Imagine Rhysand forcing Nyx to go to training but he manages to negotiate his way into training with the Valkyries. He hates it, but at least his aunties are with him, so it's less horrible.

But then, at some point, Cassian and Azriel have to step out, it's only Gwyn, Nesta and Emeries there, so they go out to do whatever. And Nyx is left with the orders from Cassian to just finish up his exercises and he can go home.

But Nesta also left her little music egg thing behind and Nyx is like

Anyway, Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie come back, and as they're chatting and laughing, Gwyn just suddenly slaps a hand over Emerie and Nesta's mouth as she's staring jaw-slack at the training ring. And they all look down just to see Nyx absolutely busting his ass dancing and singing, and just having the absolute time of his life.

Long story short, most afternoons became dancing lessons with Auntie Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie instead of training with Cassian and Azriel to Rhysand's growing disappointment.

I'd like to pose some theories and observations about The Night of Black Knives

There's something extremely specific about the black knives and it's that they cannot be seen while wearing their cloaks unless illuminated by the Sentry's Torch, an item that was not held in the lands between until after Godwyn's death, and yet, here it is. Not just an average wooden torch, a custom torch, in the hand of a black knife, specifically illuminating her face. She is showing her face to Godwyn so he knows who killed him. She wants him to see her, a woman with long blonde hair.

It was no mistake it was Godwyn and he was not just the best choice. It was personal.

What else do we know of the black knives? They had close ties to Marika herself and were all Numen just like her.

We now know Godwyn was not her first son and his death was merely a means to an end. Would she be able to sacrifice a child forced upon her by the golden order? A child who in the eyes of the order was perfect? I think so. If it gave her a good enough excuse to shatter the Elden Ring which she was still punished for.

Maliketh's great rune says Marika only needed him to seal away destined death, yet she betrayed him. Who else would have been able to get close to him?

Ranni and Marika wanted the same thing. It was all set up. There is a reason Ranni cradles Marikas head in the age of stars ending before putting it back on Marikas body.

Marikas body also vanishes in Rannis. It isn't being taken over by the Elden ring again. Ranni sets her free. she didn't have to put the head back on.

Quick thought on the lords in black, are they a commentary on the internet, beings created in a space of black (the screens of our phone) and white (the light that reflects back)? They represent the worst thats come from it- how quickly we are enflamed to rage (wiggly), consuming the fake pageantry (nibbly), watching us destroy ourselves and each other (blinky), keeping record of all the mistakes we’ve made in the past with no redemption (tinky), and getting locked into a singular opinion, or voice (pokey).

Then with Webby, she is the best to come of the internet, which is that it connects us all. She can’t save the citizens of hatchetfield because ultimately the existence of the lords and how they interact in hatchetfield is up to the them. The lords exist because they summon them and until they can find a way to take away their power, they’re doomed to keep repeating their mistakes.

Sidenote: i kind of hope the hatchetfield saga ends in an Into the Woods style musical, where they’ve pulled characters from all these different timelines. So we get the original Paul (who was pulled after pokeys reign and has his mind mostly back except he sings all the time now), stoner emma (or linda for that matter), pete spankovski (eventually freeing ted from his box), lex (and grace chasity as a villain), becky or ms. Holloway, green peace girl (and melissa for a joke), and general mcnamara (who’s the only one who knows whats going on). Et al really

Hi, question regarding the life expectancy and aging system for each fantasy race/species in your world building setting? How long do they live each, including their maximum lifespan and when are they considered adults, middle aged, elders etc.? Also, love your work

I don't want to put strict numbers on the different lifespans since I usually keep changing it so take all this with a grain of salt, but in general:

Demons: Adult - 14. Average lifespan - 60 - 70 Demons rapidly grow, stay at a stable age, then rapidly decline again.

Humans: Adult - 18. Average lifespan - 70 - 100

Dwarves: Adult - 32. Average lifespan - 140 - 200 Dwarves age very consistently. Few to no growth spurts of ages of intense change.

Fairies: Adult - 50. Average lifespan - 300 - 400

Elves: Adult - 100. Average lifespan - 700 - 1000

But essentially, Iseul's been in his early-mid twenties all Reiner's life while Solaire would have just become an adult when he was born. Saerys and the MC would appear about the same age as children, but he'd be an adult while she was still a teenager, etc.

People who just write off most of the Demi-Gods (and Marika/Radagon) as pure evil piss me off so much. All of them have so much depth and intrigue sewn into their characters and to just ignore it is a disservice to the story Elden Ring is trying to tell.

The fact that Ser Simon Strong is so patient with Daemon, even when Daemon is high in Owl Lady Juice, held him at knifepoint and pissed off most of the other River Lords. Still, Ser Simon stayed by his side. Never complained about his antics.
