Clone Wars Hospital AU Headcanons
Forgive me my shameless indulgence, but years of working in a hospital has given me Thoughts™ so just for some stupid fun: Welcome to the GHR: the Grand Hospital of the Republic! Where the Jedi are doctors, the clones are nurses, and the padawans are interns
501st battalion: Paediatrics
212th battalion: Maternity
104th battalion: Gen-Med
327th battalion: Orthopedics
Corrie Guard: Emergency Department
Headcanons below:
Paediatrics: Ward 501, Paediatrician Dr Anakin Skywalker
The ward is split on loving or hating Anakin, there's no in between
He's great with the kids though, the patients love him
Rex is the unit manager who has more experience than Anakin despite Anakin “outranking” him
Has to gently steer Anakin back on track and wearily remind him not to make orders just to spite other doctors
Constant happy music playing in the ward, everyone has fun accessories and brightly coloured scrubs
Fives and Echo are the most senior nurses and also the worst influences
Together they can cannulate a kid without them even noticing but also they're the ones shit-talking the annoying/unhelpful parents in the nurses' station five minutes later
If the kids are extra good, Jesse lets them colour in his tattoo
Dogma and Tup are the new grads - Tup is great with the kids, gentle and always gets them smiling, Dogma makes them cry no matter how hard he tries
Kix is NICU-trained and somehow still remembers every single piece of anatomy and physiology from training. Unparallelled medication knowledge. He’s the one all the student nurses want to be paired with
Ahsoka is on her paediatric rotation under Anakin's instruction
She's the intern the nurses give their feedback and requests to when they don't want to talk to Anakin, because they know Anakin will listen to Ahsoka over them
Maternity: Ward 212, Obstetrician Dr Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan works closely with Anakin, refers most of his clients there for their child’s care
Anakin did rotations with him in training, Obi-Wan sometimes forgets that he's now a fully registered doctor and will still try to instruct/encourage him
Obi-Wan has borrowed Ahsoka for days in clinic or in the birthing unit, during which time the nurses will spend their entire shift trying to convince her to come to their unit instead
Obi-Wan is beloved by the nurses because he actually asks them for their input, unlike SOME doctors who just give orders (Anakin)
Did you catch him talking to the unit manager after handover this morning?? Hardcore flirting at 7:05am?? Cody was definitely into it
Cody is one of the most involved unit managers - he’s on the floor with the other nurses most days, always staying overtime and pulling double shifts to help keep things running smoothly
Waxer and Boil are considered bad luck charms - whenever they’re rostered on the same shift, things will always go to shit
God forbid either of them mentions it being “nice” or “quiet” on any given day - that just guarantees that three minutes later they’ll have five labouring people come in actively pushing
The two of them once delivered a baby in the parking lot outside because the mother didn’t make it in time - the parents still bring Numa in to visit sometimes
Their nurses have the best stories, sometimes even more gory than ED
General Medical: Ward 104, Physician Dr Plo Koon
Has Dr Plo been here forever?? Nobody at the hospital can remember a time he didn't work here
The best doctor, agreed by all nurses and patients
Keeps offering free check-ups to the nurses on the ward
Brings snacks for the nurses' station
Wolffe is the scariest unit manager there is - grads and students are terrified of him
The unit is the most efficient in the hospital because of it
God help the pathologist who loses a sample from them. He will not hesitate to riskman you
*Over the PA* “Visiting hours finish at 1900. It is now 1902. Get the fuck out.”
Emergency Department: Corrie Guard, lawless wasteland
Boost, Comet and Sinker knew him in training and are immune to his glare, they use this power to constantly fuck with him
Caffeinated to the point of medical concern
Lectures drunk uni students about the dangers of alcohol before finishing night shift at 0730 and going home to drink wine straight from the bottle
If Fox has to triage one more belligerent idiot demanding immediate attention for a stubbed toe he's going to come through the plastic window and throw hands
Take the turkey sandwich and shut the fuck up
Constant arguments with the ward over whether or not the patients are stable enough for ward transfer
Just take the fucking patient Wolffe, they've got enough to deal with down here, they're bed blocked and there's a line out the door
Orthopedics: Ward 327, Orthopedic surgeon Dr Aayla Secura
They all started in sports science
The most jacked nurses
Group gym sessions before or after shifts
I don't care if you're tired. You're getting out of that bed whether you want to or not. Use it or lose it. Mobilise, bitch.
They’re the ones who keep stealing the bladder scanner from gen med but won’t admit to it
If you witnessed the incident between Dr Secura and the unit manager Bly at the last Christmas party, no you didn't
Bonus:
The Bad Batch are agency nurses, they go where they're needed and everyone hates them because they make more on the hour for it
Weird mish-mash of different skills and background knowledge
Will go eat dinner in their car instead of in the break room with the other nurses
Tech will not stop correcting people on the wards he’s put on, he is not popular for this despite mostly being right
“You can’t nurse-initiate that drug.”
“That phone order is invalid. We need to call the doctor for another.”
“The patient’s blood pressure is 135/82. This is technically outside normal parameters.”
Crosshair openly shit talks the other nurses with his patients because he knows he won’t be there tomorrow to catch the fallout

(hi thank you for being understanding about my question and being cool with doing this!) can I ask for headcanons for somethin like movie night with the 501st? Gender neutral reader is fine
Of course babes. 🩷 We can do movie night any night with the 501st!
Tumblr media
Warnings and Information: There’s nothing to do in the barracks tonight, and it’s been a long time since anyone’s seen a good movie. So, throw in like fifteen packets of popcorn in the microwave (one at a time, Hardcase) to get this popcorn poppin’, because the 501st + one good friend is having a movie night! (Once mostly everyone agrees on what to watch, of course…) Blankets, pillows, snacks, and cozy Clone cuddle-piles galore~ Who’s falling asleep first? 😴 2nd person POV with an undescribed reader who has a gender neutral nickname. Bullet point format. We’ll use a little Mando’a, as a treat. Fluff and good feelings all around. Everyone’s happy. Everyone’s safe. 💙
Word count: 1,652
Tumblr media
The previews
There’s no paperwork to do, there’s no assignment they need to ship out for in the morning, and they’ve gone ahead and tidied up the bed racks for good measure. They could play some Sabbac to kill the time, but they’ve either lost or misplaced more than half the deck, and they don’t feel like the lights and thumping bass of the local drinking hole tonight. (It’s just not quite the same as 79’s…) Nobody really has the energy to do much of anything, but given their purpose and training as soldiers, they don’t often have nights like this where they simply do… nothing. Being idle leaves a gnawing feeling of discomfort for many in the 501st, so they’re trying to come up with a plan.
“Uh-oh. Hardcase has his thinking face on.” someone mumbles, growing slightly uneasy.
“I got it. I’m gonna call someone.” Hardcase declares, punching in one of his favorite contacts on the comlink. This makes the ARC troopers slightly nervous. “Not the Captain, I hope-” Fives chimes in warningly. “With any luck he’s just gone to the mess.”
Hardcase shakes his head, grinning broadly before he punches ENTER on the device. “Nah, I’m not calling the Captain right now, I’m callin’ Ember!”
You’re a favorite of the 501st. At least, that’s your theory.
And through one series of events after the other, you've become well acquainted with them and their antics.
Why else would you possibly need to be commed in the middle of a meal? “Don’t answer that.” Captain Rex advises you. You both barely started eating. It’s not an emergency tone. It can wait. But… maybe you should see who it is, first? “Umm… Hardcase is calling me.” you reply. That means one of two likely scenarios.
Boredom, or trouble.
Specifically future trouble.
(Or he’s in trouble.)
You’re at least going to see how urgently you need to scarf down your meal so the Captain has time to enjoy his for once in three blue moons. “Hello? What's going on Hardcase?”
“Hey little flame, you wanna do something tonight? We’re bored!”
“Define bored…” You’re gonna regret asking that, you’re sure. “And who’s “we” exactly, Hardcase? How many others are listening?” The jumbled cacophony of names and voices tells you it’s mostly Torrent Company, which you pretty much expected. “... hi Echo and Fives… hello Dogma … hey there Tup, I’m doing okay, thanks… yup, just trying to eat a little dinner, Kix…”
So why exactly did he call you, you ask Hardcase, exchanging wary glances with the cobalt captain. What's going on? "Do you know where we can find a lot of popcorn for a movie night? You and the Captain are invited too of course, little flame!"
Grab your snacks…
The bunkroom has been torn apart by the time you and Captain Rex make your way in from the mess hall, and it smells better than you imagined for military sleeping quarters. Lots of beds are missing mattresses, bedding, and pillows. Except for Dogma's. His is untouched, saved for a slight rumple in the sheets. "Boys, we're here! … Where'd all the stuff go?" You step further into the room, and find all the missing mattresses laid side-by-side on the floor near one end of the room, where everyone's either currently wrangling with the holo-projector, or taking down a few posters from the wall to clear the space that will serve as your "screen". Tup spots the pair of you first. "Oh, good. Captain and Ember are here!"
Hardcase is grateful that you found some popcorn for movie night, and that you could come join in for the fun. "There ya are, burc'ya! Just in time to start deciding on a movie!" He offers to get a jump on getting all the popcorn bags popped too, with the promise it's not going to be like last time. Trying to pop more than one bag resulted in a small fire, last time, evidently.
Jesse and Kix are scouring over the descent film selection together, sorting them by type or genre. Action. Horror. Family-oriented. There's- how'd this kids movie end up in here? Eh, no thanks on the war films, we see enough of that. "What about a comedy?" you suggest, rifling through the stack to see what your pickings are there. There's a couple you do and don't recognize, and some that are tied to fond memories from before the war. "This is a good one, I think most of you guys will like it. I used to watch this a lot whenever I needed a good laugh, or some cheering up."
Everyone agrees to give it a shot at least if that's what you recommend. In any case, it'll be difficult to get everyone to agree on one holo, and more than half of men squeezed around you on this giant raft of mattresses, blankets and pillows will probably fall asleep partway through it anyhow.
… and enjoy the show!
"C'mon Dogma, come join us!" you urge with a friendly smile, seeing him return to his neatly-made bunk. "There's plenty of room, I'm sure." Tup and Hardcase, slightly sprawled next to you on your left, would need to move a bit to make it happen. Echo and Fives are sitting nearest the projector, their shoulders brushing against one another with every little movement. Jesse has positioned himself nearest the Captain, who is also beside you on your right. "It's okay if you don't, either. Nobody's gonna force you." you add pointedly, just as you feel someone start to pull his legs under him to go drag his brother into the tangle of limbs and bedding. Maybe he's more comfortable on his bunk. Or perhaps he's not interested in a film right now.
The lights are dimmed, the snacks are passed around, and the film begins.
You only make it fifteen minutes into the film before there's a casualty: Kix, diligent man that he is to make sure all his brothers are taken care of, falls asleep behind you. "Psst! Kix, can you pass me the- oh nevermind. Ember, could you grab the candy under his arm before it melts?" You carefully wiggle it free and pass it up to Jesse before tucking a loose blanket kicking around over Kix. Generally, once Kix is out, he's out, so the group doesn't have to worry about waking him for a while.
Hardcase stays surprisingly still through most of the movie so long as he keeps his hands mostly occupied in some capacity, or has one of his brothers leaning on him in some way. He's a very tactile person, so it's no surprise that he's slowly migrating around the raft of mattresses as each of his brothers either allow Hardcase to fiddle around with stuff he finds in their pockets, or just hold him close in a brotherly embrace for a bit if he's getting too disruptive. (He eventually settles down around the midpoint of the movie, and is one of the few who stays awake through the whole thing.)
Tup pays attention to most of the comedy film, occasionally conversing in whispers with Fives and Echo about their opinions on the jokes until Echo nods off for a bit, and the hushed conversation continues back up again when he wakes up before movie's end. It's Jesse who's not paying much attention to the film, but he's not too disruptive. Jesse almost makes it to the end of the movie before he falls asleep in the middle of scrolling through something on a datapad that's made its way into the nest of pillows and blankets and limbs, his head resting on Captain Rex's knee.
Dogma does eventually join everyone on the floor. You suspect he was starting to feel a little left out, or maybe he changed his mind about the offer you made earlier, growing bored of whatever he'd been reading on his datapad, or deciding he'd give the movie a try. He tentatively makes his way over, and asks if he can still sit by you. "Of course, Dogma. Here, I saved some popcorn for you!" You give him the rest of the bowl you'd set aside for him, unable to get up and give it to him yourself since you've got multiple people surrounding you. (You didn't want Dogma to miss out on the snacks just because he wasn't initially watching the movie with everyone.) "Thanks for saving me some, Ember." Captain Rex reaches behind you and gives Dogma a warm pat on the shoulder. "Glad you joined us, brother." There's an unspoken finally in his words, but he's just glad to see that Dogma didn't end up isolating himself for long.
You and Captain Rex, being firmly in the middle of the mattress pile, end up being the ones who become the human pillows of the group. It's nice to see all your friends having fun tonight, and be a part of enjoying a movie together. No stiff, uncomfortable armor; everyone's either in their fatigues or their blacks, and draped over and across their friends and brothers. Everyone is content and full of maybe a little too much popcorn and other snacks. You'll have a heck of a mess on your hands to clean up, either in the morning, or when everyone returns their respective mattresses to their bunks tonight, too.
Nights like this are how it should be. Everyone's happy and there are signs of trust everywhere you look. Brothers let their sleeping siblings rest on their shoulders, against their backs, their legs, or under their arms without complaint. There are sleepy smiles and shared blankets. Those who stayed awake until the end are now joking happily with one another and their Captain, and you too.
And for a moment, in this night that will become a cherished memory no matter which way this war winds up, everyone you care about is safe.
And what could be better than that?

Don't have a fic taglist for the time being, but I'll likely start one soon if I can figure out how to make those forms some people have since I write a variety of stuff. For now, though, if you'd like to join a taglist for specific types of fics (for example: just TBB-centric or just TCW-centric (or both)) don't hesitate to ask. 🩷

Chapter 3 Summary:
Plans are made as Tup's condition starts to deteriorate.
Fic Summary:
Six months after the trials of Umbara, Tup and Dogma are growing into themselves as well-established members of the 501st. Tup's been training more with Fives and Jesse, set on an ARC trooper promotion, and even Dogma has found a place in medical, where his intense focus and organization are both needed and appreciated.
While practicing for his medic exams, Dogma find some worrying abnormalities in Tup's numbers, making some worrying discoveries. As Tup's condition worsens, help comes from unlikely sources as Dogma, Kix, Fives, and Hardcase fight to discover the truth and save their brother.
A Sequel to the fic "A Series of Hard Knocks," focusing on Tup and Dogma as they discover a nefarious plot.
Chapter 3:
To absolutely nobody’s surprise, Tup fell asleep the moment they got back to their bunkroom, and after reviewing his notes with Kix, it wasn’t long before Dogma joined him. Despite the sharp worry clawing at the back of his mind, Dogma fell asleep quickly, slumped against his batchmate’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. It was barely five hours later when he woke up again, Tup still plastered to his side, to find Kix and Fives discussing something over a datapad.
Carefully removing himself from Tup’s grasp, Dogma slid out of the bunk and gave a quiet nod to the other two.
“Get enough sleep, Dogma?” Kix asked with a knowing look. Back when he’d taken his medic’s exam, he hadn’t slept nearly enough. He could only imagine the added stress that Dogma was likely feeling from this whole scenario.
“I’m fine,” Dogma grunted. “How’s Tup’s scans? Have you two come up with anything yet?”
Fives grimaced, “I looked through what I could find of the Kaminoan’s files, and I couldn’t find anything on brain tumors. Other types of tumors, yes, but nothing from the brain.”
Kix nodded, “It was weird, but we could barely even find brain scans to compare Tup’s to; at least not higher-level scans like we did. It’s like the long-necks used their di’kutla hyper tests every single time, just for kicks!”
Fives had been smirking at Kix’s words, “for kicks,” when a thought came to mind. “Still, you’d think that they took brain scans for other things. Brain bleeds, concussions, kriff, even their freaky experiments. But we found nothing. I’m just saying, it’s a little suspicious.”
“Hmm. You might be onto something, Fives. Either way, though, we still need to figure out how to get whatever-it-is out of Tup’s head– without the Kaminoans finding out about it.” Kix said, deep in thought.
“Well, why don’t you just remove it?” Fives asked.
Kix rolled his eyes. “Oh, and should I rearrange the stars while I’m at it? I’m a field medic, Fives, not a brain surgeon. That requires special training; that or a really good medical droid.” He snapped before wincing internally at his tone. “Sorry, haven’t had my kaff yet.”
Fives shrugged, unoffended. “It’s okay, we all had an early start today. But if it’s a med droid we need, that shouldn’t be too difficult. We’ll just need to find one and convince it to do the surgery without alerting the long-necks. Easy!”
Dogma raised an eyebrow at Fives’ nonchalance. “And how do you plan on doing that?” Fives was taking this far too lightly, in his sleep-deprived opinion.
Typing on his datapad once again, Fives responded. “Well, if you give me a moment to find the programming manual for those medical droids–”
“An AZ unit would be better,” Kix interjected, and Fives nodded before continuing.
“Yep, just as I thought. Most droids, even the stuffy ones, will go against basic protocol if it means that their base function is fulfilled. Luckily for us, AZ units are programmed to do what’s best for the patient, above all else! So if we convince the droid that it would harm Tup to alert the Kaminoans, we should be good to go!”
“Are you sure that’s going to work?” Dogma asked, hopeful but still skeptical.
“I’m sure of it! Besides, growing up with Echo as a batchmate, I got pretty good at thinking around the regs.” Fives grinned, relieved that they finally had a plan to help Tup. Sure, he was close with everyone in his squad, but since Echo died, Tup was his best friend, and he hated feeling helpless when his brothers were hurting.
Kix nodded, and the group sank into thought. “How are we going to get our hands on a medical droid?”
Fives smirked, “Leave that to me.”
When Tup came back to awareness an hour later, his entire being felt like it was wrapped in a thick fog. If his vision had been a little off earlier, now it was downright blurry, and he shook his head a bit in the hopes that it would clear it. Instead, a sharp pain lanced through his skull and he let out a groan.
Distantly, he could hear his brothers moving around him, and one of the blurs got close enough that he could recognize Dogma. “-Hey Tup, how are you feeling?”
Tup scrubbed at his face with a clumsy hand. He may not have Dogma’s training, but something definitely felt off. “I-I don’t… feel like myself…” He muttered, earning a concerned look from Dogma.
“Hey Kix, does his voice sound slurred to you?” Dogma asked, shining a light in Tup’s eyes, and Tup let out an uncharacteristic whimper as the light seared his retinas.
“Sorry, sorry, vod. Just need to check something.” He apologized before turning towards the other medic, and Tup drifted a little, in a haze.
“ –Tup. Tup?” Flinching harshly, Tup realized that he’d spaced out again, and the other three troopers were all standing around him.
“W-what?” He asked, attempting to get up, only to be pushed back down with a gentle hand.
“We need to get him back to medbay– now.” Kix said, voice insistent. “I don’t know why, but his numbers are looking worse, and I don’t want to hold off for too much longer.”
Dogma nodded, and Tup belatedly realized that he’d captured his batchmate’s hand at some point, but thankfully Dogma didn’t seem to mind, squeezing it lightly whenever he started to drift again.
“How are we going to get him into medbay undetected?” He asked, and Fives opened his mouth to respond when, all of a sudden, Hardcase entered the room with an enthusiastic grin.
“Vode, you would not believe the– what’s going on?” Hardcase paused, noting the stress lines on Kix’s face, and how they all gathered around Tup. “Is Tup alright?”
Fives paused before taking charge of the situation. “There’s no time to explain, vod. We’ve gotta go to medbay. But first, I need you to do something for me.”
Nodding expectantly, Hardcase said. “Anything, Fives.”
At that, Fives’ expression quirked into a small grin. “I need you to punch me in the face.”
Hardcase blinked, and hardly a moment later, Fives was clutching his jaw with a groan. “You could’ve at least hesitated, vod!” He complained, shaking his head to clear it, a sardonic grin on his face. “Right, let’s head to medical.” He ordered, and the others were swift to follow, with Kix and Dogma each looping one of Tup’s arms around their shoulders.
Hardcase followed behind, a small grin on his face despite his growing worry. “You said there’s no time, Fives… why exactly did I just punch you in the face?”
“Come on, I’ll explain on the way.” Fives said, and Hardcase nodded. He’d followed the ARC into fire many times before; following him into medbay couldn’t be that bad.
Once they got to medbay, citing a sparring match gone wrong, it wasn’t long before Fives and Tup were seated on an exam table, being looked over by a med droid. Thankfully, it was one of the newer AZ units Kix had mentioned.
With Tup slumped on Fives' side, looking increasingly worse and muttering under his breath about good soldiers, it didn’t take long for the med droid to recognize that something else was going on. Thankfully, Fives came prepared, and after Kix showed the medical droid their scans, it wasn’t long before they were deep in discussion.
“Think about it. It’s your duty to save the patient, right?” Fives asked.
“That is correct.” The med droid bobbed his head in a nod, surprisingly expressive for a droid.
“And you agree that surgery is the correct course of action with these scans, as the best way to save the patient, right?”
“That is correct.”
“So, by stalling and informing the Kaminoans, who according to you, would move to terminate, dissect, and study the patient, you’d be letting the patient die, willingly.”
Fives forced himself to continue, keeping his voice even despite how the words threatened to choke him. Tup wasn’t on death’s door, not yet, but if he kept going downhill as fast as he was, Fives didn’t need to be a medic to know it’d be bad.
“Impossible! That is against my programming!”
“That’s not the way it looks to me,” Fives challenged.
“I cannot perform a surgery of this magnitude without disobeying protocols.” AZ-3 hedged, and Fives knew he had him right where he wanted.
“Check your programming,” Fives said. “I thought saving the patient at all costs was fundamentally your highest order.”
“That is correct.”
“Right, then let’s get to it.” Finally, Fives allowed a relieved look to cross his face as the medical droid was finally convinced to do the surgery– without alerting the Kaminoans. He looked over to Kix and Dogma, seeing dual looks of relief. Hardcase still looked a little confused, having been blindsided by the whole scenario, but thankfully, he’d kept the questions to a minimum, recognizing the urgency of the situation.
“Remind me to never leave you alone with a medical droid, vod.” Kix said, tired yet amused, still beyond grateful that Tup was going to get the help he needed.
Tup himself was oblivious to everything that had happened, having fallen into an uneasy state of unconsciousness after they’d laid him down on the exam table, not quite asleep, but definitely not awake either. His hand was still being carefully grasped by Dogma as he kept watch over his brother.
The med droid bobbed in the air, quickly getting started with the surgery prep. “CT-5385 is already unconscious, but I will administer a sedative to ensure he does not awaken during the surgery.”
Fives interjected. “Tup. His name is Tup.”
“Tup? What is a Tup?” The med droid asked, confused.
“He’s my friend; our brother. He’s not a number.” Fives continued, insistent.
“Yes he is. We all have numbers. My number is AZ-345211896246498721347. His number is CT-5385.
“Wrong, he has a name. No clone uses their number, not anymore.” Not since Kamino, and definitely not since Umbara, if any of them had a say in it.
“But you are a number. CT-5555.” The med droid’s tone was curious, even as it puttered around the exam room prepping for Tup’s surgery.
“No, I am Fives. Call me Fives.”
Kix’s face quirked into a small smile, listening to Fives argue with the medical droid. Still, he couldn’t deny the effectiveness of the ARC trooper’s tactics, convincing the med droid to help Tup.
“But, five is a number?”
“No, not five, Fives .” Fives enunciated to the confused droid.
“Oh…” AZ-3 nodded, and Fives grinned in success, only to be crushed when AZ continued. “The difference is minimal.”
Dogma huffed in amusement, appreciating the distraction from Tup’s deteriorating health, however small. As he stood there, waiting for the medical droid to start cutting into his batchmate’s brain, Dogma jumped forward at a sudden thought.
“Wait– Tup’s hair, I don’t…” Dogma paused, forcing himself to use clinical terms, even though it was his batchmate laying on the exam table, unconscious and vulnerable.
He reworded his thoughts carefully. “Cutting the patient’s hair unnecessarily would negatively impact his wellbeing. I’ve read about other techniques for civilians with brain tumors, but… is there any way to do the surgery without shaving his head?”
AZ-3 tilted his head robotically. “Hair is not alive, and thus has no pain receptors. How would cutting CT-5385’s hair negatively impact his well-being?”
Dogma paused for a moment, trying to explain. “Tup… when we were cadets, a trainer once attempted to forcibly cut his hair, against his will. After this event, his range scores were lower for a while, and he had trouble sleeping until it started to grow out again. Even now, he’s… careful about who he allows to touch his hair. Losing sleep could lengthen his recovery, which would be harmful to his overall health.”
A moment passed, and AZ-3’s servos whirred for a second before responding. “It would be less efficient, and would be more time-consuming, but it can be done. Hair-sparing techniques will only require me to shave half-an inch of his hair away from the surgical area, once I have applied the proper sealants. Would you like me to proceed with the surgery for clone trooper Tup?”
Dogma let out a sigh of relief as AZ immediately started prepping for the surgery. “Yes, thank you, AZ.”
AZ bobbed his head, hardly pausing from his “I am a droid, I do not require thanks.”
Dogma shook his head, exasperated, before stepping back, reassured that Tup’s hair would be saved. As he moved back towards the others, Fives gave him a friendly nudge. “Good job, vod. I didn’t even think about his hair.”
Dogma nodded wearily. “He’s going to have enough worries after this surgery. I didn’t want to add any more, if I could help it.” He kept his gaze on Tup, forcing himself not to look away as AZ continued with the surgery. It was lucky that they'd gotten him into surgery when they did, but his brain couldn't stop going through likelihoods of brain damage, skull pressure, even death, as he forced his gaze away from Tup's vitals.
He flinched slightly as Fives wrapped an arm around his shoulders before he relaxed a little bit at Fives’ reassurance. “Tup’s lucky to have a vod like you watching out for him.”
“Thanks… you too.”
Even with the additional steps for the hair-sparing surgery, it wasn’t long before AZ-3 finished the surgery, placing a bacta patch over the incision. Once he was done, he transferred the tumor to a microscope slide, which he passed to Kix.
“What is that?” Fives asked, shuddering at the misshapen tumor on the slide, and a pit of dread filled Dogma’s stomach as he looked back at Tup, still painfully still. Only time would tell if there were any lasting effects, so he squeezed his batchmate’s hand and hoped for the best.

Little Un
Summary: Ahsoka loves his men at the bottom of her heart, she will do everything to protect them from any possible dangers even if she had to risk her life.
She was their Vod'ika their little sister in Mando'a, but things wasn't quite right when Ahsoka had this fleeting feelings of infatuations between them that she couldn't fathom, a sexual awakening when she could see the torrent company as more than just her boys, but men in her own right, even she was devastated heartbroken when she found out that her Captain was already taken.
When she wanted to be his first.

Rex, Kix, Jesse, Fives, Echo, Hardcase, Tup, Dogma,
A sea of distinctive faces and voices, but unique on their own looks of individualism  that echoes their personality.
While she grew up on this battalion, the men were very keen on protecting their Vod'ika on this treacherous battle, many times had she possibly risked her life to save them in the jaws of death even though she was gratuitously the favorite head acne of the torrent company.
Head strong just like her Master, a terrible trait that she was heavily influenced by.
She was certain of herself to accomplished her goals to be a Knight of the Order even it feared her to face the consequences of it, that's why she wanted to be good, and sometimes you need to learn from the experience, and throughout her journey as a Jedi were known to be peacekeepers in the galaxy now that they we're soldiers of the Republic, despite their livid opinions to the codes, nobody willing to broach the subject even they have a morally views about attachment that we're considerably frowned upon.
And Ahsoka was uncertain about her growing attachment with the men that will only leave a heavy heart in the pit of her chest, but to continue to accept them; and Rex was one of them.
The closer she gets to his captain, lest it become an infatuation.
She was there when they lost another brethren from the frontlines, and Ahsoka didn't hesitate to enter their barracks to comfort them, she was their to handed Tup a sweetened Juja fruit candy, and she was there for Hardcase to stay with him at the Med bay too enlightened his mood, and her captain Rex was their to accompany him on his reports talking about their per usual day about battle and what not or Fives cooperating about his notorious shenanigans or Echo and Dogma listening attentively about manuals that she was eager to learned the amount of knowledge in the military or Jesse, Kix helping on their  inventory that she was sorely comply, but nonetheless that they we're pleased about her companionship, and she did everything to her best of her behavior to love his men of the 501st.
And she was their Vod'ika there little sister, and for Rex she called me her 'little Un' which is so sweet.
When I was kidnapped by Lux Bonteri all that happened in the campaign were the Death Watch allocated; she never expected that he would steal her first kiss that was supposed to be her captain, everything came so fast suddenly after that kiss when I'm the one who did it, just so our undercover wouldn't exposed.
Guesses were not really subtle enough when the truth was finally revealed, and when I  told this to Rex realizing it would impact his jealousy over that Bonteri boy. I was overwhelmed for a fact that Rex truly loves me.
Sometimes I thought about my relationship to the Order and my men, but it doesn't matter.
When I could no longer control my feelings anymore.
The men on the torrent invited me to the bar where they never allowed me to come, since I already grew fondly at their taunts to celebrate my life day, but my Captain wouldn't allow me to drink a single each of Alcohol, so I would go home sober, which I reluctantly agreed to.
And yet I couldn't barely contain myself that I was going to confess my feelings to him.
But there's an inner part of me thinking about the possible rejection that was about to come, Ahsoka disemboweled this into her thoughts, and a flash of grin when the Commander of 104th came and greeted me along with his men.
The music was fascinatingly loud, and vibrating to our ears, along with the inebriated clones laughing joyously. It was the first time that Ahsoka witnessed these men to be so openly brash and carefree publicly, even in the face of the war they deserve all the joy they enquire in this cruel galaxy.
Ahsoka tried to have a constant glances from his captain who sat on the  barstool with a hand clutch on his glass of alcohol, talking with Commander Wolffe cracking about some wild battle stories; he suddenly met her eyes and his luscious lips curled upward that Ahsoka felt her blood rushing to her cheeks, and return her gaze to Fives talking to him the way she was absorbed on his conversation.
She hadn't put a sterling effort to approach him, there's a feeling of anxiousness that lived within her chest.
Ahsoka briefly glances at his captain when he slides to his barstool leaving her glass on the stool.
This was the time that Ahsoka excuse herself to go to the fresher. It's not as if the men would care; Ahsoka passed between the dancing patrons making her way from where Rex disappeared, and waved at Wolffe who arched an uncertain brow, his lips pressed in the tip of his glass, as he returned his gaze on the view of the party.
Her heart pounds in anticipation when Ahsoka punches the button and the entrance slide opens, and  goes outside at the back of the dark alleyway, feeling the faint signature of his captain not far within her reach.
She wrapped her arms, wondering why Rex would come outside looking searchingly.
The alleyway stretched silently, and moved to the side when she spotted a clone and a human woman from the distance having a time to experience pain and pleasure when she was pinned against him, hands were on top, and one leg was wrapped between his waist.
Her lekku suddenly turned a shade of blue, and darted her attention from the debauchery, continuing her search for her missing captain.
" Oh, Rex~"
Ahsoka stopped.
Does she hear it right?
Ahsoka was unsure whether the human was calling someone by the same name of his captain; she wanted to deny this chasm of loss and slowly returned her attention from where the couple was being held in a frivolous activity.
The artificial Led gave away the color blond of his blonde shaven hair, the way they kissed passionately when she could almost see Rex face from the distance, shutting her eyes on the world, embracing the woman as if he was his dear life.
When their lips parted.
The woman smiled.
"My captain~"
Her Captain?
Ahsoka felt her heart fall into a million pieces.
A spark of anger coiled into her chest like she wanted to tear that throat with her bare fingers---she stopped, and cast her eyes on the ground, and immediately hid behind  the wall.
She couldn't believe what she was saying?! Why would she think about that so heinously?
Seeing her Captain, her Rex , her Best friend.
Was already mated, before she's going to act and confess all  about her feelings all riled up into tears that fall into her cheeks.
How long has it been since he was taken by this woman?
Ahsoka's face goes distant, and marches to the bar, pushing through the crowd and making her way fast from where her companions are on the table, upstairs.
Ahsoka didn't hesitate and took the glass from Jesse's hand who seemed surprised by her appearance while he was absorbed by their conversation.
Fives chuckled. "Woah! Easy with the drink Commander."
A bemused Kix scolded her that hi--Captain Rex wouldn't permit me to drink.
"Well, kriff that. I'm having the time of my life!" She replied loudly.
Torrent company exchanged a glance of confusion and surprise at the crass tone that slipped into her lips.
Ahsoka felt the alcohol burn into her lungs, and hissed that she didn't expect the alcohol could be so strong.
Ahsoka coughed bitterly, glaring from her now empty glass; she threw it on the floor, making their shoulders stiffened, and grabbed the bottle on the center of the table, and drank it swiftly.
"Commander?" Tup spluttered.
Ahsoka ignored their protest, continuing to drink in complete utter satisfaction, but before she could finish the contents of her drink, a hand caught on her bottle.
It was Fives.
"Commander. Is there something wrong?"
Ahsoka swatted his hand on her bottle, and her eye marking pierced at him.
"I'm fine."
"Are you certain?"
Ahsoka wanted to deny the  sadness that stirred inside her, but she hastily dismissed this, and took a long gulp of  drink.
"Vod'ika, are you okay?" Jesse replied.
"Fine. I'm fine guys." She replied bitterly.
But they looked at her unconvinced about her response.
"Commander. If the Captain finds out about this we're screwed." Hardcase says in hesitation.
"What does it have to do with him? It's  my life day , remember? Could a girl at least enjoy what little things she has?"
She could nearly feel the alcohol take over her system slowly.
The men felt a bit concerned about her situation, they never saw their commander to act like this?
Ahsoka swipe for another drink, mulling over the thought about her---No, Captain betrayed her feelings.
"Yes, but this is different--"
Kix reaches out into her shoulder.
"Vod'ika."
Ahsoka slumped beside Fives into the couch with her hand on her bottle, and continued to consume the contents of her alcohol deeply; she could feel their concern radiating from the force; she grunted eyes on the view of the dancing patrons below the floor ways.
"Commander, can you at least tell us what's wrong with you?"
Ahsoka impassively ignores Jesse's questioning glance, pressing the tip of her bottle between her lips and gulping it.
As it may seem the men currently neglected the another bottle of alcohol that was set on top of Echo side, she reached into it when she instantly finished her bottle, and took another one in a swift long gulped.
"Commander!" Kix scolded her.
Ahsoka swipes the liquid into her lips; she lightly laughs. " What's with all this bleak atmosphere should've we at least celebrating?"
Ahsoka didn't shy away, feeling the bitter liquid crawling into her system with ease.
" I don't like it when all of you are quite projecting."
"Projecting?"
"Your emotions." Ahsoka countered with a smile.
Fives equally shook his head just like Kix. "Commander, stop."
"Do you think I'm pretty?" Why did she say that? Must because of the alcohol that's for sure. Is this how it feels?
Fives scoffed in surprise, exchanging a glance with his brothers . "Of course you are."
Ahsoka scoffed in return, and leaned closely into his shoulder.
"Commander."
 "You think so?"
Fives pursed his lips, exchanging a glance from his brothers.
"Y-yeah. I-i guess?"
"You guess?" Ahsoka felt herself deflated at that tone.
"It's not like that Commander, you're really really pretty." Fives tried to reciprocate.
"Then explained." She almost slurred.
He tensed.
"Uhh well,"
Ahsoka gave him a challenging brow. "You have beautiful round blue eyes."
Ahsoka wanted to believe him, but she couldn't.
----Does Rex don't think I'm attractive?
Fives nudge Tup on his stomach, as he winces, giving him an ire piercing brow.
"Why me?" They lowered their tone.
"Help me out of here Vod."
The two started to nudge one another, expecting a good compliment.
She drank silently.
" Commander?"
"..."
"Do you want some...Chips?" Hardcase slowly handed her some appetizer; Ahsoka reached into it and put it into her mouth without ever responding.
Hardcase deflates, looking back from one of his brothers to cheer her up, but none of their antics couldn't work.
Ahsoka didn't answer, which only increased their concern.
"Vod'ika you have to stop drinking."
Ahsoka swats Kix's arm, tipping the bottle into her lips with a satisfied gulp.
"Kid."
She growled and bared her fanged teeth as she viciously exclaimed. "STOP CALLING ME A KID!"
They all stiffened, thankfully the music was garish and few of the patrons on the corner  swept their attention to them.
Ahsoka frowned, and realization struck her when all of that frustration vanished into mid air. All eyes were drawn into a group with curiosity.
Fives, Jesse, Kix, Hardcase, Tup, look at her in fear and worry into their faces, enough for them to inch over their blaster.
Ahsoka cast her eyes on the alcohol bottle within her grasp, and slowly returned it from the top of the table, and yet the contents of the liquid hadn't finished, leaving her dazed from its effect, her eyes dropped in pearl into sadness and one of them noticed it in shock.
"Comma--
" I'm sorry." Shame rose into her chest, and rushed her way to the stairwell, refusing to look back when she could faintly hear his men tow behind her, but they couldn't pass the crowded people, blocking their way towards her, she was almost near the exit when….
Ahsoka abruptly halted and her eye marking rose upward.
"Commander?"
Rex frowned in concern, but she noticed his delicate lips were faintly smeared with her red painted lips, and where his other hand curled around the waistline of the woman that he was currently in a relationship with, looking at her in genuine curiosity.
"Are you alright?"
All of those memories with her captain flash before her eyes.
His smile, his laughter, his share of loss, his anger, and his burning determination to inspire bravery in the field of battle.
He was everything for her, even she was there to hit his lowest point that he deserved everything in the whole galaxy, so was his brothers.
But that opportunity only blew in despair, when he was already mated with a woman.
Eyes only burst into tears, covering her lips and passed the couple with restrained sadness, but his hand caught on her elbow, and Ahsoka couldn't look at his hazel eyes.
"Commander--Ahsoka."
They already phase the formalities, but why does it only leave a sorrowful heart into her chest; Ahsoka immediately swatted it away never responding and moved into the entrance, leaving them an air of confusion.
///
"Rex. Who is that?"
Rex still maintained his eyesight on the entrance with a frown where Ahsoka just left in tears.
"That's Commander Tano."
"Oh, that's your Commander? What happened?"
Rex looked at her as all the questions in his eyes were left unanswered.
"I don't know? Gina, that's why I'm going to find out."
Gina squeezed his hand in reassurance.
///
Ahsoka slid away to her quarters, slammed shut.
Tears trailing down into her cheeks, and flopped down into her cot with a dull thud laying flat into her belly, as she burrows her head into a stiff pillow, feeling her emotions running rampant.
Ahsoka slowly moved her head on the side, thinking about his beloved captain being taken away by a beautiful stranger.
She let her legs pull into her chest, and wipe the last tears into her eyes.
It was so immature of her to think of the possibility that Rex would like her, all those fleeting feelings of admiration were all good for nothing,  she was so caught up in a moment that she wanted him to be the first person to know her feelings were more than just an infatuation, but she desire him.
Maybe she was young and stupid to think of any of this, she was beginning to like Lux from the start, but who wouldn't think that he only might as well take advantage of it because of her naïveté.
Steela Gerrera was his type all along. She's strong, determined, she got this fuzz hair---I mean, She is human and beautiful, and Ahsoka remembers all of their longing stares; their foreboding desire the way it registered their feelings would often intensified in the force.
Realizing Lux wasn't in love with her.
And it only made her heart clenched the first moment they kissed. Ahsoka was sort of in a state of shock and she had no other choice but to lay aside her feelings, and fixate on her obligation.
What is it with all this attachment anyway? Is this how it really feels?
Ahsoka turned her head to the side, and sighed, contemplating her beliefs.
And tomorrow she's going to fix this.
Author's Note:
Another Rexsoka fiction, but this is different where Ahsoka was hurt, because Rex already found someone whom he could love with. I didn't mean to hurt Ahsoka! If this is the fic that you want then  prepare yourself for a tear jerking experience, because this is going to be full of angst and a lot of dramatics. If this is not the fic you wanted to read go back.
Oh! This is a work of  entertainment where people yearn to write that isn't part of the Canon Universe, English is not my native language sorry, and I don't own anything.
Its going to be a sporadic update💀

The fear in his eyes was nothing compared to the sheer paranoia radiating off of him.
“Baby!” She grabbed Five’s face, cupping his face in her hands, keeping him focused on her, “Breathe. Just breathe. Tell me what’s going on.”
“It’s all a lie. Everything. It’s…”
“What is?”
“The war. Us. Everything!”
“Us? You mean you and me?”
“No. Clones. We’re … we’re a lie.”
She let out a soft sigh, “Okay, let’s get you calmed down first, just sit on the couch.” She moved away and went to turn on the kettle, but Fives was back on his feet following her.
“It’s not safe. We need to … you, you need to run mesh’la.”
“I’m not going anywhere without you.” Her resolve was evident in the way she held herself, she didn’t know what was going on, but she knew Fives long enough to know he wasn’t some junky or drunkard. Whatever he found out spooked him.
“No. You see…” he closed his eyes, his thoughts were racing a mile a minute. There were so many things he wanted to say. So many things he couldn’t put into words, because it was all jumbled.
“Look at me, Fives” she got him to focus on her eyes, “You’re not well. I’m gonna call Kix and Rex. If there’s something …”
“No. No. I need… the General. The General needs to hear this. I trust him.”
“Fine, I’ll ask Rex to bring him here, but … you need to calm down. Can you do that for me? Close your eyes and count to ten slowly. Please.”
Fives nodded slowly counting, when he felt a prick on the side of his neck. He looked into her eyes as she mouthed ‘Sorry’ before his world went black.
She stood pacing back and forth, while his cyare chewed on her thumb nail waiting for Rex and Kix to show up. It was about ten minutes later, when she finally was able to let out a breath as Kix appeared, ready with his med kit.
“He’s in here” without hesitation she guided him to the guest room, Fives was still out, “I gave him a sleeping aid. He was almost manic.”
Kix nodded, “It’s okay, I got him, go wait for Rex and General Skywalker they should be here shortly.”
She nodded in return as she waited.
By the time Fives came round, there were several voices in the living room. He stood slightly woozy, but his mind felt calmer, he felt he could think clearer. As soon as his eyes locked on hers, he hobbled over to her, wrapping her up in his arms, letting out a sigh of relief.
“Thank you, cyar’ika.”
“For?” Her hand gently caressed his back.
“For not thinking I went crazy and kicking me out.”
“I know you well enough to know that you are crazy, but not that crazy.” She pulled back smirking as she helped him to a seat on the sofa.
“Alright, Fives, what’s going on?” General Skywalker shifted wanting to know everything that freaked out Fives, and what sent him reeling with fear.
It was almost two hours later, when Fives finished telling them everything. Kix was in shock, Rex kept shaking his head in disbelief, meanwhile General Skywalker looked … well he looked pissed.
“Are you certain? I mean 100% without a doubt the Chancellor is responsible? I’ve known the Chancellor since I was a little boy and he’s been a friend and a great advocate to the Republic.”
Fives nodded as he let out a sigh, “I know General. I know how much your friendship with the Chancellor means to you, but … he admitted it himself.”
“Do you have proof of this?”
He shook his no, “No, his assistant drugged me, and then he told me everything. I have no doubt he thought I’d be dead before I could tell anyone.” His cyare’s soft warm hands gently squeezed his hand at that statement, sitting closer to him providing as much comfort as she could give.
“I understand if you don’t believe me …”
“But there has to be proof,” she stated boldly, “Isn’t it your job as the General to find that proof?”
He couldn’t help but lean his forehead against his cyare’s temple, she’d always been feisty, in truth it’s what drew him to her.
“Well there may be a way to gain proof,” Kix offered as he finally came back to the present, “you said Tup’s chip malfunctioned, and the one you had was taken by the Chancellor’s aide, correct?”
He pulled back from his cyare’s side, “Yeah, at least …” Fives rubbed his forehead, “at least, I think that’s what happened to it. Truthfully, I don’t know.”
“Then we can just take the one that’s in Rex’s head.”
“Wait, what?” Rex looked around the room, “Come again.” He looked at Kix, blinking trying to understand the words coming out of his vod’s mouth, “Take what out of where?”
“The chip, we can remove the chip from your head, and get it analyzed by the Jedi temple, right General?”
General Skywalker stood from his seat pacing back and forth as his thumb and forefinger stroked his chin, “That is possible.”
“Then what if we move Fives and his cyare, here, to the temple. If what Fives says isn’t true, the Chancellor wouldn’t even consider sending troops to advance on the temple. However, if what he says is true, then the Chancellor won’t hold back from shutting up Fives and the Jedi.”
“That seems to be the most logical choice,” the General stopped pacing, “all right, let’s get Fives and … I’m sorry I don’t know your name, his girlfriend, to the temple. I’ll contact Master Yoda and Mace Windu. With Obi-wan off-world they’ll be the best ones to know what to do. Miss, I suggest you pack what you need and leave all communication devices here. Rex organize a transport for all of us, and keep it restricted to the 501st channels only.”
“Sir yes sir” Rex stood and walked over to the kitchen.
“You should go pack, cyare,” Fives nudged her knee with his.
“I have my go bag ready, ever since you told me how important it was to have one. So I’m good to go.”
Fives leaned closer, cupping her left cheek, while he pressed a kiss to her right, “That’s my girl.”

DJ!!!! For Cerra (my beloved) could I ask from the 40 Q's for You OC Post? - 8.) What's their favorite food? - 13.) What's their comfort item? (Teddy, jacket, etc.) - 24.) What's their favorite memory? And for the spicy ones: - 33.) What's the most risky place they've fucked?
Hello, my dear Archivist! Thank you for the ask! Okay, let's do this!
Tumblr media
Cerra is so unpicky about food that she picked up a desiccated, half-eaten ration bar off the floor of the barracks and ate it. Kix nearly vomited. That being said, her favorite food is anything that Gregor cooks. She's not sure what it is about his food that makes it so delicious, but she will never, EVER turn down a meal from him.
Her comfort item is a carved plastoid ring that she keeps in one of her many pockets. She always knows exactly where it is, and when she's feeling particularly anxious, she'll shove her hands into her pockets so nobody notices her fidgeting with it.
Her favorite memory is this night out at 79's. She still has the holo that Kix took.
Mature below the cut! MDNI.
Listen, Cerra has very little sense of modesty or shame. She's been living in barracks and on warships since she was sixteen, and she barely even remembers what non-communal showers look like. She's not an exhibitionist, but Fives was, and pretty much nowhere was sacred. They spent so much time apart on their different deployments that whenever they got to spend time together, they fucked nasty at every opportunity.
That said, the riskiest place they ever fucked was in a meeting room right before a mission briefing one time when Fives was on assignment on the Ro-Ti-Mundi. They didn't get caught, but Odd Ball immediately knew what they'd been up to.

Prompt - ‘You and I walk a fragile line, I have known it all this time, never ever thought I'd see it break. Never thought I'd see it.’
For years both you and Anakin had known you walked a fragile line, at first it wasn’t too obvious, how could it have been when the two of you were just children? The years spent growing up together, side by side were filled with the best of memories but what you didn’t know was the Jedi Council was always watching the blossoming friendship, always weary of how far it would grow.
It wasn’t until you were years older that you realised the scrutiny you were under, even if nobody outright acknowledged it, everybody knew. There were whispers in the halls of you and Anakin, ones that neither of you helped with considering how your friendship grew stronger and stronger each day. You and Anakin were inseparable, you did everything together, you trained together, you ran off together to explore the city, you went on missions together.
The Jedi Council could see the attachment that was growing but just as they were about to put a stop to it, to put some plan into place that would force you and Anakin apart, the Clone Wars began and not even the Jedi Council, much as they wished they could, could deny the fact that you and Anakin were a force to be reckoned with when you fought together.
So whilst they didn't trust this growing attachment they couldn’t do anything but send the two of you off to fight alongside each other, knowing that the risk of your attachment growing was outweighed by the war hanging over them.
The Clone Wars saw you and Anakin somehow spending even more time at each other’s side, fighting back to back for months on end. It wasn’t a surprise to either of you when you both finally caved, it had been a bad mission from the get-go, one that saw you and Rex taken and tortured for days before Anakin and the rest of the 501st could get to you.
Anakin had carried you onto the ship after slaughtering anybody who had stood in his way of getting to you, uncaring of the fact he knew he’d have to answer to the Council later for going against their direct orders to come and rescue you but their plan would have left you with the Pyke’s for days longer and he refused to do that.
He didn’t leave your side as Kix worked to patch up the injuries you’d received and Anakin barely held his anger in check, the ones who had hurt you were dead and you needed him more now. By the time you were blinking awake Anakin had managed to calm himself, smiling at you and assuring you everything was fine even as his heart raced and he remembered the fear that coursed through him each day you were gone.
When Kix finally gave you the all clear Anakin wrapped his arm around you despite your, admittedly weak protests that you were fine. You felt much better but you were never going to push Anakin’s touch away. You let Anakin lead you to his quarters on the ship, both of you needing to be close to one another after the past few days.
It wasn’t until you were in bed together, nothing unusual especially since the Clone Wars began, you and Anakin had often shared a sleeping space. Anakin had you in his arms, finally calm as he listened to you breathe evenly against his chest. He pressed his lips to your head and murmured soft words against your hair, telling you how scared he had been, how he couldn’t lose you.
It was only when you turned your head to look up at him, your expression so full of understanding, of shared fear of what could happen during the War, of love. Anakin could hardly have stopped himself, he’d been so good keeping to himself, knew the kind of scrutiny you were under at the Temple, but here on the ship it was just the two of you, no need to pretend that there were no feelings between the two of you.
That night was spent trading lazy kisses and smiles full of so much happiness, years of feelings finally allowed to be felt.
Of course neither of you were foolish, you knew the risks of a secret relationship, knew it was a dangerous game to play. Away from Coruscant it was easier to manage and whilst you weren’t foolish, you weren’t always all too good at keeping away from each other. Thankfully the Clones were capable of keeping secrets they learnt out on the field a secret from those back home, something you and Anakin were immensely grateful for after being caught locked at the lips by more than one trooper.
Being back in Coruscant was challenging, especially when you were there for longer stretches of time which was becoming few and far between as the war stretched on. It seemed like since the Clone Wars began everyone was keeping an even closer eye on you each time you returned home. The sneaking around and all the risks that came with being together were worth it, especially when you got to spend your nights together.
The two of you talked about everything but the topic you liked most was what you would do when the Clone Wars were won. If Anakin had asked you months ago, before the Clone Wars began, you would have left the Order to be with him, of that you had no doubt. Now both of you were a part of a fight, one neither of you would walk away from until it was finished, but it didn’t stop you dreaming of a life together far, far away.
So many different ideas got tossed around but the one you liked most was a quiet life together, just you and Anakin, a little house that was just yours, away from the questioning eyes of the Council, away from people judging if your feelings for Anakin were wrong. Both you and Anakin had made such promises and plans for the future, neither one of you believing that your relationship could break, there was so much love there that the thought was impossible.
And the thought only became more and more unthinkable as years passed, both of you had grown a lot in the years of the Clone Wars. You really had no choice but to adapt, to toughen your emotions but it only made you and Anakin lean on each other even more, the longer the war lasted the more you tried to hold on hope of the future you whispered about in the early hours of the morning.
But there was a shift in the Force that had you on edge, had you feeling like you couldn’t trust anybody. Anakin felt it too, you know he did but he refused to talk about it with you. You didn’t think too much of it at first, the war was dragging everybody down but Anakin was still angry and lost with the loss of Ahsoka, the shift in the Force only making his mood worse.
Each day passed and you could feel the power of the Dark Side growing more and more, leaving you feeling cold and hopeless for the future of the war. Anakin was going off more and more these days, something that had you raising an eyebrow since the two of you were practically always together, now it felt like you hardly saw him.
When you did finally see him again it was to greet Ahsoka, the young ex-Padawan looking so much more grown up than she had only a few short years ago. Somehow it felt like this war had been going on for much longer than three years, it felt like it was all you’d ever known. Anakin had looked tired and only gave you the bare minimum of responses but when Ahsoka finally arrived his whole face lit up and you couldn’t help the sad smile that pulled at your lips, you really couldn’t wait for this war to be over.
It wasn’t much later than that when Ahsoka was leaving with Rex and half of the 501st that Anakin excused himself after glancing down at his comm, murmuring something about meeting with the Chancellor. You barely suppressed an eyeroll, something about the man had always set you on edge but you’d never been able to figure out why. Anakin had always told you what a great man he was, wise and willing to teach him, but you never bought into the kind, grandfather act.
You let your thoughts wander until Cody came to alert you that Obi-Wan had received a message asking for you and him to meet with the Council, Anakin already there before you arrived with news to share. Hearing him say that the Jedi finally had their chance with Grievous had you feeling a spark of hope, one you hadn’t felt for a while, Ahsoka was on her way to attempt to capture Darth Maul and if the Jedi were successful then this war could be over.
“The Chancellor has requested that I lead the campaign to capture Grievous.” Anakin said and you frowned slightly, looking around the room and seeing the immediate disagreement, quietly sighing knowing it wouldn’t go over well with Anakin.
“No,” Master Windu said, not wasting time, “the Chancellor does not get to decide on these matters.”
“Agree, I do.” Master Yoda said and you watched Anakin’s face shift into a cold, emotionless look. “A master, we shall send.”
It wasn’t even a conversation that needed happening, one Master said Obi-Wan was the Jedi for the job and everybody agreed.
“Skywalker, your mission is to…observe the Chancellor, he won’t suspect anything amiss since he trusts you.” Master Windu said and you watched Anakin frown.
“Suspect? You want me to spy on the Chancellor? What reason do you have for this request?” Anakin exclaimed and you couldn’t help the quiet sigh that escaped you.
“Nothing concrete yet, nothing that you need to concern yourself with, just watch the Chancellor.” Master Windu commanded before turning to you. “Y/L/N, you will accompany Master Kenobi to Utapau and assist with the takedown of General Grievous.”
“And now you’re not even letting me and Y/N work together? You only wished to send a Master to Utapau and now you’re letting her go.” Anakin interrupted but both you and Master Windu ignored him. “Send me to Utapau instead, there is no need to spy on the Chancellor!”
“Of course, Master Windu.” You agreed and Anakin turned to look at you in disbelief, you could all see he was gearing up to say something but you spoke before he could. “If me and Anakin could be dismissed, I’d like to talk to him before our missions?”
“Of course Y/N,” Obi-Wan said softly, a tired smile pulling at his lips. “I’ll have Cody prepare the ship, join us as soon as possible.”
With that you nodded towards the Master’s before gesturing for Anakin to follow you out of the room who did so with a small huff. You lead him to an empty room, making  sure the door closed behind you before you went to talk but before you could Anakin beat you to it.
“Can you believe this?” He huffed again, pacing the room with his arms crossed. “They suspect the Chancellor is a part of something, it’s ridiculous I’ve known the man since I was a child, he just wants to help. Not only that but they want to tear us apart, I won’t let them do it, Y/N!”
“Anakin,” You said slowly, taking a step back towards the door, there was anger coming from Anakin you had never felt before, he was practically radiating burning rage and it felt like it was trying to wrap around you, consume you, to the point where it was almost overwhelming. “I can’t speak for the Council’s decision to observe the Chancellor but for them to think it necessary then something must have happened-”
“Nothing happened, Y/N! Can’t you see, this is just another plan to keep us apart.” You couldn’t help but frown at the words, Anakin kept repeating them, convinced the Council had finally decided to put a stop to yours and Anakin’s bond.
“Anakin, we’re fighting a war! The Council couldn’t care less what we get up to in our free time, not right now. Can’t you feel it Anakin, the war is coming to an end,” You told him desperately trying to dispel some of his anger, stepping forward and wrapping your hands around his crossed arms, “after that what they have to say won’t matter. We’ll have done our part, we’ve fought this war for so long but soon it’ll be done and we can pick one of the thousand lives we’ve wished for and make it our own.”
“They’ll never allow us to do that, you have to see they want to take you away from me.” You had never understood why the Jedi forbid relationships, in the whole time you had known Anakin, in the time you’d had with him you had never felt anything bad from your bond but right here with him you could see why the Jedi forbid attachments. There was something unsettling about the possessive, almost dark look in Anakin’s eyes, the way his pupils widened until you could barely see the colour surrounding it. “Why else would they send you with Obi-Wan?”
“They’re sending me with Obi-Wan because he’s preparing to take on Grievous, he’ll need backup. If I suddenly showed up at the Chancellor's office don’t you think he’d get suspicious?” You said, keeping your voice clear and calm even though you felt anything but.
“Do you want to be with me, Y/N?” Anakin asked suddenly and you couldn’t help but frown.
“Don’t ask stupid questions, Anakin. You know I love you more dearly than anything.” You told him honestly, even with this dark cloud that seemed to hang over him, you hoped it was just because the end of the war was approaching and that once it was won everything would go back to normal.
“Stay with me then. Obi-Wan has the 212th, they’ll be his backup.” Anakin pleaded but you were already shaking your head.
Before you could say anything though you comm went off and Anakin’s face darkened as Obi-Wan’s voice filled the room.
“Y/N, we’re ready on the ship.” He told you, “Do be quick, I’d like to capture Grievous quickly without giving him a chance to escape again.”
“Don’t go with him, he wants to keep us apart.” Anakin told you but you shook your head again.
“I’ll be right there, Master Kenobi.” You said softly into your comm and suddenly Anakin’s hand was around your wrist, holding tightly to him. “Anakin, let go of me.”
Anakin didn’t say anything, just stared at you with a dark look on his face. You held his gaze until he released your arm with a sigh and you didn’t waste any time before leaving the room, not looking back as you made your way to the hangar bay where Obi-Wan waited with the 212th.
“Ready to end a war, Y/N?” Obi-Wan asked as you joined him on the ship, the warm smile on his face such a sharp contrast to the fiery, dark look on Anakin’s.
There was no time to think about that now though, Obi-Wan was right, it was time to end a war. General Grievous was so close, if today went well the war would be over, peace would spread across the galaxy and you would happily leave the Order behind to start a new life with Anakin.
“Let’s do it, Master.” You grinned at him, pushing all thoughts of Anakin out of your head for the moment.
Everything would work out just fine.
It wasn’t the longest battle you had ever fought but it was tiring, thankfully the exhaustion was beat out by the excitement, knowing that you were so close to the end gave you all the energy you needed.
Just as Grievous threw you aside, the air leaving your lungs as you crashed into the wall, you lifted your head up, watching as Obi-Wan clung to the ledge. You watched as he used the Force, drawing a blaster into his fist before he took the shot at Grievous with no hesitation.
You could only stare wide eyed as Obi-Wan kept shooting until there was nothing left but useless remains of Grievous, a breath of relief, of disbelief leaving you. That was it, that was what was needed, the war was won.
“So uncivilised.” Obi-Wan said as he threw the gun causing you to laugh and he immediately walked past Grievous' remains and held a hand out for you, wrapping his arm around your shoulder once you were up and wincing.
“Congratulations, Obi-Wan, you just won a war.” You grinned at him, both of you beaming happily, waiting for years for this moment and it was finally here.
“I couldn’t have done it without your help, young one.” Obi-Wan chuckled, “come, let us go and assist Cody and the others.”
Obi-Wan and you quickly made your way over to Cody, letting him know the news and prepared to make quick work of the rest of the battle so you could return to Coruscant together. As you and Obi-Wan made your way up towards the higher levels you were stopped by blasts directed at you, the fall and then the shock of the water startling you.
“Obi-Wan!” You yelled as you re-emerged from the water, coughing as you looked around. Obi-Wan came up for air seconds later, yelling at you to follow him and he tossed you an aquata breather.
“Come on, we must get to a ship and find out what’s happening.” Obi-Wan whispered once the two of you were a safe enough distance away, Obi-Wan climbing out of the water first, beginning the climb up the wall, holding a hand out to help you up too.
It didn’t take you long to get back to the surface, you and Obi-Wan sharing a glance once you realised it was the Clones that were targeting you. Obi-Wan put a finger to his mouth, gesturing for you to stay quiet before motioning for you to follow him.
It wasn’t long before the two of you got to a ship, both of you climbing in and Obi-Wan didn’t waste any time getting the two of you off of Utapau. You were breathing heavily by the time Obi-Wan had the ship off the planet, the Master immediately taking control of the situation in a way only he knew how to do, sending out an emergency code in a clear and calm voice, the complete opposite to your shaky hands and panting breaths.
Listening to Senator Organa tell you that it wasn’t just the 212th that had turned against the Jedi but it seemed to be every Battalion sent an ache through your heart. For years the Jedi had fought side by side with these troopers, they had become family and to have them turn on you all, it was like you could feel each loss.
The journey to Master Yoda was a silent one, both you and Obi-Wan lost in your heads, thoughts racing a mile a minute. How had things gone so wrong in the span of a few hours, this battle on Utapau was meant to win you the war, it was supposed to be cause for celebration, not whatever this was.
“Good to see you, it is, Master Kenobi, Young Y/N.” Yoda greeted as you and Obi-Wan boarded the ship.
“Master Yoda, thank the Force you’re alright.” You said as you made your way over to him and the Senator, leaning into Bail’s touch as he set a steadying hand on your shoulder.
“How many other Jedi survived?” Obi-Wan asked as Master Yoda gestured for you all to follow him.
“Heard from no one, have we.” Master Yoda told you both and Bail told you of the attack on the Temple and on Coruscant, thousands of troopers attacking and killing any Jedi inside, killing the younglings without a shred of mercy. You stopped walking suddenly causing Obi-Wan to walk into the back of you and call your name but you were staring down at Master Yoda with wide, watery eyes, shaking your head.
“What about Anakin?” You choked out around the sudden lump in your throat. “You’ve heard from Anakin right?”
“Only hope, can we, remains safe, young Skywalker does.” Master Yoda said, suddenly sounding older and more tired than you had ever heard him before.
You stumbled backwards into Obi-Wan’s chest, the man’s hands coming up to your arms to steady you and you immediately turned and buried your head into his chest, sobs wracking your body as he held you close.
“It doesn’t make sense, we know the troopers, we’ve fought at their side for years! Why would they suddenly turn on us?” You cried into his chest and Obi-Wan shushed you, his hand rubbing up and down your back as he looked down at Master Yoda.
“Have we heard anything from the Temple?” He asked, trying to stay strong, stay composed because right now he needed to be a Jedi Master, he could fall apart later.
You listened to the rest of the conversation, hearing the others tell Obi-Wan that all Jedi have been requested back to the Temple, shaking your head into his chest. You heard Obi-Wan say you must go back and stop others from walking into a trap, the two Jedi agreeing that dismantling the code was the only course of action.
You didn’t care about any of that though, all you could do was close your eyes and reach out with the Force. There was far too much distance between you and Anakin but it didn’t stop you from trying to find him, from pleading with him to meet you halfway through your connection and just show you he was alive.
The answering silence sent a wave of fear crashing through you, Anakin couldn’t be dead…he just couldn’t be.
You let yourself be guided into a seat at the front of the ship, only half aware of the plan to sneak into the Jedi Temple whilst Palpatine held a meeting with the Senate. There was an overwhelming amount of anxiety coursing through you on the journey to Coruscant, knowing that if Anakin wasn’t there then the troopers must have gotten to him first. You knew Anakin was a skilled fighter, one of the best Jedi you’d ever met, but even he would be caught off guard by the Clones suddenly attacking.
When you were landed you were forced to snap back to reality, the Temple was guarded by Clones and every one you took down sent an ache through you, especially when you saw their helmets telling you it was the 501st you were fighting, but eventually you were inside the Temple, following closely behind Obi-Wan and Master Yoda as you walked the halls, trying not to look down at the younglings, not until Master Yoda announced they had been killed by a lightsaber.
The security codes were taken care of by Obi-Wan, whilst he and Master Yoda spoke quietly together you couldn’t help but wander over to the displays. Glancing around to see them occupied, you pressed some buttons to access the security recordings, using Obi-Wan’s password to see them.
All you had to do was press play and you would see who had done this, see if you could see any traces of Anakin and prayed to the Force he had managed to escape.
You held your breath as you started the footage, forwarding through the holo recording before stopping, letting it play at normal speed. Tears filled your eyes, a choked gasp escaping you as you stumbled back, like somehow putting distance between you and the recording would make it less real.
It couldn’t be real, Anakin wasn’t capable of that. You believed that with your whole being and yet the proof was playing out before you. You couldn’t stop the sob that left you, knees buckling and you would have fallen to the floor if Obi-Wan had been there to catch you and keep you up right.
Obi-Wan finally turned the footage off when Anakin was pronounced as Lord Vader, shaking his head and pulling you closer to him.
“Destroy the Sith, we must.” Master Yoda said and you pulled away from Obi-Wan, tears staining your cheeks.
“You can’t kill Anakin!” You protested just as Obi-Wan told the other Jedi he couldn’t kill his old Padawan but Master Yoda gave neither of you a choice in the matter, saying it was too late for Anakin, he was gone and only this new Dark version remained.
You couldn’t believe it, you refused to believe it. Not when you knew Anakin better than you knew yourself, not when you had been there when the war became too much and held him against your chest as he cried for all those who had fallen under his command. Not when you had seen his whole face lit up as he snuck the two of you out of the Temple, not when you had felt him hold you so gently, whispering sweet nothings into your hair, so soft and sweet with you.
He couldn’t be gone.
Of course you had known something had changed in the past few months, especially more over the last few days but surely you couldn’t have missed so much that Anakin had fallen to the Dark Side. No, you couldn’t believe that. Master Yoda might have been so ready to give up on Anakin but you weren’t, you knew there had to be some light left in him, Anakin always seemed to shine so brightly, the Darkness couldn’t engulf it all.
“Young Y/N,” Master Yoda said as he turned to leave, “gone is the man you knew. From your attempts to bring him back, only pain and death and suffering will come. What you know is right, do, for the galaxy.”
You didn’t say anything and he walked away without expecting a reply, leaving you and Obi-Wan alone with your memories of a bright boy you both loved deeply, neither of you ready to believe what you had seen.
You let Obi-Wan take the lead, waiting alone for him to tell you he had found Anakin and when he did he gave you a choice.
“I understand if you do not wish to come,” He said softly, you following him out to the ship and trying not to cry again. “I would hardly blame you for wishing to stay away but you may just be the one who is able to bring Anakin back.”
It wasn’t a difficult choice and you boarded the ship alongside Obi-Wan, not bothering to ask where you were going. You were silent for a long time, thoughts running wild before you spoke.
“What did you mean, I might be the one to bring Anakin back?” You asked quietly, turning to look at Obi-Wan, the man keeping his gaze out the window.
“Please do have some respect for my intelligence, Y/N.” Obi-Wan said softly, a small smile that didn’t meet his eyes pulling at his lips as he turned to look at you. “Do you really believe you and Anakin have been so discreet that I haven’t noticed? Of course I know the two of you are together. I know that he would have left the Order for you had you asked and I know you’d have done the same for him.”
“You never said anything.” You said after a few moments of silence, of course Obi-Wan knew and of course he had never given you away to the Council.
“I care deeply for you both, I only wanted you both to be happy.” Was Obi-Wan’s reply before the ship filled with silence again, a planet could be seen in the distance and you took a deep breath, preparing yourself for whatever awaited you on the fiery planet.
“There he is.” Obi-Wan said once you landed, watching a hooded figure leaving the building and you stood first, stopping Obi-Wan before he could stand.
“Let me talk to him first, please Obi-Wan.” You begged him, eyes wide and watery and Obi-Wan hesitated for a moment, eyes darting out of the window before settling back on you.
“Fine but if anything goes wrong I want you to leave me to deal with it, you get back on the ship.” Obi-Wan said, his tone leaving no room for disagreement and you nodded, not wanting to hurt Anakin.
If it came to it you didn’t envy what Obi-Wan would have to do.
“Good luck, Y/N.” Obi-Wan murmured as he opened the hatch and you made your way off the ship, meeting Anakin as he came down the stairs.
“Y/N!” He called, marching over to you and engulfing you in his arms.
Despite everything you had seen, despite the proof so clearly shown to you, you couldn’t help but sink into his arms, gripping his robes between your fingers and crying silently into his chest. Anakin hushed you, feeling your shoulders shaking against him as he tucked you under his chin, his lips pressed to your head.
“I’m so glad you’re safe.” He whispered into your hair and you shook your head, allowing yourself one more moment, one more moment to memorise the way his arms felt around you, the way he felt so strong and steady and desperately hoped this worked out, that you could have this moment again.
“Anakin, what are you doing here?” You cried as you stepped out of his arms, Anakin’s hands not leaving you as they settled on your forearms. “Tell me none of it is true and I’ll believe you.”
“None of what is true?” He asked, his tone deep and cold, sending a shudder through you.
Deep down you knew all of it to be true but until you heard it from Anakin you could let yourself hope.
“Tell me you didn’t fall to the Dark Side, tell me the death and destruction, the killing of the younglings, tell me none of it was you. Tell me you are not this Darth Vader.” You pleaded with him, watching his eyes go cold as his expression hardened. “Please Anakin, please I’m begging you, tell me it isn’t true.”
“I did this for you, Y/N!” Anakin told you, tightening his grip on you. “Don’t you see that, all of this was for us, for you. The Jedi, they are not to be trusted anymore, now the galaxy belongs to us, Y/N! There’s nothing the Council can do anymore, they can’t take you away from me.”
Your blood turned cold and it felt like your heart had stopped. It was all true, you had known it, but now you couldn’t deny it, couldn’t hope that there was some misunderstanding, some deception. It was all true.
“Anakin,” you sobbed, taking a step back and forcing his hands to drop from your arms. “I don’t want this, I don’t want the galaxy. I just want you, Anakin, that is all I ever wanted.”
“And we can have that. With the Jedi gone we are free, don’t you see it? They were going to take you from me, force us apart but now they can’t.” Anakin told you, trying to make you see reason like you were the one who was being unreasonable. “You’re mine, Y/N! I’d kill anyone that tried to take you from me. I won’t lose you.”
“Whatever the Chancellor has told you, whatever he has filled your head with, it’s all lies!” You told him, desperate to break through, to find that small sliver of Light you hoped to be buried within him somewhere. “It’s all lies, nobody was going to take you away from me, I promise. We had a plan, remember, fight the war side by side and then we would do what we wanted with the rest of our lives. We had victory in our fingertips, Anakin, Grievous is dead, we could have gone anywhere, left the Order behind peacefully.”
“They wouldn’t have let that happen!” Anakin protested and you forced yourself closer to him, cupping his cheek and bringing his forehead down to rest of yours, Anakin’s hands automatically wrapping around your waist.
“Of course they would, Ahsoka left and they let her. We were so close, Anakin, none of this destruction was needed. We could have left.” You told him brokenly, tears still sliding down your face. “Stop this now, stop this madness and we can leave together, just take a ship and leave together, we’ll find our own corner of the galaxy, we don’t need it all.”
Anakin was silent for a moment before he looked behind you and you cursed silently when you heard him mutter Obi-Wan’s name.
“I knew it! They want to tear us apart!” Anakin roared and you took a step closer to him.
Anakin-”
“Don’t, you’re a liar! You would just let them take you from me!” He cried out and you moved back when you felt his anger and rage in the Force, the strength of it almost knocking you down.
“Anakin, I love you, I love you more dearly than anything else. Stop this, please, just stop this. We can leave together, Obi-Wan can tell them you won’t be a problem anymore, all of it can be forgotten.” You knew even as you spoke that your words were a lie, the image of Anakin slaughtering your fellow Jedi, slaughtering dozens of younglings, without a shred of mercy was seared into your head.
It seemed Anakin knew your words were a lie too.
“I did this for you, Y/N! You’re all I wanted, all I ever wanted, I couldn’t let them take you.” He told you again, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe you couldn’t see it.
“Don’t put your actions on my head, Anakin. Don’t force me to blame myself for the death of the Jedi, the destruction of the galaxy.” You told him, tone firm but soft. “I never asked for this. I wanted us to fight the Clone Wars, to fight alongside our troops and restore peace in the galaxy and then I wanted to just leave the Order behind us. Nobody would have stopped us. Everything could have been different, Anakin. Why would you walk away from everything we had, from everything we ever spoke and dreamt of?”
“Y/N, I know of their plans, they were never going to let us see each other after the war. I saw it! Just the visions alone were enough to drive me mad, to actually live it, to not have you at my side-”
“Don’t you see, Anakin, none of it was real. The Chancellor, Darth Sidious, whatever he calls himself, he was manipulating you, using any means necessary to get you where he wanted you. Surely you can see it?” You pleaded with him to see sense but knew realistically he was too far gone. “He knows of our love and he is using it for his own gain. Don’t let all those words we said become nothing. I meant everything, did you?”
“You dare question my love for you?” Anakin snarled, one hand raised and suddenly you were in the air with the breath snatched from you.
Obi-Wan finally stepped off the runway, heart breaking at the scene before him. He truly had believed and desperately hoped that you could bring Anakin back but the Anakin he knew would sooner hurt himself than hurt you.
“Admit it, Obi-Wan, you want to take her from me!” Anakin shouted. “I won’t let you.”
“Anakin, don't be foolish. If you truly believe I haven’t known about you and Y/N for years now then I have done my job too well. If I were so against this I have had plenty of opportunities to tell the Council.” Obi-Wan said and that gave Anakin pause but whatever bit of doubt he had quickly left as he shook his head, the Chancellor’s manipulations running too deep.
Your eyes darted to Obi-Wan, panicked and scared, but the other man just gave you a small nod. You desperately hoped Obi-Wan could get you both out of this alive, though with Anakin’s madness, the way the Dark Side seemed to be eating him up, you weren’t particularly enthusiastic about your survival rates.
“Anakin, come with me. All three of us can return to Coruscant, we can fix this. Don’t do something you’ll live to regret here.” Obi-Wan said calmly but it seemed to only anger Anakin.
“You think I’d fall for such a trap, Master?” Anakin spat, the word like venom coming from his tongue and you watched as Obi-Wan let out a small wince, unable to hide it. “I know what fate awaits me if we go with you.”
“Anakin, please listen to him!” You managed to choke out but Anakin only tightened his Force grip on your neck and your fingers scratched at the phantom pressure, your vision dancing with black dots.
“You claim to love her and yet you’re killing her, Anakin!” Obi-Wan exclaimed, lighting his lightsaber and taking a step towards Anakin.
“You truly think you can beat me, Obi-Wan? I have powers you couldn’t even begin to understand. Soon I shall take my rule in my new Empire and Y/N will stand by my side.”
“No, Anakin, she won’t.” The words sent a fresh wave of anger through Anakin and his fist closed tightly.
You felt your airways completely close, lungs burning as you choked, pain spreading throughout your body. It wasn’t until Anakin threw your body aside, painfully hitting the ship that you were left struggling for air, slumping down on the ground and letting your head hit the floor, the sounds of lightsabers hitting against each other the last thing you heard before darkness took over.
You don’t know how much time passed but at some point you felt your body being moved, your eyes flew open and you pushed away from the hands on you, scared Anakin had won. There was no need for it though as Obi-Wan crouched down in front of you, hands raised and you let out a shaky breath.
You let Obi-Wan help you up onto unsteady feet but a groaning from your right had you turning your head, even as Obi-Wan tried to pull your gaze away. You gasped, knees buckling and sobs escaping you as you saw Anakin’s body aflame, broken groans and screams leaving him as he shouted after Obi-Wan, after he saw you standing.
“I’m sorry.” Obi-Wan murmured sadly, tears in his eyes as he pulled you into his arms and led you back towards the ship.
Once you were sat in the seat your eyes immediately found Anakin, the picture before you would forever haunt your waking days as well as your dreams, it would be one that stayed with you forever.
You didn’t know what you were supposed to do now, everything seemed so dark and hopeless. So much of your future had always involved Anakin but now Anakin was dead, left to burn on a fiery planet and you knew the pain would never leave you. You had never thought that what you and Anakin had would break, truly never thought you’d live to see the day, and yet here you were, flying away from him, heart broken so painfully for a future that was so close and lost just like that.

Kitsune!Anakin Anecdotes Pt.2
More Kitsune nonsense? More Kitsune nonsense! I haven’t bullied Anakin nearly enough with this even after having him change species. Why you ask? For the fuck of it. Context for this AU here.
Heightened Senses Anakin is now especially susceptible to flashbang grenades - light sensitivity and his highly sensitive hearing. It actually makes him throw up the first couple of times as the over-stimulation makes his body go haywire. This is a problem when you are on the frontline of a war. Cue Kix trying to wrestle his General into wearing some goddamn ear plugs when on an active battlefield.
Anakin: Doesn’t this just remove the advantage of my extra hearing?! Kix: I’d rather have to yell for you to hear me than have to watch you stand completley stunned and stationary in the middle of a battle again!
Additionally, Anakin and Ahsoka have to travel ahead of their troops in the dark because the light of their helmet torches would blot out their night vision. But if they happen to be lurking in a dark room and a trooper walks in, it scares the shit out of them because of the reflective retinas swivelling to stare back at them.
Cody: Why do you have motion activated lights on everywhere? Just use the switches Rex: Listen, the General and the Commander are damn quiet when they want to be, I like to know what I'm getting into when I enter a room Cody: Oh for god sakes. The Jedi are not that bad. Rex: Alright, Cody. Come back to me when your Jedi's eyes start glowing in the dark.
Familial Group Foxes don’t have packs but do operate as a familial unit. I can see Kitsune following the same trend, keeping close within the same bloodlines and the Kitsune with the greatest number of tails would be the highest in the heirachy of that family tree (usually this would also be the oldest member). The irony being, Anakin would already outrank the majority of the Kitsune population before the war even ended with his five tails.
The adult Kitsune urge to pick up cubs that have wondered off too far would creep up on him sometimes with the younglings in the Temple. Grabbing them with his teeth on the back of their robes and carting them back to their assorted rooms happens more often than Anakin would like to admit. He does it to Ahsoka as a joke. He does it to Obi-Wan as a threat.
Anakin: Go to bed. Obi-Wan: I will go when this is finished Anakin: [hauls him up] You will be going now.
More Transformation Pros and Cons Being able to shift just parts of his anatomy at a time takes a lot of practice but it comes in useful when he needs the extra grip claws grant him when climbing. Bigger ears to vent out extra heat like Fennec Foxes when in desert regions, or changing his limbs to furry, clawed apendages so as to avoid frostbite in the cold. Boots start rubbing the wrong way so Anakin takes them off and transforms just his feet into paws. Immediately steps in the bog without the protection of shoes.
Anakin: Ah. This is worse actually.
Having to deal with sensory hell on a new level when things get inbetween his paw pads. Suffering.
However, trying to hold Anakin prisoner now would be incredibly difficult. This bitch can turn himself into the most fidgety tiny fox known to man. Binders won't hold him because he can just slip straight out of them, any aircent not smaller than a datapad will just become an easy escape route, and manhandling him comes with the risk of having your hand bitten off.
Ventress throws him into a small cage at one point and Anakin doesn't want to risk going back to his normal size in case it damages him more than the cage. He spends the entire time glaring out from between the bars at his captors waiting for someone to try and get him out again. That or trying to gnaw his way through the bars.
Its like looking at an unexploded bomb. A very angry looking unexploded bomb.
Ventress: Nobody wants to unpack this, so let’s just throw the whole thing away.

This is such a fun idea! Thank you for tagging me, @imabeautifulbutterfly, and sorry for the late reblog. Also, I'm sorry for the weird spacing. My computer freaks out when I try to fix it.
How many works do you have on AO3? - 41!
What's your total AO3 word count? - 1.2 million at the moment
What fandoms do you write for? - Actively? Star Wars, Arcane, and a few random ones as they catch my interest. I'm trying to get better about writing short bursts of fun ideas instead of getting bogged down in 100k novels.
What are your top five fics by kudos? 1. Fluffy Trooper One-Shots (collection of all of my one-shots posted here), 2. Gar Cabur, 3. Good Intentions (Arcane NSFW fic), 4. Nobody Listens to Kix, and 5. Spicy Star Wars One-Shots (collection of NSFW one-shots originally posted on my mature sideblog)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I try really hard to! If I'm not busy, I prefer to be writing since I'm so far behind, but I'm trying to be better at answering comments. Especially the ones with a question or that point out specific parts of the fic!
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't really do angst, tbh. I think life is frustrating and a little sad, and I don't like my fics to be that way.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? As you can guess from the previous question, most of them! I really like happy endings. With me, if there's angst or sadness, it's not the ending yet.
Do you get hate on fics? Some of them! I wrote a novel-length Game of Thrones fic because I was so upset by the show's ending. Some people really didn't like the choices I made. But others did, and they're the ones my story was aimed at.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do! I wanted to see if I could, since I'm on the asexual spectrum. I'm not sure how to answer what kind, but in general, I write male characters and female readers. I'm thinking about branching out into same-sex relationships, but I don't know if I have the skill level to present things in the right way without coming off awkward or cringy.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I do not write crossovers. The closest I've ever come was a Deadpool fic I wrote. The Avengers made an appearance, but that's all loosely set in the same universe, so...
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of! I probably should keep a better eye on things, but I hope someone would tell me if they found my stories posted by someone else.
Have you ever had a fic translated? Again, not that I'm aware of. And I hope I would be aware! I think translation is so complex and cool that I would be super interested in the process.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, I have not. I come off a little unapproachable (definitely not on purpose). Also, my writing schedule is erratic. I think I would drive someone insane.
What's your all-time favorite ship? Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones. I'm a sucker for a reverse Beauty and the Beast situation, especially when it's focused on a hardworking but slightly plain girl. I relate a little too strongly!
What's the WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I wrote a smutty Jareth x reader fic based on Labyrinth (1986) that I love. It has super strong fae vibes and I have a loose idea of the plot for more chapters, but I don't know if I can keep up that specific kind of creativity long enough to finish the story as I see it.
What are your writing strengths? I've been complimented on my characterization! If I want a character to have a certain type of interaction, I have to get them to a place where they could realistically have that interaction. Otherwise, I think OOC can be really distracting.
What are your writing weaknesses? Endings. Utterly, unavoidably endings. I'm terrible at them!
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I like it if you can tell from context clues what the words mean. If it's a dialogue-heavy scene in another language, I get frustrated scrolling to the bottom over and over to figure out what's happening. And if the translations are in parentheses, it can be distracting. I prefer to write endearments and easy to understand phrases in other languages, or make the reader character's confusion part of the plot.
First fandom you wrote for? Yikes. In high school, I wrote a fic based on a very formulaic romance series (the Dark series by Christine Feehan). My OC didn't fall into the typical pattern for female characters because I wanted to explore what would happen with the rest of the story as a result.
Favorite fic you've ever written? This hurts! I would have to say either Gar Cabur or Nobody Listens to Kix. NLtK was so fun and easy to write that I still think about adding to the story. And Gar Cabur was such a surprise since I knew nothing about Alpha-17, but then I couldn't get enough of him!
Tagging some people I know as being talented writers, but there is absolutely no pressure! @leotatombs @just-some-girl-92 @kimageddon
If you write and want to consider this your tag, please do! I love to hear about the thoughts that people have about their own work.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
In a fictional language? Sparse use of Mando’a can be fun! I’ve not yet attempted an irl language other than English
19. First fandom you wrote for?
…One Direction… please don’t look at me I do not wish to be perceived
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
Evenly Trimmed (E)

Systems’ Scourge
I am no Jedi.
She says the words every time someone questions the sabers. She says it, day in, day out, and tells herself to believe it. She says it, and word spreads, because this way her actions don’t reflect on the Republic.
She was kicked out of the Order because she was framed for terrorism.
It’s all she does now, technically. She’s a terrorist, by some definition, even if her chosen targets are slavers and drugs lords.
Her actions must not reflect on the Republic.
“General.”
She turns away from the transparisteel, away from the blur of hyperspace, and into the arms of the man she trusts above all others.
“Almost there?” she asks.
“Another hour,” Rex confirms. He waits until she steps to join him, brushing their shoulders together as they walk through the ship, beskar to durasteel.
(Bo-Katan hadn’t necessarily liked her very much, but she’d had her own strange code of honor. She chose her payments, but she ensured compensation when and where she could. And so it went: beskar for the girl without a home who helped Mandalore, even as it almost killed her.)
(The boys... well. They haven’t been able to afford proper durasteel and beskar alloy armor for everyone yet, but they’re working on it.)
We are not Mando’ade.
“Kix got back to me,” he says. “We running low on bacta again.”
“Do we still have the funds from Zygerria?”
“More than.”
“Approved,” she says, and he laughs. She rolls her eyes. “You already handled it, didn’t you?”
“Of course, cyar’e.”
She doesn’t outrank him anymore. They are equals, in this and all things. He can approve anything she can. The only time she has authority is when they’re playing roles for the underworld.
The only time he has authority is when it comes to Kamino.
“What ate it up this time?” she asks instead.
“Had a few new arrivals,” he says. “Nobody you knew, mostly shinies. Fives is helping them adjust to being alive again.”
“Echo isn’t helping?”
“Migraines.”
“I see,” she says, and casts her eyes across the corridors. Strangely empty. “I’m assuming you’re leading me somewhere?”
“Jesse wants to give you a cultural debrief before we land.”
“We’ve been to Serenno,” she says, frowning heavily. “Dooku knows us. Does Jesse think he’s already fallen and we need to readjust? I didn’t think he was anywhere close last time we checked in.”
“He’s got visitors,” Rex says, grimacing. “From the Trade Federation.”
Oh, lovely. “He does realize the galaxy knows my face at this point, right? Isn’t he worried about the Federation getting word to Republic that the Count is hosting the terrorist they’ve spent two years fearing and hunting?”
Rex shrugs. “I think Jesse might be planning a disguise.”
She wrinkles her nose. “Great. Just love the smell of cosmetics.”
"Only a few hours,” he assures her.
“Yeah, yeah,” she sighs, and decides to switch the topic. “The shinies, all 501st?”
“Affirmative.”
“And still no other GAR ships on the comms?”
“None yet.” He’s as unhappy about it as she is. She doesn’t even after feel out along the bond. He’s still holding out hope for a Marshall Commander that didn’t live long enough to see Order 66 hit. She’s still hoping for almost any Jedi that remembers the war, instead of the pleasant strangers that call her Dark.
I am no Jedi, she tells them, even as their faces shade towards confusion at her white blades. She is not Fallen, and it shows in her kyber. They don’t know what to make of her.
“Republic might start building their own army soon,” she says instead. It’s an old refrain. They both know Kuat is building ships to match their precious Venator. The Survivor, she’d named it, unable to figure out which broken vessel had been given to her in this time she’d never lived. “We need allies, not just Dooku’s bankrolling. Has Fett--”
“No,” Rex says, short and grim. “Denal got close, we think, but he said he’s not going to talk to dar’manda that take orders from a Jedi.”
Lots wrong with that sentence.
“Didn’t get him to look anyone’s face?” she guesses.
“Not enough time,” Rex says. “Denal says it was a firefight. Couldn’t risk taking a helmet off.”
“And without the faces, nobody could get him to listen anything else,” she concludes. “You’d think he would have seen the wanted posters.”
“Think he’s of the opinion that if it walks like a Jedi, talks like a Jedi, carries a saber like a Jedi...”
She rolls her eyes. “So we’re back to square one, looking to hire on new soldiers that someone’s going to have to train, that we’ll have to convince Dooku to help pay for when we can’t appropriate funds from the Hutts, that probably won’t measure up to clone standards or have any sense of how to work with you, and will be security risks.”
“About sums it up, sir.”
She shoots him a look. “You’re making fun of me.”
He grins, easy as anything. “Wouldn’t dream of it. Sir.”
She bumps her fist into the metal on his upper arm. “Remind me why I married you?”
“Well, we were pretty kriffed up,” Rex fake-muses. “Pretty sure the trauma was a big part of it.”
“Of course.”
“And we can’t forget that time you started crying on me while we were making out.”
“No doubt.”
“And we’ve been friends for the better part of a decade now, so that’s going on the list.”
“I wouldn’t dream of not including our many years of shared horrors.”
“Or that Dooku kept asking when we were going to make things official.”
“I never should have told him I was part of his lineage,” she sighs, just as they reach the door to Jesse’s favorite Cultural Debrief room. There’s an old-school projector in there, and far more cosmetics and undercover costumes than the average person would expect. It’s a fun room.
Ahsoka turns and lifts up on her toes, just enough to press her lips to his. Rex tilts his head, presses back just a moment, and then pulls away. They grip each other’s forearms, and Ahsoka doesn’t shy away when he presses his forehead to hers.
“How much longer?” he asks.
It’s the same question, every time. She never has an answer.
She was raised to keep the peace. He was born to fight for it. Neither of them have ever truly known it.
She’s not sure they ever will.
“Jesse’s waiting,” she mutters, and pulls away. He matches her smile, small and tired, but meant only for the other. She turns to the door, takes a deep breath, and steps on through. “Okay, who are we preparing today, because I’m sure as hell not meeting Gunray as General Fulcrum.”
“We’re thinking Princess Ashla this time,” Jesse says, completely unruffled by the loud entrance. “Unless you want to play up the ‘Dooku’s adopted granddaughter’ thing. The Count might appreciate it.”
“Hard pass,” she says, dropping into the makeup chair. “Princess Ashla it is.”
I am no Jedi, and so I do what they cannot.
