The Spiritual Meaning of Birds Oracle
I was excited to receive an advanced copy of The Spiritual Meaning of Birds Oracle by Arin Murphy-Hiscock, creator of The Green Witch’s Oracle Deck. Like her previous title, The Spiritual Meaning of Birds Oracle includes a full color guidebook, and six spreads designed to help users intuit wisdom and guidance from 50 different birds, winged messengers who continue to capture our attention with…

I've got a lot of decks now and I'd love to talk about my experiences with them (read: gush about the pretty imagery and compare and contrast decks to each other in a literary fashion and talk about how different ones seem built for different applications) so I thought a review for each might be the best way to do it! I myself am always on the lookout for reviews before I buy new decks :)

Birthdays and New Oracle Decks

Lil Cryptid Oracle Deck
Yesterday was my birthday - my 52nd - and like many people who definitely need our paychecks, I worked my full 6.5 hour Saturday shift at the vet clinic (I kiss puppies all day long and get paid for it), but afterward, since I only work till 2pm on Saturdays, I met my sister at a new (it's been there 5 months but this was our first chance at going) rock shop in Round Rock, Texas, called Unearthed. I planned to buy yet more crystals and maybe a new ring, and the cool thing is that my sister's birthday present to me was one of those Visa gift cards that can be used anywhere.
So I spent the whole amount (and a little over) to buy myself so much stuff there - their prices are AMAZING. Stones, a new ring, I adopted a coyote figure (they put broken or chipped figures or stones up for 'adoption' for $5 - and then you name them on the spot, and they make you a little adoption name sticker for it!), and while I wasn't going to buy myself yet another tarot deck (though they had a mushroom one that had tempted me), I did break down and buy the Lil Cryptid Oracle Deck (above). It is so precious, and it meshes well with my other decks that I read with regularly since I use multiple decks at a time to do my readings. Now what they advertise on the site above is the deck in a tin and there's even a "Lil Cryptid Field Guide," I only had the opportunity to get the deck in a box, no field guide booklet. However, the deck comes with three extra cards that have slightly more detailed information on each Lil Cryptid.
Did I mention that they're precious?
Now unfortunately on the creators' website above, they're out sold out of the deck, but I bet if you contact them, they'd let you know when they'll have them in stock again. Or maybe if you're lucky, you'll stumble on them in a quaint little crystal and new age shop like I did. I recommend them big time, though. Only 36 cards plus the guide cards. Looks like the website also offers another little deck they did together and two cloths to go with each deck for reading on. They're sold out of the little pouch, too, or else I might've bought that right now.
Also if you're in Round Rock, check this store out. They've got a lot of fun and gorgeous stones, and I know I'll be going back often. Especially since the owner offered that I could do readings there from time to time, so hey, I might finally have an outlet to jump in here and there to make a little extra on my Saturdays after my usual work shift.

Hey yall! A friend of mine is a tarot deck collector and shes selling off some of her duplicates to make some money and get out of a jam. It's a LOT of decks, some are pretty rare. If you're looking for a deck for yourself or for a holiday gift, please consider helping her out.

So many oracle decks! I can't wait to start sharing my readings. Hoping the Universe allows me the opportunity to use my intuition and life experiences to help other people. More thoughts later.

apologies if you already posted about this, but do you have any recommendations for non-tarot oracle decks?
I do not -- I've actually only used ones that I made myself.
Any mutuals care to weigh in?

Remember lockdown?
I mean REALLY remember.
-How at the beginning we had no clue how long it was going to last and if we had we wouldn’t have believed it?
-How the news from everywhere was so terrifying and uncertain?
-That insanely disturbing version of “Imagine”?
-That first mask you got?
-Losing all track of time?
The list gets long. So much confusion, so much illness and loss, cabin fever, introspection. Everyone just trying to cope and survive and help each other to do the same.
Well, I started a project right at the beginning of lockdown to help myself and whoever wanted to join in, to process some of these feelings and to find a way through together, not just the pandemic but as was revealed to us all, life itself.
The result was the Star & Crown Oracle. The name is a play on the word “Corona” which means both “Star” and “Crown.”
27 artists and myself collaborated to create an amazing 59-card Oracle deck.  This deck is an inspired expression of love and hope and survival that speaks not just to the time it was made, but to all the times we are faced with the strange and unknown and doing so with courage and spirit.
Star & Crown Oracle is on special offer right now directly from my website.
Greet the change of season with this one-of-a-kind, limited edition deck.
Order now and get free shipping worldwide.

Images from the latest St. Jinx deck 'The Mars Sanctum Oracle' on The Game Crafter site. This is the censored version - so all the men have their junk covered up. The uncensored decks can get pretty hairy (so to speak). It does not follow the symbolism on any Lenormand or Kipper decks that I am aware of, but if you just want to look at exquisite artwork of scantily-clad men - this is the deck for you! It has a downloadable pdf guide book.

Hi, hope you're doing well! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for oracle decks for beginners
Hey there, thanks for the ask!
Honestly, it depends on what you're looking for. There are different Oracle decks for different things. I would also recommend using a deck that calls to you, regardless of what anyone says to you. If you feel a connection to a deck, that's likely your best bet; you may find it easier to interpret the cards.
Oracle cards tend to be more challenging for people than tarot, so keep in mind that even decks that might be a little more "beginner" may still be a bit difficult to interpret, even with the aid of a guide book. Here's a list of decks I'd recommend:
The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Oracle deck (by Kim Krans)
Woodland Wardens (by Jessica Roux)
The Urban Crow Oracle (by MJ Cullinane)
Mushroom Spirit Oracle (by Nicola McIntosh)
Sacred Symbols Oracle deck (by Marcella Kroll) (when I checked, I didn't see anything appropriative, but I couldn't see the full deck; I'd remember double-checking this one if you can)
Moonology (by Yasmin Boland)
Tea Leaf Fortune Cards (by Rae Hepburn)
Ancient Animal Wisdom (by Stacy James & Jada Fire)
Wisdom of the Raven (by J Edward & Heather Neill)
If you want something a little more challenging, I recommend these:
The Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck (by Kim Krans)
Oracle of the Radiant Sun (by Caroline Smith & John Astrop)
Cosma Visions Oracle deck (by James R. Eads)
The Endless Oracle (by Eric Maille)
The Phantom Fauna Oracle deck (by Sam Sawyer) (I think you could use this one as a starting deck, too, tbh)
Pillars (by Travis Lawrence) (honestly, I desperately want to get my hands on this one myself)
I hope this gives you some things to look into and enjoy! Have a good day/night, friend. c:
