May 15 Nakba Day Amman Jordan
Nakba Day 2023 – Radio Pakistan Yesterday was the 75th anniversary of The Nakba “catastrophe,” when Palestinians experienced the “dispossession and loss of their homeland”. Amman has a large Palestinian population, and throughout the day, lamented messages echoed from mosques in the city. They were especially noticeable after dusk. A Gem of a City Paphos
Paphos or Pafos in Cyprus is a city that is rich in culture and history. Archaeological evidence has shown that Paphos has been in existence since the Neolithic Period. It is believed to be the birthplace of the Greek Goddess of Love and Beauty –Aphrodite. Here you can see the modern and the old villas and castles from the Classic, Hellenistic and Roman periods. Paphos
Paphos has so many archaeological sites that can take days to fully explore. It was my paradise. The Archaeological Site of Nea Paphos has beautifully preserved tiles, whereas the Archaeological Site of the Tombs of the Kings has a similar architectural style to Alexandria in Egypt which was fascinating to walk through. The tombs are carved into solid rock and date back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
