My appetite has been ping-ponging around a good deal today. I haven’t been able to sleep or eat, so instead I get to enter my thoughts into you, dear friend. Since yesterday, I’ve felt this…hollowness within me. I don’t think anything matters anymore and I’m ready to burn this whole goddamn asylum down if anything bothers me further. But alas, I won’t. I don’t mean it, it’s just…I think Lucy might hate me, diary. But, that’s enough of that, instead, let us focus on the patient. 

I questioned him more fully than I have with any other patient. I have made myself into the master of the facts of his delusions. In my manner of doing it, there was I now see something cruel about it. I wanted to keep him at this level of madness-a thing which i avoid with patients like the mouth of hell.

(memo: Under what circumstance would I not avoid the pit of hell? I mean, my god.)

R.M Renfield, age 59, extreme extrovert, solid 9 Strength. Morbidly excitable; periods of gloom, ending in some fixed idea that I cannot make out. He’s shown himself to be potentially dangerous, dangerous if unselfish. In selfish men, caution is as secure an armor for their foes as it is for themselves. Renfield is not such a man.

Tbh, the facht that I have yet to see an adaptation that explicitly calls Renfield a Herald, when he’s literally heralding the coming of Dracula is ridiculous!

Plus there is I fucking Herald Moth!

i saw a review of Dracula 1931 that said 'its no suprise Renfield ends up a slave of Dracula cause Dwight Frye already looks too weird and freaky and isn't classically handsome enough to be the heroic main lead' and I was actually sooo offended. Ready to throw hands with the reviewer. What the hell's wrong with you, you see this cutie and think he's not classically handsome? I will fight you in the streets!

I have to admit that Renfield immediatly getting spiders to get rid of the flies, then attracting more flies to feed the spiders despite Seward telling him otherwise is the funniest power move ever.

Ok so, as a lifelong Dramina hater the game is kinda clowning on me so hard, by making Mina Renfieds deadname. Because OBVIOUSLY I’m gonna go for Dracula first. Making me technically a Dramina shipper… hm…

Also while I’m here I‘m to sapphic for Teodora not to be a romance option! She is literally so cute. And having to critic her baking was objectively the hardest choice in the entire demo!
