Thinking hard. Braining heckery. Trying to make a Chaos Necromancer deck to rival Gren Maju decks. Best plan is a Magical Merchant and gambling by having like 4 spells/traps in the deck. One being World Legacy Pawns cause I'm too poor to own a Book Of Moon. Possibly 2 One for Ones and a Card Destruction. Probably a Morphing Jar too just to be safe. Then some Dante, Traveler Of The Burning Abysses to get even more graveyard monsters. Then some actual Burning Abyss (3 level 3s) monsters that will destroy themselves the moment a non Burning Abyss monster hits the field.

My ferret shelter needs your help!

The shelter I work with, Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter (WFRS), has a fantastic opportunity right now: a portable x-ray machine. We help a lot of sick ferrets, and often time is of the essence when we need to find out what's wrong. And with the price we pay for rads at a vet clinic, it would pay for itself in under 100 ferrets, reducing future med costs!

The machine is a nine-hour round trip away, but my wife and I are ready to go get it if we can wrangle the funds.

It's $3,000 for the machine, $550 for the U-Haul and gas, and $200 to register it with the state. That's a lot for one person, and not in the shelter's budget... but doable by a hundred through the magic of crowdsourcing!

Welcome to The Place Where the Little Ones Shine!

I’ve always had a soft spot for what’s referred to as “pocket pets”, you know the ones, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, etc. What I didn’t know is just how much they would influence my life.

My name is Liz, and I’m a staff member at the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA). I work a lot in the area of the shelter known as the Small Animals, or the smallies as we like to call it. And let me just say, these little animals are full of so many surprises, with lots of personality, joy, and spunk, each is unique in their own way. That simple fact, is something that is overlooked by perhaps almost the entire world, or at least what it seems like.

In my line of work, I spend each and everyday educating and advocating for the proper care and treatment of these animals. Each day may also bring along the animals which have not received such required care and treatment… and the fact that some of these animals even survive, amazes not only me, but our veterinary staff as well. From a rabbit revived from the brink of death, a guinea pig with bladder stones, an under socialized rabbit with attitude (there actually might be a lot of those), and hamsters with bulging eyes, there’s never a dull moment.

I invite you to join me as I tell my story, as I share what care these animals really need. And how each and everyday, they prove me to that they’re Small but Mighty!

i have no idea how to put this but other than the actual things they end up doing both halves of dough water have a really good resume of skills and personality traits you can imagine them doing all sorts of jobs or hobbies in AU scenarios. mostly i like to imagine them volunteering with animal shelters tho its like free serotonin

A lot has happened since I last posted here!

We've moved to a new house, and made a lot of new friends! The ferrets have a play space nearly double the size of the previous room and they love it!

Unfortunately in late February we lost Bandit to renal failure 💔 He was nearly 7 years old! He leaves behind Moxie who has been doing well since his passing.

But shortly after, the ferret distribution system sent us Henry who is kind of a medical miracle!

The majority of his brain tissue is lesion and non-functioning. Somehow, by some miracle, he still functions well and maintains a good quality of life, he's just kind of wobbly!

The neurologists don't think his condition will progress, and that he was likely born this way.

Everyone else is happy and well, and I hope to start posting more often again!
