Creating a Chase MD pilot because I want to
This is created with unlimited recources, budget, and cast
Show opens as normal, a person we've never seen before bursts into flames and is rushed to the hospital
After the intro we open on Foreman's office, as Chase walks in and starts sifting through the cases
It is immediately apparent that they are doomed to repeat the narrative, as this first Chase/Foreman scene is filled with parallels to the first House/Cuddy scene. Most notably that Foreman is pushing Chase to up his clinic hours.
It is obvious that they are now very close friends
New team is comprised of one man and one woman, and there is talk about the need to hire a third fellow after the last one left
"Why do we need three fellows?" "It's how we've always done it, ever since I started working here"
The main b-plot for this episode is Chase interviewing people. Showing his House-ness and anti-House-ness. as the episode progresses. Getting some season 4 cameos in there, before he eventually gives up
Chase and Foreman have lunch together in that gay little cafeteria and have a major Hilson moment.
This is where Choreman enters some level of canon to those brave enough to believe. Maybe a little hand touch
So many Australian jokes. In this episode only, then people mostly drop them
As they start working on the case, the two fellows discuss their opinions of Chase in the weekly group therapy session in the MRI room. They seem to overall like him but have some complaints.
It is clear they know of House, and some vague details, but not much
Some Choreman jokes, but not in a homophobic way.
The patient is slowly getting worse, and it seems that they will not be able to save them
Chase has his little house eureka moment and decides to MRI a banana or something equally as insane and they crack it
We have our little ending montage, and we see foreman and chase smiling and laughing as they have a drink. Again very gay. The episode fades to black, this could easily be the end, but it's not.
The team is sitting around the room talking about a new case, until Foreman bursts in, looking excited, holding his phone, and asks if the position for a new fellow is still open
He whispers something in Chase's ear and hands him the phone his face lights up
"The job is yours if you want it... alright see you then"
He turns to the team and says "None of you have triskaidekaphobia right?"

#36 feeling bad when the other is having a hard time
Tumblr media
feeling bad when the other is having a hard time original prompt list here
Robert’s health is rapidly deteriorating. Everyone can see it, and now even his daughters are aware of it. Apparently, Owen’s brother had told them before their trip to attend the wedding, and they’d taken to the news quite well.
Probably, Carlos thinks, because they hadn't seen until that moment what Huntington’s disease does to a person.
It’s not just the deterioration of Robert’s physical condition — the tremors that are harder to hide and the difficulty in remembering certain things. It’s also that, some time along the way, and not that far from that very moment, Robert will cease to be himself, becoming instead a ghost of the man he once had been.
But the disease is also taking its toll on Robert’s family. In the short time he’s known her, Carlos can tell Sydney looks exhausted; it’s the caretaker curse, he thinks. The girls don’t seem to understand what the illness is doing to their father’s health to its full extent, but Carlos is sure they will soon enough. Although it’s not only the girls he’s worried about.
TK thinks he can hide his pain from Carlos, but he’s got a trained eye on soul battlefields. He can tell when TK’s hurting, and this is one of those times. They’ve talked a lot in the past few weeks, ever since they found out about the hereditary condition Owen’s estranged father had gifted them all with. Finding out both Owen and TK should have been a relief, but TK hadn’t really looked happy about it. Instead, Carlos has noticed that his fiancé doesn’t really finish his food anymore and that he fidgets much more than before.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asks one night, the day before their last family dinner as fiancés.
“Talk about what?” TK answers without another question, raising one eyebrow at him.
“About what’s stressing you,” Carlos says, pointing at the way TK’s been pushing his vegetables around his plate. “And don’t tell me it’s wedding jitters. I know it’s deeper than that. I know you.”
TK takes a moment to himself, as though he’s pondering whether or not he can trust Carlos with whatever this is. And to Carlos’ utmost panic, he suddenly drops his fork and begins to cry.
It takes Carlos a second to stand up and rush to TK, pulling him into his warm embrace. “I’m here,” he whispers into TK’s ear. “I’ve got you.”
He rocks TK back and forth gently as his fiancé cries, TK’s tears wetting Carlos’ shirt where TK’s face is pressed against Carlos’ chest. It’s an almost unbearable feeling; Carlos’ heart breaks a little with each tear that TK sheds. He resorts to humming the song his mother always sang to him when he was a little kid and he was hurting, but not even that stops TK’s wails from echoing through the loft.
“I’m sorry,” TK hiccups. “I don’t know why I’m crying.”
“I think you do,” Carlos says softly, “but you’re scared to tell me.” When he feels, more than sees, TK nodding, he continues, “I’m here. I’m your soulmate, remember? You can tell me anything.”
“It’s just—I’m relieved that I won’t develop Huntington’s,” TK confesses. “But I’m so mad at myself because of that. Because my uncle is dying from it, and my cousins will have to grow up without a father, and he will never see them graduate from college, he will never walk them down the aisle, and they won’t be able to call him whenever they have a problem and I—”
“Hey, hey,” Carlos cuts him off. “Breathe, just breathe. “It’s okay to have conflicting feelings, baby. It’s a difficult situation.”
“I just think life’s so fucked up sometimes,” TK sniffles. “I’ve just found out I have extended family. Uncle Robert is so cool. And Aunt Sydney and the girls. Why do they have to go through it? I know what it’s like to lose a parent, I have a brother whos growing up without his mother and it kills me. How am I supposed to be here tomorrow night and smile at them and act as though nothing bad’s happening when he’s dying? When he wants to die?”
“I know your father has told you this before,” Carlos says after a moment. He chooses his words carefully through his own pain. “But we all have a death sentence hanging over our heads. We’re not promised tomorrow. So we might as well enjoy life to its fullest while we can. That’s what your uncle is doing.”
“But he’s asked Dad—”
“We can’t judge his decision,” Carlos continues, ignoring TK’s attempt at interrupting. “I know you don’t like it, but we have to respect it. We can’t understand anyone until we’ve walked a mile in their shoes, TK. But I get it,” he says softly, holding TK closer and tighter. “You have every right to be upset.”
TK nods, sniffling heavily until his crying resumes; he grabs a handful of Carlos’ shirt in his fist and squeezes, grieving for what could have been and mourning for what will never be.
After what seems like an eternity, TK’s crying subsides; Carlos tries to move back to see TK’s face, but his fiancé holds on for dear life, his grip almost hurting him, so Carlos does the only thing he can think of.
He holds on right back to TK.

Robin Hood (Formerly Known as Robert Huntington) ▪ 22 ▪ Cis Male ▪ He/Him/His ▪ Kim Mingyu ▪ Rebellion/Merrymen ▪ Open
Triggers: Poverty, Fire, Death
→ Past
Robin Hood was born as Robert Huntington to an impoverished family with a small plot of land. It was all that had survived through years of selfish royals and scraping to get by. There was not much to tend to and it bore little food, so their primary way of living was through the pottery his parents sold. Then they died and left him to fend for himself. Prince John took the land, claiming it was for the king, tossing Robert to the cold. He bounced around, staying in abandoned sheds and sneaking into people’s barns before they chased him away. While on the verge of starvation, he stole his first bit of bread. That was when his problems with the law began. He stole from the rich to give to himself; whenever he was caught, he gave the name of “Robin Hood” a common alias for thieves in the area. Soon, it became his name and he forgot who he used to be. As Robin got older, he amassed a group of followers and they lived in the forest, homeless but together. It was the first time Robin felt any sort of affection from anyone. No one had looked out for him since his parents died, but at least he had the Merrymen. After they got a handle on thieving, they began to turn to more altruistic pursuits and started to distribute their riches to the people. It was during one of those trips into town that he met Maid Marian and began to fawn over the unattainable woman. He never expected her to love him back, but she did. It didn’t matter that she was Prince John’s ward or anything else for that matter; he was determined to marry her someday. So, after one final trick on the Prince, she ran off with him into Sherwood Forest.
→ Present
After King Richard returned and struck a deal with Robin, he was pardoned and Robin was allowed to marry the woman he loved. They were happy living in a small cottage within the forest, enjoying a simple life away from royalty. He stopped stealing and continued his old family trade. Marian usually came with him into town to sell his pots, but that day she was feeling a bit under the weather. So, she stayed home. Robin returned to find the cottage in flames and the Merrymen attempting to douse the fire. It was in vain. Marian did not make it and Robin was homeless once more. He knew Prince John had caused the fire, but King Richard refused to execute a royal, no matter the crime and especially without evidence. Realizing the king was just as bad as the prince, Robin took to stealing again, this time in no one’s name but his own. After word of his antics spread, Robin was recruited by the rebellion. He agreed to join them, though he felt little more than numb. Still, doing good deeds helped distract him. Maybe he didn’t need anything aside from his Merrymen. At least, that was what he told himself before he met them. They make the darkness go away and he can't let that go.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Blaze Robert Stow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Blaze Robert, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time? “Its the not the Destination, It’s the journey.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. This is a lesson I needed to learn. There once was a time, where it was all work and no play. I was so preoccupied by my obsession for success, that I compulsively lost admiration for the current moment. I’m an all-or-nothing kind of guy, but I learned that doesn’t need to come at the cost of self-love and self-respect. I began trusting myself and the process more, and replaced the anxious worry of becoming successful, with the desire to achieve balance. I am presently enough. I work hard, but I play hard, and it’s all about the balance. Balance is essential, and a key factor in me feeling balanced is to take care of myself by having alone time, resting, relaxing, and doing the things I want to do, for me.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work. I’ve always had a good understanding of people, and I naturally find myself in leadership roles. At work, I manage a team of over 25 people, working several locations, at all hours, every day of the week. It’s a tough job, but I like the exciting pace and variation of the work days. I am a very caring person, and I try to lead my team with enthusiasm, and cultivate a positive environment. I once worked at a very busy Starbucks, and there I learned the importance of a happy team. My boss at the time taught me that a shift, is like a ship, and if your team isn’t happy to be working with you, you have holes in your ship. There is something very theatrical to my current leadership job and at the end of the day, I feel like I orchestrated something special. A defining characteristic of my team is that we work hard, but we have fun doing it. There’s a nice balance.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to? We’re in a convertible, feeling the warm air upon us, driving to the desert of Palm Springs. We hike along the sand dunes and rest in a palm tree oasis. You find me reading and relaxing by the pool of the Ace Hotel, while laughing at the memory of chasing each other with ATV’s. We go out eating, drinking, dancing, and stay woke well into the early morning. Keeping with the theme of balance, we quickly pack our bags and head back to Los Angeles just in time for a 10 o’clock morning meeting. After work you’ll find me climbing the Culver City stairs, releasing stress and soaking up the sunsets. We sit fireside at one of our favorite restaurants, Hermanito, then order Creme Brûlée Crepes to-go, eating and walking through the city at night. We wake up having brunch with our feet in the sand at the Back On The Beach Cafe. We just toured The Huntington Museum and Gardens, and are now on our way to the Hearst Castle! [Convertible driving along a winding coastal roadway fades out – while “Meet me On The Dancefloor” by Le Flex plays].
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my colleagues at One Health Labs. One Health Labs is currently testing for the Covid-19 virus, and has played a major role in keeping our industry safe and working, during the pandemic. I’d like to thank all my colleagues for working hard and building something great.

Been spending my time lately thinking of a House MD au where, through a series of accidents and lies and a bet he didn't rly intend to win, House ends up as a registered foster parent (he's still addicted to Vicodin and his normal dickish workaholic self but for some reason he cleared the requirements and trust me he's as stunned and mildly concerned as everyone else is).
Through further Shenanigans™, he ends up accidentally getting handed fostership of not one, not two, but three hellish but brilliant kids:
1. This total smartass 16 year old named Robert Chase who yeah he's a bitchy teenaged boy and a former rich kid and Australian with enough mommy and daddy issues to reawaken Freud after his dad dipped and absconded all parental rights and his mom drank herself to death, but he's also got a nice car left over from his rich kid days and an eye for detail and weirdly enough his best friend/mortal enemy (some other teen named Eric Foreman) and his on again off again girlfriend (Allison Cameron, totally won't last if u ask House) both work at the hospital as a candy striper and after school in the cafeteria respectively so House can get all the inside gossip from Chase. Plus Chase has no problems breaking and entering into patient's homes which helps bc since he's not employed by the hospital Cuddy can't complain as far as House is concerned.
2. A 14 year old girl who only answers to Thirteen (House knows he could look her name up in her file but honestly it drives Chase nuts that she won't tell him her real name and that's good enough for him) and who's dad was declared unfit after the death of his wife to Huntington's devastated him. She's a total nightmare, snarky and quick witted and freakishly smart even tho she puts most of those smarts towards things like shaving Chase's entire head (eyebrows included) bc he's trying to grow a sucky teenage mustache, and trying to take House's wallet bc she keeps calling him Old Man and he informed her he's actually only 25 but the stress of fostering has aged him prematurely and she's like 95% sure that's a lie but she wants to check his license and make sure bc everyone lies. She loves tormenting Chase by telling him his best friend and/or his girlfriend is hot and asking if they're single.
And 3. This 6 year old boy named Lawrence Kutner who's weirdly cheerful considering his parents got killed in front of him. He's way too chatty and excellent at puzzles and the only morning person in the entire house and therefore frequently tries to make breakfast (he likes to be helpful and he hasn't burned the place down yet so House doesn't feel the need to stop him). Once he told House he was gonna build a Death Star in the living room and House said lol sure go ahead whatever, only to return home from work to discover Kutner called himself out from school and has a huge wooden frame made of broken furniture in the living room. House rly can't argue since he did say go ahead. Benefits of fostering a 6 year old are 1. The babes love it, 2. Free excuse to leave work early/come in late/not show up at all, and 3. Justification for buying juice boxes and Ritz crackers. The neighbor kid Taub is his go to babysitter bc his mom volunteered him forcibly and Taub is lowkey praying that babysitting Kutner could lead to an in at Princeton Plainsboro once he graduates high-school and finishes medical school (it won't, House doesn't believe in nepotism unless it benefits him).
The adventures of House and his Foster Ducklings mostly revolve around being a Found Family, but do involve frequent plots such as:
House fired his brand new fellows again (he tosses em every three or so months, he hasn't found The Right Team yet) and will sometimes bring his foster kids in, hand em doctors coats, and tell patients that they're just a bunch of medical savants here to consult yes even the 6 year old he's actually Harvard's youngest graduate ever.
House sends the kids to break into a patient's home. They refuse. House tells them the first one to find black mold or lead paint or a dead animal or whatever gets $20. They agree. Chase drops Thirteen and Kutner off at a bus stop across town and drives over himself so he can get an hour and a half head start (ultimate fuck them kids moment, however Thirteen did steal his wallet so guess who's paying for lunch and their taxi ride to the patient's house? Net loss.)
Cuddy demands House does his clinic hours. House sends his foster kids to do his clinic hours for him. Tfw you go to the free walk in clinic for a sore throat and a cough and your doctor is a 6 year old boy who keeps asking for help with spelling whilst filling out your chart.
Wilson babysits them one (1) time since House doesn't trust Chase not to throw a party or sell his foster siblings on eBay if left as the one in charge. He wakes up with a big strip of hair poorly bleached right down the middle. Chase crushed up stolen sleeping pills and mixed them into a juice box, which Kutner 'innocently' offered to Wilson. Thirteen was going to bleach and dye his whole head blue (for practice, she wants to dye her hair but she's certainly not gonna fuck up her own hair until she has the method down) but Wilson woke up pretty quickly due to years of House drugging him. Wilson has not offered to babysit again.
Anyways this is my House Foster Ducklings au which I'm thinking about actually writing. Thank u 🫡

Side Chair from the Worsham-Rockefeller Dressing Room
1881-1882
George A. Schastey & Co.
In 1881, Arabella Worsham, then-mistress of railroad magnate Collis P. Huntington, hired George A. Schastey & Co. to decorate her townhouse at 4 West Fifty-Fourth Street in New York City. The resulting artistic interiors would have been considered the height of cosmopolitan style in the early 1880s and were emblematic of Worsham’s quest to fashion her identity as a wealthy, prominent woman of taste. When Worsham married Huntington in 1884, she sold the house, fully furnished, to John D. and Laura Spelman Rockefeller, who made few subsequent changes to the decorations. Following Mr. Rockefeller’s death, the house was demolished in 1938, yet some furnishings, large-scale architectural elements, and three interiors were preserved, and the rooms were donated to local museums by John D. Rockefeller Jr.
This side chair of satinwood and purpleheart, one of a pair, is part of the suite (2009.226.1–.4) that furnished Worsham’s elaborately decorated dressing room, one of the preserved interiors now installed in The American Wing (Gallery 742). These objects were part of a decorative program that encompassed every aspect of the room, including the architectural woodwork, lighting, stenciled wall-treatment, painted ceiling and frieze, textiles, and other furnishings. On the chair’s back, the marquetry decoration of grotesque masks and vines echoes the ornamental motifs in the dressing room’s architectural woodwork. The overall form is light and rectilinear. The tapered front legs with cascading bellflowers channel the spirit of English Neoclassical designers such as Robert Adam and George Hepplewhite. It rests on castors, allowing it to be moved easily within the room.
Although few objects can be attributed to George A. Schastey & Co., the high quality of their work – as seen in this fine example – was comparable to other prominent firms of the Gilded Age, including Herter Brothers and Pottier & Stymus. At its peak in the early 1880s, the firm employed at least 125 people in its workshops. Their distinctive designs are steeped in Renaissance sources with flourishes from the Islamic world and the British design reform movement.

We love a busy Glen!!!!
The filming of Glen Powell-starrer ‘Huntington’ is set to begin in South Africa this May. John Patton Ford is at the helm of the movie. Ford wrote the thriller inspired by Robert Hamer’s 1949 British black comedy film ‘Kind Hearts and Coronets,’ starring Alec Guinness and Dennis Price. The film revolves around Becket Redfellow (Powell), an heir to a multi-billion dollar fortune who won’t stop at anything to garner “what he deserves… or thinks he deserves.”

i made Two Guys in cas while playing with the brow/forehead wrinkle makeup. i dont know you guys i feel like i dont have enough bearded men in my sim bin... idk...
for the sim on the left, the name i am envisioning for him: J. Robert Harrington. i just feel like he would have a 3 part name like that. what does the J stand for? that's classified, he says 🤭 i was inspired by j huntington iii's snobby name from ts4.
the sim on the right was my attempt at making dallas from payday 2. i don't think he resembles dallas at all 🙄 but he's not bad looking. he gives me sexy criminal/crime boss vibes.
i've been thinking abt populating and playing an empty world with my own sims, maybe i'll put them in there.
