as you both stood by her side, watching her twirl in her elegant gown, emotions overwhelmed you. tears welled up in your eyes, brimming with a mix of joy and a tinge of sadness. it felt like yesterday when you held her in your arms, and now she was stepping into young adulthood.

What’s overlooked when talking about Miguel and Gabriella is that Miguel didn’t have many extended family members. I’m Mexican and from experience, if you don’t know anyone, you won’t have a quinceañera. So no, Gabriella wouldn’t have had a quinceañera, Miguel alive or not.
