Real Science II: The Cookening

Our players:

Meet the Experiment group, aka the Hot Lunch Bunch

And the Control group, who are also technically receiving a hot lunch but it's not quite as hot I guess.

I've taken initial measurements for all participants and logged baseline weight and length, and the majority of these kiddos have already started eating their meals!

An early pitfall: my hypothesis that cooked prey would be more readily accepted seems to have been correct. A few of the Control group haven't taken meals yet while all of the Experiment group are taking meals with gusto.

If the Control kiddos don't get with the program they're going to skew my data. >:(

Baby Taylor's baby voice is so endearing and it's going to be bittersweet to "lose" that on the TVs, but I'm really excited to hear how they clean up (or not) the production on Debut. I mean I know they're going to make it as accurate as possible to the originals, but I mean in the actual sound mixing and stuff. Because I feel like this album could benefit the most from some of that! Which is not to say that the original is bad BECAUSE IT'S NOT, but I think there is subtle stuff they can do with the mixing/blending/instrumentals/treble/etc. to make it shine even more.

#I don't want to say it sounds 'amateur' because it was obviously recorded by professionals #but there are some parts where i notice certain things in how her voice blends with the instrumentation #and I think they're really going to be able to make this part soar waaaaaaay more #like it almost sounds in some parts like she's singing over a karaoke track #instead of a full production if you get what i mean #it's just the difference of 20 years of evolution in sound production and design and in her own increased experience in producing #(sorry my dad does this stuff and like one road trip we spent the whole time listening to the latest mix of an album he was producing #and mixing for a friend and it's engrained in my brain how he was like dictating notes for me to write down so he could go back and fix #when we got home 😂)

#I think I have like 7 or 8 drafts about sugar daddy... god.....#but I have yet to rewatch it to properly get a handle on it the way I oughta before I post (if ever)#anyway my roommate is sound engineer for a 45yo guest designer rn and he's weirdly obsessed w her. making comments about #how it's disappointing when good directors get fired bc they harrassed someone ''but i keep my professional and private lives separate even #tho it's lonely'' he's fucking weird. this is now a tangent not about sugar daddy anymore but my point is. it's always relevant always #also dw my roommate will be fine she's working very closely w head electric our friend who is good about catching on abt that kinda stuff #also he knows taekwondo which is a plus. and I'm on stage but if I ever hear anything concerning I will climb into the booth and #maul that grown man like a bear on steroids. Researching SFX makeup stuff for a costume has me just wishing I could shapeshift fr. I shouldn’t have to purchase foam latex ear points and Pros-Aide and Pros-Aide Cream and Pros-Aide Remover and skin safe flesh tone paints and screw around with it for a few hours every time I want to be Character™️. My face & ears should be able to just Do That, I think.

#i think I am fr gonna shave my actual head just to not have to fuck around with a bald cap #spending at least 3 hours meticulously applying a bald cap just for it to probably be messed up as I am not a professional #sounds like a horrible waste of time #i’m not worried about the skin painting I’ve done sfx painted makeup & it goes fine #but the sfx prosthetic appliances…they scare me #if god loved me he’d give me shapeshifting powers just this once #cosplay #larp #the head shaving is necessary bc I am COMMITTED to this character design #also all the decent looking pointed ears are either sold out rn or are professional grade for $100+ a set rip

how am i supposed to do grad school if i cant even finish a 1000 word essay about myself
