i feel like ive stepped into some bizarro fucking world where everyone thinks transmascs are all immediately accepted into mens spaces so heres my experience

this is what i looked like ages 12 to 18, i an an intersex transmasc. i was not on hormones but i was already presenting "masculine" traits in puberty. my mom has pcos, and this was just a normal experience for me. i was a semi-stealth transmasc growing up, mostly stealth unless i opened up about it or my parents outed me, which was frequently. for the most part though, i was accepted as some kind of boy. sounds easy, right?
except for the fact that if you interacted with me for two fucking seconds you'd realize immediately that i was either transgender or disabled, which would "out" me as either overly vulnerable, or a woman you could abuse. i have been physically hit for being in the boys bathroom, there were teo kids who would give me "daily hugs" and would feel around my binder to find my breasts and the teachers said they were just being friendly (highschool, btw!!! we were 16-17!!!) ive been given rape and death threats from young boys and men my entire life, my buffalo wild wings trainer for WEEKS qas talking about how nice my rack is and how he NEEDS TO FUCK ME to find out if hes gay, he would make jokes about me being on all fours for him, that i should open my mouth for him and that hr wishes he could "eat me like a fruit roll up." my step brother was constantly egged on by his online friends to fuck me to "correct" me. when my parents found out i was sending topless pics to my boyfriend they told me i wasnt a "real guy" because a real guy would be utterly disgusted to be in a body like this. THIS IS ALL WHILE I WAS STEALTH AND PASSING and isnt even touching on the actual illegal shit that happened to me, or anything thar happened when i wasn't passing. i had a cop pull me and my 14 year old sister over for no reason and they tried patting her down over and over and i refused to let them so when theyeventually pat me down they, once again, started fondling my fucking breasts!
i KNOW people want to believe its so fucking easy to stealth as a man but they arent considering any of the social implications around other traits, no matter HOW masculine i will be im still a deviant, disabled, short person who looks feminine enough for men to fuvk, but too masculine for anyone to defend. i have reported ALL of these situations and no one did ANYTHING, not because im a guy, but because this society HATES TRANS PEOPLE. i dont know what fucking reality everyones living in where cis men accept trans men with open arms, but in my world those open arms are just ready for fucking groping.

Making a Second Tank Control System
To make sure that my current controller idea (i.e. the two joysticks) would work, I quickly coded a new movement system in Unreal. The basis of it is that there are four possible inputs: left stick up, left stick down, right stick up, and right stick down; and when these are called together (i.e. both sticks up) it triggers forward movement. Otherwise they just rotate.

The first step was to change the usual WASD inputs in IMC_Default to QAED. This is to better simulate what using the sticks will be like - your left hand taps Q and A, meanwhile your right hand taps E and D.

I then made four separate Input Actions which mirrored the QAED control system I used before.

Those inputs essentially check if their counterparts are active, and check a Boolean variable for their corresponding movement. Both sticks back will result in backwards movement, for example.

This is the general movement code. If both sticks are forward, it moves forward; if both sticks are backward, if moves backward; and if neither are true, it rotates in the corresponding direction based on what button was pressed. Backwards movement was surprisingly difficult to do - I had to get the forward vector and make it negative by subtracting it by itself multiplied by 2. Vector - (Vector*2) basically.

This is the end result. I would say that this is an improvement to my old grip trainer idea, while still maintaining the realistic turning hinderances of a tank (i.e. can't turn and move at the same time). The QAED keymap system reflects fairly well how the controls would be split across each hand, and will suffice until the controller is built.

my workplace doesn't have that many people and the guy who usually does my QA is on vacation and a customer needed a stable version of our programs really soon so one of the sales guys did the testing and neither of us noticed a pretty big error before I installed it on the customer's system😭 it took me ages to find the error after having to apologise to the customer in a teams meeting and it's. one fucking line in an SQL select. pulling the pk instead of the fk it actually needs. so now I have to call their IT so I can go on their system and fix it without the moral support of having my trainer(s) in the room with me due to wfh Fridays

In case anyone was wondering about the job situation:
They have a system for you personally to document your coworkers errors for QA. They tell you it's anonymous, but your manager and QA can see who reported the error and also every account leaves a note with your name in it when you look at it, so your coworker that you just errored, knows you're the one that got them a talking to. Also, our trainers just upfront said they use it to be petty over extremely little shit that they admitted weren't actual problems. They encouraged us to do the same. "It's a learning tool" then why are you using it for revenge? Hm?
There is a specific way we are supposed to phrase everything in the Slack chat and if we don't we can get in trouble. There are no templates or written guidelines for this. You're just supposed to idk ask your supervisor about your phrasing before posting questions. Which are time sensitive. Cuz you're on the phone. They want us to put this app on our personal phones despite the fact that QA said outright they have access to all of your shit the app has access to. DMs, download files, all that good shit.
That's also the place we go to publicly beg to take lunch. It's a fast moving chat tho, so the single manager present (who's fuckin around on their phone) might not even see.
They also listen in and watch your screen while you take calls. This includes having access to things said while the customer is on hold. It is up to QA whether they mark you down for calling someone a dumbass while they're on hold and can't hear it. People have been fired over this. I've worked in a call center before, this is not common. It usually just mutes your mic when the customer is on hold, cuz normal QA teams don't wanna listen to you mutter and beatbox while you look for stuff.
This is a call center. This is a call center for extremely low stakes calls. Why is there all of this "I saw Goodie Proctor leaving bad notes" shit? Why are you encouraging me to narc on my coworkers for small stuff that only got messed up cuz they're humans with lives? Fucking..... Cop behavior.
And don't even get me started on the fucking phone call rules. There's no script but there's very specific shit you have to say on specific types of calls. There's an AI the QA team uses to measure your tone also.
Calabrio doesn't think you sound happy enough? That's an error. Dead air? That's an error. A prolonged hold while you hop between the six different, necessary but half functioning, programs you need to look at to learn anything about what the customer's after? Oh baby thats an error. Did the call drop and you didn't publicly announce it in the Slack chat? Take a wild guess.
I am making less than a Wendy's employee in my state, and they're allowed to take smoke breaks. If I'm away from my phone for too long they start going through my shit to make sure I'm not goofing around.
Anyway, I'll be opening commissions soon cuz this is not tenable. Like I said, I've worked in a call center before this one. I've worked from home for almost four years now. I've never encountered this shit in my life. There was less surveillance in fucking retail, and those freaks get mad if you're not constantly making up tasks to do.

Cunts who don't do chats. Cunts who don't do email. So like, maybe if you had left good records, I'd actually like it. But no. I know you. I've seen you go MIA as soon as your boss leaves.
The audacity of these fucking implementations like, why are fixing shit that isn't broken!? Why are we generalizing the process when it's their goddamn team fucking it up.
Maybe. Just fucking maybe. If your bitchass trainer actually starts filtering and training properly, us who do our jobs right won't have to deal with these unnecessary protocols because oh my god I wish you get fucked so hard by an old corroded bark of tree that is the equivalent of 20 girthy fucking dicks <:

almost 2 months palang nmn ako sa work ko now and i've been hearing a lot of positive feedback from my trainers, QA, even my managers. i'm just happy na hindi ako patanga tanga sa work ksi yun ung reason why hindi ako kagad nagwork feeling ko di ko pa kaya maging adult baka matangahan lang sila sakin. so i'm proud of myself na kaya ko na sarili ko!! malapit n ko maging strong independent woman!!
