I love how everyone in Damian’s life is either their last name, hero name, or like “father”... except Steph. Steph is the only one consistently that Damian calls “steph”- even in canon. Maybe its because he knows how much she hates her father and so her last name, maybe its because he thinks “spoiler” is stupid, or maybe its because he sees her as an equal, not beneath him, not someone he owes deference to, but his equal. Literally in canon, unless hes particularly annoyed at her or smth, or in costume, shes always steph to him. Literally when he is in mourning he calls her steph. Not Brown, not Spoiler… Just Steph. 

Idk i just love Steph and Damian so much and I feel like their relationship is so slept on.

CONTINUATION OF MY LAST POST

i wrote allat to say. i really like to imagine the way they’d fall apart is heavily because of incompatibility and slowly drifting apart, both due to lack of communication and fear and the belief that they can ‘fix things’, even without talking about them (yes i’ve been in a wlw situationship before how’d you know? /lh)

like. they keep getting up to their usual freaky shit, but it slowly turns into a coping mechanism for both of them instead of an intimate pastime. they both take out their mental turmoil through physical intimacy instead of talking about it.

gradually, neither of them feel the same flame for their intimacy anymore. they used to feel that spark, that fervent flame in their heart whenever they’d lock eyes during. but as it spiralled further, they began to feel more and more apathetic towards their intimacy. it feels more like an obligation— an escape, and a thread tying their crumbling relationship together precariously.
