My Redeemer's Hands
We read several devotions daily, plus we read a chapter from the Bible. A few days ago we read Psalm 31. As we read, my spirit was quickened by David’s plight as He was praying in distress, but fully trusting in God. He prayed Psalm 31:5 — “Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, LORD, my faithful God.” Those words sounded familiar. That’s because we heard them on Good Friday by our…

1. “The Lord is king. He is clothed with majesty and strength. The earth is set firmly in place and cannot be moved. Your throne, O Lord, has been firm from the beginning, and you existed before time began. The ocean depths raise their voice, O Lord; they raise their voice and roar. The Lord rules supreme in heaven, greater than the roar of the ocean, more powerful than the waves of the sea. Your laws are eternal, Lord, and your Temple is holy indeed, forever and ever.” —Psalm 93:1‭-‬5 (GNT)
2. “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” —Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT)
3. “I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you].” —John 15:9 (AMP)
4. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” —John 3:16 (NLT)
Friend, God loves you!
You are an “Everyone” in John 3:16. If you had been the only human being on Earth, God would still have sent His only Son to save you and offer you eternal life.
Every day God will draw you to Him with unfailing love (Jer 31:3).
Jesus loves you just as the Father loves Him (and that is a huge amount of love). Jesus said so in The Word of God (Jn 15:9). And Jesus IS the Word (Jn 1:1), so when He speaks, He speaks God's truth:
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” —John 1:1 (NLT)
Friend, God loves you. Mightier than the waves of the sea is God's love for you!
Blessings to you. May you feel God's love for you, a love that is mightier than the waves of the sea. May you remain in Jesus' love, today and always. In Jesus' name, Amen! 🙏🕊️🙌

Christ is King. Adam was also king, but he failed to exercise dominion over the serpent. Jesus has conquered the serpent, and all authority on Heaven and on Earth has been given to Him. He is enthroned at the right hand of the Father and will reign until His last enemy, death, is subdued.
Hosanna!

The Believer's Daily Remembrancer
Tumblr media
by Rev. James Smith
Devotional for July 15th
"What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee." - Psalms 56:3
IT is no unusual thing for the Lord’s people to be cast down, and filled with tormenting fears. They fear their faith is presumption, their hope delusion, and that they shall one day disgrace that holy name by which they are called. They fear to rely on a naked promise, and want comfortable feeling to underprop their faith. But they should take up the Psalmist’s resolution, " What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee." Jehovah in Jesus is the only proper object of trust, and He should be trusted at all times. Beloved, it is well when we can say, "I will depend upon the faithful promise of my gracious God; I will rely on the free grace of my adorable Saviour; I will hope in covenant mercy for evermore; I will fly to my Father’s bosom and venture all in my Saviour’s hands." Let us trust in God, in opposition to frames and feelings. Let us trust in covenant love, though providence appears to frown. Our God has said, "Trust ye in the Lord forever." Here is our warrant, let us seek grace to say with Job, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in him."
Oh, let me then at length be taught What I am still so slow to learn, That God is love, and changes not, Nor knows the shadow of a turn: To cast on Him my anxious cares, And triumph o’er my doubts and fears.

Unbelievable! The Woman Who Believed in a Preposterous Message
Almost every Christmas pageant contains the Angel’s appearance to Mary. Luke’s narrative about Mary’s conversation with Gabriel described her reaction to some pretty unbelievable news. If you think about it, there is much to learn from Mary’s response to God’s messenger. (And BTW, the Greek word for angel is anggelos, or messenger—simply put, a courier who brings a message, or a word from someone…

To deny Jesus is to deny God.
Gospel Box Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible is the Word of God. All people are sinners - unable to help themselves. The only way one can be saved is through faith in Christ. Christ died as man's substitute on the cross, and rose again from the dead. The Holy Spirit indwells true believers. One day in the future Jesus will come again.

Hold on to the Truth.
Whereever we look, we have hope. 'No matter in which direction a Christian looks, he finds a reason to obey God. If he looks back, he sees Calvary, where Christ died for him. If he looks within, he sees the Holy Spirit who lives within and teaches him the truth. If he looks around, he sees his Christian brethren whom he lovesl he also sees a world lost in sin, desperately needing his godly witness. And if he looks ahead, he sees the return of Christ!' - Warren Weisbe.

18 Verses, 1 Request
Read Psalm 88 Sometimes called the “saddest psalm in the psalter” Psalm 88 is a psalm of deepest despair. But it is despair out of which there is a beam of hope shining brightly in the midst of its gloom. The English Standard editors supply the following heading:  I Cry Out Day and Night Before You The NASB95 editors supply the following title to it: A Petition to be Saved from Death Each group…

“Hidden but Not Hidden” By Bible Love Notes:
“Psalm 119:11 says: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
In this verse, hidden doesn't mean concealing God's Word. It means storing it up and treasuring it in our hearts.
If you read all 176 verses of Psalm 119, you'll discover many ways that the psalmist hid God's Word in his heart. For example:
Psalm 119:9-16: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.”
In these verses, the psalmist hides God's Word by:
1. Obeying it – verse 9. “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” —James 1:22‭-‬25 (NLT)
2. Seeking God in it – verse 10. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
3. Studying it with the Spirit's help – verse 12. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” —John 14:26 (NKJV)
4. Reciting it – verse 13. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” —Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
5. Enjoying it – verse 14. “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.” —Psalm 19:8 (NLT)
6. Meditating on it – verse 15. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” —Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
7. Spending time regularly in it – verse 16. “—”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Are you “hiding” God's Word in your heart?”

Revelation: Blazing Eyes and Brilliant Feet
Before we leave this first chapter, there are two more aspects of John's vision that deserve contemplation--Jesus's eyes and feet. #EyesasFlamingFire #FeetasBurnishedBronze #Gehenna #RifinersFire
John now had both the vision of Christ and the words of Christ to record. Here is Chapter One complete. Salutations from John and Jesus (Chapter 1)From John (1:1-10)From Jesus (1:11-20) Yet there are two aspects to this first vision which still require thought: Jesus’s eyes as flaming fire.Jesus’s feet were like brilliant bronze, as in having been fired in a furnace.
