HEYYY GUYS I'M BACK !!! ap exams are finally over and i'm pretty sure i flunked ap physics but i sat down to draw stuff the day i finished after a whole lot of karaoke with my friends. i had a sketch of this going on but it has always been lying around unfinished so i really wanted to get this done for you guys last night

BUT HERE'S A NEZHA APPEARANCE i know a lot of you have been asking for him and multiple ppl have suggested that he be the critic from the movie, and you're right it totally suits him,,, bro can be a harsh but necessary critic. and i've always wanted to draw that specific scene of wukong lifting macaque in that a million dreams dance sequence. so here you go !! the critic isn't frequent in the movie but he's a necessary character so if you guys want to see more of nezha in this au just let me know !!

other stuff that i've been wanting to draw contain mei, sandy, etc. the rest of the crew as the performers and a lot more shadowpeach and spicynoodles (some asked for that specific scene where time slows as redson and mk's eyes meet with the trapeze performance thing so that'd be cool to include for the next part of this series) and i definitely do want to draw macaque in his trapeze artist at one point, he'd be gorgeous.

also let me know if you want to see any specific scene or characters from this au !! i'm not done cooking and i have so many things i want to draw for it but as you know i can't satisfy everybody... so i'm gonna need your help narrowing it all down. this movie is a piece of art and i'm so ready to combine it with lmk and actively draw until s5 comes out. so excited for this summer !!!

You look up to see this man just… staring. At you.

He clears his throat and tries oh so hard to play it cool but the shivers along his tail give him away

You just chuckle and stand up

Ok, no one can blame you for just breaking in the new dress he stole got you fro. The theater

And he only has himself to blame when he walks in to see you tidying up while wearing said dress

But blame himself for long, he does not.

As soon as he walks in, he is at your back with hands on your hips. A smile is on his face as his chin rests on your shoulder

“Breaking in the new dress, darling ~?”

You smile and greet him with a kiss on the cheek

He just buries his face in the crook of your neck and purrs

They come right up to you and just sit next to you, resting their head on your shoulder.

He stops in his tracks when he sees you reading a book on the couch, quietly turning the pages. This won’t do for him

He immediately goes over to the back of the couch and leans over, making you look up to face him

You giggle when you see him do this and lift your face up to meet his gaze

“Can I help you?”

“Yes. You can help by letting me get a full view of my beautiful partner in a new dress they haven’t shown me yet”

You laugh and put the book away, standing up and smiling as he is and haha over everything

“You look so pretty! How am I so lucky to be able to walk in on sights like this??”

Lol how would they react to this strong, giant, female King Kong, AKA Queen of The Apes

Like Wukong just brings his brothers, sisters, friends, and enemies to an island and their waiting for her, when a GIANT TALL ASS KONG appears and they are all freaking out except for Wukong who just yells out "WIFEEEEEEEE 😍🥰" and just transforms into a the same size as her and hugs her. Everyone is happy for him or is traumatised. (Tho I can see the adoptive children of the Wukongs like her).

Everybody jaws dropped hearing the news. Wukong was married and he never heard shared the news with them. Then again he has many other secrets but this one, is something they didn't expect him to hide.

Mk and Mei were Fangirling and Fanboying all over the place, Redson looked pale as he called his parents Wondering if they knew about this, Tang was speechless, Sandy waved a you as a greeting, and Macaque....Uh he looks like died all over to again.

(Mk Reborn Wukong) The monk was curious about where he sneaks off to when he's on his free time. Sandy was to scared to ask and Pigsy thought it was something shady. So he went to quietly follow Wukong and Fruity one day and what he found shocked the hell put of him.

Master Tang: Oh and what is it🤨

The monk was confused but not deterred, because the next day the pilgrims secretly followed Wukong and Fruity. To their usual spot and behold Wukong had wondered back to the same giant gorilla women that saved them a year ago and the most shocking part.

Wukong showering you with affection and care while fruity flew around your head calling you mama.

So the monk fainted, sandy was pale as snow, and pigsy bit into a tree branch seething in jealousy😵😱🤬

(NR Wukong) Li and Su were at a standstill as they looked at a Tall giant gorilla that sat behind Wukong.

Wukong: Li, Su I want you to meet my wifey (Y/n L/N) or well Yn Ln Wukong now🥰

Li's jaw dropped as his brains were buffering trying to wrap his head around the whole situation. While Su was dumbfounded by who she saw.😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵😵😵

Luier loves you too, you seem to be more patient with him and would listen to him talk endlessly as Silly girl would climb on your back like she did the first time. Yes Wukong didn't need to be worried about the kids because they love you as much as you love them. Meanwhile pigsy was scared sh*tless because you snared at him for flirting with you to much.

(Netflix Wukong) Lin and Dragon king were pulled to skull island by Wukong as a surprise was waiting for them.

Lin: Seriously where are we going??

Dragon king: Yeah what are you trying to show us??

Wukong: Lin, dragon king I want you guys to meet my wife.

Both: wait what???

So Wukong chirps into the forest and waits. Then suddenly, the ground shook as you made your way to your husband. Lin and Dragon King soon saw a giant female gorilla. Wukong got excited and grew into his kaiju form and hugged you tightly. The second Dragon king saw who it was he fainted.

Dragon king:(scared) Queen......Kong😰😨😱😵

Meanwhile Lin sat on your hand as she looked at you in Astonishment.

LMK Headcanons!!

Macaque absolutely can not, he has to be somewhere safe, quiet, and he has to feel protected to get any sleep. Macaque and Redson have Sensory Issues.

Redson has gold blood. Macaque trained and/or adopted Spindrax (HER NAME TRANSLATES INTO PRINCESS SHADOWS IN JAPENSE AND INTO PHANTOM SPIDER IN TAIWANESE, HOW COULD I REFUSE THE CHANCE?!) And he also adopts or is a Mother/Father figure to Bai He (Mamacaque) Macaque, Redson and Mei all have burn scars, Macaque from Diyu, Redson from his fire powers and Mei from the Samadhi Fire. Wukongs ex's are Spider Queen and Azure, and, Macaques ex is Scorpion Queen. Mk is Trans Masc and Gay. Macaque is Trans Masc, Non-Bianary and Bisexual. Wukong is Trans Fem, Gender-Fluid and Pansexual. Redson is Gender-Fluid and Bisexual. Sandy is Pansexaul and Asexual. Mei is Lesbian. Spindrax is Lesbian. Pigsy is Bisexual. Tang is Gay. Bai he is Trans Fem. Macaque, Princess Iron Fan, Chang'e and Mei. They all meet up and gossip, have a texting group too (There going to go to jail for what they text to each other if it ever get's out to public) Macaque and Wukong got shoved into Sandys cat therapy by Mei, Chang'e, Mk and Princess Iron Fan after Season 4, (Then Mk also started to go after Season 5) Macaque has a pet Flerken named Estelle (I'M BREAKING THE MULTIVERSE, YOU CAN'T STOP ME) Macaque's a Pyromaniac and has burned himself on purpose has a record for Arson!! :3 After Macaques revival. He doesn't have a heartbeat anymore, and, he's always has a freezing cold temperature, he's cold no matter how hot it is outside, or how many blankets he has, he can only be warmed by other body heat (but he's touch averse) or fire (That's how he got obsession with fire). Then you have Wukong and Redson who are like personal heaters 24/7. After LBD. Macaques head was fuzzy, his memories we're all over the place, he didn't know real from fake, he eventually had breakdowns, trying to figure out right from wrong. Wukongs War Form. (WE NEED TO SEE IT HELLO??) I think it would have three tails, three heads, four arms, a gold color with red accents + White eyes and Claws. Mk also has four ears, three tails he can hide in his monkey form. Macaque can hide his emotions really well, but when he's feeling uneasy, nervous or panicked his Shadow Powers will swirl around him and flicker. Refering to Twin Sun AU:

Wait, so where's Macaque when the pilgrims meet Wukong's brother? Where's his hot goth boyfriend to show off to the pig?!(He can so get bitches, he just has an acquired taste unlike the greedy piglet!)

Like, if Mac kept going back to the mountain while he was imprisoned, even if they argued a lot, wouldn't Macaque be on FFM helping take care of their home? Wouldn't he be there for introductions after they come to apologize? Was he hiding in wukong's room with him when they first showed up and comforting his crying boyfriend? Are they official at that point or just besties dancing around each other still? Is he visiting DBK's family? Will he show up during Redson's arc? I don't think he would miss out on the chance to show up and spook Wukong's new friends if given an actually valid chance to do so, he's kinda petty like that, the sassy bitch. Where's my favorite emo monkey?!

I feel like Macaque still takes a break from FFM for a bit after a few decades to find himself artistically - in a lot of aus I have him train under the Nine-Tailed Vixen. And since Luzhen is at home governing everything (albeit with a lot of help from the Stalwarts) Macaque wouldn't feel much guilt in going on the road.

As long as he's able to return to Five Point Mountain at least once a year.

I love the imagery of Wukong running home after the White Bone Arc, believing that he's lost the closest companions he's had in centuries - only to see Macaque standing there in their bedroom, pretending as though he hadn't rushed home at the sounds of his mate's release upon the wind.

Wukong collaspes into his mate's arms, sobbing from a mixture of frustration and loss of his party, and of relief and joy of seeing Macaque in their home again.

Macaque is ready to murder that monk if he ever dares step on to their island.

Luzhen almost beats his brother-in-law to the punch with that one. Luckily the Stalwarts, Sha Wujing & Ao Lie, and Wukong himself stop that from happening.

As they're all hashing out their demands, a deep enchanting voice comes from the Palace doors.

It's Macaque, deliberately unglamoured and dressed in silk bedclothes befitting a King's spouse. His hair toussled as if he'd just rolled out of bed.

Wukong is confused by Macaque's choice in fashion until he sees Zhu Bajie's expression.

The very same pig who had goaded their master out of spite of Wukong "ruining his chance" with the White Bone Demon, was now staring jaw-dropped at who Wukong had waiting at home for him.

Wukong's face goes red from blushing, and he socks Bajie in the face for oogling his goth bf.

Macaque still doesn't trust Tripitaka. His own sense of premonition tells him that the monk will betray their trust in the future. He wants Wukong's circlet off Yesterday.

But Tripitaka cannot remove the Circlet. Only the Buddha himself can.

Macaque growls with frustration - and threatens that if Tripitaka ever uses the Headache Sutra again, then Macaque will personally take the voice from the Monk's throat before taking his mate home with him.

Macaque occasionally pops up along the Journey - whether working/performing for his Vixen mentor, or just to check that the Pilgrims are keeping their promises. Even just to step out of the shadows and terrify them at quiet moments. And ofc to smooch Wukong as they did whenever they met under the Mountain each year - the Golden-Eyed king watching his mate emerge from the darkness like he's the moon itself.

Misfortune does happen to Macaque though. Something that leaves him minus an eye. Perhaps a version of what happens in the Jttw Stone Egged au between him and the Brotherhood - the shadow far more quick to denounce his former brothers with the confidence a healthy marriage and a supportive brother-in-law has brought him.

Luzhen is very proud of how Macaque makes things up to Wukong, though he'd never say it.

Yuèliàng:

Yuèliàng was created for the purpose to accompany Chang'e, as while she does have her robo bunnies it's lonely without anyone to talk to in person, so Chang'e made a more humanoid robot... But of course still bunny-themed it. Can't leave the bunnies out.

Yuèliàng goes by mirror pronouns. Yuèliàng is a friendly, optimistic, and playful robot, who's main purpose is to just entertain and socialize. Yuèliàng sometimes appears in Chang'e's cooking show to help keep the energy up. They would be great with children, despite the fact there's not really any children on the moon..

Ying Jiao Yue (Season 4):

After retrieving Jiao Yue and Bai He, the reign of Lady Bone Demon is finally over. Though, Macaque and Mayor still seems to won’t stop bothering her. She decided she needs a break and stays at Redson’s place for a while, completely unaware of Azure Lion taking over MK and his friends.

Though, Jiao Yue and Nezha were suddenly surprised by the sudden attack from The Brotherhood. After Redson’s parents get sucked into the scroll, Redson knew he had to keep Jiao Yue away and teleported to the safest place he could think of, the Celestial Realm. But it didn’t last long when Redson also got sucked into the scroll when The Brotherhood came to the celestial realm to challenge the Jade Emperor. Jiao Yue blocks the scroll from taking Nezha and she too ends up getting sucked by the scroll of memory… now traveling back in time to meet her ancestors.

He keeps you very safe. There are lots of monkeys he trusts to take care of you if he's unable to

You live with him in his hut primarily, but there are tree nests scattered throughout flower fruit if ever he wants you two to sleep under the stars

He leaves a few duplicates with you if he has to leave for an extended period of time

When he finally lets the gang meet you he makes sure you're secured to him the whole time--he doesn't want anyone else picking you up or anything especially if you're not comfy with it.

MK and Mei absolutely adore you, Mei wants to take a bunch of pictures and put you in cute pic outfits! And MK just wants to hug you tight

Pigsy and Tang are questioning Wukong like "how old are they?" "do you take care of them properly??" "Do you need a set of actual babysitters??"

Sandy is probably the best with kids so he gets attached to you easily! But he won't like grab you off the ground to hug you--he doesn't want to make you upset

Redson is indifferent, he only came along because MK and Mei dragged them into it but he guesses you're pretty cute for the child of his parent's enemy

Macaque thinks you're really adorable and of course his parental instincts kick in but he'd never admit it

Over time the gang becomes like your adoptive family in a way and Wukong trusts them with you if he's not able to take care of you at the moment.

It's all very sweet :)) and you are treated with the utmost love and care(you're also spoiled rotten but really what's the problem with that?)

Mei and redson do in-fact exist, they live in a closed off city built by both redson and mei’s families along with nezha and few celestial beings.

If you took bite out of the small pink monkey “peachy”, he tastes just like peaches.

Mk was the one to kill tang and pigsy.

Macaque revived away from his grave, which is why he didn’t take the staff or even know that it was placed there.

Bai he knows how likes to make little dolls of the people she meets.

Mk can turn into a small monkey out of fear.

Macaque spent the first 40 years of being resurrected looking for wukong before giving up.

Wukong moved flower fruit mountain far away to be completely hidden away (which is why macaque couldn’t find him)

Redson would fall hardly on your floor after he got punched by Wukong, when he opened his eyes someone looked straight back at him.

So he'd come back once in a while talking to you as you'd listen to him, we fr need more people like you. 😔

How about the characters

Starting with the traffic light trio mk Mei and redson are the young royals of there respective kingdoms Mei being the princess of the west, mk being the Prince of the east and redson being the Prince of the south, after dbk “died” soutern isolated there kingdom from the world but after 20ish years reopened them after tang invited the queen and Prince to a dinner party, this is where the traffic light trio meet and become friends?

Tang is the bio king of Estren the 41 year old human has been ruling for 20 years having taken the throne at the age of 21. He is a powerful spellcaster who has been honing his abilities for 30 years. Training along side his thrusted friend sun wukong. The two have been though a war together and after the demon threatens the peace they have tang takes it upon himself to do something about it so his son won’t go though the same thing he went through

Sun wukong the monkey king….what is there to say about the 6X immortal monkey he gave mk some of his powers (much to tang dismay) and scared the poor man’s life. Now he spends most of his days training mk and getting up to cheeky mistief

Macaque. I don’t want to spill to much but he is working Thor the ruler of a kingdom outside the four corners nation. Innermit the elven kingdom.

Lady iron fan is an elf who fell In love with the demon king and ran away with him becoming queen of the demons.

Ne Zha is a “lotus demon” and a very powerful one at that being 2000 years old the gaurd has a lot of experience under his belt and after saving the demon kingdom form a rouge dragon dbk took him in to train to be a warrior. Years later he’s called by the king and given the order that no matter what he will protect his son redson. Ne Zha agrees and since then he’s been by the young Princes side helping him through tough times and training him in the princes fire abilities.

Finally we have pigsy or Zhu bajie is what he goes by. He’s the head chef of the east and married to tang. Now you may is thinking “why is he human” the answer being he’s not. He’s from a family of pig demons who have learned to shapeshift to look human so they don’t look suspicious in the east. Pigsys still a big brute and stubborn at fuck but he loves his family more than anything.

RED SON

Seems like he got lucky, he met you at the food stand where he and his father worked (this takes place in season 2, revenge of the spider queen)

Now, he was slight uhm, how do I say this, slightly disgusted at the scent you had ( he doesn't like angels??? celestial- I don't even know anymore ), but he brushed it off and gave you the menu!

surprisingly you chose the INFERNO one and he got a bit shocked but happily gave you it, he asked you why would you choose it, and you simply replied "I always wanted to try something new! Maybe something spicy, I found other shops like yours but I think this one is the best!" you were cheery and red son didn't like it but he pushed that down and watched you eat in happiness

It felt like he just met an angel, though he dislikes he thinks he's one lucky of a person/demon to find someone like you that just randomly exists in the world.

SO! I think he's never seen an angel before- If I'm correct- If I'm not HELP- but he surely has grown to hate them, but you? You're different, just because of that little meet you two have grown a little blooming relationship!!

When you heard his shop got destroyed you were devastated but quick to comfort red son, your touches heal and give comfort to red son which he was glad to feel.

So he knew you were an angel already but decided to not say anything, you were glad not to explain the whole angel ordeal

He was super happy to find out you were an Immortal, finally, at least he doesn't need to spend his days alone.

Once he found out that you only have a halo and no wings, he decides to ask you which leads you to have tons of memories and trauma! how cool. /sarcasm

When you had your panic attack he helped you, well kinda, he doesn't know how to comfort someone in this kind of situation but he tried his best.

Redson likes observing your halo from time to time, it's very fascinating for him, how it glows in the dark, how it symbolizes your holiness. He does want to touch it though if you give him the permission

There is a chance that he might 'experiment' on it but nothing intense for you to get hurt and uncomfortable.

He will listen to your stories about what's it like being in the heavens or something or about your life, he will listen in curiosity and maybe with wonder.

Whenever you're by his side he feels warmed that you decide to stay by his side and cheer on for him, he does the same…but in a kind of different way, more aggressive to say but either way he will do the same

If he gets injured he'll be happy yet annoyed because he can clearly take care of himself! he doesn't always need you to heal him…but he does enjoy it if you still heal him, he's in denial sometimes…

He usually never sleeps, due to the fact he has some projects to work on, You have to force his ass to bed, and when he does agree you snuggle up into him as he tries to sleep, which was easy because of your presence and warmth. You both are personal heaters to each other! how cute

(HIB Wukong) Luier and Silly girl already loved you when you made their father happy. They also became fast friends and Siblings with Godzilla Jr. Goji Jr was quick to become very protective over his younger smaller brother and Sister. But overall the 3 were loving play mates, and Silly girl had started calling you mama at the end of the visit as Luier would sit by you asking questions. Which put another painful blush on his face as he watched the whole interaction. You also Might be wondering why pigsy didn't bother to flirt with you......????

(Netflix Wukong) the dragon king Screamed like a little girl when he saw you at Lin's house. While Lin herself, she could even begin to comprehend what's going on here. Wukong had bought you and Goji Jr to meet his friends and so far Goji Jr loved Lin as he went and licked her face. Making Lin laugh at the tickles, meanwhile dragon king was down for the count as you stared down at him with a glare. Dragon king remained on his best behavior while you were there Because his life literally depended on it.

For this new single parent au:

You could have a set of twins a boy and a girl, the boy resembles Wukong with Macaque’s skin tone and mask color, while the girl resembles Macaque with Wukong’s skin tone and mask color, and both have Macaque’s six ears. The boy’s name is Luzhen and the girl’s name is Ziqi (names that Wukong himself said he wanted to use for their first child).

Luzhen is near identical to Macaque in persona, and Ziqi is undoubtedly Wukong’s little girl.

Both are a little bit younger than Bai He (physically)

Wukong’s heart breaks when he finds out about them and leaves him a shell of his former self (largely because he realized that when he killed Macaque he also killed his unborn twins), he’s still able to train MK properly but he’s a lot more secluded and somber, not a single sign of his once cute and cheaky self (the only time he ever shows joy is when he’s proud of MK).

Macaque after realizing how broken Wukong became feels aimless, and settles down in the city with his kids, properly opening up dojo, and often taking his kids to the park which is where he meets Bai He (who is an orphan with only her ailing grandparents in her life) and ends up becoming a mother figure to her.

Wukong himself still wouldn’t have the best relationship with the monkie crew, but they’re (Mei and Pigsy) far less suspicious of him and are far more sympathetic towards him (MK drags Wukong to a lot of hangouts and explained everything to the crew about the ex and the kids) and Wukong in turn is much more open with then feeling no need to lie, because he assumes that they’ll eventually shun him if find out the worst things about him (and is stunned when they don’t).

Macaque eventually starts talking his three kids to see the bull clan (which actually slows down their revenge plan to a near halt, once they find out how Macaque broke Wukong).

The real meat of the story begins around season three, LBD not only uses Bai He as a host, she possesses Luzhen and Ziqi turning them into mindless puppets forcing Macaque to become her champion with the additional threat of killing his children if he retaliates.

Once Wukong learns of this his protective instincts kick into full gear, prepared to do anything to end the bone witch for daring to harm HIS family (he doesn’t hold back while retrieving the scroll from Nezha, he informs the crew point blank about the fourth ring and his plan with the Samadhi Fire (which freaks them out but they’re not gonna question a protective Monkey King), and even drags Redson into the plan, since as the creator of the fire, he would have the best known how regarding controlling the fire (and transferring the fourth ring safely out of Mei’s body)).

Course just like in canon the ritual ends up going south and Mei ends up with the fire (due to the Mayor this time around, because Macaque refuses to challenge her).

But of course they manage to take down LBD, free Macaque and the kids, and save the world.

Wukong goes back to his somber, seclusive self once he’s sure the kids are safe, only to be surprised when Macaque shows up on the mountain with the kids, and bluntly informs Wukong that he owes him for destroying LBD and freeing his kids, so he’s allowing Wukong the chance to spend time with the twins (a few hours, once a week, with his supervision) so he doesn’t remain indebted to Wukong (it’s actually a gesture of gratitude, but Macaque will never admit it).

From there the au would be the crew and kids trying to get these two back together, while saving the world along the way, and keeping any annoying competition out of the picture.

(I’m looking at you Azure, Peng, and Xiangliu).

Interesting! Although I do already have ideas for the twins (they're Rumble and Savage cuz I think they're adorable) but I do like the idea that Wukong being totally serious with the fact that his family is being threatened

I just thought of the perfect excuse for Wukogn to come down from the mountain in Soft Boiled au! If Yuebei is a ribbondancer, she had to start young. This means Wukong had to enroll her in classes for it at some point. Imagine if, after winning some competition, Yuebei was actually IN the parade as one of the dancers! This means she, unfortunately, was smack dab in the middle of the chaos, hidden behind a glamour. This could be both how her dancing troupe and otber friends finds out about her being a monkey... and the world at large discovering Sun Wukong had a daughter if she hadn't been known about beforehand.

To make things angst, imagine if she had left her asthma inhaler with Wukong so it wouldn't get lost/damaged in the performance. And unlike Redson, Yuebei didn't escape without being captured. Luckily, SQ isn't willing to actually harm a little girl like that, even if she is Wukong's daughter. In fact she finds the fact Yuebei is such a Daddy's Girl and Wukong is so protective of her extremely amusing and kind of sweet! Unfortunately Yuebei ends up having an asthma attack tho, just form a mix of tbe bad quality air in the mech, the excitement and exercise she had, and jsut waking up feeling kinda bad. And since Wukong has the inhaler and both are currently trapped, they have to rely on their captors to be kind enough to get Yuebei her inhaler from Wukong's pocket. And it isn't SQ who is in the room when it happens.

Macaque was spying on them from the shadows and watching as Wukong damn near begged LBD to let him save his little girl, actually crying tears as the bone witch just laughed in his face, not caring about the girl. She grabbed the inhaler andjsut threw it on the ground in front of him, stepping on it, before walking out. Once he was sure LBD was gone, and Wukong was distracted trying to help his daughter and keep her calm, Macaque made his move. The medicine disappears into a shadow portal and Macaque slides out next to Yuebei, inhaler in hand. It's a very tense moment before Macaque proceeds to help Yuebei use said inhaler, but he won't cut them free.

Not without a VERY overdue conversation with his ex.

Wukong noticed Yuebei's interest in ribbon-dancing a long time ago, and found it a good way to get her to interact with regular kids roughly her age but under supervision. Wukong may be a bit of a helicopter parent, but none of the other guardians or teachers judge him for it when he expains that Yuebei is health-compromised.

Yuebei thinks her dad is super embarassing, sitting on the sidelines with a whole doctor's office in his bag, cheering for her and her group for every bit of progress, bringing fresh fruit for everyone, calling her his little Moonlight - UGH!

But she'd rather have he there and keep going to class than not go at all so...

At New Years, Yuebei's school gets a prestigious role; acting as junior dancers in the parade! They've done competitions and live performances before, but New Years!? :D

Yuebei does not stop fretting about it when she gets home or meets up with the Noodle Gang. She's low-key panicking since it will be her first time in a parade at all. All that anxiety makes her start to wheeze a bit...

So on the evening of New Years; Wukong tells MK to go hang out with his dads and friends for the day - and maybe take a break to watch the parade! MK and Mei are super excited to see Yuebei perform for real, and convince Pigsy to close the food truck for a few minutes when it's time for her school's progression.

Then the spiders attack.

Yuebei is scream-wheezing with anger by now. She's spent days preparing for this parade! How dare these B-Tier villains wreck her and her team's performance!? Nearly aflame with rage, her glamour falls apart, revealing a very familiar-looking monkey demon...

Spider Queen is quick to capture this one, even if the little Monkey Princess is too cute to eat. She's perfect bait for catching her Daddy.

Wukong is captured alongside DBK as in canon, with the addition of Yuebei in the web next to him. Weirdly, the spider mech seems to "glitch out" a bit when it draws energy from her.

As Wukong soothes his crying little girl that it's ok and that they'll make it out of here, he notices how here breathing is Off.

Yuebei's asthma had gotten better as she grew up, but it never went away. And now she was in the midst of a massive attack.

Wukong panics as he struggles to reach for the inhaler in his pocket, gritting his teeth as the contricting webs pull at his strength, still assuring his daughter that everything will be okay.

Then the strange little girl appears... and Wukong pales at the sight of her. He weakly asks for assistance to help his child, only for the Bone Demon to mock him for having "such a weak progeny" and crush the inhaler underfoot. She leaves the room, threatening her future goals.

The other demons in the room now fully realise that Sun Wukong, The Monkey King, is terrified in this moment - terrified for his child's life. Wukong is trying his best not to cry, still trying to keep his daughter calm and breathing, but hope is running thin....

Until a shadow leaks into frame.

Anyone whos broken an inhaler casing will tell you that you can still release the medicine if the cartridge is intact, its just a little awkward.

Macaque fumbles with the cartridge as Wukong instructs him how to use it to help Yuebei, all three monkeys breathing a sigh of relief as the youngest's wheezing calms and breathing steadies.

Macaque is about to ask Wukong a much needed question when DBK manages to break free from his own webbing, terrified for his niece's well-being.

Ripping the webs asunder, DBK brushes the tears from Yuebei's eyes, asking if she's indeed ok before heading out to look for his own child. Wukong thanks his brother sincerely. And thanks Macaque too.

Macaque acts non-chalantly about it, and finally gets to ask;

"Who's kid is this?"

Wukong and Yuebei's faces tells him it's not a question they expected him to ask. Or one they would need an answer for. Macaque mentally panics as he calculates all the similarities between his ex-mate and the little monkey demon he just helped save.

Macaque blinks as the realisation comes to him; "Oh sh-"

And then the gang's airship releases the spider venom antidote throughout the city. More questions for later!
