so
Tang
If memory serves I believe we've seen him a grand total of 12 outfits now, those being his normal outfit, the scorpion demoness outfit, his apocalyptic outfit, his desert outfit, a naval outfit that we see him in for all of 3 seconds, his cold/winter outfit, lantern rite merch, his new S4 outfit, Sanzang's outfit, the purple and grey one from his training with master Subodhi, his pajamas, and the celestial warrior outfit in the brand new Lego sets, all of which should be presented in order below (if Tumblr image formatting cooperates I still don't really know how it works)
(ignore the inconvenient watermark LMAO)
In literally every single outfit we see him in(with the sole exception of the desert outfit where they were all sweating to death, excused as an outlier due to temperature conditions) he is completely covered head to toe except for his face and hands.
I present to you the headcanon that Tang hates not being entirely covered and will go out of his way to make sure he is. No logic based reason for it, it just feels bad to him, sensory issue? maybe? idk He cozy cozy comfy comfy at all times!! It is a must!!! Thank you for coming to my tedtalk heehoo

I think we underestimate Jamie's charisma sometimes too, even when he was at peak prick mode. Like in S1 he is awful, yet he shows up and somehow gets both Isaac and Colin to follow along with him and try and impress him. Hes younger than both of them, hes not physically intimidating, and other than being great at football, he can't exactly hold that over their heads to gain anything from them (its not like it gives him power over the team) but he still gets these two other grown young men to tag along after him
Definitely!! Roy mentioned how much "influence" Jamie had over the team, so I'm sure it was more than just Isaac and Colin who looked up to him. I do think it was partly because he's so talented, but he definitely also just has a gravitational personality. He's extroverted and funny
I also think this is part of why Roy resents him. He's the captain and he's been playing football longer than Jamie's been alive and he's a legend and he's spent his whole life deliberately commanding respect via ruthlessness and yet he's stuck in this power struggle with this obnoxious disobedient disrespectful twenty-three-year old who people just naturally gravitate to because they like his ugly outfits and stupid one liners. It's like "who the fuck do you think you are" but more importantly it's like "do people really respect me less than they respect this horrible child. I mean nothing it all means nothing"

Why is everyone convinced Vi will become an enforcer? I don't get it
Arcane is an origins story and in league lore Violet is known as THE piltover enforcer. Caitlyn becomes the sheriff and Vi is her trusted partner.
In this official poster, Vi's enforcer gear from the game is layered over her regular outfit from the show.
this is what the arcane Vi skin looks like in the game. Just like the poster. Looks to me like a mix of the two (arcane & league vi)
Also, riot is making the show. It's not some independent project, someone who's bought the rights to it. It's all part of the same universe. I'm not saying things could not go differently in the show but they did promote it as such and I fully trust Amanda Overton and the rest of the writing team to tell her story. So far the characters, setting, dialog, and plot all have worked together flawlessly to create season 1's cohesive narrative. I don't think that's gonna change going into season 2 and onwards.

Musings on Custodes: Nobilitas Terra
Ah, the now famous “all Custodians begin their lives as the infant sons of the noble houses of Terra” line from the 8th edition codex (not reproduced in the 9th one, btw). It has now experienced the kind meteoric rise in quotation previously enjoyed only by biblical verses in times of major church schisms. Let’s talk about the part of it that’s actually interesting though.
So Custodians are drawn from the children of Terra’s nobility. It is apparently not exclusive and other sources are allowed on Custodes’ own discretion, but this is both the traditional and the main one. It seems that originally the Emperor was doing something of a mamluk/janissaries thing with them, taking infant children from the families of his potential rivals as both hostages and soldiers that could be raised loyal only to him. Later, when his power grew to so far outstrip that of Terra’s aristocracy as to make any internal challenge of it inconceivable, it instead became prestigious to submit a child of a family to this service - not conscription, but an offering to the golden idol of humanity instead.
So surely, in 42nd millennium, with the Emperor’s eclipsing presence… changed, if not gone, there must be some sort of interesting dynamic between the Custodians and the bloodlines that spawned them? Well, the codex seems to dismiss the idea out of hand, stating that there is no real way for nobles of Terra to recognize their scions once they become Custodians - which presumably means that there is no grounds for interaction? And sure, I can recognize why the official lore in its current state isn't interested in that: Custodians are fixated on the Emperor to the exclusion of everything else, and the Terran nobility itself is a fairly faceless thing in the lore, one of which we don't really know enough about to build any kind of investment from their perspective.
But here we are all about the things that could yet be, rather than the things that just are! And I honestly think a bit of lore expansion in this direction could be pretty interesting!
Between the origins of the Rogue Traders and the Custodians themselves it seems that, much like the priesthood of Mars, some clans on Terra were indeed once powerful enough to make the newly ascendant Emperor deal with them in terms other than total subjugation or destruction. Would the meteoric rise of the Imperium during the Great Crusade grow or diminish their powers? On one hand - the previously mentioned growth of the Emperor's power in relation to them and the whole new "breed" of imperial elite he was literally creating (I know that in modern lore there is some speculation about what were actually his plans for the Astartes and the primarchs post-Crusade, but however things would have turned out for them, had he his way, I doubt it would have resulted in even a modicum of power returning to the hands of his once-rivals)... But on the other - during times of obscene growth and expansion rich and powerful tend to grow even more so, and I doubt that grimdark future avoids this tendency. So I will go out on a limb a little and say that while during the rise of the Imperium the power of Terran nobility may have waned in relative terms, it probably grew in the absolute ones.
And the following ten thousand years of sitting at the top of a stupidly expansive feudal confederacy probably did not hurt them either!
In the days of the Era Indomitus, then, these vague "noble houses of Terra" must be some sort of force to be reckoned with - politically, culturally, and probably even militarily. Likely on a galactic scale. And the personal guard of the Emperor, the supposedly most advanced beings in the entire Imperium, the living symbol of his power - are staffed almost exclusively by the scions of those houses. Do you see my vision? Do you agree that something simply must be there?!
Custodians are the Emperor's representatives and envoys, the single most powerful military force on Terra and the organization in full undisputed control of access to the most holy site in the entire Imperium, a place from which, technically, ALL authority within its borders is derived. Even without the bloodline connection there should be some kind of a relationship between them and the other powers of the throneworld! Even if we look at the pre-codex, fully palace-bound version of Custodes that care for absolutely nothing other than the Emperor's corpse physical safety - they still recognized that the events on larger Terra influence this safety and need to be at least reacted upon. And in the modern version they have never even been that shut-off. Even before the lifting of the Edict of Restraint, Solar Watch patrolled the Sol system entire, Aquilan Shield departed on their mysterious protector missions and the Emissaries Imperatus were busy being a diplomatic corps, for fuck's sake. I find it hard to believe that they would simply ignore Terra's political players, leaving them to do whatever unless someone rolled up armed to the Imperial Palace. So there definitely would be interactions - and once that hook is in, the fun begins.
Are custodians willing to "stoop down" and play nobility's games with them? Do they even have aversion to doing so? Surely, with all the talk about their talents beyond head-chopping, they are capable of scheming with the best of them? And if doing so is the most efficient way to get the job done - why would they object? And if they are no strangers to political manipulation and the noble families desperately want the prestige that comes with having produced a Custodian - why wouldn't the demigods indulge them and use it as a tool? Especially since they - if we keep the codex idea of it being impossible to recognize surrendered infants as the Custodians they become - hold all the cards and can basically present any of their number as a scion of this or that family? And while we are at it - do they themselves actually know? I imagine it must be not that important to them, but are there any records kept? Could you be a 200 hundred year old Custodian fresh out of training (a random example - like so many things, it is not known how long the creation and training of a Custodian takes) and be suddenly told that the aging matron of a noble house with whom you have to go and negotiate is actually your biological mother? Would that stir something? Curiosity, at least? Or is the Emperor’s light so absolute that it can blind one to even the most deep-nested human impulses?
Do Custodians remember sins and glories forgotten by the tapestries of gold and jewels? Do they watch some relatively minor and unimportant house with baffling prejudice - all because someone from it almost outdid the Emperor in something more than ten thousand years ago? Do some bloodlines enjoy unseen protection due to secret deals that have passed out of all human memory?
What about the internal politics of the organization? Millenia of drafting from a relatively closed pool of families means that some Custodians are related to each other - does that matter to them in any way? Even if the golden demigods are completely free of prejudice and superstition - which their history of paranoia kinda tells me they are not - genetics do play an objectively huge part in their existence. Is more expected of those drafted from families that produce more Custodians than others, or have spawned some especially renowned heroes? Once again - is it even public knowledge amidst the Custodes?
And what about the nobles themselves? Do they seek favor of the Adeptus Custodes? Is such a thing even possible? Do they view them as another player in their political games, or are they more of a force of nature, a condition that everyone has to deal with and adapt to? How does the process of submitting children even work nowadays? Is it compulsory? How many are taken from each family/genertaion? Do any struggle against this harvest, or has the honor of the thing completely overshadowed any resentment that they might have had?
Basically what I am saying is that, for the purposes of worldbuilding, interaction between systems is always better than the lack of thereof. And if one were looking for the ways to expand Custodes' lore - this one feels like a great source of characterization for them.

In my last residential treatment stay, I did have one psychiatrist who I trusted and had a positive relationship with. Her name was Dr. R, and when I came in on the first day of treatment and told her that I would not take any psych meds and that I had a lot of past psych trauma, she validated me and told me that she would not bring up meds unless I did. Throughout my stay there, she was empathetic, listened to my concerns, helped advocate for me, and generally made me feel heard. At the same time, when management took away our doors-she did nothing. When I needed to get a feeding tube--she lied to me about how long it would be in, and what I needed to do to get it out. She enforced policies about restricting outside breaks, restrictions on items, and contributed to treatment plans that my friends felt were unfair and damaging.
She was a good person and I liked her, but she was choosing to work within a system where she could not control the dozens of things happening there that harmed us every single day. This is what I mean when I say there is no such thing as a good psychiatrist in inpatient units--she was a progressive, validating, nice person --but her very job description made it impossible for a “good provider” to exist. To be a provider who wasn’t a part of the harm that was occurring on that unit, she would have had to quit, because the very requirements of her job required committing ethical violations, restricting peoples autonomy, and perpetrating iatrogenic harm. If she had stopped enforcing harmful policies and challenged her coworkers publically, she probably would have gotten fired. And that really is the problem--causing iatrogenic harm has essentially become a job requirement on inpatient units, and being a “good provider” by the metrics of the system require you to participate in that harm.
I think Dr. R did a better job than most inpatient psychs in mitigating the harms she participated in, and finding ways to resist shitty systems when possible. I was glad she was there and I think she made my treatment better, but the two of us had a lot of conversations together where she acknowledged the fucked up things happening in the treatment center, acknowledged her role in them, and also stated that she did not have any power to change them. She could not fix the system by working within the system.
I get a lot of questions by people who are interested in careers in the mental health system, and asking me on whether I think it’s okay for them to work there. My first response is usually if you’re asking because you’re feeling guilty after seeing what psych survivors say, I’m not someone who’s going to give you permission to ignore that guilt. The second thing I usually say is this: you need to go into this job aware with the fact that you will cause people harm, you will get into ethical dilemmas, and there will be times where you will either have to betray your personal values or quit. There isn’t one right answer on how to engage with mental healthcare as a provider, with the reality that until we build up alternative systems of care, the current structures still exist and have people who need support inside of them. If that’s something that you think you can navigate in a way that lets you create the least harm possible, then that’s something you need to decide for yourself, and to think really deeply about if the reality of the psych system matches up with your goals.

ITS BEEN AMAZING AS EXPECTED!!!!!!!!! i actually havent played genshin in a while since starting it, i have no motivation to do the filler event while a perfectly good star rail is sitting there waiting to be played :')
but for mechanics, i love they have auto battle so you dont have to nessecarily sit there and invest in every little battle you gotta do....and i love that the resin (resin??) system is a lot more forgiving with a higher cap, lower cost, and allow for overflow...thats nice...i also love that the mc and starter units are very useful. im so emotionally attatched to the star rail crew so im glad they never have to leave my team !!!!
storywise im LOVING IT SO FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i started playing it at the beginning of spring break 2 weeks ago and im almost all caught up!!! i went through belabog and penacony and now im just doing those leftover intermission main quests which im only now realizing i shouldve done before going to penacony LMAO

It's kind of bullshit that I have owned a software for over a decade and then suddenly I have to upgrade my license to use it on multiple PCs, as if I haven't had it on multiple devices for years. My license terms suddenly says one windows/Mac device. I literally have it activated on two different computers as we speak (눈‸눈)

Too hot to cuddle!!
this is part one of my dual-fic based on this fanart read about winter!Toji here :]
synopsis: Toji becomes jealous of your pillow…
〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰
You and Toji cuddle often. It wasn't something you guys ever spoke about or needed to ask for but it wasn't uncommon for the man to come home from a job and find you spread across the couch, only to come over and lay his entire body over yours until you complained about "needing air".
This was the perfect dynamic for winter, Toji's body heat seemed to always be in supply but in the summer, the man could be nude, without a blanket in sight, prone before an oscillating fan, and still sweating.
It was the unfortunate truth that Toji would overheat, even if you were particularly chilly. So when the summer months came around, you were blessed with the entire comforter to yourself.
Too hot for him, you would pull your arms into the blanket so he would have his side of the bed to sprawl while you could rest, enwraptured in warmth.
It was a dynamic that worked for both of you- until it didn't
One night, mid-summer, you unconsciously had yourself tucked tightly within the comforter. Shifting in your sleep, you exhaustedly unraveled enough to reach out for Toji's form. Subconsciously, you felt for him, and in your sleepy state, tucked yourself around his torso, legs tied with his own. The groan he let out did little to rouse you or waive your hold on him.
In the heat of the moment (no pun intended) he shook your arm from his waist, grunting whilst turning to face your sleeping figure. With little but a sleepy hum in reply, he made more of an effort to push you and your warm blanket away from him.
“s too hot” He grumbled.
Your unconscious mind took no offense, soon finding comfort again by flipping over, wrapped in the blanket, to throw yourself around one of your many pillows.
Toji rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he watched this occur. After moving you from his form, he witnessed as you practically spooned the pillow in your grasp. Face smooshed in, like you did with his chest, leg lifted over the side, arms surrounding his replacement.
Seeing as you chose the blanket over him, he couldn't help but be peeved. Even exhausted and hot, he wants you to choose him, even if he had just pushed you away.
At least tell him you’re mad. But it seems you’re too tired for that... shouldn’t you be able to pick him, conscious or not? With a sigh he yanks the blanket from your tucked grasp. A whine sounded in the room.
"to-ji..."
"c'mon." He pulled until you finally were awake enough to see him. Ignoring the words he had just spoken, his aforementioned grunts of it being "too hot" he lifted you from your spot onto his chest, your side of the bed soon baren as he swung his leg to kick your pillow off the edge, only to lean onto his side, locking you in his embrace.
