From the moment Tanner met you, he was hooked. It wasn’t just your looks—though he couldn’t help but think you were stunning—it was the way you carried yourself, your laugh, your intelligence. He was a goner from day one.

His friends and even his fans noticed the change. Tanner, who had always been so cool and collected, now seemed like a man whose heart beat just for you. His friends playfully teased him about it, but they were genuinely happy for him. Tanner didn’t care about the teasing; he was utterly in love with you.

One evening, Tanner was in the middle of a high-stakes game, his stream watched by thousands. The chat was lively, filled with the usual jokes, questions, and encouragement. He was fully immersed, his fingers moving rapidly across the keyboard. Then you walked in.

You tried to be quiet, not wanting to disturb him, but Tanner noticed immediately. His head snapped up, and the intense look on his face softened into one of pure adoration. He couldn’t help but smile, his eyes lighting up like a kid on Christmas morning.

“Who just walked in?!”

“T, YOU’RE GOING TO GET SHOT!”

“Tanner’s heart eyes, though!”

“He’s so whipped, LOL!”

“Plz let her come on camera”

His fans teased him endlessly, but Tanner didn’t care. You waved in his direction, a small gesture, but it was enough to make his heart race.

“Hi, guys. I just got home and was just coming in to check on you,” you admitted sheepishly, your body still not fully out of the door frame.

“Oh, hey, babe!” He grinned, spinning around in his chair to fully face you.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt,” you apologized, beginning to close the door before he called out.

“No, come back! The chat wants to say hi.” He patted his thigh, signaling for you to come sit down.

Compliantly, you walked over and gently sat on one of his legs, not wanting to block him from view. Before long, he had both arms wrapped around your torso as you sat together. Every time you touched him, it was like electricity. When you held his hand, his fingers would intertwine with yours, and he’d look at you like you were the most precious thing in the world. If you rested your head on his shoulder, he’d instantly lay his head against yours, grinning ear to ear.

The chat erupted with excitement at your appearance.

“Hey y/n!!”

“FINALLY the stream is getting good.”

“🔥🔥”

“Tanner, you lucky guy!”

“Bring her on more, please.”

After some playful banter with the audience, Tanner announced, “Alright, let’s get this win, for y/n!” The chat cheered with him. You took this as your cue to leave. Before you got up, you placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. He blushed, a deep red spreading across his face, and the chat exploded again.

“Nah why’d he get so red 😭”

“GOALS FRRR!”

“Ewww no PDA.”

“He is literally so in love.”

He chuckled, looking over at you with those heart eyes that had become so familiar. “Sorry, guys, but can you blame me?” Once you stood up, he softly grabbed your wrist before you could walk away.

“You could stay here and just lie on my bed; you’d be out of frame,” he softly suggested, clearly longing for your company.

How could you resist that face? You had a perfect view from his bed where you comfortably sat, watching Tanner's attention shift back to the audience.

He tried to focus back on the game, but his eyes kept drifting back to you, drinking in the sight of you so beautifully cuddled up on his bed.

After what felt like forever, Tanner had finally beaten the game, not without casting multiple glances and sweet smiles in your direction. As the stream drew to a close, he enthusiastically said goodbye to the audience.

Once the screen went black, his smile turned into a sigh of relief. Without hesitation, he held his arms out for you, pulling you into a hug and burying his face in your hair.

“I just wanted to lay with you so bad. It felt like forever,” he murmured, his voice filled with genuine affection.

“You were only playing for a couple of hours. Plus, I’m fine just watching you work,” you laughed, wrapping your arms around him.

“Still too long,” he replied, pulling back to look at you with those heart-melting eyes and an adoring gaze that always made you weak in the knees.

In those moments, nothing else mattered to him. All that mattered was you and the way you made him feel—like the luckiest guy in the world.

No one can replace Nicklas Backstrom for the Washington Capitals, but Dylan Strome's coming pretty close.

The 27-year-old has taken over as Alex Ovechkin's center and has assisted on all 10 of Ovechkin's goals to open the 2024-25 season as No. 8 gets closer to Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record...

Strome also credited Backstrom for his support as he's found a home in D.C. over the last two and a half seasons. The two play golf together, and have had "a little bit" of discussion here and there about being Ovechkin's center.

"He was always very supportive, very kind to me... I've heard 1,000 stories about how great of a teammate he is and I got to witness that firsthand and how good he was for the Caps and for this team and as Ovi's center," Strome said. "Obviously everyone watched Ovi's goals growing up and he assisted on the most of anyone. So lots to learn from that."

A Christmas gift

Lovely Yvonne sent me some 1990s Shannen clippings that I'll be sharing here little by little.

This undated one, from Ca. late 1993/early 1994 is from when Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling and their boyfriends Dean Factor and Nick Savalas spent the weekend at the Cabo Wabo rock'n'roll club in the tiny resort of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

The actresses went on the stage wirh rockers Sammy Hagar and Stephen Stills in this rock'n'roll club owned by the heavy metal band Van Halen.

A List of things that happened at Collision and ROH taping from this weekend.

First of all getting to be in the environment that has been created at the e-sports from this residency is phenomenal and I hope that it will happen again in the future.

Getting seats four rows back from the ring and we were still so close (that will change I'll explain) and getting to go with both my dad and cousin was so much fun

FINALLY getting to see Darby wrestle in person was amazing

The bull rope match was fucking brutal and the TV broadcast did not do it justice the crowd was so fucking over for Rosa it was awesome

So right in front of us about 30 minutes into the show there was a row of 8 seats that were empty right at the barricade and no one had shown up. So my cousin may have taken initiative and got up to the seats and by the Rush and Vance match we were all up front and no one said anything

My cousin saying to Turbo of the Outrunners that "he was like Hogan without the racism and an actual 10 incher" which Turbo totally popped for

Rush and Vance match was so much fun. Getting on tv for most of that match and me cackling like a psychopath made it loud and clear on the broadcast

Me screaming like a lunatic during swerves's match and afterward the cameraman came over to film me (thank God that didn't make the broadcast)

Swerve v Ishii was so fucking awesome

My cousin continues his years long beef with Matt Taven and Taven shouting at him "you don't have a wiener"

The Von Erichs and Sammy came over to sign my little autograph book, Sammy was so nice and it was so nice to see the Von Erichs again since I met them last year

This was the next day continuing ROH tapings

Tony coming out to say that someone wanted to say hi to the kids and me fully believing that it was gonna be Mortos until Hologram came out

I love Lance Archer. The guy in front of us had a bunch of signs and one of them saying "The murderhawk just needs a hug" and Lance coming over like he was going to give a hug only to rip up the sign

Watching Ari get beat up by Ishii made my day

Cheering so loud for Rocky Romero and him noticing me and giving me a wink (can confirm I am dead)

8 man tag match between Sammy, Dustin, and the Von Erichs v Dark Order and Undisputed Kingdom, once again keeping up the beef and telling the dark order they can do so much better than undisputed kingdom

When Harley Cameron came out and I told my dad to "get his girl"

Queen Aminata is one of the best female wrestlers right now I genuinely love her so much she is so cool

The Righteous reminding me in person that Vincent looks almost exactly like a friend of mine but with dreads

Taya v Mina was fun

Watching the Premiere Athletes at least 8 times over the course of 48 hours and continuing to make sure that we have beef

Also after the match my cousin and I were booing Tony Neese and he tried to get security to kick us out and my cousin blew Tony a kiss

Getting to see Briscoe wrestle this close was so cool and Mortos is so fucking over I love it.

And that concludes my weekend I will make another post like this next week cause I am going back to collision for the final show. This was the most fun I have had all year and something that I really hope AEW does again in the future
