Hatsune Mirto Introduction Ver.0.5
Let's see, it's my first time doing something like this and my first time on Tumblr so I'll do my best. I'll probably scrap this introduction in the future for a more updated version when I'll get the feeling on how to do it!
With that said, hello, my name is Morgan and apparently this is my blog, Hatsune Mirto. The name is a pun of Hatsune Miku and the "Mirto", a plant used to make liquor where I live. I found this name to be pretty funny and representative of my silly personality.
I'm a 23 year old non-binary person, don't be hars with me as i don't really know how to use Tumblr as a whole.
I'll now proceed to list my interests, dividing them in various categories, I'll try to make this post as "easy" to read as possible even if it's totally not something I'm good at.
VIDEOGAMES: I have a kinda unhealthy obsession with gacha games (not a spender but I play too much of them). The ones I'm currently playing are: - Genshin Impact - Honkai Star Rail - Zenless Zone Zero - Punishing Gray Raven - Fire Emblem Heroes - I'm waiting for the Uma Musume global cause I love the anime so much! I also play League of Legends on my PC and I own a Nintendo Switch although I don't really use it much at the moment. My pc isn't very good so don't expect me to post something PC gaming related anytime soon. But here are some of my favourite non mobile games and series: - Like a Dragon - Crash Bandicoot - Rayman - Lethal Company - Fire Emblem - The Legend of Zelda - Final Fantasy - Metal Gear Solid
MUSIC: I mostly listen to italian music, so this section doesn't really have much to say for the "global audience" so let me list some artists I like: - Vocaloid (Various, mostly Miku) - System of a Down - Ado - Twenty One Pilots - Various videogames sountracks I'm not listing italian music cause I don't think it's really a topic of interest for most people
TV SERIES: I stopped watching TV series for a long time and started to come back to the media recently, here's some of my favourites: - Doctor Who - The Boys (currently watching) - Breaking Bad - Tear Along The Dotted Line - This World Can't Tear Me Down - Ultraman Blazar MOVIES: Here's some of my favourites: - Godzilla movies, they're my favourites - The Bicentennial Man - Interstellar - Kamikaze Girls - Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - My Neighbour Totoro - The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Grave of the Fireflies - Only Yesterday - Porco Rosso - Whisper of the Heart - The Cat Returns - My Neighbors the Yamada - Howl's Moving Castle - The Wind Rises - The Tale of the Princess Kaguya - Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves Yea I'm a Ghibli fangirl ANIME: - One Piece - Dragon Ball - Uma Musume - Fate Series - Inazuma Eleven - Dungeon Meshi - Frieren
I think that's enough for now, I don't know how frequently I will post here but I hope to learn how this works. Have a good day!

Fanfic promo yay yahoo I hate writing /j
And with promo comes full rendered drawings. I really should be doing my hhomework.
"Downpour"
Tumblr media
"Worthy"
Tumblr media
Basic plot summary and some cool info below:
"How's a Hero" is a fic I've been working on since..... idk 6 months, maybe
It's basically my (affectionate) 'I don't care' to conforming to popular fandom headcanons and going insane
(It's a horror fic. It's quite literally a horror Rayman fic where Rayman's a stubborn bitch to everyone)
Inspired to finally finish it after that one Tumblr post I saw that I can't find anymore. I think this fandom does deserve a proper 'horror' fic
Have I ever written a scary story before? No but it's not to late to throw stuff at the wall
Enough about me. What is this fic?
The basic plot finds Rayman struggling to grasp that the Glade isn't reliant on ONLY him. He has friends that'll help him and he's not taking it so well.
It goes into psychological stuff like guilt, denial, refusal for help, those things
I'm not very good at naming the tropes actually who said I should be a writer???
Anyways, if that's not your cup of tea, that's chill. You can go read "Real and Fake" for a more lighthearted story #subtleplug
This story is definitely out of my comfort zone with heavy themes, fight scenes, and more 'mature' things. So if it sounds like I've never wrote anything like this, you're correct I apologize
Every new chapter I'll finish (hopefully) with have a drawing to go with it. At least, if I have the time and motivation uhhh
Enough of me yapping to a wall. If you can't enjoy the story, enjoy the drawings !!!

Don't know how many questions is allowed to be asked, if i asked to many i apologies:
Any plans on drawing more of the priest moth? I liked the design of her and her mantis friend.
Don't know if i missed it, but do you plan on making an angel character who's a dom? Afterall being physically intimate or sexual isn't a sin (contrary to what some might think) as long as you don't force yourself on others (or commit adultery/cheating, but that's pretty obvious).
Not a question, but so far i think my top 6 favorite designs are the two spider moms, Marigold, Sera, Cherub and Priest Moth.
What's Cherub's relation to Sera and Power and the others?
Is there any franchises you're a fan of that you've created art for? Like Wakfu, Rayman or some other show or franchise or game?
Any plans on opening commissions at some point or would be that to much strain because of your schedule?
Does Sera or Power play video games in their free time? Power kinda strikes me as someone who'd love Minecraft for some reason.
In the universe with Sera & Co. do other supernatural creatures such as fairies, werewolves or eldritch horror/cthullu stuff exist?
Ever tried a role-swap AU with your characters?
Is there any of your characters who play D&D, Pathfinder or World of Darkness?
1. No, I’m going to be using them for my uh. Other account from now on.
2. No. Being physically intimate isn’t a sin but anything sexual before marriage is considered sinful, so I don’t really have any Angel who fits that role. Prince (a character I haven’t introduced yet) is the closest to verging into that “past the physical intimacy” zone.
3. Thanks!
4. Cheri has no personal lore with Sera and Powers. Powers is just attached to her because she’s 1) very motherly and 2) a cute animal
Her history with Junior has more depth to it, but it’s huge spoilers so I can’t say why yet.
5. I made a lot of fanart for Rise of the TMNT, BNHA, warrior cats and Steven Universe not sharing any of it because it’s old and cringe.
6. No because of what you said. Too much extra work, plus I kinda hate doing comms compared to my regular patreon work where I can mostly draw what I want. For some reason a lot of commissioners do not consider my art style when suggesting characters.
7. Neither play video games. Sera actually has nothing in her house because she doesn’t want to involve herself in any indulgences. Well except kissing and hugging.
8. Yeah, eldritch horror is debatable though.
9. No but I thought about it. Maybe for April fools.
10. I have no idea what DnD is like so no answer

Heart Shaped Wreckage
Rating: T Words: 1000 (Complete) Genre: Fluff Lore: Rayman 2
Characters: Rayman, Ly Summary: They're smooching. That's all there is :)
Sequel to: Broken Pieces | [tumblr] / [dA] / [ao3] INSPIRATION: this fanart from @another-her - I tried my best to channel the vibe.
AN: I thought it would be a good idea to challenge my personal comfort zone (and apologize for the last Laserhawk Chapter). (This gave me so much grief. I'm fine with writing the wildest horrors, but intimacy? ROMANCE?? in THIS economy??? 🥲) More like this: [Rayman Oneshots Masterpost]
"I got my world right here."
When Rayman nuzzles into her, it's like her world stops. Her arms tighten around him instinctively as she tries to internalize what he said. It's such a simple thing but it leaves her mind spinning, and before she knows what she's doing she's pressing a kiss to the back of his head.
It doesn't go unnoticed. She feels him twitch. When he tries to move, her arms wind around him tighter as if of their own accord.
…So he stills again and only turns his head to look at her.
She's crying.
"Ly."
It's like her mind isn't all there. She looks haunted.
"Ly," he tries again, one of his hands cupping her cheeks and brushing a stray tear away.
"Talk to me."
He feels her take a shaky breath, and sees her blink the tears from her eyes.
"It's…" her voice is thin as she resorts to clinging onto him tighter, "the thought," she says, "of never seeing you again."
Rayman sees her gaze stray again.
"Hey," he coos and uses his hand to turn her head.
"Look at me," he says, "I'm here. I'm alright."
Rayman sees her eyes glaze over again. No words come to her.
So she kisses him instead. On the lips this time.
Rayman's breath hitches and fearing she has made a mistake Ly pulls away. Her hold on his belly loosens as she fumbles for an apology, but before words come to her Rayman has found her lips again.
And Ly responds to it gladly.
Even when she lets Rayman take the lead he's shy and gentle. It's like he's afraid of Ly's vulnerability, she usually puts up such a strong front for him.
Breathing his air allows her to relax for the first time and when her hand splays in the middle of his sigil she can feel his heartbeat under her palm and the deep magic thrumming within his chest.
He's here. He's alive. He's real.
Her own heart sings and her lips draw into a smile.
It's real.
It's been years since the pirates first invaded their home. It's a privilege not having to worry about Razorbeard or a sudden ambush now…
She feels… she feels safe. Here. With Rayman.
It's one of her favorite hiding places, secluded, untouched by the robots even. The only other presence here are a flock of red lums dancing across the nearby stream.
She wants to say thank you, but repeating it over and over rings empty. She can only say it so often before it loses its meaning.
It's not right. It's not enough. She has no words for the burning in her chest, but she knows she wants to keep Rayman close because he alleviates the pain.
"Ly…"
Hearing his voice is a balm. Hearing him speak her name is…
is…
Rain after drought.
For lack of being able to give him a proper, all encompassing hug she pulls his core closer and wraps herself around him snugly. Her tail curls around him like a nest. His hands respond in kind, one of them resting at the small of her back, the other anchors itself on her shoulder.
"Ly…" he tries again to get her attention. She hums in return.
It's so much like meditating, but she's all here, her senses heightened, her body is tingling and yet…
"I love you."
Her head is ringing to even think it's meant for her.
Those are the words she's been looking for. She should repeat them back. But when she opens her mouth to say them she finds herself chasing another kiss instead.
Ly feels a little lightheaded as she tips his chin up with a featherlight nudge. She drinks Rayman in; pours her everything into the words she can't say.
There would be no harm in admitting it. Not now that the threat has passed. It's been an open secret all this time anyway.
One of her hands lets go of his back to find the one gripping her shoulder a little too tightly and interlocks with it.
When they break apart, Ly loses herself to a fit of giggling.
That… really just happened. It wasn’t a dream or an intrusive thought... By Polokus.
She wants to keep this moment. Treasure it.
The levity is contagious and soon enough Rayman is chuckling along.
"Look at us," Ly says as she brushes new tears from her eyes - but these feel easy with the relief of a lifetime.
Rayman's hand silently squeezes hers as he nuzzles back against her. His head is nestling itself in the warm crook of her neck.
"We can keep doing this," Rayman murmurs cheekily, "It's fun."
"Or we can stay like this for a while."
Ly tilts her head to press her forehead against his.
"I love you," she finally says back to him and the words come easy. A weight off her chest. In retrospect she wonders how this could have ever felt difficult?
"So, so much," she hums as she gives his nose another peck.
She sees his cheeks perk up in a wide smile before he melts against her. Ly hardly thinks they could be any closer as she drapes her tail over him like a fuzzy blanket. His sigil emits a faint glow that piques her curiosity, but before she can ponder the thought further, Rayman is drifting.
The soft brush of her fur seems to have put him to sleep almost instantly, the exhaustion of weeks upon weeks of fighting since his daring escape finally having caught up with him. She adjusts her own breathing to the rise and fall of his chest and soon finds that yes - a moment of rest is well deserved.
The shadow of grief is nothing but a distant memory as she feels Rayman's weight in her lap and the invisible burden of hidden feelings off of her chest.
Ly's fingers idly card through Rayman's hair with a tired smile as exhaustion threatens to claim her as well… and soon enough Ly closes her eyes to tranquil peace.

64 Bit File Compression
*Played and Written in December 2022
Super Kiwi 64 has a unique quality to it and thus provides a certain service to society. For years I have been itching to play Banjo Kazooie once more to confirm that it is still a good game. I’ve had my suspicions that it might not hold up. I fear that there may be too much to collect and that the movement abilities may not hold up to the standards of today. I feel this way about a lot of games, but mainly 3D platformers of that era. Will I be satisfied with the standard jump and hover of Rayman 2 if I go back to it? I suspect I won’t be. I haven’t played any of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy just because I want to hold out hope that they are good and not guilty of the awkward and evil design that I’ve heard whispers of. Ignorance is bliss, so I choose to ignore the past, unless it’s games like Mario 64 or Spyro, which I know for sure hold up today.
Super Kiwi 64 enables my cowardly mindset while also satisfying my desire to delve back into the 1990’s. It is an N64 3D platformer made in 2022. It looks the part, it vibes like one, is structured like one, and the main character is pretty much a gene spliced abomination of both Banjo and Kazooie. It’s surprisingly small. Like really small. But it still feels like I played a whole game. It’s almost as if I mistakenly placed an N64 cartridge into my VCR, hit fast forward, and my mind magically read through all information of the game. I got almost an entire experience of the very thing this game emulates in under an hour. There are still multiple level motifs and gimmicks. There are still secrets to be found in each area that require curiosity. And these levels aren’t really small either, you can just move around them way faster than you’d expect to be able to. This game has perfect control. With just the correct use of your basic attack, you can zip around the map and collect to your hearts content. There aren’t many enemies to stop you, but it’s not like combat is ever the thing people play these games for. There’s an essential joy attached to dashing, climbing, and gliding across the zone. I would say it only lacks in having a final boss to cap off your journey. Other than that, it’s the perfect compression of the experience I crave and will return to this whenever I’m in the mood play a Rare Platformer in the future.

garnet : what do they think about death?lapis lazuli : what is their favorite memory?jasper : what’s their worst fear? // For Both Raymans, Both Murfys, both Monas Floyd and Grute!
Mun's Note: I'm going to break this ask into different posts due to the sheer length of these responses. This is Part 1.
Garnet: What do they think about death?
Tumblr media
Rayman is aware that death is inevitable, even for those with such long lifespans as his. It is also a risk for himself and his loved ones that help him with his hero duties. He has a strict moral code that stops him from dealing a killing blow, but it can still happen. Reflux being one of the prime examples where he tried, but death still came for one of his foes.
----------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
for the Captain Laserhawk version of Rayman, He does not have the same moral code as his game/canon counterpart. He has blood on his hands, even if it was for a good cause. He knows his friends put themselves in danger constantly. He had no idea that Murfy and Raymona both had close brushes with death already. Nothing breaks him more than witnessing the deaths of children. That was one of the most traumatizing things he witnessed in Bullfrog's bubble.
As much as he would love to end the turmoil in Eden peacefully, he's aware that more blood may need to be shed to protect the innocent people and his friends and family.
----------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Murfy is aware that he has the shortest lifespan out of all the members of his family and friend group, even though he's lived for at least a century by this point. He just hopes that when his time comes, that the others will be able to take care of themselves. He also fears that Demona may become bitter at the world when he goes.
He choses to take each day as it comes. Spending as much time with his friends, family, and loved ones as he can. He's already missed out on a hundred years with them due to the big sleep they had.
----------------------------------------------------------
The Captain Laserhawk version of Murfy can't even leave his house to go grocery shopping without risking life and limb. This has lead to him rarely leaving the house unless he absolutely needs to. If his team is in trouble and he knows he can do something to stop it, it's when you will see Murfy go out into the danger zone to protect them. He's gotten shot before. He's almost been beaten to death by Hoyt Volker for trying to defend Raymona from him.
Each day is a risk of death for him, he chooses to laugh at the face of danger. Many wonder if this is just him being reckless, or it's just how the guy copes.
Murfy knows he is going to outlast his boyfriend. The love of his life. He has accepted that, and makes sure to spend as much time as possible with him because of it.
----------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Raymona is another that knows death is inevitable and is just part of life. She worries about Rayman and the others constantly due to how dangerous their adventures can get. She also knows that Mr. Dark and other enemies of the glade really like to pick on her due to how close she is with Rayman. She is a walking target and thus has to keep her guard up all the time. She knows there exists foes that would kill her just to torture Rayman.
----------------------------------------------------------
For the Captain Laserhawk universe, death is just an every day risk for her and the rest of her team. She grew up witnessing people getting murdered on the streets, and she had to start taking matters into her own hands to protect not only herself, but Rayman too. When Rayman was scooped up by the board of directors to become the voice, she had to fend for herself most of the time. She knew Rayman would always have her back, but he was always busy too so he'd not get there as fast as he would like. It's one of the reasons she would focus on a career in boxing. She's capable of protecting herself.
Now that she's a resistance member, the risk is much higher. She's normally the type that'll put on the brave face even in the face of danger. She's rarely the type to break. But if one of her team mates falls in battle, it may be the thing that will break her, especially if it's Rayman or Murfy.
----------------------------------------------------------
Floyd is a doctor, so he sees death pretty often in his line of work. He has been exposed to it from a young age starting with the death of both of his parents when he was little, being raised by his older sister.
Floyd is also aware that he has such a short lifespan compared to his boyfriend. He takes each day as a gift and a blessing. Making sure Murfy knows how much he loves him. Murfy is his cuddlebug and he doesn't care that his life is so short. He just wants Murfy to be happy. He's done so much for him and cherishes the greenbottle dearly.
----------------------------------------------------------
Grute is a knaaren. They are not easy to kill. He knows he's not easy to kill and it's a common sight for him to come aboard with an axe or sword in his back that Minnie will try to pull out of him. Each Knaaren has their own weaknesses. The only way you'd be able to kill Grute is by drowning him. Sailing on the sea does not scare him. He does not fear the water. He can't swim, but it's common to see him go waist deep in the water. The Doc has made him a special set of diving equipment so he can go beneath the water when it's called for.
Due to how difficult it is to kill him, he has a tendancy to be quite reckless. He always plays his cards carefully when he's got the rest of the crew to look after though. The last thing he ever wants is to be the one to put his crew in danger. The crew is his family.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – animated trailer, commented gameplay reveal
Gematsu Source
Tumblr media
Publisher Ubisoft and developer Ubisoft Montpellier have released a new animated trailer and commented gameplay video for the newly announced side-scrolling action game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Get the latest details below.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown begins with the capture of Prince Ghassan, after which the Queen dispatches the Immortals to find and return her son. The trail leads the group to Mount Qaf; once the heart of Persia and home to the god of time, Simurgh, it is now afflicted by a time curse. Past and future coexist, driving the mountain’s inhabitants mad and transforming them into monsters. As the youngest member of the Immortals, Sargon is brash and confident—traits that can be his biggest strength and his biggest weakness. It will be up to him to track down Prince Ghassan and discover the mysteries surrounding the curse of Mount Qaf.
A recent hands-on event at Ubisoft Montpellier gave us access to an early part of the game, where we explored Mount Qaf and got to play as a more powerful Sargon than one would normally have at this stage of the game, with increased health and extra weapons and abilities.
At the beginning of the game, Sargon will have limited health and abilities, leaving players to master the timing of his parry and slide mechanics to counter and avoid enemy attacks. As you progress, you’ll gain a host of new abilities—as well as modifiers known as amulets—to make Sargon more formidable in battle and open new paths of exploration. Amulets offer up buffs for Sargon, like turning his arrow shot into a three-arrow spread or giving him a second chance at life when dealt an otherwise fatal blow. Each amulet has a cost attached to it, however, and Sargon can only equip so many amulets at once (this allowance can be upgraded by visiting shopkeepers), so you’ll need to choose the right amulets for your playstyle or situation. Amulets and abilities can only be swapped out at Wak Wak trees: golden trees that also replenish your health, health potions, and arrows. They’re also where you’ll save your game and respawn after you die.
Larger Than Life Battles
Sargon’s weapons include his twin blades, Qays and Layla; his bow; and his Chakram, a charged projectile shot that can bounce off walls and return to Sargon. Combine these with his jump, slide, wall jump, parry, air attacks, directional attacks, and more, and Sargon quickly starts to feel like a master swordsman, with seemingly endless combos available to dispatch your cursed enemies. Enemies in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have three different types of attacks: basic attacks which can be parried to briefly stun them; attacks where their eyes glow yellow, which can be parried to land a massive, cinematic counter-attack; and attacks where their eyes glow red, which cannot be parried, only dodged.
Sargon can also trigger powerful Athra Abilities, which unleash devastating anime-inspired special attacks and other effects. These are tied to his Athra gauge, which increases when he lands successful attacks, and depletes when he is hit. The Athra gauge can be filled to two levels, with each level allowing you to utilize a different ability. There are many different Athra Abilities, including the Super Massive Wave, a level-one ability that deals huge damage to enemies; or Bahman’s Breath, a level-two ability that creates an explosion and a zone of effect that gradually heals Sargon. You can assign active Athra Abilities at Wak Wak trees.
Coming from Rayman creators Ubisoft Montpellier, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown offers up some challenging platforming, pushing players to weave extremely precise, acrobatic paths through traps and other hazards—but make no mistake, its boss encounters can prove just as difficult. Early on, when traversing the Lower City, we encountered Jahandar, a massive manticore with the body of a lion, horns of a ram, wings of a dragon, and tail of a scorpion. Each of Jahandar’s attacks utilize a different part of his body, from his venomous tail sting to his horns-down charge attack, the latter of which could be parried to deal a large chunk of damage. After struggling against Jahandar’s venomous tail attack, I returned to a Wak Wak tree to equip an amulet that lessened toxin damage—and once I could confidently parry its attacks, I also added an amulet that restored a small amount of health on a successful parry. Those amulets, combined with my Athra Abilities and good, old-fashioned trial and error, helped me defeat Jahandar.
Opening Up New Paths
Mount Qaf is filled with varied locations and multiple diverse biomes, like the Lower City and Autumnal Forest. The former is based around the urban and religious architecture of the Achaemenid and Sasanian empires, while the latter is inspired by Iran’s Hyrcanian Forests. The Lower City was populated by undead soldiers and Prince of Persia‘s classic spinning spike traps, while the Autumnal Forest felt alive with masked headdress-wearing guardians and floral platforms that bloomed and faded as you leapt on them.
Enemies aren’t the only residents of Mount Qaf. Throughout his journey, Sargon will come across a variety of NPCs who offer up sidequests, uncover parts of his map, reveal secrets, upgrade his equipment, or sell him various amulets and other goods. One such NPC is Kaheva, the blacksmith of the gods. In exchange for Time Crystals (a currency that all enemies drop when defeated), Kaheva will sell Sargon amulets, or upgrade his swords, bow, and quiver. Other, less godly, shopkeepers offer up more potent health potions or upgrades to the number of potions you can carry. In a world as hostile as Mount Qaf, friendly NPCs can be some of your strongest allies.
Your map will be a crucial tool as you explore Mount Qaf, helping you uncover new paths to traverse, challenges to overcome, and treasures to earn. Even with a map, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown‘s world is labyrinthine. To help players mark important locations, the development team added The Eye of the Wanderer, an ability that you can use to place a screenshot of a location on your map—so rather than having a random marker on your map that you may forget, you’ll know exactly what NPC, puzzle, quest, enemy, or whatever else you chose to highlight is waiting for you at your marked location. Like other Metroidvanias, new paths will open up as you progress and unlock new abilities, so marking a location you can’t access quite yet will come in handy when you need to revisit it.
Stay Light On Your Feet
Sargon will earn his own set of unique space- and time-manipulation powers that can aid him in combat, exploration, and puzzle solving, including the Rush of Simurgh and the Shadow of Simurgh. Rush of Simurgh is an air dash that is helpful for platforming challenges or escaping enemy attacks. Shadow of Simurgh lets him place a shadow of himself in an exact location with the press of a button. Pressing it again will immediately transport Sargon back to his previously marked location with the same momentum he had when it was initiated. It’s the key to solving certain timing- and switch-based puzzles, and in a fight, it can be used to dodge a surprise attack, or to get the drop on an enemy by appearing directly behind them.
In one particularly difficult platforming challenge, I needed to navigate a chasm dotted with the outlines of various platforms and blocks. Shooting a nearby bell with an arrow would solidify the platforms in a small radius around the bell for a short time, forcing me to move quickly and think even quicker. Falling through a platform would often plunge Sargon into a pit of spikes, meaning I’d need to restart from the previous checkpoint. After many failed attempts at jumping, shooting, wall jumping, shooting, and air-dashing, I realized I wasn’t making full use of Sargon’s Shadow. During a platforming challenge, it can be used as an improvised checkpoint: Get to a safe point, create a teleport shadow, and if you start falling to your death, you can instantly transport back to safety to try again.
You don’t need to create a shadow at a safe point—it can be used to get back to any location, even in midair. In one instance, I wasn’t able to leap off a platform before it was about to disappear; adding a shadow of myself to the location before I fell meant that I didn’t need to leap my way back up there. I just had to shoot the nearby bell and teleport back to the now-solid platform, with plenty of time to plan my next move.
The relatively brief time I spent with The Lost Crown showed off the challenging platforming and exploration that Ubisoft Montpellier is known for, and highlighted fast-paced, fluid combat encounters that were no walk in the park either.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, and Luna on January 18, 2024.

Idk if he enters into the Rayman fancharacter zone, he definitely is in the same universe as the glade, but he's not native to the glade nor that universe

i have fallen down the rabbit hole of game collecting and i own a good few systems now. i'm curious about getting a dreamcast but i've been putting it off because i kind of expect myself only to get the two Sonic Adventure games on it. (i have a Wii so i could always get their gamecube ports, even though sadx is quite bad)
do you think a dreamcast is worth the investment? i know i'm probably missing some obvious hits on the platform
I still think SA1 (obviously) and SA2 play best on the Dreamcast.
As for other Dreamcast games, hm. There are a handful of games that never really came to other platforms, including:
Cannon Spike, the home console port of Capcom's top down arcade shooter. You can play as Cammy and Mega Man. It's fun but not incredible (like all arcade games, there's about 20 minutes worth of content).
Chu Chu Rocket, which probably needs no introduction. It had a GBA port, which is also pretty good, but you can't beat the Dreamcast original.
If you ask me, Crazy Taxi also plays best on Dreamcast, unless you have access to an arcade machine with a wheel (though the Gamecube version is probably fine). And Crazy Taxi 2 has yet to see release on any other platform (unless you count Crazy Taxi 3 on Xbox, but that's a different beast).
Blue Stinger and Illbleed are sort of legendary games that never left Dreamcast. I think even fans of these two games would agree they're not very fun, but they are deeply interesting and very weird.
I think D2 was practically a launch title for the Dreamcast and one of the first multi-disc games. People talked about it a lot at release but don't anymore. I have no idea what it's like, outside of it being a horror game.
Floigan Bros. is absolutely miserable. Peter Moore said it was going to be Sega's "Super Mario Bros." I think. It's a point and click adventure game and was going to be episodic. Only one episode ever came out. But it's so bad it's worth owning.
Since I've already recommended games of questionable quality, I suppose it's worth pointing out that Sonic Shuffle has also never left the Dreamcast.
It came out on other platforms, but I think the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2 is considered to be the best one. Other versions have weird changes or missing features, whereas the Dreamcast version is apparently the best of all worlds.
I think the Dreamcast is also home to the only console ports of Sega Rally 2 and Zombie Revenge. The latter is basically a House of the Dead Beat'em'up.
Metropolis Street Racer is also a Dreamcast exclusive, and while older racing sims aren't usually sought-after, I had fun when I revisited this last year.
Super Magnetic Neo is also unique and probably worth looking in to.
As is Super Runabout: San Francisco. Had fun with that one last year, too.
Which is to say nothing about Soulcalibur.
The Dreamcast version of Skies of Arcadia seems to have better visuals on Dreamcast, but a worse difficulty curve and less content. Pick your poison.
Games that may also be worth looking in to that I am not super familiar with: Cosmic Smash, Fighting Vipers 2, Headhunter, Maken X, PenPen Tri-Icelon, POD Speed Zone, Psychic Force, Stunt GP, Toy Commander, Sword of the Berserk, Confidential Mission, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 1 & 2, Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, Fur Fighters
Don't forget unreleased games: Half-Life, Propeller Arena, and a Dreamcast prototype of Toejam & Earl III.
Other Great Dreamcast Ports: Dynamite Cop, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Capcom vs. SNK 1 & 2, Mark of the Wolves, Last Blade 2, Guilty Gear XX, Mr. Driller, Powerstone 1 & 2, Project Justice, any of Capcom's "For Matching Service" games, Dead or Alive 2, Ikaruga, and Bangai-O.
My only concern with collecting Dreamcast stuff is that the console has a tendency to burn itself out after enough time. The GD-ROM laser doesn't last forever (I know mine is on its last legs) and it is basically impossible to service. Most people seem to go the route of installing an SD card loader or something.

Emerald 🟢 and Maroon 🔴
Hope your day gets better! <3
hi pancake!!! thank you for sending in an ask!! and tysm, i'm doing a lil better now! :)
🟢/Emerald: Are either you or your f/o a good cook? Or is the kitchen being declared a disaster zone and you ordered out?
HAH, we do order out often. i'm... uh... let's say challenged in the culinary department, that is to say i can't cook for shit. i can boil eggs. that's about the extent of my "skills".
rayman is actually a surprisingly talented cook! he's just a bit on the lazier side and finds it to be too much work, heheh. though he does sometimes enjoy surprising me with a delicious homecooked meal! he's a sweetheart AND a malewife 😌
🔴/Maroon: Tell us about the perfect date night scenario with your f/o!
our date nights are very casual and relaxing! it's not often we do fancy stuff for dates in general. we might go out to stargaze. or have a picnic. or have a picnic WHILE stargazing! we also go for a lot of late night strolls - i'm kinda scared of being outside in the dark, but he knows the whole glade like the back of his head, so i trust him lol. also he holds my hand the entire time to make me feel safer... 😅💖
