2024 Tokenization Boom: A New Era for Real-World Assets

In 2024, the landscape of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is experiencing a transformative shift, marking a significant milestone in the financial industry. Tokenization converts physical assets like real estate, commodities, and art into digital tokens on a blockchain, enhancing liquidity, accessibility, transparency, and security. This revolutionary technology makes high-value assets more accessible to a broader range of investors. As we explore the current state and future prospects of tokenization, it is clear that this technology is set to reshape the global financial ecosystem significantly.
Tokenization is predicted to be a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity by 2030, with market estimates suggesting it could reach up to $16 trillion. The United States is leading this revolution, followed by countries like Singapore, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, India, and Luxembourg.
The total value locked in tokenized assets has surged to $10.53 billion, with major financial institutions launching tokenized investment products. This signals a major inflection point for the industry, underscoring the significant role tokenization will play in the future of finance.
The benefits of tokenization are extensive. It allows for fractional ownership, increasing liquidity and enabling investors to buy and sell portions of an asset. This democratizes investment opportunities and bridges the gap between traditional and digital financial markets. Tokenization also reduces transaction costs by eliminating intermediaries and automating processes through smart contracts.
As regulatory frameworks evolve and technology advances, tokenization is set to revolutionize the financial industry. Intelisync provides cutting-edge RWA tokenization services to help you navigate and capitalize on this financial Learn more....

So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet, 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while, oh oh
In the bustling midst of London’s social season, Queen Charlotte's daughter, Princess y/n, found herself at the centre of attention. Raised amidst the pomp and protocol of high society, she was no stranger to the expectations placed upon her. Attending debutante events was simply another facet of her role as the queen's daughter—a duty performed with grace and an impeccably polished facade.
It was at one such event, a gathering of debutantes adorned in their finest, where y/n first noticed her. Eloise Bridgerton, amidst the sea of hopefuls vying for attention, stood out not just for her striking beauty but for an air of defiance that seemed to hover around her like an invisible shield. Eloise, with her quick wit and sharp tongue, had garnered a reputation as the most outspoken and unconventional of the Bridgerton siblings—a title she wore proudly, much to her mother Violet's simultaneous exasperation and admiration.
From across the room, y/n observed as Eloise engaged in animated conversation with other debutantes. There was a sparkle in her eye and a hint of mischief in her smile that drew y/n's attention irresistibly. Eloise's laughter, free and unbridled, cut through the polite chatter of the event like a breath of fresh air in a stuffy room. For a moment, y/n found herself captivated, her gaze lingering longer than was strictly polite.
Meanwhile, Eloise, amidst the whirl of introductions and compliments, couldn't help but notice the queen's daughter. Elegant and composed, y/n exuded a quiet confidence that commanded attention without demanding it. Unlike the other debutantes who fluttered around Eloise, y/n stood apart, observing with an intensity that hinted at a keen intellect beneath her composed exterior.
Their eyes met briefly across the room—a fleeting moment charged with unspoken curiosity and intrigue. It was a simple exchange, unnoticed by the swirling crowd around them but leaving an indelible impression on both Eloise and y/n. In that brief encounter, something stirred, a silent recognition that hinted at possibilities yet unexplored.
The grand presentation at the Palace was a spectacle to behold. The ballroom was adorned with glittering chandeliers and opulent decorations, filled with the crème de la crème of London society. Eloise stood in line, fidgeting with her gloves as she prepared to be introduced. Her mother gave her a reassuring smile.
“Stand tall, Eloise,” Violet whispered. “This is your moment.”
As Eloise stepped forward, she caught a clearer sight of Princess Y/N, standing beside her mother. Their eyes met once again across the room, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop. Y/N’s gaze was warm and inviting, a stark contrast to the intimidating grandeur of the palace. Eloise felt an inexplicable pull towards her, something she couldn’t quite understand.
Just as Eloise was about to be presented, the attention of the room shifted abruptly. The queens guards charging through the doors, whispers of “Lady Whistledown '' spread like wildfire, next thing you know, the queen is declaring she's seen enough and everyone is dismissed and Eloise found herself relieved of the spotlight as gossip overtook the ceremony. The mysterious writer had once again stolen the show, and Eloise couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the diversion.
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"
But you were everything to me
I was beggin' you, "Please don't go, " and I said
The opulent ballroom of Lady Danbury's estate shimmered with the flicker of candlelight and the murmur of polite conversation. Eloise Bridgerton, dressed in an exquisite gown of deep emerald silk that Lady Danbury had insisted upon, moved gracefully amidst the crowd, her gaze sweeping over the assembly of London's elite.
The event was a dazzling affair, attended by the highest echelons of society, each guest meticulously adorned in their finest attire. Yet amidst the glittering array of guests, Eloise's eyes sought out a familiar figure—Princess y/n, who stood with Queen Charlotte, radiating an air of quiet elegance that set her apart from the throng of debutantes.
Eloise couldn't deny the flutter of anticipation in her chest as she made her way towards y/n, navigating the maze of guests with practiced ease. Her heart raced with a mixture of nerves and excitement, unsure of how their conversation at Queen Charlotte's debutante event would influence their interaction tonight.
Meanwhile, y/n observed the revelry with a regal composure, her gaze occasionally drifting towards Eloise amidst the swirl of dancers and the lilting strains of the orchestra. The princess was acutely aware of the scrutiny she faced as Queen Charlotte’s daughter—the expectations of duty and decorum that shadowed her every move. Yet amidst the splendour of the ballroom, y/n found herself drawn to Eloise’s spirited presence and unguarded authenticity.
Violet Bridgerton, determined to secure another diamond among her brood, guided Eloise through the throng of guests towards the queen and y/n. Eloise, begrudgingly adorned in an elegant gown befitting her station, maintained a facade of polite disinterest as Violet introduced her to the queen and her daughter.
"Your Majestys, may I present my daughter, Eloise Bridgerton," Violet announced with practised grace.
Y/n, acknowledging the introduction with a nod, offered a polite smile that barely concealed her curiosity. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Bridgerton," she greeted eloquently, her voice carrying a warmth that belied her royal stature.
Eloise, though outwardly composed, felt a rush of nerves mingled with an unexpected flutter of excitement. She had anticipated the formality of the introduction, yet y/n's presence seemed to alter the air around her, making her acutely aware of every gesture and fleeting expression.
"Likewise, Your Highness," Eloise replied with a hint of her trademark wit, a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips. "Though I must admit, I am more accustomed to lively debates than royal audiences."
Y/n's smile widened subtly, a glint of amusement in her eyes. "I look forward to those debates, Miss Bridgerton," she replied in kind, a gentle challenge underlying her words.
The exchange, though brief, left an impression on both women. For Eloise, accustomed to the constraints of societal expectations, y/n represented a refreshing departure—an enigma wrapped in regal poise and quiet strength. And for y/n, intrigued by Eloise's spirited demeanor and quick intellect, the encounter ignited a curiosity that lingered long after the ball had ended.
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
As the evening progressed, Eloise and y/n’s paths collided again near the elaborate dessert table adorned with crystal bowls of sugared fruits and delicate pastries. Eloise, emboldened by Lady Danbury’s encouraging nod from across the room, approached y/n with a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes, nerves tingling beneath her skin.
“Your Highness,” Eloise greeted warmly, her voice betraying a hint of nervousness despite her best efforts to appear composed.
y/n turned towards Eloise with a gracious smile, her eyes alight with genuine interest. “Miss Bridgerton,” y/n replied with a nod of acknowledgment, noting the subtle tension in Eloise’s stance.
Their conversation flowed with the ease of familiarity yet tinged with the underlying currents of unspoken desire and mutual intrigue. They exchanged pleasantries about the music, the decorations, and the latest society gossip, each word carrying a weight of unspoken meaning that hung between them like an invisible thread.
Eloise, ever the conversationalist, couldn’t resist steering the discussion towards a topic that had intrigued her since their first meeting. “Your Highness, I must admit, I found your observations on the latest literary sensation quite captivating,” she remarked, her tone light yet tinged with curiosity.
y/n chuckled softly, appreciating Eloise’s intellect and the genuine interest she showed in their previous conversation. “Ah, but Miss Bridgerton, I fear my views on literature may not always align with conventional wisdom,” y/n replied with a playful glint in her eyes.
Eloise leaned in slightly, her gaze locking with y/n’s in a moment of shared understanding. “Isn’t that the beauty of literature, Your Highness? It allows us to explore different perspectives and challenge our own beliefs,” she countered, her voice laced with a mixture of admiration and genuine curiosity.
Their banter continued late into the night, punctuated by shared laughter and stolen glances that hinted at a connection deeper than mere friendship. For Eloise, y/n represented a kindred spirit—a beacon of hope amidst the rigid expectations of London society. She found herself drawn to y/n’s quiet strength and unwavering authenticity, traits that resonated deeply with Eloise’s own aspirations and struggles.
In those stolen moments between dances, y/n found herself captivated by Eloise’s infectious enthusiasm and fierce determination. She admired Eloise’s courage to challenge societal norms and speak her mind, qualities that set her apart from the polished facades of London’s debutantes.
As the evening drew to a close, Eloise reluctantly bid y/n farewell with a promise to meet again soon. Their parting left y/n with a lingering warmth in her heart—a feeling that defied the constraints of duty and hinted at the possibility of something more.
Romeo, save me, they're tryna tell me how to feel
This love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
Eloise and y/n found themselves entangled in a web of conflicting emotions and societal expectations. Despite the undeniable chemistry that sparked between them at Lady Danbury's grand ball, both struggled to come to terms with their growing attraction.
In the days that followed the ball, Eloise couldn't shake the memory of y/n's enchanting smile and the way her eyes lit up with intelligence and charm. She found herself stealing glances at y/n across crowded ballrooms, each stolen glance fueling a mix of excitement and apprehension.
Meanwhile, y/n wrestled with her own tumultuous emotions. As Queen Charlotte's daughter, she was keenly aware of the scrutiny her actions faced. The prospect of scandal and disgrace haunted her thoughts, casting a shadow over her budding friendship with Eloise.
Their paths crossed again at another glittering social event, where Violet Bridgerton, ever the matchmaker, introduced Eloise to y/n in hopes of sparking a connection. Eloise's heart raced as she exchanged pleasantries with y/n, their conversation laced with a subtle undercurrent of tension and curiosity.
Later that evening, as they found themselves alone in a quiet corner of the ballroom, y/n couldn't help but voice her uncertainties. "Miss Bridgerton, do you ever feel... conflicted?" she asked tentatively, her voice betraying a hint of vulnerability.
Eloise hesitated, her mind racing with unspoken thoughts. "I... I suppose I do," she admitted softly, her gaze searching y/n's face for any sign of understanding. "This world we live in—it's so... unforgiving."
y/n nodded in silent agreement, her fingers nervously toying with the fabric of her gown. "Sometimes I wonder if... if we're meant to feel this way," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Eloise reached out, her touch gentle yet reassuring. "I don't have all the answers, Princess," she admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "But I know that when I'm with you, everything feels... different."
Their conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Lady Danbury, who swept y/n away to greet other guests. Eloise watched as Lady Danbury whisked y/n away, her heart sinking with each step that carried them farther apart. Alone in the bustling ballroom, she found herself drawn to a quiet alcove, seeking refuge from the swirl of conversations and glittering chandeliers.
Leaning against a draped curtain, Eloise closed her eyes and let out a quiet sigh. Thoughts of y/n consumed her mind, their unfinished conversation lingering like an unspoken promise in the air.
She traced the intricate pattern of her gown absentmindedly, her thoughts drifting back to y/n's earnest question. Do you ever feel... conflicted? And back to her own comment before the conversation ended, when I'm with you, everything feels... different. How would y/n have responded to that? Did she feel the same way, or was Eloise's heart leading her down a path fraught with uncertainty?
The memory of y/n's smile flickered in her mind—the way it lit up the room, reaching out to Eloise like a beacon in the darkness of societal expectations. They had danced around the edges of something profound, something that could alter the course of their lives forever.
Lost in her reverie, Eloise was startled by the sound of approaching footsteps. She turned to find Benedict Bridgerton, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity. "Sister, are you all right?" he asked gently, his voice breaking through her thoughts.
Eloise managed a faint smile, though her heart still raced with unanswered questions. "I'm fine, Benedict," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of melancholy. "Just... lost in thought."
Benedict studied her for a moment, his gaze searching. "Is it about the Princess?" he ventured cautiously, knowing his sister well enough to sense when something weighed heavily on her mind.
Eloise nodded slowly, unable to suppress a sigh. "Yes," she admitted quietly. "We were... talking. About feelings, I suppose."
Benedict arched an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Feelings?" he echoed, prompting Eloise to elaborate.
"I told her... how I feel when I'm with her," Eloise confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "But then Lady Danbury interrupted us, and I never got to find out how she feels."
Understanding dawned in Benedict's eyes as he took in Eloise's words. He reached out, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Eloise, you know what they say about the young Princess," he said gently. "She's smart, perceptive. She'll understand."
Eloise managed a weak smile, grateful for her brother's reassurance. "I hope so," she murmured, her thoughts still lingering on y/n's last words to her.
As the ballroom bustled around them, Benedict offered his arm to Eloise. "Shall we join the others?" he suggested, his tone lightening with an attempt to lift her spirits.
Eloise nodded, drawing a deep breath to steady herself. "Yes, let's," she agreed, linking her arm with Benedict's. Together, they returned to the lively gathering, though Eloise's thoughts remained with y/n—wondering, hoping, and silently yearning for their next conversation.
I got tired of waiting
Wondering' if you were ever comin' around
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town, and I said
Days passed after the interrupted conversation at Lady Danbury's ball, each one stretching with anticipation and uncertainty for Eloise. She found herself eagerly attending every social event in hopes of catching another glimpse of y/n, her heart skipping a beat whenever their paths crossed across the crowded rooms.
It was at a smaller, more intimate gathering hosted by the Featheringtons that Eloise finally saw y/n again. The evening was alive with music and laughter, the air fragrant with the scent of gardenias and the promise of summer.
Eloise stood near the refreshment table, feigning interest in the punch bowl as she discreetly watched y/n across the room. y/n was engaged in conversation with Dowager Violet Bridgerton, their laughter mingling with the tinkling of crystal glasses.
Summoning her courage, Eloise took a deep breath and approached them. "Excuse me, Mama, may I steal the Princess away for a moment?" she asked politely, her voice betraying none of the nervousness fluttering in her chest.
Violets eyes flickered mischievously as she glanced knowingly between Eloise and y/n. "Of course, Eloise," she replied with a knowing smile. "Take her—though I warn you, Her Royal Highness has been entertaining us all evening with her wit."
Eloise felt a rush of relief and gratitude towards her mother as y/n turned towards her, her expression lighting up with surprise and delight. "Miss Bridgerton," y/n greeted warmly, setting down her glass to face her fully. "I didn't expect to see you here tonight."
Eloise swallowed nervously, suddenly feeling the weight of her confession at Lady Danbury's ball. But still she continued to escort the Princess through the crowd until they were outside in the garden, under the nights sky, completely alone.
"I wanted to apologise for our conversation being cut short," she began earnestly, meeting y/n's gaze with sincerity. "I... I meant what I said. About how I feel when I'm with you."
y/n's smile softened, her eyes holding a hint of something that made Eloise's heart skip a beat. "Miss Bridgerton,,," y/n replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper amidst the lively chatter around them. "I've been thinking about that conversation too."
Relief flooded through Eloise as she took a step closer to y/n, their proximity sparking a warmth that spread through her veins. "Really?" she asked, unable to contain the hope in her voice.
y/n nodded, her expression gentle yet filled with a quiet intensity that mirrored Eloise's own feelings. "Yes, really," she confirmed, her hand reaching out to gently touch Eloise's arm. "I didn't get to answer then, but... I feel something too."
Eloise's heart soared at y/n's words, her fears and uncertainties momentarily forgotten in the rush of emotions. "I'm glad," she murmured softly, her gaze locked with y/n's. "I wasn't sure how you'd feel, or... if we could even..."
Before she could finish, y/n leaned in closer, her lips brushing against Eloise's cheek in a tender gesture that sent a shiver down Eloise's spine. "I want to find out," y/n whispered, her breath warm against Eloise's ear. "If we could be something more."
Eloise's breath caught in her throat as she gazed into y/n's eyes, seeing her own hopes reflected back at her. Without hesitation, she reached up to cup y/n's cheek, her thumb caressing the soft skin beneath her touch. "I want that too, Your Highness" Eloise admitted softly, her voice filled with newfound courage and longing.
Y/N smilied, her eyes lighting up. “Please, call me Y/N. Titles are so tiresome, don’t you think?”
Eloise laughed softly. “Very much so. I find this entire season tiresome.”
In that stolen moment amidst the music and the soft glow of candlelight, Eloise and y/n leaned closer together, their lips meeting in a gentle kiss that spoke volumes of unspoken promises and the beginning of a love that dared to defy convention.
As they pulled away, breathless and smiling, Eloise felt a weight lift from her shoulders. Here, in the embrace of y/n's presence, she found not only acceptance but also the beginning of a journey she never dared to imagine—a journey of love, bravery, and the courage to be true to oneself.
They walked together in the garden, the conversation flowing easily. Eloise was captivated by Y/N’s intelligence and wit, and Y/N found Eloise’s rebellious spirit refreshing. As days turned into weeks, their friendship deepened, but so did the confusion. Can this go on forever?
Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you, but you never come
Is this in my head? I don't know what to think
The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm golden glow over the gardens of Bridgerton House. Eloise and y/n sat side by side on the swings, their feet lightly touching the ground, pushing back and forth in a gentle rhythm. The air was filled with the scent of blooming roses and the distant hum of London’s bustle, now just a distant murmur.
"I never imagined finding such peace in the heart of London," y/n remarked softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she swayed back and forth. Her eyes wandered over the garden, where vibrant blooms danced in the gentle breeze, their colours vivid against the backdrop of the setting sun.
Eloise, her legs stretched out in front of her, kicked lightly against the earth to keep the swing moving. "It's my favourite place to escape," she said, a small smile playing on her lips as she glanced at y/n. "Thank you for visiting me here."
Y/n turned to Eloise, her gaze filled with an unspoken tenderness. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity. She reached out, her hand finding Eloise’s, their fingers intertwining effortlessly. The simple touch sent a jolt of warmth through them, grounding them in their shared moment.
A comfortable silence settled over them, the only sounds the creak of the swings and the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. Eloise closed her eyes for a moment, savouring the serenity of the garden and the presence of y/n beside her.
"Do you ever wonder what the future holds for us?" y/n asked softly, her voice filled with curiosity as she turned to Eloise, who was still lost in the quiet of the moment.
Eloise opened her eyes, her gaze drifting towards the horizon where the sun was painting the sky in hues of pink and gold. "I used to worry about it," she admitted, her fingers absently tracing patterns on y/n’s palm. "But now... I like to think that as long as we're together, we can face anything."
Y/n's smile was gentle, her eyes reflecting the twilight’s colours as she leaned her head against Eloise’s shoulder. "I believe that too," she murmured, her voice steady with a quiet confidence. "We'll navigate this world together, Eloise."
In the tranquil embrace of Bridgerton House's garden, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the blossoming love between them, Eloise and y/n found solace in each other’s company. The swings moved back and forth, a gentle testament to their growing bond, anchoring them in a love that defied expectations and embraced the courage to live authentically.
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring
And said, "Marry me, Juliet
You'll never have to be alone
One afternoon in the opulent drawing room of the palace, y/n sat with Eloise, their conversation light and filled with quiet laughter. The warmth of the fire crackled in the background, casting flickering shadows on the richly adorned walls. Y/n leaned close to Eloise, sharing a private moment, both girls peppering kisses over each other's faces, enjoying the feeling of being in each other's embraces.
Unbeknownst to them, Queen Charlotte had returned earlier than expected, her steps muffled by the thick carpet. She paused in the doorway, her sharp eyes catching the intimate exchange between y/n and Eloise. For a moment, she simply observed, her mind racing with the implications.
"Miss Bridgerton!" Queen Charlotte's voice cut through the air, startling both young women. Eloise turned pale, her heart sinking as she realised they had been caught. Y/n sat frozen, her eyes wide with apprehension.
"Mother," y/n stammered, attempting to gather her thoughts. "I can explain—"
Queen Charlotte held up a hand, her expression unreadable. "There is no need for explanations, my dear. It seems the situation has clarified itself." She stepped further into the room, her gaze shifting between y/n and Eloise.
Eloise stood, her nerves taut with uncertainty. "Your Majesty, please understand—"
"I understand more than you might realise," Queen Charlotte interrupted gently, her tone softening slightly. She approached Eloise, studying her with a discerning eye. "Miss Bridgerton, do you care for my daughter?"
Eloise swallowed hard, meeting Queen Charlotte's gaze squarely. "Yes, Your Majesty," she admitted, her voice steady despite her nerves.
"And you, y/n?" Queen Charlotte turned to her daughter, her expression softening. "How do you feel about Miss Bridgerton?"
Eloise hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath. "Mother, I... I care for Eloise deeply. More than I ever thought possible."
Queen Charlotte nodded, her features reflecting a mix of concern and contemplation. "Love comes in many forms," she said finally, her voice carrying wisdom earned through years of navigating societal expectations. "It is clear to me that your feelings are genuine."
Eloise blinked back tears, overwhelmed by her mother's unexpected understanding. Y/n reached out, gently squeezing Eloise's hand in silent support.
“But regardless, you both are participating in acts only those who are married should be. I will not accept a scandal.”
"Mama, what should we do? We can’t imagine life apart!" y/n asked, her voice tinged with hope and apprehension.
Queen Charlotte smiled softly, a glimmer of amusement in her eyes. "Perhaps it is time we consider a different kind of arrangement," she mused, her mind already formulating a plan. "One that will allow you both to live authentically, without the confines of societal scandals, the only right choice in these conditions." She paused (dramatic effect no?)
“Marriage.”
And so, in that serene drawing room of the palace, a new chapter began for y/n and Eloise—a chapter marked by acceptance, love, and the courage to challenge tradition.
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress
It's a love story, baby, just say, "Yes"
In the warm, inviting drawing room of Bridgerton House, Eloise nervously clasped y/n's hand. The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows on the walls, adding an air of solemnity to the moment. Around them, the Bridgertons—Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, and the younger siblings—gathered, curiosity etched on their faces.
Eloise took a deep breath, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and apprehension. "I... We have something to share," she began, her voice steady despite the butterflies in her stomach.
Anthony, ever the observant eldest brother, arched an eyebrow. "Go on, Eloise. What is it?"
Eloise glanced at y/n, drawing strength from their presence. "y/n and I... We've decided to take a step forward together. We're engaged."
There was a collective gasp of surprise from her family. Daphne's eyes widened, her hand instinctively reaching for Benedict's. Benedict leaned back in his chair, a grin spreading across his face. Colin adjusted himself, trying to process the unexpected news.
With the initial shock beginning to subside, the Bridgertons exchanged bewildered glances, each processing the news in their own way.
"Wait, you two are... engaged?" Colin asked, his voice filled with surprise.
Daphne, recovering from her initial shock, spoke gently. "But... how? I mean, are you even allowed to... marry?"
Eloise smiled, a touch of defiance in her eyes. "Yes, Daphne. Queen Charlotte herself has given us her blessing."
Colin, adjusting to the news, nodded thoughtfully. "I see. It's certainly unconventional, but if Her Majesty approves..."
Anthony, ever the pragmatist, chimed in. "Well, then. It seems we are in uncharted territory, but as long as you're both certain..."
Eloise and y/n exchanged a glance, their bond palpable. "We are," y/n affirmed softly.
"Eloise, are you certain about this?" Francesca asked, her voice tinged with concern.
Eloise nodded, her gaze unwavering. "Yes, Francesca. I've never been more certain about anything in my life."
Benedict, always the voice of reason, spoke up next. "Well, this is quite unexpected, but if it's what makes you both happy..."
Hyacinth interjected, unable to contain her excitement. "Eloise, this is incredible news! I didn't think you'd ever settle down."
Anthony, who had been silently observing, finally spoke. "Eloise, Princess Y/N, if this is your decision, then you have my support. Always."
Eloise squeezed y/n's hand tighter, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you, Anthony."
As the evening wore on, the atmosphere shifted from confusion to acceptance. The Bridgertons, while initially taken aback, found themselves embracing Eloise and y/n's decision. It was a moment that marked not only a new chapter in Eloise's life but also a testament to the changing times—a time when love was beginning to transcend boundaries and expectations.
Outside, the bustling city of London continued its rhythmic pulse, unaware of the quiet revolution unfolding within the walls of Bridgerton House—a revolution led by two hearts brave enough to defy convention and choose love, in all its unexpected forms.
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you
Eloise stood by the window of their home, gazing out at the bustling streets of London. It had been nearly a year since their marriage, and the city seemed to hum with a different energy. Change was in the air, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in what she and y/n had accomplished together.
The early morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Beside her, y/n stirred in their sleep, their features softened in the gentle dawn. Eloise smiled fondly, reaching out to brush a lock of hair from y/n's face. They had been through so much together—the secret glances, the stolen kisses, the fear of discovery—and yet, here they were, stronger than ever.
Their marriage had sparked conversations across London society. Some viewed it with curiosity, others with disdain, but Eloise and y/n had found unexpected allies among their peers. Lady Danbury, always a force to be reckoned with, had become a staunch supporter, using her influence to deflect any lingering whispers of scandal.
As Eloise reflected on their journey, she couldn't help but marvel at how far they had come. They had faced challenges and uncertainties, but through it all, their love had remained steadfast. They had created a sanctuary within their home, where they could be themselves without fear of judgement or reprisal.
Outside, the city continued to wake up to a new day. Carriages rumbled past, merchants called out their wares, and London life carried on its bustling rhythm. Eloise turned back to y/n, watching as they stirred awake, their eyes fluttering open to meet hers.
"Good morning," y/n murmured, their voice still laced with sleep.
"Good morning," Eloise replied, leaning in to press a soft kiss to y/n's lips. They shared a quiet moment together, the warmth of their embrace speaking volumes where words fell short.
"I never imagined we'd be here," y/n whispered, their fingers tracing patterns on Eloise's cheek.
"Neither did I," Eloise admitted, her heart swelling with emotion. "But I wouldn't change a thing."
They lay entwined in each other's arms, basking in the simple joy of being together. Outside, the city continued its daily hustle, but in their sanctuary, time seemed to stand still.
In the weeks and months that followed, Eloise and y/n continued to navigate their newfound roles as partners in life and advocates for change. They attended social events hand in hand, their presence a quiet yet powerful statement of love and acceptance. Through their actions, they hoped to pave the way for others who dared to love outside of society's conventions.
Occasionally, they would steal moments alone, away from the prying eyes of society, to remind themselves of the bond they shared. Whether it was a quiet evening at home or a stolen kiss in a secluded corner of a ballroom, every moment together reaffirmed their commitment to each other.
Their love story became a beacon of hope for those who yearned for acceptance and understanding. Slowly but surely, attitudes began to shift. Families whispered their support in drawing rooms, friends offered quiet encouragement over tea, and London society found itself grappling with the idea that love knew no boundaries.
As the years passed, Eloise and y/n's love story continued to unfold, weaving itself into the fabric of London's history. They faced challenges and triumphs together, building a life filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering devotion.
Eloise often found herself marvelling at the resilience of y/n, their strength and determination a constant source of inspiration. Together, they navigated the complexities of societal expectations and personal desires, forging a path that defied tradition and embraced love in its purest form.
And so, in the quiet moments before dawn, as the city stirred awake outside their window, Eloise held y/n close, knowing that their love had not only changed their lives but had also left an indelible mark on the world around them.
I did not plan the lyrics around an epilogue and ran out HAHA oopsie

Solo Leveling (anime)
For a long time, artists have experimented with phenomenology, or how art is changed by the way a person experiences the art. In visual arts, phenomenological experiences are usually achieved with optical effects, where art looks different when viewed from different angles, with ultimate results that are, in my opinion, gimmicky. But as a concept, I always felt phenomenology could find new artistic life in the medium of video games. Even in the most basic, non-narrative video games -- say, for example, the original Super Mario Bros. -- the way the player plays the game crafts a narrative experience. Mario can move carefully or aggressively, slowly or quickly, exploring for secrets or barreling to the end; he can die many times or none. However the game is played, it manufactures a "personality" for the character Mario unique to each player. In that interplay between the contributions of a game's creator and player, video games become a wholly unique art form.
Yet, as video games developed, and other art forms have retroactively become influenced by video games, I wonder if the real outcome of phenomenology in games has been an increasing tilt toward myopic individual artistic experience, or solipsism.
In my review of Sword Art Online, I mentioned that Solo Leveling's properly translated title is "Only I Level Up," which perfectly encapsulates the solipsistic focus of this genre of Gamer fiction. It is not simply about being powerful, it is about being the only one who is powerful. In Solo Leveling, this point is made at the end of the second episode, when protagonist Jinwoo receives a game prompt to become a "Player." As he is the only Player, every other character is necessarily a non-Player, or in Gamer lingo, an NPC.
I find something admirable about the nakedness with which Only I Level Up cuts to the quick. The most frustrating aspect of Sword Art Online as a viewing experience is how it attempts to hide its solipsistic power fantasy. The singleminded focus the show has on Kirito's power as the only power that matters undercuts everything else SAO claims to be, whether that's a tense death game, a heartfelt romance, or a story about the legitimacy of online community. Only I Level Up dispenses with pretense; its true face is right there in the title.
To frame it another way, I once watched Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, the first film in Late Tom Cruise's career as a psychopathic do-my-own-stuntsman, where the core appeal of a Tom Cruise film is to see what death-defying feat the actor pulls off. And, yes, the stunts Tom Cruise performs are spectacular to watch. The problem is that these stunts comprise, collectively, 10-20 minutes of a film that is well over 2 hours. The rest of the film is mired in tedious plot, weak stabs at character drama, banal comic relief -- all the things a Hollywood movie is "supposed to have," even if they are not the core appeal of the film at all. Because of this, I was much more impressed by The Raid, an Indonesian action movie that excises nearly all plot and character to provide 90 minutes of nonstop action, or Mad Max: Fury Road, a film that is accurately described as a two-hour car chase.
Only I Level Up reaches a similar level of efficiency as it pushes Jinwoo from encounter to encounter. The loop is simple: Jinwoo is too weak, gets pushed around, levels up, wins, and the moment he wins the story already has a new stronger adversary waiting to appear. All other characters are either helpful assistants/helpless innocents Jinwoo has to protect, enemies to overcome, or, in the case of the show's brief cutaways to other powerful figures in-universe, power goals that Jinwoo is striving toward (and will ultimately exceed). The last category, though seemingly the most extraneous, is pivotal for providing context to just how strong Jinwoo is, what exactly it means when his numbers go up, and also for fueling the core grievance of weakness that makes this show so tastelessly indulgent: "Look at these rich, strong, beautiful people at the top. Why shouldn't I have what they have?" Though this is a Japanese anime, it's an adaptation of a Korean manwha, and the class envy so prominent in other Korean popular works like Parasite and Squid Game manifests here too. The S-rank Hunters that Jinwoo is leveling toward are suited executives in penthouses, people who own companies and walk around in sharp suits, while Jinwoo starts the story nearly getting killed just to make ends meet. The show's power fantasy is thus not simply about getting stronger, but about class inversion; Jinwoo's first ally is a rich corporate heir who becomes Jinwoo's drudge laborer (carrying equipment, mining loot with a pickax) and gleefully calls Jinwoo "boss." There's a scene I can only describe as "job interview revenge porn" where a suited executive, noticing Jinwoo's hidden talent, attempts to headhunt him with a lucrative contract; Jinwoo effortlessly turns the tables, reveals he's worth more than the interviewer's entire company, and cons the interviewer into paying him obscene amounts of money for nothing. Despite being humiliated, the interviewer leaves happy because Jinwoo gave him his contact info -- a direct line to Jinwoo is just that valuable.
The flipside of the class envy power fantasy is the humiliation Jinwoo suffers before his ascent to the top. In true solipsistic fashion, just as his strength is ultimately superlative, so is his initial weakness; he is nicknamed, no joke, "Mankind's Weakest Hunter." The early episodes are rife with masochistic internal monologues emphasizing again and again this weakness, even at inappropriate times. When Jinwoo sees a living statue cut a guy in half, his immediate thought is "That guy was a D rank, and he was killed in one hit... what will it do to me, who is a lowly and pathetic E rank?" My guy, it'll do exactly the same thing. Since the statues can annihilate anyone regardless of rank, they're actually an equalizer as far as Jinwoo is concerned, but Jinwoo still has to belabor his weakness. It's all in the service of breeding resentment toward the unfairness of Jinwoo's situation, which makes his later ascendance more cathartic. Sword Art Online also pulled this bullshit, though in a different way, since SAO had a fanfic-like squeamishness toward ever showing Kirito in any sort of weakened state. Instead, after Kirito defeats a boss, everyone baselessly calls him a cheater (sorry, beater). The baselessness is the point. It's not fair they called him a beater! It's not fair! It's not fair! It's not fair!
Obviously, this mindset is puerile, both in SAO and OILU, and in all the endless imitators of their ilk. The more interesting question is: How did we get here? How has this become the face of Gamer fiction?
In my Sword Art Online review, I framed the ascendance of SAO in 2012 as a byproduct of a longstanding culture-wide sneering at video games, emphasized by Roger Ebert's declaration that video games could never be art, but also demonstrated by the dismissive and insincere way video games were adapted into film during the preceding two decades. Either you got silly children's movies (Spy Kids 3D, The Wizard) or hysterectomy-like disembowelments where a D-list director's vanity project wore the original material's skin Buffalo Bill-style (Resident Evil 2002, Super Mario Bros. 1993). One has to go all the way back to 1982's Tron to find a film that treated the concept of video games with any sort of respect, and that was a film from the teenager-driven arcade era, before Nintendo indelibly associated the medium with kids toys.
In this milieu, the Gamers were being humiliated. Their hobby, their passion, the guiding focus of their nascent online communities and identities, was kid stuff, nerd stuff, not worth shit in the culture at large. It's no surprise that Gamers would glom onto media that tapped into their feelings of resentment. Kirito is a real-world misfit who is all-powerful in the game world. The virtual world is presented as a location of power inversion, where the weak becomes strong, similar to the class inversion that guides Solo Leveling -- and this correlates to the idea that the Gamer in real life is a humiliated underclass.
Yet, there is a crucial difference between Sword Art Online and Solo Leveling: Solo Leveling doesn't take place in a virtual world.
One of the few elements of SAO I actually like is how it depicts Kirito in the real world. I mentioned before that the show is allergic to showing Kirito in any state of weakness, but this is only true in the game world. Kirito is never weak; Kazuto Kirigaya often is. The Aincrad arc ends with an emaciated, atrophied Kazuto weakly limping across a hospital; the next arc begins with Kazuto getting his ass beat in kendo by his little sister. The show's only exciting action scene comes at the end of the otherwise lifeless Alfheim arc and doesn't involve flashy magic or swordplay, but rather a tense and realistic Waffle House-style knifefight in a parking lot between Kazuto and Average Adult Male. Kirito is fully dependent on the virtual world for his power, which explains SAO's insistence on the virtual world being as legitimate as the real one: that way, Kirito can matter.
In its typical pretense-dispensing fashion, Only I Level Up instead drapes game logic on reality. Jinwoo's Gamer power is real-world power; leveling up gains him increased strength, money, and status in a recognizably modern Seoul, South Korea. This difference comes at the cost of the fantastical environments and paradise-like alternate reality so prominent in SAO. It's not that OILU is less of a Gamer work for it; its video game system is more fleshed-out and true to real video games than SAO's is, and it is at times comedically insightful about the modern video game landscape. (I laughed out loud when Jinwoo, rejecting a message prompting him to change class to Necromancer because it would screw up his build, immediately reconsiders when a FOMO-inducing follow-up message cryptically says "Are you sure? Necromancer is a hidden class.") But the video game system exists only as a system. There is no sense of place or worldbuilding, virtual or otherwise; dungeons are either draped on the real world or take place in generic caves and castles. The virtual world was paramount to SAO's themes and aesthetic. In 12 years, where has it gone?
The answer is more fundamental to the way people experience video games today, or even more broadly, how they experience the internet as a whole.
Communities on the early internet were typically niche and nerdy and existed in chatrooms and forums. The thing about chatrooms and forums is that, though digital, they embody a sense of place. (It's called a chatROOM for a reason.) A forum's structure is static, divided into boards and threads, and remains that way for each user who accesses it. For instance, everyone who goes on /vg/ at the same time will see the same messages. /vg/ exists independently of any one user, and will continue to exist even if individual users log off. Due to this consistency, the forum takes on a sense of place, like a building people can go into and leave at will. MMORPGs, the focus of Sword Art Online, add a visual component to this same idea. Everyone is in the same World of Warcraft. Though they may do different things in it, go to different cities or dungeons, play in different ways, the World itself retains its shape and character.
By contrast, the way most people interact with the internet today is via social media, which eschews spatial consistency in favor of individualized "feeds" of algorithm-driven (or user-curated) content. When you go on Twitter, the content you are presented with is a wholly unique combination, yours alone. Your Twitter is different from your friends' Twitter, even if -- sharing similar interests -- your algorithms have presented you with some overlapping content.
Due to this individualized transience (this phenomenology, let's say), Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok are not "places" the way forums or MMORPGs are. You couldn't describe them as a building, or depict them as a mansion the way Julian Dibbell does an old Multi-User Dungeon in A Rape in Cyberspace. And the removal of this sense of place erodes the feeling of community present in old forums and MMORPGs, where there is a static world outside the individual and thus an external existence toward which a person can feel a sense of duty or responsibility. Similarly, social media promotes a greater sense of inequality and anti-democracy. If you post on a forum, your post will exist at the top of the board, at least until other people post and push it down. Every poster has the same opportunity to be seen and interacted with. In social media, your capacity to be heard when you make your shouts in the dark is entirely tied to the algorithm's decision on whether to present your shout to enough individualized feeds.
Solo Leveling is Gamer fiction for the social media age. Whereas SAO, and its significantly more community-minded predecessor .hack//Sign, are deeply concerned with online environments as a distinct place, Solo Leveling sees its game environments as nebulous, pseudo-spatial pockets that exist briefly and are then destroyed. Jinwoo displays nonexistent interest or curiosity in these environments as anything beyond leveling challenges, compared to Kirito, to whom the world of Aincrad holds deep significance. Likewise, Jinwoo is distinguished by his ordinary clothing; all of his gear is, for seemingly no reason, invisible. (Everyone else in setting wears ridiculous fantasy armor, often to the point of being a joke.) In Solo Leveling, video games are only important as a determiner of skill, a way to establish superiority over others; anything suggestive of an alternative world or culture or even aesthetic is outright rejected. Hence why so many of its enemies and environments, scant as they are, are modeled on Dark Souls, a game that has become synonymous with hardcore challenge (while still being a single-player game that the developer has designed for you to win). MMORPGs, and online communities in general, are passe. The online experience now is individualized, perfectly phenomenological, each in their own bubble, the solipsistic hero of their own story. Everyone else is an NPC.
Likewise, Solo Leveling is not an escapist fantasy, the way SAO or any isekai is. Perhaps there's something quintessentially Japanese about the isekai: an appeal specifically to the otaku NEET who has retreated from society at large. It invites its audience to forsake the real world in favor of a fantastical one, compared to the Korean class consciousness that stages its definitive power fantasy in reality. And as the internet and the real world have continued to blend together in real life, to increasingly bizarre political and economic results, I wonder if Solo Leveling's real world adaptation of the isekai formula might wind up being significantly more prominent in the pop cultural landscape moving forward. Solo Leveling is already the hottest show airing today; I expect to see high-profile imitators soon.

Complex trauma after torture and Angband world building masterlist
warnings for discussions of trauma from abuse/torture and extremely unbalanced power dynamics
More specifically here
Effects of Angband Trauma on Interpersonal Relationships
I’m going to make a second post to go into more detail on specific survivors!
Note: a lot of this would also apply to Aerin! I covered a lot of it on my post about her and complex trauma and I’m working on a second one
1. Survivors of Angband often experience hyper sensitivity to changes in mood and temperament. Most in Angband exist at the mercy of their overseers and other denizens of the fortress. When they are angry, upset or annoyed, regardless of cause, it is not uncommon for this to be taken out on the captives who have nowhere to go. In this environment, some might try to make themselves as insignificant or inconspicuous as possible, some might attempt to placate in the hope to mitigate abuse of themselves or others, some might even try to provoke anger either in an attempt to get something seen as inevitable over with or to bear the brunt of abuse instead of letting it fall on someone else.
Many survivors of Angband can become tense or afraid at a raised voice, certain tones, or simply being in the presence of someone who is upset or angry, especially if that person is in or is perceived to be in a position of power or authority.
On the same note is hyperawareness of certain body language and difficulty disconnecting certain body language or words with trauma responses. This can be conscious or subconscious.
The methods of survival within Angband might be replicated on the outside; some might seem antagonistic, intentionally trying to draw the anger of others around them, attempting to placate someone who might have no idea that their words or body language had been perceived as threatening, or attempting to make themselves inconspicuous again.
2. Difficulty maintaining the flow of a conversation
Conversation between prisoners and other denizens can not truly be equal. Verbal defiance or anything taken as such are heavily punished.
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll continue to say it! I cannot stress enough how profoundly demoralizing it is to be in an environment where you cannot make any change or influence and where your words mean next to nothing about what happens to you.
Conversations between prisoners are heavily restricted and censored. Friendships and bonds challenge the enforced hierarchies.
4. Improper reactions to authority. There is complex protocol in Angband for what body language, tone and other signifiers must be performed when speaking to higher ups. For some figures, special titles and even kneeling or other obvious signs of submission are required. Anyone who defies, challenges or does not submit to authority are brutally punished and the punishment commonly extends to the thralls around them too.
On the outside it is not uncommon for survivors to mistrust or act in ways seen as improper to authority. They might act overly subservient or the opposite; refusing even reasonable suggestions or commands out of fear that their compliance will be exploited, or simply because they don’t trust that they can identify danger or exploitation (those who feel the latter might also express this through compliance)
5. Masking and significant hiding of emotional states. What is necessary to adapt to Angband is met with suspicion and hostility on the outside. I won’t go too much into it because in my post Angband tag I have a lot but many survivors take great lengths to hide the extent of their trauma
Survivors are known to steal (because nothing can be theirs and they do not trust that they will be given anything without a terrible price), to lie (because they have been forced to choke down the truth when it might lead to further pain, and so much leads to pain), they are known to attack even their own kin (because they are so very afraid).
They learn very quickly when they re enter their communities that they must adapt. Some cannot. Many former prisoners are vagrants. They wander alone or with one or two they escaped with. Some adapt in the same ways they adapted in Angband, some become more numb, obeying and moving without question, not attempting to regain the identity and life that had been stolen from them
Related to this is a suppressing of normal and healthy emotions, including anger. Abuse, and captivity all robs, one of one’s ability to be angry on their own behalf, and behalf of their loved ones if they are also in such a situation. I won’t go into it too much detail here, because I actually have an upcoming post about trauma and anger (using Maedhros and Aerin for my examples) but I did want to note here. This could also manifest in a variety of ways in the aftermath, including being quick to anger, having difficulty regulating it, or feeling numb to situations that might make one feel angry, or having the impulse or response to placate instead of reacting, in the anger that one feels.
I really can’t overstate how this sort of trauma (in this case captivity but this would also apply to survivors of abusive households) effects every aspect due to the utter loss of control that is experienced while with the perpetrator(s).
probably have too many posts on it and unfortunately there will continue to be more! If you read this far thank you for your patience/genuine and as always please feel free to ask more!

Any Nighttime in Las Vegas spoilers/hints/tidbits to keep us fed? 👀
Nighttime in Las Vegas - author notes on future updates!!
Okay first of all, thank you for the ask!! I am extremely honored by your investment in the fic 🥰
Note: I am not sure how heavy you wanted the spoilers to be when you submitted the ask, so I kept it on the more vague side. I hope this satisfies what you were looking for!
This work is my most ambitious to date and has been an inspiring and invigorating challenge. The effort I have put into this work has been enourmous, and I am incredibly grateful for all the attention the work has gotten. Thank you!! 🎉💕
More info below cut! Non-spoiler (chapter 5) updates first, then Major Spoilers (chapters 6, 7, and 8) next.
Chapter 5 (most recently uploaded chapter):
- Chapter 5 (specifically scenes 11/Medbay and 12/Brimstone’s Office) currently being re-written. I thought that scene 11 was pretty sloppily written and there was a lot of key info that didn’t get properly communicated, and the changes are intended to communicate the plot line with better storytelling/use of characters and dialogue. The major changes in scene 11 are complete and I am doing minor fixes to scene 12 to keep the story consistent.
- To elaborate on the above, scenes 11 and 12 establish that: 1) Omen was rescued per his Distress Call, and Cypher was not. 2) Omen needed to be revived, and is still injured. 3) Fade has been sent on a Search and Rescue mission for Cypher. 4) in discussion with Sage and Brimstone, it is discovered that the mission Cypher and Omen were on was not approved, and that the documents Omen has access to are not in the database and likely forged. 5) Killjoy performs an assessment showing that there have been no external threats / sources of tampering that could be responsible for this incident. 6) Sage and Brimstone bring up Cypher’s history of secret missions, defying orders, and otherwise sketchy business. 7) Omen insists that he was not aware of this history, and asks to compare his own mission history to that of the database to see what else he has been unknowingly doing. He finds three other missions of suspicious origin.
Chapter 6 (in the works):
- Chapter 6 will begin with Cypher’s return. Brimstone interrogates him about his actions and motivations and Cypher attempts to gaslight gatekeep girlboss his way out of guilt, but it backfires and only makes him look worse.
- He does not tell the entire truth about himself, but he specifies that Omen is innocent. Omen is thus cleared of all charges of treason.
- Omen, having discovered that Cypher has lied to him about their joint missions, is furious. He has conflicting loyalties— one to the Protocol, his home, his entire livelihood; and to Cypher, his mission partner, his protector and protected, and his good friend. To have one betray the other is world-shattering.
- Cypher is placed under arrest at HQ. His duties are distributed among the other Agents including Sova, Fade, and Killjoy.
- Omen overhears a conversation where Cypher is begging Fade to let him go with her to Las Vegas, stating that she knows what happens to him there and he can’t let the same happen to her. Fade brushes him off and says her Radiant abilities will ensure her safety.
- Omen visits Cypher in jail to confront him. An argument ensues.
- At the end of the argument, Cypher tells Omen to bring the Box to Viper. He thinks she can help.
Chapter 7 (not drafted):
- chapter 7 deals with the fallout between Cypher and Omen.
- Cypher is in jail, but as you might imagine, he tries to break out. He manages to escape Headquarters without setting off any alarms, because well, he built them himself and can take them apart just as easily.
- By happenstance, Omen sees him escape through the portal at headquarters but is unable to stop him. He follows Cypher through the portal.
- Cypher reveals some information about his past, i.e. everything he didn’t say during his interrogation.
- When Omen realized that he can’t convince Cypher to come back to the Protocol on his own, he shoots him neatly in the head and princess-carries his body back to the Medbay.
Chapter 8
- cypher realizes he is stuck in HQ jail again. Screaming crying throwing up (RIP babygirl but he did it to himself)
- Omen takes the box to viper. He tells her outright not to lie, he’s already had enough of Cypher’s bullshit.
- Sabine tells him what she knows.
More notes:
I am doing my best to publish chapters that are well-planned and well-refined. Unfortunately, having ADHD + fretting over details 24/7 means I am not a very speedy writer, and I apologize for the long waits between chapters.
The document I have in my computer is much more extensive and includes dialogue and additional scenes, but I’d classify those as major spoilers and didn’t include them here. I also have plot points planned out for the rest of the fic, but those are major spoilers in addition to being undecided/malleable so I didn’t want to set them in stone here.

Fai Imma see Wicked (the movie) on a date today and I need to know easter-egg knowledge so I can impress him with my rad brain
omg soup have fun I hope you love it! It captured the hearts of every gay in the early 2000s.
Hmmm, easter eggs. I mean, there are a lot of references hidden in there, but since you haven't seen The Wizard of Oz and I'm assuming your date is also European and hasn't seen it, those won't be as fun.
Uhhhhhhhhhh.
Okay, so one right off the bat: at the beginning you'll see a rainbow and a waterfall, and the camera will pan over it. This is a reference to Somewhere Over the Rainbow, the song Judy Garland sings in the 1939 movie that became her signature song.
youtube
And then later on when Dorothy lands in Oz she remarks that they're on the other side of the rainbow, implying that this is the way (or at least one way) to cross into Oz from Kansas. (or Nebraska or whatever) That shot is meant to metaphorically take you out of our world into the land of Oz.
2. When they get to the Emerald City and see Wizomania, the two women giving the performance are Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth, the original actresses for Elphaba and Glinda on Broadway. (Idina also voiced Elsa in Frozen, at least in the English version) It's a very sweet 'passing the torch' moment, and Idina was brought to tears by Cynthia Erivo's performance at least once. The guy who does the opening for Wizomania is Michael McCorry Rose, who was an understudy for Fiyero during the original Broadway run-who I believe is also the partner of Stephen Schwartz, the composer of Wicked. (and also wrote the music for The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Prince of Egypt)
3. Like, everything in this movie is practical effects. I mean, not literally everything, but it's a rare instance of a modern film where CGI is really only used to enhance the practical effects and fill in the background. The opening scene where the kids are running through the flowers, I believe the hills in the background are CGI-ed in but they did literally plant thousands of flowers for the shot. The train, Shiz, the inner parts of the Emerald City, those are all real sets.
4. In Defying Gravity, there will be a moment where Elphaba is flying up and her cloak grows very long-this is a reference to the stage magic done to make Elphaba 'fly' on Broadway. By magic I mean they used a cherry picker. The basket was modified so the actress could strap herself in and have the harness blend in with her costume, with fabric covering the arm to make it appear like part of her cloak.
youtube
(Idina actually fell from this during one of her performances and broke her leg)
Oh, and on the occasion the cherry picker didn't lift, (which wasn't uncommon, it was set not to raise if Elphaba wasn't properly strapped in, and with how stage numbers are she really only had a few seconds to do it right and if she didn't she just had to own it) the protocol was for all the actors to lower themselves to the floor until they were laying down, to mimic Elphaba 'rising' above their heads. Which isn't related to the movie but I think that detail is funny.
5. Idk if you're watching a dubbed version or not-I would at least watch the original Defying Gravity on Youtube or something afterwards if you're watching a dub because Erivo's performance is legit a religious experience-but the actors sang live. They did swap the audio out for the studio recording, but every music number they were actually singing their little hearts out.
Including Defying Gravity. And I would like to stress, Cynthia Erivo was in this crazy flying harness literally flipping around through the air, and she's belting out a Tony-deserving performance the whole time. If any of you have sang past grade school and know how you have to breathe to sing like that, how doing somersaults messes up your center and the harness constricts your rib cage and lungs, it is insane to behold. Apparently the first time they shot the final bit, it was literally like in the movies where everyone was stunned into silence until one person started clapping. Multiple crew people were moved to tears working on this number with her. I was very cautious about how they'd adapt Defying Gravity, but I can honestly say it's one of the best stage-to-screen adaptions I've ever seen of a song. It made me feel the same way as when I saw the play live.
Oh, and a small one 6. they'll mention that when the Wizard arrived in Oz, he cast a spell by saying 'oh-ma-ha.' The Wizard is from Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska. If you've never heard of it, I don't blame you. I've been there, show choir is really big in Nebraska. The running joke among my show choir was that it was big because there's nothing else to do in Nebraska. Don't blame the Wizard for getting away and going "fuck that no place like home shit, I'm staying here."

Mass Effect 3 replay, Priority: Geth Dreadnought:
-Adas – Why have the geth survivors not uploaded to a server yet?
There’s at least one server on Rannoch. Surely they should be able to reach it?
-I’ve been debating whether to take Liara or Javik on missions where I can only choose one companion. Javik won.
Sorry, Liara. So far Javik’s had better dialogue; that’s not a knock on you, your writers have just really dropped the bar this game.
-It’s odd that Edi can access the Dreadnought’s docking protocols with her Cyber Warfare suite. In ME2 she implied the geth mind is huge; even with their losses, they should still be able to block her.
Given the circumstances, I’ll chalk it up to the geth being distracted.
-Once again: Why is Shepard performing the highly dangerous task of walking through the damaged docking tube to ensure the others can get in? Why not, say, a highly qualified engineer like Tali?
-The docking tube walk is cinematic but doesn’t actually do much. You just trudge along. I wouldn’t say it really adds anything to the game.
-Oh, look. The docking tube broke off and Shepard’s asked Tali to review the schematics to open another.
Tali didn’t just go in the first place because…?
-Why are there keyboards and monitors all over this ship?
It’s a geth ship. Geth are software. A geth currently in a platform should be able to connect directly to the ship. Or speak to the geth in the ship. Why would they ever need a keyboard or monitor?
This isn’t even a repurposed organic station, like the one in ME2. The geth built this ship. There’s no excuse for these to be here unless the geth want them here and I can’t think of a good reason.
What, do they LARP about working side by side with organics in their downtime?
-Also, why are there cables everywhere?
That doesn’t feel like a geth thing to do. They’re machines and machines are all about precision. They wouldn’t leave cables lying around because there wouldn’t be a reason to.
Loose cables are closely associated with Reapers, so that might be their fault. (And what does that say about Reapers?)
But there’s no other Reaper tech until we get to Legion, so these feel more like they’re supposed to be geth and that is again baffling.
-I can never find the hull breach Shepard mentions and I check every playthrough.
-Javik: There’s no sense of self-preservation in these machines.
Tali: Networked intelligence! As we kill them, their attacks become more aggressive.
I suspect that explains quite a bit of the Morning War. As more geth are destroyed the remaining attack more ferociously, causing the quarians to attack more frantically in self-defense, amping the geth response…
A vicious cycle that didn’t end until the quarians retreated. And now we’re in the middle of quarian/geth war, take two. They’re just going to to keep egging each other on unless an outside force can break it up
-Tali says the ship design is almost quarian.
Logical. Geth were designed by quarians; it makes sense their technology would be based off of quarian technology.
-So. It turns out that Charge is bugged on this mission.
For me it failed most of the time in the battery. That made the mission a LOT harder than it needed to be. I finally resorted to not using it in the last stretch and made it through.
Apparently it’s also bugged on Rannoch, so that’s something to look forward to. Ugh.
-I thought it wasn’t possible to save between the battery and meeting Legion. I kept trying to on my playthroughs and it would be greyed out.
This time, I actually killed all the geth in the battery and the game autosaved. When I reloaded that autosave, I could properly save the game.
That would have saved me so much time last playthrough when I kept reloading to see Edi’s dialogue with Legion.
This mission is very buggy.
-Legion, if you go renegade: You know we would never agree to subjugation by the Old Machines.
Tali, take notes. Legion defied his people because he thought they were making a mistake. Hint, hint.
-Legion, about not being controlled by the Reapers: Our architecture prevents it. We are too complex.
I would love to hear more about this. Reapers are hyper advanced machines but they can’t control Legion because Legion is too complex? Really? Really?
I feel that’s a pretty awful excuse on the writer’s part, but taken at face value it’s pretty funny. The Reapers are apparently shitty programmers. They put all the points into organic mind control
There’s probably something that can be done with the Rachni queen and Legion both being hive minds and able to resist Reaper control.
Clearly, the solution is to get the salarians working on psychic tech. Once all organics are joined into a hive mind indoctrination will no longer be possible.
Look, it’s no worse a solution than the Crucible. At least mine has foreshadowing.
-Legion: The creators attacked. The geth wished to live. The Old Machines extended an offer.
This is said in a format reminiscent of If-Then statements. It also reminds me of geometry proofs. Fitting, as Legion is a machine.
It also places the blame entirely on the quarians. While I’m inclined to agree the quarians are primarily at fault, it’s interesting that Legion structured the sentence such. It’s designed to make the listener draw the same conclusion. Quite a social maneuver for a being nominally bad at them.
As for my feelings on it: As I said, if you back someone into a corner they’ll do anything to get out. It’s not surprising that the geth accepted the Reaper’s offer. That said, it’s still a choice they made and they should be held accountable for it.
-Legion: Had the creators not attacked, it would have been unnecessary.
Legion’s making it emphatically clear that he blames the quarians for this entire situation. He’s in a tough spot – his people are under attack, they’ve made a deal with the devil, and their best bet at survival and freedom is the devil’s sworn enemy. Who is allied with the force attacking his people.
Yeah, Legion’s having a very shitty day. I’ll give him a pass on blaming the quarians. I’m cursing them for their stupidity and I’m just incidentally involved.
-The science behind this situation is worth than Star Trek’s science babble. How does using Legion to broadcast the signal to all geth even work?
Yes, the geth are a hive mind that Legion is connected to. We also just established that the Reapers can’t control him. So how they can use him to control the rest of the geth?
If I really wanted to I could come up with an answer, but since the writers couldn’t be bothered I’m not going to either. Let’s just chalk this up to the writers wanted Shepard to rescue Legion and this is the excuse they came up with.
-Edi, about the shackles on Legion: Yes. Used by organics, it is understandable. For geth to install this in a formerly independent unit is… unnecessary.
Love the implication here that the geth did not take Legion refusing to agree to ally with the Reapers well.
I think Legion is slowly starting to come to terms with the fact that not all intra-geth squabbles can be resolved peacefully. He keeps getting shoved into situations where he has to confront that firsthand.
-Why don’t the other geth reenable the Dreadnought’s drive core?
I suppose we can assume Legion did something to take the drive core out permanently or at least delay reenabling it, but the game does not say such.
-Legion disabled the Geth Dreadnought as a gesture of goodwill and the quarians promptly destroy it.
Peace negotiations are off to a great start.
-The geth attack Shepard and co as soon as Legion is freed and before the quarians amp up their attack on the Dreadnought.
Theoretically, they should be free of the Reaper signal. Legion’s no longer broadcasting it and he implies later that the short range signal on Rannoch isn’t in full working order yet.
So these geth may be Reaper controlled or they may be willingly attacking Shepard because they’re fully onboard with allying with the Reapers.
I suspect it’s the latter.
Yep, no problems with the negotiations.
-Gerrel is an ass and should be removed from command. He’s not coordinating with the rest of the Fleet; he’s moving on his own and leaving them to support him or die.
-Why do geth fighters have any seats? Or storage space?
A platform is not required to control the fighter. Geth can just upload themselves to it.
I suspect this is another instance of the writers forgetting the established lore of the geth.
It would have been kind of funny if Legion had abandoned his platform and uploaded himself to the fighter and you spent the rest of the Rannoch arc speaking to him in the fighter.
-Legion saved Javik from drifting off.
I suspect Javik will have nightmares about that. Saved by a synthetic, ugh.
-Gerrel, you deserve more than a punch.
Shepard’s a spectre. They don’t need a reason to kill you. You’ve given them plenty by violating Council regulations repeatedly. Be glad all you got was a punch.
-And Xen continues to be a mad scientist. She really wants to study Legion.
-Hmm. Fighter squadrons are targeting liveships.
Considering the liveships have as much firepower as dreadnoughts, I can’t muster much sympathy. The quarians made them valid targets.

“The DeFi Game Changer on Solana: Unlocking Unprecedented Opportunities”
Introduction
In the dynamic world of decentralized finance (DeFi), new platforms and innovations are constantly reshaping the landscape. Among these, Solana has emerged as a game-changer, offering unparalleled speed, low costs, and robust scalability. This blog delves into how Solana is revolutionizing DeFi, why it stands out from other blockchain platforms, and what this means for investors, developers, and users.
What is Solana?
Solana is a high-performance blockchain designed to support decentralized applications and cryptocurrencies. Launched in 2020, it addresses some of the most significant challenges in blockchain technology, such as scalability, speed, and high transaction costs. Solana’s architecture allows it to process thousands of transactions per second (TPS) at a fraction of the cost of other platforms.
Why Solana is a DeFi Game Changer
1. High-Speed Transactions
One of Solana’s most remarkable features is its transaction speed. Solana can handle over 65,000 transactions per second (TPS), far exceeding the capabilities of many other blockchains, including Ethereum. This high throughput is achieved through its unique Proof of History (PoH) consensus mechanism, which timestamps transactions, allowing them to be processed quickly and efficiently.
2. Low Transaction Fees
Transaction fees on Solana are incredibly low, often less than a fraction of a cent. This affordability is crucial for DeFi applications, where high transaction volumes can lead to significant costs on other platforms. Low fees make Solana accessible to a broader range of users and developers, promoting more widespread adoption of DeFi solutions.
3. Scalability
Solana’s architecture is designed to scale without compromising performance. This scalability ensures that as the number of users and applications on the platform grows, Solana can handle the increased load without experiencing slowdowns or high fees. This feature is essential for DeFi projects that require reliable and consistent performance.
4. Robust Security
Security is a top priority for any blockchain platform, and Solana is no exception. It employs advanced cryptographic techniques to ensure that transactions are secure and tamper-proof. This high level of security is critical for DeFi applications, where the integrity of financial transactions is paramount.
Key Innovations Driving Solana’s Success in DeFi
Proof of History (PoH)
Solana’s Proof of History (PoH) is a novel consensus mechanism that timestamps transactions before they are processed. This method creates a historical record that proves that transactions have occurred in a specific sequence, enhancing the efficiency and speed of the network. PoH reduces the computational burden on validators, allowing Solana to achieve high throughput and low latency.
Tower BFT
Tower Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) is Solana’s implementation of a consensus algorithm designed to maximize speed and security. Tower BFT leverages the synchronized clock provided by PoH to achieve consensus quickly and efficiently. This approach ensures that the network remains secure and resilient, even as it scales.
Sealevel
Sealevel is Solana’s parallel processing engine that enables the simultaneous execution of thousands of smart contracts. Unlike other blockchains, where smart contracts often face bottlenecks due to limited processing capacity, Sealevel ensures that Solana can handle multiple contracts concurrently. This capability is crucial for the development of complex DeFi applications that require high performance and reliability.
Gulf Stream
Gulf Stream is Solana’s mempool-less transaction forwarding protocol. It enables validators to forward transactions to the next set of validators before the current set of transactions is finalized. This feature reduces confirmation times, enhances the network’s efficiency, and supports high transaction throughput.
Solana’s DeFi Ecosystem

How to Vet Crypto Services: Ensuring Safety and Reliability

In the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrencies, ensuring the safety and reliability of the services you use is paramount. With numerous platforms and services popping up, it's easy to fall prey to scams or unreliable providers. This guide will help you navigate the process of vetting crypto services to safeguard your investments.
Understand the Service
First, identify the type of service you're evaluating. Is it an exchange, a wallet, a DeFi platform, or another kind of service? Each type has its own set of standards and requirements. Research the service's reputation by looking for reviews and feedback from reputable sources. Platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and specialized crypto forums can provide insights into the experiences of other users. A reliable service will be transparent about its team, location, and regulatory status. Check the "About Us" section on their website and verify the information provided.
Security Measures
Ensure the service employs up-to-date encryption and robust security protocols. This includes secure SSL connections and advanced security measures to protect your data. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) should be a standard feature for any credible service, adding an extra layer of security to your account. For exchanges, verify that they store the majority of funds in cold storage, significantly reducing the risk of hacks.
Regulation and Compliance
Check if the service is licensed and regulated by relevant authorities. Regulatory compliance is a strong indicator of a service's legitimacy. Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies are essential for regulatory compliance. These policies help prevent fraudulent activities and ensure the service is operating within legal boundaries.
User Experience and Customer Support
The platform should be user-friendly and intuitive. A complex interface can lead to mistakes and a poor user experience. Test the responsiveness and helpfulness of their customer service. A reliable service will offer prompt and effective support.
Financial Stability
Research the service’s financial backers and funding sources. Well-funded services with reputable backers are generally more reliable. Some services offer insurance for user funds in case of breaches. This added security can provide peace of mind.
Community Feedback
Engage with the community on platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and specialized crypto forums. Community feedback can provide valuable insights into the reliability of the service. Review sites like Trustpilot or industry-specific review sites can offer additional perspectives on the service's performance.
Red Flags to Watch Out For
Be wary of services that withhold crucial information. Transparency is key to building trust. Avoid services that promise guaranteed returns or seem too good to be true. These are often signs of scams. Pay attention to any negative news or past incidents involving the service. A history of issues can be a major red flag.
Conclusion
Vetting crypto services is a critical step in safeguarding your investments. By conducting thorough research and being vigilant about potential red flags, you can avoid unreliable providers and make informed decisions.

Solana’s Surge: Navigating the Path to Profit Amidst Volatility
Solana, the high-performance blockchain platform known for its fast transaction speeds and low fees, has experienced a remarkable surge in recent months, capturing the attention of investors and traders alike. However, amidst the excitement surrounding Solana's meteoric rise, navigating the path to profit requires careful consideration of the opportunities and challenges presented by volatility in the cryptocurrency market.
Solana's surge in popularity can be attributed to several key factors. Its robust infrastructure, capable of processing thousands of transactions per second, has positioned Solana as a promising platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects seeking scalability and efficiency. Moreover, Solana's vibrant ecosystem, supported by a growing community of developers and users, has fueled innovation and adoption across various sectors.
The surge in Solana's price has created significant opportunities for investors seeking to capitalize on its growth potential. However, it has also introduced heightened volatility, with sharp price fluctuations occurring within short time frames. Navigating this volatility requires a strategic approach and a thorough understanding of Solana's fundamentals and market dynamics.
One strategy for profiting from Solana's surge is to adopt a long-term investment mindset. Despite short-term price fluctuations, Solana's strong fundamentals and growing ecosystem suggest that it has the potential for sustained growth over the long term. By accumulating Solana tokens and holding them through market cycles, investors can position themselves to benefit from the platform's continued expansion and adoption.
Another approach is to actively trade Solana in response to short-term price movements. This strategy requires a deep understanding of technical analysis, market sentiment, and trading psychology. Traders can capitalize on Solana's volatility by buying low and selling high, taking advantage of price swings to generate profits through strategic trading strategies.
Additionally, investors can explore yield-generating opportunities within the Solana ecosystem. With the rise of DeFi protocols built on Solana, such as decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending platforms, and liquidity pools, investors can earn passive income by providing liquidity, staking their Solana tokens, or participating in yield farming strategies. These opportunities offer an alternative way to profit from Solana's growth while mitigating some of the risks associated with direct token investment.
However, it is essential to approach investing and trading in Solana with caution, as volatility can lead to substantial gains or losses. Risk management strategies, such as setting stop-loss orders, diversifying portfolios, and conducting thorough research, are crucial for navigating the inherent uncertainties of the cryptocurrency market.
Furthermore, investors should stay informed about developments within the Solana ecosystem, including protocol upgrades, partnerships, and regulatory developments, as these factors can influence Solana's price dynamics and market sentiment.
In conclusion, Solana's surge presents exciting opportunities for investors seeking to profit from the platform's growth and innovation. However, navigating the path to profit amidst volatility requires careful consideration of investment strategies, risk management techniques, and market dynamics. By adopting a strategic approach and staying informed, investors can position themselves to capitalize on Solana's potential while managing the inherent risks of the cryptocurrency market.

How SonicxSwap Keeps Your Crypto Safe: A Deep Dive Into Security & Smart Contract Audits
SonicxSwap
In the world of cryptocurrency, security is not just a feature — it’s a necessity. As decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms grow, so does the need for robust security measures to protect users’ assets. SonicxSwap, a leading decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Sonic blockchain, is built with security at its core. In this blog, we’ll explore how SonicxSwap keeps your crypto safe through rigorous smart contract audits, advanced security protocols, and user-centric protection strategies.
What Makes SonicxSwap Secure?
1. Advanced Smart Contract Audits
One of the pillars of SonicxSwap’s security is its smart contract audits. These audits are thorough checks conducted by third-party security firms that identify vulnerabilities, bugs, and potential exploits in the code. Smart contracts are self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into lines of code, and ensuring their security is crucial to preventing hacks and unauthorized access.
At SonicxSwap, every smart contract undergoes multiple rounds of audits to ensure they are fully secure before they are deployed on the platform. The audits check for:
Code Vulnerabilities: Identifying potential risks that could be exploited.
Security Flaws: Preventing breaches in user funds and platform functionality.
Optimizations: Enhancing the contract’s efficiency without sacrificing security.
By performing these audits regularly, SonicxSwap minimizes the risk of security breaches and ensures that the platform remains trustworthy for all users.
You can access the detailed audit report for SonicxSwap here: SonicxSwap Contract Audit.

The Importance of Smart Contract Audits in Crypto Security
Smart contracts are the backbone of decentralized platforms like SonicxSwap, allowing users to trade and exchange tokens without relying on centralized intermediaries. However, like any software, they can be prone to bugs and security vulnerabilities. A flaw in the smart contract could lead to significant financial loss, making smart contract audits crucial for platform safety.
How Smart Contract Audits Work:
Automated Analysis: Automated tools scan the smart contract code to detect common vulnerabilities.
Manual Review: Security experts manually inspect the code to find less obvious vulnerabilities.
Audit Reports: After the audit, a detailed report is provided, highlighting areas for improvement or confirmed security flaws.
By having multiple audits from reputable third-party auditors, SonicxSwap ensures that its smart contracts are as secure as possible. Users can feel confident knowing that the platform’s contracts have passed rigorous checks before being deployed.
SonicxSwap’s Commitment to User Safety
SonicxSwap’s dedication to security extends beyond audits and encryption. Here are some of the platform’s additional safety measures:
Community Governance: $SX token holders have a say in the platform’s future updates and security protocols through a decentralized governance model. This ensures that all decisions are made with the community’s best interests in mind.
