I can't sleep... anyone else ever think of how awful of a person Nadakhan is. But also how his crew members weren't bad people, they were just desperate people who he took advantage of?

Dogshank was just a literal CHILD. when she met Nadakhan. Like 14 at most. My girl literally had pigtails. All she wanted was validation from people around her, or an ego boost from being "the best" at everything. And he turned her into a monster??? Because she was lonely???

Same thing for everyone else on Misfortune's Keep. A pirate crew of mainly poor people with slight quirks that had NOTHING, NOWHERE TO GO, AND NO ONE TO REMEMBER THEM IF THEY WENT MISSING. WHICH IS WHY NADAKHAN THOUGHT OF THEM AS THE PERFECT VICTIMS!!

HE DOESN'T PREY ON EVERYBODY, HE ONLY PREYS ON DESPERATE PEOPLE WITH LITTLE TO NOTHING TO LOSE. THIS COUNTS FOR ALL THE NINJA, BECAUSE THEY EACH HAD SOMETHING THEY'RE EXTREMELY DESPERATE FOR. OH MY GOD.

my personal headcanon is that after flemythal uses the well's power on my lavellan for the first time, it sort of forcibly readjusts her accent when speaking elvhen, from "reasonably fluent modern dalish" to "crisply upper-class ancient arlathan". and she doesn't actually notice this at the time, bc by the time it happens, she's already Experienced Crestwood, and doesn't speak elvhen often otherwise.

but the next time she talks to solas and drops in a word or phrase in (stilted and unhappy) conversation, he very much does notice the shift, and feels a sense of palpable horror that she's already been a bit changed.

Ok- Mind you, Chapter 2 has like 26 pages, while chapter 3 has 40-50+ pages of google docs with 5 arcs, and stuff.

And I'm wondering if ya'll would prefer if I split up Chapter 3's plot and move some parts of it to Chapter 4. Then, I would post Chapter 3, and work on Chapter 4 separately.

Or should I just keep all the long arcs within Chapter 3??

SPEAKING OF MEDS, MINE FINALLY FUCKING SHIPPED TODAY

I was too late to put in the order yesterday by like... 10 minutes OTL

Which means that's just one more day they're not going to be here because it took them until nearly closing TODAY to process the order (on me for choosing a super busy pharmacy)

Prayer circle or whatever the fuck for me being an at least partially functional human being once I start the Zoloft and get everything else back in my system

so. the bad news:

early stages of kidney failure

hypothyroidism

inflammation of the pancreas

the good news:

there's a treatment plan

if she reacts well to the treatment she should gain weight

she's not in pain so if she's on meds and eats different food more suited for her current health issues she should be comfortable and at ease

with treatment if it goes well it shouldn't greatly affect her life expectancy and of course she's already almost 16yo so that could mean another year or two or in best case scenario three to four but that's what's been expected already so no change there
