Dr. Ratio catches the eye of an aeon, except its not the one he thought it would be.

The Glowswather and The Keeper of Fate tread two similar paths. The two aeons are somehow able to coexist and are one of the few examples of such similar paths existing for so long together. Just what keeps these two aeons from consuming eachother?

Oh to be so useless at times. It was an envy that Fuli happened to be so unaware of just how unintelligent THEY were. What use was knowledge and recording happenings if you hardly understood them, let alone knew what to do with them? Perserving memories would not be useful if they did not comprehend it correctly, if they did not understand nature properly.

You would consider yourself superior to Fuli. Your grand libraries held knowledge thought lost and forbidden to time. Memories that even Fuli did not have. The benefits of being one of the first to be born. It was an added bonus was that you knew what to do with such knowledge and understood why it all of it was useful. Though memory and knowledge go hand in hand, one does not rely of the other.

Nous may constantly question, but THEY often did have have answers. They were not a library, just a calculator that had so many questions. Many that you wanted answers to. But, it was often difficult to find those answers if the common maggots did not recieve education. How were they to advance if they did not know the knoledge? Why did so few truly teach and continued to learn?

It was a pity so few chose to share common knowledge. The Genius society prefered to hoard and not help the common folk push themselves forward. They kept themselves locked away in their towers. How could you gain more knowledge to store away if the common ones didn't learn and be pushed foward?

The ghosts of creatures that perished in you domain maintained your library well and your keepers did not have to visit certain areas often. It allowed you plenty of free time to gaze at the universe. Books filled themselves with knowledge automatically before being flung into odd directions. But as you absorbed knowledge, something caught your eyes.

The violet haired man you have been watching was interesting. Incredibly intelligent and yet willing to share his knowledge? It was rare for one to be like that.

You studied the specimen known as Veritas Ratio for a long while. The decision was easy to make. Now to pay your specimen a visit.

If there was one way Veritas Ratio were to describe his state of being right now, it was horrifically ill. His body ached and his mind was slow. It hurt to even think. He had missed his first class by the time he managed to rejoin the land of wakefulness the first time and he had missed his last by the time he woke up again.

His dreams were plagued by odd creatures and the heavy stench of ink. Every time he drifted off he was drug back into the vast labyrinth of libraries. It was no different now.

Thick pools of multi colored inks sorround the dark wooden floor he woke on. Both sky and land were covered by inky colors.

“Hmm, it appears your body was unprepared for my, “ The voice paused before dragging out its next word, “power.“

He didn't, no couldn't, speak back. It was taking everything to try and sit up of the cool floor. His throat felt like it was closed tight.

“Forgive my carelessness. Most I've taken on do not have such fragile, fleshy bodies.“ The wood was quickly overtaken by ink and eyes stared up at him from where he sat. “This library is open to you now.“ Ink was crawling up his arms. “Do make good use of it, Veritas Ratio. You are interesting.“ The feeling of panicked helpness took over as ink forced it way up his throat. He was drowning in the bitter taste.

He couldn't do anything but drown as the aeon watched him.

“Perhaps I should find a more,” The aeon seemed to search for the word, “careful way to bring you here, hmm?“ The voice inquired as Ratio was finally released until nothingness.

“Veritas. Veritas dear wake up.“ He could hear his mother's voice underneath all the water. Wait, his mother?

Ratio opened his eyes groggily, he was in a hospital room.

The nurses in the room skittered about. His mother stood next to him. He still tasted the ink in his throat. He still felt like he was drowning in it.

The nurses spoke around and to him. He couldn't hear them over the muddiness in his skull. The nurse said something to his mother and then left. He closed his eyes again momentarily, trying to clear his mind. He felt the faint sensation of something tightening on his spine.

“Are you awake still?“ His mother's voice broke the silence in the room. She held a cup of water and when he opened his eyes he took it. The liquid was like a thousand needles entering his throat, yet it was refreshing.

“You've been unconscious for days, and that's just when I found you.“ She explained without his prompting. “The doctors are unsure off what you came down with, but you are getting better.“

They spoke for some time.

Days blended together before he was finally sent home. His mother would be leaving soon. Flowers and cards sat on the dining room table neatly. The school and his students heard about his illness and wanted him to get well, his mother had said.

He only noticed something strange on his back when he went to bathe. On his spine like a tattoo was the notorious mark of the Aeon of Fate. It dug into his skin and the ink moved and wiggled like a snake. Only emanators bared the mark and from what little knowledge remained of it, it was a sign of worthiness. An all access pass to knowledge forgotten and forbidden.

A one way ticket to insanity, some said.

The dreams weren't dreams then.

Laying down for bed that same night he was dragged back into the libraries.

“Back again, I see. Unwilling it seems to be. You will learn to control your passage here, Veritas.“ The voice from before began again. Ratio was standing this time. “Go on explore, I will not stop you.“

The aeon's very aura was overwhelming, he had so many questions and yet he felt like he couldn't think of any. Forcing himself up, he wandered to the nearest shelf. If he couldn't speak then he would find something to read. He would be a fool to waste this opportunity.

Throwing himself into books involving physics and mathmatical sciences eased his overwhelmed mind. He even managed to find a theory that may prove some of his other work! The overwhelming aura was slowly becoming a background weight the more he studied. The distraction was working well.

His weeks were spent teaching, reasearching, writing, and publishing his findings. When he slept he gained more control over when he entered the Sanctum of Knowledge and felt himself ease in the aeon's prescence.

“You interest me so. It is not often I find myself so infatuated with mortal life. Yet here you are in my Sanctum, learning so that you may pass on that knowledge.“ You had spoken to him one day ehen he asked why he was chosen. “I've seen your work in trying to rid this universe of the uneducated and ignorant. You've even got those things called scholarships so that those who are poor in fianances may learn. That, Vertias, is why I chose you to freely access my libraries.“

He watched as your many inky limbs tighte their hold around him and began to crush him. Thousands of eyes watched him carefully.

“Go now, do my bidding and push the rest of these lambs foward. I require more knowledge for my libraries.“ You allowed your limbs to crush your emanator into thick ink. He would return soon, whole and well. He would bring more knowledge with him and would spread it. You were already gaining results from this project. Yes, you would keep and close eye on Vertias Ratio. He was quickly becoming your favorite emanator.

Ortho wakes up as a projection in STYX. His mama tells him that his body was completely destroyed, but they managed to salvage his core. She also informed him that his two dogs were also killed, which made Ortho sad because he was hoping to return safe and sound with them.

Mama Shroud: "Once the magic domain is lifted, we'll definitely salvage their parts. Then mama will fix them up right as rain."

Then Ortho apologizes to his parents. It seems he feels like he's been a burden. Mama cuts him off though.

Mama Shroud: "What are you saying! As long as you're safe and sound, nothing else matters."

Papa Shroud: "Welcome home, Ortho. We're glad you're back."

Ortho: "... Mm. I'm home."

And they hugged Ortho's projection. Omfg, my heart, my heart...

Then Ortho remembers his mission. What happened to the anchors? They tell him that Ortho fulfilled his mission, and that the data is now handed over to the analysis team. Malleus' domain is multi-layered and incredibly complex.

"It reminds me of Subject F's... I mean, the ancient magic casted on Grim."

"However, with Briar Valley's cooperation, we were quickly able to understand how the spell was constructed."

Ortho celebrates. What wonderful results! But then papa Shroud mutters the opposite; this is actually terrible.

Ortho: "Eh? Why? Didn't you manage to uncover how Malleus Draconia's magic domain works?"

"Malleus Draconia needs to voluntarily let up the domain himself. Because there's a 99.8% chance that the domain is indestructible, unless the caster himself is eliminated."

Mama Shroud further explains that within the domain, even reality itself twists in favor of Malleus' wishes. Even if you take all the strength of every powerful magic cannon in the world to break the barrier, once inside, you're still completely powerless.

Mama Shroud: "We might stand a chance if we could deploy 100,000 Cerberus Gears at once, but..."

Mama Shroud: "But before mama could make a hundred thousand autopilot Cerberus Gears, the entire world would be swallowed up by the domain first."

Papa Shroud adds that everyone within the domain has their minds completely entrapped and are stuck in their own dreams. The domain is holding their souls hostage. There, "dreams" are "reality". So,

"If you forcefully destroy the magic domain, there's a possibility that everyone trapped within will have their souls destroyed as well."

Ortho liken this to a large server where if destroyed, then all data within are destroyed as well.

"In other words, "Persuade Malleus in some way or another, have him release his domain, and set everyone free.""

"... That's the only solution."

Night had fallen in Homura Akemi's pocket dimension. Time moved differently here, Noriko had established this before. It had been 46 hours since the... "object"... Noriko was after made it through the barrier. To Homura, it was only 12 hours ago. They walked from the abandoned chapel on the outskirts of the city, into the city itself.

It wasn't quite a Labyrinth, but this place did serve a master. The entirety of Mitakihara City, recreated and built into itself, over and over, until Homura was satisfied with the results. Even as Noriko entered this realm, she was on the outskirts, not of the city, but of reality itself. Unfinished shapes, still in the process of being built, all by Homura's mind. Managing an entire realm of existence, the people in it, and an army of familiars... Homura may have stolen a great power, but she was still only human.

She must be under a terrible strain.

Noriko contemplated that this was why she and the self-declared Demon were walking to their destination, and not being teleported there by some extraordinary means. They walked in silence, which suited the two of them just fine. It was in their nature, the both of them, to brood. Noriko stayed a few steps behind, let Homura lead the way.

Though, Maybe, she thought, this would be a good time to probe Homura for information. While Noriko was here looking for an object of great importance that smuggled itself away into this world, she knew, sooner or later, she would have to return, for the Incubator that granted Homura and her friends magic in the first place. Kyubey. Asset retrieval and light reconnaissance. She can multi-task.

She had to tread carefully though, as Homura had domain over this world. Noriko was at her mercy. Playing nice was key. She cleared her throat.

"Sooo..." Noriko started. Before she could continue, her attention was broken by a loud animalistic screetch above them. An bird unlike any previously known flew overhead, toward the direction they were heading. She could hear Homura whispering, muttering to herself, conversing with her familiars, maybe. Did they have some kind of telepathic communication?

"Are you alright?" Noriko asked, she walked a little faster to catch up.

Homura spoke firmly and directly to Noriko, "Your object is in Reberu Ward park. It seems to have made a sizeable crater. My soldiers are securing it." She was calm and clear, no strain in her voice. She tilted her head up to the bird in the sky. "Liese is going on ahead."

"Liese..." Noriko repeated with some awe, her head also tilted up to watch the bird continue forward. Homura's ability to micromanage... well, everything, was amazing. For this mission, Noriko was given only limited insight into this world. Homura's original... team, for lack of a better word... left placid and content. The Magical Girl sentries, keeping an eye on them. The creatures known as familiars; Remnants of a time when Homura was something other, now custodians of this world, serving Homura directly, if only with some pushback.

"It may not see very well, but I can." Homura added. She turned her head slightly, back to Noriko, to get a glimpse of her. Noriko couldn't help but notice her extravagant earring... and the threatening sound of her words.

"Mm." Noriko made a noise to indicate understanding.

"The sooner you get what you came here for, the sooner you can return to the world outside Mitakihara City." Homura's attention was turned forward again. "How is the rest of this universe?"

"Hmm... fine?" Noriko wasn't sure how to answer.

"I left it mostly as she did. My immediate attention is required here."

Noriko didn't respond. She was cursing herself in her mind for her lack of social skills. How was she supposed to pry any information discreetly if she struggled to hold a simple conversation?

It was shocking that, somehow, Homura was the chattier one of the two. But now, even she had gone silent. Together they walked through Mitakihara City, beautifully lit in the night, but strangely liminal. Streets empty of cars or people. Quiet.

"I made way for our arrival." Homura spoke up, answering a question that didn't exist. Almost as if she knew Noriko was perplexed by the isolation.

It was not long before they reached Reberu Ward. There, Noriko noticed something she hadn't before. While Homura and her walked down the street, there were soldiers standing guard on both sides of them, on the sidewalks. Not human soldiers. Definitely familiars. They looked like Homura in red glasses, but made up of simpler shapes. Unnatural. The soldiers Homura sent to secure the ward for them, she guessed.

"This crater..." Noriko started to ask, waiting to continue. "...how exactly did the artifact... arrive?"

"It did not fall from the sky, if that's your insinuation. It simply appeared, and disintegrated physical matter in a radius around it." Homura said. She touched her earring as she spoke.

Homura's attention was suddenly stolen, her head snapped to face something that wasn't there, or at least, Noriko couldn't see.

"How-" She was about to ask thin air with a raised voice, when she cut herself off.

"Trouble?" Noriko asked. Homura nodded and together they both broke into a sprint toward the park only several more blocks ahead of them.

The park they arrived at was an oasis of nature in the midst of dense urban city. But the true oasis was the crater, it was filled to brim with water. Around this artificial lake were Homura's soldiers, sliced to pieces, some still alive and twitching, others fading into black smoke before their very eyes. Noriko could imagine the ringed spears around the crater, defending it until their arrival. This was a massacre. The object was nowhere to be found. Who could have done this?

"Lotte." Homura said. One of the broken soldiers, the most intact and closest to them, turned shakily to look up at Homura. "Report."

It did not respond, however. Or it did, and not in a way Noriko could hear. It slowly started to look down, and became unresponsive. "Damn." Homura said, frustration building.

"What did it say?" Noriko asked.

"Nothing." Homura answered. There was a giggle, from what sounded like children, coming from outside the park. Those Clara Dolls, presumably laughing at their misfortune? Homura ignored this, and looked up. "Liese." The bird from before, the Liese, was circling.

It cawed and started to fly in a direction. "The river!"

Both girls began running again, Homura leading the way. As they neared their new destination, their shoes splashed puddles in the road. Puddles with no rainfall.

They made it to a river that ran through town. For some reason, the Liese was leading them here. It bawked one last time and dove into the water, then just disappeared. Homura didn't seem alarmed by this. It brought them where it needed to go.

"She couldn't have- she couldn't." Homura muttered as they came to a stop at the edge of the land.

She?

"What do you mean by sh-" Before Noriko could finish, the water in front of them erupted into a geyser, reaching high into the sky. A symphony of splashing water and sloshing waves. Mist whipped around them, and though she had to squint, she could make out a figure.. coming out of the water! A girl, just like them. Exactly like them.

Prefect Luna(or just regular ramshackle student, she doesn’t care for positions of leadership in multi-yuu-niverses)!

The woman who was so calm, regal, and cold(although slightly frazzled, it seemed) at the entrance ceremony. Yeah, most people wouldn’t be able to compare that to how she acts now.

Luna comes from Lumaria! Where the fuck is that? Who fucking knows! All people know is it’s an entirely different world.

Luna’s known for her loud and playful personality, crude remarks and always being seen with a smile. She’s known to either sleep in “boring”(mathematics, history, etc.) classes, while she’s far ahead of the curve in the rest(flight, alchemy, etc.)!

Coming from a different world results in Luna being an entirely different race, either entirely different magical capabilities.

✨She was a fairy✨

Literally. Luna is a fairy(which is different to the fae of this world)! This is made quite obvious from her glittery skin(no, not like on twilight, I’ll kill you) and the moon and star markings on her face(and body, although those are hidden under her clothes). Her wings? You do know asking a fairy to show you their wings is the equivalent of asking a woman to flash you her boobs?

Luna has domain over both nature and the stars. She can control plants and space magic things(wow anime sfx). Although she can’t control animals, they have a natural liking to her!

Fairies don’t have blot, so what’s their drawback? It’s different for everyone! For Luna, it’s both the nature of her spells and her emotions. Her combat magic can be very volatile(especially because she never got to practice it as a child), which often results in her burning herself(or that one time she got frost bite…). On the other hand, experiencing intense emotions causes the plants around to react. In moments of intense positive emotions, flowers bloom(or when directed at a person, flowers will bloom underneath their feet), while on the opposite end, when experiencing intense negative emotions, they wilt and wither. Luna doesn’t commonly experience anger, but when she does, it results in an inability to control her powers, which results in a LOT of overgrowth.

Although she’s quite powerful, she’s dumb. She has street smarts, and that’s it. She relies on the smarter people to tell her what to do!

Back to the subject of her classes— despite have an entirely different magic, she does quite well in magic classes! She’s managed to kick quite a few asses in sparring class ;).

She’s also able to manipulate wind, hence why she can participate in flight class.

Grim

Luna fucking hates that cat, always dragging her into trouble!! But… Sevens, she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t attached. Grim’s the closest thing to family she’s ever had. He might be an asshole, but he does comfort her(albeit poorly) during nightmares, so she won’t object to being his hench-fairy.

“Today’s a nice day to relax. The sun is shining, the— … Sevens dammit, Grim did you piss off Housewarden Rosehearts again?!”

Ace

KYS. Luna hates this motherfucker. She “bullies” him every chance she gets. No, she wouldn’t die for him! They’re not friends at all!! This guy is always dragging her into trouble and he’s a complete asshole and—

“… seriously? Again? I can’t go suck up to Rosehearts every time you get collared, space-y Ace-y.”

Deuce

Better than Ace! Deuce is one of the few people who knew at first glance not to fuck around and find out(mama raised him right!!✊✊✊). They have a mutual respect for one another(even if Deuce is dragged into fights by Luna). They share a braincell, they’re both dumbasses!!!!

Kalim

The girl needs the sunshine in her life. Her and Kalim are besties!!! He knows how to go about life! Who has time to be pessimistic when life is so short? Hell yeah let’s party all day— wait, how many people are going to be there…?

“Kalim, Kalim, Kalim, Kalim! Did you want to study together— another party? Sevens above, you’re gonna kill Jamil… no, ‘course I’m down!”

Epel

Apple boy!!! They share a lot of interests! Luna worked as a farmer for a short time as a child(Epel was horrified to learn of her working conditions). She absolutely detests how Vil tells him to act like someone he’s not(even if Vil has REALLY good fashion advice…), and she can relate to being underestimated due to her looks(although Luna is happy to use that to her advantage). And she snatches apples at every chance she gets.

“Apples? Nope, haven’t seen ‘em. Grim might’ve taken them, the little rascal— hey, i told you fairies can’t lie! I’m telling the truth, I’m an absolute angel! I wouldn’t steal! Those myths about fae being tricksters are LIES.”

These two didn’t even meet at school at first. They met on fucking pokemon go. there was a raid during school and they were the only two losers playing. Then they became friends online, and one day othro’s just like🧍‍♂️”brother do you seriously not recognize that first year’s voice?”

TLDR: Luna's an orphan, left in the Lumarian slums, eventually adopted into a noble family, and then killed for being a fairy, then isekai'd.

THE LONG VERSION--

Luna's home world is one where the magical and mythical are hunted. Fae, werewolves, witches, the like.

Being a fairy, she wasn't taken to kindly(ive been watching too much south park...). Her earliest memories are being called 'pointy', or dodging rocks. The only positive memory of her childhood was when she learned how to glamour herself to look like a human, resulting in no more prejudice(yippee!!!)!

Luna spent all her time five years old and up hiding herself. acting as normal as possible, as to not draw suspicion. eventually, the poor girl managed to get adopted into nobility for her "looks"(glamour) at fifteen. The green eyed auburn haired girl was a beauty, after all!

She took to learning how to be a lady well, and at fifteen, she had her debutante ball! Alas-- Luna was known as beautiful, but cruel. She'd laugh at those lower than her, taking every opportunity to torment others. After all, these people don't know how lucky they have it. This is the one thing she really CAN do. Repressing herself has left the girl bitter, after all.

Eventually, baby Luna gets an engagement to a fairy hunter. Ironic, no? She's not very excited for it, but it'll help keep up the ruse.

... until when she's seventeen, she's outed at a ball.

Luna had been working on a gown for many a months, and wore it to that ball. And then someone spilled a drink on her. The result was a VERY pissed off fairy. Luckily for them, there was a fairy hunter nearby!

The last thing she remembers was staring down an iron crossbow bolt.

She was on guard the entirety of the entrance ceremony, keeping herself distant and as small as possible, because a girl like her is capable of no harm! Once she realizes this is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT WORLD, that the people here don't hunt her kind-- everything is off.

The loud, playful girl beneath comes out to play on the first day(the swap terrified Grim) of school, and the rest is canon :D.

Glossary of Terms & Explanations often used on the Blog:

Vacosian: Vacosians are a near-extinct natural born species of Warriors that made their home in the Ultimate Void, on planet Voidal. A majority of the race was exterminated by the God of Destruction Cerveze, however a handful managed to survive, rendering the race close to extinction. They play a cental role in the Cyverse metaseries, where it is revealed that Ruby and Blair are Vacosians who were sent to Remnant. The best way to describe a Vacosian is to think of them as Outer Gods in humanoid forms. Sometimes they have tails and horns too, but it depends from individual to individual.

Dracontine: Dracontines are a natural born species of highly adaptive warriors that were known among the earliest race to have draconic roots, if not, the earliest known trace that had direct ancestry from Primordial Dragons, before the subspecies division of draconic races had occurred. The Dracontines have been relatively under the radar for a good while after the Draconomachy, in which the total population of the Dracontines took a steep decline. However, at present time, the Dracontine race seem to sit very comfortably, with replenished populations, both in Universe 1 and 12, each residing in their own version of Planet Dracorex on both Universes.

Super Vacosian: Super Vacosian, occasionally known as Ascended Warrior, is a legendary transformation unique to the Vacosian race of both the first and 12th universes. It is the signature transformation of the Vacosians relocated to Remnant, all of whom have been able to achieve the transformation, but was famously first awakened by Ruby Rose during her battle with the evil Fall Maiden, Cinder Fall.

Explanation: It’s why some muses have multiple FCs. On that note, they’re not shapeshifters, but rather think of it like Super Saiyan, just changing hair & eye colors.

Universe 12 Kaioshins: The Kaioshins of Universe 12 are the four divine protectors responsible for maintaining balance across their respective quadrants. Purple Heart, the North Kaioshin, is a calm strategist focused on cosmic order. Black Heart, the South Kaioshin, takes a more direct, forceful approach, often resolving issues through combat. Green Heart, the West Kaioshin, is connected to nature and seeks harmony, intervening only when necessary. White Heart, the East Kaioshin, is known for her fiery temper and battle enthusiasm, yet remains deeply protective of her quadrant. Together, they ensure the stability of Universe 12.

Universal Government: The Universal Government (UG) rules over Universe 12 with absolute authority, led by The Boss, UMI, followed by the 5 Celestial Dragons, the Fleet Admiral, and a strict military hierarchy. The UG governs countless planets and species, enforcing its control through a centralized system that regulates trade, taxes, and resources. Its military is vast, with Admirals and Vice-Admirals crushing rebellion and ensuring compliance across the universe. While the UG ensures peace and order, it does so at the cost of personal freedoms, ruthlessly suppressing dissent to maintain its grip on power throughout Universe 12.

God-Key: God Key (or Grand Key/Divine Key when translated) are ten tools/weapons created by Azathoth, that when brought together, would allow entrance into her domain and  ████,  while  granting each of the 10 wielders  ██████.

Blanchimont Kingdom: The Blanchimont Kingdom, ruled by King Blair, is a vast, continent-sized realm located on Remnant. The kingdom thrives on a balance of tradition and progress, with a strong emphasis on military strength, magical innovation, and a diverse economy. Major cities like Montclair (the capital), Valeford, and Ironvale are hubs of trade, magic, and industry, while the Wyvern Spine Mountains and other natural landmarks provide both resources and defense. Though the kingdom follows the voluntary worship of the Sun and Moon Gods, Blair herself is secular, focusing on personal strength and fairness in her rule. The kingdom’s military is a blend of knights, mages, and specialized forces, all reflecting Blair’s martial prowess and strategic brilliance.

Remnant Dragon Balls: The Remnant Dragon Balls are wish orbs created by the Guardian of Remnant, Kami and were later enhanced upon request by said creator after Ruby asked her for an upgrade. These balls are mainly used on Remnant and were the first type of Dragon Balls used in the metaseries. They have played a major role and impact in the series, being used by a variety of characters, including main protagonist Ruby.

Cosmology: The Cyverse is an expansive universe that draws inspiration from a variety of beloved franchises—such as the Cthulhu Mythos, RWBY, the Dragon Ball series, and the SCP Foundation—infused with my own creative twist. These diverse elements come together to form a distinct and cohesive narrative that stands on its own. Originally, the concept began as a role-playing blog on Tumblr under the name phantxmthief, later evolving into Ancicntforged. Over time, the characters and their stories have captivated an audience, with many eager to explore the life of the Cyverse’s central protagonist, Ruby Rose, along with other key figures. Now, let’s delve into the world of the Cyverse!

Zora Cultural Differences

Yona canonically comes from a different domain than Hyrule's Zora's Domain but in true TotK-fashion does little to no elaboration on what her domain is like or her role or position within it, with us only learning that she's Sidon's childhood friend and his fiancee. With her character not existing at all whatsoever in BotW, having no mentions in memories, flashback scenes, dialogue, or diary entries, or even scenes where we get to see Sidon's childhood, that means nearly everything about her origins is left completely blank. And the one thing I hate more than a disrespected female character is a barely-written disrespected female character.

Yona's domain is further east in the Akkalan Sea, and takes about a week of travel time to get to Hyrule's Domain. Her ocean climate is tropical, and is reflected in the marine life the zora of that domain emulate and resemble

Yona and Muzu are both from the same domain, both being manta-emulating zora

When the great flood swept hyrule, most zora perished in the illusory waves. A small population survived with the help of Valoo on what would become Dragon's Roost Island, but an even smaller population managed to escape beyond the borders of the ocean. This population would slowly recover, and post Wind Waker began to thrive. This population of zora would begin to migrate outwards and diversify as they adapted to their new ecosystems, and some would eventually make their way back to Hyrule once the waters receded, establishing themselves as what would become Sidon's Domain.

The Zora are fairly consistently long lived, and new zora hatch from eggs laid in clutches. Your average individual zora will typically only have kids once or twice in their multi century lifetime

With these circumstances, you'd want to find some means of adaptation to help ensure the survival of the next generation, and each domain adapts to their ecosystems in their own unique ways

Yona's domain is built into and alongside a massive barrier reef, fed by the myriad currents flowing into their tropical ocean. Zora here tend to be brightly colored and varied in their marine animal appearances, with zora resembling nudibranches, mantas and other rays, and a plethora of fish types.

In return for this feeding, the myriad spirits help guide the Zora to the horizon line where the ocean meets the sky, and cross over into the heavens where the light of Hylia can glint off their scales and provide light and guidance to their relatives down below

North Korea has issued a fresh nuclear warning to the U.S. over its activities on the Korean Peninsula, interpreting them as rehearsals for an armed conflict.

The statement, issued by Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry, was in response to ongoing bilateral military exercises involving South Korea and the U.S.

On Monday, state-run news agency KNCA released a statement from the North Korean Foreign Ministry taking aim at exercise "Ulchi Freedom Shield," which it called "large-scale provocative joint military exercises."

"The current exercises, including a drill simulating a nuclear confrontation with the DPRK, bring to light clearer the provocative nature of Ulji Freedom Shield as a prelude to a nuclear war," the ministry said.

Newsweek has contacted the United States Indo-Pacific Command for comment on North Korea's claims.

On Monday, the US began its annual joint military drills with South Korea, with this year's exercises focused on improving their capabilities to deal with growing threats posed by North Korea.

The drills, set to continue through August 29, will involve over 40 types of field exercises, as well as drills intended to simulate missile attacks, GPS jamming and cyberattacks.

According to a spokesperson for South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, quoted by Reuters, the alliance's bilateral exercises will also "further strengthen its capability and posture to deter and defend against weapons of mass destruction."

However, Pyongyang said that these defensive exercises resemble the historical behavior of countries preparing for conflict, and accused the two states of rehearsing a "beheading operation" against the Kim Jong Un regime.

"It is clearly recorded in the world history of wars that in preparation for a war, aggressor states followed a series of procedures, including adoption of war policy and military operation plan for its execution, advance deployment of forces, ceaseless simulated and actual war drills and war provocation," the ministry's statement read.

North Korea responded to last year's Freedom Shield drills by carrying out tests of a strategic cruise missile, overseen by Kim Jong Un, according to KNCA.
