Another from @incorrect-dnd-classes of a classic with some dialog tweaks.
Paladin: You kidnapped the king? That's illegal.
Warlock: But what's more illegal; briefly inconveniencing a king or going against the will of the party?
Paladin: Kidnapping the king, Warlock.
Bard: Paladin, listen. Whatever I may think of you right now, these people are counting on you to inspire them.
Paladin: To kidnap people?
Bard: To work together!
Paladin: To kidnap people???
Rogue: If it helps, Paladin, we already decided that a royal is not 'a people'-
Paladin: It does not!

no one even goes here but my ffxiv brainrot is interacting with my tcsm brainrot again. anyway leland would be a paladin as always, who at some point gets the thancred treatment from making some kind of sacrifice and thus losing his ability to channel aether/be a true paladin. but i also think bc of that his ability to channel dynamis, or pure energy influenced by strong emotion, would be greater, and the new source of his magic. i was reading about how sometimes limit breaks can be considered a massive expulsion of dynamis energy in some cases. tank limit breaks are used to shield your party from damage so i can definitely see leland’s limit break being a strong burst of emotion that way.

Kabru enjoyer mutual. Allow me to copy paste some Kabru thoughts I had today:
Today I'm thinking about Kabru following Laios around in the epilogue chapters because he doesn't know how to not be in service to something or someone
Maybe Kabru thinks he wants to ensure a smooth transition for Melini, and the surrounding countries (which he has presumably been in), as well as a possibly elf-mother-influenced Giving So, So Many Fucks About Politics
Maybe he thinks it's about wanting to get to know Laios better, or just thinking this is the best way to secure a future for himself but.
Since Kabru was small he's wanted to put himself in service to the goal of destroying dungeons and preventing another tragedy.
Thistle [my D&D character, not dungeon lord Thistle] very much considers herself to be like. The sword-hand of her god (she's a paladin). Top ten girls that consider themselves to be a weapon
And I think Kabru is like that and I don't think he knows how to be someone outside of that.
Even a lot of his story presence is kind of like that, like with the canaries.
Kabru sees an opportunity to serve his goal of destroying dungeons and immediately pivots his alliances in order to get in good with the canaries, because they're more capable than he is of destroying the dungeon.
For Thistle, she wants to destroy monsters because this is her purpose. She's very Kabru-core tbh. She doesn't think redeemable monsters exist, and that all monsters should be cut down without hesitation.
I think Kabru also considers destroying dungeons to be his purpose.
I don't know where I'm going with this I just think it's neat
Rotating Kabru
I don't know if Laios would notice that Kabru thinks and feels like this, but I don't think it would occur to him to treat Kabru as anything other than a very intelligent person.
& I think Kabru's intelligence is to him like. Stats in an RPG this is an RPG to Kabru. In his own brain he is an NPC.
For Kabru it's not "I enjoy learning new things! I'm good at putting things together with only a few clues! I have good people skills!" it's "This character [me] has high INT, WIS and CHA. I can use them in this way to destroy the dungeon."
He's playing chess, but he's a pawn.
God I love Kabru so much. Top ten dissociative disorder + derealisation + depersonalisation + autism characters
I dont have much to add but this is such a good analysis . giggling and kicking in my bed . YESSSS. hes someone who thinks he can be of service ,,, he thinks of himself like a character ... ough... yeagh . guy whos resigned himself to a supporting role whos like im going to be the best at this job . getting a good score in #serving .

do you have any queer characters? wondering out of curiosity
Thanks for the ask! I have a number of characters who could be seen as falling under the queer umbrella, but who don't identify with the term personally. One character of mine, Imogen, experiences severe gender dysphoria but identifies as a cisgender girl, another character I have named Pal is technically aroace but doesn't concern himself with any terms for his experience, and yet another character of mine named Idris doesn't feel connected to his biological sex or any idea of gender, yet doesn't feel like identifying as agender. Their experiences are all a reflection of my own, and are influenced by my faith.
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which believes that marriage is to be employed between a man and a woman, and that one’s biological sex is a key part of their eternal identity. Another big part of the church’s doctrine is one’s divine right to choose for themself how they're going to live, and I'm a firm believer in it. So while I might not have characters who identify with the queer label, and don't necessarily agree with the term myself (EDIT: I misspoke at this bit, and you can read me correcting myself here), I've got a testimony of respecting the ways other people live their lives and believe in their own beliefs.
If you personally are queer, you have a divine right to live life as a queer-identified individual! Just like I have the right to not identify with the label despite falling under the queer umbrella myself. I respect your identity and I hope you respect mine. We're all people who want to be happy and healthy in our own lives as well as see our loved ones thrive, and we deserve to choose for ourselves how we will seek that happiness, as well as have our choices be honored.
(If you're not comfy with following me having read the stuff I've said here, don't feel guilty about unfollowing! Protect yourself and your emotional health. I know that for a lot of people, members of my church acting in un-Christlike ways (to say the least) have been damaging for them. I can say I'll never act in a knowingly unkind way to someone and am open to being corrected, but I know it's still very hard for some of the people who have gone through awful things to interact with church members. So please don't feel shy about unfollowing! You deserve to have peace of mind!)

One thing you must know about me is that I will skip 5-6 steps of boss progression to fight Slime God as early as I can and I do not plan on changing.
