I was thinking about how Christmas would work in the Cotl universe. So what I've got so far is a celebration for winter solstice, it's a day to bring light in the darkest time, things like decorating, feasting and gift giving, pretty standard Christmas traditions.

However one of the traditions I've come up with is the yuletide fairy (basically this universes Father Christmas).

Originally the night before the winter solstice one of the lambs followers would leave sweets and treats for the cults children outside their tents. But this follower eventually died and asked the lamb continue the tradition and wear their skull while doing it, so they in a way can continue the tradition.

As a result the character of the yuletide fairy was born, the story being that the spirit of this follower returns for 1 night a year to bring joy.

in reality each year the lamb dresses up for this wearing the skull, a crown of green and ties bells to their cape that let people know their outside. Gifts include sweet breads, candied fruits, nuts and sweets.

Apparently the official ones are fey centaur. That's why they're small, they're elf/pony instead of human/horse. They're strong and perceptive survivalist fey! I refuse to believe I need to explain what a centaur is, or the appeal. These had an 84% smash rate last time, and the only thing thats changed is being 6-7 feet (1.8-2.1 m) tall depending on species. They even have enough supernatural strength that they count as if they were a full sized horse for carrying capacity and such. So riding them is still on the table, it's just easier to reach the human half.

Back in business

I started a new medication for narcolepsy which is working really well and today I was able to:

1. Maintain a level of cope when my secondary HDD began to fail and my PC wouldn't boot

2. Unplug and mess around in the guts of my PC several times

3. Diagnose the issue, drive several miles to Best Buy, and pick up a new SSD and SATA/USB adapter

4. Pull out the old drive, realize it's a 3.5 inch, and do some Dire Chicanery with the slightly too short cables to get them to reach the 2.5 inch drive bay so I could install the new drive

5. Continue high Cope levels when the SATA adapter cable was for 2.5 inch only and doesn't provide enough power to spin up a 3.5 inch drive

6. Order a powered 3.5 inch SATA adapter to hopefully recover my data.

Two weeks ago, I would have made it, ehhhhh, halfway through 2 before collapsing in fatigue and despair and just laying on the floor morosely. My PC would languish, unused, for weeks or months.

Anyway it's fucking bonkers what people without chronic illness can get done in a day. Damn, y'all live like this?

Today's show was so overhwelmingly chaotic that I had to use my inhaler TWICE (I've been trying to only use it once a day to see how my lungs are doing). But as chaotic and exhausting as it was... Goddamn I'm good at what I do.

While they were diagnosing a problem and working through Plan A, I set up Plan F by myself while 6 people stood around watching Plan A-C fail.

And when they yelled that the show would have to be canceled this week, I had Plan F up, set, running, and it was what I told them to do from the start.

Why is there only Plan A-C, then suddenly Plan F?

My Plan was always Plan F, for "Fuck it, we bail".
