People look into my eyes and see the demon inside; what stares back is what they truly fear.
People only see me for my Family's past; my name has been repaired. I am a changed man with bigger ambitions.
The world wasn't meant for people like us, however, we stand strong against those who wronged us or those who plan to.

I had the debut of this series sitting on my shelves for ages, then finally got around to reading about a ‘born yesterday’ teen android trying to navigate her way in the world. It was difficult to find the rest of the books in the series because it’s a bit old now but managed to track down some copies to complete the trilogy. A satisfying read for the younger end of the YA demographic.

Happy Pride losers, I’m ready to be clowned but my dumb ass is now convinced Rogue is the Master…
Rogue and Renegade have eerily similar meanings under the right circumstance.
To rebel against an organized group. To go rogue.
An endearingly naughty person
Koschei, our second fave Renegade Time Lord
Apparently they were also called a Rogue Time Lord? I am not making this up.
Although Maestro is Master in Italian and look how that turned out
“Lord” interesting.
Red and Blue. The master and 13 were red and blue coded respectively. Have they switched, Symbolically?
Rogue was looking at the Doctor rather nefariously, even once they were buddies. Just go through some of the scenes again. It’s harder than you’d think to tell if he’s trying to seem seductive or evil
The entire premise of this ep seems to be “things are not as they seem; people are not as they appear” which is a Master staple
The Master has been haunting the fuck out of the narrative lately.
Here’s my thread on just how much
When I saw the first trailer, I instinctively thought “ballroom dance guy” was gonna be the new Master
The inside of Rogue’s (familiarly messy) ship has controls eerily similar to the configuration of a TARDIS.
Rogue is obviously a time traveler if he has that space ship and knows DnD (Rogue + Time + Lord. Oh?)
DnD might be a dead giveaway
Was Rogue’s name being inspired by DnD necessary to include? Cute thing the writers wanted to put in, or clue?
Why would Rogue know what DnD was but not know what cosplay or improv was?
The Master has been taken prisoner by the Toymaker, infamous for his love of? Games. You know who also has a running theme of “winning” and “losing”? The Master
In DnD you play as a character and rely on skill and chance to survive within the confines of a structured storytelling game. Bending the rules is often involved. The Master tried that against the Toymaker and failed.
DnD players will often have little tiny figurines of their characters. Remind you of anything?
the Master is a dnd rogue archetype. Trickster, lone wolf, shapeshifter.
If the Doctor is symbolically trapped in a TV show, is the Master trapped in a game? If the Toymaker is the DM, is he going rogue against the Toymaker?
The Master is infamous for their disguises and “cosplays” and has catfished the Doctor before.
Rogue is almost suspiciously too much the Doctor’s type. He’s like the love child of River Song and Jack Harkness. He is exactly the type of character the Master would create to lure and seduce the Doctor.
He and the Doctor just…get each other. It’s like they’ve known each other for much longer than a few hours. They’re too cushy (haha)
Rogue threatened to kill the Doctor, and then imprisoned him in a nice little cage. Familiar?
He tried to make the Doctor kill Ruby, who we all know is just Clara 2.0. Familiar?
He knows too much and too little
He knew the party was attended by alien birb people but only knew about one alien birb? And did he reaaaally think Doc was an alien bird?
The Dancing. They knew they wanted there to be a dance party before they even settled on a time period setting for the episode. Enough said.
The ring was…interesting
That’s a lot of commitment, even if only a promise ring. Something tells me he intended it as an engagement ring though
Someone tried to write a book in the 80s where 5 and Ainley were ex spouses, but it was shot down
Just an unrelated detail, but a ring on the pinky is a gay thing
Mirroring. Thoschei do that. A lot.
“You!” “No, you!” “no, you!”
The way they danced
The scene where they kept turning on and off the music
Speaking of music…Bad Guy by Billie Eilish? Too on the nose? Can’t get you out of my head? Poker face?
You remember that lady’s hand that picked up the Master in his widdle toof? Hand of the Rani?
This episode was written by two women. The Master would literally be in women’s hands
I remember watching Sacha Dhawan’s Spy Master for the first time and going…darn, he reminds me so much of Avengers era Loki. Kate Herron directed season 1 of the Loki Series and had a lot of creative control. Would it really be surprising if RTD (confirmed Loki fan) went to her for the Master after Sacha?
Didn’t Russell say he’s leaving the Master for “other writers?”
“The Master is parked” did he happen to park a Tardis disguised as an everyday spaceship???
In an interview, Kate said she and Briony designed Rogue to be the Doctor’s “equal”
References
“When I see him, I’ll know” and he is drawn to Rogue like a magnet.
“Travel with me” who must you be to want the Doctor to be your companion instead of vice verse
“We can argue across the stars”
“I’m in your head” + “can’t get you out of my head” + the Master being referenced multiple times in almost every episode since PoTD
“I’m trigger happy” feels really fucking intentional
He said “find me.” If he is the Master, the person he lost was the Doctor, (notice he said “them” and not “her” or “him?”) and the Master and Doctor always find each other.
Scream of the Shalka? And didn’t the Master fall through the floor like 40 times in Curse of Fatal Death? Richard E Grant was the Doctor in both of those.
For more, @bugeater77 and friends have this lovely thread
Guys CHECK MY REBLOG, RTD posted something wild.

I think there are a lot of valid criticisms to make of Garrus as a character (and what I like about his writing the most is that you can actually do this in-game), but when people dislike him because "he's a cop!!", it's so funny to me.
Like yeah ACAB and all, don't fall for copaganda, but like ... You can't seriously dislike Garrus because he's a cop when you're literally playing Military Propaganda: The Game. Garrus expicitly joins you because you have even less oversight than he does. You play not only as a high-ranking Alliance soldier, but you become a Spectre, beyond touch by even the Alliance itself. Garrus joins you because he thinks he can get what you have. Because he thinks you will let him get away with shit he didn't get away with before. And yeah, that's off-putting for sure, but think about it for a moment. What does this say about Shepard's position in this, that he can reasonably believe this, and that you can actually agree with him (if Renegade) without consequence? That you can decide that yes, I will indulge this, and the game just lets you do that and makes it a perfeclty valid approach to being a Spectre.
"Oh but my Shepard is moral and would use her powers for good! She's a Paragon! Garrus is bad because he doesn't believe in regulations!"
Hmm, so you're saying that the problem with this power structure is that there are good cops and bad cops? And not that the whole system is fucked from the start? Hmm ... Seems like you've fallen for some sort of ... proper gander ...
My point is, dislike any character you want. It's perfeclty valid to dislike Garrus, because he's bloodthirsty, at times amoral, a vigilante, thinks he's above the law etc, and yes, those are often the traits of a wannabe bad cop, but to dislike him only because "he's a cop!" while other characters, including your own precious Shepard, get a pass?
Bro, you're playing as military in a game that glorifies violence and ignoring politicians and protocol. A running gag is hanging up on your employers because they're silly little politicians who talk too much and want to hold you accountable. You're basically Cop 2.0. Ultracop. The galaxy's cop mommy.
Put things into perspective and get an actual reason to hate the guy. Because if he's a cop, then what are you?

Couple of questions.
Why does Jensen insist on playing Dean in every role? Even someone asked him at the FBBC party if he chose the “Dean clothes” for Tracker and he admitted that he purposefully played Dean in this show. Doesn’t this make him seem less desirable to hire?
Why would CBS want to include so many supernatural elements into a new series like Tracker? From the lines, to including an Impala look alike, to his clothes, to specific scene setups. Even using “carry on” song in their promos.
Help it make sense.
Link. Oh man the clip blasting the "Carry On" song was jarring. it hit me between the eyes and gave me sink eyes.
Jensen has been playing Jensen "Dean Winchester" Ackles for quarter of a century, since Days of Our Lives.  It made him a multi-millionaire by his 30s so I don't blame him for typecasting himself.  Ideally, he should go the Tom Cruise route and really commit to The Dean by showcasing the character in different ways.  I read that Jensen was able to do this for his father-daughter scenes in Big Sky when he's not copying and pasting Dean Winchester the rest of the time.  That's the downside of typecasting if you're not improving your craft, you start to see those same roles as mere jobs and gone are the passions and true capabilities.  Unless you want to play the same role over and over again, then typecasting is good.
Ideally Jensen the personality actor should be "mastering a niche".  By repeatedly playing similar roles, actors can refine their skills in portraying certain characters or emotions. This can lead to mastery over that niche, making them the go-to person for those specific roles and sometimes even earning them critical acclaim for their expertise.  For example, Morgan Freeman embraced his typecasting as an authoritative, wise, and often calming presence, and he's frequently cast in roles that require a dignified figure even when he's playing a baddie in Hard Rain.  Freeman used this typecasting to become one of the most respected figures in Hollywood.
This hasn't happened yet, as seen in The Winchesters ;Jensen went from Jason Teague to Dean Winchester when he's thinking and talking about Sam.  From the 30 second Tracker SPN sizzle reel clip, it looks like Jensen is showcasing a version of Dean Winchester as a lone wolf archetype and Justin just happens to be in the scene.  If any of you seen the 90's Renegade about a lone wolf ex-cop on the mission to clear his name with the help of a Native American partner/assistant, this is what the clip reminds me of.
That said, the amount of SPN easter eggs in the clip was not fun, mostly because I kept looking for Sam Winchester and instead I get some dude who looked like he accidentally wandered in the SPN verse in a daze and giving Dean Winchester the side eyes.  Look, I'm sure Justin is awesome as the lead of Tracker, but I couldn't tell with the SPN sizzle reel featuring a Dean-solo show.   One or two easter eggs are fine, like Nathan Fillion's Rick Castle dressing up as Nathan Fillion's Malcom Reynolds from Firefly for 5 seconds in a Halloween episode and speaking fluent Mandarin.  But Rick wasn't behaving or dressing like Malcom 2.0 for the whole episode.
Either the episode was written by a SPN fan or CBS is testing the waters to see if "Supernatural" without the actual supernatural could work in Tracker by adding Dean 2.0 as a recurring character.

GUESS WHOSE BOOK ARRIVED TODAYYYYYY SO NOW I GET TO POST PICS!!!!
This is To Hell and Back Again, by dear dear @perexcri. Cover design by @byierficrecs (thank you SO much for letting me use your design!). Binding by me!
I'm not in ST fandom, but I had the pleasure of skimming this fic while I was typesetting, and can I just say? I'm rooting for these kids SO hard. I'd go to hell and back again for them--[GUNSHOT]
But in all seriousness, Leah's writing is whip-smart, sincere, and funny as hell. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who is a fan of these crazy kids. Her ao3 is a veritable treasure trove of excellent byler stories, which you should absolutely check out right now go do it!!!
As usual, process chatter and more pics, under the cut! <3
WORD COUNT: 144k
FONTS:
Title: Hellprint
Heading/Chapter Headings/Spine Titling: Norwester
C4 Summary: Roboto Condensed
Main Body Text: Garamond
COVER MATERIAL: Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte, printed on my Epson Ecotank (more on that later baha)
HEADBANDS: Trebizond silk thread in the colors Garnet and Black
EDGE PAINTING: Acrylic paint in Crimson and Black
TITLING: Red iron-on foil for the text and white HTV for my maker's mark. Cut by Charlotte, my Cricut!
BINDING:
This was my first go at a German Bradel binding! I've seen lots of Renegade folks use this method and am so psyched I got around to trying it myself. I modified DAS's approach a bit and tipped on endpapers instead of sewing them in (there were a lot of new things to learn so I decided to shelve sewn endpapers for the next binding XD). I also only had 2.0 mm bookboard instead of 1.0 mm, so instead of layering two of the same boards like DAS did, I instead used one 2.0 mm board and one very thin piece of cardboard to create the groove for the hinge. The original article that DAS bases his video on actually uses boards of two different sizes too--a "thick" board and a "thin" board--but I still want to experiment with DAS's way of doing it, especially since I think it'll be easier to do cutouts on thinner board.
As far as matching the groove with the hinge, I think I did pretty okay for my first try! One board is definitely better fitting than the other though baha. There's always room for improvement, but hey that's where half the fun is anyway (and also you can't tell after the case-in whew), so I'm not stressed about it :D
Tumblr media
COLOR SCHEME:
Nearly all of my design decisions for the color scheme were based off of @byierficrecs's gorgeous cover design! They were so generous in letting me use their cover and answering my questions about fonts, for which I can't thank them enough. And with so many wonderful elements to work with, it was so much fun to tease out the elements I loved from their work!
I decided to keep with the theme of red/black, which I also thought was fitting for a ST fic set largely in the Upside Down. Thus, black painted edges with red vines, as a kind of inverted, "upside down" continuation of the cover:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even the thread I used to sew the signatures is red/black! :3 (please also ignore how the picture of the textblock is not focused on the actual textblock ajsldkfjs it was very late when I took that photo)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
COVER PRINTING:
This was my first time printing a cover on my new printer (!!!), and BOY oh boy was it an adventure. Figuring out the dimensions took a second, but not as long as it took me to figure out what settings produced something I was happy with. Behold, all my test prints:
Tumblr media
Very long story short, let's just say now I understand why being a prepress color specialist is literally a career you can have in publishing LOL.
Also, for some reason I could only sometimes get the bleed to work? Basically what I ended up doing was painting over the parts where the design didn't quite extend over the turn-ins, using with the same black acrylic paint I used for the edges. You can see this more clearly in the photos I took of the groove, and the endpapers covered the messy bits when I cased in:
Tumblr media
THE MAIN INGREDIENT: LOVE
Finally!! The most important part of the process!!! HI LEAH ILY!!!! This fic is special for a lot of personal reasons, but chief among them is LOVE!!!! Your A/N's made me tear up when I first read it, because AH! You read my words of love!!! And went and wrote hundreds of thousands of your own words of love!!! And now I hope I've given that love back once again :3 And on and on we go, ad infinitum, until we are relieved of the curse of literacy and greet whatever comes after all this, thanks be to Todd. But until then, I'm so glad I get to shoot holes out of bagels and scream about radioactive tumblr posts and cry over fake people with you, friend :] Truly, peace and love on FUCKING Planet Earth. We are making it and we will all go together when we--[ANOTHER GUNSHOT]
I'm so excited to see where we're going, and what other stories we have to tell. But for now: EEEEEEEE YOU WROTE A BOOK!!!!!!!

In the Main Primarch au, is Jaune a loyalist or traitor?
Confused what’s the actual canon version.
I honestly haven't settled on it, original ending had him go renegade and die, so here are the old notes copy and pasted from the document for the original ending.
"Jaune and about 80% of his legion die on Remnant along with most of Remnant population. Once the heresy was finished, the Great Scouring commenced immediately and a great forced was mustered against Remnant due to how Jaune set about the defenses. Jaune had already started the planet wide evacuation of Remnant, recalling all Remnant Citizens off world home to evacuate. By the time the evacuation was well underway, the fleets of the Ultramarines, Space wolves and White Scars attacked but were meant with the Remnant Fleet. Unfortunately the fight spilled down onto Remnant, with a planet wide assault. Jaune, his legion, and Remnant Guard held back the assault as best as they could as the evacuation continued. Jaune ordered aspirants, young marines, a handful of Dreadnoughts to escape on the Juniper. They were the Legions future now.
Only about a 1/3 of the population was able to escape, his friends, and Pyrrha along with their children escaped on the Juniper and other ships jump into deep space with their recently created Light drives, which while slower than warp travel, is much safer. They vanished to places which not even the Imperium would find them again.
Jaune would be killed by Leman Russ, but his death would then activate a weapon on Remnant that gases the whole planet with an immesnly powerful viral weapon. The remaining population, his remaining marines died and any Loyalists unable to get off world died. The entire planet consumed by the deadly fog that made it impossible for anyone to land on, from space marines to even the adeptus mechanicus, all would perish save for the ecosystem itself. Nature would retake Remnant. For 10,000 years, the Imperium would Station a chapter of Astartes to watch the "dead" world, as if waiting for something."
This idea basically opened up a sequel story with Remnant Knights returning during the great rift, taking back their Ancestral homeworld. However it wasn't a good return, the remaining Remnant Population would revere Jaune as a god over the course of generations, a twisted version of truly happened becoming their religious canon. Due to the loss of the dreadnoughts overtime, much of the Legion history was lost and what was saved just became a war like doctrine for their "god". The Sons of Jaune are treated as literally Demi-gods of war who lead the armies and fleets in a holy crusade to avenge their "god" and ancestors. They basically just became the Imperium 2.0? Or word bearers? Idk all I know is that what she was going for I guess.
I'm kinda exploring this with "The fall of Remnant" art pieces but not the whole Religious crusade for revenge type deal. Remnant Knights would come back but only to retake their homeworld and that's it, stay away from the wider galaxy as a whole.

So I notice in some Renegades posts they've mentioned Emerald, Mercury, and even Ren. Are they part of the team as well? And if Ren is, does that mean Nora is too?
Yes, well, at least not during the whole Mistral stuff. I imagine Merc, Em, Nora, and Ren join up Post-Atlas-Arc, where Salem's plans are pretty much thwarted and stop Atlas from falling. The Renegades 2.0 start traveling around globally trying fix the aftermath of all the shit that resulted from the whole thing; Roaming bandit warbands, lost settlements, refugee crisis, reopening of the Huntsmen Academies, and Atlas's new authoritarian regime (Ironwood still lives and goes full dictator, causing Atlas to secede from the Kingdom Alliance).

Pearl vs Undyne!
Conditions:
Undyne starts in base.
Scenario:
When the monsters begin walking down from Mt. Ebott to rejoin with humanity, the Crystal Gems mistake this for a full on monster invasion and begin to fight them off. Acting in self defense, Undyne locks spears with Pearl.
Analysis: Pearl
What would you do if you were born into servitude? If all your life, you were nothing but an object to be owned. A thing to be bought. What would you do, if after centuries of a life spent like that, someone finally set you free? Well, if your name is Pearl, then you'd fall head over heels in love with them.
Pearls are the servant class of gem society. From the moment they sprout fully formed from the ground, they're handed off to high class gems to manage their needs and chores. Pearl originally belonged to White Diamond, the big ruler of all gemkind herself, but was handed down to the bratty little kid of the royal diamond family, Pink Diamond. You see, Pink.... "broke" her original Pearl.
Pink was very... innocent, for lack of a better term. She was childish, bratty, and unaware of the consequences of her actions at the best of times. That's why she was never trusted with running her own colony and expanding the Empire. She simply couldn't handle it... until her complaining finally annoyed her fellow Diamonds enough for them to give her her own planet: Earth.
It was there that Pink learned what colonization entailed: wiping the slate clean. Sucking all life from the Earth and leaving nothing behind. Disgusted, Pink took on the alias of Rose Quartz and staged a rebellion against herself, with Pearl as her dreaded sidekick, the terrifying Renegade Pearl.
Pearl idolized Rose for this. Feel in love with her deeply and completely, in a way she never knew she could feel about anyone before. So much so that, even as the consequences of Rose's actions feel down around them, Pearl held her up as something untouchable. Someone perfect.
These insecurities followed her years after the thousand year rebellion came to an end and even after Rose's death after that. Rose would give up her life to create a half human child and Rose would be tasked with raising him. An innocent young boy named Steven.
As one of the last three remaining Crystal Gems, Pearl is a deeply intelligent warrior, fighting on the front lines in a thousand year long war and continuing to fight dangerous superhuman beasts after that. She keeps a plethora or swords and spears stored in her gemstone, the very culmination of her being, which she can use to seal away objects and people. Her ambidextrousness and athleticism allows her to switch up strategies on the fly, fluidly dodging attacks with a dancer's grace, alternating between swords and spears on the fly, and summoning holograms of herself to train with her or assist in combat.
Pearl is skilled enough to train Connie Maheswaran up from a regular teenage girl into a nearly superhuman swordmaster who can cleave a car in half. Though it helps that her spears can shoot lasers from the tip. Not to mention all of her unique Gem powers. As a Gem, Pearl's body is actually a hard light inorganic construct that she can shapeshift to her will. She doesn't age, is completely immune to any human weaknesses like diseases, and she can regenerate her body from any amount of damage so long as her gemstone remains intact. Furthermore, she can trap and teleport opponents away with a bubble and fuse with any other willing Gem for an exponential boost in power.
It took a long time for Pearl to begin to process her grief and begin to see Rose for the flawed, nuanced person she actually was. Not helping matters how she and everyone else sort of treated Steven like a Rose 2.0, giving the poor boy a massive complex. But, as Steven did what his mother could not and brought peace between humanity and gemkind, Pearl grew and matured alongside him, redefining what it meant to be a Crystal Gem and learning how to always find a way to save the day.
Analysis: Undyne
Monsterkind has not seen the surface of the Earth in generations. Sealed away by mistrustful humans long ago, monsters now live beneath the surface of Mt. Ebott. With limited resources that will one day run dry, the monsters live a life without light and without hope.
The Underground needs a hero. Undyne, the Captain of the Royal Guard, is willing to step up to the challenge.
Inspired by heroes who served in the Human-Monster War, Undyne dedicated her life to training, hoping to claim the soul of the next human who fell Underground so that monsters can break the barrier and save themselves. And if she had to kill a child to do so, so be it. Monsters have suffered long enough.
Undyne, as Captain of the Royal Guard, is Natura one of the strongest monsters in the Underground, one of the few whose blows can stagger King Asgore himself. She can summon her spears to attack from any direction, even directly beneath the enemy's feet, and can circle around you to attack from the opposite direction they came from. Her magical spears do damage to both body and soul simultaneously, potentially even destroying your soul with one hit. Furthermore, Undyne can turn a foe's soul green, physically rooting them in place to keep her foe from evading or escaping her blows. Though, her sense of fair play does bite her here, as she has a tendency to provide her opponent with a shield to defend themselves with.
But, above all, Undyne's greatest strength is her determination. Her shear stubbornness rivals even that of other humans, allowing her to harness the spiritual essance of Determination in a way no other monster can. Regenerating from being split in half in a burst of desperate willpower to become the Undying.
As the Undying, Undyne is far and away the strongest being in the Underground, trumping even Asgore in sheer strength by a wide margin. Her attacks from every direction become nearly unavoidable and her sheer durability makes any fight with her a marathon.
The only problem is, it doesn't last forever. When Undyne reaches her limits in this form, she will begin to melt, as her body just cannot handle high concentrations of Determination like a human body can. As a monster, Undyne is extra vulnerable to attacks with a high killing intent, which Determination can't quite entirely negate. Against a human with greater Determination, her defeat is inevitable...
Luckily, if the Player has any conscience at all, that won't happen. If Frisk is allowed to show mercy, Undyne gets the chance to realize that not all humans are evil, setting aside her prejudice to help Frisk save the Underground from absolute destruction and break the barrier.
No matter your choices, Undyne will always be the Hero of the Underground.
Throwdown Breakdown:
This matchup is absolutely fascinating.
Calling back to my verdict in Peridot vs Sir Pentious, I do thoroughly believe that Gems have souls. Certain abilities such as Steven's astral projection and his ability to enter minds have spiritual connotations, so they should be susceptible to soul based attacks. As such, Pearl has never displayed any resistance to attacks that directly destroy your soul and could therefore be one shot by Undyne if she manages to get any hits off.
So, the question becomes: can Undyne land a single hit on Pearl?
Pearl far outstrips Undyne in terms of skill and experience. While Undyne's training with Asgore and Papyrus is impressive, especially considering the attacks both are capable of throwing out, she lacks Pearl's thousands of years of live battlefield experience. For every moment she's free, Pearl is going to be dancing and weaving circles around Undyne, with Undyne's short temper and tendency towards frustration exasperating this. If Frisk is capable of luring Undyne into Hotland for an environmental advantage, I think a fighter as acrobatic as Pearl is capable of the same.
However, Pearl's reliance on acrobatics means she's going to struggle that much more to adapt to Green Mode, effectively forcing her to stand there like a wall and deflect shots from all sides. It's a complete shift in mentality for her. It doesn't help that the few times Pearl has actually gotten hit, it's been because she was either distracted and thrown off her game, or suprised by something she's never seen before. This is both. She her losses against Spinel, Peridot, and the time she got poofed by her own holo-Pearl.
Back in Pearl's corner, she isn't very likely to push Undyne into the Undying state. Even if this were an "all morals off, Death Battle" scenario, Pearl is not a genocidal monster who would one shot Undyne through sheer hatred like the Player did in the Genocide Route. Undyne isn't going to be inspired to save the whole world from her. That said, this point goed back in Undyne's corner. Even without Undying, Undyne is still extremely tough to put down through sheer determination and Pearl is going to have to work very hard to wear her out.
In situations where Pearl wins, it'll come in the late fight, with Pearl adapting to Undyne's tricks with superior skill and experience while using her Holo-Pearls to outnumber her and beat her down from various ranges and with various styles. See her later rematches against Spinel and Peridot after adapting to their tactics. Unfortunately, Pearl doesn't have the margin for error she needs to last that long. Without any resistance to direct soul destroying attacks, Pearl is dead if she makes a single mistake, where Undyne can and will keep fighting even while melting into goo.
Pearl has all the tricks she needs to beat Undyne and she's doing everything right for a fight against her, but to win consistently, she'd have to be absolutely perfect. And given her track record in similar situations, she simply isn't.
This Throwdown's Winner is...

Finished up a whole digimon Tamer today! So I wanted to post him with his digimon partner!
Tumblr media
Damian Greyson is a 14-year-old Florida resident who just enjoys being alive. He's not great at school, but he's not awful either. He tends to roll with whatever comes his way, but does love the occasional challenge. Both of his parents served in active duty army service, but after the death of his father overseas, his mother settled back down in their home state for some needed stability.
Greyson isn't all that social, but has managed to keep a close group of friends, all of them digimon Tamers like himself. While greyson himself is a pretty relaxed sort, his partner digimon, Renegade, is a rambunctious hungry dinosaur who's always looking for a scuffle. The two balance each other out really well, and they can always count on each other, as well as their friends and family for the support they need.
Greyson holds in his digivice the conduit of honor, a sort of virtue of great power he can draw on to power up his partner, allowing him to digivolve. As is appropriate to his crest, greyson is a straightforward person. He has a very clear set of moral standards, and any action he takes, you can be sure he weighed it against those morals before acting.
Tumblr media
Renegade the Agumon(blk) is a loud and rambunctious digimon. Always ready to scuffle, he'll never turn down a sparring match against anyone he sees as a challenge. He'll never fight anyone weaker than him, however. Being an honorable digimon, renegade believes that while combat is fun, honor lies solely in the people you can protect, not in the act of fighting to protect them. He's therefore not above using cheap tricks and tactics to gain an upper hand, especially if he's fighting to protect someone. His sword is something he's always had on him since he turned rookie. He treasures is dearly, and will always speak to greyson's human friend, Vivian, to repair it if it breaks or chips.

When renegade digivolves into his champion form, Sabergreymon, he becomes noticeably more animalistic. In this state he becomes much more aggressive, utilizing every blade on his body to deal massive damage to any enemies he faces. The blade at the end of his tail is built into a swivel, allowing him to turn the blade independently of the tail, to hack and slash from any angle.

Both greyson and renegade tapped into an inner anger when their friends were injured, allowing renegade to digivolve into his ultimate form, Berzerkergreymon. In this form, renegade gains the power of flight through the use of 6 fire-like wings, similar to those found on the back of metalgreymon. In this form, renegade wields a massive jagged blade with all the fury of a dragon, refusing to let up until the opponent in front of him has been cut to ribbons.
Tumblr media
Having harnessed that inner rage and learned to focus and direct it at those who would destroy two worlds, greyson harnessed the true power of the conduit of honor, allowing renegade to reach his mega form, Paladingreymon. While tall and formidable, renegade retains the same sense of honor he has always held. Both the armor and his sword are designed with the intent to fight unfairly, utilizing the many spikes to deal damage in tandem with his sword. The sword itself was a gift from the injured royal knight, omnimon. Utilizing his sword data, the Digimon Tamer Vivian created what she calls the omni-sword 2.0, and gifted it to renegade and greyson.
Tumblr media
The omni-sword 2.0 is reminiscent of the sword wielded by the founder of the royal knights, inperialdramon paladin mode. However, some key differences include shorter guards, and spines near the base of the blade, designed to catch opponents' weapons and rip them from their grasp, of not outright break them. This sword is perfectly suited to Paladingreymon, as he will often use the spines against armed opponents to grab their weapons and pull them in, making them vulnerable to a spiked armor assault.

There is some sweet irony in elon musk ngl. He's living some whom gods would destroy half life. Convinced of his intellect and identity as an innovator, an "ideas guy", is basically just car culture with a respiratory system and this grand impervious inventor this deluded out of touch howard hughes 2.0, driven by the image of the maverick silicon valley hacker hero renegade maximum manliness mystique of the first .com bubble, this beacon of white male protaganism and conductor of consumer fomo - will go down in history forever as the motherfucker whos proudest moment was a pinto that nuts early.

I will never forgive JJ for coming up with the idea of a renegade stormtrooper, casting a black actor for the role, and then going out of his way to do less than nothing with the character whenever he was in charge. It's even more infuriating that RJ gets all the heat for this (including from me until I wised up) when he at least tried, however weakly, to do *something* with him.
Finn's arc was basically served on a silver plate, and yet they screwed up. JJ loosely set it up, then proceeded to do nothing with him other than following a very basic "escapes the death star and gleefully joins the good guys" arc, occasionally having him as comic relief (which would not be a problem per se, but *is* a problem since it doesn't remotely address how Finn could be a funny outgoing guy despite growing up as a child soldier; but that's another issue). Rian tried to do something with him, but yeah - kind of weakly, as objectively his and Rose's subplot was never meant to be the focus of the movie or steal the scene from the main force plot.
And then JJ came back in, and - what the fuck was that? Seriously what did Finn even do in TROS? Other than following Rey around? JJ was so concerned with putting the trio together than he completely forgot those three were never a trio to begin with, but three individual characters, each with their own stuff to do, and FINN had his own established connections (Rose, Poe), his own big bad (Hux), and his own purpose (leading a stormtrooper rebellion + supporting the text that the idea of stormtroopers being irredeemable sub-human brainwashed cannon fodder is TRASH, and no, the point is that there aren't occasional good apples like him and the other rebels because the Force blessed them, but that every stormtrooper is STILL HUMAN, and each and everyone of them can be virtually DEPROGRAMMED and FREED)
and like there were faint shadows of that concept here and there but they were so haphazardly done in a haste to retcon everything related to Rose and Rian's work and please the fanbros by giving Finn random Force sensitivity, introducing a new character to be basically Rose 2.0 and giving her Finn's plot and mission AND STILL DOING NOTHING WITH IT ANYWAY, what a mess
