficulty so one of your best bets is for both of you to work as hard as you can to maintain open, attentive, consistent, and deeply honest communication.

Figure out how much communication you need and what kind you value most--what about your partner? What are the ways you can make time and space for these despite the distance? Then sit down with your partner and work out a schedule for phone calls, video calls, daily (or weekly) check-ins etc and, most importantly: hold each other (and yourselves) accountable to them. Set out a game plan for how you will tackle conflicts over long distance: if you both are having packed school weeks, or feel you really need to talk about something, agree on a code word that says "I know you are busy but I desperately need you to make some time for this issue / for me" and then agree on a timeframe in which the other person will address it.

For example, you can schedule it so that you both ensure you have at least one weekly catch-up, and one fun date, on separate days that you always keep to: if you can manage something extra, great, but if not: have a baseline minimum you both honour alongside your commitments to your work and education and daily lives (you can even just have a study date where you both do your work together via video call)--your dates can be anything: you can do a weekly movie night with Hyperbeam or Teleparty (or visit the cinema on the same day to watch the same film and then call each other to talk about it), if it's feasible, take a walk together when you're on the phone and make a whole thing of it: pick a nice scenic spot in your respective places, plan your route, let the other know what it's like where you are, bake something together over video call, etc. Whatever routines and rituals you had together, see if there is a way you can carry them over remotely over the next 3 years, or even vary the things you do to make up for the fact that it is remote for now.

I think one of the hardest things to contend with is the sudden lack of physical proximity to each other, and the loneliness that follows especially if you see people around you in relationships having that, so I would also recommend finding stand-ins for that physical closeness. You said you won't be able to reunite until your partner finishes his own schooling--I don't know if that means quick weekend visits are out of the question (either through sheer distance or financially) but if they aren't, absolutely see if you can plan a visit either from your end or his. If not then maybe, along with your virtual dates, write each other letters, or send each other small tokens, postcards, silly little missives, anything to offer a physical piece of yourself to each other but also to remind the other that you're thinking of them and missing them and they can physically touch and hold those thoughts in a physical form.

I can absolutely understand your fear, anon, and it is definitely not easy and incredibly daunting, but I think it is something beautiful that you have had 9 (9!!!!!) wonderful years with your love already and the fact that you are brave enough to take this leap for your own dreams AND have such faith and trust in your relationship and its strength is a true testament to what you have built together over these years. Quite literally the largest of the arcane academies, acting as an "all are welcome" paramilitary institution for mages of all sorts. It is revered for its music program, particularly its marching band. - the description that would be on Corlux's in-game info card if it were canon

A Very Brief Background

According to legend, Corlux Key Seminary was originally opened by a collective of special forces mages led by a wizard of power so fantastic that he could supposedly create living worlds out of paint and paper. These mages guarded their kingdom of light with such ferocity that they were referred to as 'living locks', which was fairly ironic considering their weapons were shaped to resemble keys.

With that said, however, the lead mage truly believed that people of all talents and backgrounds were welcome to their land if their hearts were 'pure'; after all, unconventional talents had been proved to win the day over and over in the long lens of history. As such, Corlux Key Seminary was created in honor of that wizard and his friends by offering a variety of programs for students to harness their skills.

Tidbits & Trivia

Night Raven College and Royal Sword Academy can bicker about having the power; Corlux Key Seminary is content to boast about having the numbers. There are a grand total of twenty dormitories across the entire campus, though the joke among students is that there are actually twenty-three. This is due to some of the dorms having gotten a rebranding of name some years back, but people will use the new and old names interchangeably. It isn't uncommon for freshmen to be deliberately told to retrieve something from one of the dorms using the old name for it so that they will wander around for hours trying to find it.

Corlux Key Seminary is located in the far north of the Shaftlands; not exactly neighbors with Harveston, but close enough that the more troublesome youth of the town are threatened with being sent there if they don't shape up.

Corlux's inclusivity even goes as far as the dress code; as long as the students are wearing academy-issued attire and it's properly clean, they're golden as far as the rules go. This is actually a selling point for students who are exploring their gender identity, or even just for people who want to wear quote-unquote 'gender-specific attire' just for the sake of comfort. Rather recently, one student even turned down their invite to Royal Sword Academy specifically because 'they don't allow guys to wear skorts/skirts there; hard pass'.

As Corlux is currently under the reign of a fae, all students are granted protection from minor cantrips and spells by what is referred to as a 'pulchra osculum' ('beautiful kiss'). This is a TWST-fan!verse term created by myself which I will explain at a later date, but the basic idea is that it's a minor protection spell.

Corlux is officially listed as paramilitary due to their structure not being fully comparable to a traditional military school, though there is a kind of 'honors program' sponsored by official military institutes from across the nations to help those with serious aspirations for the armed forces. The way to distinguish those students from the general populace is an armband emblazed with a specific crown modeled after a symbol worn by a legendary 'Keywielder', as the military-aspiring students are called.

Even if students do not choose to enlist into any kind of military service upon graduation, they will receive top-of-the-line training for a variety of careers. As mentioned previously, one of the school's most famed aspects is their marching band that has seen several of its former members go on to be professional musicians of some kind.

Play around with the idea of what a TWST military school would look like while also having a bit of flexibility for fun

Give the girlies/girlie-identifying folks of TWST a place to be educated since there don't seem to be a whole lot of those in canon (at least from what I've seen)

Place a few extra Kingdom Hearts references into TWST (you mean to tell me that four of the Great Seven are the villains of the Princesses of Hearts, with one of those Seven even being Maleficent herself, because of sheer coincidence? I think NOT, friend!)

Because this is a fanverse for a piece of media, which means we live by the credence 'I did it because I could' xD

The Alabama high school band director shocked with a stun gun after a football game last week in front of dozens of students was "just doing my job," he said Wednesday.

Police officers in Birmingham told Johnny Mims, the band director at Minor High School, to tell his band to stop playing about 20 minutes after the end of a football game on Sept. 14. The band was in the midst of playing music for a "fifth quarter."

Body camera footage released by police shows Mims continuing to conduct the approximately 145-member band through the end of a song. Then a physical altercation with officers ensued before he was shocked three times.

"The things that happened at that game should have never happened," Mims told reporters Wednesday. "The students should have never seen me Tased.

Mims was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment, police. According to police, he "pushed" an officer during the altercation and had to be shocked to be subdued.

He denied pushing, hitting or attempting to strike an officer and said the force he was met with was "excessive."

"My client never struck or even remotely attempted to strike an officer," Juandalynn Givan, a state representative and Mims' attorney, told USA TODAY on Wednesday.

Givan said she and the Alabama Education Association, which represents teachers and other public school employees, were pursuing legal avenues to achieve accountability for the actions of police. They are also pushing for Mims to go back to work after he was placed on administrative leave while the school district reviews the incident.

Video shows officers telling director to stop the band

Footage released by police and additional footage provided to USA TODAY by Givan shows officers approached Mims as he directed the still playing band in a set of bleachers. Loud music drowned out much of the conversation, but an officer can be heard telling Mims to stop the band from playing.

"Get out of my face," Mims told an officer.

Mims told the officer they were wrapping up their last song. Mims continued to conduct the students while several officers stood in front of him and told him the stadium needed to be cleared.

At one point, an officer told Mims he would go to jail.

Mims gave two thumbs up and said, "That’s cool." Soon after, the stadium lights were turned off, and the band continued to play the remaining few bars of their song, at which point Mims motioned for the performance to conclude.

"Put him in handcuffs," an officer said.

Why was Mims arrested?

Mims was then pulled from the conductor's stand, Givan told USA TODAY. Much of the physical confrontation between Mims and police was obstructed from the camera's view. Police said Mims refused to put his hands behind his back and pushed an officer.

Givan said none of the footage she has seen shows Mims striking out at an officer.

As Mims was shocked with the stun gun three times, many of the onlookers, which included students, were screaming, the video showed.

It's not clear why officers were instructing Mims to wrap up the band and clear out of the stadium. Mims told reporters he and the opposing school's band director had agreed beforehand to play a fifth quarter after the game. He said once the lights went off, it was also hard for him to direct the band and officers standing between him and the students "interfered" with his ability to follow their orders.

"I was just doing my job as an educator, instructing the band, allowing the band to play and, again, just celebrating the achievements of our football team, cheerleader squad and our band program," he said.

Givan also told USA TODAY that officers did not inform Mims he was under arrest until later and cursed at him.

Legal experts told USA TODAY it's not clear whether his arrest was lawful. He should have complied with officers' demands and set a better example for the students, said Brian Higgins, a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. But Birmingham defense attorney Victor Revill said it's important to consider whether Mims had a legal right to be in the stadium at the time.

Arrest has impacted students, community, lawyer says

Givan and members of the Alabama Education Association said Wednesday the arrest and use of a Taser on Mims has "traumatized" students and impacted the community.

"This was unacceptable. It's an embarrassment to the state, it's an embarrassment to the city," Givan said.

She said Mims sustained injuries and has seen a doctor. He is experiencing numbness and tingling as a result of being shocked, she said.

"He’s emotionally distraught over this," Givan said.

In extended body camera footage provided by Givan, an officer leading Mims away in handcuffs can be heard telling him that his actions would make students less trusting of police in the future while Mims insists it was the police that escalated the situation.

Givan said she is pushing for the officers to be put on administrative leave.
