New to the update (Version 1.8) are the following:

The entirety of Chapter Eight;

Bidding farewell to those in Ishari;

Setting sail to the Southern Islands;

Chatting to your companions about Salyra, the voyage ahead and some romance;

Arriving in the Southern Islands;

Reuniting with Dena and a bitter foe from your past - Emos;

Alliance talks with Dena;

Choose to accompany Dena and Elora to secure an alliance; OR

Remain behind because politics aren't your thing and spend it with a companion of your choice;

Learn more about Dena's reasons for joining an alliance;

Deal with the weight of Dena's secrets;

Celebrate or worry about the success of the alliance;

Dance with one of four companions;

Smooch, hug or chat with one of your four companions;

Choose to stay the night with Prince Irus or Queen Elora; and

Optional explicit NSFW, fade-to-black or fluff scenes with Prince Irus or Queen Elora.

There are a lot of scenes that I didn't include in the chapter due to time constraints. Please note that while there are 'missing scenes', all choices are complete and won't lead you to a blank page. The major scenes of Chapter Eight are currently included in the demo. Chapter Eight Word Count: approximately 139 663 words. Total Word Count: approximately 585 173 words.

Chapter Eight is the last chapter of the public demo. Future chapters, including the epilogue, will be shared only with my Patrons until the game is released. The game will be a paid game, however, a price has yet to be set and I will announce that closer to the game's completion. While this is the final chapter of the public demo, I will still be very active on Tumblr so feel free to ask any questions and look out for previews and updates.

(re: reblog tags on the nimona post) so. i went back and found the boy. the lad. my editing white whale. the trajectory went like this: friends and i had been talking in a groupchat about idris elba being cast as knuckles circa 2021 and the subsequent quick resurgence of people outright admitting they’d sick nasty bang a fictional echidna if they could, so i made this edit in response to that line of conversation:

admittedly. this was my first mistake. i then expanded on it (second mistake) by editing knuckles into a pre-existing animal crossing meme (it had been a callback to a previous conversation in the chat)

(i think i acc submitted the compressed version to this blog once ive put it below for continuity reasons but cannae remember for sure ANYWAY)

so then a friend in this chat says ‘eurgh hate how this looks like that one rayman 3 advert’ and i go ‘…bwah?’ find the ad, laugh my ass off, rush to my editing software and produce THIS monstrosity in a blackout fugue state. it’s the most unsustainable edit ive ever made so glad for it to see the light of day even once more as it likely never will again. i gave him the froggy footstool bc he was too manlet to reach the urinal comfortably and i thought it was better than making him huge or stretched out so! w/o further ado i present: ✨knuckles_pissing_shortly.jpeg✨

Spend some time on your own to reflect on life, pray or write to your Vinia family,

Learn more about the divine blessings from Anu,

Unlock your divinity, get hurt trying or refuse it altogether,

Recover in Salyra's private chambers and possibly learn the reason for your birth,

Spend some time with a companion of your choice or choose to rest alone with the aid of a healer,

Smooch one of the four ROs, and

Learn about the plans to visit the Southern Islands.

Other things to note:

Relationship stats have been changed from numerical/bar stats to text stats.

The chapter still needs a bit more fleshing out for certain scenes.

Please note that chapter 8 will likely be the last update for the public demo.
