🌸 Why Is PCOS So Common Today | Live Fit Forever 🌸
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects 1 in 5 women — and its numbers are rising. But why?
🤔 Here are some key reasons:
🔹 Modern lifestyle – Stress, lack of sleep, and sedentary habits disrupt hormonal balance.
🔹 Unhealthy diets – Processed foods and sugar spikes can lead to insulin resistance.
🔹 Environmental toxins – Everyday exposure to endocrine disruptors plays a hidden role.
🔹 Genetics – If your mom or sister has it, you might too.
🔹 Lack of awareness – Many live with symptoms for years without knowing.
PCOS is common, but it’s manageable with the right care and support. 💪 Speak up, get diagnosed, and take control of your health. 💚

125 donors for #PCOSAwarenessMonth!  A big Thank You to all those who have donated and who are participating in our PCOS Awareness Weekend Sept 16-17 in Atlanta! You make our critical work for women and girls with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) possible.  We are at 23% of our goal and climbing with only 35 days to go. Please help support education, research and screening programs for women and girls with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Despite addressing one of the most common human disorders, all PCOS support organizations combined receive less than 0.1% of the funding that other major health conditions receive. We need your support and it will make a difference.  Please donate. There is a song that says, "Give thanks with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the holy one. Give thanks because he is given Jesus Christ his son! And now let the weak say I am strong! Let the poor say I am rich! Because of what the Lord has done for us. Give thanks! Give thanks! Give thanks! Give thanks! The Lord said to me today. "Tell my people, the time has now come for them to give me thanks. No matter what problems they are facing. In your THANKSGIVING your victory is coded. So go ahead and give thanks in Jesus mighty name. Amen! http://helpforinfertility.com #cysts #pcosfighter#dealingwithinfertility #infertilitysucks#ovaries #pcossupport#polysysticovariansyndrome #pcos#pcoswarrior #ttc #life #love#polycysticovarysyndrome #ttcwithpcos#curepcos #fertilityproblems #pcossucks#pcoscysters #pcosfacts #pcosproblems#pcosfriendly #pcosawareness#infertilityhope #infertilityjourney

PCOS FACTS 9: CELEBS WITH PCOS #LemonFaceChallenge 🍋 by @pcosgurl Last year I did the Lemon Face Challenge and nominated friends and family. This year I'm nominating celebrity women who have openly discussed their struggles with PCOS. So @chrisettemichele @jaime_king @jillianmichaels @daisyridrey @victoriabeckham I challenge you! Although I said this year I wanted to focus on REGULAR women with PCOS rather than celebs, I still wanted to make one post showcasing these beautiful women and their stories. 1. #CHRISETTEMICHELE: Because of PCOS she had to get one of her ovaries removed. And realized the only thing that would help her was changing her diet from vegan to paleo. After making the change in her diet, Chrisette says, “I began to experience much less cramping, much lighter cycles and less drastic mood swings before and after my cycle.” 2. #JAIMEKING: Because of PCOS she dealt with #infertility. Jaime stated, "I used to feel like I was the only one who had it. Nobody knew how long it took me to get pregnant: that for seven years I had so many losses, I'd been trying for so long and I was in so much pain. I felt like a part of me was broken because the fact is let's be real: the only difference between men and women that we grow up with is that we're able to carry a child [...] you feel like it's the one thing that you have that's this gift, that makes you a woman, and there's something wrong with you." Today however she is a gorgeous mom! 3. #JILLIANMICHAELS: She also deals with the issue of infertility. In an interview she explained that she didn't want to put her body through the painful struggles women with PCOS have to go through when trying to conceive and instead she became a mom by adopting! And her 2nd child was conceived by her partner. 4. #VICTORIABECKHAM: Another lovely woman who has, because of PCOS, dealt with the struggles of infertility. Despite the PCOS, she managed to give birth to four beautiful children. 5. #DAISYRIDLEY: She opened up last year about her PCOS and how it affected her skin (acne), saying that she hated wearing makeup but was afraid to leave her house without it on (I feel you Daise).
