Okay so there was some speculation because an account named "David Jenkins" started getting into the fun with everyone today (but not Chaos Dad's account). Many folks thought it was a bot that maybe somehow got attached to our trends, but I read back to when the account was created back in January and they've been around a bit. They've hopped on the bandwagon against WB for quite some time (for CoyoteVsAcme, etc) so it's still possible they're a bot, but hard to tell for sure. What did cause some excitement was Chaos Dad then blocked them.

hello!! given that it is the first weekend in june, i'd like to go through everything that i read in the month of may and say if i would or would not recommend it and why. lets go !!

in chronological order of reading:

king of pride - ana huang: YES absolutely! god i loved this book. more specifically, yes i would recommend it if you like opposites attract in romance and dating, or if you like income gap relationships ( he's a billionaire, she's a struggling author ), and yes if you like incredibly hot and well written spicy scenes between characters. i honestly can't even think of a no unless you literally just hate spicy romance as a genre; even then i still think this book deserves a chance for your time. i absolutely adore this book.

2. den of vipers - k.a. knight: yes if you miss reading self-insert on wattpad and like pick me fmcs. the vipers themselves do have a lot of good character behind them, but as far as the fmc...i just really didn't like her. i did finish the entire book hoping that it would get better towards the end, but in my opinion the ending was one of the worse parts of the book and throughout it all it felt very predictable. would i generally recommend this? no. but it's definitely a hit or miss book. you'll either really like it, or not like it at all.

3. does it hurt? - h.d. carlton: yes yes yes yes yes. this was my favorite read of the month of may. i'd recommend it even more if you like witty and funny fmcs; it's sort of a dark romance version of grumpy x sunshine. it has a lot of spice and it's very creative if that makes sense? it's not just boring vanilla missionary, that's for sure. the mmcs character is phenomenal and both of them each have very full character arcs. but i wouldn't recommend it if mentions of incest and domestic abuse trigger you, or if body horror and gore triggers you.

4. never lie - freida mcfadden: yes if you're new to thrillers and want something easy to digest. definitely not if you're not new to thrillers and have read some absolutely breathtaking ones that kept you up at night. to me it had a rather predictable storyline, a twist that falls flat, and characters with absolutely zero depth or anywhere near a completed arc. i really did not like this book at all. also yes if you like a quick read; this didn't take me very long to get through.

5 + 6. there are no saints / there is no devil [ sinner's duet ] - sophie lark: yes if you like a "beginner" dark romance that doesn't stray too far into depravity, but still has a very dominant and demanding mmc. no if you've read things by h.d. carlton or other dark romance authors and that's your expectation level. this might come off as boring to you. however as this was a bit tame for me storyline wise, the spicy scenes were amazing and i did like that they were both artists. i feel like usually billionaires are business-oriented but it was cool to see a wealthy and famous artist. also yes if you like mentor romance dynamics.

7. iced out - veronica eden: yes if you like boys who are very clearly written by women ( in a good way! ). the mmc is perfectly balanced; he's as hot and dominant as he is cute and sweet and nice and thoughtful. he's pretty much the picturesque model citizen for what a girl typically would want in a perfectly healthy romantic relationship. there's very little drama between characters, which i personally liked. but no if parental death or familial death or grief/loss are triggers for you. for a more in-depth response, i did a spoiler free book review here!

A Quick Recap - Zeydaan

Short story by AxiomTF All right people, let's start at the beginning one last time.  My name is Gwen Stacy. I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for the last two months, I've been the one and only Spider-Woman. I doubt that you would know the rest, though; I’ve still been finding my footing, both metaphorically and literally. These new human feet have been pretty hard to get used to… but I’m getting ahead of myself here - lemme rewind a little. It had been just another day back in Mailor, with me and the Hawkmoths going dimension hopping, exploring unknown worlds - y’know, pretty average everyday stuff. It’d been a kinda slow period, honestly. Though one night when I was by my lonesome in my bedroom, something really weird happened… and weird stuff happened to me quite a lot, but this was, like, really weird. Above my bed, a glowing portal opened up, splitting realty itself before I found myself getting sucked inside of it, and whisked away into a space in-between worlds. It felt as if I was in a tornado - getting whipped and dragged across spacetime as if I were a ragdoll being thrashed by a particularly boisterous child. Thankfully, before long I was spat out of that bizarre place, and onto a derelict subway station floor. The place was deserted with no sign of life around me beyond a few rats running in-between crevices in the old concrete, graffiti-covered walls there. As I got to my feet, a searing pain shot through my body. Glancing down, I caught sight of a large arachnid sinking its fangs into my skin, pumping me full of its viscous venom before I had the chance to swat it away. The next few days are all a bit of a blur in my mind… wandering into the streets, I was met with horrified screams as this seemingly human-only society had never seen a being such as myself before. I ran away, returning to the disused tunnels to take sanctuary there. I lingered in the darkness for some time… changing… shifting… developing into something new. I remember my skin shifting, as my fur began shedding away, littering itself all over the cold metro tracks. I remember my body becoming more slender, as I started to feel so agile and strong; new blood was coursing through my now human veins. I also recall my hair growing long and blonde… my snout got squished down and parted into a human nose and mouth, and that was all before I made this suit. My suit. I can remember it clearly - deep in the underbelly of New York City’s metro system, where I put the first iteration of my suit together. Sure, it certainly looked… amateur, though it was functional, and that was enough for me. I also remembered how to make some rudimentary web shooters - I’d made some a while ago for fun, though now I’d have to put them to the test for real. Since leaving the underground I’ve made a few new versions, of course, though I’ve always stuck with that same basic design. Also, I just had to keep those Converse sneakers incorporated into the design. I mean, wouldn’t you wanna do that as well? They’re so comfy… When I left the subway system, I had been reborn, though I still had to hide myself from the public, even in my newly transformed state. I embraced this new identity. The sleek, figure-fitting costume… the hood that concealed my face… all of it just felt right to me, as I emerged from those dark, subterranean tunnels as a new woman - Spider-Woman, to be exact.  I wouldn’t be doing dimension hopping for a while, that was for sure; this dimension’s got more than enough issues for me to be dealing with. I’ve kept putting off trying to find a way back to my old home, plus my body’s changed enough to the point where my old uniform wasn't exactly fitting, nor really in keeping with the whole... spider-thing I’ve got going on now.  I won’t be doing friends, either - mostly just to avoid any distractions. I had them back in Mailor, though I don’t know when I’ll see them again. I do think about them though. Like, a lot actually. Though in my current situation, I’m only torturing myself by doing that… I’m sure I’ll see them again, eventually. For now, I have to put my full attention on my new life in The Big Apple - on my life as a masked vigilante. I was gonna go back and sort it out before it had an effect, but it's kinda hard to ignore your own instincts' This is what I do now - I save people.  Perched atop one of Manhattan's many towering skyscrapers, overlooking a city that never sleeps, I can't help but feel a profound connection to this place, in spite of me having only been here for a short while. This city has a heartbeat, a rhythm that resonates with mine… I’m sure that it’s just a side-effect of my transformation into Gwen, but who knows? Maybe I was made for this all along. I'm not just Gwen Stacy anymore; I'm the one and only Spider-Woman, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's an incredible feeling to swing through the city's artificial? concrete canyons… to see the city lights from a unique vantage point, knowing that I am the protector of this city - I’m the only one that stands between it, and oblivion. I've always been a bit of an outsider, and that radioactive spider bite only accentuated that uniqueness. But now, it's my power, my responsibility, and my privilege to keep New York safe. I face the threats that lurk in the shadows, never faltering, never giving in to fear…. the people of this city depend on me, and that trust is something I hold dear. The world has adapted to give me a role to fill, and before long there were new threats that needed a Spider-Woman to counter them. Of course, it can be hard at times - I’m not used to playing the role of a hero, and living in this foreign body only complicates things. All of this responsibility is a heavy weight on my shoulders, though I reckon I’ve been handling it pretty well overall, all things considered. I might be doing this alone, but I take solace in knowing that what I’m doing is really making a difference. With every swing, every leap, and every web I shoot, I know I'm working towards making New York a better place. This city, with all its complexities and challenges, is my home now, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep it and those I care about safe. That’s my silent promise to the city and the millions of other people who also call it their home. I'm not Zeydaan anymore, and I’m not just Gwen Stacy, either; I'm the one and only Spider-Woman, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been rewatching Mr. Robot (because I've been thinking about what a good show it is and it's been a long time since I revisited it) and I had been thinking of making a post about how much I appreciate that every character on this show is a Genuine Freak in a very realistic way but I just finished 3x03 and it's like. comical. how in love Tyrell is with Elliot. Why did I remember this being subtext, it's literally the point of the whole episode

Hey give me an info post about your sun and moon show AU and if you don't have an info post tell me the basics of everything that has happened in it. I wish to research your AU but I do not know where to start. So could you give me a head start?

I have two main ones:

Remorseful Lord Eclipse & Not Alone (these are links to their original base posts)

This is a list of important characters to each universe, though very baseline (this is most of my AUs, only a few are developed at all)

In Remorseful Lord Eclipse, the original family was named after the seven deadly sins. Later Gluttony adopted a set of Bloodmoon twins from a gladiator verse. I don't think I ever made an official post introducing Chaos (Killcode), but basically Pride got 'sick' and Envy ended up pulling Chaos out of him. Instead of being overly violent, he got protective of the family.

From here Gluttony (and Chaos) kind of went on an adoption spree; adopting three 'travelers' from @madcatdaderpydrawer-blog's tf verse.

First was Hazard during his usual traveler time that Gluttony found passed out and just took home with him.

Second was Ghosty who is kind of the ghost of Lord Night from a non canon timeline who almost died from having his magic/life energy drained. He got art.

Third was Kitten who had failed to get the star in his timeline and ended up developing Stockholm syndrome before Gluttony stole him for a 'extended sleepover'.

Little BW Eclipse & Little BW Lunar also got adopted. They came from a cult where they were being brainwashed that again Gluttony surprised adopted. They are both human children with a lot of issues.

RS Solar was adopted from @eclipsedcrystalstar after he almost died after burning down the pizza plex. Just going to link everything since he only has a few posts

Glitter is a Sun that almost got decommissioned that Chaos kidnapped.

Most of these guys are tagged with their names; A lot of stuff is back and forth with madcat and me

Oh and there is a plot about kidnapping a tf Sun so he and tf Moon can learn to be better people but I'm not locating that thread right now. And tf Monty is being tortured in a pocket dimension. I think these are Kitten's original dimension people, but don't feel like checking.

Hey lovelies. Tomorrow is the start of Pride Month! Happy Pride to everyone :)

I apologize, I know I have a lot of messages I need to catch up on, I've just been so swamped I haven't had the time. I promise I'll get to them and the rest of the things I've been behind on, this weekend sometime. In the mean time, I just want to say I hope you're being kind to yourself today. I know it's really hard to do some days. Outside influences, people's opinions, the state of the world, everyday stressors, brain chemistry, sometimes just about anything can make it hard for you to love yourself the way you deserve. Just remember that you are wonderful. Not everyone is going to see just how amazing you are. They aren't going to see the spark in you that makes such a huge impact on the world tiny minute waves at a time. But you know who can see that spark if you let them? You.

You light up the world with every movement, every gesture, every word. You truly are a marvel. Sure, we all make mistakes, we all struggle, but every day you keep going and even though you can't see it, you are blooming little by little in your own light-- and your light is helping others to bloom too. You are brilliant lovelies, remember to bask in that light a bit for your own sake. Rest well, drink some water, take your meds if you have them, and get some sleep if you can. Tomorrow is another day.
