The Reply of the Tongue is from the LORD
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, are from the LORD.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3 Commit thy works to the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
7 When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
8 Better is a little with righteousness, than great revenues without right.
9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.
11 A just weight and balance are the LORD'S: all the weights of the bag are his work.
12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.
13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right.
14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
15 In the light of a king's countenance is life; and his favor is as a cloud of the latter rain.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold? and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
22 Understanding is a well-spring of life to him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
24 Pleasant words are as a honey-comb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
25 There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.
26 He that laboreth laboreth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him.
27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
29 A violent man enticeth his neighbor, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it is found in the way of righteousness.
32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit, than he that taketh a city.
33 The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposing of it is from the LORD. — Proverbs 16 | Webster Bible Translation (WBT) The Holy Bible; Webster’s Bible Translation by Noah Webster, a revision of the King James Bible, Published in 1833 is in the public domain. Plot a Course
By the breadth of hands, divine,
Comes carvings etched into design,
For mine are rattlings of bones.
Tossed against the mountain's stones,
.
A planner's feet step knowingly,
As earth becrumbles into sea,
Where tombstones bless the lapping shore,
Breathe your last, forevermore.
.
Winter, spring, summer, fall,
Suns rise and set as etched in law,
The time of gods will soon arrive,
As the calculus of life's derive.
.
Eyes of a king, balanced and fair,
Snow white wisdom upon his hair,
Unyielding scales at justice, born,
To kill the king on wisdom morn.
.
Pursing lips to fatten the purse,
Deceit to the folly, coarser to curse,
Where luxury lays in the lascivious lap,
Patience is power to falter their trap.
.
Fountain of life, insightful, lowly,
Harbinger song of all that is holy,
For gluttenous eyes, the blind see so clearly,
Where gods stand in temples, man shall pay dearly.

Nine Biblical Reasons Why President Biden is a Poor Candidate for President
I don’t want to write this post. Just like I didn’t want to write last Friday’s post on why President Trump is a Poor Candidate for President. (By the way, that post drew considerable pushback from a few of my brothers and sisters in Christ. One thought I was unfair to Trump and viewed him as a kind of political savior of the country for this moment in time. Two were more measured saying neither…

These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Proverbs 3:24-26 (AMP). [24] “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. [25] Do not be afraid of sudden fear Nor of the storm of the wicked when it comes [since you will be blameless]; [26] For the Lord will be your confidence, firm and strong, And will keep your foot from being caught [in a trap].”
Psalms 16:8 (NLT). [8] “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”
“Training to See God” by In Touch Ministries:
“Ask God to help you see the evidence of His love and power in your life.”
“David was confident that the Lord was always with him (Psalm 16:8). His psalms reveal he was well aware of God’s intimate involvement in his life. Like David, we should train our spiritual eyes to notice evidence of the heavenly Father’s presence.
Seeing with spiritual eyes isn’t a now-and-then kind of thing—it’s a lifestyle. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Those who walk with the Lord can take captive unholy thoughts, habits, attitudes, and words. They can cast out sin and live in righteousness. As a result, such believers have a spiritual clarity that sharpens their awareness of God’s presence and role in their life.
When you lie down and talk to the Lord before going to sleep, try to recall the events of your day. What you’re really doing is looking for evidence of God’s hand at work. How did He guide a decision? Answer a question? Protect you in a situation? Help you in a relationship? Appreciating the Lord’s handiwork will etch the reality of His love deeper in your heart.
For us as believers, evidence of God’s great power is everywhere in our life, if only we will see it. Viewing the world with wide-open spiritual eyes changes our perspective. We can live confident in our loving, omnipotent God, who dwells within us.”
