Starman from NES's Pro Wrestling
Tumblr media
Starman does not have a Ryu Number.
(clarification below)
There hasn't been much play for the VWA and VWF roster. The only other appearance I could find listed for the entire cast is the Amazon in WarioWare: Twisted!, and even then...
Tumblr media
The microgames being literally minigames programmed by the WarioWare cast in-universe aside, most official depictions of the Amazon don't have a head fin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Couple that with the above microgame, Instant Replay, not being part of the microgame set based entirely on Nintendo games, which Pro Wrestling is as far as I can tell, I'm not inclined to count that as the Amazon in the first place. A reference, sure.

Something is going on with Retro NSO
I figured this stuff should be part of a post because I think it's an interesting thing to talk about.
As of the last few updates, I started to notice some changes to the NES and SNES emulators specifically, particularly related to emulation of accessories.
NES Four Score
Tumblr media
If you don't know what the NES Four Score is, it's an accessory that allows you to play the NES up to 4 players.
I had actually never really datamined the NES emulator that much but at one point I randomly decided to give it a real shot for the July 2024 update (version 6.9.0).
Then I got actually surprised to notice code for playing using the Four Score, so I eventually went versions back, and found out it was a recent addition of 6.6.0, back in September 2023.
However, it is a little weird, it doesn't seem to be really accurate (to be more exact it only implements one ID for the second controller port, if you know, you know), but it seems functional. In fact in the 6.5.0 update (June 2023), it seemed to have been actually forced on all games, for some reason.
I couldn't notice any code regarding the NES Zapper or any other accessories however, but something that kind of gets me is that I don't notice any code for the Hori 4 Players Adaptor, which is like the Four Score but for the japanese Famicom, and it has some differences on a technical level.
My suspicion is that this was worked on when they were looking into Rare Studio titles, and R.C. Pro Am 2 is definitely a game that uses it. That said, there is one game on NES NSO already that supports the Four Score, but you cannot use it: It's Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day!, which is kind of a sports games with various sports. (For some reason Nintendo is not using the newly localized ROM and that's a shame.)
SNES Super MultiTap
Tumblr media
This is not new, this was part of the SNES emulator's code the entire time since launch, but considering we just talked about the Four Score for NES, I figured it it would also be a good time to talk a little bit about it, and bring you up to speed.
On SNES, there is the Super MultiTap that can let you play up to 5 players on the same system (it plugs into the second controller port, where you can plug 4 controllers on that, plus the first controller on the first controller port on the system).
There are actually 6 games that can use the Super MultiTap on SNES NSO as of right now, but you cannot play more than 2 players currently, BUT I confirm that it actually does emulate the accessory regardless, just that the application does not let you go past 2 players, but the games do recognize that the device is plugged.
Those games are Super Puyo Puyo 2 (actually available since SNES NSO launch!), Natsume Championship Wrestling, Amazing Hebereke, Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen'in Shūgō!, Smash Tennis, and The Peace Keepers.
I figured it would be worth mentioning, because I don't think the addition of Four Score to the NES emulator is just an experiment, it might be possible that SNES NSO might get a major update too regarding the ability to play up to 4 or 5 players for a limited amount of games in the future... especially because of...
SNES Mouse
Tumblr media
Like the Super Multitap, the SNES NSO emulator actually contained code to emulate the SNES Mouse the entire time since launch. However, there has been a new development as of today.
I already talked about this in one of my posts, but I'll just do a roundup of what we datamined in the past: Initially, the SNES emulator checked for specific game identification to enable the SNES Mouse emulation, and looked for 3 specific games.
We don't know what those games are, but considering the limited amount of games, I believe it is reasonable to assume they were limited to games on SNES that only worked with the SNES Mouse and nothing else, in which case, we can assume the following games:
Mario Paint
Mario & Wario
The problem however... those are the only SNES games that released that requires the SNES Mouse to play. You'd wonder what could be the 3rd game that could be best played with a Mouse, but I have a list of what could be it:
Mario Paint (PAL version)
Sound Fantasy
For a few reasons however, I don't believe the PAL version of Mario Paint would be likely, and it leaves the unreleased Nintendo game Sound Fantasy as the other option, we know it was actually completed, and it required the SNES Mouse to play. I won't delve too much on that game, but think of it as a mix of Mario Paint and Electroplankton on DS together, but back in 1994.
In later updates, they removed code that refers to the game identification and relied on game metadata instead. That was done fairly quickly in its life even.
That would have been the end of it if it wasn't for today's SNES NSO update (3.10.0), where a major rework of SNES Mouse emulation was done:
They added the ability to emulate the SNES Mouse on both controller ports, it used to be only on the first controller port.
Internally they can now do input replays of SNES Mouse devices.
There's code for configuring the behavior of the SNES Mouse between either Original, or something else.
This is actually rather interesting, this was added in the emulator between February and August 2024, so this is a legit recent development.
The mention of the SNES Mouse behavior configuration is also interesting, because it means they're looking into ways to support the SNES Mouse in different, possibly more accessible ways than using a USB Mouse.
The fact that they can also emulate the SNES Mouse on both controller ports is also potential evidence that they're looking further into other games than just SNES Mouse only titles, as some games did use the mouse on the second port instead, while leaving the first SNES controller plugged.
To this day, I haven't seen any code for the Super Scope just yet, or the Satellaview for that matter, unfortunately.
Conclusion
Just as a bit of a tl;dr for people who don't like reading:
They secretly added support last year for the NES Four Score to allow 4 player multiplayer, but isn't used yet.
They secretly had SNES Super Multitap support since day one to allow 5 player multiplayer, but isn't used yet.
They secretly had SNES Mouse support since day one, but today (18 September 2024) they released an update that reworked it significantly.
The developers seems to be busy adding or reworking accessories as of the last year. I gotta be honest, I find this a little suspect. We might be going onto something major soon that reworks the NES and SNES applications for multiplayer and more.
I hope so much that would be sooner rather than later.
...also, please, add localized ROMs to NES and SNES NSO. There's no reason not to have them.

Today in "Games That Will Never Be Made"
Aggrivated by Smash's absence from the EVO main stage and legally forbidden from killing Sakurai Masahiro in order to make a new installment, Nintendo decides to semi-revive the NES fan favorite Pro Wrestling with the reveal of a new Mario Sports entry.
The opening cinematic is a swooping shot of four wrestling rings (arranged like a D-Pad), in which four matches are already happening. A panning shot starts on Mario and Bowser doing standard Mario vs. Bowser shit (dodging fireballs, getting swiped at by claws), moving to King Boo and Petey Piranha pushing and palm-striking each other sumo-style.
The camera stops and goes out of focus, as Luigi and Waluigi comically enter the frame. They're having the cliched nerd slap-fight, with Luigi wailing miserably as Waluigi laughs spitefully.
Pushing his opponent away, Luigi suddenly stops, looking between Waluigi and the ring his brother is in, with Kevin Afghani giving his most Martinete-esqe "eh?"
He makes a time out motion to Waluigi. A speech bubble hovers near his head, containing an icon of a red nose with a spikey mustache next to a question mark. Luigi points to the bubble. Walugi's eyes narrow in annoyance, and he points to the fourth ring with a distinctly unimpressed "weh".
A sudden cut shows Wario, in a shoddily modified Warioman outfit, leaping from the top rope onto an unseen opponent, who is represented by a first-person camera. Wario lands atop his foe, and begins throwing man-sized punches at the opponent. After a few blows, a frying pan pops up and blocks his fist. As Wario leaps sway, clutching his hand, the camera spins to reveal he has been pummeling none other than CAPTAIN SYRUP. She kips up and starts running towards her archenemy. With a shot from between Wario's legs, we watch Syrup slide to a stop kneeling on one knee, and she reels her arm back with the distinctive sound of a shotgun being cocked. The next shot is a close-up of Wario's suddenly blue-tinged face, with tears shooting out of the ducts and bullets of sweat on his brow, the upwards-shooting speedlines confirming that he had clearly been crotched, Chyna-style. A jagged shout-bubble shoots out of Wario's mouth, revealing the title:

Pro-Wres Tag Team
Blazar: The commander gives SKaRD a dressing down over the failure. Gebalga starts acting, infecting the communication networks. Having determined where the EMP generating organ is, they determine a Tilsonite Spear fashioned from parts of Garamon can penetrate the heat shield, if fired by Earth Garon using the Mega Shot, Hirano presenting the new variant. Gento, after recalling the times Blazar has interfered with his fighting, leaves the Blazar Stone on his locker. For the operation, SKaRD is cooperating with Gento's old unit to lure Gebalga into place, members referencing the time Gento had them most scared, his disappearing 3 years ago during a lab evacuation. The Tilsonite Spear successfully damages the EMP organ, allowing Earth Garon to enter combat, but it's still overwhelmed. Gento seeing this reaches for the Blazar Stone, but remembers, and so attacks on foot. Blazar speaks to Gento in his own voice, reminding him of what they have seen together, and reminded properly of their first encounter 3 years, where they both reached out to save the other, Gento finds his faith in Blazar restored, the Stone flies out and back. Blazar fights Gebalga, and pulls out the Tilsonite Spear, which turns into the Tilsonite Sword, producing a new stone, and slices it in half. As Gento discovers the damage, Haruno makes a call to someone, reporting the second wave has been repelled.
Gotchard: Ichnose wakes up early to help out before school, his mother mentioning Kudoh said he had helped her out, but he feels it's the other way. Atropos informs Lachesis and Clotho that Glion, their master, wants them to take a more proactive role in creating Malgams, and Clotho finds an ideal candidate in self proclaimed strongest man, Golem Goriki. Ichinose has just noticed that Chemie pairs add up to 10, Kudoh shocked at his late realisation, though Sabimaru quietly notes those two also fit the pattern, while Renge returns KaMantis in exchange for SasukeMaru and Energyl, and shows that the two of them managed to capture GengenChouchou, BulletBaang, HiikEscue, BakuoNzumi, DoctorKozo and FlayRose. Requesting guidance, they're lead to a wrestling gym, where the owner is being shookdown by the yakuza, and helped by WrestlerG, when the yakuza pull guns, Gotchard uses BulletChouchou to get them off. Goriki, merged with GorillaSensei, comes to challenge Asahi the owner, they have history. Gotchard is overpowered but Valvarade drives him off, Spanner then demands WrestlerG, Ichinose refuses to separate the bond despite his injuries, and the others back him up. Asahi tells how Goriki once crippled his star pupil, slowly destroying the business, and while he was once Sunchine Mask, he wishes to be able to fight alongside WrestlerG just once. In order to teach Hotaro how to counter the Windmill Back Breaker, Goriki's finisher, WrestlerG merges with Asahi so his body can manage, becoming something almost the opposite of a Malgam. When Goriki returns, he is faced by Gorchard AntWrestler, AsahiG even tagging in, and defeat Goriki. After talking to Minato, Asahi reluctantly forces WrestlerG to leave.
Kingohger: Before Nephila can say anything, Dugded appears and shrinks her, declaring he'll use her the next day to wipe out Shugoddom. Jeramie relates to the others how he witnessed the end battle of the Bugnarok unification war, and Nephila Idomonarok Ne defeated Daigorg and begged for unity, only for that unity to come in the form of them turning on her, he never saw her after she helped him escape, but having felt her warmth he cannot bring himself to fight. Rita points out this will further damage human, Bugnarok relations and Yanma believes they will need God King-Ohger to fight her, and thus Jeramie, and if Jeramie won't fight he'll force him to by trial by combat, Rita meanwhile arrests Himeno so she doesn't pursue Grodie, and Kaguragi decides to try begging for mercy, Gira despairing at everything, more so as Himeno traps Rita in a cage watching the newest Moffun & Me, with subliminal messaging against Grodie, then joins Kaguragi, Jeramie and Yanma wind up beginning to brawl. Dugded marvels at the breakup and tells Grodie he's up. Gira despairs the next day, desperately trying to strike a laughing Dugded as the giant Nephila attacks. And then Nephila is tied in web. The 5 other kings declare Dugded PRANKED!, and criticise Gira for not seeing through the subtext still. Jeramie had told them long ago that the Venomix Shooter was a memento of Nephila, thus this must be Grodie's handiwork, and so they all, without speaking, coordinated this all, and as a bonus were able to broadcast Dugded's gloating to clear the names of Jeramie and the Bugnarok. Dugded goes to sulk as the Kings use God King-Ohger to stop Nephila, seeing her briefly regain her senses, Jeramie takes the chance to tell her he loves her. As Gira offers Jeramie some comfort after, Dugded, annoyed by the King's constant interference, decides fine, they'll do it without kings, and warps all of them away to the worst possible place. The kings awaken in a strange land of cities, of vehicles on wheels, of offices and and trees. A world called Earth.
Outsiders: Ecole stresses to Brain how powerful Zein is. Banno's consciousness has survived by returning to the net, scolding Brain for not fighting, even Ecole is annoyed by Banno. Unfortunately though, Brain thinks Zein is right, Ecole doesn't care, if any of the robots revived for Outsiders go rogue, Ark can just hack them. Yuto interrupts to say that even if you were an enemy of humanity, what's important is what you fight for now, after showing his Showa Rider cards, he leaves, and Brain decides to follow, feeling a kinship in their having fought for their loved ones. Yuto takes him to BOARD to meet Tachibana, Nico and Horobi, who feels a similarity to Brain, but is annoyed by the way he asks about it. Nico doesn't understand why they plan to receive Kamen Rider Chronicle, since it only seemed to be needed on a limited scale to test Zein's abilities, but Tachibana plans to achieve the goals quicker by a wide release, and the Rider Cards should facilitate the card game version of Kamen Rider Chronicle, and then use the powers of the Kamen Riders to eliminate humanity, and thus malice, to the shock of Horobi, Nico and Brain. Banno hears this via Brain, and informs Foundation X, while Yuto reveals he is from a different timeline, and never fought to protect his loved ones. Nico refuses to order Kamen Rider Chronicle released even at gunpoint, and Horobi moves to defend her. Yuto reveals he is from a future ravaged by humanity due to Horobi not destroying them. Tachibana decides to deal with the Humagear, and Ark takes over Horobi, as for now they are united in purpose, Ark-Zero facing Garren. Ark-Zero overpowers Garren, but Yuto joins the battle, transforming into Zein. Brain contemplates his mistake in joining Zein, then recalls, in a time that might have been a dream, recalling how all the kaijin fought to the bitter end. Zein used Balde King to initiate an Evolution 4 Card, but Kamen Rider Brain blocks the attack at the last second. Brain pleads to Yuto that even if he isn't the Yuto he knew of, he is still a Kamen Rider, and right now he is the very evil Kamen Rider is supposed to fight. Yuto considers his words enough to disengage, but Garren takes the Evolution Giraffa card and takes on King Form. Using his own Evolution Four Card, he blasts Ark-Zero, injuring Horobi and forcing Ark out. The Zein Driver forcibly controls Yuto, declaring it will take care of the judgement, for it is Zein, saviour of this timeline. Faking Nico's voice, it orders CEO Tsukuru to release Kamen Rider Chronicle. And George Karizaki, finding the situation unexpected, takes the Juuga Driver, and prepares to act.

FLASH REPORT: Oklahomian Tetris Kid 'Blue Scuti' failed to advance Semi Finals against New Yorker 'Tristop' at the 2024 CTWC in California [#OneNETnewsEXCLUSIVE]
Tumblr media
(Written by Craig Ichabod Williams & Mitch Williams / Herkleton Oaks Elementary School news intern of Cartoon Network News and Senior Tech Correspondent of Nickelodeon News)
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA -- E-sports in the Tetris world would fire up the annual offline competitions, rising to new heights at the Classic Tetris World Championship in Pasadena, California, United States of America (U.S.A.) last Sunday afternoon (June 9th, 2024 - Pacific local time), using a classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) version of the 1989 Tetris game.
A classic Tetris player from New York named 'Mr. Tristan Kwai', known as 'Tristop' with 3 gaming session points scored in the Quarter Finals and 311 Tetris lines, while 'Mr. Willis Gibson', knowningly also as 'Blue Scuti' with his plushie toy of Yoshis from Super Mario games, has failed to advance to the Semi Finals with 1 gaming session point and 328 Tetris lines, supposedly compete against the last remaining Tetris players in the Grand Finals, where it potentially headlined with 'Alex T.', 'DogPlayTetris' and 'TheDengler'.
Before that in a Special Event last week on Friday (June 7th, 2024). A multimedia YouTube podcaster, social media influencer, pro-wrestler of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)'s current U.S. champion and the now-guest Tetris player named 'Mr. Logan Alexander Paul', lose himself out with zero (0) gaming session point in 4th place at CTWC 2024's Special Event. Gibson received 2 gaming session points against Mr. Logan, embarking his way to a Special Grand Finals with 'PixelAndy'.
In the early-Q1 2024, Gibson has broken and beat the entire game with a kill screen crash of nearly 160 levels that breaks its unreachable code, and crushing its Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) combined. It is fully unclear if gaming developers originated from the Soviet Union in Russia and the United States of America, who legally bought copies of the Tetris game may potentially receive a 3-digit or above the 5-digit figure offline cash incentive as a reward only for Gibson.
E-sports enthusiasts across the world are feeling really low because it's the big disheartening loss of Mr. Gibson, who personally, didn't make it to the top in the upcoming Grand Finals of his Tetris game on this same night in Pasadena.
Wrapping the e-sports competition, Gibson did pull it off and missed the Tetris drop within minutes before his latest defeat for this year's annual e-sports Tetris competition: "I thought i was but I screamed of, I misdrop the 'T' and I couldn't get 3 Tetrises after that", he said in an exclusive post-defeat interview thru TeleRadyo Serbisyo: Dumaguete and OneNETnews.
Online and in-person, friends and families of 'Blue Scuti' are in the fullest of support in Pasadena, despite his loss before entering the Grand Finals. Gibson ends in 5th Place for this year's offline E-sports competition of CTWC.

Nintendo Fun Club News, 1:2 [1987]
The second edition of the Nintendo Fun Club, run by Howard Phillips and Gail Tilden, was released in the summer of 1987. The magazine was a free-to-join subscription to explain tips and tricks in games, as well as sneak peeks at upcoming games, and reader columns to talk about high scores. It came with coupons at times for discounts and free merchandise/games. There were only seven issues before it was obliterated to create the (paid for) Nintendo Power Magazine. Images have been used only for demonstration, and are sourced directly from the magazine unless otherwise stated (in which a full link/reference will be provided). The second issue was eleven pages long -
Page 1
The front page is dedicated to an article on the Legend of Zelda [1987], briefly covering the lore, gameplay, and the cartridge's memory system. The side passage, a message from Howard Phillips, advertises what's included in the magazine, and encourages readers to write into the magazine. Depicted in pink doodles are Oktoroks and Tektites on the edges of the main feature.
Tumblr media
Page 2
The second page describes three video games, the first being Volleyball's NES port [1987] - highlighting the speed of the game, describing how the competition and training/tutorial's set up, and noting the game's presence in the Pro's Corner later on. There are pink volleyballs, and a pixelated drawing of a player character on the left.
The second game on the page is Slalom [1986], a game based on a skiing style of the same name. It advertises the game as emphasising speed, as well as being a competitive game to try and beat your friend's high score. The lower portion of the page depicts the player character, about to begin skiing towards a mountain.
The third and final game on the page is Pro-Wrestling's NES port [1987], describing special moves of each individual enemy in the game- claiming such knowledge to be vital to beating the game. It also describes the final boss, the Great Puma, and how difficult the final fight is. The article is dotted with black-and-white profile images of various fighters from the game.
Page 3
The third page is entirely dedicated to the "Pro's Corner," tips and tricks on beating various games. Much of the page talks about Super Mario Bros., with the tips described including;
Continue playing by holding A > Start after a game over
Pressing B to double flagpole points and fireworks when the timer ends in 1, 3, or 6.
Slipping through dungeon walls by crouch jumping at a specific angle.
Defeating Bowser in a specific way to allow one to have the Fire Flower while remaining in Mario's smaller form.
Passing through attacking clouds by moving left on impact.
How to defeat a Lakitu
Defeating Bowser when the clock strikes 0 to get 50k points
Creating a coin loop in World 1-2 for infinite coins
Defeating "Turtles" (which I believe are Koopa?)
How to access Minus worlds by breaking specific blocks.
There are also tips on Slalom;
Increasing speed by skiing in a line, staying on the snow.
Making turns should be short and fast
Tapping A > B quickly can get the player up faster after falling
Avoiding sledders by remaining on the far left/right
Freestyling can increase Bonus Points
Finally are features on Pro Wrestling;
Pinning an opponent too soon can lead to a counter attack
Out of ring attacks are not considered illegal moves.
Dropping an opponent at the right time gives one time to defeat them.
Page 4
Advertisement for the NES Advantage- a new joint stick for the NES to "match the feel of the arcade." Designed by Lance Barr, an employee at Nintendo, the controller is weighted to remain in place while placed on a table and used. It has "turbo and slow action features" to provide greater control over movement. There are two adjusters, one for each of the two buttons (A and B), as well as an S adjustor to slow the console. After emphasis on the movement developments it provides, the article discusses the controller's intent to suit the aesthetic of the NES.
Tumblr media
Page 5
The top half of the page is a feature on the Second Annual Recycled Robot Contest- building robots out of recycled rubbish, held in Washington on April 17th, 1987. The prize was a NES Deluxe Set, featuring R.O.B.- an accessory to the NES that could act as a second player in certain games. It describes the five-year-old winner's robot as such;
"This handsome fellow had styrofoam legs, milk carton feet, cookie tin hips, and a Raisin Bran box chest. Other appendages included tennis ball can arms, and light bulb hands. A well-read robot, the winning entry was covered from head to foot with colourful magazine articles. Also health-minded, he sported toothpaste tubes and a vitamin bottle." [Source: Nintendo Fun Club 2, Summer 1987, 5]
The lower half of the page is for Sneak Peeks, focusing on two games with a "Password Memory," where a code is given after a level in a form of saving. This records the top ten scores in the High Score Competition for Super Mario Bros., advertised in the first issue. The top five scores are all 9, 999, 950 points, with the lowest on the board being 9, 997, 600. The next issue's competition focuses on The Legend of Zelda, and requests readers to write in upon defeating Ganon- the first ten would be published in the next issue. The sidebar features Howard Philip's average work day, and what he'd been doing during the week.

This page is mostly advertising merchandise- scorepads for the High Score Competition for Super Mario Bros., Excitebike, and Hogan's Alley, as well as various Mario/Fun Club-branded T-Shirts, sweatshirts, and strategy guides- with an order form attached.

The top half of the page is for letters, with three featured and responded to. One asks about upcoming contests, another asking about other licensed games, and the final expressing enthusiasm for the magazine and asking about subscription details.
The lower half talks about setting up a local Fun Club- creating a group of friends, meeting in a local public space, and advising kids on how to reach out to others to make little fan clubs. I don't have much to say about this, but god it's cute. There's some messed up little Goomba drawings there too.

A couple of Neo Geo Pocket bangers

Big Bang Pro Wrestling (2000)
Oooooh, I like wrestling. I like the Neo Geo Pocket, it's a portable system that never fails to amaze me with how pretty its games look and how good they feel to play. This should be a good match.
I heard comparisons to Fire Pro Wrestling, one of the best wrestling video game series you could play. I hadn't played those games yet, but now that I have, I can confirm that those comparisons were right on the money. The game has simple controls, since the NGP had only 2 buttons, and the roster isn't as big as wrestling game players expect, but the character designs are very charismatic and embody gimmicks that a lot of people will recognize, while not just being "bootleg" versions of real wrestlers.
I have a couple issues though. If you're playing against the computer, you're gonna get your ass beat. Grappling (the thing you'd want to be doing most of the time) is timing-sensitive, and that timing is tough to get right. Not only that, but your opponent will be very ruthless, so unless you're very patient while trying to learn the ropes, you might as well pick a character who can win by using strikes and other maneuvers so you can avoid grappling as much.
Speaking of ruthless, at one point I tried the game's "pole match" (where you need to grab an item from a pole to win). According to the guides I could find, you need to mash to climb the pole, shake off your opponent, or throw them off the pole. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't beat my opponent at mashing, to the point that I resorted to using turbo inputs and I was still losing, which honestly is crossing some sort of line. Either that, or every guide I read was very wrong.
Overall, I really liked it, and it feels spectacular for its time, it's just that the single player experience is a little bit too tough. It's an easy recommendation for wrestling fans.

Mega Man Battle & Fighters (2000)
A port of both Mega Man arcade games, Power Battle and Power Fighters, with some collectibles I didn't really understand in order to add more replayability.
The arcade games are already delightful, playing like a Mega Man boss rush with wonderful visuals (and also being fairly short and accessible), so a very direct port of them is bound to make for a good package. The Neo Geo Pocket version looks like a complete demake, with the spritework looking very similar to the NES classics, but with impressive backgrounds and animation, while also being just as fun to play.
I only wish I played a translated version, because there's some dialog between characters that I had no chance of understanding. There seemed to be some references to the X series, which is nice to see.
It's good shit bro just go play it, you'll have a good time.
