Watching the water flow under the thin ice and seeing the air bubble move and connect felt like the metaphor I have been living with the last weeks.  A pause due to COVID 19 and a late spring that has had us inside and together more than usual - - which has allowed for movement and shift to happen.  Can literally feel the ice thinning and new waiting to come forth - and with it some mud we need to work through... but a promise of greener times and hopes of rebirth.

Ce qui m'étonne toujours c'est la transpiration de cette forêt qui matérialise l'air qui s'y engouffre et emplis mes narines de cette odeur de Noël , de cet humus, de cette mousse, qui poussent malgré le peu de lumière présente au sol...”

Winter solstice today and our little noble muscadine grape 🍇 is shedding its leaves for the first time. It was only a couple of months old at this time last year and didn’t do a big shedding then. It is quite marvellous to observe nature at work hunkering down for the coldness of winter followed by the rebirth of new growth in the spring.
