I'm not okay on any level

Okay, so overall, I'm relatively satisfied with the ending. I also cried about as much as I would have done if they all died so my emotions are still all over the place. Do I think every question we had came to a satisfying conclusion? Not quite. But I think we tied up enough loose ends for me to be content.

And I'm happy they got a somewhat happy ending. Knowing that they get to live a life in relative peace makes me happy, and we know that Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair at least make it another few years. Omega joining the Rebellion also seems apt. As an Echo girly I unfortunately don't feel quite as secure with where we left off. I don't have the same level of closure that I do with the others because we know that around this point in time, he isn't with Rex. But he also isn't with the Batch either. I hope we get to see more of him in future projects because I don't quite feel satisfied with this being the end of his story. He's doing too much for it to stop there.

Also... we were wrong about Tech. The level of delusion we carried throughout this season, my god. 😭 But it means I'm confused by some of their choices. The way they focused on being savvy with technology, the way he moves being similar to Tech, FUCKING DOMICILE??? Like, they have to have known that we would all go that way with our theories so why??? If it wasn't him they why was he written the way he was? I refuse to believe everything we thought was purely out of delusion. Does this mean I have issues with the way Tech's story ended? Yes. But overall I think the show wrapped up fairly well.

I'll try and drop some more thoughts later down the line once I've pulled myself together a bit, but for now I can say that I am content. Completely satisfied? Not really, but definitely content.

“Bobby Kennedy’s been shot!”

You stand next to Elvis, teary-eyed, as he clutches your hand like a lifeline. The two of you are directly in front of the tv in his dressing room, surrounded by the crew, all of you stunned as you absorb the news.

“We’re ready on set,” someone says quietly among the crowd. No one pays him any mind.

“Steve,” Bones says, “we gotta get back to work.”

Steve steps up, muting the tv.

“Listen,” he says, “I, uh, I just wanna say that… that this nation is hurting. It’s lost, y’know, it… it needs a voice right now to help it heal.” He gives the room a watery close-lipped smile, voice tight, “We have to say something.”

He turns and looks at your husband. “You have to make a statement, E.P.”

You turn at the sound of the curtain being pulled back as the Colonel enters the room.

“Mr. Presley does not make statements.” he says incredulously, working his way through the crowd, “He sings ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’ and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas, and good night.” He punctuates his statement with the push of a button, turning off the tv.

The crowd leaves, Steve and Bones giving you and Elvis each a comforting pat on the shoulder as they exit.

Elvis steps away to change out of his outfit for the special, leaving you and the Colonel alone in the other room. You sit down on the couch, ignoring him, and turn the tv back on, making sure to turn the volume up so your husband can hear the news coverage.

“Poor Mrs. Kennedy,” the Colonel sighs several minutes later, “it’s a tragedy. But, it had nothing to do with us.”

Elvis looks up, incredulous. “It has everything to do with us,” he says, stepping into the room.

“I just do not think we should be making speeches,” the Colonel explains, “about politics and religion—”

“Dr. King was shot 8 miles from Graceland while I was out here singin’ to turtles,” your husband scoffs, cutting him off. “And now this, and all you can think about is how many goddamn sweaters I can sell?”

“I am a promoter, that is what I do,” the Colonel says lightheartedly.

“And I’m Elvis Presley, that’s what I do!” your husband retorts, slamming the Coca-Cola bottle he’d grabbed on the desk with such force that it splashes onto the lighted mirror.

“Oh… Mr. Binder has certainly got inside of your head with all of his hippie friends,” the Colonel replies quietly. “You actually think that you singing your old songs dressed in black leather, sweating, mumbling incoherently to the audience was a good show?”

“Colonel, I know when I’ve excited an audience,” he replies with a subtle wink in your direction, showing off that confident smile he’d been missing for far too long.

“That was not a real audience, my boy,” the Colonel says matter-of-factly. “There was a sign flashing ‘applaud’ telling them when to clap for you. This entire jamboree was an embarrassment.”

He stands up from his chair, moving to stand beside Elvis. “You have embarrassed the sponsors, you have embarrassed yourself, you have embarrassed me. Now you can sing whatever songs you and Mr. Binder choose for 55 minutes,” he says dismissively, “but at the end of the show there will be a Christmas song. Or else we will be sued. No,” the Colonel amends, “you will be sued for breach of contract because I will no longer be the promoter of your career. I will have to leave you.”

Elvis only hums in response, face expressionless as he moves past the Colonel towards the door.

“Now I have convinced our friends at Singer Sewing Machines to come back tomorrow for ‘Here Comes Santa Claus,” the Colonel says. “I will see you in the morning, Mr. Presley. Oh, and as I recall,” he calls as Elvis steps out of the room, “Dr. King said rock and roll music contributed to juvenile delinquency.”

Elvis doesn’t deign to give a response as he closes the door, leaving you alone with the Colonel.

“How dare you.”

The Colonel turns to you as if he’d forgotten you were there, looking surprised at the outrage showing on your normally calm and collected face. You step forward, poking him in the chest.

“You have done nothing but manipulate him to try to shape him into whatever will make you the most profit— those damn movie musicals, this stupid Christmas special sponsored by sewing machines of all things? You dare to come in here and claim that those people out there were clapping because a flashing light told them to? Threaten to leave my husband after everything he’s done for you? You have no respect— none!— for the talent my husband has, and I for one would appreciate it if you left. Please.” You finish, nostrils flaring, and you feel as though you could burn a hole through the Colonel’s smug face with the fiery anger in your eyes.

The Colonel’s eyes narrow imperceptibly, his voice cold. “I have done nothing but care for that boy, Miss Y/N. I would strongly advise against saying anything like that ever again.”

You scoff in astonishment, “Care?! You’ve never cared about him; from the moment you saw him all you saw were dollar signs; a carnival attraction. My husband is a talented man who can hold his own in this business. We don’t need you. My Elvis doesn’t need you.”

“I know you want him all to yourself, but he will always need me, Miss Y/N—“

“No.” You cut him off, the condescension in his tone only succeeding in making you angrier, “You’re the one who needs him. And we both know that you’re absolutely terrified of the day he figures that out.”

You storm out, leaving the Colonel frozen in place trying to process your outburst.

After taking a few deep breaths to calm yourself, you head home, knowing that Elvis was going to be staying late at the studio to prep for tomorrow.

Unbeknownst to you, Steve went back to Elvis’s dressing room to try to talk to him about making a statement. He got there in time to see Elvis storm past him, looking like he was in no mood to talk, and then he heard your entire altercation with the Colonel.

Not knowing what to do, he decided it was best if he stayed out of it for now and returned to the control room to shut everything down.

He’s about to flip the last few switches when he hears Elvis singing the saddest rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” he had ever heard. He turns on the mic.

“We’re… pretty set for the number tomorrow, right E.P.? It’s pretty familiar territory?”

There’s a moment of silence, and then: “A reverend once told me, when things are too dangerous to say…” Elvis says, and Steve can see the spark of an idea in his eye, “sing.”

Steve, Bones, and Elvis work through the night on a new song, and only when Elvis is about to leave does Steve remember what he overheard earlier that night.

“E.P., hold on a second.”

Elvis stops in his tracks. “What’s up, Steve?”

“Look, I stopped by your dressing room earlier— I was gonna try to talk to you about making a statement, but you didn’t exactly seem in the mood to talk by the way you walked outta there,” he says with a dry laugh, “and I, uh… I overheard something.”

He proceeds to explain what he heard of your conversation with the Colonel. Elvis nods, listening intently. It was one thing to have flickers of thought like that for himself, but for you to outright say it all, to see the big picture… he realizes something has to be done.

“Thank you for tellin’ me, Steve” is all he says before he turns and walks away, a plan forming in his head.

The next morning, you arrive at the studio with Elvis. He had talked with you about his new song and his plan for filming today and you were completely on board, you couldn’t be prouder of him.

He had also talked with you about the conversation you and the Colonel had.

“I’ve had thoughts of droppin’ the Colonel for a bit, I’ll be honest,” he had admitted, “but to hear it the way you said it, all laid out with the big picture, I—“ He faltered for a moment, grasping your hand, “And then to hear the way he spoke to you… I’m firin’ him right after the performance today, I promise you baby.”

“I don’t want you rushing into anything, honey,” you had replied, concerned.

“Don’t worry, my love, I’ve got it all figured out. He won’t have his claws in me— in us anymore after today.” he had said, squeezing your hand reassuringly.

You stand near the set, decorated to look like a page out of A Christmas Carol. The Colonel surely loved that, you think, but he’s about to be very disappointed. You beam with pride as the cameras frantically turn to Elvis as he steps in front of the lighted sign and begins performing his new song, “If I Can Dream”, with more emotion than you’d ever seen in him.

The cameras cut after his performance and he turns to you, chest heaving. You run to him, and whisper as he wraps his arms around you, “That was incredible, baby.”

“Couldn’t have done it without you, darlin’” he whispers back, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.

The tender moment is interrupted by the Colonel storming down from the control room.

“Mr. Presley!” he shouts, face livid, “Was I not perfectly clear that there was to be a Christmas song today?”

“You were,” Elvis responds calmly, “I just thought that this was a smidge more important than sellin’ Christmas sweaters and sewing machines. Oh and by the way, Colonel,” he adds nonchalantly, “you’re fired.”

“I— what?” The Colonel looks genuinely confused for a moment, and you almost feel bad for him— before he opens his mouth to snow your husband yet again. “My boy, you don’t mean that! I’ve been with you through everything, we—“

“Yes, and I think it’s time we went our separate ways.” Elvis says firmly, “Especially after how you treated my wife.”

The Colonel blinks, then turns to you, his face nearly purple with anger. He hisses, “You did this, you—“

Your husband steps in front of you protectively. “Oh no, she didn’t do nothin’. You’ve had your claws in me since I started out and I am sick and tired of it. This was just the final straw. Security,” he calls “could we get this man escorted from the premises, please?”

The Colonel is escorted out, and Elvis turns to the control room, calling out, “Now I’m not sure if you fine folks from Singer Sewing Company are still here, but I’d still like to perform a Christmas song for y’all, seein’ as you came all the way here. Also, I’d very much like to avoid bein’ sued by y’all if I can help it,” he jokes. He performs a very sweet rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” (the irony is not lost on you with that one) before rushing everyone back to his home.

The two of you sit in your room, curled up in bed together while Jerry, Steve, and Vernon, along with a team of lawyers, try to figure out how to get the Colonel out of your lives for good.

“Y/N, my darlin’, my angel,” Elvis says quietly, “I’m so damn sorry about that damned evil man. You should never have had to put up with everything he did—“

He’s been apologizing for far too long today. You shake your head, “No, Elvis, I… I sensed something was off about that man the moment I met him, I should’ve said something sooner…”

“No, sweetheart, no,” He cups your cheek, turning your face so you’re looking into his eyes. His voice takes on a serious tone, wanting to make sure you hear and understand every word he’s about to say, “You did not deserve that, not even one bit of his bullshit. I love you darlin’, more than words can say, and I cannot thank you enough for sticking with me through this entire thing. I truly cannot thank you enough, my darlin’. I love you forever and always.”

Speechless, you pull him in for a kiss, tears brimming in your eyes as you wonder how the hell you got so damn lucky.

Elvis enlists Jerry to be his new manager, and continues working very closely with Steve and Bones as he plans his world tour (“I’m 33 years old and I’ve never been out of the country, ‘cept for the service,” he had lamented to you when the idea first came to him.)

He’s absolutely thrilled at the idea of performing for crowds in Europe and Japan, and even more ecstatic at the idea of having his own plane to fly him there. The “Evelyn” is his other pride and joy, he jokes, second only to his actual daughter.

One day, in the midst of packing to leave Graceland for the first stop on the tour, Vernon and Jerry come running in, looking frantic.

“Dad? Jerry? What’s wrong?” Elvis asks, concerned.

They turn to where you and Elvis are standing by the car. Jerry gestures for Vernon to speak first.

“Well, son,” he begins, “I got a call this morning from… from the Colonel. Saying somethin’ about ‘we still owed him for everything’ and started rattling off numbers and prices for things he wanted us to pay for. I went and got Jerry right away.”

Jerry takes this as his cue to speak, “The lawyers went over the papers and said that he wasn’t entitled to anything like that. I think he’s still assuming that we haven’t bothered with a lawyer, seeing as he’s making demands like this. But anyway,” he shakes his head, getting back on track, “I did some digging, and it turns out Colonel Tom Parker doesn’t exist. His real name is Andreas van Kuijk. He fled from Holland a while back and created this entire fake identity. He’s a con man. Always has been.”

“He’s… what?” A mix of confusion and anger dawns on your husband’s face as he furrows his brow, trying to make sense of what they had just said.

“Dad, did you figure out where he was callin’ from?” He asks after a moment of absorbing the news, suddenly all business.

“Uh… I think it was the Stardust?” Vernon replied, naming the popular hotel and casino in Vegas.

“Let me guess,” you speak up, noting the determined glint in his eye, “we’re making a stop on the way to LA?”

He nods. “Yeah, baby. I wanna talk to this bastard.”

Between all of you, you’re somehow able to organize a quick pit stop in Vegas on the flight to LA, and you accompany Elvis to the Stardust.

You find the old man sitting alone at a row of slot machines, putting coin after coin into the machine. He looks up as you approach, and a surprised smile spreads across his face.

“My boy! You’ve returned! I hope there are no hard feelings—“

“I ain’t here to take you back, you snake.” Elvis hisses. “My father told me you called. You seem to think you still got your claws in me.”

“Well, my boy, I am just trying to be an honest businessman and get my money’s worth. You owe me quite a bit from all the years we worked together.”

A laugh tears from your husband’s throat, “An honest businessman? Really? After what we’ve learned about you? You haven’t said an honest thing to me in your life, not even your name. Oh that’s right,” Elvis sneers, seeing the Col— van Kuijk’s eyes widen just the slightest bit. “We know all about you, sir. All the lies you’ve told. Are you even from Holland, or is that another lie?”

“Does it truly matter where I am from?” he says smoothly, “I discovered you! I made you! You would be nothing without me!”

“How dare you, you toad.” Elvis spits, “I may have gotten my start with you, I’ll grant you that, but— well. I believe my wife told you this before: I. Don’t. Need. You. You made 50% of everything I have ever made since I started out and you think you can come back here and bleed me dry? No, sir,” he says with a dry laugh, “You and I are done entirely. Have a nice life, Mr. van Kuijk.” He spits out the name of the conman like it’s a curse word. Before van Kuijk can say another word, he grasps your hand and leaves, content in the idea that that will be the last conversation he ever has with him.

Back on the plane, you and Elvis are alone. The others elected to drive and meet you in LA, and it turned out his father didn’t necessarily like flying, so there’s no one around to bother you as Elvis continues showering you with affection, telling you how much he loves you and how grateful he is that you gave him the push he needed to finally get rid of that old conman in the first place. He’s pulled you close, and his hands snake around your waist as he says, as if the thought had just come to him: “Darlin’, have I ever thanked you properly for that?”

“…Yes?” you reply, confused. “You just said thank you to me at least 20 times in the last 10 minutes, honey.”

“No, darlin’…” His grip on your hips tightens the slightest bit, and you finally notice the look in his eyes as he moves to plant kisses down your neck, murmuring against your skin between each one, “have I ever… thanked you… properly?”

You can only whine as he reaches a particularly sensitive part of your neck, your hands winding into his hair, and you feel his lips curl into a smile.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” he breathes, moving his attention to the other side of your neck, one hand snaking back to slowly, slowly, slowly undo the buttons along the back of your sheath dress, “‘M gonna make sure you know exactly how grateful I am for everything you’ve done for me.”

Your husband is extremely thorough in his appreciation of you as you fly off to LA, and everything, finally, is as it should be.

first of all, another group event of course, you love to see it and they’re being dorks but in a cooler way already 💃 also btw happy new year!! hope it’s been treating y’all well already :]<3

okay so i’m going into this event basically being sus of everyone at this point LMAO, i don’t even trust our boys tbh - anything could happen and i’m excited! everytime there’s a big event i always am like “ugh… not another one i have to drain energy into and it isn’t even that interesting” (respectfully). like the last one on the train? i didn’t really care much about it, the only things that interested me were nxx being all up on eachother (exaggerating)

basically i prepare myself to be disappointed, which might sound messed up but tbh the events have only been hittin recently (for me) because of the fact that they’re not having nxx be at eachother’s throats lol. (not saying the past ones weren’t good though and that none of the recent ones were a miss bc again, i didnt fully enjoy the train event)

this one already had me though 😭 got me gagged, the ui is so fucking cool - the card system?? the OUTFITS make me wanna CHOMP my phone (esp luke’s… smth- smth abt it is just. hm, delectable). also baby davis always appearing is so cute his little “hello, miss… uh, i mean, little boss!” LMAO that is my son!!!

ANYGAYS we always have to start off with Marius talking about something going on ‘round town, intended to invite his lovely lady but of course the boys have to interrupt and say hey, where is our invitation??? 🤗 you love to see it

OHHbajdhd and adding on why I’m not trusting anyone - even our boys - in this event is because this event reminds me too much of a card that Vyn has. A group of folks in this card are acting and Vyn’s character ended up being the killer. I won’t leave my thoughts on the card but this is why I’m sus of everyone 😔

And not being anle to write the whole long fic is such a mood—there are. So many outlines for fics in my google docs. That i simply cannot write.

omg i am HONORED that ppl are interested in my fic idea?? you're all so kind omg y'all this means so much to me i am hugging all of you so hard rn. 🥺💖🫂 also i'm gonna put some of this under a readmore cause it's kind of long. also i put this at the end of my ficlet but idk how much of this i will actually write so everybody has my blanket permission to add onto/do anything w this that they want :))

ok! so! in my head birthdaygate goes something like this:

of course, everyone forgets will's birthday in 1986. will says nothing. this continues when the cali and russia gangs get to hawkins. will is just kind of there. he helps out at the crisis center at hawkins high, visits el at the cabin, but every time he walks into a room people's eyes glaze over him kind of like he's not there. though both he and jonathan are staying at the wheelers, mrs w starts forgetting a place for him. jonathan forgets to get will up and leaves without him in the mornings. mike doesn't speak to him. and, constantly, there's a voice in will's head (vecna) telling him Come home. They don't want you.

and... will listens. he intends to go to the upside-down and fight vecna on his own, while going through an unhealthy amount of self-deprecation and self-hatred (à la my recent series). into the upside down he goes, but it's a futile hunt, and he ends up trapped there, tormented and hunted at every turn.

meanwhile, everyone else's minds just kind of fuzz over when it comes to will. when it comes to things that involve him in their memories, he's either erased or the memory is rewritten with some other explanation. for example: why the party was out in the woods when they met el. why jonathan was taking pictures of the steve's backyard. the entirety of s2. why the UD is stuck on nov 6, 1983. you get the gist. the others spend the next two and a half years struggling against vecna, and meanwhile will languishes in the upside-down.

that is, until stoncy embark on some sort of reconnaissance mission (this is where my ficlet comes in) and run into him in the upside down. on will's end, it becomes apparent very quickly they have no idea who he is, and on their end they r adamantly NOT going to leave someone in the UD to die. so, they take him out with them and call a meeting at the cabin.

of course, mike does not trust this kid (what if he's a spy??) very much like lucas with el in s1. lucas somewhat agrees with him, but acknowledges that it turned out well when he gave el a chance, so he's ready to do that here, and besides he'll do anything to help get max out of her coma. the others have more of lucas's mindset. plus, will can give them intel about the UD that they don't have.

meanwhile will is struggling. there's the angst-fest of him being surrounded by all the people he loves and none of them know and they're all kind of wary of him and he can't say anything, plus he's trying not to give away to anyone that he actually knows things about them and about all the upside-down ish that's happened in previous years. this does make him act kind of sus at times.

mike is determined to not trust him, but will literally gives him déjà vu every other second. at one point they r in mike's room for some reason and he has The Painting up on the wall and will does a double-take and mike's like. isn't it awesome??? my (ex)girlfriend had it commissioned for me but i still keep it up bc it's of all my friends plus i think the person that painted it is THE best artist in the world. will is like. oh. who painted it. and mike's brain like. flatlines and he changes the subject (You're the heart, a voice whispers to him, one that he can't quite place).

there are also similar scenes with the byers fam and the rest of the party. there's this one scene in s1e1 the morning after will goes missing where joyce comes out and like. says hi to jonathan who's cooking breakfast and then goes to ruffle will's hair but he's not there and the same thing happens but will IS there this time and joyce's brain short-circuits a little bit

and there's one scene where they give will a walkman to guard against being vecnaed and ask what his favorite song is and he's like "should i stay or should i go" bc DUH and jonathan's like "excellent taste" and will just says "thanks, i got it from my older brother."  all aboard the angst train choo fuckin choo!!

anyways thanks to will's intel the whole squad suits up to head into the upside down. will maps it out for them (vecna's got a vine hub thing in the UD similar to s2 which is his new base of operations since he moved out of creel house). and thus we have my sword mike + bow and arrows lucas + nail bat dustin + gun will agenda. el is off with hop and nancy and whoever heading in to fight vecna or whatever. so now we have the core four og party in their little pod to complete their mission. they r armed with the weapons above but also like. molotov cocktails n lighters n shit too. but they r surrounded by a shit ton of demodogs about to eat them and d'art isn't here this time for dustin to take advantage of his bond with. OHHH SHITTT what r they gonna do???? dustin wants to hunker down and stay on the defense (Cast protection!). lucas wants to light them up (Fireball him!) and mike (still slightly distrusting, waiting for will to prove himself), demands that (since will's the one who spent two and a half years here) he lead the party in what to do (Will, your action!). and will decides that they need to fireball these mother fuckers. this time, it's like they each rolled a nat 20 and the demodogs are decimated.

now the party moves on to provide backup for the el v. vecna showdown. vecna hones in on will. Come home again, William? I knew you would. but el and will have this absolutely epic banging team-up and take him DOWN. vecna dies. el, exhausted, staggers back. will goes unconscious and falls to the ground. all of the memories that vecna was hoarding about will are released now that he's dead, and everyone remembers. (max jolts awake in the hospital.) 

i have this very distinct image of the party getting their memories back. they're standing there injured and exhausted and then it dawns on them and in TOTAL UNISON they're like. WILL.

later, will wakes up in the hospital to his mom petting his hair and his brother crying and the party runs in and it's very s1 reunion except they're all crying way more and apologizing and (only a tiny bit) mad at will for not saying anything. also idk the specific logistics but byler goes endgame ofc. and there we have a VERY happy ending!!! yay!!!

What do we know about her?

Keags worked as her "personal assistant" but they haven't met in years, and she's "not fond of people meddling in her personal affairs".

They seem to have parted ways on unfriendly terms - it "didn't end well"

She's hot as fuck obviously

She lives in Fálias (at least now, but I think that it is likely that she always lived there - nobles tend to have a Big House that they stay in) - and Aífe gives us a caution about prying

Keagan is the only one who calls her by the title Mistress, everyone else uses Lady Nessa (Mistress meaning woman head of household) -> either a nod to their history together, or a verrrry subtle insult by being overly familiar/ refusing to use her proper noble title [which would be... Keagan core]

What are my theories about her?

Before we get into that, since this concerns Keagan's backstory I want to establish a couple more facts about HIM because this ties into what I'm thinking about Lady Nessa.

What are my theories about Keagan's backstory?

So we know that

Keagan is an orphan,

he grew up in Finias, but did not know Aife when she lived there

at some point he came to Fálias, where he lives now,

he rose through the ranks quickly during the War,

he seems to have found out the queen's secret

he keeps his background shrouded in mystery,

he's filthy rich (and loves it),

he's a good employer who cares about his staff - paying them well (notably unlike other nobles),

he doesn't have any friends other than Aífe (🥺)

his name is very obviously made up,

he's shady as fuck and

he loves to pry.

My conclusions from this are:

he did NOT grow up rich (he loves to flex - he'd say it if he had. He treats his staff well because he wasn't born with a silver spoon. He doesn't go by his original surname but I think that he would if it was a noble name. He's obsessed with his own wealth because it's new to him. If he was noble then people would know who he was from before the war, but they don't. And Aífe specifically would know who he was, but doesn't. Why would he have needed to work as a PA to the lady if he was a noble son? there's better ways for the nobility to get patronage.)

Sometime after his parents died, obviously he had to fend for himself. Without some kind of big inheritance, what options were available to him?

He also made his way to Fálias in this time, after his parents died.

What are my theories about her? (fr this time)

So I was thinking that:

She noticed Keagan somehow, and decided to take him in because he was useful - he probably showed his worth to her, perhaps via finding out an important secret and using that information to prove that he could be useful to her? - and she took him under her wing. Basically, sponsoring him, which gave him a bit more access to things.

An alternative is that he got himself into that position with the intent of spying on her, which is what all the "she doesn't like people prying into her business" references are about.

Obviously, either way, Keagan definitely stuck his nose where it shouldn't have been, pried into things he shouldn't have pried into, and got caught with it. Hence the relationship ending poorly, the warnings about prying.

However, there's some reason why she has not done anything about this. Perhaps he knows something important, and has ensured that in the event of his death, it would get out? Or she simply cannot touch him?

But somehow I am leaning towards that she isn't trying to actively make him dead... for now.

And finally

One last thing: everyone in the discord agrees she's either a milf or sus (or both, but you have to pick one)

i am once again thinking about la squadra x reader high fantasy AU and im here to give y'all the deets of what i've thought of so far

kind of a dnd inspired setting, what im thinking is human reader got lost in a creepy forest and injured and chased by some Mystery Monsters (probably cioccolata and secco cause i always make them the scapegoats lol) and was happened upon by la squadra who took them in to let them recover from their injuries + maybe get some info on the Mystery Monsters encroaching on their neck of the woods + reader doesn't have anywhere else to go

la squadra are sort of a found family of assholes who didn't have anywhere else to go anyway so it's not like this is new to them lol

they live in an abandoned crumbling fort/very small castle? with a vast forest to the north, cliffs and rocky shoreline to the west, and a city further south

the exact reason for why the place was abandoned has been lost to time but people stayed away from it under the assumption that it was cursed when it was actually just fae sorbet and gelato who took up residence and decided to cause problems

risotto is a vampire and his vampire ability is his stand ability basically, he can control iron. he stumbled across the place in need of shelter and used his ability to keep sorlato in line (cause y'know, fae and iron), they struck up a friendship, the rest is history

prosciutto and formaggio are sorcerers (as opposed to wizards; they were born with magic inherent to them)

sorcerers have some sort of mark of their magic, idk about formaggio's yet but prosciutto has five eyes like the grateful dead. his specialty is shapeshifting, so often he keeps to having two eyes but sometimes he'll blink and then you'll have five eyes glaring at you and if he gets mad he turns purple and that fog starts rolling from the corners of his eyes lol. and he can sprout claws or teefs or shit like a scorpion tail on command (as well as, obviously, being able to age himself or others and back again). occasionally he'll fully shapeshift into an animal. do not suggest he turns into a horse to pull the wagon into the city or he will dust your ass.

formaggio is more on the charms and telekinetic side of magic. he'll often just zoop whatever he needs across the room into his hand, pulls out chairs, will occasionally magically drag his friends over to cuddle. you're not sure you've ever seen him just pick something up normally.

melone learned his magic through lots of studying. he and ghiaccio are werewolves (melone is good at tracking so like, wolf nose!!!!)

pesci is a selkie who wound up in a similar situation as you, he washed up injured on the shore to the west and decided to stay 🥺

illuso is a gorgon. the stone-turning thing is at will so no worries there lol. he ofc has a massive collection of mirrors and took up residence in the rookery tower to lurk over everyone and has a bunch of ravens as his little minions (they also send letters and such and are very good 😍) and he's named them all things that are reminiscent of mirrors: reflection, gleam, etc. if u thought prosciutto glaring with five eyes was a sight to behold wait til u see all illuso's snakes turn and hiss as one

they kinda just vibe. try to make a life for themselves. take up a lot of odd jobs as enchanters or alchemists (that's melone's specialty) and ofc, hired swords. and there's that trouble brewing in the forest that they're very sus of, but at least they have you

The day is finally here! Premiere day! To say you're excited is an understatement. You've always dreamed of landing such a big role and you've finally done it.

You're all dressed and made up, ready to go. Your hair styled to perfection, you dress fitting like a glove, and your makeup minimal to let yourself shine. You tried to play off your character, donning a sleek black look and slicked back hair.

You and Harry hadn't made your relationship public yet, but you've been together for almost a year. You'd mentioned something about walking the carpet together, and Harry said he'd hop in a few photos like he always does with Tom, but that's not what you had in mind. You didn't want to push him, so you just told him: "whatever you're comfortable with, so am I," letting him decide how the night goes.

You've taken to the carpet, and you are puled to an interview pretty quickly. Tom's taking most of the attention of the photographers anyway, so you're happy to interview.

"How are you tonight?" the overly-bubbly woman asks.

"I'm just fine, excited to be here!" you smile.

"And happy to be here with Tom?" she prods.

"Of course, Tom lights up any room he's in," you smile, trying to dance around the subject.

"And what's it like working with him?"

"He's a great mentor, a great costar, and a great friend. Anyone would be lucky to work with him," you gush, trying to keep it short and sweet.

"Friend?" she asks with her eyebrows raised, "because there's rumors that you guys are something more. You've been seen at his parents' house, hanging in L.A. together, you guys even vacationed together not too long ago."

"Yes, just friends," you give a tightlipped smile, "he's a great guy to be around, but not my guy."

"By your own choice?"

"Yes, my own choice, he's not my type."

"Alright, moving on then," she laughs trying to keep things lighter sensing the shift in your mood.

You finished the interview and turned to find Harry standing not far from you. He clearly looked upset, and trying to hide it, while he filmed Tom. He couldn't help the pit rolling around in his stomach at the thought of you and his brother.

He didn't even understand why you were with him. You're amazing and beautiful and confident and smart and talented and you deserved someone like Tom. You tell him all the time that you don't want Tom, and he knows that. You've told him again and again, and even Tom has told him, that nothing will ever happen there because all you want is Harry. But right now, in this moment, it's all hitting him like a ton of bricks and he can feel himself spiraling.

You could tell all of the thoughts rolling around in his head and you knew that he had heard the interview.

You walked up behind him, making sure just to tap his arm in case he didn't want to be "couple-y" in front of the cameras.

"Hey, bub," you whispered in his ear.

He grunted in response, forcing a smile in front of all the cameras, "hey."

"You leaned closer making it look like you just couldn't hear each other over all the noise, "I love you, and only you," you breathed, passing the smallest peck to his cheek. Enough for him to feel it, but not enough to be noticed by anyone else.

You could see some of the anger subside from his face and his eyebrows began to unclench slightly as he asked, "why?"

The look on his face and the sound of his voice nearly broke your heart. You didn't want to get into everything at the moment, this was not the time or place, but you gave a simple answer, "because you're you."

He smiled lightly, knowing there would be more to the conversation later, but he was feeling a bit better about the relationship. He just didn't think it would hit this hard hearing the interviewers ask about you and Tom. He sees it on socials all the time, and even laughs about it with Tom and you, but coming from a real person in front of him is different.

"Would you please be my date?" you asked in the quietest whisper you could.

"I thought I already was," he answered cheekily.

You laughed in relief, sensing the change in him already, "then take some photos with me," you fired back.

He thought for a second and you figured he'd say no, but he passed his camera to Sam, warning him not to mess it up, and took to the carpet with you.

He took your hand in his, leading you over before securing a hand around your waist. You watched him closely, the gears turning over and over in his brain, "just you and me," you whispered, gripping around his shoulder as you shimmied closer.

"You and me," he whispered back.
